    It's sad how many people are review bombing this game. There is no possible way thousands of people played a 25+ hour game and beat it within just a few hours of its release, much less played a game this long to its end if they thought it was actually a 0/10.

    Es una joyita de los videojuegos,RECOMENDADÍSIMO.
    La gente habla sobre la política en este videojuego y sobre cómo lo ha fastidiado,pero naughty dog lo ha cuidado muchísimo y ha hecho que sea muy disfrutable,cada momento del videojuego repone los pelos de punta y no puedes parar de jugar.
    Los gráficos son geniales, la música, los personajes, todo en esta entrega es de 10, mis felicidades.

Let's go 7 years back in 2013 when the first "The last of us" came up for the first time in our hands...The game was a masterpiece and everyone was absolutely satisfied so with the story as with the endin..2020 7 years later when the whole gaming planet is expecting "The last of us 2" the directors decided to destroy the game by eliminating our heroes (for no reason)..The story is classic and in the half of the game you get bored...Im really depressed...… Expand

    This is a great sequel and worthy of your time,from gameplay to story and everything in between .Lots of negative reviews posted within 5 or 6 hours yet it’s a 20 to 30 hour game ,so obviously trolls and haters on here .Solid 10/10 from me.

    After seeing all this negative reviews I still decided to buy it on the release date and see for myself. OMG, this game is so good gameplay wise and specially the graphics, presentation. The story was sad and some parts a little disappointing but that doesn’t matter because the gameplay is what really matters. Breath of the wild’s story suffered by not being as deep as it’s predecessors,After seeing all this negative reviews I still decided to buy it on the release date and see for myself. OMG, this game is so good gameplay wise and specially the graphics, presentation. The story was sad and some parts a little disappointing but that doesn’t matter because the gameplay is what really matters. Breath of the wild’s story suffered by not being as deep as it’s predecessors, but was universally praised for its good gameplay and presentation. It is the same thing here, a very good quality triple A title here so good you will want to play it again once you beat the campaign. There were some slight changes to the gameplay and combat system but not big changes but is okay as the first game mechanics were near perfect so it wasn’t necessary to completely change the combat system. What we got here is a good game that deserves a chance as NaughtyDog keeps doing what it does best a very fun game that really entertains you, as that’s what the video games are in the first place, to have fun. Please play this game is very fun, you might not like where the direction of the story goes but the overall game is what really matters. Stop listening to those haters who negatively reviewed this game and they haven’t even played it or even completed the first five hours of the game. Or didn’t even like the first game in the first place as they suck at it from the beginning. If you like the challenge in a game and using your head often this game is for you, you won’t be disappointed.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. So I'm just going to talk about the story, gameplay and graphics are already a 10/10 for me. And I'm sure most of yawl may share the same opinion till here.

    Now, where you all will disagree is this. SPOILER ALERT.

    I do understand why people wouldn't like this game. But I'd also say or quote Troy Baker, "keep an open mind". If you actually look and understand the story closely, the writing does induce the feeling of loss of a loved one in real life. I mean, to be honest, I've never actually felt such anger for some character dying, that too in a game. The game makes you feel 'Hate'.
    Well yeah, anytime anyone can nitpick this w being 'overly complex' just to keep up w the 1st one. Eventually, inducing hate in audience for the series. But if you do look at some avant garde film concepts, you'd definently realize it's not only about relatability with audience's mind, but also about making them 'feel' the emotion. (Wouldn't be a right example, in comparison. But may prove my point for you, only if you're interested in the avant garde)

    I mean look at films by Andre Tarkovsky, they make you feel 'time' or by Carlos Reygadas which make you feel 'a perplexed individual's reality' or even by Quentin Tarantino which make you feel comedy in absurdity.

    Now talking about the complexity, (just my opinion) I felt it was perfectly balanced out. Neil Druckmann didn't force you to 'empathise' with Abby. Coz if he did, he wouldn't have gone for an aftermath ending where an older Ellie takes an effort to take revenge and looses all she had; my man could've simply made this game an Abby biased game instead of keeping it 50/50 each character perspective with Ellie biase. I mean, I'm damn sure even Druckman knew nothing can account for Joel's death. So what he did instead is show you a 'perspective' of a villian (and not her side of the story by forcing you to empathizing with her). And to keep that 'perspective' interesting he uses the concepts of 'war' during the Abby sequences to elaborate how everyone has an internal war. Abby's internal war is guilt, Ellie's revenge, Lev's sexuality.

