Give it 1 week and buy it for $5 game basket at Walmart. The graphics were great don’t get me wrong, the story however was god awful. I get killing Joel randomly to show that he wasn’t a god, but to have Ellie turn the other cheek after killing hundreds of people after she gets a chance for revenge?     Idk what some of these rating are about? My take is I have been waiting years for this game. Yes, you n Ed to play the first game or it to all into place. The story was great and seen lots of comments on how gameplay was garbage, but it’s not. Play this **** on survival mode then you will change your mind. Always play onhard to-get the full experience.     Геймплей неплохой, но все-равно недалеко ушёл от той унылости, что была в оригинале. Все бои с мобами опять происходят на аренах, мобов кидают пачками всю игру. Открытые локации хоть и интересно исследовать, но они все равно достаточно небольшие и не имеют вообще никаких динамических стычек с врагами, всё заранее заготовлено.    Тупая, скучная, бессмысленная, депрессивная и затянутая игра.

Сама сложность абсолютно никакая, во всяком случае высоком. Возможно на максимальной получше.

    Если бы не было второй половины игры (либо она была подана просто через катсцены), то намного лучше было бы. Где-то на 18 часу от сюжета начинаешь засыпать, а многочисленные тупые моменты, которые в игре просто на каждом шагу, только сильнее бросаются в глаза.
    Построение сюжета отвратительно.

    Персонажи скучные, кроме Элли и Джоэля вообще никто не интересен и намеренные попытки привязать игрока к ним выглядят абсолютно убого.
    Есть несколько душевных, трогательных и неплохо поставленных моментов, но на фоне остального сюжета они полностью меркнут.

    Постановка сцен, актёрская игра и работа со звуком просто на высочайшем уровне, жаль что по большей части только за эти аспекты и хочется хвалить.

    Графика хоть местами и невероятная, но за ней стоят тучи фильтров, графических артефактов и множество других технических ограничений. Так же ближе к концу, вместе с сюжетом, графика как будто становится всё хуже и хуже.

    Музыка не выделяется и просто служит лёгким дополнением к сценам, вообще за всё прохождение можно даже не заметить, что у игры есть саундтрек.

    Если нужна нормальная игра про месть или просто нормальная игра, то лучше в Xenoblade Chronicles 1 поиграть.    … Expand

Respecto a lo que se critica mucho, La historia es muy cruda y viéndolo desde un punto de vista objetivo tiene sentido en el mundo de TLOU, No intenta crear un mundo color de rosa donde hay un. Bueno y un malo donde el bueno siempre sale bien parado, nos muestra que depende mucho de las perspectivas yajuego increíble, los gráficos, la construcción del mundo y la historia son muy buenos.     Um jogo sobre empatia e perspectiva, a maneira como você interpreta a historia fala sobre você também, se você acredita oque acontece no final não deveria acontecer, então você não entendeu nada do que o jogo quis mostrar

    After playing the whole game, I can understand why some fans hate it. We thought this was a sequel to the first one, but instead, is it's own story. The story is about just one character, instead of the duo we got so familiar in TLoU - this is what pissed so fans off. But once you realize the story is trying to do it's own thing, the game becomes much more engaging.

