    I've been playing games since my Atary1040, and was expecting much much more from this game.
    TLOU had a great story, and made a gr8 foundation for a sequel.
    And you (Naughty Dog) gave me this??? The one responsible should quit his/hers job (or be fired).

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. A masterpiece of a game. I finished it yesterday after about 32 hours, and I'm still heartbroken from that ending. It's probably the best story you'll ever see on a game. However, it is not for everybody. It's a really dark game, and it was meant to be like that. Naughty Dog clearly did not want to play it safe and went for something that was less appealing for some, but much more meaningful for the rest. I can see why some are mad about some of the major plot points, but just remember to keep and open mind. Focus on trying to feel what Ellie is feeling, instead of arguing about not liking what they did to a character. Enjoy the game!… Expand

    Jugabilidad buena, buenos gráficos, pero la principal razón del juego era la historia, es realmente una basura, si eres fan de la primera parte no te lo recomiendo no gastes 70dlls en bano.

Если я играю героем, разношу сотни врагом, то этого героя не может завалить какая-то девка в следующей части просто про между прочим. И в конце эта девка отгрызает Элли пальцы, но что мы видим после опять же нескольких сотен убитых людей - Элли ее прощает. Да какого хрена? Как это понимать? Статисты были не в чем не виноваты, а ей было на них плевать, ведь мне нужно пройти от точки А до точки Б, а они мешают. Но за этой не один косяк. В смысле я ее отпускаю? Почему? я не хочу ее отпускать, я хочу отстреливать ей по конечности в час чтоб та мучилась. Но я бы в принципе утешился и просто утопив ее по стандартному сценарию. Но я ее отпускаю! почему? это не логично. у меня даже выбора нет! Пффф... Тоже мне история мести.… Expand

    Great, real violence, fear, shock to the point I had never experienced before in any other game.
    It was one of the best games I've ever experienced, both in terms of gaming and technical graphics, and of course the storytelling, the game's music, which was a perfect masterpiece.Only in every way I had a problem with the end of the game, it could have had a much better and better ending

Сюжет принял таким каким он есть, не могу сказать что он прямо так плох, он интересен хоть и идёт вразрез с желаниями игрока. Флешбеки в игре доставляют. Короче мне понравилось 9 из 10.     Neil Druckman and Naughty Dog disrespected their entire fan base with this game. Best parts were the flashbacks to the first game. TLOU2 is absolute trash and I'll be forgetting that it exists. 0/10.

    The last of us 2 hat etwas geschafft, was kein anderes game geschafft hat. Es lässt dich über eine Sache nachdenken „was ist eigentlich das richtige und wie weit gehe ich für mein Ziel und macht es sinn dieses Risiko auf sich zu nehmen und das aller wichtigste, werde ich dann wieder glücklich sein? ". Dieses Spiel ist ein Meisterwerk und sollte geschätzt werden. ❤️

    Yo personalmente le proporciono un 9.6, es una historia increíble, cruda y difícil de digerir en un principio pero vale la pena hacer reflexión de ella y como he dicho antes depende completamente de usuario saber o no saber interpretarla.
    Respecto a la "agenda política" que mencionan los otros usuarios, depende del mismo jugador, si os molesta jugar con una mujer que tenga una preferencia diferente a la heterosexual o tratar temas de este tipo, solo recomiendo que se mantengan alejados del juego si no están dispuestos a tolerar lo anterior. Sin embargo quiero recalcar que esto no afecta para nada la trama del juego, es algo secundario que le aporta personalidad a Ellie y no probar el juego solo por esto hace que te pierdas de muchas cosas.
    Puede que algunas cosas de está trama sean difíciles de digerir, pero es que en realidad la propia existencia humana es difícil de llevar, porque somos nosotros mismos quienes nos devoramos, quienes nos destruimos y esto se ve perfectamente reflejado en el título.
    Así que jugador Yo recomiendo dar una oportunidad a esta increíble joya, que al igual que el primero hacen de tu moral una increíble lucha y si os gustan juegos de este tipo, con todo gusto recomiendo probarlo.    … Expand