    And just like a war to end all war does nothing but creates more, the ending sequence where they both fight like beaten up pigs is just so you see this situation from an objective yet ellie's POV.

    Well, at least to me (call me an opem minded naive) but honestly... by the end of the game, I felt Joel did have to go. (Though it's a personal biase) But w the concepts of war, space and ocean the game did get meexistential and made feel Joel's death as a trivial part of survival. Yet I cried when he did. (Well, some might've felt it's a drag.. but I just simply loved the game)

    The plot of this game is really amazing, unfortunately I was not able to play it because I do not have my own PS4 console but watching I felt a thrill. I don't even know how to describe it, the character dialogues are very natural and sometimes I didn't even feel that this is a gameplay from the game just an action movie. It really is a recommendable game.

The direction in the story this game has taken, the obvious pandering to SJW, the politics included in the story seriously turned me off so much that finishing this game is impossible.     But I think Joel deserved better. Video game industry needs to know that we usually get connected with characters and their choices and last thing we want to see is for that character to die. I don't care about all this agenda thing going around on internet. Don't care main character is lesb or trans, till the time it's a good game with a good story. Last of us 2 compared to Last of us 1 is just plain garbage. I can't believe that both developed by the same studio. Ellie goes on rampage, kills everyone, just to let Abby go, that was like a 10/10 facepalm moment for me. Writer needs to sit down and think what exactly he is trying to communicate with this story. Only character I cared about was Ellie, writer completely failed to make me feel anything about any other character. And why on earth we are forced to play Abby, after she butchered Joel, last thing we need is to play as her. I just can't believe that this game is coming from Naughty Dog, one of the best studio we have. How could they even think this is a great story. It has so many flaws. I think this game does not even closely DESERVES a 95, at most a 70. Why kill off such an important character, like an hour into the game? Why cancel someone’s death, due to leaks? Perhaps it’s because I’m over 40 that I felt the most emotional over this game than any other piece of media I’ve ever consumed. Throughout my play through I was constantly on the edge of my seat with my mouth open and butt clenched enough to turn coal into diamonds. By the time the credits rolled I, aI don’t understand who are these people who don’t like this masterpiece of storytelling. Throughout my play through I was constantly on the edge of my seat with my mouth open and butt clenched enough to turn coal into diamonds.     It was a good game. Not a 10/10 great game like the first one was. I liked God of War more than this one too. I’d give this one 7/10. I didn’t like how time jumped around so much and didn’t like playing antagonist and protagonists but they were trying to get you to empathize.

If you want to play a game that cares about the story and focuses on well scripted dialog that doesn't feel forced then i recommend playing the first game.

    Probably the best game I've ever played. The story is incredible, exraordinarily mature; it can be liked or not but it certainly establishes a new standard for the storytelling.
    The gameplay is perfect, with stealth and chaotic moments perfectly alternated.
    This is an absolute masterpiece, maybe the best game for this generation

