Too bad everything else is miles behind of what Naughty Dog can do. Gameplay has little to no innovation. Meaning if you replayed the 1st part to get ready for second, everything will feel familiar but that means you will grow bored that much quicker. Only 1 new type of infected (not counting the boss fight) so nothing to look forward to in the fight sections. Copy pasted human boss fight from Uncharted 4 gives away Naughty Dog's lazyness with the sequel. But i guess all of that could be forgiven in a narrative driven game....if the narrative wasn't insulting to player's inteligence. Story is absolutely terrible just as the pacing and constant jumping between timelines and flashbacks. Just as you are starting to get ''into it'' you are quickly pulled out with a flashback or a walking sequence. Not to mention the deceitful marketting. Definitely not trusting Naughty Dog again with a preorder. Can't give the game more than a 5 for beutifull graphics and detailed animations. Expand

The game isn't enjoyable due to bad story decisions. The gameplay and graphics are good but not mind blowing. The 0/10 and 10/10 reviews are both wrong... It's just an average game because of the butcher work they did to the story. The game is average, a 5/10 is right.

On paper, the Last of Us 2 has everything it needs to be an instant classic (Shame that multiplayer wasn't included). It was breathtaking graphic, slick and immersive gameplay, and a great amount of accessibly (especially when it comes to difficulty setting). However, everything great about the game from an artistic and technical level is bogged down by one of the worst narratives I've ever experienced. It is Last Jedi and Game of Thrones Season 8 levels of bad, and completely tarnished what me and so many other adored about the first game. Rather than being a continuation of Joel and Ellie's story, Joel is instead thrown the way side for a new character named Abby, who you are forced to play as for a good portion of the game. Abby is one of the most unlikable and irredeemable characters ever in a video game, and honestly deserved to die. But instead, the game forces upon you an incredibly contrived "revenge is bad" narrative that is at odds with how many players will feel while playing. The game is so bleak and depressing that I honestly had a hard time finishing, and to say that the ending was unsatisfying would be a massive understatement.
As the Fireflies would say, "when you're lost in the darkness, look for the light", but the Last of Us 2 seeks to avoid the light at all costs, and it results in an experience that I honestly wish I didn't waste my time with. If you enjoy the game, that's fine, but for me, it is a great insult to what made the original special, and should not exist.
To everyone who said that the Last of Us didn't need a sequel, you were right.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Stunning graphics can't save this game. The story is terrible and told poorly, the new characters are unlikable. Ending pointless. They had a real opportunity to make this game something special, and instead made some very strange decisions with regard to the plot and characters. It seemed like it was made in the wrong order, would love to have developed sympathy with Abby and maybe have her work with Ellie before killing the main reason people loved the first game... To give it a zero is wrong, Objectively the graphics and animation is great, the game play is ok but highly repetitive and feels like a real slog towards the end. You have to credit the developers for the sheer effort that has gone into the game and for taking a risk with the story, it just didn't pay off for me. How anyone can give this a 10 and call it a masterpiece is beyond me, its a deeply flawed title but god bless if you liked it. Picking up the game second hand for £20 or so would be a fair shout. + Different tone, the game feels different, not just like an addon

    Things I didnt like:
    - Abby. This was the perfect moment to introduce a very strong transgender character: the world is **** people are becoming crazy, so it makes perfect sense for someone to question their sexuality, beliefs and other. But she does nothing to depict the benefit of her being transsexual, or the character traits to affect the story: aside from a meaty scene and couple very flat jokes, she could have been a guy and nothing would have changed. A missed opportunity.

    - Story. Seemed out of place, rushed - the story would feel much more compelling if some events appeared earlier than the others, it feels like order was screwed. And overall, it was quite predictable.
    - Gameplay: combat still sucks ass, very slow and clunky, especially during escape sequences. I guess controller limitations, but hey... it is literally painful to aim sometimes.
    - Ending: Subverting expectations, in the worst way, the last jedi way. won't spoil, but whatever you have done in game is literally thrown in the garbage bin, since apparently it was not needed and a character does 180 emotional transformation.

Could have been better, average game.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I finished the game today (06/26) and cried a lot, not because of the story but because I waited six years for it and remembered how happy I was when I saw the trailer at E3. Well the first thing that frustrated me was the level designs. In the world of The Last of Us Naughty Dog showed us that unforeseen events happen, after all the world is in pieces, buildings fall, few resources but as a player, I felt that they happened a lot to increase the gameplay time in TLOU 2, for me this was very clear and they didn't need to extend the game like that. I would prefer to see how Joel got so different from what was shown in TLOU 1. To summarize a little, I felt that I did not know the new Joel and did not know what made him let his guard down for strangers who were close to Jackson. I agree with his death and I believe that it really gave meaning to part two, after all, he killed and destroyed several groups on his journey with Ellie, but he was not even cautious with those people he met (Abby's group) and it broke my experience. Moving forward, I felt very tired with the gameplay of the game, in many ways the gameplay from the first to the second is improved, the crawling part is very interesting and matches well with the style of the game, the player sees each object being placed in Ellie or Abby's backpack and despite being a small detail, they make the game look real. However, I spent hours going through infected, scars, and WLF without feeling the reasons to do that mainly in Abbie's gameplay, the island part of the scars was a deplorable example of that, and the part that Ellie went after Abby. Honestly, I didn't want either of them to die, despite having to make a big effort to like Abby's plot since he was depicted without emotion by the scenes and art direction. I really loved the fact that Ellie and Abby had mirrored sufferings, that would be much more interesting if the deaths of the loved ones were portrayed with impact by the writers. The Last of Us Part II has an identity crisis, tiresome gameplay for the game itself to make the player go from side to side to have more hours of gameplay. However, the plot itself is extremely dense and interesting, but for me, the way the situations were put together was confusing, with no impact when they should have and badly developed characters emotionally. The game is shocking with some minor bugs that shows up from time to time. But besides the art is beyond expectations. Kudos to everyone that worked in that aspect, my respect.

Cons: Doing a list during my play through, I decided to enumerated at the end from lesser to top cons.

    1. the level design, if is well deliver that feeling of open world after a few minutes exploring the area becomes actually very small with a lot of "exploration rooms" where you will find a forgotten note, material or a bullet. Basically all the levels are pretty linear and the game doesn't take the effort to at least dissimulate.

