A trilha sonora é simplesmente sensacional (Gustavo Santaolalla não deixa nada a desejar), a ambientação é impecável, os gráficos muito bem trabalhados e o level design complexo e bem planejado (mas isso vocês já sabem). A história do jogo é simplesmente incrível, mostrando que há sempre dois lados de uma mesma moeda, e é por isso que devemos aplaudir o estúdio e os roteiristas de The Last Of Us II. Criar uma personagem como a Abby não é coisa simples. Vemos a personagem simplesmente destruir o protagonista do primeiro jogo e, em um primeiro momento, a raiva é inevitável, mas é aí que o game surpreende. Forçar o jogador a utilizar uma pessoa com que ele não compactua é simplesmente genial. Somos obrigados a analisar uma outra perspectiva e visão de mundo, dessa vez na pele do grupo de antigos vagalumes. Após jogar com a abby, criei uma empatia pela personagem e percebi que tomar partido em um universo tão complexo é algo extremamente precipitado. A profundidade da narrativa mostra que não existe coisa como bem ou mal e que sempre há dois lados de uma mesma moeda. A empatia com Abby é inevitável, a ponto de no final do jogo você torcer tanto para ela, quanto para a Ellie. Não estávamos preparados para tal jogo (como as reviews negativas apontam).… Expand

    The closest to human a game ever reached. Everything here is cruel, raw and evil, and it looks like what the world would turn into if society crumbled. It's not about Ellie or Joel or Abby: it's about survival and vengeance. I can't express how surprised and shocked I was with every detail on this game. The visuals, the environment, the cast, the creatures tell the story of a terrible fateThe closest to human a game ever reached. A forma como tudo se desenvolveu nessas quase 30hrs de jogo foi avassalador, foram inúmeros cenários, ambientes, situações, personagens que ganharam protagonismo de forma bem construída, tive tanta empatia, euNunca tive a mesma experiência de jogo como tive com Tlou parte 2, foi algo quase palpável, foi intenso, foi um misto de emoções que poucos conseguem trazer ao jogador nesse nível. A forma como tudo se desenvolveu nessas quase 30hrs de jogo foi avassalador, foram inúmeros cenários, ambientes, situações, personagens que ganharam protagonismo de forma bem construída, tive tanta empatia, eu desejei e torci tanto, eu vivi a proposta, foi incrível mais do que posso dizer, é um salto gigantesco e corajoso por parte da Nauthg Dog, eu ainda estou muito chocada e emocionada pela oportunidade de ter jogado isso, eu espero que essa seja realmente uma porta aberta para novos jogos com essa perspectiva "mente aberta", jogos inclusivos que atinjam a todos.     I did not enjoy playing the game, mainly because I hated the character of Abby and because this game doesnt need to exist. The gameplay feelt a bit clunky sometimes and if I am honest the story was actually pretty boring.

    Also things like character development were pushed into the Backround. I will praise the game for things like: Graphics, sound design, acting, and Top tier animation.    I did not enjoy playing the game, mainly because I hated the character of Abby and because this game doesnt need to exist. The gameplay feelt a bit clunky sometimes and if I am honest the story was actually pretty boring.

    Also things like character development were pushed into the Backround. I will praise the game for things like: Graphics, sound design, acting, and Top tier animation.

    Another thing that annoyed me was the amount of false advertising, for example, in the trailer we see Joel saying the Line "You think I would let you do this on your own?" but that whole scene and Dialog was spoken by Jesse in the Final game. They kill a beloved character, wich is ok, but it needs to be done in a way that makes sense for their character arc and story, the only reason Joel died was for Ellie to get a reason to kill abby, and it didnt belong into his arc.

    For me a Sequel needs to justify its existence, this game did NOT justify its existence. And the game needs to take what the First game made great and improve it. A prime example for that is Doom Eternal. This game is gameplay-whise pretty much a clunkier version of the first game. So for me it fails as a sequel.