    One of the most emotionally impactful games I've ever played. It was great to experience such a challenging story, it left me feeling almost emotionally violated and resonated deeply. I expected it to be a fun, heartfelt continuation from the first game playing with Joel and Ellie, but instead, I got a rollercoaster of an emotional experience which I'll never forget. I highly recommendOne of the most emotionally impactful games I've ever played. It was great to experience such a challenging story, it left me feeling almost emotionally violated and resonated deeply. I expected it to be a fun, heartfelt continuation from the first game playing with Joel and Ellie, but instead, I got a rollercoaster of an emotional experience which I'll never forget. I highly recommend giving it a try despite what all the negative reviews say. I started with so much anger, hatred, and sadness, and throughout the story those feelings are shifted, and subverted. I’ve questioned the bonds I’ve made, and questioned the decisions I’ll make. The bold “in your face” story this game tells, is an experience like none other. I never felt good playing this game, the mood was always dark, and treacherous, with small glimpses of light, only to be darkened again. For some, this story may be to deep and dark, for me the story deserves a 10/10. For gameplay I played on hard and enjoyed my experience, I will note that the infected could’ve been more terrifying as I felt the A.I. was a little dull, until fully active, then they were a force to be reckoned with. The human A.I. however were totally unpredictable and save scumming yielded different results. They almost felt real, calling out names of friends when killed, I felt more immersed and excited when I encountered the human A.I. Now the puzzles were super easy for me and gave me no sense of accomplishment, until the ropes came into play, still easy, it felt like a new experience and it was fun! You’ll be searching and scavenging big open maps, and small narrow laid out areas, I loved the level design, even the small blocked off areas felt natural, and stunning. Also this game has so many settings and accessibility options it sets a new bar for accessibility! For the gameplay I’ll give it a 9/10 as I felt the infected weren’t as menacing as the humans in the game, they felt predictable and all the glass and debris on the ground should’ve alarmed those close to me, but that may be nitpicking! Overall the gameplay and the experience I felt from this story is a solid 10/10! And I feel like the true fans will appreciate and be blown away by this title!… Expand

    This is called "part 2" for a reason. The story ties in really well and makes the connections. I know most are upset over something within the first 2 hours of the game, myself included, but, its a 20 plus hour game, see how it plays out. Maybe you'll enjoy it, i did, a lot

Aside from the mediocre story and the forced SJW propaganda, I think Neil Druckman and his team really deserve respect in creating this games environments and enemies. I'll give the story a 5 out of 10 purely for the fact that it is bland, in my opinion, and Joel's death was not given any proper context, and happened too early in the game. Ellie being a senseless killer was also an off-putting thing about the story. There is no humor or wit in this game like the first. Abby was not a bad character, despite the leaks and what she did to Joel. However, she should have gotten her own game instead of being forced into this one. My biggest gripe with the story is the forced SJW propaganda. It seems that the writers chose to tell us that Ellie is a lesbian every five minutes in the game. It got annoying after a point and I eventually lost interest in the story after about an hour or so. The new characters are bland, and I didn't like the character of Dina. She just seemed an odd choice for the game and the dialog between her and Ellie felt unnatural, forced and borderline uncomfortable sometimes. Also, most new and old characters are under utilized. However, The environment is a solid 10 out of 10. It is absolutely gorgeous, and Seattle has got to be one of the best looking environments in any video game up to this point. The enemy factions are also a solid 10 out of 10. The returning infected never ceased to make my toes curl and my heart race, and the two warring factions in the game, the WLF and the Seraphites are well implemented and deserving of the coolest enemies award, if ever there was such an award. The militaristic nature of the WLF combined with the silent, eerie way the Seraphites conduct their war makes for some epic, heart racing moments in the game. Whoever conceived the idea for the WLF and the Seraphites is really good at their job and deserves a promotion. In closing, I cannot fault the game for a few bland story moments and aspects. It's still a brilliant game if you like horror survival games, and I would recommend it to anyone interested.… Expand

    I think the game has told what is wanted to be explained, but it cannot make a logical choice because it associates the events with respect to the proximity of the characters, as well as being an emotional being.

From a technological standpoint, LoU2 is some of the most fluid and captivating gameplay from any game this generation, and the graphics are fantastic (although I'm not a fan of the film grain this game adds). From aThe Last of Us: Part 2 is a must play game. Naughty Dog has continued to improve their formula with each game they create, and are an elite company in the video game industry. From a technological standpoint, LoU2 is some of the most fluid and captivating gameplay from any game this generation, and the graphics are fantastic (although I'm not a fan of the film grain this game adds). From a story standpoint, I was completely invested the entire time. This game has many twists and turns in store, and while some are certainly controversial, Naughty Dog has crafted a unique, captivating story that is unforgettable. The game is long, and as a result has some points in the game that are much slower than others, but the climatic points of the game make the entire thing worth it. 9/10, I think cutting 3/4 hours off the game would have done it justice, but overall and amazing experience.… Expand

