The story is my opinion is not very good, many characters that you are supposed to like that you can't, there are too many plot holes in the story. When it came towards Abby, I had fun with her combat but other than that I didn't like her, the game is trying it's hardest too make you like Abby but it didn't work for me. Ellie became somewhat unlikeable, she makes so many choices that made me think why. Finally, many new characters are dull and the characters that are greatly written are barley given anything. Expand

I want to get one thing out of the way that really upset me, and that is the false advertising and marketing that this game has: some of the trailers give out a completely different idea of what to expect from the final product, and that includes showing scenes that are not present anywhere in the game, this is a huge disrespect for your consumers as you are tricking them into spending money for something that doesn't exist, I get what they were trying to do as a marketing strategy, playing with our emotions even before the game is released but there is a line that you do not cross, and that is showing us false material, this is the top reason why I was so let down with Naughty Dog and the overall package. That being said, I enjoyed the story for the most part, it made me cry more than once and I felt really compelled to see it through to the end, however there are some issues regarding pacing, plot holes and inconsistent character motivations that do not match with what was already established in the first game, I cant convince myself that these are small problems because they took me away from the experience, specially when I remember how magical the first entry was storywise.
i've been around since the PS1 days and can honestly say that gameplay, graphics, animations, presentation and sound design are hands down the best ive seen so far in any video game, I often found myself in various moments just stopping the journey to appreciate the attention to detail of the enviourments, or replaying cutscenes to see the facial expressions and body language of the characters, really a remarkable achievment from a technical standpoint.
To sumarize, this is a great game on its own merits, with a very unique, different and interesting way of telling a tale of right and wrong, how perspective alone can make you sympathize with a character dispite his/her actions. But, as a sequel to one of the best games of all time, it delivers an experience that is nowhere near as good as the first one. In the end of the day, I would recommend buying and investing 30 hours into it. Hope this was helpful.

If it was a stand alone game, it would have been possibly a 10/10 and maybe more people would have loved it. However, since it's a sequel...wasn't as good as it should have been. Shame. 6/10 for me.

Game is very beautiful, gives you much different emotions. I would give it 10, but some things in scenario and characters I did not like, pretty much. I will not buy next game from Naughty Dog until I see good reviews from players. It is pretty risky after this game. Before that I thought they create great games for PS, Uncharted 2 is my favorite from them.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I absolutely loved The Last of Us. I think it's one of my favorite games. The Last of Us Part II however is something different entirely.

At first I thought, "Why are so many people complaining about this game, it's great!", and it was, for the first hours. Then it kept going, and going, almost without purpose. Then when I thought I was going to see a climactic ending where maybe Abby was going to explain the reasons why she did what she did. Maybe, just maybe even do a little gameplay part with Abby. That little gameplay-part with Abby lasted another 12 hours. 12 hours of the game seemingly wanting to do little else than to show that Abby is a person too and that she's not all that bad and that she does have reasons for travelling the entire country to murder Joel.

I mean, in the end, it did kind of work. I liked Abby at the end more than in the beginning, but did it have to last THAT long? The story with Abby is interesting and such but there just seemingly wasn't any goal. The goal was only to get to place A, then get to place B, then to place C and so forth.
I don't get what Abby's drive was, I don't get why Abby suddenly doesn't mind turning against her own people AND not minding to kill anyone that the game so desperately tried to tell you she liked and cared for so much, in the beginning for two people she just met. Suddenly she cares so much for those people even though it puts her and her friends in danger. In the first The Last of Us it was so logical since Joel didn't have anyone else and since Ellie reminded him so much about his daughter but with Abby, why did she care so much about Lev?

To be honest, I wouldn't really mind that much if only it looked like the game was trying to tell something and not just look like it was making up a story on the spot. Basically, what I'm trying to say is that the game just seems way to long for as little as it ends up saying. The first The Last of Us I played through 4 or 5 times, it's also easy to play all over since it isn't that long, about half as long as The Last of Us Part II. And that always seemed worth it, for the experience, for the story, for the characters, kind of like re-watching a movie if you, like me, happen to also like doing. That's just not as inviting as The Last of Us Part II because of the length and the little story it has in those 26 or so hours I first put into it.

Then, obviously there's also a lot good about the game. The gameplay has improved tremendously. I like the weapons in Part II way more than in the first one. I also loved upgrading and that you have to get creative and adapt to what's happening, more so than the first one. Part II has more interesting environments, I think, and also lots more and different kinds of enemies, humans and infected alike. Like the Stalkers, which I'm sure everyone hates, not even necessarily in a bad way. Say what you want but the fact that there are so many different kinds of enemies, each requiring a different approach, makes it interesting. Especially when the game puts different kinds of infected, or even humans and infected, together.

The game looks amazing too! Even better than The Last of Us. Environments are more lush and often times more vast than The Last of Us. Naughty Dog also clearly tried to make The Last of Us Part II's environments at least, much less linear. Part II feels much more real because of the overgrowing plants everywhere and that the path you should take isn't always as obvious as The Last of Us. Further, nothing can compare to the sunny Santa Barbara at the end when you've been playing in dark, grey alleyways for a long time before that. Or The Farm before Santa Barbara, which was also a nice change of scenery, and pace too.

Without judging the ending, which in the end, I did kind of like. I would much rather play The Last of Us Part III with only a single character, Ellie preferably of course. And a The Last of Us III we will get guessing by how indefinite, and somewhat disheartening Ellie's ending was. I might even call it cruel how Naughty Dog left Ellie after getting us to like her so much after two games.

