    Besides the plot(hole) driven stories and probably a fungus infection making everybody in this game not think properly, mediocre/10. the graphics lives up to naughty dog standard,

    Lets get the positives out of the way. The game is beautiful one of the best looking games you can get right now. With great animations, character models and stunning enviromental design. But that's pretty much all the postitives i can think.

    When I finished this game, I didn’t like it. I felt like they really went with a messy story on this one. That was until I sat back and let it marinate. The more and more I thought of it, the more I realized why Neil and company had made this game so polarizing. The same reason why Ellie couldn’t let go of her want for revenge, we couldn’t let go of the hurt we experienced when Joel died.When I finished this game, I didn’t like it. But if you are willing to unconditionally love the game for what it is and not what you wanted it to be, you can totally enjoy and understand a game. Troy Baker made this point about the game in an interview and it really opened my eyes on why this really is a masterpiece. Not everyone is willing to believe that, in fact I had some struggles with it too but it all depends on how long you want to let go of what could’ve been and not what is. At the end of the day, this game is what it is and I’m sure everyone who’s played it from start to finish would agree that when it shines, it **** shines. Once you go back to the first game and realize how different and yet how similar a game it is to it’s sequel, you notice that Naughty Dog was never planning to do anything like it again. Sequels need to do something new and the fact that it’s getting hate, means that it’s really doing it’s job, other than the fact that the leaks made some people stubborn. Ultimately, I now understand why critics say this is a masterpiece, even though the word has been overused. Take your time with it because it is the game of the year, no question, and it will be a polarizing release in Naughty Dog’s catalog for years to come.     Finished the game with 50+ hours, the basic gameplay is same as part1, i mostly play with stealth style, i wish there is more improvement on that like dragging bodies etc, however the level design have improved lot, much more open ended especially early level design, but i wish there is more path to arrive a destination instead of forced to go through certain way.     So what's the bottom line? Terrible plot submission, parasitic mechanics, a huge deception in advertising from the expectations and the resulting reality.

    Negative points:I think the part where you play as Abby is a little bit too long.But that is okay for me.So the next point I really dont like is that you have to play as Abby when you fight the first time against Ellie.But for me is the biggest negative point that the end is too hopeless,Ellie have nothing more,no revenge,she lost Joel ,jessie ,JJ and Dina.Tommy hates her.And she lost two fingers and cant play the guitar from joel anymore.This is the saddest ending at all,for such a great character.But Abbye get all in all a very hopefull ending what is not fair for me.

    All in all it is a goodgame but I think the first Game is 1 Point better.Also I dont belive that they will make a part 3,because I dont think that they can tell anathor Story about Ellie.So the only option would be make a Game with a new Main antagonist or with abby.And that would probably noboy buy.    … Expand

    This game is truly one of the biggest letdowns of the generation. The developers show a clear (almost sadistic) level of contempt for the established fan base of this game. Characters are assassinated, politics are pushed, and in the end the game feels like a hollow facsimile of its former self. This game is getting review bombed and it **** deserves it.

This game is an absolute masterpiece with amazing gameplay and storyline.. naughty dogg have continually proved they make the best story driven games and this is no different. A must own for any ps4 owner

I loved it from start to finish, felt emotionally attached to the characters throughout, loved the storyline, and of course the gameplay. Gameplay is very similar to TLOU1 with a few more mechanics, so if you loved the first one and feel ready for a different experience with plenty of surprises, pick up the game! It will be a rollercoaster!

    More details - Spoilers ahead:

    Most people complain about Joel's fate, but I thought that was a great piece of writing. After what happened in TLOU 1 it's only natural that people want to hunt him down. It was hard to watch, but hey, that's TLOU. This sets in motion a revenge story that sees Ellie spiral more and more until you can't recognise her anymore. Again, people say that they missed the quirky young Ellie, but hey, that's the point I guess. She loses it.

    Then you get to play Abby (again loads of people are pissed off that she doesn't look like a "classic" girl. Get over yourselves and play the damn game!). People seem to struggle to empathise with her apparently, but I loved playing her and as her story unravels I got more and more attached to her. In the final confrontation I was begging Ellie not to kill her. I definitely felt as emotional playing n°2 as I did playing °1. I guess people expected another beautiful Joel and Ellie adventure, but for me, this was way better and succeeded in creating another amazing story.