    Я был одним из тех людей, которые яро защищали игру на релизе, мол, не-не-не, 3 слишком низко, она явно не заслуживает этого. Её хейтили за ЛГБТ пропаганду, слитый сюжет, устаревший геймплей. Ну короч не по порядку:
    1: ЛГБТ пропаганды, на мой взгляд, особо нет, есть намёки, мол, Лев этот, которая Лили, "шовинист", пару фраз, но так, если не рыться в поисках иголки в стоге сена - её нет.
    2: Не знаю, где там устаревший геймплей, но тут он оч даже клёвый. Бегаешь, лутаешь, крафтишь, стреляешь. Всё, вроде как, как в первой части, но заметна эволюция, в виде стелса в кустах, верёвках из Унчартед 4, ползанья и т.д. Вощем, ооч круто.
    И наконец, 3: Эхх, бля... Ну, что тут говорить, сюжет слили. Причём, правильней сказать, даже не сюжет, а всё, что после ухода Эбби из театра. Ну тип, реально, она пришла, её Лев переубедил уйти, они ушли, оставив Дину с пробитым плечом, Джесси мертвым, Элли с разбитой рожей, а Томми с простреленным коленом. Затемнение, ииии... Бац, они уже все живы, здоровы(ну кроче Джесси), чилят в домике в деревне. Каво? Че? Как? Ответ мы так и не узнаем. Ну, допустим они кое-как доковыляли до Джексона(хотя как, если у них только одна лошадь, которая от Джесси?), хрен с ним. Что дальше? Томми хочет мести, понимает, что Эбби в Калифорнии, предлагает Элли пойти туда, но та отказывается. Ок, пока всё ок. Следующий кадр, и Элли собирает шмотки, чтобы Эбби убить. Почему убить? Хуй её знает, ведь дальше по сюжету нам показывают, что Элли, тащемта, согласна, что Джоэл в момент спасения Элли был гандоном. Дальше ничего интересного, ла-ла-ла, стрельба, щелкуны на цепях. А потом Элли снимает Эбби со столба и начинает пиздить... Ты че, ебанутая? Ты же сама сказала Джоэлу во флешбеках, что он урод из-за своего поступка, и ты знаешь мотивацию Эбби, и ты понимаешь, почему она тебя оставила в живых, нахуя ты её пиздишь, алё? Великолепно, просто пиздец. Но Элли таки допердивает, что Эбби пиздить не надо, и отпускает её.
    Далее, Элли возвращается на ферму, но вся хата опустела(конечно блять опустела, оставила одну Дину с ребёнком на всю ферму, молодец, подруга), пару флешбеков, где она винит Джоэла в его поступке 5-летней давности, и уходит не в Джексон, а в путешествие черт знает куда. То бишь она поняла, что сделала херню. Отлично, гут, супер...
    Почему до Элли так долго доходило, что она дура? Знает лишь Дракманн. Хотя, возможно, в этом и был смысл, мол, Элли поняла, что столько дерьма сделала, что просто ушла, не желая показываться Дине на глаза.
    Концовка слила всю игру просто в пиздец, никакого оправдания поступку Элли нет и не будет, разве что в каком-нибудь сюжетном ДЛС.

    I have no problem with the graphics, gameplay its amazing. But the story is so bad I couldn't get into it I honestly had to grind just to finish it. I stayed away from leaks so I was so shocked the whole game like disbelief how long and boring like a bad fan fiction. How they treated ellie & joel I don't count it as cannon.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This game probably is one of the games that polarized the fanbase the most. There are those who absolutely hate the game, those who absolutely love the game and few of those who are somewhere inbetween.
    First off I have to say that I really detest the review bombing of this game right after release when it's obvious, that the players didn't even have the time to play this game. I also think counter rating the game as a 10/10 doesn't help either. Either way don't do this game justice.
    Now I'd like to say that I enjoyed the game as you can see in the score. I also understand, that people wanted a continuation of the narrative of the first game, yet I think it is unfair to slander this game based only on the fact, that people didn't get the wholesome, heartwarming narrative. To call the narrative of this game bad, garbage, crap or whatever other adjective people use just show that people can't rate this game as an individual game. Of course both games are connected through characters and setting, but is it really that bad for the developers to go in a different direction with a sequel? I certainly don't think so. It was quite obvious that this game is going a more darker path judging by the trailers. It may have been somewhat dishonest by the developers to alter the trailers slightly, but it is nothing new in the industry.

