    the dumbest writing i have ever seen in a game. if you want to see a she-hulk bash joels head in with a golf club 2 hours in then continue to kill Ellie's loved ones over a grueling boring and depressing game then go ahead. the ending makes absolutely no sense and just shows how bad neil druckman is as a writer.

    1 point just because the gameplay and visuals are good (very similar to Uncharted 4). The story has nothing to do with the story of the first one, don't expect to have Joel and the Ellie we know, and everything was done like this because a political agenda. If you like stupid violence, a nonsense plot and stupid characters this is your game

    The graphics are good but it wouldve just been better as a movie, the visuals is literally the only good part about it. The forced story takes you out and with this game being mostly cutscenes it leaves little to the imagination

    Woke, SJW garbage. Poorly written. Tries to be progressive but ends up being regressive. Game developers completely out of touch with reality. Graphics are good if that's any consolation.

    Si buscas jugarlo por su historia mejor no lo compres pero si buscas jugabilidad es buena opcion. No me parecio muy bueno el rumbo de la nueva historia y como resulto la muerte de Joel. El primer juego fue muy bueno por la historia que nos narran con Joel y Ellie cosa que se perdio en esta segunda parte.

    El juego esta bien en el aspecto de mecánicas, detalles y todo aquello, gráficamente sabíamos que le sacaría todo a una PlayStation 4 pero la historia, el punto fuerte del juego es como si la hubiera hecho un director de Netflix, escenas de sexo totalmente innecesarias. Matar a Joel muy mal hecho, cómo os ocurre matar al personaje que tenía la definición de the Last of us. This game is a disaster, if there wasn't a TLOU .. it would be a huge game with a story problem (as u all know by now) ... but, you spend a lot of time building some of the best characters in games history, we fell in love with Joel and Ellie .. then in this garbage we see them get out of character, it doesn't even make sense ! i don't give a damn about Abby, but i don't accept for a second to harm the main character of the 1st game, it's ridiculous, unacceptable and unfair ... and then youuuuuuuu make me do it ?! how the hell am i supposed to react ? i'm not even SAD, i'm MAD ! this game is an insult to TLOU and to the reputation of ND and Sony !     This game was such a disappointment on all levels. However, let's start with a positive - which is why I'm rating it 3 stars.

    Pros: -Game is gorgeous. it's imperceptible when it switches between cutscenes and gameplay. -The sound is good. -The voice acting is good. Especially Joel (Troy Baker). -You can customize the difficulty to fit your specific playstyle - a nice touch. Cons:    This game was such a disappointment on all levels.     - Addition of dodge mechanic feels forced and bad
    - Mocap used here creates and uncanny valley effect and certain emotions appear very strange looking on character faces
    - Dead eyes
    - Jump scares
    - Did I mention unlikeable characters?
    - Did I mention hollow characters?
    - Repetitive gameplay
    - All of the zombies have the same scalp model SMH

    The biggest con is the story. l'm not upset that they had a heavy, unsettling, surprising storyline. In fact, that can be fun and interesting and thought provoking. The the characters and backstory are so unlikeable that you can't empathize with their reasoning. The result of that is just feeling (as the player) frustrated and betrayed. I didn't enjoy the gameplay and I didn't enjoy the story and I didn't empathize or feel connected to any of the characters or their motivations. It's a bad game. Druckman made it impossible to empathize and care about new characters whilst assassinating old, well-loved ones.    … Expand

    Heartbroken, that's how I feel. Character assassination to the highest of levels. Killing Joel would have been fine, killing him this way? Making one of the most badass characters in gaming history look like a **** moron? **** hell. Ellie going on this quest for revenge, killing all those people and she spares the most despicable one because of a vision of Joel. The man who would have not only killed them, but also tortured them if she was the one that died. And what is the moral of the story? This franchise is dead. I just hope they won't make more games. It hurts seeing one of my favourite games being burned to the ground.    … Expand

    The game doesn't impressed me in any way. The gameplay is a bore-fest paired with weak story & plot holes. The treatment toward known character is disrespectful & most of the characters is pretty uninteresting. I didn't have any love toward the first one but I fully agreed that it is a far better game than part II. I don't really know who is this game for and for what crowd it is pandering to.

    This franchise is like a big bait and switch. The first game was engaging, fun and interesting with a captivating story. The sequel is a big agenda driven mess with poorly told because its held back by the need to follow an extreme ideology rather than good storytelling. Very sad.