    Naughty Dog director Neil Druckmann will hopefully never direct a game again after this. To take a beloved franchise and insert pandering political narratives that nobody cares about and to treat the two main characters the way he did is unforgiveable. I feel sorry for the dev team who painstakingly created such a beautiful world only to have it ruined by a truly awful narrative. OverNaughty Dog director Neil Druckmann will hopefully never direct a game again after this. To take a beloved franchise and insert pandering political narratives that nobody cares about and to treat the two main characters the way he did is unforgiveable. I feel sorry for the dev team who painstakingly created such a beautiful world only to have it ruined by a truly awful narrative. Over 70% of the naughty dog staff resigned over the treatment of this game and the staff by Druckmann. Hopefully this is the last time a blockbuster is ruined by a woke narrative and we can all learn our lesson from this but i doubt it.… Expand

All of these elements are top notch in this game. Almost feels like it could have been a next gen game because of how gorgeous this game looks. This game has taken a very different approach to part 1 and I would be lying to say that I was not worried when I finally hit the start button on the PlayStation. The detail in the world naughty dog creates is really nothing short of spectacular. As the game unfolds, the characters and their stories that play out before you brings different perspectives to the unforgiving world you have been thrown into. How anyone could be disappointed in this game is beyond me as it is flat out amazing in every way.     Остальное не выдерживает никакой критики....

    1) У Элли появилась девушка. Помню, как за неделю до выхода Логвинов и ещё некоторые обзорщики заверяли игроков, что лгбт в игре будет настолько немного, что игроки этого не заметят. Ну-ну. Да в игре на каждом углу натыкаешься на лгбт. Даже можно подслушать, как обычные NPC в разговорах обсуждают как круто быть лезбиянкой... 2) Феминизм. Это тренд последних лет, и игра ему строго следует. Здесь все завязано на женщинах. Мужчины нужны только для того чтобы ныть, жаловаться, да утешать главных героинь. Если убрать всех мужских персонажей (кроме Джоэла) - в игре ничего не поменяется. На мой взгляд единственный более менее харизматичный мужской персонаж - мальчик Лев. Только ему удалось показать, что он способен принимать решения и защищать тех, кто ему дорог. Остальные - пустые статисты, не вызывающие никаких эмоций.
    Отдельно хочу упомянуть вторую гг. Женщина - качок. В постапокалиптическом мире. Вы серьезно!? 3) Сюжет. В начале прохождения, когда убили Джоэла и стала понятна вся идея игры - месть, я представил что tlou2 будет схожа с assassin’s creed II - идеальным примером, какой должна быть месть. Но нет. Главная героиня убивает всех(и причастных, и непричастных), кроме той, за кем она проделала весь этот путь) это было бы забавно, если бы не было так грустно.
    И история Эбби выглядит как сова натянутая на глобус. У «лучшей убийцы шрамов» внезапно проснулись сострадание и совесть. Ага, очень убедительно. Прямо как конница на звездном разрушителе.
    История второй части на порядок хуже, чем история первой части! И привет Игромании и прочим изданиям, которые которые пытаются оправдать низкий рейтинг игры троллями, ботами, шпионами.... Нет! Все гораздо проще. Рейтинг такой, потому что игра - говнище! Люди недовольны из-за того что их ожидания не оправданы. Главный герой первой части слит, история первой части слита, нескончаемый поток социально-прогрессивной лгбтшной ерунды. Меня больше интересует как критики и журналисты оценивали игру.     Disappointing sequel to an amazing series. Wish i could somehow forget about it. Personally i was fine with all the LBTQ stuff but the main problem is that the developers forgets one of the main aspects that made Last Of Us 1 good and that was the relationship between Joel and Ellie. To kill of one of the fan favorite in such a way without even an honorable death and forcing the players to somehow like Abby and understand her intentions is honestly idiotic. And then the horrific ending to add on to it where the player plays through the entire game only find out that Ellie wont take revenge because of some dumb reason even though Abby bit 2 of her fingers off like jeez. The sequel is a disgrace to the Last of Us series and honestly i am really sad to say this considering how long i have been waiting for this.    … Expand