    I dont want to talk about the story, there are enough reviews about it, its not a good story and the rest you can read in other reviews.

    The ending is really bad. Ellie is left without anything and broke her promise to Tommy, Abby is alive, all the characters from the First game are dead, the few good characters in this game are Dead, and the game is just a setup for a new sequel. Ellie walks off : Alone, broken, a completely different person and unlikeable. Nothing was resolved, Joel's death was not done correctly. Abby's complete story and "love" story is pointless. Its not good

    Just imagine if the story was Ellie tracking down Abby and with time seeing her point of view and the same with abby. Then the ending would make a lot more sense

    I played Dishonored, a game about revenge. However, I spared Daud despite the fact he killed the Empress, the love interest of your character, and kidnapped your child. I did this because I heard his monologue about how much he regretted it. A speech to himself with nothing to prove to anybody else. Even when you meet him he doesn't beg for his life because he knows he deserves it. That's good writing. The problem here is that the Empress had little player connection, unlike Joel. So when you off a character by means of slapping fans in the face, of course they're going to get pissed. I don't think Abby necessarily deserved to die. I just think Joel was killed in a way that didn't do the fans service.

    I am tired of companies that don't care about their Fanbase. It seems like we only get trash games, and that good games are a rareity. Most of the sequel's we get are cashgrabs that use the name and good reputation of the first game. And if people keep giving this kind of Trash good reviews, the gaming industry wont change, But it needs to change. Sony made the best games in the last decade, but that seems to be over now. Lets hope Spieder-man Miles morales is good........

    The best game ever. Abby's character is great. The storytelling cannot be any better. However, i would have enjoyed it more if I knew I would be playing as Abby beforehand.

    Today, I completed TLOU 2 for 2nd time. This is the fkin deepest game I've ever played. Story is amazing. The gameplay is flawless. I love new characters. And I love that the game is courageously brutal (like GOT). My favorite game ever. 10/10.

    Best and most well done aspect of the first game was characters and story, which completely missed the mark this time. Played thoroughly, got 31 hrs out of the game. So disappointed in the decline from such a great first game, have to take an extra mark off for that    … Expand

    Great graphics, facial expressions, animations and sounds, I hope someday to see these technologies in a real game.

    I don't like TLoU: Part I, actualy i think the first part is overrated and this is just a good game.
    But TLoU: Part II is great, I made a short list of "+" and "-". What's good: + Grafics + Animations + Art design + Cutscense and actors + Gameplay, much deeper stealth, perks and custmizetion for weapon + Exploring + Allote of different arens for    Be me, Eastern Europe, Ukraine.

    +/- Game is really long ( id like it, but if you try to play 24/7 you will be tiered and lost interested)
    Now what's bad in this game:
    - Some characters had not so much screentime
    - Encounters with infected is not so interested

    So i guess thats all.

El personaje de Abby es pèsimo, una "mujer" con mùsculos de Schwarzenegger y fuerza de Hulk que aparte de haber matado al personaje mas entrañable de la manera mas cruel, mata zombies a puñetazos..? que estpudèz. Hay que bancarse 13 hs de ese personaje insoportable, y ni hablar del final. No pidan que hagamos una interpretaciòn para simpatizar con la historia, la impresiòn que da es muy mala.     If this is what people's idea of a bad game is, then I'm happy to say I have **** taste and I want more.

    I am absolutely amazed by the game's graphic, sound, battle system, art style, map design, enemy AI. And also the new method of story telling that challenges what made the 1st game great, some people may hate the game for it, but to me it is actually the best part of the game.     While I love the game, i will admit it is not perfect. I did notice some elements through out the gameplay that I instantly knew will displease some players (myself included), but the amount of hate towards the game was not expected at all.
    But again, some of the things that people disliked did not even occur to me during the gameplay.