I’m gonna start off by saying that I don’t like this type of gameplay, but I enjoyed the last of us one because of the story and characters, I wish I could say the same thing about the last of us 2, I literally felt empty throughout most of the game the only good parts were the intro and Ellie’s flashbacks. I get that they’re trying to explain that revenge and vengeance are bad and they Will never have a good outcome but this isn’t how you explain it. Take for example the god of war series, they explained it perfectly. Cratos basically killed all of his enemies but the lesson learnt was that killing them could never bring him peace nor bring back his family. However in this game Ellie literally loses everyone she loves and never gets revenge.
    Also do you really expect us to forgive or sympathize with Abby simply because you gave us her backstory at the worst time possible? I never expected NaughtyDog to make a story this bad and if someone told me this story before the game came out I would think they Were reading fan fiction, save your money.    … Expand

    I almost excused naughty dogs abhorrent behavior trying to silence people into not saying anything critical about the game. I am not able to make it past the half way point in the game without it pushing a rusty story line and woke agenda. Will be trying to get a refund. This is most definitely pro SJW garbage that i can not get behind what Neil Druckmann was thinking is beyond me.

    I spent a lot of effort to keep my self unspoiled for this game I loved the first one and I wanted this to be a clean play through. It was stunning with the graphics the game play was ok but not really anything new. Dear god though what did you all do to this story I mean come on it..... you took something good and just pissed all over it.     Понравилась, игра наполняет разными чувствами от злости до жалость, от переживания до полного пофигизма к происходящему и одних этих ощущений достаточно! А там ещё атмосфера и гемплей ... в общем - ЗАЧОТ!

    Сюжет и персонажи? Про это даже говорить не хочется, если честно, нормальные люди и так всё понимают. Но всё же, шокирующая новость: НИКТО НЕ ЛЮБИТ СМЕРТИ ПЕРСОНАЖЕЙ В СИКВЕЛАХ, БЛЯТЬ. Это делает их историю в предыдущих играх абсолютно бессмысленной, это обнуляет и уничтожает абсолютно всю связь, которая могла образоваться между игроком и персонажем. Дракман возомнил себя Джорджем Мартином, а на деле просто жидко пёрнул в штаны и снял последний сезон Игры Престолов.

    И да, для свидетелей отсутствующей повесточки: в игре её просто дохуя. Начиная от всей этой лесбийской темы, БИГОТА (сука, современные левацкие термины в постапоке, бля, неужели кто-то действительно думает, что люди, использующие такие термины, смогут прожить хотя бы несколько месяцев в мире глобальной катастрофы?), женщин на всех главных ролях, ну и заканчивая, собственно, геймплеем. Да-да, гномиха-Элли вырезает сотни вооружённых людей. Крайне достоверно.

    Ну и на последок, какой же Дракман всё же поехавший клоун. Ведь он действительно наверняка специально подходил к программистам с просьбой ЗАПРЕТИТЬ игрокам стрелять в еврейскую библию.

False advertising that you would be potentially travelling with Joel through most of the game just to be smacked down when he dies in the first 2 hours of the game with such disrespect. Then they have the audacity to make an attempt to make you feel sympathetic to his killer while forcing you to play as them.

    The story was so crap and they had 7 years to think of something great, but all they did was focus on political agendas and listen to the wrong people who do not even respect the gaming industry or video games in general. If you play this game and finish it, you will not feel satisfied whatsoever, because you do not even serve justice to the person who killed Joel, despite the fact you go across the country and kill hundreds of people just to get to them then change your mind right when you are about to pull the trigger on killing them.

    Naughty Dog has abandoned the fanbase's trust and should be bankrupted from boycotts on their games. They went full woke, so now they should go broke.    … Expand

    The story is so horribly badly written I can't even understand why and how that happened?
    Self-inserting of the game devs was what shocked me the most. Do it in a fun way. But THIS?
    Disgusting.

    I wish I would have saved this money for something else.

    Please make some good storyline and storytelling, and if want to kill beloved character kill him like Arthur in RDR and make his worse than a horse in RDR.

Because the game ruins everything you loved about the first game. Although I will not spoil the plot for those that stillI didn't want to be one of those people, but reviews are being removed on her to make the user score go up. Although I will not spoil the plot for those that still wish to play it, I invite you to check out the spoilers and not pay $60 to a company that actively hates it's fan base and cannot write a good story. There was so much potential here, but they seem to be more interested in making the fans hate the characters in the first game and using heavy handed manipulation tactics to do so. The first game was so well written, but this game uses every cheap trick in the book to get it's message across. And no matter what anyone tells you, almost no one is upset by the use of LGBT characters, Ellie's DLC for the first game is where we found out she was gay and everyone still loved her, and everyone still loves her. Abby is only hated because she's a flat character with no personality and commits one of the most disgusting acts of cowardly violence in video game history and they expect you to empathize with her because "she's human" Everyone is human, I think Naughty Dog doesn't give their fan base enough credit for their intelligence. I find it hard to believe any of the critical reviewers who called this a 10/10 didn't receive some sort of compensation for their scores. Truly disgusting and horribly written story. Do not purchase if you enjoyed the first game. Changed the score to 3 because Metacritic wouldn't allow me to give it a 1, but trust me it's a 1.… Expand

    I tried to give it a chance. Loved the first game, but this just fails to live up to that game. It’s not bad as a 0, but the perfect war scores given by game websites is crazy.