Something similar happened to me while playing it, similar to Red Dead Redemption 2, in a way that both games involve difficult themes and characters which make the game more grounded and evolved, in a way. Anyway, some parts of the plot, specially the ending, requires special level of comprehension to reach to the peak of the game and the objective of the developers.

    ANYWAYS, I have a theory that may explain all the hate towards the game.
    What if the game was intended to backfire itself from all the hate that it is receiving? Let me explain. Everyone hates Abby from that crucial moment in the first 2 hours of the game, provoquing the player to react angrily after such a loss. Then we all see different perspectives from people who lost someone, both characters with there respective father figures. The game takes us to do horrible things, even ones we don’t want to take part of, from both sides again. The game is based on hatred and grief for our loved ones, regarding both main playable characters in the game and the player! Because it feels like the game passes over to us that hate, the players, and it’s up to us if whether we decide or not to follow the line of hate the characters are carrying out. Ellie wants to take revenge from the murder of his Joel, and Abby wants to take revenge from the murder of Jerry by Joel. It’s like the cycle of violence passes by to us and makes us really hate the game for all the "bad" decisions the writer has carried out. I believe that this might not be just a coincidence but a side-intention in the plot. This is why TROY BAKER, actor of Joel, reminds us to keep an open mind while playing throughout the game, because of how we need to understand it and why players should not rush by raging about it. I know I don’t know much how to express complex ideas but this one kept going around inside my mind and I needed to write it down.    … Expand

I fully regret having bought this game, and I am trying to resell it, at least recover a part of my lost money Mechanics and enemies are quite good, the story (80% most important part) does not deserve an opportunity. Firstly, they lied with the trailers they show to us. If Abby was such an important character and we were going to be forced play half of the game with her, why did not she appear more in the trailers? What were they afraid of? Then, they use Joel character in a scene where it is actually taking place with Jessie, so lying on us, cheating on us. And not only this, there are too much contradictions between first game and this other game make impossible to emphatize with Abby. Moreover, killing such a beloved character as Joel is (and even more in the way they did) it's a misrespect to the fans, who were the ones running to buy the game at launch price. They destroyed the saga. For me, the last of us 2 never existed. The story ends / continues in Joel and Ellie going back to Jackson after he saves her from a death she even knew would happen...… Expand