That leaves us with my score, 6/10. Maybe the game deserves even slightly more, so make that a seven if you wish. But it doesn't deserve any less. Even though I don't always agree to how the story was tackled and the messages it's trying to send, the gameplay and aesthetics of The Last of Us Part II make up for much of it. Definitely since I would still recommend everyone to try the game for themselves.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. So, this game, this is a hard thing to critique, unlike another persons, I wont insult anyone in here. I will critique 3 important things I consider important for this game, soudntrack, gameplay and story-telling. So, soundtrack, this soundtrack was not as good as the first game's. We could not really feel Santaolalla a lot in this one, not even in the main menu, only in the ending credits, so the music was not that of a thing, 6/10 in soundtrack. Now gameplay, the same thing as in the first game (which I really liked), it was a really good mix : how you manage the weapons, the things you could do, really nice, and as I already explained this gameplay in the first game critique, I wont do it here, 8.5/10 on gameplay. And now, story-telling, so, first thing, Joel's death. It doesn't bother me the fact that they've killed him, what really bothers me is HOW they killed him. In the first game we saw that he didn't trust anyone, he almost didn't trust in Bill, his friend. But now he says his name, he says where he lives blah blah blah. Now, lets think, Abby's father gets shot, just ONE shot and Joel didn't even knew he was Abby's father or anything, and how does he have to pay for that? Nothing, only a lot of hits in the skull with a golf club, great. Then, the thing about Yara, that mission when we have to look for medicines for her, that was one hour totally lost since she ends up dying, so....you know, that part was just so the game could cost 60 dollars. Then the ending, you can say that the lesson of "Revenge is not good" was ok, but, this was not the game to include that, this game was about to make a cure to the Cordyceps, and now, nobody cares about the cure. If somehow the Lord gave me a second chance a that moment, I would prevent this game from being real. Thats all I can say, 61/100 Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Ok. So. My biggest complaint. This game had clunky movements and it’s open world/linear mix didn’t mesh well for me. I expected more for a late generation game. Particularly one that is a sequel to such an amazing game from an earlier console. The next issue I had was that I went through 3 days as Ellie and then the same 3 days as Abby. I would have appreciated jumping between the two through each day, so when I got to day 3 I was finished. I felt like it broke up the narrative a bit too much. Lastly. I really did hate they killed Joel. I felt like they could have found a better way to do the revenge story. Like have everyone in Jackson get killed except Joel and Ellie. Then Joel and Ellie go on a vindictive journey. It could have brought out all the same points, but Joel wouldn’t be dead. I mainly didn’t like this because Joel made the first game. I didn’t enjoy playing as Ellie in the first game. I didn’t even care much for her character. I cared for her even less in this one. I also really didn’t appreciate playing as Abby. It was ok. Just not the most fun. She did some terrible things and was a terrible person. All I wanted was for her to die in the end. Lastly, the game play wasn’t different enough from the first one to keep me engaged. Now. Admittedly all these issues, except for the first one, are all minor. I just think that with my expectations, and all the minor annoyances I found in the game, that I just struggled to appreciate the game in the same level as some of the critics. All in all not the best game to close out a console generation. Ghost of Tsushima is better as a whole. Albeit not necessarily in every way. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I've decided to play the game well after its release, far away from the early reviews. As many others, I've unfortunately seen the leaks and I wanted to give the game a try anyway. Just to clarify, I am a huge fan of Last of Us, I'm a veteran gamer and I was overwhelmed by how much emotion I had to deal with while playing it.

Let's start with the pros: it's truly magnificent, period. Incredible lighting, attention to details, facial expressions, weapon upgrade animations, level design, well anything Naughty Dog is famous for. The numerous accessibility features must not be overlooked: for a lot of people, this is life-changing. I also like some touching aspects, like Ellie and Dina interacting with the baby, you don't see that very often in a game and it's the positive aspect of Naughty Dog wanting to be more 'inclusive'.

Now, the cons: everything that made Last of Us unforgettable, namely Joel-Ellie relation, character development and charisma, general pacing, the 'hope-and-beauty-vs-danger-violence' duality are completely absent. Joel's death is very poorly executed (no pun intended) and false advertising by Naughty Dog is simply unacceptable. Side characters are uninteresting, you really don't care for their demise/death, be Abby's or Ellie's side. Remember Tess who dies after 2 hours? Of course you do, it hit hard. Remember Bill? Of course, so well written. Remember Sam and Henry? Of course you do.

Now, Abby. You simply cannot like her, despite the pathetic multiple attempts (the dog scene, fear of height, hospital flashback, etc.). She will go down in History for the worst sex scene EVER, that's a feat, I'll concede it. Lev, Yara who cares? Nobody. Manny? Shot in the head and everybody screams YEAH. The only time I felt something aching was Owen and Mel's death scene.

Ellie...well, her rage-filled slaughter fest is un-Ellie, especially when she kills someone for nothing (Rattler). The only interesting character is Tommy, thank God.

To wrap this review up, it seems, judging by what we know about Druckmann, that killing the father figure, straight White male was not story-driven...let's feature a very muscular woman, a trans kid AND a lesbian couple raising a child as leads instead! I've nothing against LGBT, really, but it's simply too much to be credible. Nobody asks for a macho White dude killing everyone at will. A little balance would have been a little bit more enjoyable.

It's a huge disappointment, but the game itself is still a good game and doesn't deserve neither a 0, nor a 10.

I have mixed feelings about this game, the graphics are stunning and the gameplay is great however the story could've been written a lot better than what was put out, literally a slap in the face to the beloved characters of the first game and the fans. However this story had some amazing moments when it came to the Ellie's flashbacks with Joel, and listening to Ellie play the guitar. The game felt very realistic while in combat which was amazing... but the time i spent playing as Abby felt so dragged out i kept taking constant breaks, it seems like the game tries to make us all like Abby but for most of us that was never the case. Also part of this game just felt like nothing but a message, please keep politics out of video games and let people enjoy themselves. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I refrained from judging until I made it to the end of the game and now I actually understand why this game is so low-rated by the players. To begin with: the story itself turned out so shallow, despite the deep drama and emotions of the characters. I actually feel a little waste of time by playing a game of blind revenge without any high cause. Eye for an eye is what it's all about. Frustrated about wasted lives, all the losses that character had to face in the name of... revenge. Comparing to pt.1, pt.2 feels and looks so immature. Oh well and last but not least: the agenda, that what actually makes you feel homophobic. You are fed with gay stories all the way, and when the storyline told about the Scar boy/girl (I couldn't tell in the end) with self-identification issues It look ridiculously squeezed into the hard post-apocalyptic world. When I completed the story of pt.1 I hoped that there would be no sequel that would ruin the feel of delight. And then pt.2 happened. Game mechanics are pretty much the same, detail level is impressive as before, Naughty Dog raised the level once again, the difficulty happens to be easier than pt.1, but pt.2 compensates being literally crowded with enemies. This is my first review and I really wanted to explain why this game was given all the cold. Try it for yourself. Expand

As you can see, I generally disliked the story and plot, I believe the game drags a lot, especially in the Abby sections they go in for way too long. It was incredibly frustrating to have to play as Abby for that long and when you’re finally done you have to beat up Ellie the person you’re supposed to be playing as, I feel like Naughtydog wants us to sympathize with Abby and almost in a way says that we’re the bad guys. This is a revenge story, revenge already!