    TLOU2 break my heart, years waiting for this game to have this kind of disappointment. such a poor story after all these years. is Painful to think that Naughty Dog having so many years to think the best way to bring te part 2. to came up with this

    absolute garbage of a game, HOW could they destroy a game like TLOU? They ruined everything, from being a joy and pleasure to play it in tlou 1 , now it s boring chores and repetitive tasks in tlou 2 but the MOST DISGUSTING part is the pushing of pc, sjw and all agendas in this game..Just make sure that trash VP Neil Druckmann never works again in the gaming industry game, industry.

    What was the message? What was the point? There is no feeling or emotion evoked by this game that even approximates what it was like to play the first one.     While there’s some beautiful animation and environments, the story is just incredibly incoherent and poorly written. Every beat is so heavy handed and there’s a huge portion of the game that barely ties in with the main narrative. On top of that the gameplay is in exciting as you spend 95% of the time walking everywhere.

    A copy and paste game. The mechanics are the same as previous title. Only difference is the location and the characters. Story wise, it is a terrible script.
    Character design, developers shouldn’t let Anita influence the type of design on a character as per example: Abby. Not a good design.
    Also, I pity the animator who have to animate that explicit scene. I wish it was deleted from my memory.

    I’m a big fan of TLOU Pt1, so I had high expectations for the follow up, which probably made my disappointment all the harder. The first game was all about learning to trust and gaining hope in a world that seemingly forgot what hope is. In the first game all the main characters, despite being opposite, were both likeable and relatable. From the hurt and weary Joel, to the full of hope Ellie.

    However, the makers of this game have decided that their mission is to “subvert expectations”. This wasn’t done subtly or intelligently, instead they seem to have gone to great pains to throw out everything good from the first game, and replaced it with some of the vilest characters ever, even if they wore the same name and faces. Honestly, Ellie would have made one of the biggest villains in any other game.

    And that’s not the worst part. The worst part is the game is boring. It appears somebody at the game studio decided graphic violence would add shock value and be “edgy”. Unfortunately the makers decided that if a little shocking violence was good, then repeating it every couple minutes must be better? To the point that it fast became totally meaningless, and then extremely boring. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t mind violence in video games, I’m also a big fan of the Doom series, but it is completely out of place here. In fact, thinking about it, Doom has a far better story than this dross.

    I’ve heard the game studio was trying to make people think about the morality of hate and violence, but it failed on two counts. Firstly the player has very little agency in this game, you have to do the violent / cruel things, or the game won’t let you progress, which separates the player from the consequence of the action. Secondly the game is so boring you could have hit me over the head with the message wrapped in a 2x4, but after the first hour I was so disengaged with the game I wouldn’t have noticed.

    I forced myself to make it to the end of the game (and I mean forced), in the hopes that it would get better. It never did.    … Expand

    I love how this game makes you question your own actions, and makes you actually feel "hate" towards what the game makes you do. The storyline might be controversial but I loved it nevertheless. Definitely doesn't deserve all the hate it currently gets. For me money well spend!

    Sorry to all Sony's fanboys, im a playstation player but this game is trash . Nothing new, story is 0, boring game like if im watching a bad Netflix movie... Graphics are ok tho on ps4pro . Too much violence. Lesbian kiss was unnecessary. Maybe its time to move on and make diferent kind of game. I got bored by all the Sony's exclusive looking like bad movies honestly.

    However, the story is is lacking big time. Unfortunately, Naughty Dog were too busy packing the gaming with political messages that they forgot write a compelling story that made any sense. It was like watching a 30hr long political and social justice campaign commercial.... terrible game. I'd give this a 3 but Metacritic is blocking all reviews under 4 from going up.    … Expand

    The game have a funny gameplay, the graphics are good and the soundtrack its weet.
    But the Story its so bad...i mean, they don respect the characters we knew in 2013, the entire game "story" was for nothing, the game have...scenes...well, really horribles and stranges... i recommend to play it, but dont deserves 10/10 really disappointing :/

Joel saves abby, joel tells strangers his name then dies by them. You search for a character(Abby) to kill but end up getting your ass beat. Ellie gets warned to not let Abby see her. Get forced fed sjw transgender stuff about a girl wanting to be a boy but her people didn't like it and weren't treating her right. You (Ellie ) find Abby and damn near drown her only to let her live. Come to an empty home not able to play the guitar well with the missing fingers. Ellie then leaves the house. Can a third game feel more forced?… Expand

Did you want the same game as part 1? but it doesn't make sense, why squeeze the last juice out of the characters? Joel is old, his story is over and ended LOGICALLY in the fact that after his death should remain a sense of resentment, because he is a good man but he did terrible things, for which he paid. I did not like only the model of the character Abby and all, the cons are over… Expand

    The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.