    9/10 - Removed a star because gameplay hasn't evolved much and it was a bit repetitive. Also felt that the game was a little too politically correct, going a bit overboard on the LGBTQ trans stuff. I have no problem with that of course, but it was so present that I was pulled out of the game and started thinking about how political the studio was getting.    … Expand

    I needed around 24 hours for a normal playthrough with 184 collectables found. This game is something special, positive and negative. Positives first: Big step up in gameplay in comparison to the first game, amazing sound design and soundtrack, amazing level design(the places feel like real places and not combat areas), the groundbreaking animations and the amazing acting, especially by Troy Baker, Ashley Johnson and Laura Bailey. These aspects are better than Tlou in every scene and level. They set new industrial standards. Negative aspects:
    The difference between story/theme and gameplay. The moral of the story is that revenge is bad and the killing of innocent people isn't worth it, but the gameplay has a different opinion about it, it forces you to kill a lot of enemies in the most brutal way, if you want or not. You can't progress without killing at least 80% of all enemies in a area. I only finished one level without killing everyone, and I tried to save as many lifes as possible. It's a contradiction between story and gameplay in a way i have never seen it, it destroys the theme of the game. The handling of a lot of characters is also disappointing because 1. they have no character development and 2. they behave like different people. Part 1 and part 2 has the same characters but they have different personalities. You play half the game as a different character than Ellie and these segments are strange. You play them after playing them with Ellie but earlier in the timeline. These level are too long, specially because you start from the beginning where you have to work yourself back to the climax. The three in game days are interesting but the story is stretched and feels like they want to hold you back. If you don't like the character you are playing these segments feel really long (I almost quit the game for that reason, it felt like work to progress and not like fun). If the chapters where like Seattle day 1, day 1, day 2, day 2, day 3 and day 3 it would feel better to play because you work with both characters on the climax and not like one finished her arc and the other starts hers after that.
    Verdict:
    The last of us part 2 is an amazing game in terms of animation, Gameplay, acting and sound design but the story stops the game from being a masterpiece like its predecessor. If i would include the horrible working conditions and leak handling, the game would rank lower. What has been achieved, a higher technical bar in the industry was paid by the health of the worker at naughty dog. Was it worth it?

    I can’t remove points from this games. Beautiful graphics, excellent physics, excellent gameplay and a great history. Some people won’t like this game, but say that it has no quality, is a **** So 0 it’s a dishonest note even if you don’t like TLOU2.

    an insult to the first game, horrible characters, a very slow start to a plot that is not up to the task and very repetitive to the point that you get bored, or at the heel of 1 the only thing you can say "how nice" are the graphics since gameplay is rough.

The most important thing to be said is how poor and dangerous of a job professional journalists/critics have been with handling the reviews for this game. All of the critics reviews released before launch were bound to a strict no tell policy of roughly 12 hours of this 24 hour game. There is no way to give an objective opinion and accurately review your likes/dislikes of the game along with any of its failures or successes if you can't discuss half the game. If you want integrity and honesty in your critic reviews, only those on or after 6/19/20 should be considered. With that being said the main reason this game fails so badly and is such a slap in the face to the original is the terribly poor writing.

    The two most important plot points:

    Around the 3hr mark Joel is beaten to death with a golf club by a girl named Abby who turns out to be the daughter of the surgeon Joel killed at the end of the first game. How this girl and her group were able to survive a cross country trip across the U.S. is mind boggling considering what Joel and Ellie went through in the first game. The only reason Joel/Ellie survived was due to the the close to 2 decades of experience and survival that Joel had to endure as a hunter, smuggler, and courier. Joels wit, penchant for brutality, lack of trust, and skepticism/shrewdness is what kept them alive. Joel was very much a analogue man in the digital age. He grew up long before the invention of gps, internet, smart phones, etc. He would have lived decades travelling via maps, landmarks, signs, and word of mouth. How Abby's group was able to do what Joel was able to is never explained considering especially that the fireflies were on the verge of Extinction when Joel/Ellie arrive at the hospital. When Joel flees with Ellie the fireflies have lost their leader, head surgeon, and some of their most heavily armed and trained members leaving them eviscerated and in disarray. There is simply no explanation as to why Abbys group was capable enough to survive that journey. This coupled with the extraordinary luck of Joel just happening to be the one to meet and save Abby or call it extremely poor writing as that is what it is. The sheer stupidity of this plot design is enraging given the fact the first game gives no development to the surgeon Joel kills him and the game forces that decision on the player. He could have easily been incapacitated but the game doesn't allow that. Some no thought decision in the first game is the catalyst for the entire plot of the second.

