    Pienso que el juego tiene un punto positivo en sus mecanicas jugables y aspecto gráfico, pero la historia y el guión hacen que parezca una novela de producción barata, es triste que se tome un juego para plasmar posiciones radicales personales.

    In my opinion it is an incredible video game in all kinds of areas but mainly in the emotional field, since very few games manage to make their players feel the emotions in such a well-achieved way both in the cinematics and in the confrontations against the various enemies .     Graphics and game play are top notch for any PS4 game out there. Very little bugs, only a couple that were visual that had no impact on gameplay. I do wish there were more variations in enemies, the dogs are a nice addition but there aren't that many of them in the game. This game does have a very deep customization/accessibility settings menu that I appreciate, even a FOV slider whichGraphics and game play are top notch for any PS4 game out there.     The story I don't see why there is so much hate from everyone against it, I enjoyed it, not quite as much as tlou1. I do think it dragged on slightly too long, at the least the last 5 hours or so and went back and forth in it's revenge plot one too many times. There were two flashback sequences that just involved too much walking around and talking I found particularly boring at times as well. Overall it was worth the $80 I paid.    … Expand

    I waited 7 years for this game and it was all I've ever waited for. Every detail of every inch of the game is perfectly made, every move of Ellie and Abby is so realistic, in combat and when they're just walking or crawling, also every wolf, scar, runner, clicker, etc. is a unique character, with a name and with a sense of where he is standing and the people around him, they even piss off when you kill their dog; when you kill them you can see where the bullet went through, remove extremities or see half bodies after you blow them with exploding arrows or mines. Playing this game has changed everything I've known about single player campaign, which was tough after ND's Uncharted 4.

    The story played with my emotions so much, although the first part began with Joel's past and how he got to be the man who meets Ellie, when we play as Joel we get to see the bond growing because of the attachment we get towards Ellie and how in just one year he radder save her than the entire human race (kinda like the ethic debate about the train going for one or ten persons), whom we watch how his skull is smashed right in our eyes (Ellie's eyes), by a woman that then I have to play with further un the game. This is spectacular in two ways, starting with the idea of Abby, where they work in this grey personality, not black and white, that nobody should be judged as the "good guy" or "bad guy". Second, and most important, Joel made the decision of whipping a hole group of people to save Ellie (beautiful to think about because there's an argue in the game about Ellie saying she wanted her life to matter, but to Joel Ellie's life mattered more than anyone else's), this makes Abby be obsessed about finding and killing him, which she does, making now Ellie go after her. This is pretty basic, but here's the magic of the game, the path Ellie follows for revenge is dark, torturing and killing, including a pregnant woman, they use Joel flashbacks to make you feel her pain, but every crappy act she makes we can see how she's losing to the anger and not being herself (we can see in a fragment of her journal saying "Seattle still hunts me", not regarding Abby, but her own acts), after the theater scene it seemed like it was over, but the game continues to a perfect end. When Ellie is fighting Abby, just about to kill her, two things happen, we see a Joel flashback in a "is this what he'd want?" kinda way and, more importantly, Joel killed to save Ellie, Abby killed in revenge and Ellie was about to do the same, maybe the Lev was going to seek revenge against Ellie, but she stopped, she ended the Talion law, she put and end to the dark path she was going, which left horrible consequences like Tommy's leaving Maria and Dina leaving the farm and life with Ellie, she even lost the ability to play guitar.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This is one of the most mixed feelings review I will ever write in my life and also the saddest.

    I had great expectations for TLOU 2, we all had, and after playing it I felt like it was a good game but there was something off. After reading many reviews, opinions and facts about the game, my mindset changed.

    First of all, failing to maintain character. Not in living hell Joel would trust a large group of strangers out of nowhere, standing in the middle of a room surrounded by said group and even going out to say his name. This is unacceptable, that's not Joel and if ND wanted Joel dead then they should have spent more time thinking on how they could create this death into the game, it's just a lack of creativity or maybe they're just lazy when it comes to killing on of the most beloved character of the entire gaming culture.

    In second we need to talk about Abby, you can call me homophobic or whatever you want but her looks feel too forced, the character development feels forced and ND tried it's best efforts to make us like her. In the end she becomes the thing she swore to destroy, she becomes kinda like Joel considering her actions towards the end but obviously we won't like her because she killed the character we LOVED and this is a very important aspect. To clarify, I accept Joel's death but like this makes it hard for a person to even enjoy the game since every time we see Joel sadness takes over us even during that super cute scene in Ellie's birthday.

