    A game that left me very disappointed. After playing The last of us 1 I was excited to play the sequel because the first game was just extraordinary, in gameplay, setting and mainly history. Instead in the second part the story is a complete disaster, forced, does not generate any empathy. It is so bad that it ruins everything else.

    Terminei tlou 2 e bem...
    Gameplay fantástica e muito melhor do que o 1 em praticamente todos os quesitos, desde exploração, stealth, luta, loot alem de trazer detalhes minuciosos excelentes que nunca vi em nenhum jogo.
    Gráficos eu preciso nem dizer 10/10 melhores de sempre. A história é boa, boa até demais, e pesadíssima... Porém precisa ter estomago forte, está longe de ser uma    Terminei tlou 2 e bem...

    Bonus: tem muita gente que critica o jogo por causa da Ellie ser lésbica, bom na minha visão foi muito bem introduzido, se fosse um casal heterosexual eu não veria diferença, porém como muita gente teclou nisso por "lacração" deixo essa nota aqui...    … Expand

    I found the game very good! and although many say that the gameplay is bad and the story too, I didn't think so. Incredible ambience and even with the non-linear story format is perfectly understandable. The outcome of the story is not for everyone, because, in my opinion, it requires the player to understand very well the message that the game wants to bring.

    Replay value is of no existence for this game.No memorable characters,not even Ellie or Joel.Game play could have been more improved sense the first game.It breaks my heart saying the story is no good.I give the graphics 9/10.I hope naughty dog will learn from this,only time will tell ! Developers have them self to blame for their failure.

Dont believe the hate or the hype. This is a game you have to experience for yourself.. for me, it's a solid 8. I like everything about it. I didn't love all of it, it's not perfect in the slightest.     3) Started the game with lots of expectations and saw only one review and one gameplay video before starting the game . ( Never ventured into the spoilers **** )
    4) Played the game on a base PS4.
    5) The review will be broken into different aspects with a final score and a simple verdict.

    So let's go on 1) Graphics - I am not going to talk much about the graphics as almost everyone knows how the game looks . The playstation 4 has been pushed to it's limits to achieve the graphic outrage . However the attention to detail is little underwhelming and I personally found 6 visual bugs in the whole game which can be ignored and will definitely be patched. Rating - 9/10 2) Gameplay - The gameplay took on the foundations of the prequel with lots of tweaks. The AI is more responsive . The guns and their upgrades are more accurate however few upgrades are not worth your tools . There is more variety in the fire arms u carry . There are many skill trees and u can upgrade the path as ur favourite play style. But on the negative side sometimes the gameplay appears too similar to the prequel . Also the game is very challenging at the start but as u progress forward it becomes too easy and even ur upgrade paths and skill tree acquisition also becomes very easy . Rating - 8/10 Story - the part that's in most of the debates and discussion since and before the game release . The director definitely took many bold steps in the story . There are many set pieces which are difficult to digest, I personally found few story parts very very hard to digest and these are the things that has been garnering negative reviews . But the story is very well told and is a emotional roller coaster ride. I enjoyed every part of the story . It's raw , gritty and not a fairy tale that has been told . My heart raced , my skin got goosebumps , my eyes got tears and my mouth went dry on this story .
    Rating - 9.5/10 Music - I simply lost in the music of this game . I personally feel this category is the best part of the game Rating - 10/10 . Over-all Rating - Little more than 9 and a little less than 9.5

    Ignore the obvious review-bombing by unhappy fans that were pissed about Joel getting a golf club taken to his head. If you're mad that a fan favorite character was killed, and you expected him to be a hero, you completely missed the point of the first game, and this one as well. Joel was a **** monster. He massacred an entire hospital worth of people who could have cured the virus, just because he couldn't bear losing Ellie. That's disgustingly selfish. With this game, while I do understand that playing as the character who killed Joel could piss off a lot of people, the writers intended for us to see both sides of the story. In Abby's world, Ellie and Joel are the villains. Joel murdered her father, and she wanted revenge. The events of the first game set up this cycle. There is a proverb that states "When you embark on a journey of revenge, be sure to dig two graves."