At the same time though I loved the exploration, the more open ended level design worked wonderfully, the level of painstaking detail in this game is absolutely staggering. This is the most detailed game I’ve played to date and that part of the game shines the brightest in my eyes. In During gameplay I was fully immersed, only to be taken out of the immersion by the story. The storytelling through things the player finds in the game world is far superior to the actual story of the game and I don’t believe that’s a good thing. In conclusion, if you’re gonna play this game for the story, don’t, it retroactively makes the story of the first game worse and is not worth purchasing the game for in the slightest. But if you’re someone who can look past the story, and you play games more for the fun of it, I do in fact recommend this game.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Let me start off by saying that I, like many here was a huge fan of the first game. I have been looking forward to this game for years and avoided any spoilers that came out. With that said, The Last of Us Part 2 is a beautiful looking game, the graphics, environments, and fight sections are extremely well done. The Flashbacks with Ellie and Joel were great, especially the museum sequence. The voice acting is also great for the most part. HOWEVER, this games biggest downfall is it’s pacing, the story absolutely fails to make you sympathize with Abby after she murders Joel. Which in its own right doesn’t even make much sense with how it happens, but I digress. The fact that the game constantly pulls you out of climax moments for flashbacks just completely takes away from the pacing of the story. By the time I played Abbys half of the story and was seeing her flashbacks with the WLF and Owen and Mel, I found myself really disconnected because I had already killed them as Ellie several hours before. It would have made more sense to me to play as Abby first, or at least play as Ellie for a day and then Abby. I completely understand why Abby killed Joel, was it justified? In this world I’d say yeah probably, Joel killed plenty of people for less, however if you’re going to do that and then make me play as his killer you’ve got to set it up in a better way than was shown here. The supporting characters were all fine, none of them really seemed to be given much time to shine though, I did really like Jesse and Dina and even Owen, but again, really hard to connect with him when I knew he was already dead. Lev and Yara were also fine, but not given a ton to do, you go on a fetch quest to save Yara that took an hour only for her to die almost immediately after so that was fun. I also think the ending was way too drawn out, I’m not even upset Ellie didn’t kill Abby in the end, although I think it probably would’ve made more sense. But introducing a whole new faction at the end of the game and fighting through hordes of them just to save Abby to fight her, when for all Ellie knows she’s already dead just didn’t make much sense to me. Anyway in conclusion, I don’t think this is the worst game ever made, not at all, this game does some things so right, but the pacing of the story make it such a slog to play at times. In the end I probably won’t replay this one, but if you catch a good sale it’s worth checking out at least for the gameplay. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. It's not just "review bombing". The game has serious narrative and pacing problems. Druckman took a huge swing with this game, and while I admire the tenacity, I really just don't think it worked. Having to play the second half of the game as a character you've been made to hate, while already knowing exactly what happens, I found to be extremely arduous. One can't ignore the masterful graphics, sound design, and even gameplay mechanics, but the story is a huge stinker that almost seems spiteful towards the user. TLOU 1 had a perfect bittersweet ending... But this ending is all bitter with no sweet to the point where the entire journey just feels pointless and hopeless. For the average player, I'd reccomend passing.. Play Uncharted 4 or TLOU 1 instead, because ND just didnt live up to the hype with this one, sadly. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I played the hell out of TLOU. I bought it for PS3 and then the remaster when it came out for PS4. All told I must have played it from beginning to end at least 10 times. Like most who played TLOU, I couldn't wait for TLOU2. I watched each trailer as it was released with goosebumps and growing anticipation. The love I had for the first would certainly carry over to the second. Sure, some things had changed at Naughty Dog but the core was still there and they loved Joel and Ellie as much as any of us…right?

Let's start with Joel. I kind of thought he might die at some point, likely in a way that was heroic and meaningful (maybe stepping in front of an infected or a WLF bullet to save Ellie?), but Ellie's rampage of revenge (as highlighted in the trailers) must have been fueled by something else, right? I mean, she was joined by Joel on her quest (or at least that's what the trailers deceptively showed, a flat out lie from Naughty Dog that we all believed). I mean, ND must have had discussions about whether people would dislike the game because Joel plays such a small part and decided “Let's trick the fans into thinking he has a much bigger part! They’ll forgive us when they see how progressive the game is!” Instead the only Joel we see for the rest of the game is in flashbacks, most of which show a deteriorated relationship between he and Ellie. Joel from TLOU wasn’t perfect, but he deserved far better (as did we).

Let's move on to Abby. Abby, the faithful soldier and hero of the WLF, a bloodthirsty machine fueled entirely by the thought of taking revenge on the man who killed her father. I'm fine with Abby's motives but being forced to play as Abby for countless hours was a laughable attempt by ND to trick the player into sympathizing with Joel's murderer.

What ND wanted you to see: Aww, she lost her father. Aww, look at her play with the doggies. Aww, she and Owen used to be so happy. Aww, she's helping the Scar kids. Aww, she spared Ellie and Dina. She’s totally redeemable!

What I saw: Umm, she mercilessly tortured and killed Joel right after he literally saved her life. Umm, she just had sex with Owen who has a baby on the way. Umm, she just went Rambo on all of her friends and fellow soldiers at the WLF the second they threatened Lev's life. Umm, she was ready to slit Dina’s throat until Lev intervened. Mel was right, Abby really is a piece of ****

Now for the biggest disappointment, Ellie herself. Ellie, who swore that she would make them all pay, that she would kill every last one of them for what they did to Joel. This is the same Ellie who killed countless WLFs (including killing pregnant Mel and torturing Nora before also killing her), Scars, Rattlers and doggies to get to Abby with barely an inkling of remorse. Then in the end she has an epiphany and realizes that revenge is wrong and she just doesn’t have it in her to kill Abby (you know, the one who actually did the torturing and killing). She also left Dina and their baby alone with barely a thought to go after Abby, even though she knew Dina may not be there when she returned. She didn’t honor Joel’s memory by sparing Abby, she merely affirmed that his life and everything that led up to that moment from the time she left Jackson meant nothing. She killed all those people for nothing. Jesse died for nothing. Tommy was maimed for nothing. Dina and the baby are gone for nothing. Hell, she even lost a couple of fingers for nothing. Ellie, you are also a piece of ****