    Next point, Ellie and Tommy. Ellie is an amazing character, love her from the bottom of my heart and after everything she went through it doesn't make sense her leaving Abby alive. ND makes the game in a way so that you see Ellie and Joel as the bad guys but when you weigh the character's actions Abby and her father aren't that better if not worse than Joel, I'll talk about this later. Now Tommy feels like he was under-used, low amount of screen time when in Joel's absence he could have been the one to save the game's story and his high moment was when he killed Manny, too bad we were playing as Abby for the last 5 hours though and too bad he didn't get to hit her too. Only Tommy stood true to his word when my expectation was to be Ellie the one who would carry the vengeance until the end. Just look at RDR2 revenge type of story, it's a much better one and if in the end Micah would have been forgiven people would be pissed just like people are pissed with TLOU 2.

    Back to Abby's father, since in The Last of Us' universe the infection is fungi based a vaccine is the dumbest of ideas. A vaccine will only prevent people from getting infected and not save the infected ones, also they can still die if a bite injury is too severe. The first thing you would do with Ellie would be taking a bit of her blood and study her white cells to see what was different on her immune system that that was able to combat the infection. After that you could possibly develop a medicine to fight the fungus and help people before they turn into a runner. This seems a much better option than killing an unconscious 14 year old girl without her consent. This also means, Joel's decision in the end of the first game doesn't mean anything, in fact he might have saved the world by keeping Ellie alive.

    We need to admit, Neil Druckmann messed it all up and failed to deliver the game the people who waited 7 years wanted so much. I have depression (according to professionals, I don't think so) and I looked at this game as my 2020 savior and well it just made my year worse because the game is quite literally a depressing deception.

    5/5 - Graphics, Detail, Mechanics & Gameplay
    2/5 - Story

    Thank you for reading my review and I hope I convinced you why this is both the best and the worse game of the PS4.

    EDIT: Forgot to add that it's kinda sad the only new character that was well developed (minimally) got killed by Abby too, this character being Jesse. Makes me wanna cry so hard.    … Expand

    Let’s be honest though - we waited for this game with the highest expectations because the first was amazing and riveting and heartfelt and passionate and brave - and ultimately, about building family without blood, and love without condition. And through the initial story we learn to appreciate the little things of beauty in this messed up world... In huge contrast to The Last of Us 2 - the story made me feel bad playing it. I was absolutely miserable in the second half of the game and frankly I stopped right after Ellie set off for her final show down. I ended up just watching the spoilers, because that’s how upsetting it was to have come this far not knowing who the hell I was controlling anymore.

    #NotMYEllie And on top of it all, Joel... my hero, the hero. The humanity. All of it crushed in by a buff chick I have no sympathy for... They may as well have forced me to club him to death at the beginning with my own square button - and I should have known right then, that I was not going to find any fun, any hope nor any consolation in finishing this game after buying it.

    Absolutely baddddd story telling. The only thing that made this game worth 4 stars rather than less, was the gameplay itself, the guitar functions and the flashbacks of Joel and Ellie, especially on her birthday. Otherwise, this game is smack in the face to its faithful fans and followers. How dare you? You should have just made the Last of Us, the LAST game in this story period - if this was all you could come up with. This is not what we wanted. Next time just ask us...    … Expand

The switch to Abby being the worst and hardest to get through but eventually it is worth it. Some of the characters are under developed making their deaths not very impactful but the most important characters are giving the attention required. The visuals are the best I have ever seen and si are some if the set pieces rivaled only by a few games. The gameplay is fun and satisfying to carryout.… Expand

    Not worthy of all the hate. There are some things that I don't like. And they do try to make you sympathize for a group of people who you'd still want dead after you play the game. But it's a great game. Don't let homophobic agenda stop you from playing it.

I didn’t like looking at events from both sides at first, but then the second part of the game became much better for me than the first. The second part presented a new narrative experience that was not there before.     Being a huge fan of the first game I would say this game would have a lot to live up to. Graphics wise it’s one of the most real looking games of all times. That by it self is why I gave it at least two stars. The best part of the first game is the story and putting you into heart breaking situation at the end. Not only is the reason one of the main characters die ridiculous then you have to play as his killer. She’s a very unlikable character as well as the rest of her group. You play to get to your revenge against this girl who killed you father figure only to not exact that revenge. The main issue is these characters are written out of character only to push a feminist agenda. The game play is about the same except the jump button. Who cares. It really does nothing. This has really soured me on ND. Worst sixty bucks I’ve spent on a game in a long time.… Expand