    I also can't praise the environments, the lighting, animations, and design of this game. It is an absolute visual masterpiece.

    My final thoughts on this game are: It was dark, like Requiem for a Dream dark. It is not meant to be a feel good story. At times it can be downright disturbing. But at the end of it, I was left with a feeling of satisfaction. Do I think the ending made sense the way it happened? In my view, unless Abby and Ellie killed each other at the end, the way it actually ended was the only way it could have ended. I don't know what's in store for LoU3, but I'll damn sure be waiting with baited breath for what will hopefully be a fantastic conclusion to an amazing story.    … Expand

    The game is honestly amazing. The story feels that of a show from HBO, and the characters are life-like.

    Don't let the controversy persuade you into thinking this game is anything other than amazing without playing it first! :)

    A masterpiece but not on par with part 1(maybe because it's too depressing). A bold storytelling unlike any story game I've ever played. Minus the execution of some stuff that kinda don't make sense in the world of the last of us, everything else is pure perfection. Definitely a groundbreaking game.

    i really love this sequel the start was very emotional (I cried the whole time) and the next section's of the game have a really good narration and the graphics are extraordinary. Some zones are really dark and scary giving the right touch to the scenario.

Им наверняка больно видеть такой поток помоев в сторону своей игры, в которую вложено столько лет труда. Хотя, если они не дураки, то понимают, что эти нули-тройки были поставлены троллями, в игру не игравшими, или просто недалекими людьми, которые не могут быть хотя бы чуточку объективным.
    Вряд ли хоть кто-то прочитает это - не то что до конца, а хотя бы от начала, но все же: игру оценивают по совокупности её составляющих: сюжет, графика, музыка и звук, а так же геймплей (как ни странно!). Неужели все это сделано настолько плохо, что в итоге выходит ноль?

    Cagaron la historia en un juego donde lo principal es la historia. Sin la historia todo lo demás no sirve. Y aclaro que no tiene nada que ver la Inclusión. La historia es una mierda enorme. Y dicen que vendió millónes de copias, claro, pues fueron las copias que pre-ordenaron, si se hubiera enterado de la tremenda mierda de juego que es deseguro nadie lo compraria.

    O jogo é muito bom. Gostei bastante do gameplay que foi melhorado nessa sequência.
    A violência do jogo pode ser desconfortável para alguns, eu não tive problemas ao jogar.
    O único problema é pra que não jogou o the last of us "1" que vai se perder na história do jogo. Mas eu recomendo ótimos gráficos e jogabilidade muito boa.

    A remarkable game design, a real evolution in graphics and gameplay, but filled with a ridiculous, poorly written and empty story. It seemed that the director's intention was to destroy everything we loved in the previous game's story.

    An absolutely beautiful game. A masterpiece. I can understand why some people may not like certain character decisions, or how dark the themes were, but they are crucial in the overall story and message of the game. This amounted to an experience which ultimately elevates this game far above anything that any other piece of media I have consumed has achieved.

    The gameplay is good. Oddly enough, they wanted the game to be about how violence and revenge is bad. But the gameplay where you commit this violence is one of the best things about the game.
    The graphics and world environment are awesome. Cannot stress this. It's really great.
    The actors themselves have done a great job. They do their very best to make the story great and I cannot fault them at all. Superb acting.
    Everything bad about this game, is the writing. If you wanted an incredible story like The Last Of Us, you won't find it here.
    I'm going to give this a 3/10. As I said above everything is great except the story. However, this game following the incredible story of the first one, that is what people expected, an incredible story, and didn't deliver at all. Just...amateur honestly.    … Expand

The plot is stupid from the get-go, Joel and Tommy survived over 20 years of the apocalypse by being careful who they befriend and reveal anything about themselves, just to hand Abby their names on a silver platter? F*ck off Neil, you should be ashamed of how lazy you wrote this. Furthermore, you dare to make the whole game about avenging Joel's death and then deny the player the choice of whether they should spare Abby or kill her? F*ck off again!     The game is absolutely beautiful and the gameplay is actually fun and enjoyable but the story I could not get into it I felt no sympathy for the new characters and I felt like this was being forced on me.With a game so based on story the story not being good is not acceptable.

