    Great game. Lots of emotional moments, beautiful graphics, and excellent background score. May make a terrible impression at first, but if you keep an open mind and actually play the game, you'll be in for a treat.

    The design is outstanding. The fighting and shooting mechanics are better than it was in the previous version (a little bit harder which fits for me). The story ending is a little bit computable. I'm sorry but on medium level the AI groups (like scars) are not so clever, probably I'll retry on hard level.
    I hope there will be a third version... :)

    Es una continuación fiel de el primero, la historia tiene huecos lo que hace que sea difícil entender el final pero una vez analizándolo de una perspectiva menos emocional, es un final digno y abierto a una continuación, si te gustan los juegos con historias inmersivas este es uno que no debe de faltar

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Amazing game. The visuals are beautiful and the game lets you see trough the eyes of the 2 characters that both suffered trough pain. The game wasn't what I was excepting and I'm glad ND didn't chose for the 'safe route', but instead chose something to think about at the end. Spending the time with companions made the game very interesting like no other game can. I did not liked the 1 on 1 fights sometimes because of the wacky fighting, or the longs before another story scenario but I was willing enough to play trough it because I was very interested in the story.… Expand

    This game is very divisive to say the least. It either lands hard or doesn’t for you. I can only say it landed beyond any measure for me. Absolute master piece.

    The game is great, only as a game. But this is a story-oriented game and the story was a mess. Very lacking in logic. Characters in the game is too deliberately whitewashed, too much "political correctness" and too much personal preference of Neil is involved in this game. Furious after I finished playing it.

    After completing the story i can safely say that it's one of the best games i have ever played.

The story is full of many plot holes and suffers from poor writing, carrying nothing from the first game and making me think the developers did not realise what made the first game so good.

    I also however appreciate the gameplay, graphics and soundtrack. I also think having lesbian characters in the game can be a help as many people will play this game but overall I am just very disappointed.to    … Expand

You may like the game if you did not play part 1 or if it’s not so important for you what’s happening in the plot and you are not going to empathize with the characters. Because they can’t empathize.     I bought a ps4 for TLOU because I heard the story was like playing a movie. I had seen the leaks for this 1 so I was skeptical, but I decided to do research and I'm glad I did. My advice is watch a gameplay before you buy cause it saved me 60 bucks. The game mechanics are the same and the story has this obvious undertone of sexism. I will not buy this game

    TLoU2 is a masterpiece, its really dark and full of emotions. There were times I didn't want to continue, but at the end I absolutely loved it. You have to experience the game for yourself and can't listen to the leaks or the 0/10 reviews. You can't even listen to the 10/10 reviews, experience it for yourself.

    Script: I understand what Druckmann wanted to get, but sometimes it didn’t work (for me, cause, in my point of view, occasionally the script has illogical parts and looks weak). Flashbacks - the best part of the game script, bravo. Gameplay: is updated gameplay of the first game.    Graphic: updated engine of Uncharted 4, that's good.
    World: a detailed world, better than in the first game.
    Script: I understand what Druckmann wanted to get, but sometimes it didn’t work (for me, cause, in my point of view, occasionally the script has illogical parts and looks weak). Flashbacks - the best part of the game script, bravo.
    Gameplay: is updated gameplay of the first game. Looks good, but a "survival" difficulty is not balanced as well as in the previous part: in the middle of the game I had the opportunity to play aggressive because I didn't face up to the situation where ammunition or supplies were running out.
    Hate and hype around the game: I wouldn't have noticed some things if the game hadn't been hated on the Internet. Think about it.

    I've just recently finished the game (took me 31 hours). I loved the gameplay and the music, the story was extremely dark, grim and depressive, but that's exactly what I expected from this universe. I enjoyed both of the campaigns, and was quite surprised by the fact that my approach towards one of the main characters completely shifted at the end (from hate to sympathy).
    The gameplay was    I've just recently finished the game (took me 31 hours).     The gameplay was an improved version of the first game, and that was fine. The horror was there and after a few notable moments I've needed short breaks in order to put myself back together.
    The visuals are stunning (possibly the best looking PS4 game), and at some of the locations I've been just admiring the environment.
    Overall 9-/10 (some story choices were... questionable to say the least).    … Expand

    There are many collectibles that reveals the story untold of that world, so pay attention to that.