    Now to the actual review of this game.
    First off the graphics. one word is enough to describe it which is gorgeous.
    The mechanics are simmilar to the first game, but it was definitely polished with dodging enemy mele attacks, proning, hiding in tall grass, environmental puzzles with ropes and the absolutely detailed, smooth and beautiful reaction of the characters to the environment and hits.
    As I mentioned above, the narrative is darker than the first game. If you don't like games with dark stories and themes, this might not be your cup of tea. But if you are fine with it, a well written and very nuanced story awaits you. This game has everything a good and complete narrative needs to have. The setting, with a bit of Jackson, a very beautiful and detailed Seattle and also beautiful Santa Barbara in the last part of the game. There are the well established characters from the first game like Joel, Eliie and Tommy, but also new characters like Ellie's love interest Dina, their good friend and Dina's ex Jesse, Lev, who plays a important role and of course Abby. There also are minor characters like Abby's friends and Yara for example. Now let me make clear the sexual preferences of the charcters. Ellie is obviously lesbian, which we already knew from the Left behind DLC of the first game, Dina is bisexual, Abby is NOT transgender contrary to what was rumored pre release after the leaks, but Lev is transgender, which plays a small role in the narrative.
    The Plot as many probably already know is Joel getting brutally killed by Abby and Ellie setting off on a quest to seek revenge. the death of Joel, which is very controversial, comes early in the game. Why is it controversial? Because Joel was a well loved main character from the first game and many, think that the way Joel died, or rather that Joel acted out of character trusting strangers. But if you pay close attention to what happened before and read the logbooks in the outposts, you'll know it wasn't out of character and that the same would have happened no matter what. That was what I meant with nuanced, that you can miss a thing like the logbook. There aren't only logbooks but dialogues between characters that are missable during parts in which you control them or not so obvious dialogues during cutscenes. The game is full of them. That is what makes this story great, but also the reason why people think the narrative is bad.
    I don't want to go into too much detail, but you'll play quite a long part as Abby and it is very inportant for players to fully understand the theme and narrative of the game. If you can set aside your feelings, probably hatred and disgust, towards Abby and what happened to Joel, you'll realize that Abby's arc is very important.
    The game also have wholesome moments in forms of flashbacks.
    I don't want to write the whole story down as it's between 25 and 30 hours long and I'm also running out of available characters, so I'll let you experience the majority of the story yourself.
    The leaks have done a tremendous amount of damage to this game as it didn't show the nuanced parts and important details of the game.
    Please make sure to go into the game with a neutral mindset and please make sure to pay attention to detail as it is important to understand the greater narrative and the also controversial ending as well.

    My final conclusion: It's a game with beautiful graphics (probably the best on PS4), great mechanics and also a great story. Again it is very important to pay attention to details to get the nuances and you'll experience a great, very human story of revenge, love and redemption.    … Expand

JUST to be clear, the people who worked on the game did great except the direction or stoyboard and pacing of this, abbys story entirely imo could of been left out. it just didnt feel right to have her in it. NOT to say its the VA and the production team fault. it was the directions overall. the game was great to play. and joel isnt a dummy even though i feel joel would have a lot of enemies. but that part with joel wasnt the way to go tbh. the game is beautiful, direction/story needed work. it was in production too long for it to be so flawed… Expand

Even though TLOU2 have a good graphic, details, and gameplay, ND too focused on their agenda and forget the very first thing that brought TLOU to be GOTY which is their storyline. Tbh I'm okay if Joel die, because he did a bad and selfish things on TLOU ending. However, that doesn't mean you have to killed him that easy, he's not that dumb to trust a complete stranger. If you remembered, during TLOU, he knew when someone tried to trick and ambush him. If you really want to kill Joel and fit in your agenda, at least dont make him looks like someone who just step into post apocalyptic world. If we compared both Ellie and Abby, the only winner is Abby, she get her revenge, still alive, got new community (new firefly), and new mother and daughter relationship which she should have realized that what Joel did in TLOU, was the same thing she did to Lev now. F-in hypocrite!

