There are several moments of actual terror and good jump scares. The story makes you think of the consequences of your actions especially when it comes to revenge. How many times have we murdered without thinking about it. In this game we see both sides and end up feeling empathy for both sides. I loved it from start to finish i really did.… Expand

It’s really an experience that’s all about perspective. However, in my opinion, a great deal of empathy is required to fully enjoy it. In terms of gameplay and pacing, it’s truly a harrowing journey which sometimes will feel like a never-ending series of encounters. For me, it made me treasure the rare peaceful moments even more. The combat system was really well done, making you feel every hit you take and dish out, melee or otherwise. Definitely would recommend getting this game, just for the sheer whirlwind of emotion it puts you through. Please ignore the bad reviews and give this game a chance.     Acho que só jogando para poder dizer se gostou ou não. Gameplay maravilhosa, historia envolvente, por mais que vc não goste de algumas partes vc se sente preso na historia para ver como ela vai se desenvolver, o jogo te mantem interessado do começo ao fim e traz experiencias inéditas. Sem falar nos gráficos maravilhosos.
    Não me arrependo da compra.

    talking serious, that game (for me) it is one of those games that you play (or watch) and when it's over you question your own reality and you change your perspective of your own world. sure it is a real masterpiece.

    I will not spoil this game. It is incredible how seamless the story transitions are handled. There’s a tactile, visceral quality to this polished masterpiece. You feel each pain, each passion articulated through pointed dialogue and beautiful affection from the characters.     I think the game doesnt deserve the hate cuz u have to play a (by the community) hated character. They changed it into an good and thinkable end.

    One more think: After playing this game it made me really think about it after this ending. Feels like some Love.

    There is nothing "poor" about the story in this game. The story is harsh and brutal in every sense. At times it's very uncomfortable to watch but that doesn't make it "bad" or "poor". Quite the contrary. This game manages to evoke very strong emotions in the player. Some of them are negative and/or confusing but that's exactly the point. In my opinion, down the line this game will be remembered as one of the great milestones in gaming.     Since its release in 2013, The Last of Us has firmly held a place on my podium as one of the best games of all time. Having played through the first instalment 7 or 8 times over the years whilst I patiently waited for the Part II, its fairly safe to say that my expectations for The Last of Us: Part II were extremely high and I was NOT disappointed… What a masterpiece! Harrowingly beautifulSince its release in 2013, The Last of Us has firmly held a place on my podium as one of the best games of all time. Having played through the first instalment 7 or 8 times over the years whilst I patiently waited for the Part II, its fairly safe to say that my expectations for The Last of Us: Part II were extremely high and I was NOT disappointed… What a masterpiece! Harrowingly beautiful and shockingly captivating to the end. I never read reviews on a game until I have completed it, so when I learnt from a follower whilst streaming the end to our macabre journey last night, that the game had been completely bombed by reviews, I was stunned. Having now read a heap of reviews, a number of which came in just a hours after the games release, despite the game requiring 20-30 hours of gameplay; I feel it is imperative that the game receives the ratings it deserves. So here we go… (N.B. - Completed on Survivor Mode).