    Also, if you are looking for a fairy tale happy ending story, play something else. If you're hoping for a happy ending you haven't been paying attention.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I’m writing my review here because both subreddits of the last of us have become both massive circlejerks and it’s really hard to voice out your opinion without being attacked.

    I think this game did a lot of things right. The graphics are top notch and although the game mechanics seem slightly dated it rarely took away from the experience and thrill while playing. Even the story had its good moments despite being a pretty predictable revenge plot whose moral of the story is: “Revenge Bad”. With a few tweaks here and there and it would have definitely be a 10/10 game.

    With that being said, there a few points while playing where I felt absolutely miserable. I have no problem with Abby’s figure or character at all but after she killed Joel it just made it really hard for me to have any connection with her. So playing through it for 10 hours seemed like drag. Also when Ellie coming back to try and kill Abby again and losing everything in the process seemed a little excessive and didn’t make any sense whatsoever. I get both characters who gave in to revenge lost a lot but I think Ellie lost far more than Abby has which seemed just really off putting. Of course if Ellie did kill Abby there wouldn’t be a point to the story it’ll just be a borderline misery-porn where nothing is learnt or nothing has a point.

    Of course the elephant in the room and I think why most people were upset was Joel’s death. But personally, I don’t have a problem with him dying at all. From the story standpoint, it didn’t make sense for anyone else to get killed for a story to be told. The problem is the way it was executed. He didn’t go out with a bang or protecting the people he cares for, he died in such a pathetic and helpless manner. In my opinion, Joel deserved a better death than that. It was more like he was a plot device more than a character which is such a disrespect to probably one of the most well written characters in the past decade. This isn’t the only instance where a good character gets killed in such a pathetic way: Jesse didn’t even get to fight back before he gets **** in the face. It’s pretty sad way to go when he was a good representation for Asians in gaming, as he wasn’t a walking stereotype.

    Many people claim there was an agenda in this game. Personally, I don’t have a problem with it. I like that Abby is a physically strong female character and I like the lgbtq+ representation. It’s good and progressive. If your giving a bad review based on such trivial things you should probably just grow up. There is some pretty sad excuses for representation in this game though. The main examples are a Latino guy named Manny who repeats the word “Pendejo” And “Puta” like a damn Pokemon. It’s just a pretty dated stereotype for a Latino guy to be hot tempered and say those words, so it pretty sad for a game to tries so hard to be progressive to make such a mishap. Overall, I think this game isn’t as bad as people made it out to be not is it as good and that’s such a shame for a Follow up to one of the best games of the past decade.    … Expand