    The much loved lead character from the first game Joel, gets killed by a extremely butch female named Abby who has a very narratively weak and petty reason as to why she commits said act. What makes it more confusing is that Abby kills Joel straight after Joel saved Abby's life. The narrative of this game was lazily written, full of plot holes, doesn't really make sense and has hours of boring drawn out filler to buff out this overly long 20 hour game. It is a revenge story with no revenge at the end of it. The ending is shockingly poor. The 2 main female characters (Ellie & Abby) are rebels without a cause committing heinous violent acts for no apparent reason other than self gratification. This game is basically 20 hours of mindless brutal killing. You are forced to play as Abby for 10 hours who is a new main character introduced in this game. She is empty and has nothing that anyone can really relate to unless you are a psychopathic killer that happens to be an extremely butch female steroid junky. Ellie the vulnerable innocent child from the first game is now the lead character as Joel is dead and has been transformed into an unstoppable all action super soldier. She is now a mindless killer who is out for revenge at any cost. Her sense of humour and vulnerability that defined her in the first game has completely been stripped away and we now have a basically brand new character unrecognisable from the first game. It is insane how over powered Elie and Abby are in this game. Swiftly dispatching men that are twice the size of them. This game is unbelievable and the plot is hard to keep up with.
    The only time I really enjoyed playing TLOU2 was during the flash backs but other than that it was a complete chore to play through. In my opinion this is one of the worst sequels ever in books, movies or games. It's definitely in my top 3. Avoid like the plague and save £60. The gameplay itself is fun, if not a bit repetitive, and the same as the first game. The sections with infected that feel like a survival horror game are easily the highlight of the game, which creates legitimate tension while you are trying to sneak around or fight your way out. Sadly, the main draw of this game is where it falls the most flat, the story. For me, it came to a screeching halt at about the mid-point of the game. Building Abby up to be so objectively evil in the eyes of the player and Ellie, and then expecting the player to play as Abby for 10+ hours in some bizarre attempt to make us sympathize with her just did not work. By the time that switch was made, I had been looking forward to getting my revenge SO much that once I realized she had her own skill tree (meaning I would be playing as her for a while), I stopped playing for 3 days. It had killed all the momentum that the game had at that point, and forcing a “reset” mid-game just made me feel like all I had done so far was for nothing. And anyone who knows how the game ends will know, this game exists for nothing. There’s no story payoffs, no shift in the world after everything happens, it was for nothing. Main characters get killed and then never mentioned again, or grieved for. I feel like if this game was shorter, and more focused, the story had potential to be good. But as it is, it feels like a story that just drags on for the sake of stretching things out, like they had some arbitrary number of hours they wanted it to be, and that they filled it with uninteresting and repetitive story beats to try and draw parallels between the 2 playable characters, but without making one of them likable or interesting enough for me to be invested in her story; forcing me to slog through it to finish the game out of an obligation to see the ending, because of my love of the first game.… Expand

    The narrative, wich is clearly the core of this game, is again excellent. It was the strongest point of the first game, and it is the same with Part II. All the animations, sounds and dialog interwine perfectly, making you feel part of the game.

    Now, about the story (no spoilers). I get why people are angry. Many times one has high expectations, and when those expectation don't match with what we get, we get frustrated. But, to trash a game, a game studio, and to ask for the writers or other employes of Naughty Dog to resign? Boy, just, what the hell?

    The story is complex, much more than in the first game. I don't see "forced agenda" or politics in the game, and this comes from someone who hates that kind of thing. I mean, we know Ellie is gay since the first game, and there are people still not cool with that? What were you expecting?

    The game dificulty can be changed overall (easy, moderate, hard, etc), or you can tweak it to your personal like: you can set the AI of your allies independently of the AI of the enemies, you can make the stealth mechanics more forgiving and the combat mechanics more challenging at the same time, and other things like that.

    Why not giving it a 10? Because it's not a perfect game. Some animations, like walking backwards, sometimes feel odd. Also, the game makes it very clear when you are near enemies, and when there is no more danger. For people like me, who sucks at stealth games, this is awesome, but I know there are people who don't want any kind of help like this.