    The gameplay is excellent. A solid 3rd person view that sits in sweet spot to behind the character, not being to close to obstruct and not so far as to make distant targets hard to see and camera angles are reasonably flexible. Aiming and shooting were pretty standard for a modern 3rd person shooter. The enemies AI was outstanding, just when you thought you had their pathing worked, they would change it up on you as you got closer or moved to get a better angle. Enemy ‘tells’ were subtle and sometimes hard to gauge, making melee combat that bit more difficult (which is good). This leads me to probably my biggest pain point for the game… I expected it to be harder, particularly given that when selecting ‘Survivor’ you are prompted with a warning advising against selecting this difficulty on your first playthrough. In terms of music, the scoring for this game is in my opinion without rival from any game to-date (think this comment speaks for itself).
    The graphics are stunning, despite the developer’s limitations on the PS4’s out-of-date hardware. It would have been amazing to see the potential with say, NVIDIA’s Ray Tracing. The environment is beautiful, amazing land and cityscapes that were well bordered so that you weren’t frustrated by the fact that the character was stopped by a brick on the ground that they could easily step over to move past into the area that lay beyond. Character design was excellent, even though it was obvious from the outset that developers had revisited Ellie’s appearance to remove further confusion between our protagonist and the actress, Ellen Page. Also, the design of Abby’s military muscle build was an admirable shift from the typical sexy/beautiful female characters, that screams “this game was designed by men”. That of course leads me to the final and most controversial point of the game, the story. (Warning: Spoilers ahead) As a true fan of the original instalment, I cannot fathom how people are attacking the story. Given that a large number of the negative reviews came hours after the games release, perhaps people were annoyed by an intro that was not huge on information, but what good thriller ever divulges the plot upfront. Jovial Ellie is now an emotional teenager with ‘daddy’ issues and as we learn, rightfully so. We are also confronted right at the start with a scene similar to the ‘Glen & Negan’ moment from TWD, were we come to terms that our hero from the last story will not play a significant part going forward; just as the ‘Glen & Negan’ scene did, this likely lost peoples interest going forward, but hey.. death is a part of life. As the story progresses flashbacks help stitch together the events of the past 4 years for Ellie and we are forced to understand that there are different sides to every story, as we play through the eyes of our new anti-hero, Abby. Was it the story I expected? No… but it was a story of loss, heartache and revenge (with a serving of PTSD), which quite frankly makes sense for kids raised in a brutal post-apocalyptic world. Did the developers make our little Ellie a lesbian? Yes… But seriously, it is 2020 people, it is time to move on. There were of course bits that frustrated me with the way the story went, but that’s to be expected given that the story didn’t go the way I expected. Being forced to play as Abby in the theatre annoyed me, as I wasn't sold on her redemption yet, and found myself occasionally run at Ellie just to see her blow a hole in Abby’s face. The end also left me wanting, But expect this was purposeful to set up a potential Part III (i.e. Fireflies and Ellie's wish to save humanity).

    If you have not yet played the game or finished it; I implore you to STOP, get off this site, go to your local store, buy the game and complete it with an open-mind. Decide for yourself. At the end of the day, whilst this is a darker story, it now easily sits side by side with the first instalment on my podium as one of the top games of all-time.    … Expand

Ho giocato per la seconda volta questo titolo, adesso ho le idee chiare e senza dubbi lo definisco uno dei punti più alti di tutta la generazione di videogiochi in assoluto. Ha una storia semplice ma non scarna di colpi di scena, che quando ci sono, sono molto convincenti. Il gameplay è solamente migliorato dal primo capitolo, rimanendo comunque molto simile. Dopo la prima run, sono rimasto perplesso dopo il finale.
    P.S. Da ora partono gli spoiler...
    Parlando del finale, mi sarebbe molto piaciuto vedere Ellie uccidere Abby e diventare quindi una persona che durante tutto il gioco viene lentamente consumata dalla vendetta, questo lo dimostra proprio il finale, quando, Abby legata ai pali viene liberata da Ellie, ma quest'ultima non vuole spezzarla, distruggerla da impotente, Ellie vuole combattere e trovare un senso ancora più grande nella sua vendetta, che però viene sporcata dal ricordo che Ellie ha di Joel. Detto questo, vorrei cercare di far capire alla gente che mette 0 per provocazione o per il semplice motivo che odia il gioco, che se mettete 0 o magari 1 o 2 perchè la trama vi fa schifo, dovreste sapere che quello a cui giocate è un "VIDEOGIOCO" non un film, perché anche se il gioco non avesse il supporto di una trama bellissima, anzi una trama orribile e stupida (cosa che, ripeto, non è) sarebbe comunque un gioco di altissimo livello, con un gameplay molto bello, una grafica spettacolare e altri piccoli dettagli che comunque contribuiscono a rendere un gioco quello che è, perché The Last of Us è un gioco notevole    … Expand