This game develops characters poorly and makes already fleshed out çharacters act in a way that is convenient to the plot instead of their character. Joels interaction with a group of armed strangers sums this up pretty well. In the first game he doesnt trust an injured man in the street, but in the second he immediately trusts about 10 armed strangers with his name and location of their home. Its not believeable. Then you spend the second half playing as the çharacter who killed him in a poor attempt to generate a sense of empathy. They barely disguise the shallow attempts to show the supposed similarities between abby and ellie by having you save a zebra as abby to mirror the giraffe scene with ellie.same with her dad supposedly being a mirror reflection of joel. However, when it comes time to decide what to do with ellie the doctor wants to operate on her without her consent and without informing her of what would happen in the hopes of a making a vaccine. Which even though this is a game, they attempt to root it in reality, so most likely the attempt to develop a vaccine off of the only immune person they have ever found would fail. Its also stupid because they make this decision within 24 hours of tests. But if he were authentic they would be running tests for months, maybe years before resorting to something that drastic. Then abby chimes in saying she would want the operation if it were her. But that type of "determination" is easy to have when its not your life on the line. Anyone can say" well this is what i would do". There is even an attempt to show that ellie is just as "bad" as abby when she kills a pregnant girl by the name of mel. However, ellie did not know she was pregnant until after killing her when she rushes ellie with a knife. During abbys campaign we see that mel refuses to stay home and safe despite being glaringly pregnant, and chooses to be on the front lines, which for me diminishes the impact of her death. I wouldnt be surprised if a marine got shot, thats kinda what they signed up for. Then later on abby has a chance to kill dina, ellies lesbian love interest, who is also pregnant. Once again a poor attempt to mirror the 2. However when ellie pleads for dinas release letting abby know she is pregnant, mayve 2 months so nothing is showing yet, abby says "good" and goes to slice her throat. These 2 pregnant "killings" are in no way comparable. Ellie never took sadistic enjoyment in killing mel, and is horrified when she sees she killed a pregnant woman. Abby is practically smiing about the idea. It then ends with ellie sacrificing her happy life to finish abby off, she loses 2 fingers and then just decides to let abby go. She returns home to find that she has also lost dina and their new child as well. Dina deciding to leave before the "cycle of revenge" kills them all. Some.people have attempted to say that the bracelet on ellies hand was dinas, so it shows that she went back to dina, who now lives in jackson, and this is just her way of saying goodbye to joel and the past. However all of ellies things are still in the house. They are purposely moved into a single room, which to me is dina showing her mentally and physically removing ellie from her life. Then to top it off, because she lost those fingers, she cant play guitar anymore which was the only thing left of joel for her to remember. So no joel, no dina or happy family, and she is a bit handicapped.So no moment for ellie. Just a bunch of "ReVeNgE iS bAd" jargon that is poorly written. The best characters in this game, and one of the only redeeming qualities of it, by a mile are yara and lev. They are the most interesting people in the game and i would have loved for them to expound on the Seraphites, a religious cult in which they escape from due to lev being trans, but we only explore it in cutscenes and murals found in the world. You do get to go to their island towards the end of abbys campaign, but there isn't much exposition. Mainly just abandoned huts and one on a rail sequence through the main village. If this was its own standalone game, with no fully explained and fleshed out characters, then i think this would get a higher score. But we waited 7 years for bad mocap, cheesy and awkward sex scenes that no one needed, some bad dialogue, more glitches than the first game and a story that doesnt make any sense. They season 8 of game of thronesed it. Where characters act in a way thats convenient to the plot. Its a shame. Im sure this will get bashed as being "homophobic" or "transphobic" but if your only response to this is to attack the person who made it, then the review is accurate. Hopefully this stays up. As for me no more naughty dog stuff while neil is in charge. Gonna stick to the uncharted games and TLOU. I wouldnt recommend this game at all. I ignored leaks and wanted to see for myself. I wish i had listened. Would have saved me 60$.… Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. the game is gorgeous and the story is amazing, I think that most people saw the spoilers and played the game thinking that it was bad so when I played it I didn't know any spoilers so my expectations were good, when I saw the Joel death I was mad and I thought this game was gonna be just some revenge story but when you play with Abby you understand what is the point of the game(one of the points), the game shows compassion and that revenge is not worth it. I waited 5 years to play this and I love what it did in the game industries, this game is beyond this decade. 10… Expand

    This game never happened for me.I would suggest not to buy this game if you liked the relation from the first game because it was destroyed and was not respected at all but if it the game-play you are after it has improved but not by much and not much more was added

    I will not buy the last of us part 2 or any naughty dog game in the future. Sony and naughty dog along with the main stream media conduct about this game is so shameful . i will be showing my support by not buying any PS4 titles including the next gen PS5 in the foreseeable future..     The fact that the critic reviews are strictly 100s while the user reviews are as you would expect... reminds me of Dave Chapelle's "Sticks and Stones" special.
    The story telling is very subpar. The game is a product of cultural marxism and it is sad to see what they have done with the game.