    2. characters: without counting for Ellie, Tommy or Joel for coming already from the first part, the rest of the characters are completely forgettable, with plain reason and actions that most of the time you will notice doesn't have sense. Introductions seems forced and the moments when they are cooperating with Ellie is just basically, you can take it off of the gameplay making a solo adventure and will not feel different.

    3. the story and dialogues, from cheesy lines that seems take it from a fan fiction forum to the whole story happening in the game. Contradiction actions to the personality of players and "forgettable" moments when the character say something to do something completely opposite 5 minutes later and the dialogues are "fine, nothing, good." The whole story is filled with holes, lame excuses and forced topics.
and 4 (and the worst in my opinion), the length of the game is 22-25 hrs plus for a game that could basically wrap everything in much much less. Unnecessary cut scenes and stealth moments that you basically going to say **** it" and cross from point A to B to trigger the next cut scene. Because is unnecessary long.

I wouldn't recommend it to buy it. If the game was in offer, I will think about it because only for the graphics, physics, art, etc is a solid 10. From the point of view of characters, dialogues, story, puzzles, etc. A solid 0

I pre-ordered it, because I had a lot of trust in the company, but that went out of the window. I enjoyed the game for some time, and even some controversial choices were fine by me, but then it all wend down hill and the disappointment overshadowed the enjoyment.
Here is the sum up of my thoughts of the game:
    1) Graphics - 5. The character models are good and the world is quite nice, but it becomes obvious that PS4 is no longer a decent hardware. After being able to play games on 60fps or more, the drop back to 30fps is really noticeable and worsens the experience.
    2) Sound - 9. Really good. Liked it a lot.
    3) Gameplay - 7. Its better than the first game, though (I know it's done to balance the game mechanics) some choices remain stupid. Like, you can carry 8 shells, not single more, but then you also can carry a brick. Also, the enemies spray you with bullets, but drop nothing. That being said, if you can ignore it, it's enjoyable. Really liked the weapon crafting, though, again, there were some irritating flaws that I can't reveal without spoilers. And the most annoying bit for me is the lack of mouse and keyboard (but it might be just me - it doesn't reflect the score).
    4) Story and characters - 3. I managed to get through to release without seeing a single spoiler and experienced the game as it was meant to, and I went away dissatisfied. It was not just because the events that took place, but also the character development, their choices, which seemed stupid, missing dialogs that I was waiting on and the list goes on. There were some gems, but even they were executed poorly. This game dwarfs against it's predecessor. The actors did their part really well, but it couldn't save the mess the writer made.
OVERALL: 5 (it's not a mathematical result, but an overall score), Can't recommend.

If I'd met myself few days earlier I would suggest skipping this game and keep on waiting for Cyberpunk 2077. Too bad I spent my hard earned cash on this game.

But this isn't one of those. It should be broken down into two categories: the story and the gameplay. I've played through it 3 times now. The first time was the full game - cutscenes included. And from start to finish the score fluctuated. But as the game went on, it just became drawn out and monotonous. When reaching certain climaxes, you revert back to what almost feels like an eternity ago. Which literally is 2 hours into the game. And it ruins the pacing of the game too much.

After playing through it initially, I wasn't sure I would be able to play it again. But luckily this game has skippable cutscenes. Which brings me to category two of how this game should be played. When you don't see the story and in a sense, it's just 1 long gameplay sequence, the pacing doesn't feel bothersome. The story that tries to force you to feel a certain way, can for the most part, be ignored if you choose the character(s) you're playing aren't part of any narrative. With that said, in the latter part of the game, I feel like the characters are boring and not as interesting as the ones you meet in the first half.. and at times, even come off as annoying. However, when you don't have to see their story entirely and can skip it, you experience a great game that is a solid 9/10, if you loved The Last of Us.

But that's unfortunately the problem. The story itself is just trying to tell you that you can't pick sides. You need to understand everything before you choose. It's like a sad attempt at begging. One half of the story is telling you this is why you're taking this journey. Then the second half tells you that this journey should not be taken. The writing is just bad and that's why a side must always be taken. Even if it isn't the right. Who knew Bungie's writing with Destiny would be better than a Naughty Dog game? At least they understand how satisfaction works in video games. After a 25 hour game that had its ups and downs, it needed a solid, fulfilling ending.. but unfortunately, it was just lifeless with no reward for your time spent. It tried to be deep, but deeply failed.

When I played the the last of us part 2 I was impressed by the gameplay overhaul, as they really did a good job in that department.
But the story on the other hand did the opposite of impressing me.
I won't get into spoilers but I will say that the themes this game try's to go over such as the cycle of violence has been done to death before hand and has been done better in other forms of media.
The dialogue in the game as well as the character writing as well is godawful.

The last of us was a solid 10/10 for me back in 2014 and it still is.
The sequel is only half as good though.

But it is relevant, it is current, and it needs to be discussed. The post-apocalyptic setting is way above what we could see in part one of the game. Entering an abandoned house, and finding traces of the people who lived there is very cool, whether in documents left behind or in objects, it is absurdly immersive and expands to the universe of the game. Those infected are even more brutal than before. Human enemies bring an even greater degree of difficulty. And we do wonder what can be worse than people in this post-apocalyptic world. Story: Not good. Overall the story set out to try something new and it simply failed. It makes you hate someone, then spends hours and hours trying to get you to like her, but the stronger your connection to the loss, the harder it is to overcome it, and for many it just failed.

The third act of the game was rushed, it felt like a DLC they decided to slap on there as a "BUT WAIT THAT'S NOT THE END". The pacing was bad, it went too fast, and by the end, you didn't really care about anyone. it's like when you get a fantastic director and cinematographer to film an absolutely horrible script. It's beautiful, but won't get you back to watch again.

Overall it was very disappointing. The engine and gameplay is a marvel to behold, the story is contrived, has unnecessary filler shoved in to either extend gameplay or to provide opportunities to have us like characters more, but it just failed at providing any compelling story.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. First of all, before some fool thinks my dislike of this game has anything to do with LBGQT, I loved the first game and thought Bill's homosexuality was done well and the Left Behind DLC was great and makes perfect sense in the context of this world that Ellie would be attracted to women instead of men.