    TL;DR:
    If you liked the first game, and you like complex stories with complex characters, you are going to enjoy this game.    … Expand

The game reminded you that it is the character's choice not the player's choice. It forces you to make decisions that you may never agree with. Puts you into the shoes of the person you would think you would have no empathy for and manages to take you from the side of Ellie to put you in between the conflict between Abby and Ellie. The game is not supposed to leave you satisfied, its supposed to leave you thinking, you're not supposed to agree with Ellie's choice to spare Abby, you're supposed to disagree and think about Ellie's choice. Ellie never got to forgive Joel like she wanted to, and sparing Abby was a way for her to do that. Joel's decision not only took Ellie's death away from her but took Abby's life away from her. If Ellie felt like she couldn't forgive Joel, she understood that Abby couldn't either. And because Abby never had a bond with Joel, Ellie knew that Abby would resent him. Ellie understood Abby and Abby understood Ellie, which is shown when Abby offered to help in the end. They took from each other, and one of both of them ended their cycle of violence.     Which was to be expected since a good part of the team that produced the first one, and even the director and one of the creators did not return to the sequel.
    That all added up, plus the swindle of Nauthy Dog, who has been cheating the games with interviews, and fake trailers, in which they replaced Joel of the past, and Jesse for the Skin of Joel of the present, leading fans to believe that the character would accompany Ellie on her journey, which does not happen in the final version.

If Arthur Morgan was killed by Micah halfway through Red Dead 2 and I was forced to play as Micah afterward, I would have immediately stopped playing and done something else. I don't care how wonderful the game looks, technically sound it is, or enjoyable the gameplay is; the predecessor to this game was about the strong narrative and the characters. The sequel has little to do with the events from the previous game and nothing to do with the journey Joel's character went through as the protagonist. I can't help but think that Neil Druckman resented the fact that most fans of The Last of Us liked Joel the most, because his character was really done a disservice here. I also dislike the way this whole cycle of violence story is told. In a game like God of War, you have similar themes of revenge and violence, but Kratos is making an effort to change and to teach his son to be a better man than he was, while making plenty of mistakes along the way. This game, on the other hand, just bludgeons you with violence, cruelty and misery without any levity because cycle of violence. The conclusion for Ellie's character was just as unsatisfying and nonsensical as Joel's. I truly hope this trend of deconstructive storytelling doesn't destroy any more of the characters I'm invested in.… Expand

    One of the greatest games I've ever played, I didn't think this would beat the first tlou after I saw the leaks, but I was wrong, will definitely be replaying this!! The gameplay is amazing and so is the story, I absolutely love Ellie, and her relationship with Dina, I also love the side characters as they are written brilliantly and I love the flashbacks

    I like it. Does it honour the memory of the dirt game no. But it’s a great standalone. You’ll only really find bad writing here and there but the overall experience is great. The game succeeded as ND got you to feel emotion and the ones they wanted like anger hate and grief with occasional love and happiness. This game had the potential to be a lot and I mean A LOT better but it just wasn’t.

Everything they showed in the trailers were misleading and false, There should be serious legal charges on the Sony and naughty dog for false advertisement.

    Last of Us is narrative driven game, and narrative driven games usually lives or dies by the story. The entire plot of the story is cliched and hollow. It is literally a cliched revenge story where in the end you don't even fulfill the goal. Ellie Literally loses everything, but in the end after killing hundreds of people and losing her two fingers she is like revenge is bad.     Looks good, game play is the same, nothing new, but still ok, sometimes great, sometimes boring and repetative.
    Music is really some random chords, no match to first game.
    Terrible script, and not because of the first part. Just full of holes, and second part of the game is a more a comedy then drama, its really that bad. Not 0-110 obviously, but far from the 10 too.

    it is so sad to see such an emotional tale being completely misunderstood and destroyed in the sequel, the game play is dated and has not changed even the slightest from the original game. graphics is fantastic and it makes everything more sad for a game with such a potential.