    Anyway, as someone who loved the first game and also managed to love this one, I really think it is a game that everyone should give it a go.    … Expand

How can you spend 6 years making a game and you don’t realize that you’re making an awful story. 4 people write this story. 4. What a joke. A 5 year old would have wrote a better story. First, you kill Joel, the most likeable character of TLOU1. Then they make us play with her killer, and not only that but they try to make us sympathize with her. What the hell were they thinking? Like no one cares about her, and her “redemption” story. Abby’s character is poorly written too like the whole game. I’ve never seen a person change her whole mindset in 48 hours. It’s unbelievably poor. Cheap and lazy writing.

    Then...none of the characters are likeable, not a single one. The only likeable left was Tommy and they didn’t give the importance that he deserved, and then at the end of the story he just disappears like he was no one.

    The new characters and their sub-stories are really boring and they’re just an excuse to make the game longer. The ending is one of the worst endings I’ve seen in my life. The whole story never makes sense, like Abby and Ellie kill a bunch of people that have nothing to do with them but when they can kill each other to get their “revenges”, all of a sudden they get all pacifist and let each other live. It’s not the story about revenge or what? What kind of **** “revenge” is that?

    What bothers me the most is people trying to bring deep thoughs or get into the psychology of the characters to justify that the story is good. The story is anything but deep. It’s a plain story that’s been told many times before, but very poorly executed. Go play GTAIV and you will see what a good revenge game is.

    A story that is not believable within the game's own logic will never be a good story. TLOU2 has a lousy story that is filled with bad decisions and executions. I give a 1 out of 10 to the story. Despite all the love I have for the first game, this one seems like it’s not a sequel at any time and is an insult to the original story.    … Expand

It's so unlike the first game you should just change the name of this because it's not a sequel it's a disgrace. Totally disappointed, this is why Sony needs offer refunds for trash like this.

    Sin lugar a dudas el juego a nivel visual y graficos es un 10/10. Pero el problema aqui es la historia. Cabe destacar que no tengo ningun problema con el hecho de incluir a personas con orientaciones sexuales distintas, pero en esta historia se lo ve muy forzado, como queriendo resaltar en todo momento que existen mujeres lesbianas y personas trans, cosa que todos ya sabemos ,y no hace falta que lo esten remarcando casi todo el tiempo.
    En cuanto a la muerte de uno de los personajes principales (Joel), me parecio muy evidente que se lo querien sacar de encima para inventar una simple historia de venganza, en donde ademas ni siquiera nos podemos vengar de la horrorosa muerte de Joel. Cosa que para mi gusto una forma de morir que termina siendo injustificada por dos motivos: Uno de ellos es que Joel le salva la vida a Abby, y el otro es que Joel mata al padre de Abby para poder salvar a Ellie ya que el Dr. Anderson la iba a matar por una posible cura.
    Otro de los motivos por el cual la historia no me gusto, es el hecho de forzarnos a jugar con Abby para hacernos creer que es una buena persona. Cuando en realidad la psicopata que tortura brutalmente a Joel adelante de Ellie es Abby ,y no solo eso si no que muestra una expresion de satisfaccion instantes previos a querer asesinar a Dina cuando se entera de que esta embarazada, en donde gracias a Lev, la deja vivir.
    Me parece que hubiera esta mejor logrado si luego de la muerte de Joel hubieramos podido utilizar a Ellie y a Tommy. En fin, para agregar, muchos personajes de relleno en la historia solo puestos para morir en escenas posteriores sin ni siquiera poder establecer una conexion con ellos, y misiones sin sentido puestas solo para alargar mas la historia.

The doctor who was killing her for a greater good surrendered to me and I shooted at him without a second of hesitation just to save my little girl's life. Months later I was still thinking in that, asking my real self questions I've still asking sometimes. I ended loving Ellie and her relationship with Joel (me). She was my "kiddo".

    Now this feeling is gone like ashes in the wind. I've witnessed her happily murder hundreds of people in a pointless journey for a fuzzy revenge proposal. I really don't care at all she being LGTBI. I strongly encourage games and movies to visibilize LGTBI people. People complaining about that are just a bunch of **** And, in the glorious first promising moments of the TLOU2, I really enjoyed the developers including such circumstance.