I was really enjoying this game even though the story is mediocre but then they made me play as Abby for a second time after what she did to start the game. I have absolutely no interest in playing that character and could care less about her story after what she's done. If the devs would have put her story before the incident it would've made it much less infuriating that I have to play for an extended period of time as her even though all the marketing was designed to mislead gamers into thinking we'd be playing as Ellie and interacting with Joel often. Despite that, I was ready to give the game an 8 or 9 because I was enjoying the gameplay, but considering how difficult it's going to be to finish the game because I can't stand Abby I just can't. The gameplay is much improved from the first game. The story isn't nearly as good but the voice acting is amazing and the graphics are beautiful. I really wish they hadn't decided to put Abby's story near the end because it completely ruined the climax that had been building with Ellie's journey. Abby getting the upper hand was very cliche, the typical bad guy gets the jump on the good guy off camera scenario we really should've been able to fight Abby and have a choice on dealing with her. I don't need a 25-hour lecture on how bad revenge is, everyone knows revenge is bad and it's not a concept that leads to a lot of motivation for an entire game. This game is really Abby's journey not Ellie's as you play longer as Abby than you do as Ellie but Abby was NEVER going to be a sympathetic character after brutally beating and coldly murdering Joel. I know Manny is NOT Druckman but the resemblance cannot be denied which adds a lot of symbolism to that character spitting on Joel's corpse.
One of the most upsetting aspects of the story in this game is characters not acting like themselves. Joel was one of the most careful characters you could imagine in the first game yet surrounded by strangers he gives out his name, give me a break. The idea that 5 years in Jackson while going on patrols would make him that careless doesn't make sense. Joel didn't even fully trust Ellie until they got to Jackson in the first game and even that took Ellie running away for him to finally give in to his feelings for her.

If the marketing for this game wasn't so misleading and they had treated Joel with more respect I seriously doubt there would be this much hate for the game. It appears Druckman had the idea of Revenge as a central story and clumsily altered the characters to fit that narrative rather than allowing the characters to tell the story which is part of what made the first game's story so amazing.

One last frustrating major plot hole is that Ellie kills over a hundred WLF and Scars but in the end changes her mind and that choice is taken out of the player's hands??? In the end, they couldn't even give the player the satisfaction of eliminating the character that disrespected such a beloved protagonist.

Yes I know that was the point that Joel didn't deserve a heroes ending but at the very least he deserved to go out in character. One of the things I loved about the original was that despite living in a world that was dark and horrible there was a beauty in Joel and Ellie's relationship which was a ray of light in the darkness. This game does away with any message other than revenge destroys everyone involved and everything sux. It's easy to simply leave the characters in darkness in a world like this but took something extra in the first game to leave the player with a question after it ended, was that a good /positive ending?

-Really MESSY in terms of pacing and story direction; it jumbles in and out with flashbacks, the flashbacks are ALL OVER the place.
-Unrewarding ending, no joy and satisfaction felt after done 30+hours playing it.

    THE CONCLUSION:
-The game could be (kinda?) saved actually if Neil Druckmann made the game into THREE DIFFERENT STORY MODES rather than combining Ellie's and Abby's stories altogether in one single playthrough. So the first playthrough would be "Ellie's Story", the second playthrough would be "Abby's Story", and the final playthrough would be "Redemption", or "Conclusion".
-The game is only worth for RENTING, not buying. If you haven't play the 1st TLOU and just want to straight dive in to TLOU 2, then just RENT IT, don't buy it.
-If you collect video games, and you want to add TLOU Part 2 to your collection, be my guest, but it's cheaper to buy the SECOND HAND one. It's not worth the full price.

    Nothing like the original story.

    Terrible pacing.

Characters have way too much plot armour.

    Ending was underwhelming.

I don’t care for this series anymore and after finishing the story I will never return to this game. It is way too depressing and dragged out.

I won't go into any major spoilers but I will reflect on the plot a bit as it is the most important aspect of the game and what separates it from the first one. When it comes to game play it's pretty much the same which is a good thing. Combat is fun, violent and heavy. All of it amplified by the downright beautiful visuals and sometimes realistic animations. What's changed technically is that the crafting is a bit easier and now that Ellie can climb just about anything you have a bit more verticality in ways of dispatching your enemies. I like how the enemy AI are bit smarter now as they try to flank you and rush you more often. When they are under cover they will duck as soon as they see you point your sights at them. A nice touch is how they react to any given situation. If they see a downed partner they will react in anger or sadness by calling out their name or warning others. They will clue themselves in on your position and if your gun goes click click they will let one another know "she's out get her". Things like that and the atmosphere is dreary but very immersive. New enemy types include dogs and 2 new zombie variants one of witch is great and the other a bit too similar to another. They do add some cool boss battles and set pieces that were much needed and I won't spoil. Dogs, in my opinion, were more of an annoyance then anything else it could have been left out. What I don't like is that the game was said to have several semi open world sections where there was only one. It's not that I cared for it to have them but to give you only one section of the game like that seemed a bit odd to me. Also, as with many E3 demos, the gameplay did not look near as fluid as it did in it's demo. I thought that demo looked overly scripted and it was. Now for the story. Poorly directed, poorly written and tonally everywhere. The highly controversial plot is actually a good one that makes sense but it is told in such a messy way that it constantly took me out of it. Story progression is interrupted with flashbacks in such odd places where the tone goes from 100 to 0 in a second. Characters act in ways that don't make sense and by the end you will not care about a single one of them. The main theme is thrown out the window by the finish line. I couldn't help but think to myself how much better the story would be if it went a different way and how the directors/writers didn't see it that way. Movies are not shot in order. They shoot parts of the end, beginning and middle and then edit them to be in order. This game feels like it was shot that way but someone forgot to put them in order. It even feels like 2 games in one. I give the gameplay, visuals and sound a 5 and the story a 0. It is a game that I would only revisit for the gameplay sections and skip the cut scenes. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Extremely controversial game. A lot of misandry and tons of feminism. Story, writing, direction and characters are garbage. On a technical level it's perfect, amazing graphics, gameplay, sound design, soundtrack and cinematography. One of the most hated, controversial, spiteful and sadistic characters ever does something horrific, unforgivable, inhuman and unacceptable in the beginning and it sets the tone for this miserable and bleak journey and destination you have to go through for many hours and grind through to get to the conclusion.

Sympathizing and empathizing with a vicious ruthless murderer is not really a concern of mine neither is playing as that person for the vast majority of the game (You play like 50% as Ellie, 49,9% as Abby and 0,1% as Joel a brief horseback riding no combat or anything). Joel is widely known by real gamers and fans as one of if not the most legendary and beloved characters to have ever existed in video game form yet he gets treated like crap here.