Но! Мне не понравилось то, что дают играть за убийцу джоэла, мне просто хотелось убить эбби, а не проникатся к этому персонажу, меня можно понять, ибо я 7 лет любил этого персонажа, а его так жестоко убивают, как фанату-это очень больно потерять любимый тандем, так ещё и отомстить нельзя-это обидно. эту игру перепроходить несколько раз невозможно, по крайней мере для меня-слишком уж тяжело смотреть на всю боль, которую испытывают мои любимые персонажи. Ya que gráficamente, en jugabilidad, en banda sonora, nadie puede discutir que el juego es una puta locura, voy a hacer un análisis directamente en la historia. Creo que la gente hatea al juego en base a un análisis muy superficial del mismo. No creo que la historia sea mala como dice la gran mayoría. Es un mundo apocalíptico que pese a lo surrealista de los infectados, trata de ser un juego lo más realista y crudo posible, y ese realismo, es en base a los protagonistas de la historia: los seres humanos. Justamente por este motivo es que el peso de personajes importantes, no tiene efecto. El humano, por más "heroico" que sea, por más bien que nos caiga, no deja de ser eso, un humano, que es un ser mortal. Todos morimos, y podemos morir de cualquier forma. La persona más importante del mundo puede morir de la manera más estúpida o simple, por lo cual me parece un acierto a mi criterio, lo que tantos otros consideran nefasto: la muerte de Joel. Muestra como ante la muerte, somos todos iguales y nadie merece más respeto ante esta pese a su importancia en vida.
    Luego hay muchas complejidades en la narrativa que a mí gusto, ya que es algo subjetivo en cada uno, me parecen bien ejecutadas. La transformación de Ellie, el transfondo de los vínculos de Abby y su propia historia, y el paralelismo que hacen así mismo con la propia Ellie y sus vínculos. Y es que, el juego, no busca que el jugador sienta empatía por Abby, como suelo leer y escuchar por ahí, sino que, lo que busca, es que uno comprenda que el mundo va a más allá del mundo de un protagonista o un solo círculo de personas. El mundo de The Last of US, guste o no, abarca a todos, tanto a Ellie como a Abby, tanto a Jackson como a Seattle, tanto a lobos, como a luciérnagas , como a serafitas, supervivientes sin catalogar y a infectados. Y así, una situación que nos parece heroica como que Joel salve a Ellie en la primer entrega, desde otro punto de vista, desde la otra vereda, nos hace ver y entender, que lo que tiene Joel de héroe, también lo tiene de villano. Que todo acto, tiene consecuencias, le pese a quien le pese.
    El final, que a muchos les parece decepcionante, a mí me parece sublime, y es que, muestra un momento de Ellie de mucha fragilidad, y a la vez mucha fortaleza, de oscuridad y claridad. Se da cuenta que da igual que mate a Abby o no, eso no va solucionar lo que le quedó pendiente con Joel, ni tampoco va a revivirlo. Por lo cual, si la hubiera matado, todo seguiría igual que dejándola viva, nada cambiaría. Y el hecho de aceptar eso, es lo que realmente necesitaba para estar en paz consigo misma.
    Por otro lado, algo que me molesta mucho, es que una de las cosas que se crítico es que el juego es "muy inclusivo". Me parece una locura estando en 2020 que los jugadores destrocen a un juego o una historia o una trama por el hecho de visibilizar cosas de nuestra realidad. Entiendo que haya gente con más o menos apertura de cabeza, pero eso no justifica que esos elementos incluidos en la historia, son elementos de nuestra actualidad y que seguramente persistan y aumenten en los años futuros, por lo cual tenemos que aceptarlos, y creo que el juego es una oportunidad para intentarlo.
    Los desarrolladores tienen la libertad creativa de hacer lo que quieran con su historia, no tienen por qué contentar a nadie pese a que muchos aparentemente solo quieran "fan service". Mal por esas personas, se cierran únicamente a lo que les gustaría y se pierden una experiencia nueva por querer lo más fácil y más bonito.
    En síntesis, es una trama dura, cruda, mucho más oscura que la del primer The Last of US, que no cumple espectativas, caprichos o ideales, sino que es lo que es: una gran historia (en mi opinión) que nos hace encontrarnos con emocioness que no nos gustan, pero que son parte de nuestra humanidad, y nos llevan a un lugar de instrospeccion y autoevaluación como seres humanos que también somos nosotros, al igual que los protagonistas de este juego. Espero que el paso del tiempo ponga a este juego (y a su historia) en el lugar que merece.    … Expand

I will say the passing is god awful and feel like my time was being wasted in the Abby section, if that would have been spliced in with Ellie’s secontions more seamlessly I might have enjoyed the game more. BUT I think with this game and the way it plays - the player deserves a choice at the end and different ending for it. After all we are different people and we react differently to the events in the game. The choice how to end it should be ours at least once. We were robbed of that in the first game but it didn't matter, because it was fitting for the way the story was told there.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The good: stunning graphics, loved reading Ellie's journal, every scene with the guitar, all the infected art design, the new infected types, and the Joel and Ellie flashbacks, which developed their relationship beautifully.