I can’t fathom why so many critics are hailing this game as a “masterpiece”. Did they actually play it? How long did they play it? Are they just rewarding Naughty Dog for being so “progressive”? I grant that the game is beautiful and most of the actual gameplay was enjoyable but in the end poor writing has left the franchise in shambles. ND will never admit that they’ve done anything wrong, and for some reason a lot of people defend them, but I can’t wait to see TLOU2 remastered flop when it hits PS5, and when the trailer for TLOU3 inevitably drops in a couple of years, I won’t pay it any attention. I’ll be back in Boston with Joel and Ellie.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I think this game would have been a lot better had the story been told in a different order. It seems most people spent the majority of Abby’s campaign with a mentally of just getting through it to get back to the confrontation we’ve been working toward the entire first half of the game. I found myself frustrated at how far Abby’s campaign strays from Ellie’s, how we were left with a cliffhanger on her end only to watch Abby go on a journey that has (basically) nothing to do with her. I think this could have been somewhat remedied had we played through Day 1 of Seattle as Ellie and then the same day over again as Abby. That way you make it to Seattle as Ellie and start your quest to find Abby, followed by the same day as Abby, knowing that Ellie will not find her that day. On Day 2, you get even closer to Abby’s whereabouts as Ellie and then play as Abby, who is on her own journey and has no idea that Ellie is even a threat. You know Ellie won’t find her, so you’re left in anticipation of Day 3, which leads up to the confrontation with Abby from Ellie’s perspective. Cut at exactly the same place and start Day 3 of Abby’s campaign, knowing it will ultimately lead her to the theatre with Ellie, but with no idea of how. The anticipation to see the conclusion of the confrontation would still be there, but the frustration would be stifled as we wouldn’t have to wait so long to get it. We also might start out Abby’s campaign with a bit less animosity had we not known she would kill Jesse on top of having already killed Joel. The storyline could have been kept exactly the same and it would have been more fun to play.

That being said, I think the game did what it set out to do. It isn’t a game you play to feel good or relax. It’s a dark story set in a dark world and leaves you with an uneasy feeling. Having played the first game as Joel and Ellie, you automatically want justice for Joel’s death and happily go along with Ellie’s plan to hunt down Abby. Even as things get darker, you still feel Ellie’s thirst for Abby’s blood and go right along with it. Then you’re put in Abby’s shoes, realizing that Joel killed her father in the first place, which changes the circumstances. This is how the cycle of violence is introduced: Joel killed Abby’s dad, so Abby killed Joel, and now Ellie is after Abby for killing Joel. You’re then taken on a journey with two kids as Abby, and although the adventure is still deadly, it is a stark constrast to Ellie’s. Ellie is out for blood while Abby is out to help these two kids who seem to be enemies to everyone. It makes you question every action you’ve performed as Ellie in the first half of the game, but it still doesn’t quite sniff out the want for revenge. Unfortunately, it is pretty obvious in the storytelling that this was the intention of the writers and it doesn’t flow as naturally as it should. The message came through loud and clear when it would have made more impact had it been more subtle.

That being said, it still worked on me. I was ready to kill Abby the entire game and when I finally got the chance - as I (as Ellie) held her below the water and slowly drowned her - I wanted to stop. Watching her struggle to get up to breathe did not make me feel any better. It made me feel worse. As much as I wanted to feel some gratification that justice for Joel had been served, this didn’t feel like justice. I think Ellie and I realized at the same time that there would never truly be any justice for Joel, no closure to mend our broken hearts. Killing Abby isn’t going to do a damn thing for Joel or for Ellie. So I was happy Ellie stopped, though I didn’t feel anything near happiness at the conclusion of the game. I was left feeling hollow and, well, uneasy. This wasn’t the game I wanted, not for these two characters I hold so dear, but it is realistic, unlike the happy ending I always imagine for Joel and Ellie.

As for the gameplay, if you enjoy the mechanics of the first game, you’ll enjoy the ones in this game as well. There are a few new mechanics, such as going prone to lay on your stomach and jumping farther distances, but most are taken directly from the first game. There are collectibles and puzzles, just like in the first game, but there’s a nice open-world area in the first part of Ellie’s campaign that you don’t get anywhere else in the series. Most combat levels have multiple ways to advance, using stealth or attack. The maps didn’t seem as linear as they were in the first game, with more locations having multiples paths to choose from to make it through.

Overall, I gave this game a 6 because I think it’s a great game in a lot of ways, but the timing of the storytelling - particularly the hours-long stretch of having to play through Abby’s campaign before reaching the conclusion of her and Ellie’s confrontation - caused me so much frustration that I couldn’t enjoy it for a few hours.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I finished the game in 40+ hours first-run and mostly on Hard mode. My review includes SPOILERS.

I arrived at the score based on the following point deductions: -0.5 for glitches and enemies seeing thru barriers for hiding, -0.5 for over-emphasis on the sexual themes and messages, -3 for story.

I don't need to talk about the glitches and the over-emphasis on sexual themes. For me, these together caused a deduction of 1 point in total so it's not a big issue.

IMO the story was quite annoying because it put me in the driver's seat as a player rather than as a viewer. Perhaps it would have worked better if I was watching a movie or show instead? RE story I say the following:

First, it was very distasteful for me to have to use Abby after witnessing her kill Joel. Imagine someone spit some phlegm in your face and you try desperately to get it off asap, but you can't, and it becomes a slow and painful test of endurance. That's how I felt and I didn't like it. You are trapped using Abby for maybe 40% of the game. When it first hits you, you wonder when you are done with her so you can get back to Elly. I am a thorough gamer and I want to explore every nook and cranny. I mentioned my hours of play right away and you can see that I took like 3 times longer than the average gamer to finish. I suffered and endured the Abby scenario lol.

Second, Abby spared Elly twice and spared Dina and her baby. Elly killed Abby's pregnant friend. Let's say the dads were a trade-off (considering Joel a dad). The only reason why Dina and her baby survived was because Abby spared them at the behest of Elly. Why would Elly still pursue Abby after that? I thought majority wouldn't, but perhaps I'm wrong. It also turned Elly into a bloodthirsty monster. It was difficult for me to accept.