    We open our minds completely and made an effort, but it was TOO BORING we are 32 yo! this game was for adults not for young kids, when you mature enough you want to see more and more compelling stories, because the usual doesn't entertain you anymore. And this was sooo basic, and still it was messed up.

    We already knew the ending and knowing that, 25 hours would be a waste of time.
    Luckily a friend lend me the game otherwise i wont even touch it...

    I cannot believe what they did with these beloved characters... this is definitely the darkest timeline. This, like the Sequel trilogy, I categorize as Star Wars LEGENDS. If Disney did it for themselves then I can definitely do this for myself and maybe for every other gamer that feels the same way.

Gameplay sure was improved from the previous game and is very enjoyable. Monster designs and challenges were very good also amazing boss fights. Now the story is brilliant. I can see why for many people was controversial but in my point of view was a unique and brilliant way to tell a revenge story were neither side is good or bad, both take wrong decisions and pay for it. Yes, the story is very bitter and it may be not for everyone's taste but I see the course of actions very logical and I can't see other variants of the story reaching such a ingenuous storytelling. It was a very unique experience for me as it's the best revenge story I saw. I am indeed sorry many people are not able to see what a game has to offer from a different perspective.… Expand

    I was so mad when I started to write this review I was going to give it a 0 but to be fair the graphics are fantastic, but that is about all I can say good about the game.

    I will be completely honest, I have not yet completed the game but I know how it ends from the many reviews I have read. Knowing the ending of a story does not spoil the experience for me so I often read spoilers on games and movies and still enjoy them.
    I doubt the ending will bother me as much as it seems to have bothered everyone else but I will not know that till i get there, If i get there, there are so many other things to hate about this game I don't know if I will even bother finishing it

    The game mechanics are stale at best and frustrating most of the time There is no real improvement over the first game, the crafting system is almost identical and in some ways worse. I was always full of supplies with the exception of 1 item. sometime it was tape, sometimes it was alcohol but you can bet it was always something just way to scarce on every level. It was the same with ammo.

    I get it you have to be smart with your supplies to make it thru a level but if that is what they were going for they failed, you don't have to be smart with supplies. you just have to know what they are going to be shorting you on any given level and don't use it, you will have plenty of something else to get you thru. What is the plan there? is it supposed to be fun to fail at a level and replay it once you know what supplies they will give you? it does not force you to come up with a strategy to get thru just get lucky or replay after you have the answer.

    The Infected are not hard to fight, just time consuming, the bosses on the other hand are ridiculous, for me at least it is more about luck then skill to beat them, run around and hammer them with whatever you find till they die. again no real strategy there just try try again till you find what you need to kill them.

    And for god's sake could you please continue more than 1 second before you are killed. I mean come on, If i learn i need pipe bombs or the flame thrower to kill it why cant i restart the fight with the knowledge i learned while it just killed me. No, continue smash, no time to re adjust you setup, just right back in it. They don't really let you play your own way. I like to play stealth as much as possible but you are forced to run and gun so much. they have the leveling system set up as if you can play thru the game in different ways but you really can not. you have to stealth where you have to, and you have to Rambo it in other places. no real choice.

    I fairly deep into the second 1/2 of the game ,or so I assume based on what I know, and the one thing i can tell you is who ever was in charge of character development should be brought in for a performance review.
    in truth it is not fair to blame 1 person, everyone had to know this game would be hated by the "Last of US" fans, the story and characters are so bad, no one at naughty dog could have miss it. (naughty dog in lower case on purpose, you guys and gals have a lot of work to do if you want to get a "N" and "D" from me again anytime soon). It is sad, the first game was so good, it seems improbable that the second one could be so bad.

    I played the "Last Of Us" several time. I would go back to find more hidden items or just relive the story. everyone you met in the first game had depth. you felt that the character was pulled from someones real life event or felling, It was not just Joel and Ellie, everyone in the game felt real, you loved some people, you hated others, but everyone had a reason for who they were.