Сильной пропаганды лгбт не увидел, да и рейтинг у игры 18+, что как бы намекает, что игрок играющий в неё уже должен быть сформированным как личность и не поддаваться на несвойственные ему внушения, как это сейчас происходит на данном сайте. But if you are going to show him in the trailers making it seem that he will be interacting with Ellie a lot and "not letting her do this on her own" then you are straight up lying and involving the story with the trailers, which is very weak for the writers to need support from. Secondly, the big bad new infected that they didn't want to spoil is just a bigger bloater that creates a smaller infected, and you only fight it once. There is no surprise there and the original bloater actually challenged me more. It did look cool tho. But that is all I'm giving the game points for: looking pretty. In the first game when I messed up a stealth section I was actually excited to work through it. In the sequel however I felt like I just wanted to get over it due to the repetitive encounters. Over all I respect naughty dog for attempting something so ambitious. But man did they pull a game of thrones on this game. I feel that asking for a refund for this game is kind of ridiculous because of how much effort went in to it. But man if naughty dog is just going to lie to us and make it boring for 20+ hours I think we deserve our money back. The product is not what the marketing promised on. Neil druckman said people will not like the direction of the story ect. and that is fair, but what he should have said is don't buy the game if you believed out trailers.     did i bawl my eyes out when joel died? Yes. Did I think he was killed off way too fricking early? Yes. Do i think they were pushing their leftist propaganda? No. Do i like Neil CukMann? No. Did i think the sex scene added nothing to the story and that they could have just be in bed after, like with Ellie and Dina? Yes. Did I hate how they tried to humanize Abby after every single thing she’s done? Yes. But did i end up kinda being okay with her character? Unfortunately. Were the fingers being bitten off necessary? I mean i thought she was still good at playing the guitar, so prolly not. Did i enjoy the new mechanics? Yeah sure, i actually thing being able to break windows makes things a bit more interesting. Should the abby chapters be shorter? Yes. Did it make any sense to humanize yet another enemy (scars)? NO, looking at you Owen, get outta here with ur world peace ass. I mean the only reason I’m giving this a 10 is because i want people to watch streams/playthroughs or just simply play it themselves and decide if it’s a shetshow I personally would’ve given the game a 7/10 but because they made me wait 7 years for this, because they forced me to play as Abby before we knew anything about her and because they killed off Joel too early on,,, i’m giving the game a 5/10.

    I’d also suggest peeps would stop saying it’s shet and post golf memes (they’re big pp memes btw) and instead be more articulate as to why you hate the game. Because people like Troy Baker are getting discredited alongside the game. Also YOU ALREADY KILLED JOEL WHY KILL OFF JESSE??? TBH I THINK DINA SHOULDVE DIED AND JESSE SHOULD’VE LIVED.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I finished my first play through last night at 32 hours. The games environment is stunning, the story was one of the best I’ve played. The twist and turns of an emotional heavy campaign, had me on the edge of my seat & my heart rate up. Originally I wanted to kill Abbie more than anything, after the traumatic scene with Joel. I couldn’t wait to get revenge on the team. As Ellie works through, Nora, Owen the pregnant Mel, you can’t help but feel for them. Then their deaths dawns on you, when the shoes are on the other foot as you playthrough as Abbie, suddenly you don’t want them to die, Abbie herself I ended up warming to her character. As you play fetch with Bear & take Alice on your mission. The little moments that you find yourself smiling. The part where you run into the aquarium & the truly horrific scene of Alice (the dog) lying motionless in a pool of blood on the floor, the room where Owen & Mel lay, it hits you differently. It really is a dark brilliant written revenge story & nobody wins. Story aside, The games attention to detail is phenomenal, the world seems truly alive. The combat mechanics are something else. Every kill with every weapon truly feels different in each environment, never has a game made me struggle to kill, but I genuinely hated killing the dogs. (I’m a dog person) The soundtrack is amazing. The Gameplay on Scar island might just be the most impressive thing I’ve ever done on a PlayStation console.