Third, this is the first game where I had a tremendously difficult time pressing the square button because of the story. This happened at the two Elly vs Abby sequences. I had so many openings to strike with the square button and I just didn't want to press it. This is what I meant about better to watch this story than to play the story. When I was Abby, I really didn't want to hurt Elly. The same applied vice versa. It was a driver's seat that I didn't want to be in.

Final thoughts... I gave the game a full chance. I headed in not knowing the spoilers. I reluctantly endured the Abby scenario. For those that found Abby fun to play the entire time, kudos. I'll admit I developed a soft spot for her at the end, but it took a lot of endurance. If I had known this before I started, I wouldn't play the game unfortunately. I'm sitting on the fence 50/50 on whether I would play LOU3.

When i was playing this game my fillings was like im playing well made remaster of the first part. So there is literally nothing new, i mean fundamentally new mechanics. The second minus about the plot. When i was playing the first part i was filling the synergy between myself and the character im playing for. In this part i cannot do this. Even trying to force myself. Maybe if Naughty Dog wouldn't concentrate on things which are not deserve it, so plot could be much better. This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I’d give it a 6. A solid 6.

After finishing this game yesterday. I have very split feelings towards this game. Personally I was expecting more parts about Joel , Ellie even Dina. Abby’s story is forced and pretentious. Nevertheless, I enjoyed the gameplay and the environment design. My heart is broken with the ending. As I played guitar for many years I could imagine and feel the pain of losing the fingers ( I hate this plot) , and I also hate how they picture everyone in this game so pathetic. In the TLOU 1, as least there were some hopes and brightness. TLOU 2 is pure dark and sadness. I couldn’t sleep well after this game. Ellie’s ptsd trauma haunts me as well :(

As a movie , the cutscenes , the flashbacks (especially Joel’s part) moved me quite a lot. I appreciate the emotional thrill brought by this game. Never had any game given me this feeling. As a game , there are moments make me don’t wanna play, I suffer more than I enjoy. Not sure if it’s a good game supposed to be. If you wanna stay mentally healthy and positive. probably this is not the cup of tea.

The gameplay is fun enough, and while it has a few new additions, nothing is fundamentally different from the first installment. Not really a whole lot to say other than that; unfortunately, the new enemies, like shamblers, don't present a huge challenge. Wish there were more dog sequences, rat king fight was kinda cool looking but boiled down to "shoot the bullet sponge till he dies." Some combat and exploration sequences felt a bit too long and drawn out with the more open environments, especially with little to no real dialogue.

The game's presentation is incredible. They push the PS4 hardware to the absolute limit, and give the 9th gen console a hefty load. The textures look incredible, the motion capture is well done, the facial movements, especially during combat, are visceral, and the violence looks absolutely brutal and disgusting. It was a great improvement upon the visuals of the first game. Settings look incredible, and you can tell how many man hours went into making this game look like a cinematic masterpiece.

The soundtrack from Santaolalla was fairly good; I enjoyed the atmospheric and minimalist textures he employs in complimenting the hollowness, the utter emptiness of a post apocalyptic united states.

Accessibility options are worth noting as well, as the features covered a lot more ground that accessibility in any previous game had, with all kinds of filters for colorblindness of different kinds, visual cues, even audio cues to make the game half playable for a blind person. This should be the industry standard for accessibility.

The story, however, is where the seams come apart, and the reason I rate the game 6 (though it's really more of a 6.5) is because of the fact that it is indeed a story driven game. It's a cautionary tale that shows us that graphics and presentation really aren't everything. The story is something that reads as if it was not very well thought out. It doesn't have a satisfying structure to it, and is full of conveniences, contrivances, and gaffes that break the immersion. Of course, the first game had its story foibles as well, especially with respect to how modern medicine works, but I'm not reviewing part 1.

To begin, the story eschews a traditional story structure. This has been done successfully in the past, but it is difficult to pull off, and it hurt the story more than it helped. Joel dies as the inciting event of the game, Ellie sets off on the warpath, and the narrative tension appropriately rises and accompanies Ellie's in game progression; she acquires new skills and weapons as she comes closer to finding Abby and kills her friends. The game reaches a climax confrontation, but then annihilates itself by cutting to black and returning to several days earlier, but now as Abby. This decision completely destroys the stakes, disincentivizes player investment, and restarts character progression, which annoyed me quite a bit, having to start the character progression over with less health, fewer skills, and only two weapons. The game gets back to the climax in a very roundabout way, introducing a medical fetch quest for relieving compartment syndrome via amputation (another medical gaffe) that I found myself not really invested in, as it had little to do with the main narrative. Yara and Lev were potentially good and interesting characters that didn't feel very well fleshed out or developed over the game's second act. The climax happens, Abby beats Ellie down, and leaves her there. That seemed like a fine place to end, but the game overstays its welcome with a coda where you play as Ellie once again, giving the game a third climax. By the end, the oddball story structure left me somewhat unsatisfied, as did the (dare I say) somewhat milquetoast ending.

Though the story structure is the game's main story weakness, several other items stand out. The opening of the game very clearly takes a moral position of Joel being "bad," and that he's receiving consequences for the hospital massacre. This seems somewhat nonsensical, given the circumstances in part 1 that left him with no alternatives, and fails to consider the fireflies as anything other than world savior do-gooders, rather than flawed and complex human beings. The game teases out this notion when Abby begins to experience regret for dragging her friends into the fray and getting them killed, but never meaningfully reconciling with the fact that, perhaps the Fireflies weren't perfect people, and were no better than Joel, or that they intended to kill him.

The story is also littered with nagging contrivances: characters get Deus Ex rescued over and over, and they make nonsensical decisions for the purpose of advancing the game's moralistic paradigm. Abby and Co, for example, spare Ellie because "uh oh, revenge is actually bad" rather than killing her to cover tracks, or Ellie deciding to free abby from the stake at the game's ending.

The story was told so wrongly and with wrong decisions that it ruined me while I was playing. By the way, I have no problem with the subject, but it is impossible to focus because the characters are too contradictory to them and at the end I said 'oh it's over'. So what happened at the end of the first game: 'We would have done the same thing, too. Because this world, which ruthlessly took our daughter from us, gives us another opportunity to save the life of a girl, and this is at all costs. So, long story short, while we are playing the game, we have to put ourselves in the place of the character in the script, while we are between the two characters. Maybe that's what is wanted, but it's never the right thing. The most important element of a sequel should not destroy what made it attractive in the previous story.