The main character of the first game is completely dismantled and re-written as a garbage person, they made up a contrived way to kill him off, then you play as his murderer. The cast of this game is completely forgettable, dies fast and 10 hours later the game reminds you of them once so you can feel bad that you killed them. Its a completely unstructured mess that deserves all the hate and it did not understand why the first game resonated with so many people. I still think of the characters from the first game from time to time, the second, I care not one bit what kind of people they were, they die fast and the characters just move on.… Expand

When Joel kills Abby’s father and then she kills Joel then it forces Ellie to go after Abby. This cycle would go on forever if Ellie killed Abby. Ellie thought about Joel and realized that she needed to stop this cycle. She lets Abby live, which would make no sense if we only saw the game from the point of view of Ellie. This only makes sense because we see the consequences of killing in both Abby’s story and Ellie’s. I loved all the guitar parts literally my favourite parts of the entire game and the gameplay is fantastic. Story may not be what you want, but instead what it needs to be. Sorry not sorry... overall good game but the way they killed Joel just makes me super sad and I really did hate playing as Abby but I understand that it was necessary. For those reasons, 8/10.… Expand

    _Joel character doesn't act in correlation with is traits from the first game; and get killed because it was needed in the story. That bad piece of writing happens after only 2 hours..

    _First half of the game makes the player forget a little bit about that dumb-Joel nonsense until the game makes you play as the character you hate, the one who killed Joel.. 10 hours of boring redondent gameplay with characters you don't care about , hoping for a final revenge..

    _Revenge which doesn't even happen as the player is deprived of that choice during one of the most ridiculous endings I've ever seen.    … Expand

    Had to play it twice before I could make up my mind. First time I played it, I hated part of the game and I rushed through it because I was desperate to get it over with.
    I realized I made a mistake and missed out for speed running it.
    After replaying it, appreciated it so much more.

But this piece of trash deserves nothing else. Graphics and sound are beyond anything you have seen before on PS4 .. True. But that is it. Gameplay is fun at certain stages, but nothing you have not seen before. You are on a revenge trip for Joel and then you have to play as the one who killed Joel? Seriously WTF. Stopped 1 hour after this happens, cant force myself to play any longer. Imagine any series or movie, where suddenly the most annoying character becomes the center point of the story .. Now have fun.… Expand

    So I just finished the game and wanted to share my thoughts as this game has been getting a lot of undeserved hate. The first half of the game is phenomenal. Truly amazing. But the story of the first half is very controversial because of Joel’s death. I think Joel dying so early I. The game was t a bad choice for story design but it’s the way it was executed. Joel and Tommy are survival experts and know when they are walking into an ambush. Tommy even tells them to go to Jackson for supplies and head back where they came from. That isn’t the true Miller brothers we know from the first one. Joel’s death would’ve worked if we saw it through abbys POV from the begging in of the game. If you really think about it what would the plot be about If Joel didn’t die? Killing Joel was too soon which I disagree but it was done correctly in order to show and explain Abbys side of the story. Moving through Seattle days 1-3 was an amazing experience. Hunting down the wolves and going up against the Scars was a cool experience. I also liked the way the game dynamically changed like falling through a floor and getting setback. In terms of characters Dina is a great character but we don’t really learn too much about her. A lot of people found her controversial cause she’s apparently a feminist? Jesse is a great character I like his personality it fits well with the game. Too sad he died. Overall the first half was phenomenal. Killing everyone who was in the room that night felt great that Ellie is getting her revenge person by person. The second half of the game got interesting. We catch up with Abby right before she rushes into the theater and what she was doing 3 days prior to that. The game explains why she did what she did. It all makes sense but the game throws you in loopholes that you can’t get out of till hours later. Up until we switched to Abby I couldn’t understand why she would kill Joel out of nowhere. The gameplay was more so the same with Abby although there were some cool experiences like hospital basement with that huge monster and going on the Scar Island. I didn’t like how we played Abby for a period of time. It felt too long for me. The ending was okay. It wasn’t good. The whole part with the rattlers at the end of the game could’ve been avoided. Instead of Abby getting captured again it would’ve been better if Ellie caught up to her and killed her. Going through the rattlers felt so unnecessary that it started to drift away from the story. Now the beach scene was probably one of the worst scenes in the game. I understand that Abby got her revenge but Ellie never gets to. She lost Joel, Jesse, Tommy and Dina while Abby has lost al her friends but gets to live with Lev. Ellie lost everything to go after Abby and she doesn’t die. The ending could’ve been executed a lot better but it sucks that waiting 7 years for a game led to this. Ultimately this game was very good. The writing was mostly great. The whole gameplay experience with the graphics was absolutely phenomenal. TL:DR - TLOU2 Had a phenomenal experience and graphics but the writing in some crucial parts of the story hurt it more than helped. It’s an amazing experience to play through and I would recommend it to anybody who played the first one.… Expand

    Enjoyable is not the right word to use. It's kind of misery porn sometimes. But the technical part - graphics,sound,music,animations is straight 10/10. Also the guitar playing sections are super fun addition (take on me anyone?). Story is not as good as first one but it is still better than most of AAA games that are out there. So from me 7.5/10.