    However, in this journey, Ellie's motivations aren't clear, the surrounding characters lack in depth and the game does not produce any emotional connection with them. The oriental you-die-for-sure guy or Ellie's partner (I didn't bother to learn their names) are just plain.

    I really liked the dead of Joel in the beggining of the story. Really. I also I think is not a reason strong enough to turn my kid Ellie into the fusion of John Wick, a T-800 and some random revenge-seeker Liam Neeson's character.

    Then I hated every second played with Abby. Maybe if she just have had Joel killed but not tortured... but it was way too much since the beginning. She was right in killing Joel, but I wanted her dead. Hands down.

    It is like if, playing as Aragorn in the battle of the Pelenor fields, you would stop the movie for 10 hours to show the poor and pitifull youth of Sauron some years ago to empathize with him.

    I'm sorry because I really tried to, but I only found TLOU2 OKish. As Game of Thrones discovered one year ago, bad and rushed storytelling could ruin the best of the plots.

    Oh, and I hated, REALLY HATED to must kill the dogs and the few enemies that surrendered to me.    … Expand

    I can totally understand the user score being so low, obviously the storey is of a bitter taste and a heavy strike. But I found it is true to the heart and the storey line is completed really well, even it doesn't go where you want it go.
    I am expecting more acceptance over time. And Part 2 will be another remarkable masterpiece in the gaming history. My socre: GAME DESIGN 9 / STORY 10.

    It seems like the ones that think this game is perfect never played the 1st game. How could they not think Joel killing was just F'ed up? They are just ignoring it like they never played the 1st game. Last Jedi anyone?     What an experience ! I wish I hadn't been spoiled by kids on the internet.

    I hurt all over after playing it, but I am so glad I got to do it. And the gameplay is a treat, I restarted the game right after finnishing it.

I was racing through the story just to be done with it so I can get rid of it. Ever since I played the first last of us I loved the game and story that came with it I absolutely adored the universe but Neil had to go and ruin it with the last of us 2 I’m glad some people were able to enjoy it but the game just felt so unrewarding and messed up the whole franchise for me with the way they handled the game they could of added so much to it and made it great but they fell short for me. An example would be Joel’s death yes I get the world is crazy and anything could happen but cmon you could’ve done it better than that sorry excuse for a character death a great example of one would be lee from the walking dead I hope Neil doesn’t come back on the third installment because he just ruined the characters and their arcs feel completely pointless now.… Expand

I understand that the motive of that part of the story was to make players realise the perspective of the villain in the game.     The game looks great. Most of the game play is the same as the first one. The story does not make sense. I will not spoil it but it seams like some of the story is told out of order. If they changed the order of some things in the story and the ending it would be more believable.

    This was the worst Naughty Dog game to ever come out. The first game was masterpiece of story telling. This one was a shiny gold dipped turd. Its pretty and the controls are decent but that's where it ends. The game completely fails in the one part a single player game needs to excel and that's the story. I would recommend just not playing this. It would just be a waste of money and time.

If you never played the first game you probably will give this game a solid review but based on playing the first game would say that some of the character choices didn't fit with how the first game ran. The story also show from the trailers that they where going in multiple directions with this game and left me feeling disjointed. I currently don't see myself buying a third game of the last of us part 3 if they have one only way I would buy a third game is if they did a prequel like red dead redemption 2 where they cover the life of Joel and tess and bill and Marlene and Tommy and Ellie mother covering the last 20 years even if it includes the comic. If you have never played the fist one probably better to play part 2 first or else you probably won't feel to good about part to these are just my opinions so don't let my review stop you from buying or renting the game.     Graphics 6/10 : I know, they are awesome, but it was the minimum that ND should do, game released on the last leg of the ps4 (ps5 was announced few later), interact with the environment was a good point, break glasses, camouflage with the grass, but a lot of games had done it before, the high end graphics of this game was required, so there is nothing staggering about it.