What keeps this game from being great however is the disrespectful treatment of the beloved characters of the first part: if you grew attached to them playing THE LAST OF US 1 expect to be disappointed. Expect to spend a large portion of the game playing a new, mostly unlikable character. Expect characters to be "out of character" and make illogical choices that make you scream "are you serious?!" at the screen. These aren't player choices either, you cannot influence the outcome.
TLOU II also made sure to force several SJW elements into the game but their impact is exaggerated: most people won't be triggered by a lesbian kiss or a butch looking female, but the way it was incorporated is rather pathetic: they're tokens and if I were one of the LGBT-whatever crowd, I might be offended.
TLOU II 's visuals are stunning, but its storytelling lets it down. I liked TLOU 1 much better and I would not consider TLOU II to be essential. Definitely not GOTY material.

The problem is the gameplay: There’s been absolutely zero evolution in the seven years since the original was released. TLOU at least had some fun and occasional joy. Aside from one section (in the museum) TLOU2 is a joyless monotonous slog. Frankly, even the museum section would have worked just as well if it were one long cutscene, since the only ‘gameplay’ consists of navigating between cutscenes.

So how do you grade a game where the gameplay is the worst part? Well, if you decide it’s a piece of art making a point about the brutal, repetitive, monotonous cycle of violence, then I guess you can give it a high score. Personally, I think they’d have been better off making the film they so clearly would have preferred to make.
    I gave it a 6.

I realized what they wanted or try to do, they just fail miserably. What bothers me is how the developers of this game wanted the players to feel engaged with a poorly in-depth perspective? Showing Abby's father saving a zebra is insufficient for what the story needed, even more in comparison to the story we know about Joel and Ellie, who were so well developed in the first one. Abby's father was a stupid NPC in the first one, who the **** is Jerry? where his background? His relationship with his daughter, their past, where did he come from? We know he's the surgeon of the first one and Abby's father and that's it lol. How can I relate to a story characters this way? Technically it's the best game I ever played and also the most beautiful, but that's it. They say that 70% of the team from the first game leave (including Bruce Straley) maybe this will help to understand even more why this game was disappointing. Unlike Neil Druckmann and Halley Gross, the actors did an extraordinary job, too bad that it doesn't save the mistakes. The game has received many awards, I fear that some of them "disguise" the mistakes that were made. The Last of Us part 2 is not as good as you think. Despite my criticism, I'm not a hater, I wish everyone the best of luck without exception to those who were part of this game. There is no reason for hate. After all it's just a game, even if is a very bad sequel, a wasted potential. Peace ✌️ Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The Last of Us II is a game that I wanted to enjoy, but was not able to because I feel it is just a game that tries too hard and doesn't deliver what the fans wanted. My score is an overall 6/10, average at best, because I cannot deny it is without a doubt the most graphically incredible game for its generation of gaming. But the story is what holds it back from getting a higher score.

The story falls short for me because of various reasons. The most glaring ones being that the game just re-hashes the same revenge plot three times over. It starts off with Abby and co going after Joel for revenge, which she gets. Then Ellie goes after Abby, which doesn't work out, but then after trying to essentially give up on it, she has a break down and goes after Abby again for revenge. Only, she never gets it. The game ends with what can only be seen as Ellie, I assume, forgiving Abbie, or reaching some kind of revelation that her revenge would mean nothing, so she just doesn't take it. Which is redundant as it makes the whole game utterly pointless and worthless in terms of the players effort.

Other issues are the way you're forced to play as Abby, a character who, from what I can tell, a good chunk of the player base just did not like to play as. When you're forced to play as a character you don't enjoy or like, it kills your drive to want to see the game through, and this happened with me, but I pushed on because I had paid for the game and figured I may as well get my money's worth from it as well as what trophies I could.

The worst part for me was where you were forced to play as Abby and fight against Ellie. This was not good for me because Ellie was really the only character I wound up liking throughout the game. At least a little. Even characters from the past game who return in Part II that I liked before, I didn't like in this game. Plus there's just wasted other characters. Ones who you spend so little time getting to know because they wind up dying, it makes their appearance utterly pointless, which is a shame for the effort that's gone into this game.

The example I can give is when you're playing as Abby, and she returns to a home base, one of her friends unzips a body bag and she's horrified at who it is inside. But we don't hear the name being spoken. I can only assume, we, as the player, are already supposed to know, but I couldn't remember the name. I recognised the character as one I had seen before, but if there was a name, I just couldn't remember it, showing they had an insignificant impact for who they're meant to be.

This continued on for me in the fact that all other characters I just couldn't bring myself to like or care about. And the game soon showed a clear problem with trying to push these shock factors into your face way too many times. By the time the game got to the point where the pregnant lady is accidentally killed by Ellie, I just stopped caring for the game altogether. Over all, by the time I got to the end, I felt the game ended on a stupidly empty and unnecessarily mysterious note, as well as it just dragged on for a bit too long for how little worth while story there really was. And then there was the whole big thing with a transgender character being in the game. I am all for the support and inclusion of them in anything, from video games and movies, but in The Last of Us Part II, it didn't make sense. The character of Lev is shown to be intelligent, but what I fail to understand is why, in a world where there's a fungus turning people into flesh eating infections mutants as well as murderous bandits and cannibals in the word along with crazy cults that Lev is a part of, why would they worry about being what gender they feel they are over surviving? It just didn't make any sense for me. It was a very well done character, but felt very out of place for the world of the game.

As I said, the visuals are incredible, but the gameplay is just a spit shined version of the first game. Everything is similar, just nicer with a few new additions, like being able to go prone, shooting from being prone and the ability to dodge, counter attack, attack on the move and of course, jump, climb ropes and swing on them. That's pretty much it for the gameplay. The games A.I however is rather phenomenal and impressive. The fight sections were easily the best parts for me.

I remember seeing SkillUp's pre-release review on YouTube and thinking it couldn't be as bad as he said it was, but honestly, it really was.