    Throughout the course of this game you will feel different things that may be uncomfortable but stick with it, the new characters are wonderful additions and if you're invested in this universe you will feel a whole string of emotions towards various characters and as you understand the prespectives of both ellie and abby you begin to understand that they aren't all that different in some ways. As you begin to see why abby did what she did you slowly begin to sympathize with her and grow with her as the game progresses while also getting to know the people ellie hurts the game puts you in control of abby for the first fight between abby and ellie, this for me wasnt enjoyable but it was necessary for the storys progression, its necessary for you to understand that even though you want to side with ellie after what abby did you've grown to care about the people abby wants to avenge after ellie kills them and its painful to see abby grieve the way ellie does over joel. This is the point in the game were you realize that there is no good guys or bad guys, just survivors in a broken world and to get the full emotional pull of the second act you HAVE to understand this. Yet while I did grow to like abby I do believe that some of the best moments in the game are the flashbacks that host both a younger ellie and a kinder joel, they absolutely steal the show and while i morn the lose of joel gravely so and found it difficult at first to see things from abbys view i did enjoy story. Also abbys play time is just as long as ellies though I personally(as well as most people i would assume) think ellie steals the show. You feel the characters emotions just by seeing their expressions and listening to the music which is furthered even more by dialouge and actions of said characters. At first you will absolutely hate abby as the developers surely intend you to but once ellies three day period is over and you play those same three days over as abby she may very well start to grow on you. The gameplay is smooth and combat and stealth are so much more tense then ever before as the enemy AI will find ways to outsmart you or outgun you and that only increases as the difficulty increases. The graphics speak for themselves as remarkable breathtaking feats and while the story may not be for everyone I fully enjoyed my time with this game and am already making headway in a second playthrough. By the end the game makes you understand that ellie wasn't after abby purely for revenge as the final flahback reveals that ellie and joel were beginning the roads to forgiveness after ellie had found out about joels lie in an earlier cutscene but just a short time after they have this discussion he is taken from her by abby and ellie feels that abby stole her chance to forgive and heal what was broken, while also realizing what this quest for revenge has turned her into and upon realizing this ellie lets abby go instead of drowning her. this story requires you to take the story as it is instead of what you want it to be and doing so grounds the universe even further as each character is more than true to who they were and who they've become since the time we last seen them. This game does not have a happy ending as ellie loses 2 fingers in her final fight with ellie she can no longer play the guitar, realising that her quest for revenge has also taken the last thing left she had from joel(being his lessons on how to play the guitar) as well as losing her relationship with dina in favor of tracking abby down. You the player feel this overwhelming pain as the screen pans out after she's set down the guitar and left the house and all that's left is to watch her walk away with this feeling of understanding that she's lost pretty much everything because of the choices that were made. These emotions may not be what you're looking for in a game and thats okay but to those who do decide to play it the story is great even in all lose and sadness.

    If youre still skeptical I encourage you to look at reviews on both sides, get good and bad opinions and see if this is for you and maybe watch a playthrough if that doesn't prove enough, but please only listen to those who sound like they've actually played the game and be aware that there's definitely people here review bombing a product they haven't played. You may not be one who enjoys this work of art and thats ok but make the decision for yourself, don't let others tell you how to feel. To all incoming players be prepared for an emotionally challenging story that will push you to the edge and back. As I believe this story is closely on par with the emotional holdings of the first in almost every way.    … Expand

I have no problem with Ellie being lesbian (OBVIOUSLY - it was established in the first game and i enjoyed the dlc) but Naughty dog clearly has an agenda... there are bigots, a weird cult that dont like trans people and other than that adds nothing to the story (apparently 30+ years into a tragic apocalypse people are still obsessed with gender and sexuality) The male characters are useless, killed, crippled or pushed aside.
    overall: 1/10 its a sequel to a heavily story based game ( which could have easily worked as an interactive movie but shoehorns in boring, repetitive combat and awful platforming ) and this game completely **** on the characters and themes of the first for a preachy revenge plot that dosent even END!     What a mess this game was. I'm graciously giving it a 2/10 due to the fact that the graphics were pretty good and it had good sound design and music. I don't recommend buying it. Just avoid it. Watch YouTubers/Twitch streamers play it. It's not worth buying. Don't give Naughty Dog any money for waiting for this poor excuse of a sequel for 7 years.… Expand

    Cara o jogo pela primeira vez que joguei nunca me deixou ta perdido e curioso pra saber o que ia acontecer na historia e isso foi incrivel diferente do 1 a nossa meta era uma vingança e nao chegar a um hospital.alem da gameplay que foi excelente esse sistema de combate parecido com 1 mas foi um pouco modificado a exploracao tbm melhorou bastante

    I loved the soundtrack, it was catchy, and the characters, oh my god, they're so alive!
    Joel's death was sad, but necessary, it was a great motivation to let Ellie so **** angry, but he doesn't died like Joel, he died like a weak man, he should die, but not like that. I'm not saying that he must had worthy death, because it's the end of the world and the death never have been beautiful.