Ellie sides with a rude, ignorant and a jackass hostile bartender in a dance (who tells Dina that she is a lesbian in a very vulgar and an attacking way) over her father figure, protector and savior Joel. Side characters feels very much like filler, I didn't care for Jesse, Yara, Lev, Manny, Owen and Mel. Dina is helpful and probably the only character who isn't completely mentally unstable. Tommy is as reckless as ever and is a lot like Ellie in this title vengeful and hateful.

Some cameos were neat and some funny minor characters hop into the plot but don't serve a lot of purpose other than cannon fodder for the so called "hero protagonists". Ellie guilt trips and berates Joel a lot in this title for no reason other to give him past trauma and making him feel low about himself. You can tell who Naughty Dog wanted you to root for and think who's a monster even if it's completely untrue, false and a lie.

Odd romances, uncomfortable and an awkward sex scene that happens in a boat after Abby tried to attack and potentially kill Owen over an argument and a disagreement they had which turns into a heated lustful banging because Owen pulled Abby's braid. No nudity shown except for Abby's and Owen's nips.

Almost feels like forced sexual abuse (maybe rape) on Abby's part, completely takes advantage of Owen and she makes him at the same time cheat on his pregnant girlfriend secretly, discreetly and be disloyal to her without Mel ever knowing. Mel discovers nothing about it when the story is finished it's never talked about. That's something only a horrible and an unlikable, terrible and an egotistical person would do. It's weird.

Similar romance happens between Dina & Ellie early in the game except they are partially clothed private areas covered and Ellie forgets to be on watch and patrol for walkers and unwelcomed strangers (like Abby's group) because of it. The intimacy is very forgetful. The writing is very confusing and doesn't make sense a lot of the time.

Shock factor plays a big role unfortunately which is most of the time lazy writing considered especially when it's been overused to the point that media shouldn't be using it as much at this point. Almost every male gets treated badly in this and is either shot, brutally murdered or used as bait courtesy of Neil Druckmann. Combat is improved from previous game, upgrading is an unique addition to your arsenal and polishing your weapons.

Cinematography is fantastic almost to no cuts in either cinematics or gameplay itself. It's very fluent. Graphics look amazing and realistic, feels like watching a live action movie it's beautifully made. Gustavo is incredible on the banjo as usual and most of the sound design is very cool and often shocks you at how good it is.

For a sequel it's massively disappointing. They changed way too many things in the narrative and the fact that they have the audacity to take out by far the best character in the first 2 hours of playing is insulting and disgusting to the fans and the players who have anticipated this sequel for years. Naughty Dog shot themselves in the foot in the worst possible fashion and kind of ruined this franchise for a lot of folks. If there's a Part III coming up I'm not terribly interested mainly because of how they treated a beloved heroic character from its predecessor.

Neil Druckmann is a beta cuck who needs to look himself into the mirror and think "What have I done?" or this series is buried deep in the ground regardless of how great Abby and Ellie are doing. It feels nonsensical, disturbing and cruel to do this to a loyal fanbase and supporters of the company.

So many questionable things about this game and a mixed bag overall. Many positives and many negatives which leaves it in a mediocre dramatic completely over the top package. If they don't remake this game properly I'm not interested in continuing in a third part. They can't just pretend nothing happened here and ignore everything.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. After playing this from start to finish, and not reviewing early like i’m certain some have, i think an average score is very fair.
The gameplay is excellent and on par with its predecessor, the graphics are impeccable, the attention to detail is on another level also. If the story was on par with the original then this would easily be one of the greatest games ever made, unfortunately that is not the case. The big shock is not what ruined the story for me, it was a wow moment an i carried on, when Dina came into play as your partner it got very confusing as i could not tell who was saying what due to their voices being extremely similar, even with subtitles this didn’t help. Then you have Jesse (aka glenn from walking dead) boring as hell just get out of here please....thankyou.
Finally when i thought it was all over it wasn’t you have to play the game as shehulk, and what i can only explain is naughty dogs attempt to pull a breaking bad on us and make protagonist become the antagonist, nicely done but predictable, Then the story goes off on another tangent whereby you make friends with who i describe as the One-Arm bandit an the last airbender, this part of the story seems wishy washy and pointless, its as if they struggled to think of what Abby could have been up to whilst Ellie was raising hell, the term wild goose chase comes to mind.
The cherry on the top that really destroyed it for me and when I thought no, please no, no naughty dog, you didn’t just, oh my yes you did, was when they pulled out the transfender storyline, the lesbian love story was fine although a little awkward to watch at times. But when the transgender storyline popped it was as if naughty dog pulled down their preverbial pants and let current affairs/media/society as a whole slowly insert a 10 inch d1ldo inside them, If the game came out a year later I wouldn’t have been suprised if Abby was Black! I’m by no means homophobic at all but i hear about all this daily in the news, the last thing i or i assume most people want is for this kind of crap to smear its way into our beloved game storylines, theres a time and place an this isn’t it, Naughty Dog should try less to be “original” and please the mass population but instead try to please the gamers and the people who actually play the games.

This game just seemed to lack so much passion, and instead felt like yet another director falling victim to their own ego and drive to usurp viewer expectations for no identifiable reason. I am incredibly dissapointed in this misdirected series that truly should have been a one-off with no sequel. Expand

Reviewing a sequel is always a bit iffy. I'll try and be fair here though.

In terms of story, it feels undercooked. It feels like they had ideas, but couldn't decide the best way to implement them. A lot of the story beats could've made sense if given more time to build. Some of the choices seem ill thought out. A scene happens very early in the story (we all know which I believe),

In terms of story, it feels undercooked. It feels like they had ideas, but couldn't decide the best way to implement them. A lot of the story beats could've made sense if given more time to build. Some of the choices seem ill thought out. A scene happens very early in the story (we all know which I believe), which feels haphazard and rushed. It feels like shock for shocks sake. We all knew something like this was likely to happen, it very well could've worked, but again, it was executed very poorly. The choices of story afterwards don't get much better. It's a perfect example of "what could've been". The characters could've been more fleshed out, the plot could've been given more time to breathe, the pivotal story points could've been given more weight. We see moments of character interaction of old in flashbacks, the entire museum segment is arguably the best in the entire game.