    Last of Us Part II could not have been worst.
    I don't care about anyone in this game. I don't even hate anyone, It is hard to love or hate the flat cardboard cutouts they are calling characters
    Joel and Ellie are flat, there is just nothing there, if it was not for the 1st game I would not care about them either.

    Everyone else in the game is as deep and the letter or number I assume they were assigned in the story outline they should have just named them all 1.2.3 or a.b.c. There is just nothing there.

    On the up side if you cant write a good story you can always cram some woke character traits into your characters so you can call everyone a "phobe" or "hater" if they complain. making a character gay or trans is not the same as making a character real or deep, it is just a cheat,

    Before you send the woke police after me, I have nothing against gay, bi, trans or anyone for that matter (I am sorry if I forgot to mention a group everyone is loved and respected

If people didn’t get to play the first game, then this game’s story wouldn’t feel too horrible since you won’t have a reference point or any emotional connection to the lead characters. It’s such a tremendous let-down because the first game set such a high bar story-telling wise.

    The first game conveniently used McCarthy’s The Road as an “inspiration”, this game’s original story ends up ironically exposing how inadequate Neil Druckmann actually is as a story-teller.

    There are plenty of argument out there already discussing why the story is bad so I won’t dive into details but let me point to the obvious one here - how do you expect the audience to care about the characters in the 2nd half when you already *spoiler* all of them in the first?

    To be perfectly clear, I’ve got nothing against *spoiler* getting killed. The critical flaw lies in the story’s structure itself - when you can’t connect to the characters and the audience stopped caring, the 2nd half of the game felt so long and patronizing. Every single plot point felt so contrived and worked too hard seemingly trying to “influence” the choices you have no power to make in the first place.

    An easy fix would be giving this game multiple endings based on the moral choices you had to make, which shouldn’t be too hard, I’ll be happy to take just two endings - to kill or not to kill.

    On supporting characters - I don't necessarily agree you can just dismiss them. We see plenty of examples how supporting characters can truly shine and be memorable. Even in the first game - beyond Joel and Ellie’s bonding dynamic - the supporting encounters put flesh on the bone making the whole story and the world so much richer and more dimensional. If the second game is about diversity and inclusion (which I’m rooting for) Neil’s paper-thin characters really became piss-takes. Major major failure here (again, due to that stupid structure)

    On Ellie/Abby’s arc - this is exactly why I felt this game is so patronizing. *Spoiler* gets killed 30 mins into the game and you already know this is revenge story, there’s no more explanation needed for what the writer is trying to say here. Secondly if the cathartic release is about turning Abby into a likable character - it’ll have to take more than a full game to do that. She *spoiler* the lead character for FS! It took us 40 hours in the whole first game to love Joel/Ellie in the first place.

    Another case in point for Game of Thrones fans here - after the Red Wedding, how long did it take us to like Jamie Lannister? The whole entire f*&king show. And it’ll be much harder to tell Neil Druckmann’s 2nd part without the support of secondary characters, again. Hence it’s so arrogant for Neil Druckmann to assume players will buy into his BS and have a satisfying ending.

    End of the day, a good ending is NOT decided by who gets killed who gets to live, it is whether or not it is SATISFYING. I’d even go further to say that it is the storytellers RESPONSIBILITY to make it satisfying. At the end of Breaking Bad, Walter White dies - but it still is the one of the most satisfying and celebrated ending of all time. Now that’s a good story.

    I really hope that they replace Neil Druckmann with a fresh better writer to do the next game, otherwise there’s no way I’m buying his crap again.    … Expand

    Metro Exodus, which is based on the similar idea (with this I mean human relationship after apocalypses) is a positive example, providing similar or better graphics and gameplay experience.

    However TLOU2, no matter that it shocks, attracts, however you may feel cheated by creators, forced to do what you would never would like to do neither in reality, no in game, and after all leaves impression that creators wanted you to persuade into something and that obviously failed.