    The worst part of the game is probably the 20 or so hours that follow. About 12 hrs of the game you are forced to play as Abby the antagonist of the story and the woman who executed Joel while forcing Ellie to watch. Its literally a misery simulator at this point. The game gives no reason to push the analog stick forward to continue the game. If by some chance you manage to summon the will to do so you're treated to a cross country tour of revenge where Ellies savagely, brutally, and mercilessly slaughters and maims dozens upon dozens of people that have not wronged her or her friends/family and they have no affiliation with Abby's group what so ever. After reaching the end Ellie is on the verge of killing Abby when a flashback of Joel playing guitar forces her to stop and allow Abby to live and go merrily on her way.

    This all sounds like terrible fan fiction or as if you're on an episode of punked but sadly its the truth.

    The Last Of Us fans deserved better, the people who worked hard on this game that were not involved in its writing deserved better, the fans deserved better, and most importantly Joel and Ellie deserved better.

    The game cannot receive a 0 however as a lot of people not involved in writing the game worked very hard on the gameplay, production, voice acting and mocap, and the art/sound design. Its a shame their work is unravelled by one of the poorest sequels in video game history.

    This game was a masterpiece. I'm honestly surprised at how precious gamers are about their characters particularly when the game's narrative is set in a grim apocalyptic reality which is supposed to have real stakes. To me this game is an incredible exploration of anger and vengeance. And it's ultimate success is in getting you the player to feel the desire for vengeance but towards theThis game was a masterpiece.     The plot and direction got the most critics. The way Naughty Dog dealt with gender fluidity, revenge and post-apocalyptic action consequences is worth of detailed attention.
    Pacing is not excellent, as the game is riddled with many cutscenes that break the rhythm, but the payoff is amazing as they tackle a story that puts the two protagonists on the same level. Something that was never really achieve in the industry up to that point. The story is well written, and even if not rendered in the best way possible, still needs recognition for the intimacy it creates with players. This is a game that needs to be played beyond the harsh critics it initially raised. Because those were overreactions. Do not react, play. Do not judge, enjoy. You won't be let down.    … Expand

    Juego gráficamente increíble, aunque a la hora de ser juzgado por su narrativa me a parecido estar muy por debajo del nivel de la primera entrega, tanto que no volvería a jugarlo e incluso me arrepiento de haberlo hecho, ya que mancha una primera entrega perfecta, muy defraudado con este nuevo título.

Pushes transsexual agenda upon children, yet Naughty Dog keep talking about how they don't like to "sexualise" characters. You are fostering mental illness and it is simply deplorable. I don't care what anybody says, this is simply the truth, and everybody knew this just 8 years ago but we seemed to have forgotten when it was suddenly pushed upon everyone via the mainstream media. This tripe also has an anal sex scene with one of the "sexually ambiguous" characters called "Abbie". The story is a trainwreck, the gameplay is mediocre and also disgustingly violent, the entire game is in fact a sick SJW fantasy murder simulator for them to enact out their misplaced rage. There is absolutely nothing to enjoy about this. Wish I could get a refund.… Expand

    This game was a major disappointment.

    The combat/stealth mechanics are basically identical to the original, but the story is atrocious. Garbage one-dimensional characters riddled with "woke" messaging. Save yourself $60, and buy something else.

    El juego es realmente bueno, aunque no se puede comparar al primero que salió. Me parece que es más sencillo de lo que esperaba, creí que la dificultad sería mayor al momento de hacer muertes en sigilo o la inteligencia de los CPU. Pero una vez sabes cómo ocultarte de ellos todo lo pasas sin problemas.

    The story was a 3/10, everything else was a 10/10. The Last of Us is a game I bought exclusively for the story, so as a whole it gets a 3/10 from me.

Snažil som sa nájsť aj negatíva, ktoré by nejako výrazne kazili hru, ale márne. Svojho predchodcu prekonáva po každej stránke a môžem ju odporučiť všetkýmMôže to znieť trochu otrepane, ale The Last of Us: Part 2 je naozaj výnimočná hra, ktorá exceluje vo všetkých smeroch, či to už je rozprávanie príbehu, vizuálne stvárnenie, gameplay, hudobný sprievod alebo samotná dĺžka kampane.     First ever preorder did not regret it. This game has it emotional highs and lows but I still loved it as it was everything I expected minus the multiplayer aspect really wish they return to this franchise for a suitable part 3 to end a great franchise the proper way as so much still left to uncover, Sony did it again!