    The mediocre: the stealth levels and scavenging got super repetitive, Seattle got stale, and Abby's friends were pretty superficially characterized. They could have done more to make the game dynamic. Environmental puzzles that are more than finding an open window. Zombie dogs. Making the wolves more competent. More vehicle mechanics and levels.

    The bad: Killing off Joel at the beginning after I invested so much in his character made the game so much worse than it could have been. The heart of the first game was the bond between Joel and Ellie and any story that put that at the core of the game would be better. Make Jackson under attack; exile Joel; have scientists show up looking for a cure. Anything with them, because Abby's story never rivaled the emotional stakes of Joel and Ellie's. The game expects you to identify with her and I just never did. Second, the supporting characters are almost all underdeveloped (Isaac, Jessie, Maria, Tommy, Dina). Third, the ending is terrible. Introducing a new purely sadistic group at the end was lazy and Ellie not taking revenge on Abby was totally inconsistent with her character.

    All together, still enjoyed this game and couldn't put it down because of how much I cared about the fate of Ellie. If there was a solid story it could have been great.    … Expand

    Stealth gameplay is solid, visuals are absolutely stunning, story wasnt perfect but i was overwhelmed by the end with emotion. I love this game but i wont be able to play through it again for a while, the story hit too close to home with loss.

Technically advanced to the first and excelling in all aspects (visuals, audio, environments, level design). Immersive atmosphere and refined gameplay with new elements. A pure gaming pleasure to experience, with the highest standards only Naughty Dog can deliver. My only let down was that the game was relatively easy even on Hard mode to finish. Solid 9/10 from me (42 years old gamer since the early 80s). I am a bit surprised with the amount of negative reviews but what can you do; I guess this game is not for everyone. But I think people were not ready at all for the story they got and I understand why they are maybe disapointed. If you expected a carbon copy of the first game, then don't even think about playing this game.

    They killed eveyone's favorite from the start and focused on the real goal of this game, to talk about vengeance! And, mid point, the story is switched to the "other point of vue"!!! This is where causual gamers got lost in translation. Naughty Dogs made us play the enemy! And tru ther story of Abby, we kind of see another world with the Seraphite and the WLF.

    But the beauty of the story is how the gameplay actually affect your idea of vengeance and how sensless all of this is becoming. And by the end, you are simply disguted by the excess of violence we are asked to be a part of and it does not make any sense anymore!    … Expand

Overall by game being a game it does well, and now for the story, those hating the story should go play games with happy endings, because this game aint like your ordinary game, it does end perfectly well that i cried from how epic and emotional it was, but some might not like it and just like Neil Druckman said that its something that they would have to live with but indeed it is perfect and definitely shows the world of TLOU in its purest! I loved the story as well as gameplay and level design, the new character Abby i also adored so damn much, she is very epic and i really got connected with her that by the end of the game i was speechless and she takes a big part in the games universe. In the end im trying to keep this review as spoiler free as possible and i highly recommend this game with a 10/10 and it really takes the cake of being one of my favorite game of all time and it is on my top 5 personal list of all time! I cant wait to see with what naughty dog brings next to the table. Disclaimer; all those negative reviews dont know what they are talking about and are just doing the negative scores because they dont have anything better to do besides creating negative bots, and only playing for less than 3 hours, so do yourself a favor and listen to people that actually finished the game, mainly reviews with scores of 7-10.… Expand

    After all, just look at RDR, RDR2 and TLOU.

    I never wanted a sequel. I know from the get go, that to make it as emotional, they’d kill Joel. Which IMO was just bad, lazy writing, but I was sure that was what they’d do.

    I was expecting a John Marston/Arthur Morgan quality story of redemption... after all, this is Naughty Dog. They thrive in story telling, don’t they?