    Its dissapointing waiting 7yrs for such a poor story as this especially compared to the first one.Gameplay got really tedious after the 15 hr mark and I lost all interest for the characters about 6hrs in. Graphics are good though.

And now I'd rather flush my fking 250 bucks right into the toilet AFTER FINISHING THE GMAE. The story is a piece of sh*t and does not make any sense. And fans are totally entitled to be angry about it. Neil was doing everything that he could to make people like Abby and hate Ellie. Guess what? None of these worked. When I reached to the point where I was forced to play as Abby for nearly 10 hours, I was so confused. I don’t give a single sh*t ABOUT ABBY’S BACKSTORY! Abby is still an unlikeable character, let alone the other new characters that were created with no depth what so ever. How dare you Neil Druckmann, to take everything that I love about the first game, twist it, and make it just a social message of your own. To think forcing play to let Abby go in the end was a genius move, it just shows how untalented and incompetent he is as a writer. It's a shame that Druckmann is using LGBTQ as a cover to hide just how much an untalented writer he is. LGBTQ groups should be offended because they were just used like tools by Neil Druckmann. Well, here's my message to you, Druckmann, doesn't matter how much power was given to you, an untalented writer will always be an untalented writer. I don't think it's perfect by any means but its definitely a really good game. The gameplay alone makes it a 6-7 out of ten for me. There so many little intricate details that make combat just the funnest thing. It's exactly what I've always wanted out of a game. It feels like a fight. Enemies aren't bullet sponges and neither are you. You can die just as easily as they can and it makes taking down a large group of enemies fun every time. I will say some of the traversal can get a little tedious. Not because its difficult or anything its just full of those moments when the door is right in front of you but you have to go all the way around to open it and it feels like fluff to make the game longer. Now on to the story. I really can't say its bad. I can't tell you its poorly written and I honestly can't tell you that its "the worst story ever." I will say that I didn't love the direction they went with things. I'm not going to spoil it but the big thing that pisses people off, isn't that bad. Honestly, it was expected. I don't think the story would have been needed if they didn't do it and if it didn't happen then reviews would likely say that the game was forgettable. That being said, the thing i don't love is what they did to Ellie. Shes no longer the sarcastic fun loving happy go lucky child, she used to be. Now, she's a mean angry adult who rarely cracks jokes and makes the game miserable. I hate that. Ellie is one of my all-time favorite characters and honestly, shes been ruined. Its the single most worst handleing of a character ive ever seen. So that makes this review conflicting. I love the game. I honestly love the game. But i really hate some of the things they did.     The story is non linear, but the structure answers to the themes of memory and forgiveness which almost nobody has tackled in youtube comments since it is less evident than the story of revenge.
    The gameplay is nearly perfect and it feels much more diverse and exciting than the mechanics of the first game, not to mention the graphics and the world design.
    This game is a rare specimen of what narration can within the interactive media. In a world where multiple endings and alleged player agency are kings, this game tells a story we might not like, but which must be told and leaves us no choice. Violence and vengeance are cycles which must be broken and not everything must end with death, even if the path towards growth is built on violence.
    Anyway, I do not mean disrespect but I believe that when (or if) some of the haters read George Orwell's 1984 (the most popular example of an acid ending I could think of), they threw the book to a bonfire, wondering why the hell didn't Winston Smith just entered the Ministry of Truth with guns blazing and then fought the Big Brother on top of the Big Ben and then proceeded to kill him with a bazooka. They kill off characters with no love with or prominence. It's impossible to like any of the player characters as they act in totally unrealistic manners for no reason other than to forward the massively contrived plot.     I honestly love the game. My only issue with the game is the length, but that to me just adds replay value to it. I think it's a strong story. I think it's not the story everyone wanted, so they didn't enjoy it as much as they would have without the sky-high expectations. Honestly, this is probably in my top three games of this year