The character representation has seemingly been crippled by something. Neil Druckmann has made no secret of his intention to include characters of certain groups and orientations. I can't shake the feeling that he's not writing characters at the moment, but caricatures. The LGBTQ+ characters are largely made to be unlikeable. Which seems strange coming from a Naughty Dog game. The track record of likeable characters from this developer is well known and highly lauded, and rightly so. It does beg the question of what the intention then was. Because it seems to be to make everyone, including the LGBTQ+ characters as unlikeable as possible.

The gameplay is improved from the original, nothing to write home about but there is improvement there. The graphics as expected from ND are impeccable.

My recommendation would be to buy this on a heavy sale. This game being a ND game had a lot of expectation on it's story. It would seem to me, and clearly a lot of others that they failed here. It is not nearly comparable to the original in any way from a story perspective.

The characters we knew and loved have been seemingly ret-conned to a point where they appear to be different people with a similar name. The new characters fair no better, if anything, they get it worse, as there's nothing to grab onto and relate to. The originals ambiguous ending has also been changed to a black & white matter as well. Gone is the uneasy feeling of Joels final decision, instead changed to him being the obvious villain of the game.

I don't know what lead to this outcome, but something changed drastically between parts 1 and 2 development. I would genuinely urge the developers at ND to try and identify this change and make changes for their next project. They can do better than this, they have done better than this. I hope they will do better than this.

So what do we get when we strip a heavily story based game out of it's story? Another mediocre zombie survival game with good visuals and gameplay from 2013. And quite frankly good visuals from Naughty Dog is not an acheivement anymore. They have the know how, they did it before with previous generations of PS, so it's not a big deal for them to use every genertion of playstation to it's limits. Quite frankly it's not a big deal for any AAA studio anymore.

In my opinion this game is a 5/10 at best. I can understand all those 0/10, as the fanbase is furious and wants to make a statement with those bomb reviews. But all those 10/10 critics scores are a joke and show in what state the gaming journalism really is.
If a linear stroy driven game with really weak story, good visuals, mediocre gameplay, combat that lacks variety get's a 10/10, then what score should RDR2, The Witcher 3, or Final Fantasy XIV get? I guess a 20/10.

10/10 should be acheived by groundbreaking titles only. That score is for games that have great graphics, amazing story, memorable characters, fun an challenging gameplay, spot on sound and deliver innovative features/concepts that nobody tried before. And sadly TLOU2 gives us only great graphics. Everything else is just mediocre at best.

    -Gameplay is alright.

    The Bad:
-The story completely drags the experience down as a whole. The new characters that are introduced don't really have or give us any reasons as to why we should care about them the same way we cared about the previous game's characters. It tries to pull off this extremely serious tone but it does it so much it reaches a point where it becomes the most hilariously absurd thing i've ever witnessed with a friend. If you're in for a great story, you are better off elsewhere as it is simultaneously unsatisfying and unrewarding.
-The game really isn't that challenging or throws punches at you. It always feels like you're being lead by the game, instead of having the player adapt to the game's difficulty itself. There's literally a option to "Skip Puzzles"

    The Ugly:
-The gameplay while it's alright, the maps are huge as hell, which means it takes a lot of time to really clear out an area. This can be boring if you just can't get into the game, or in my case, aren't laughing with a friend at how hilarious the prone system is.

-The prone mechanic is broken as can be. It takes away all the challenge of stealth and reached a point to were i would fire literal loud GUNS at people and yet they still couldn't find me. Incredible.

Its very clear Naughty Dog put a lot of effort into this game, there's no doubt about that. The way they've been going about it though in terms of arguing about it with the people online is...really bad. There's some hints of a good game buried in here somewhere, Maybe if the gameplay improved since the previous one, or if some of the story elements were changed. It's not the worst game ever, but it's certainly not good.

5/10. A Shallow experience, that yields unrewarding results and an ending that leaves an outcome nobody really is going to like....at all.

I've wrote for two hours on word for this game and word decided to crash so **** it, here is a retarded, poorly written version of what i wanted to say

The biggest problem is that the game is trying hard to make you feel in certain way... The problem it did not worked on many people. The game is violent, like gorefest for no reason, tries really hard to make you want revenge and then show you as bad and Abby as good, you then play the other half of the game playing Abby, and it's shows how much of a good person she is compared to Joel.

The game is painful to play, there is no pay off, the game literally spits you on the face, have no respect for the character that you love.

Apparently, Neil Druckman saw a video when he was younger where he saw a man get beaten. He got mad, disgusted and wanted to destroy the people that, he wanted REVENGE, after the first game he thought that he could make other people feel like that about Abby and then prove them that the bad one was you all along and that the revenge gets you nowhere.

But what Neil didn't saw coming I guess is that most of the people did not care if we were bad or not, we just cared about the characters that we loved, so the ending sounds and look cheap when you only wants to kill her. Other like me just lost all interest after seeing Joel getting destroyed (I finished it but did not care about anything after that).

The game and the message just do not work.

But one of the biggest problems is that all the problems and questions set by the first game about the world, characters, city, sickness, the cure... Just got ignored. After playing the last of us 2 for 20h the world and stories and everything around didn't move. It's just some drama about some people and all the important question are just ignored.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Lets get the obvious part out of the way. Visual, sound and acting ... all top tier so there really isn't anything people can complain about in terms of these 3.

Gameplay wasn't the highlight of the first game either. It is a very basic action and stealth gameplay, with light survival elements. Since this basically the same passable bare-bones gameplay loop with slight tweaks, that adds little to none to the experience and is there to fill out the actual gameplay sequences between cutscenes.

Now the bread and butter of the first game was its story. The actual setting wasn't anything new. But the thing is that the setting itself played secondary role to the actual characters. It just served the purpose if instigating events that would lead to Joel and Ellie meeting.
From there on, the actual story of a dead world, and the possibility of a cure was way overshadowed by the simple but effective dynamic between the two.
Joel could be the father he never got the chance to be, and Ellie finally felt like someone cared for her.
It was simple, but the small bits of bliss in an otherwise dark world kept people stuck to their screens.

The Last of Us Part II has almost none of that. It has 2 very short flashback sequences where the charm of the original game got to shine trough, but that's all.
The Last of Us Part 2 basically boils down to one major shock factor, that is showed in fairly early into the game, and the rest is a bore-fest of following the uninteresting new character, or the bleak revenge story that leads absolutely nowhere.

It has been said before when the first game was released, and sequel emphasizes this, but the first game was a wholesome story and experience, with a proper ending.