It's like this... there are definitely better games than metal gear solid 2 but that doesn't mean metal gear solid isnt my favourite, the same way in which you can get better dogs than my golden retriever... but I like my golden retriever.     I don't usually do any of this but this game deserves it.
    This was the best game I have ever played in my life. It was a mixture of emotions, it's like a bomb, you don't know if you're going to laugh, cry, jump in fright, if you're going to scream, anyway.
    Yes, the game is strong. Yes, the game is not for everyone. But I assure you that as soon as you understand the story and message of this game, you will love it as much as I do.
    The last of us part II is a masterpiece. The game starts in a quiet village, with patrols etc. One day jackson has a terrible event. The joel dies in an unbelievable way .. I have not yet overcome his death .. Ellie goes after revenge for his death, goes after whoever killed him. And I love that @naughty_dog_inc is able to get you attached to ellie.
    I cried with her so many times during the game. The naughty dog ​​made me stop the game because I was afraid to kill her (ellie) (whoever played knows what I'm talking about)

Every new character added in the story is just as well-crafted as the ones that appeared in the previous installment, and I found myself immerged with much interest on their own personalities and choices.     The ending is perfect and satisfying if you're following it like a story and not a self-insert. No it might not be what you would do, but if you are interested in a character's development, their feelings and trauma and path to deal with it, this is a masterpiece. It's a movie that you interact with, more than a game: just like the first one. (But also, the way the story unfolds, I can't imagine taking any other course of action once you actually get to that point: really I don't see how most players could be disappointed, don't be afraid of the ending.)
    It doesn't follow the story you expect it to, it follows one that is much more human, more nuanced, and more beautiful. It's not a simple revenge story, it's a revenge story as advertised but also so much more.
    As a final note: it's not a feminist game, it just happens to have female leads. It doesn't force representation, people other than straight white men just exist in the world.    … Expand

    I'm still wondering how ND dropped the ball this hard.
    Don't get me wrong, the graphics are excellent for a PS4 game and the controls are not bad.
    However, in a story game, the story counts and it's very bad.
    The new characters are bland and uninspiring, massive plotholes and the old characters have no good development.

    3/10 Do not recommend, especially if you are a fan of part 1.

    Before I sat down to play, I made myself set to just play and enjoy the gameplay and history, since we need games to show us the story and give us tools to make us feel like the main character.

    And this game coped with these tasks for the whole 100. I cried when Joel was killed, my heart was breaking over all the experiences of Ellie, but maybe Abby was shown very crumpled, but still you get used to it. The final caused me such a storm of emotions that I then departed for 3 hours from everything that they tried to convey to us. Yes, this is done directly on the forehead, but it works.

    But if you don’t take the place of the main characters, if you rested your horn (oh my God they killed Joel my favorite character and blah blah blah) and stop at least somehow thinking empathize then you can immediately delete the game this is not for you.

Bonito y hostil pero hueco, no me termino de creer que Ellie, una muchacha escuálida de 19 años pueda cargarse a tíos evidentemente más grandes y fuertes en combates 1 a 1, y para intentar dar ese toque de vulnerabilidad aparece Abby como personaje jugable cazándose entre sí para “equilibrar” lo vulnerable que puede ser Ellie, tanto odio y venganza para un final cutre sin imaginación, un escupitajo en un ojo, así sin mas!.
    El juego se nota “manoseado” por 2 o mas equipos distintos de desarrolladores, en momentos se ve muy bien y en otros deja muchísimo que desear, algunas animaciones y texturas son bastante cutres como la deformación y calidad del terreno, o en bastantes de los objetos que sirven de cobertura con calidad nula, la narrativa es de una novela barata e infantil que le pasa factura tratando ser inclusivo pero de manera forzada y hasta de mal gusto, la falta de respeto hacia los verdaderos fans se hace evidente.
    En cuanto a la jugabilidad ha progresado muy ligeramente respecto al anterior se siente “más de lo mismo”, (Infamous, Uncharted, Horizon, Days Gone, Dead Stranding) escenas escriptadas por todas partes, sigilo mal logrado, gunplay sin emoción y terrible IA, demasiadas veces hay que pasar por grietas y recovecos que resulta totalmente irreal, misma jugabilidad que los juegos mencionados, que por cierto al menos en mi opinión ya cansa la verdad.    … Expand

    Graficos hermosos, animaciones hermosas, diseño de niveles hermosos , la historia hasta la mitad del juego es muy buena pero el relleno de abby es in jugable, es aburrido y no aporta nada.
    Pudieron abordar a abby de otra forma sin tanto relleno y que al final despues de matar a tanta gente ellie se arrepiente y decide no matar a abby es un insulto a todos los que compraron este juego.