    Nope. No they do not.
    TLOU2 takes one of them most cliched and overused plots of any bad B movie ever, and makes it into the main plot.
    Then gives up any desire for character development or even trying to stay true to what we know about these characters And destroys them immediately.
    The nice thing about TLOU was the subtle nod to Ellie being gay. Subtle being the main point... we didn’t need it rubbed in our faces, because Ellie was a great character, and so it didn’t matter what she was. It was barely a blip on the radar.
    TLOU2 takes that subtlety and beats you round the head with it so badly, that any negative comments on this game automatically get you labelled as homophobic or transphobic.

    Neil. It’s great you want to support these communities, but leave your politics out of the damn game!

    As for Joel. I can deal with character death. I do t gave to like it, but given that the RDR games are 2 of the greatest ever made IMO, I can accept it if it serves the story.

    Joel’s death does NOTHING for the story. Nothing. The man who ran over someone in the last game just because he had a “feeling” something wasn’t right, willingly goes with a group of strangers and tells them everything. He then proceeds to be beaten to death in glorious HD by a woman. The daughter of the surgeon he killed in the first game (I did mention the plot was utter dog **** didn’t I?)

    Not only are you then forced to play as the person who killed one of the most beloved characters in gaming for 10 hours, whilst we “learn” about her. Not only did I not want to know anything about her, what we did learn was boring and mundane cliched bull****.

    Then at the climax of a game all about revenge...and this game is pretty brutal. I’ve seen it described as torture porn - and that’s pretty accurate... you have your one chance of revenge taken away from you.

    I love the first one, one of the best game ever. The best things about it were story and characters. And the sequel destroyed everything i love about the first game. So heartbreaking i cant except it.

    This game is not for everyone. Some people will not be happy to play this game after playing the first, and that’s something you’ll have to understand if you choose to play the Last of Us Part 2. Graphically, the game is absolutely gorgeous and I have no complaints. I encountered almost no glitches or bugs, which was very nice. Now, onto the story. The story is what brought this game down to an 8 rather than a 9 for me. Overall, I enjoyed it. I liked what the developers were trying to do, and I was able to look past the “ludonarrative dissonance” of it all. My issues were mostly with the pacing and progression of the story. Sometimes one quest would drag on for a ridiculously long time, just to give no character insights or narrative progression. There were essentially three chunks of the game, and the first two could have been cut down considerably. Unfortunately there were also times that something would happen too quickly and receive far too little time to leave an emotional impact. I understand that in some situations this is to provide realism, but sometimes it seemed strange given the drawn out nature of some aspects of the story. Contrary to popular opinion, I enjoyed the ending. I think it perfectly illustrated the theme of forgiveness. The problem with this is the amount of time we were forced to play a game about revenge. If this game was closer to 15-20 hours, I absolutely think it would be easier to understand that this game isn’t about revenge, it’s about forgiveness. I also have other problems with the narrative, but I think they’re mostly subjective, and if you go into the game unbiased, there’s an chance you will like them and a chance you will dislike them. Overall, I think this game is getting a bad rap from people who have never played it. If you play it and dislike it, I respect your opinion and want to hear where you’re coming from. I liked it, so try to go into it unbiased, and you might too!… Expand

    The last of us part 2 is an impressive game at a graphic level and the game play is acceptable, but what stands out the most is its new story, which is a risky story and even ahead of this time, but removing all that, it is a very solid story and well managed, from the well developed characters, the script and how it is narrated, it is a story that you will not forget about it.

    In conclusion, it is a spectacular video game with beautiful graphics, a well-made soundtrack and a memorable story.

    don't deserve to be a LOU game

First and for most I am a big fan of the first entry, platinum’d the game and have developed a fond relationship with Joel and Ellie as the protagonist. I just want to say that they could have taken this tale in any of many directions they could. But the one they chose out of those were the worst of the lot. Be warned coming in that the tale told here will cause your stomach and emotion to steer in all different directions. As you may know by now, Joel deserves better, I mean in any other way, I was all for Joel going out; but not like this. An agenda that did a deservice to the original, I mean why?! Graphics and presentation are great but the story.... Well let’s just say it’s... different.… Expand