As this is a story driven game that wants to play on players emotions for the characters in the first game. The set up for Joel doesn't work, because Joel does some very un-Joel things and it breaks his character. As for Ellie she seems to have learnt nothing from the first game. So both Joel and Ellie don't develop as characters. They both regress and in a unconvincing way narratively.

The ending has all the build up and no pay off. Which makes me think oh no not a direct sequel to this? Or maybe another DLC cash grab later to wrap things up?

As for the new playable character Abby the way she dropped in the time line of the game really didn't help us the player get behind her in any way. As for the emotional manipulation with dogs seriously fts. I have been attacked and bit by a large dog to the point of hospitalization. So in my case I have more PDST than feels for attack dogs on Ellie case.

As like the first game more miss than hit gameplay, but with weaker characterisation and story this time around. The gameplay was never the hook or draw with this series. It was the story and characters, but this time they failed to deliver on the meat and potatoes story. Leaving us sipping on the gravy game play.

As a single player only, linear based story game it absolutely didn't hit the mark. This games story is all over the place and it tries to make you care about characters you've never heard of before this game. The ending was a disaster, they killed off their best character in the most meaningless most stupid way. The whole story is pointless. As a huge fan of Naughty Dog I'm sad to see this happen. I have no idea if Neil Druckmann is to blame for this garbage fire of a story. Whoever approved it is an idiot and should be fired. And to those who think that I hate this game because you play as a female character, you're wrong. I hate it because it disrespects the original characters for a new never before seen characte that no one cares for although the game tries so hard to make you care. As someone who enjoyed the first Last Of Us game I was really looking to playing this sequel and even went out of my way to avoid all the spoilers for it and after playing the game all the way through I can say that in terms of the graphics and the gameplay this game does well at that but the story of this is nowhere near as good as the first game. The moment Joel gets killed off by Abby that right there was enough for me to hate this character and nothing they could do was ever going to change my mind on her and playing as the character for 10 hours after that happened in a desperate bid to make people care for this character did not work on me at all there was nothing redeemable about this character or her friends that all ended getting killed which they deserved because of what they did in the first place and the ending left a sour taste in my mouth, they could have at least given the players the choice to decide if they should let Abby live or die but we never got that which in the end left Ellie with nothing at the end of it all.

So this is by no means a 10 out of 10 game the gameplay and graphics was the only good things about this sequel but the story to me was a huge letdown.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The Last of Us Part 2 is an ok game, which comes to be a disappointment given the expectations around it after the masterpiece the first game of the series was. The gameplay has hardly anything new compared to the first game and is stale, hardly rewarding and loaded with tension. The technical side is what shines, with fantastic graphics and music. The story is what disappoints the most. Unlike a lot of people, I actually liked Abby’s story plot (and levels, as they were gorgeous and interesting) but left disappointed as the game fails to properly explore the lore, specially of the scars, and drops a new faction towards the end without any introduction. At last, the gamer can see the ending coming miles away and it’s not satisfactory, and pretty much what one would expect. It gives the game no closure. If there is a Part 3, I do hope Naughty Dog moves from Ellie, Joel, and Abby to properly explore this world, while creating a story that people can connect to, like it was the first game. Expand

Great graphics, probably the best looking game on PS4. Hollow, repetitive, clichè story that assumes the player is an idiot. Misleading trailers just to subvert expectations, virtue signalling forced in to the narrative.

I understand what Naughty Dog were going for, trying to incorporate the bleakness of real life in to the game, where there’s no heroes, no happy endings, no adventure.

But, people play games for heroes and adventure, this is the wrong medium for these views. People play games for escapism, not to be lectured like a documentary.

What should have been GOTY, fails to be a good 'game'. The story fails, the gameplay, while an improvement on the first game, didn’t improve enough.

This game just reeks of missed potential, what should have been ‘Breaking Bad’ turned out to be ‘Game of Thrones Season 8’ or the new Star Wars movies.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The only thing coming for this game are the visuals, the graphics and the soundtrack. All of these are amazing and are the only reason the game comes close to a 6. Meanwhile, the storytelling, while it would be "ok" for another franchise from another unknown developer, it is mindblowingly worse compared not only to the first Last of Us but also to almost every other game in Naughty Dog's catalog. The story is repetitive, bringing a stupid concept about "revenge bad" that is constantly hammered in the players head, but it is also meaningless, with the whole story being driven by Ellie's desire to take revenge only not to do it at the last minute. It teaches the player nothing and is absolutely upsetting and even disappointing for most of the fanbase. The characters are quickly introduced and are not developed in any way, but sometimes I think they shouldn't be, since most of them are killed and forgotten about 5 minutes later. Everything the game had coming for it, specially coming from a amazing game that is LoU, it's thrown away for a bad storytelling and quick cash grab. Not only could this game give players second thoughts when buying a Naughty Dog game, it can also make the writer/ Neil Druckman's career questionble or even worthless; when someone who wrote the first Last of Us or even the best games on the Uncharted franchise writes the generic and lame story this game presents. At the end, Joel's death was nothing more than a stupid way to star a meaningless revenge story that ends in nothing. At the end, this game deserves nothing more than a 5, a 5 that is only there because of visuals. Expand

Gotta say i was expecting more, despite what actors and sony said the leaks did leak a lot of the game, the main thing that annoyed me was Melee combat once you get hit your stuck getting hit unless you have a shiv/knife or you can somehow hit the dodge button perfectly cause if you time it wrong you will get hit before you complete the dodge or right after, it annoys me so much that 3 enemy encounters were focused around this and a block button would have served a better purpose since our enemies can block. The story is also just revenge after revenge, ellie comes to try and get revenge on abby after abby came to get revenge on joel, then abby comes to get revenge on ellie but decides not to and then ellie in her PTSD riddled mind decides to go try and get revenge on abby again. Like what the hell the last game was about Joel and ellie bonding in an abandonded world as they try to bring her to the only people that can rid the world of the infected and how joel decides that he cares too much about ellie to sacrifice her, but no this game is all revenge theres no survival and the only bonding done is in the last 5-6 hours of a game that took me 40 hours to complete. They try to make you feel bad for abby but i feel more pain for those that travel with her later on in the game as they are stuck on the run with her due to one of them making some bad decisions. Ellie just straight pissed me off to much with how she treats her friends and those close to her the only good moments i found with her were in playable flashback moments that take place just after the first game and just before the beginging to this one. Another point of annoyance is how hard it is to aim woth any weapon theres so much sway you'd think that the characters were infected like ellie and abby have been suvivng for how long and been training to shoot for how long yet they cant keep a steady arm, and that sex scene is just plain unnecessary sony censors other games for less and yet they allowed this and that just pisses me off. The only great positive the game has is Graphics and detail in animations the game looks beautiful and the detail in some of the animations with no clipping or stutter is amazing its just a shame that its all wasted here. Just finished the game and should say - it wasn’t so bad, like many of you wrote here. But it much worse than part1. And some ideas of the plot... it’s ok... until you throw it to my face. I don’t have bad thoughts about it... but please, don’t make me watch or think about it more than I should...