I give this game a 4/10 for what it represents, a detriment to the game it tried to improve on, but to whole industry as well.     This game was absolutely incredible! The story was phenomenal. The graphics were a 10/10. The map was huge and exploration was fun. The dialogue and facial expressions were great. The game has replay value and I'm on my 2nd playthrough as I'm typing this. Both side stories were great. This game is so close to living up to the first one. If they made a part 3, id 100% play it! When I first played as Abby after she killed Joel I killed her by letting clickers bite her, I jumped off buildings etc. I did not want to play as her. But By the end I didn't want Ellie to drown her. I really didn't know how to feel a lot of the game but I loved what I played.     the performances of the mocap actors is great, even if the script is dreadful!

    the sound design is great!

    the graphics looks very good, really really dark and glum setting, it may not be my favorite taste but it fits the story they were attempting to tell, the artists spent a long time creating it and they did a good job doing so!

    there are very little bugs or glitches in the AI, the direction of the game is very poor in terms of being so liner but it runs smoothly for what it does!

    the story is awful and spiteful and a throw away attempt at best of trying to tell a sequel, but there is some really honest hard work put into it, and I think we must as critics remember that the artists have to follow the creative leads. so we cannot blame everyone for a game turning out badly, instead the people whom were at the helm of the ship guiding them into shark invested waters in a slowly leaking life raft with blood already in the water.

    They did not improve on the gameplay from the first game which was made seven years ago. The story was badly written and felt at times like a cheap fan fiction. I feel like the director of the game has no idea of what made the first game so successful. Neil Druckmann is the gaming worlds version of M.Night Shyamalan.

If lucky enough to play TLOU 2 without spoilers like I have, I think you’ll come away from it thinking something similar to me, that this game is a masterpiece! The visuals, music and sound, the story, the pacing, voice acting, the ability to improvise in combat, all amazing. I challenge to find a game that does all of these areas as well as this game has. Every character has TOTALLY different personalities suddenly (compared to the prequel). The story writing is hideous and irritating. There’s no real progress in the game... You will walk away from this game with a frown of disgust 100% guaranteed. What an immense waste of time and money. DO NOT BUY THIS GAME AT ALL. YOU WILL ONLY BE LET DOWN… Expand

The environments are well defined and the lighting is gorgeous. Let's get to the crucial part ... The story. I admit I was a little skeptical when a second chapter was announced, considering the last of us finished with part one. Starting to play it I changed my mind from the first minutes. Neil Druckman and Halley Gross were able to give us a following worthy of his name. A truly wonderful writing job. The game has been highly criticized even before its release, believing some facts of history wrong etc. I am referring to all those who say that history sucks. If things don't go the way we want it doesn't mean it's wrong or sucks. The last of us part 2 is an experience that must be absolutely lived. I would also like to congratulate Anthony Newman and Kurt Margenau for the direction of the game and to the whole Naughtydog team and family. Thanks go to the sound design department for all the incredible sound effects and finally to Gustavo Santaolalla for the incredible soundtrack and to Mac Quayle for all the other compositions.     Me gustó mucho, la historia va de acuerdo a lo que me esperaba. A pesar de los giros de trama, los acepto porque tienen coherencia en la trama. Los gráficos son hermosos, la jugabilidad es un pequeño paso adelante si has jugado el primer juego.

Es un muy buen juego su jugabilidad es excelente y el soundtrack una belleza pero lo que más me molesta es el final del juego, Por que le perdonarás la vida a la persona que mato a tu imagen paterna,tu mejor amigo, dejo inválido a Tommy y le quitó un ojo y todavía te quita dos dedos y aún así le perdonas la vida osea por qué todo el viaje que te toco pasar todas las peleas, gordinflones,etc para que al final no cumplas con tu venganza osea un final pésimo para un exelente juego… Expand

    Such bad game ever i experience ( bad story line long cutscene and very bad ending) over all they lied about playable characters they tricked us to making money on our shoulders. I don't recommend the game at all

    I can't understand why this game getting so much hate. The game can't get a rating under 5/10 cause alone the gameplay, grafik and performance push it minimum to 5/10 even if the story is bad (i like the Story and i feel what they want to tell us about brutality). Everything under 5/10 is just hating

    The last of us part 2 doesn’t deserve the hate it’s getting. I believe if the game wasn’t leaked and people gave it a fair chance most people would have enjoyed it. Most of the negative reviews are from people who haven’t played the game and watched hateful videos and streamers complaining about it. It has stunning graphics, which was expected, but the mechanics feel dated, the story becomes unbearable when the Abby part comes along, and the characters are not fully developed. It also forces its way into you liking Abby, with no success for me. The ending with Ellie forgiving Abby was anti-climatic after you spend the game killing people to get to that point. It was a let down to say the least.… Expand

But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