For a game many waited around eight years for, what we expected was not even anywhere close to what was delivered. My trust in Neil Druckman has fallen significantly, and any excitement for future Naughty Dog games is now gone.

It's worth one play through for the combat, visuals and trophies, but after that, it's not worth a lot at all. I feel it wasn't even worth the £40 I paid for it.

A nice game, but falls short where it counts. The story. Again, 6/10. Average.

    - Una trama pretenciosa a mas no poder.
    - Un ritmo exagerado, pudo haberse resumido mucho mas.
    - Completamente repetitivo.

Here, the story was poisoned by poor character development and hidden agendas regarding sexual identity, with obvious emphasis on the latter throughout the game. Some people might like it, but I certainly did not.. I have been impatiently waiting for the release of this game since the release of the original one a few years ago, which was an absolute masterpiece. But when I finally played it, I wish I simply didn’t. The purpose of gaming is to take the mind to a happy place to de-stress and be entertained. And just like any other gamer, I played this game to be entertained. However, I constantly found myself confronted by ethical dilemmas and uncomfortable feelings knowing that I am being fed someone’s ideas in the context of entertainment.. Disappointing.

To put it into perspective what i mean by that, if TLOU 1 did not exist, this games story would be great not excellent but great, its a sequel and its not treated as such character development wise and even in a more "macro" point of view it just does not feel natural to me the way it progresses. Their message is clear, Payback is bad, because we say so and we are gonna try in every way possible to make you agree with us, witch makes it feel forced, and for many they failed at that as well. Basically it is a right vs wrong story written by some hot-headed teens that think they're always right. Other than that it was fun to play through but at times, especially at around the mid section i quit the game for some time, reason being you are made to do whatever you already did for 16 hours, for another 12ish? hours gameplaywise , from a prospective of the game that to this day even after all their tryhard to make me care with some stupid manipulation i still don't give a single f about..... and only to get back and rush this part hoping the ending would redeem it, but nope.... Is it wierd if you aske me yes its worth the playthrough would i buy it again ? no, does that make sense ?

The most controversial part of the game is its story, in my opinion its nothing to special, it has extremely beautiful moments like when Joel and Ellie are in the museum, but It also has many faults. I really enjoyed the first game. It was a 10/10 game.

Unfortunately, this cannot be said for the second game as with these types of games being heavily winning or losing based on the story, ultimately in my opinion the story here is inferior to the first.

The first game had an engaging story and characters who you learn more about as the game progresses and ultimately leaves you wanting to experience more with those characters.

The fundamental problem with this second game is they have decided to drastically change some of the aspects of the characters from the first game to a point where you really have to work hard to believe some of the decisions and word exchanges that occur between these characters. Specifically the dialogue between Ellie and Joel seem very contrived in order to force more conflict than should be required. Due to this and the overall depressive tone for the new/old characters you don't feel as engaged or interested with this story, there are highlights for new/old characters however its nowhere near as effective as it was with the first game.

There is then a hard attempt to introduce new characters which again I don't have too much problem with as new characters can be a great addition to games, however in this instance it comes across that they are trying too hard to ensure you "LIKE" the new characters and they will do anything to ensure you "LIKE" them more than the previous characters. it even translates to the gameplay of the new character in which they give you more upgrade paths and better weapons.

The overall story is quite ambitious and I believe it could have been potentially fantastic, however it fails due to some of the pacing and also the narrative timeline that they choose to go with. Due to the ordering of the story it ruins any attempt that they want to instil in you, to "LIKE" the new characters.

Also without any spoilers I felt the ending was very unsatisfying and did not really bring any closure that it could have done.

There are some positives, the graphics and music are outstanding. The gameplay is good as well, however, I feel like they could have done some more improvements/innovation since the first game. There is a small semi-open world section which I feel if they had done more with could have made it a little more interesting.

All in all, it's definitely disappointing when compared with the journey of the first game. Will be interesting to see what happens in the next game.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The Last Of Us Part II isn't really concerned with the idea of combat, though its admittedly great-lasered-down gameplay would make you believe otherwise. It mostly decides to wrestle against a multitude of heavy, capital-I Important topics instead, drowning its already submerged dead weight of self-seriousness with one of the bleakest, most uncompromising plot structures I've seen for a blockbuster PS4 game. Mostly, I found it hard to watch, with the inherent revenge thread being one-upped by frequent pulpy lashings of blood among the many encounters along the way in an ill-fated attempt at discouraging revenge, but I also was slapped senseless by the silliness of it all, and whether this even works as effective allegory.

it's a shame to watch as all of the ambition and technical beauty on display here goes wildly underserved by its moral simplicity. Why is this as thorny as your typical Oscar drama? Remember at the end of the previous game when Joel set a dangerous precedent by lying to his surrogate daughter Ellie to her face? Where's that? Well, mostly sideline in favor of the least interesting plotline. There are only so many slow, agonizing Important, dramatic moments about family, revenge, and death you can take before they all start to blur, and unfortunately, this has very little to offer beyond them. So unbelievably gorgeous tho.

As a follow-up to the magnificent Last of Us 1 it forgets most of the character-building done in its predecessor and throws coherence out the window.

The primary issue with this game is that the story makes little sense in the setting of a continuation story when it forgets wat the foundation was. Had this been a spin-off instead i believe it would have fared much better in my personal opinion. Naysayers will likely mark this as blasphemy and state it is a perfect masterpiece. And I would agree if it had been a standalone game. However it is not and it therefore lacks proper coherence.

That said, the game as it stands is fun. Don't get me wrong, the game has massive story issues. However, it is a fun play regardless which so some degree overcomes the story issues. The technical side is in large parts gamer perfection. Just not the narrative side of it The forced brutality will at times seem superfluous and shows the sloppy job with the story rather well.

If you are able to get past the story issues the game is rather good. Most likely you will be getting quite a bit of fun out of the game. Just do not expect the story-telling marvel that the first game was as this one falls way short of that accomplishment.