    Music 10/10: Gustavo Santaolalla and the other people involved, was astonishing, impressive, perfect; Music keep you with tension, stressed and with the pressure of the situation and drives your feelings very well.

    Mechanics: 6/10: Nothing from out of the blue, nothing impressive a few improves, like prone, go across horizontal and vertical gaps, dodge enemy's attacks, nothing new, aiming is really BAD, stiffy as the part one, third person camera is so close, you'll receive at least 2 shots from an enemy flanking you in the time you turn the camera en locate the enemy, no improve from part 1 in that point, we can say that silencer was a good thing, but you could have done it before, like other games, crafting new menu, nothing helpful, just easier to manage, but all of this stuff could have done it on part 1.. So nothing impressive

    Story 3/10: The worst part, at least 5 year of development and all you had was.. vengeance, a lot of stuff you had to write or invent and the only thing you came up with, was the doctor's daughter taking revenge.. So worn-out; More about fireflies, Tommy's story, Joel's story after his daugther death, infection, i don't know.. but use the same argument that every single action movie use, it is so boring, lack of bond with some characters; 15 minutes of cinematographic about a marijuana lab and rate a kiss.. SERIOUSLY? there was no hook.. All story was out of core of the game purpose; Uninterested dialogues from Dinah, Interaction with Jesse was like talking to a wall or talking to a NPC from a PS1 game, awful, basically Jesse was created only the get Dinah pregnant, and Dinah was only created to make a lesbian relationship and create a image of two moms and one son.. So poorly script, story and cinematographic, no hook, just trying to keep you attached with inconsequential stories from the game..

    The game it is no bad, but we can give a high rank, cause we don't need another game from this franchise, we don't need story far away from the core, and this game it's a different tale, irrelevant, maybe if this game was named whatever but TLOU2 would it be good.    … Expand

    The last of us part 2 is the best game I've played till now. And I loved and cared for ALL the characters. It's just a piece of art that represents so many things like LGBT ppl, Love, Hate, Vengence, Violence, Forgiveness and Moving on. This is so rare in the game industry which is filled with nonsense stories and shooters.

    obviously killing joel and bringing in a freak character + that totally unneeded shoving obscure lgbt stuff down my throat makes me give a zero score. I just wanted to play a game! Get it?

    graphics and the gameplay is mostly okay though and if you can ignore that freaky sexual stuff, then go ahead.

    all the puzzles are WAY TOO EASY to solve, everything is served to you on the gold platter. mostly looking around in the same or adjacent room is more than enough to find the final clue.

    very annoying is the way ai works, all the enemies stroll on the same route, they are too predictable and the co-character always gets in my way when exploring rooms/areas or when hiding behind obstacles to attack enemies. the other character get on my way ALL THE FREAKING TIME.

    Also, too many cutscenes. TOO MANY!!! at the end of the first chapter, there are 4 cutscenes in a row, that's annoying, to say the least.

    i played it through and was hoping i can then select individual chapters and collect all the missing stuff, but as it turns out... at first all chapters were available and i started re-playing the first chapter, it then fookin thought it was a good idea to again hide all the rest of the chapters and now i have to play the whole game, all chapters in the original order again, to get 100% of the game. WTF, how did that happen? I did not do anything strange, After completing the game, I chose Story > Chapters > saw that all the chapters were playable > opened the first chapter > played it a bit > went back to main menu to choose another chapter and ... WHAM... only the first chapter Is playable.    … Expand

I wanted to break my game pad at the moment when the scriptwriters are forcing me to play for Abby. I have no empathy for this character. She is not disclosed at all.

You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.

    If you loved the original for its great characters and well-paced story – stay away from this game. However, if you’re aching to sink into the depths of depression, or just want to cut some throats and burn some zombies – Part II will deliver. [Issue#247, p.72]