    Pros:
    -Great acting
    -Incredible visuals
    -Amazing sound design

    Cons:
    -Terrible narrative
    -Borring, repetitive and tedious gameplay
-Too much political messaging that doesn't fit the world of tlou at the point that I stopped feeling inmersed.

Conclussion: unnecessary sequel, better to stick with the first one and forget this was ever made.

The issues I had with the game are purely subjective and relate to my dislike of the story and how certain characters seemed to take actions that were adverse to the core traits that they were shown to use in the previous installment and in earlier portions of this game.

This really did not seem to be a SJW game in the sense where it made women seem more capable physically and mentally versus the men in the game. It's just a game where women just so happened to be at the core of the conflict. I am one of those people that really dislike the the SJW mentality most of the time and so if that was apparent in this game, I would have turned it off and stopped playing. This game treats femininity like Kill Bill, Alien, Underwater, and even Wonder Woman. The women in this game are competent and have been trained through their survival to be rugged and crafty. The men in the game were not done like Poe or Luke from star wars so that the women in the game looked better. The men were competent and trained to survive as well.

If you dislike this game, please don't let it be for the leaks because the leaks seemed to make many people think this is a SJW game and its not.

    The Good
The gameplay is phenomenal. its buttery smooth and ellie/abby controls beautifully. There are no problems when playing as either character. The graphics are amazing, visually its the peak of gaming with Ghost of Tsushima rivaling it. the game as it plays is great and what ive come to expect from a naughty dog title. The enemies were clever and it was very fun from a gameplay perspective. The music and audio design was top notch everything i did fit and fit way too well.

    The bad
The story was just bad. It was so bad i almost quit playing the game 3 separate times. I literally went to the home screen. Abbys whole story was ultimately pointless because she brought it upon herself. We are supposed to feel bad for herbut i did not. The relationships this time were not nearly as good as the original. The cast jumped in and out too much to care for them. Switching between abby and ellie was jarring and jumping between the two was just disorienting. I wish they just had 2 separate stories one for ellie and one for abby. I think killing joel was just the wrong route to go. There were so many out of place scenes as well like A FULL ON GOD DAMN SEX SCENE between abby and owen which was thrown in there for no reason. The story was a full on mess and ellie's actions were so bizarre and out of place. The best parts of the game were the flashbacks and that's because the interactions were amazing because joel and ellie have great chemistry and bounce off each other so well. Lev was just a worse ellie i liked him but he was literally just there to try and humanize abby who acts like a monster.

The model for abby looks really bizarre and off. Most women dont look like that unless they are body builders and even then body builders are on special diets to maintain their look and abby looks like she tried to take steroids and male hormones and stopped taking halfway. her young design is good and looks like a real person. her older design looks like somebody's fanfic character in this game also burritos would definitely not make you look that way. even real soldiers do not look like that. It felt like they finished ellies section but thought the game was too short and decided to create a whole scenario for abby the antagonist. literally lev is ellie just as a boy. they literally took joel from the first game and made abbie a clone of him. Also those stats and gains you made from the story are gone when you first get to abby modern day. so 15 hours in they expect you to start from scratch. It made me consider quitting the game. Also really shes punching zombies come on thats just dumb.

The ending was also just not fun. It literally felt like they put it there so they could try and show abby is redeemed. Ellie enters an armed compound with tons of people just to fist fight abby who is being held prisoner and being tortured by the people in the compound and its dumb. The whole story is terrible. not only that the character relationships were all over the place and i could attached to any of the characters. They had too many characters and really the only ones i remember well were dina and ellie and owen and abby which both were poorly done and i did not care for. Overall the story is bad and boring and for a story driven game thats half the fun.

Overall this game is a game that is good gameplay wise but abysmally bad in its storytelling. If you are looking for a story driven game. I would just play the first one because its perfect and did not need a sequel especially one this bad storywise. Its a very good game, gameplay wise but gameplay for a story driven game is only half of the game. story is also important and it flops on that.

Its not a 1/10 no the game is very playable and smooth but it screwed up the story so bad i can't go higher than 5/10. That's what i give this game its a game that plays amazingly but the story needed a complete rewrite its that bad.

However the game is let down massively by uneven pacing, poor writing and mixed level design that really spoil what is on offer here.

The elephant in the room: It's no secret that this game had big boots to fill and this series in particular lives on it's story which is in a word quite terrible. The plot has several prominent convenient and immersion breaking plot holes and conveniences that fail to really give a valid reason for it's existence. The characters are poor and do not reflect the excellent character building from the last game and almost deliberately seek to tear them down in a way that is hollow and unfulfilling. Some new characters are good but on the whole most are shallow and not likeable with little core to them that would build the empathy the game attempts. This game can be fun but it is massively overshadowed by this due to it's heavy story focus. There is a bold decision halfway through that makes little sense in how it was excuted. This game would score significantly higher (7-8) if the story was given a directors cut that interspersed the stories with each-other at the same time.

Gameplay wise it's more refined and open but again suffers from poor pacing and some areas of really quite awful level design which appears to get worse as the title progressed. You can see at the beginning that they wanted to expand the scope but this is replaced later on by increasingly linear hallway type levels that don't expand the series in any meaningful way.

Combat too is refined, but is more of the same and is not really improved beyond some elements of stealth and does little to further the genre.

Sound is excellent, graphics are great. This on paper could have been a masterpiece but unfortunately it was executed poorly. It is not a bad game and it's not a masterpiece.

I would recommend renting this or waiting for it to go on sale. If you do not like depressing content or really enjoyed the first for it's story I would probably give this a miss entirely.