    In summary for me this game is nothing short of a masterpiece. It’s a must play for yourself, even if you’ve heard spoilers. Turn your sound up high & just enjoy.    … Expand

    This is truly a masterpiece in modern day game development. Everything, from audio, visuals, storytelling, gameplay is excellent. It really is worth experiencing for yourself, regardless of what others might feel about it. Naughty Dog's knack for storytelling and amazing attention to detail have delivered one of - if not the best gaming experiences to date.

Ich freue mich auf viele weitere spielstunden und hoffentlich kommende dlcs, ich habe bisher noch keinen einzigen Bug gefunden außer hier und da mal einen kurzen Textur Fehler aufgrund einer versehentlich falschen Bewegung! PS: ich finde es abartig das hier manche aufgrund von politisch oder persönlichWie auch der erste Teil, ein top Spiel mit atemberaubender Grafik und Atmosphäre! Ich freue mich auf viele weitere spielstunden und hoffentlich kommende dlcs, ich habe bisher noch keinen einzigen Bug gefunden außer hier und da mal einen kurzen Textur Fehler aufgrund einer versehentlich falschen Bewegung! Following the leak, people of the Internet rose up to call out The last of us 2 for having a agenda. The introduction of Abby made those people lose their mind and the game was boycotted. (Fun fact: Abby is not trans like those people thought, she's just swole as hell and I love it!). Being a fan of the first game, I think it was only fair to give Naughty dog a chance and try out the game before judging. Not only was there no "agenda", the leak mislead people to think it was a way bigger deal than it is. Now the game is very similar to the first one, it plays almost the same and I don't think it is a revolution of gaming. As for the story, it is a pretty standard vengeance story. It even worried me while playing that it would be all it had to offer. I was wrong. I won't say too much as this game as it should be played the most blind possible.

    If this whole drama surrounding the leaks taught me anything, It's that you should make your own mind about games. Play it for yourself, or if you are reluctant, watch a play-through. I can say without hesitation that if the leaks didn't happen, this game would have the same user score as the critics. If you were a fan of the first one, the second opus is for you.    … Expand

    As a huge fan of the original Last of Us game, and most of Naughty Dog's games in general, getting all the way through this game was painful and confusing. So many of the decisions in the game's pacing, writing, and characterizations are just so far from what you would expect from a company like Naughty Dog. A lot of people either have not played or are trolls either way, you need to play the game in full to really experience how wonderful it is, you are all mad about joels death and about the game being more inclusive with showcasing diverse characters but thats another thing that makes the game so good, and people who are mad about that are just bigots, shut the hell up and enjoy this masterpiece, yes the ending is unfavourable but it opens up the oppurtunity for another installment in the series which druckman hinted at, its not joels story anymore, its about ellie now and you all knew that from the beginning and we knew joel would probably die so stop complaining, you are all boring as hell, its a good game, it was the right choice for the story continuing and it was joels time, but its not like you dont see joel, there lie plenty of opportunities to see him, calm down, and play the game in full before you give it bad reviews, its not for everyone sure but its pointless to ignore the rest of the game just cause you dont like one part.… Expand

It's almost no different than the first one, barely any improvement in this section. Soundtrack is on par just like the predecessor and the acting is good but the dialogue feels forced. And the elephant in the room, the story. From the first two hours we see a shift in Ellie, Joel and Tommy, as if they are not the same characters that were before. Having Joel die so early on and with such meaningless is very disrespectful to the character and it does nothing else than to shock the audience. Then forcing to play as Abby. That character feels forced into the story, trying to empathise with her but all it does is taking away the interest of the player in going forward into the story. Lastly the ending. We are forced to go on a path of revenge as Ellie for almost 25 hours only to kill everyone that had less to do with Joel's death but the story leaves the killer get away with the murder and leave the main protagonist with nothing. The story doesn't satisfy the players at all and all it does is leaving us betrayed and disappointed for struggling to rech the end of the tale. For a story driven game it fails in comparison with the first The Last of Us and if the story doesn't clicks, then it's hard to enjoy it especially that the gameplay is outdated.… Expand