    I just finished the game 5 hours ago and i didn't want to do this but i need to say it. Man, if you are thinking of buying this part ll and you loved the first game, please don't. It's not worth. They just **** in all what we loved of The Last Of Us. I'm really disappointed. There'll be no way to see Naughty Dog and Neil with the same eyes I used to.

First you spent wayyyyy to much time playing as Abby, who honestly was just boring. So you have this boring character and you try to have a separate story line? Yawn. Abby literally only hears Joel and immediately kills him without knowing if thats actually the Joel she is after. There are thousands of people named Joel lmfaoo. Second of all She didn't hesitate to kill the guy who saved her. She didn't regret it. To us she didn't lose crap. Cuz her friends weren't fleshed out like that we didn't care if they died, a well written villain that you want us to sympathize with would have spent some time with Joel and have some internal conflicts after she hears his name and questions herself if this is the actual Joel she is looking for. If naughty dog really want us to relate to abby they would make us play as her at first and us as players would be like woah whose this? how is she connected to the story? Its lazy writing because all they had to do is switch up some events and flashbacks to make us fall for abby but their execution was horrible. I was never spoiled on this game I was clueless about the leaks. And I came to the game very open minded. honestly I don't mind if they killed Joel it was gonna happen sooner or later. Third of all naughty dog really made us kill that doctor that keep in mind didn't want Joel or Ellie to know to at least give them a choice of giving up Ellie . Fourth of all they could have easily avoided backlash if they at least gave us an option to kill abby at the very end. Fifth of all why does Ellie go back for revenge after losing soo many things and people to only not get the person who was responsible?, and she had a very beautiful home with Dina , even pre-apocalyptic times people would kill for that .Sixth of all there was just soo much death in this game that we as the players grew numb and didn't even care about them...pure shock value. like everyone died in vain and we didn't have time to take in how jessie died til we played as abby for freaking 10 hours during the climax of the game. Abby gets everything but Ellie is left with basically nothing and cant even enjoy the guitar? Seventh of all the characters have zero things that made them who they were in the first game, trusting some people when Joel taught Ellie not to, just to tell them his name and place without even asking them who they were? and Ellie not picking up that ps vita is fishy as hell cuz she loved games. okay and some other things that pissed me off was the smex scene. like dude Im a perv and I love strong women but that was so unexpected and unnecessary to the actual plot and making us sympathize with her. Ellie forgiving abby before she even forgave Joel for keeping her alive is bull crap when she don't even know if it were to work. And Tommy calling ellie a coward after he is nearly killed makes no sense. He would have let her know that he found out where abby was but wouldn't forced that since he and Joel wouldn't want her to risk her life AGAIN!!! because they care about her. The plot is poorly written and they try to hide behind the lgbtq+ community. When its not about that because we definitely loved left behind when we first found out she was gay. OVERALL their execution of a revenge story without the revenge was horrible since they prove everything they did in the game and the countless people they killed was pointless. Ellie killing hundreds of people(may include early pregnant women, fathers, innocent people that just joined the frontline) to feel bad AT THE VERY LAST SECOND about the one person that caused her misery and was actually guilty… Expand

It is not fun to play, the gameplay is repetitive and the combat is amazing up until you have to repeat the same strategy for the 12th time in an hour.     Worth waiting this whole time!!! Every minute was pure gold. I really don’t understand complaining about the story. It was amazing! Simple, but not the abvious one, and emotionally touching. Thank you Naughty Dog for this adventure!