I love shooting ,destroying things, and blood as much as the next guy. However when you feel the need for a what seems like a 10 second real life death rattle for every kill (excluding instand head shots) it gets to be a bit much. I’m Do not buy this broken game and waste 60$ Just yet. Everyone is having corrupted saves. Some can’t start it. Lets hope sony pays more mind to the ps5 and we dont waste 500+$ on a broken system. I’d love to give this game a 10 but the crashes were overwhelming, definitely pushed the PS4 to the limit as it looks like it should be a ps5 title. If you do get it you are on for a wild ride and sadly a frustrating one

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Naughty Dog is a (deeply) flawed hero in this story. I can understand the parallels between Ellie and Abby: both of them lost so much due to hatred and revenge. I understand the immersion with the character that Naughty Dog tried to make between us and Ellie: (HEAVY SPOILERS!!!) When Abby kills Joel, Ellie is **** pissed, and we are **** pissed. When Ellie questions why did that happen, we question WHY DID THAT HAPPEN (naughty dog)!? By the end of the game, after going in a killing spree, Ellie feels uncomfortable, and so do we. We realize the consequences of hating and the eternal cycle of vengeance, just like Ellie, and to break this cycle (Lev would probably go in revenge after Ellie if she had killed Abby), Ellie chooses to spare the person that made her transform into something practically inhuman. The idea of this kind of immersion with a character is one of the most amazing ideas I have ever seen in entertainment history. The choice of killing Joel early on is one of the most bold moves i have ever seen in my life: it´s unfair... it´s **** disappointing... but it serves the idea of connection between character and player (or at least it should). That said, the gameplay, the graphics, the level design, the accessibility, and the CONNECTION between player and character are breathtaking (NOTE: I said the CONNECTIONS between player and character, and not the characters themselves, with few exceptions). The 10-hour long gameplay with Abby was unnecessary. I understand that Naughty Dog wanted to present the ultimate lesson that we can extract from this game: It doesn´t exist good or evil. All that exists is the point of view (or some **** like that). With a 30 minute or an hour gameplay we could have know all that we should know about Abby and her motivations, and the people that she cares about. But she IS the villain. Why would you wanna play for more than 2 hours as the villain of a game? Why does this game have to act like the world is 90% of the time a cruel place, and that ultimately there is more "bad" than "good"? Why does it has so much negativism in such dark times? Why wouldn´t you feel the same connections and lessons by keeping Joel alive for more than 2 and half hours? Joel being alive could add SO MUCH MORE in terms of gameplay and more in therms of history. Imagine that in the 5 years time jump between the first and the second game, Ellie actually had built an extremely deep relationship with someone (Dina maybe). A relationship that was the OPPOSITE of what it was with Joel, and with that, Ellie actually had a bigger emotional gap between her and him. Because she found out the truth. And she found out that she was starting to become like Joel. So she pushed him away and found love with someone else. The same **** with the WLF could happen, only this time Joel doesn´t die. But Jackson does, maybe Tommy as well. Not only Ellie would be **** pissed off but Joel would too. Imagine a more brutal combat with JOEL. A man who had everything taken away from him. But in case if you´re wondering "Wouldn´t this compromise the emotional relationship that we have with Ellie? I mean, we have a much deeper connection with Joel then with Tommy and a bunch of generic NPCs, because we played with him during the entire first game. So killing somebody other than Joel as a motivation of vengeance for Ellie wouldn´t cause the same impact and rage on US, and consequently we wouldn´t have the same connection we have with Ellie when Joel was killed". I understand that. I DO. Naughty Dog had to sacrifice Joel in order to deepen an emotional connection between us and Ellie. But it could have been in SO MANY different ways. Joel could have feel guilty because he had put his guard down with Abby and because of that he blames himself for the destruction of Jackson. So we would play the 10 hour section with JOEL, and not Abby. By mid-game he could die in a more meaningful way, maybe he could die learning an ultimate lesson that we would only discover when playing with Ellie, maybe he should have achieved some level of redemption for all horrible things he did. It´s a real shame ND just cutted off the connection between Joel and Ellie in favor of some partes that weren´t really necessary and could have been avoided. My admiration for Naughty Dog improves a little bit when I take a look at their point of view, and the genuine balls they had on killing off this iconic character in favor of something new, and an amazing connection between player and character. But ND also had to assume the possibility of dissappointing their fans. And as we can see by these scores (most from people who didn´t played the game, but still) people are pissed. A BIG part of me is **** pissed. I don´t know if anyone is gonna see this but I HAD TO LET IT OUT. What a shame Naughty Dog. Hopefully you get the chance of having the redemption that Joel never had. 5/10 - Congratulations, you may have just broken your fanbase in two. Expand

I have to keep telling myself that this is just a game and it shouldn't bother me so much that for the last 6 hours of this experience I couldn't wait for it to be over.

On top of that I actually felt horrified when the invitation to "enjoy" a new game plus popped up. I am not sure why anyone would want to experience a 25 hour long, nihilistic, black hole of a narrative in the first

I am not sure why anyone would want to experience a 25 hour long, nihilistic, black hole of a narrative in the first place, never mind return to it for a second helping.
Which sucks because everything else is so beautifully done in this game. Environments, character animations, combat mechanics and sound design are probably some of the best I have experienced in my past 30 years of gaming.
All of these elements scream for second and third play-through but at this stage I don't think I could stomach replaying the first game. Which speaks volumes, as I have loved going back to it at least once a year since finding out that the video game medium can truly deliver a complex, nuanced narrative on par with books and television.
The Last of Us 2 however, in my opinion, does not deliver anything remotely as complex or thought provoking as the first game.
It is a painful, apathy inducing grind of watching underdeveloped characters getting brutally killed in vivid detail by other characters, who's natures are not so subtlety subverted to deliver a message:

"See here player. All this blood and rage and sadness that we have made you participate in. It really isn't worth it. Revenge is an empty pursuit."

I have gleaned more wisdom from a cat poster than this bizarre experience.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view.

I am fine with Joel dying, but the way he went out was out of character and poorly executed.

The worst part of the game was to spend +10h as Abby to "care" about her and her crew. Instead I went from hate to loathing the characters, I could honestly write a whole thesis on why they all suck. Fighting Tommy and Ellie was the most idiotic decision ever made. Why would you want to fight

The game is not a 0/10 and definitely not a 10/10. It has wonderful graphics, sound and gameplay. There is a lot of wonderful sections such as Ellie flashbacks, the rooftop scene, the Seraphite city, Jackson. However I would NOT recommend this game and ND should feel ashamed for their false advertisement.

If Ellie truly was the only playable character then the game could have been A LOT better.