Uncharted introduced me to Naughty Dog, and let me tell you, when I played the Drake saga, his legacy, his final adventure, I teared up. It still stands as the best story based Games ever. My point is really simple to interpret, Naughty Dog has always been about the story, I never cared about the graphics or the upgrades. Now if someone asked me if Last of Us 2 was worth their time, honestly, I would say, play it, but don't get emotionally attached. Kill the zombies, skip the cutscenes (if that option is available, god please). The story wasn't what I expected it to be and I was utterly disappointed with a certain choice that Naughty Dog made. When you sacrifice a hero, You do it honorably, you send him off like a badass (not just bash him with clubs and trigger the audience).
When I play a game, I wanna be happy, I want to be emotionally connected to the characters. With this game, I just feel empty. I have been a fan of Naughty Dog since Uncharted and Crash and I always will be. I didn't like the game story-wise, but it was still a good game, not a masterpiece like these so called "game journalists" preach. You want my honest opinion, play it once. The game's replayability, to me, is nil due to my issues with the story.
I hope Naughty Dog really understands fans like me, cuz we are not saying it to make them feel bad, we just want another good game like Last of Us 1 and Uncharted. They experimented, that's good, move on now.
PS : People who believe this game deserved GOTY, are just lying to themselves. Animal crossings literally blew everyone away and deserved GOTY, no hate Naughty Dog, but they literally deserved it.

The plot itself is not bad, interesting twists, different moments. Nice graphics with beautiful locations. But the characters and dialogues leave much to be desired. All of them, as for me, are quite the same type and boring.

But the story really was a downgrade from the first game. I honestly don't even know how they came up with the story for this. I mean the main character is literally killed off within the first 2 hours of the game. And we're then forced to play as his killer named Abby. Then the game tries to make us feel bad for Abby because Joel apparently killed her dad (which was a useless npc that had no relevance to the story) in the last game. I have absolutley no idea why they chose to give some useless npc a whole backstory. Abby killed I don't know how many people in this game. So in the last of us 3 is some random npc going to kill lev? And then will we spend the whole game trying to go kill them? I mean the whole plot of this game is getting revenge. But then when Ellie finally has the chance to get her revenge, she decides it not worth it. Why did she decide that it wasn't worth it then? Why did it take her so long? I mean Ellie literally killed all of Abby's friends to get to her. She basically killed everyone that Abby loved. And then when she finally has her hands around her neck she decides that it isn't worth it? I mean ellie killed i don't know how many people to get to her. She even kills DOGS and a PREGNANT WOMAN. To just eventually decide that it isn't worth it. Then the pacing of the game is just horrible. One second your at your "base" with Tommy and Jessie. And then the next second Jessie is getting his face blown off by Abby. I guess in the next game we'll play as Nora's little sister to go kill Ellie. Its just so not thought out. There's hundreds of npcs that we kill throughout this game. Where's their backstory? Do they have friends that's gonna come seek revenge on Ellie now? Then the section where they force you to play as Abby is entirely too long. I guess they tried to make us care about her and see things from her point of view but it just doesn't work in my opinion. Lev and his siblings backstory was pretty alright I guess. I just wish I didn't have to spend 1712833 hours playing through it. To be honest, in the next game if we're forced to play as Abby and Lev I probably wont buy the game. Sorry but I really just don't care about them at all to be honest. You cant just kill the main character that everybody loves WITHIN THE FIRST 2 HOURS. And then expect us to feel sorry for them. I also didn't like how impulsive ellie acted as well. Like when that man was being homophobic to Dina. Why did Ellie get mad at Joel for STANDING UP FOR HER. The only enjoyable part of this game was when Ellie had flashbacks about going on adventures with Joel. Overall I'm very displeased with this game and the story. But hey at least we got good GAMEPLAY and COMBAT. Don't know if ill buy the next last of us. Expand

    Amazing graphic - 10
    So so gameplay - 6
Very Bad Story - 2 (and this is my main reason why I like the first game)

I dont think I will play The Last of Us Part 3 if any after this

There are many hours of totally irrelevant storyline crammed in between the climax and the ending. And the worst sin of of all, the game shoehorns you into playing as the antagonist for 10-15 hours, in a failed effort to build sympathy for that character.

I think when it comes to The Last of Us.. They really should've stayed with only one game. It didn't need a sequel..

The plot is broiling over with plot inconsistencies/progression and troubling character development.

Overall, I'd suggest you don't pay full price.

I loved the game, but the remaining half of the game (abby) seemed so boring, the death of joel does not match his character at all, many times the "deep" parts tend to seem forced and the narrative of the game is directly bad .

Absolute disaster it just can’t be a sequel for one of the best games ever, so many agendas over story, the way this game get dispose of the most important character is just provoking and stupidily written, the ending dosen’t makes sense or may I say the whole game in terms of story, characters and dialog but the gameplay/graphics and setpieces were top-notch and all that besides the little great details gave this game the 6 rating Expand

New characters are introduced and are so unmemorable, so when they do die it elicits no sadness or grief whatsoever. Joel dying was needed for this game, but it could’ve been done so much better. Graphics are amazing and gameplay is pretty much the same with no major leaps in innovation made. Overall the game is above average, but the story holds it back so much. Expand

The definition of a mixed bag. Vastly improved gameplay and stunning graphics are marred by an uneven story with good ideas, but with awful pacing, a lackluster ending, and inconsistent writing.

The story lets the game down so much; certain actions the characters make are not believable for what had been set for them already in the first game. The graphics are great and the gameplay feels nice with the AI keeping conflicts interesting. But this does not overshadow the fact that the story leaves the player unsatisfied and wondering why they spent 20 hours even playing it.The story lets the game down so much; certain actions the characters make are not believable for what had been set for them already in the first game. This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I believe 7 is a fair score for the following reasons. I'm going to start by saying a really don't care that they put LGBTQ+ content in this game, I believe that if it doesnt compromise the story by focusing purely on that content when there is obviously more important things happening I don't care. Main things I don't like about the game is as follows: 1. I'm sorry but that was an incredibly stupid way for Joel to die, he got himself into a stupid situation and seemed to immediately trust a bunch of strangers... stop tip kids, if someone asks you to go into their basement... don't. 2. I didn't like the over dramatic relationship stuff, it just felt odd. 3. Don't ask players to play the villain who kills everyones favourite character 4. Again, lgbtq+ content is fine but abby's big muscley body just looks strange, it's like looking at a heavy steroid user. Things I do like are the beautiful graphics and great game mechanics. Expand

The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.

If you loved the original for its great characters and well-paced story – stay away from this game. However, if you’re aching to sink into the depths of depression, or just want to cut some throats and burn some zombies – Part II will deliver. [Issue#247, p.72]