Our protagonist, Ellie is someone who isn’t without flaws and shortcomings but is a great representation for all the characters in this game in that they’re people trying to survive in a world that despite being unbelievable is portrayed in a very real light. She’s not one note but rather complex and thought out. The same can be said for most of the characters within the game. The story and it’s themes are without question one of (if not the) most daring ever put to the screen. The gameplay is responsive, visceral, quick and plays out with some of the most intensely satisfying action set pieces seen within the video game sphere. Some have said it is repetitive and to that I can only say that during my personal play through I found each encounter was filled with an array of options, tactics, and ideas I couldn’t wait to integrate. The gameplay won’t let you slack as the enemies are some of the most impressive ever seen; they communicate, are lethal, and the player has to think quickly to make it out of every battle. The graphics are unprecedented. The time spent capturing scenes, sets, atmospheres, etc. was plentiful and always worth it. There were more than a few times in which I simply had to stop to take it all in. I will always remember the first time I played though this game because It marks a true change in what I thought was possible graphically. All that being said, I write this as someone who idealistically doesn’t agree with every creative decision and character along the way. But from an objective standpoint the overall experience offered by The Last of Us Part 2 is one that without question is a brilliant, masterclass in video game design. At the end of the day, this Is a game that is breaking new grounds on every front: story, characters, gameplay, graphics, etc. I advise anyone and everyone to give it a try if able, regardless of any pre conceived notions or leaks. Ao conhecermos a perspectiva de Abby, sentimos raiva e nos perguntamos o por que de estarmos sendo forçados a ver o lado da então "vilã" e ao longo da história percebemos que Abby não é vilã, na verdade, ela é muito parecida com Ellie e Joel, para mim, ver a cena em que ela tira a vida de Joel de um ângulo diferente, só me prova que logo após o ato, ela não sente alívio, não sente nada. Ao longo da gameplay ela conhece Lev e Yara e assim como Joel, torna aquilo o motivo dela viver, e numa breve conversa com Lev, demonstra culpa por algo que ela fez, e sim, gosto de acreditar que Abby se arrepende de ter buscado vingança.… Expand

    Really enjoyed the game it. Story was great, ending seemed a bit pointless. Not a fan of the combat and loot system. As it basically forces one way to play each fight (sneak) which gets boring. However the game is one of the best looking games i've played. Don't listen to reviews play the game its worth the money in my opinion.

    Un juego muy interesante el cual te hace reflexionar mucho con respecto a las acciones de cada personaje, nos pone en el supuesto de cada personaje para saber el porqué actúa de esa manera. Por otro lado, cabe felicitar el soundtrack, gameplay, en realidad, todo. Un juego totalmente recomendado!! Saludos.

    Naughty Dog have created a well crafted world filled with great characters and story lines. The graphics and attention to detail they have achieved on a console should be commended. You simply won't find a better looking game this generation. Soundtrack is also a highlight.

    TLOU2 it's entirely an artwork. The history and gameplay goes more deep than a regular story, you contact with the characters, the environment, and the gameplay. Few videogames (not to say if this is the only one) can make you emotionally and physically connect along the whole gameplay. Really an artwork! 10/10.

    The story is daring and surprising and I can see why people are disappointed in the story.
    For me, it is still a great game. Amazing graphics, challenging game-play and a lot of brutality makes this a game worth playing. I enjoyed every minute of it and certainly is one of my favorite games for PS4.

Toutes les personnes qui sont énervés pour la mort de Joël, qu'il n'a pas eu une mort "mémorable", on est dans un monde apocalyptique plein de monde meurt de la même manière que celle de Joël.
    Et si vous pensez que Abby est la méchante et que c'est n'importe quoi qu'il nous la font jouer, vous avez rater tout le sense du jeu, il n'y a pas de méchants ou de héros.
    Ellie et Abby font exactement la même chose, vous ne pouvez pas dire que Abby est pire que ellie ou inversement.     Destaque para a violência gráfica, o realismo é incrível. Quando vamos modificar as armas, tiveram muito capricho aos detalhes, assim como em praticamente tudo no jogo, é bem caprichado (animações, expressões faciais, sons, etc.)