    The creators of this game must hate their own characters. All to push a narrative the voice actor for Abby wants.
    I respect strong women and have no issue with who someone chooses to love or what sex they identify as. With that said, I do not understand why they try to make you like a character who murders a beloved character so much. If that is not bad enough the other character that you have also grown to love is portrayed as a murderous no concience having dog killer. Whilst the woman who murders your father figure brutally in front of you with a golf club with his brains still graphically attached to it is a dog lover. They do everything they can in this game to rip down the characters that you have grown to love. If you never played the last of us if you do not love the characters of Ellie and Joel the game is graphically amazing playability is good, fight scenes awesome, story garbage! complete aarbage all to push a narrative from the voice Actor that plays Abby. This game does not deserve anywhere close to 10 out of 10 rating it is not as good as the paid to critics are wanting to tell you there is absolutely no way this game deserves to be game of the year it doesn't deserve awards it doesn't deserve anything what it deserves is accolades for the graphics which are stupendous and if you like to brutally murder people this is the game for you. If you like to murder dogs this is the game for you. If you like to brutally torture people with Blunt objects with no choice to do otherwise this is the game for you. If you like to be depressed this is the game for you.. I played through this game twice just to see if I would like it better all I was was completely depressed and upset that they made every man in this game seem like a dufus or a murderer they made a young girl into a raging murderous lunatic with no conscience they made a little girl who we became to love broken and didn't even give her the ability to play guitar again by taking her 2 fingers she lost everything and still did not avenge her father figures killer.     What I liked:

    In terms of the visual aspects, they did an amazing job. The game is beautiful. The graphics and world building is captivating.
    The AI is exhilarating, by using different weapons and tactics when confronted by your enemies.

    What I didn't like:

    There are big problems with the story, the way it's told, and the way it was delivered.
    I get that it was experimental and similar to the styling of some directors, but it really didn't work for me.
    It's a simple revenge story and it's Vanilla at best.
    The game constantly forces you to like characters you have no relationship with. Introducing and killing them off almost feels like they didn't need to be there at all.
    I reckon Ellie's descent into chaos would have worked much better if they had kept Joel around for more than the 5 minutes of gameplay you get with him.

    Anyways, the game got about half of it right and the other half is an absolute mess.

    This is not TLOU, this is a hot mess and time wasted I will never get back. The biggest disappointment in gaming for me since No Man's Sky.    … Expand

    Just play this game, have your own opinion about it, this game really worth it. You probably have a lot of questions and concerns about the story when it starts, but when it comes to it finish, everything clears and you finally understand why it all was designed that way.

I had to come on here and put my review on it and hopefully bump that user score up some which I can see already went up a decent amount ! I avoided all the leaked spoilers, negative criticism on the game so I can experience it for myself and make up my own judgement. However, I am disappointed with ND here’s why. I played the game and completed it in 4 days straight (do not recommend it) it took me on an up & down journey (Mostly down) from beginning to end, lots of flashbacks, confusing story, misleading trailers to get the fans to buy the game, no character development, or clear message, pointless tasks, uncharacteristic choices, no real care or connection to any of the new characters introduced, more than half the game you play as Abby to try and get us to understand and sympathize, when no one really wanted that.
    I can understand where the director was trying to take the story but it was done poorly, even someone with an open mind could see this. The characters they said they hold close and dear to their hearts & would do right by the fans they completely ruined. One thing I cant deny is the graphics are incredible, and the accessibility of game play. If only they had put more work into the story than they did for the visuals. No matter how beautiful the visuals are, it was hard to enjoy this game. At end of it, I felt mentally and physically distraught, no real accomplishment or impact from the game like it had in the first one.    … Expand

No I'm not sexist or homophobic naughty dog, I just appreciate good games without a political agenda being shoved down my throat. The story is woefully poor and very slim to put it nicely. You need to get your revenge, GO ! Parts of the game dragged so much I was falling asleep and pretty much had to force myself through it. Especially towards the halfway point where were forced to repeat the same actions again with a different character... Lazy story telling. Characters are all 1 dimensional and killed off without any real development. Gameplay has barely changed since the first game and still feels as stiff and clunky as ever. And the ending was a downright embaressment that makes the whole game absolutely pointless. What a mess, the graphics were nice, that's my 1 piece of praise I'll give this game, but this is naughty dog, and expected at this point, so yeah.... Skip this one altogether, or grab on a cheap sale… Expand