    I know this page is being review bombed but I still wanted to leave my thoughts on this game. The Last of Us part 2 is a masterclass in gameplay, world building, level design, animations and graphical fidelity on a PS4 from 2014, and of course story telling.

The gameplay is quite cinematic and fluid , but doesn't do enough to distinguish itself from the revered first entry it's absolutely a 7/10 for me , the story is where this game falls apart characters from the first game make some questionable decisions not resembling their previous choices and the new characters the game introduces aren't memorable or well developed enough to have an impact , also the plot is needlessly bleak and let me tell you this is not an easy game to play , its downright harrowing at times and that goes for the ending too which is bleak for it's own sake nor there's any feeling of contentment and not to serve the story in any meaningful way , it has to be a 5/10 for me and for a series that was revered for its amazing story that's a disappointment,.The first game is my favorite game of all time and I'm sad to see this is where they took they took the story… Expand

Naughty Dog knows these characters better than any of us, and they are telling the story they want to. We're meant to disagree with choices they make, because believe it or not, these characters are flawed humans, just like the rest of us (yeah, I'm looking at you guys giving this game a 0 without even picking it up). I definitely didn't always agree with the direction the story took, or the decisions the characters made, but that's the beauty of it.. I'm not supposed to. It's not my story. It's Naughty Dogs, and man is it brutal, dark, and miserable. But again, that's the point. I'm just thankful they're not afraid to tell it the way they wanted it. As for the gameplay, I don't have much to say. Yeah it's more or less the same, but refined with an added layer. It worked the first time, and it's even better here. As for the environments, Naughty Dog has outdone themselves. The attention to detail is crazy. To think a designer spent weeks perfecting a room that I rushed through in 4 seconds blows my mind. The game does a good job making the environments open enough giving you multiple paths to an objective without the need for objective marker or a mini-map. I never felt lost, but at the same time I never knew exactly how I was supposed to get somewhere. Naughty Dog really found the perfect balance of making the game feel open without making it an open world game.

    I finished the game resonating with characters I originally hated, and hating characters I thought I loved, overall feeling like ****. It's a miserable story with the mechanics, environments, and acting to back it up. The game is a masterpiece. If you loved the first game and want to see how Naughty Dogs develops and punishes these characters for the choices they've made, play this now, before someone spoils it for you.    … Expand

    I’m convinced the writers of the first game have mysteriously disappeared. I refuse to believe The Last of Us 2 is made from the same people that made the original. That’s how bad this is. The story (which was the best thing about the original) makes the game unplayable in the sequel. Couldn’t be more unsatisfied.

Even though i didn't like to play as her, Joel's death is not bad written, it's a cruel world, he is actually a bad person and this game gave him not plot armor. He actually got what he deserved, even if you like it or not. Don't get me wrong, it did hurt me a lot to watch him die like that, but I don't hink it was bad writing. Even if you don't empathize with Abby, the goal is not to make you feel sorry for her, but to understand her reasons. What Naughty Dogs did was kinda like playing with fire, and they kinda burnt themselves, but at the end I think they made one of the most memorable games ever.… Expand

One of the most profound games i’ve played. the storytelling is absolutely amazing, showing the duality and cycle of revenge in a way i don’t think i’ve ever seen. People on here saying it’s just a bad revenge story don’t get it, it shows the complexities of revenge and the different sides so beautifully. i havent cried so hard at an ending in anything ever really. i also start sobbing whenever i hear “if i ever were to lose you”. please play and decide for yourself instead of letting these reviews get you down. an absolute masterpiece.… Expand

    This game was a emotional roller coaster that will stick with me for the rest of my life due to the lovable characters and not so lovable. And to the greater message of the whole thing. This is an amazing play and one of the best games i have ever played

    Perfection. Seriously. Anyone who criticizes the story is someone who needs a happy ending with rainbows and unicorns and has no reason to be playing this game. You will not be happy by the end of the game, I promise you, but that is the beauty of this. ND doesn't want to treat you like a child, so don't expect that. Go play animal crossing.