    A ambientação do jogo é excelente. Agora sobre a história que é o ponto polêmico do jogo, achei algumas coisas forçadas, algumas decisões questionáveis.. achei que poderiam ter seguido por outro caminho, mas EU, não achei ruim. Mas ainda acho a história do primeiro, bem melhor.

    Não acho justo dar uma nota baixa para o jogo apenas levando em consideração a história, mesmo que eu tivesse achado ela um lixo (o que não achei), porque existem outros fatores para serem avaliados, afinal, é um jogo.     Just finished. 30 hours of fantastic gameplay. Story with no happy ending just in the real world. This is not a game for kids absolutely. But if You believe that world is complex, and force is not the only option, it is beautiful story to go through. You will feel anger, compassion, fear, adn glimpse of adventure. I will wait a while, but I am sure I will go through it another time.

You should only listen to the user reviews and not the paid metascore users who gives it 10/10 just because they got paid to do it. My final review 0/10. I would rather be stuck on the moon all alone for three decades than play 1 minute more of this game.… Expand

    I rarely post about bad games, but wow!! Save your money!! Generally, I play games like this for the story. As long as it is a decent story line, I’m pretty happy and the hours of entertainment justifies the cost. This game however, was just not entertaining in the least.

    This game is a true brilliant masterpiece. A great story of vengeance and unstoppable circle of violence. Characters are cool and it is quite easy to empathize with them and even to believe that all of them are real people.

    Horrible. Sacrifices story. Characters chemistry is horrible. Feels manufactured. I also hate how you can’t criticize this game without a swarm of SJW’s trying to get you fired for simply disagreeing with them.

    GOTY!!!! This is actually the best game I have ever played on PS4. Naughty Dogs took a huge risk ans they litteraly killed it. The mix between forgiveness and vengeance makes it even more interesting. Bad reviews are made by haters lmao

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Truly one of the greatest games I have ever played. A masterpiece in storytelling just like the first. In some ways it doesn’t have quite the same charm in areas, but thats to be expected from a sequel in all fairness.

    Fun and tense combat sequences, with large areas to loot and discover secrets of the past. The rapid changes in pace make for a nail biting and experience that was a pleasure to behold.

    Some criticisms I do understand, others are unfair in my opinion. But to me at least, this was a 10/10 game. I enjoyed it wholeheartedly from start to finish.

    My own personal nitpick is that I would’ve liked to play more as Ellie, and cut down on Abby. Nothing against her as a character, but Ellie is the one I’ve come to the game for.    … Expand

    Narrativa fenomenale e colpi di scena che si mantengono per tutta la durata del gioco. Meccaniche uguali al primo capitolo, ma con delle piccole modifiche e aggiunte che lo rendono ancora meglio. La storia è molto toccante, originale, grazie anche alla recitazione di un livello altissimo.

    just finished the campaign, took me 4 days to even complete and i have to say, the game is absolutely beautiful and game play is a MASTERPIECE however the story is absolutely stupid. i did not like playing as the villan as they try to **** constantly try to make her seem as the victim, it pisses me off more how the developers are even more blind to the rants. They just call everyone homophobes that hates playing as abby when infact, no one can like abby and nor does anyone want to play as a villianous unlikeable character. absolute horrible story telling with this character and lies were told. Neil even said the game would be about Joel and Ellie, but instead its about abby and her naive story. it also sucks how games de-femanize females to make them "strong" when infact its the other way around. you can have boobs and still be strong. games with movements like this are almost calling themselves homophobes in a way. I hate that joel even saved her life, but she still ignored that. The story is a mess and i dont want to play as **** abby for 10 hours. Random ass character without any real decent backstory or likeable qualities.

    also realized i had trouble leaving a negative review. however i am able to, but when i leave a negative review it only bumps the positive scoring up... interesting.. hope a youtuber see's this and notices this and brings this to light ( Sorry new to english still :) )

    also notice how everyone giving a 10/10 sounds exactly the same? some in Russian? interesting...    … Expand

    The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

    Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