    O sentimento sobre a morte do Joel foi estranho, mas ele tinha que morrer, sua morte traz muito mais valor para a história já que ele não é mais o mesmo, na cidade ele não estava mais sobrevivendo e sim vivendo.
    Jogar com a Abby mesmo entendendo o motivo dela, deu uma raiva, medo e desespero só de pensar em acabar gostando dela. A briga dela com a Ellie quase me quebrou, ainda mais por me fazer bater na Ellie, foi difícil.
    Ver a Ellie na casa nova com a Dina e o JJ foi um momento de paz.
    No começo foi difícil entender como ela podia ter deixado tudo aquilo para voltar para sua vingança, mas ela precisava daquilo, ela estava quebrada por dentro e aquela foi à forma que ela encontrou para se perdoar e para superar a morte do Joel.
    Acabei não tendo mais tanta raiva da Abby, mas ainda não chego a gostar dela, não só pelo que ela fez com o Joel, mas principalmente pelo que ela fez com Ellie, a Abby por não superar a morte do pai, sofria muito e mesmo assim não se importou se matando o Joel causaria o mesmo sofrimento em outra pessoa.
    Um exemplo desse sentimento no jogo é mostrado durante os pesadelos da Abby, ela voltava para o meso corredor que acabava na sala onde o pai dela foi morto, ajudando aquelas crianças ela finalmente se livra do pesadelo encontrando o pai dela vivo na sala, superando assim a morte dele.
    Com a Ellie acontece o mesmo um corredor que acabava na sala onde o Joel foi morto.
    E depois de perceber que matar a Abby não ajudaria em nada, já que ela matou todos os amigos da Abby que estavam envolvidos com a morte do Joel, e mesmo assim não amenizou a dor e sofrimento dela. E também só criaria o mesmo sentimento no Lev se ele sobrevivesse.
    No fim, por perceber tudo isso ela tem uma visão do Joel em uma varanda tocando violão, fazendo com que ela poupe a vida da Abby.
    E assim acredito que a Ellie acaba se perdoando pela forma que tratou Joel e acaba superando sua morte.

    Em minha opinião The Last Of Us é nota 10, por me trazer tantos sentimentos novos e por criar vários pontos de vista diferente.    … Expand

    Im from Russia, so sorry me for my English, im only listen and read English, never talk or write. And i never wrote on this site and never rate this.

    All game, every part it is something that everybody who loves game industry should try. All part of this game is Masterpiece, and only part which is debatable it is story. For me story work great. I have opinion that LGBT theme is redundant, but im waiting more propaganda about it, but in game it almost doesn't matter. Story great take us to the revenge theme, then show us other side of conflict which after Ellie path looks more like HUMAN being, then push it together in conflict. And all it by master storytelling. Moment when main character fighting im wanted to throw game pad away just for stop this, i even trying to miss QTE. I cant explain all my feeling in english, but its have so many moment when i have thinking about this game, about revenge, friends, enemies, life at all. I think this is great story with great directing.

    And if somebody dont like story, its really mean 0 as rate this game? all this animation, locations, sounds, gameplay, voice acting doesnt mean nothing? im so confusing by all this hate. I can understand rate 5-6, okay 4, but lower its insane for me.

    Often people hear talk about part I, im a big fan of TLOU part I, this is first game that affect on my by so special way. And for me story at first game more simple, more "one-sided", and more "

Le jeu est incroyable la musique, le gameplay, l'acting et le sound design impose le respect .Mais selon moi le point de dscorde du jeu est l'écriture car le scénario est plutôt bon ( en dessous du premier volet) mais l'écriture des dialogue sur certaines scènes sont terriblement mal écrite

    The overall quality is astounding. The gameplay and scenarios are extremely tense, and the story has enough twists and turns to keep you invested and playing for hours. This is a once in a generation experience that will be remembered for years to come.

    If you loved the original for its great characters and well-paced story – stay away from this game. However, if you’re aching to sink into the depths of depression, or just want to cut some throats and burn some zombies – Part II will deliver. [Issue#247, p.72]
