I usually don't write reviews but I had to come here give my opinion.

I get that maybe this is not a game for everybody, but still is a great game, all the tecnical achivements, the direction of scenes made the game look like a movie. I personnaly loved it, I never felt what i felt while playing this game: anger, confusion, fear, remorse etc. I sincerily think this is the second best

This game isn't perfect. But it's close. I didn't like the controls when combat got busy, and the graphics on certain characters didn't seem to be as high quality as the main cast.
The story, however, was fantastic, as to be expected. A few hiccups and one or two spots when I might've scratched my head a bit, but nothing to jarring. Not sure when I'll play it again, but I definitely will.

Disregarding the scavenging that got a bit repetitive by the end, I enjoyed the gameplay. I found myself becoming fairly immersed in the story and it ended up being a moving experience for me.

I just finished the game and it was fantastic. I'll try to keep this spoiler free, the gameplay was fun and kept me on my toes and felt pretty realistic most of the time. The story was very good I still don't understand all the hate I really don't think it's deserves. I would say if you are on the fence give it a try.

    Gráficos 10/10
    Jugabilidad 10/10
    Historia 9/10

Cons: some parts drag and the game on my first play through felt slightly long. Subsequent playthroughs felt just right, though. The narratives on the collectibles were just not as memorable to me as in the first game, like when tracking Ish through his notes, or the doctor's notes in the hospital.
Part 2 is also a bit more emotionally draining than TLOU-1. Gameplay and trophy-hunting is a bit too easy.
    Also, no multiplayer :(

I've completed the game twice, once on the Survivor+. I feel if you don't pay close attention to all the game dialogue and information on collectible notes, much of what the game is going for will be lost on you.
It's definitely a game I'll return to and play favorite chapters and sequences again.

I personally really enjoyed the entirety of the game but I will say you need an open mind to truly grasp what the writers are trying to convey in the message of this game. My main issue with the storyline: I did feel as though characters introduced were not as gravitating or compelling as the characters from the previous game such as Bill/Tess/Sam. While many found the game to be controversial, I do feel as though you need to experience this game to formulate your own opinion. Even if you don’t vibe with the storyline, it’s undeniably an entertaining and beautiful game that raises the bar for future games out there. A definite contender for Game of The Year. Expand

This game is beautifull, the lighting, the graphics are really good. The story may seem a bit different, and wil probably shock you. The story shows how awfull it can be to lose someone, and how revenge is not the best way to lose those feelings. It is a really good game, no doubt.

Just sayin' : TLOU is the story of a postapocalyptic Universe SEEN by Ellie/Joel's eyes, that's NOT "THEIR LIFE IN A GAME" (This is evident in chapter II ).
I'm so proud of Druckman's Direction, proud of the compositors, editors, concept artists, designers...and all the people behind this amazing project.
I hope they're not gonna give importance to sterile and unsense comments of people that probably doesn't understood the meaning of the whole adventure, just criticizing ignorantly about "plot-holes" or "this character had not to to act like this, this was like this gne gne gne!"... ****
I'm not giving 10 cause of things/mechanics in game limited not by the deveopers but the hardware capacity of actual generation consoles (fire/explosions range for example).
    Thanks Neil, thanks Naughty Dog!

I can see why some people may get upset because of certain events that happen (no spoilers here) but I truly believe that once that happened they immediately stopped playing the game and said 'F' this. I feel bad for those kind of gamer's because they can't see how different in story this game is telling. This one dwells on revenge and the feelings that accompany with it such as pain and suffering. It has it's heart moments but it's nowhere near where the first game was in it's story and I'm okay with that because I don't want another copy and paste game. If I had to break it down and sum it up, Part II is a masterpiece in it's game play, sound design, acting, motion capture, and all that jazz. But the story for me (which I loved in the end) isn't better than the first game WHICH IS OKAY. I loved Abby's character and sure I was heartbroken with what she did but she grew on me and I want to see more of her and her new sidekick in another game. If Neil and Naughty Dog decide to make a Part III, I would want the trilogy to come to it's conclusion by finding a cure and have Ellie do what she thought she was meant to do meaning, the first game d'welled with purpose, this with revenge, finale with redemption.

Please buy this game and give an open minded opinion on this. If you still dislike the game, that's okay. But finish the game and give the story and it's characters a chance before making your final thoughts.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Honestly, the negative reviews that complain about Joel dying really didn't understand the story. If you stopped playing just because your white male hero died, you completely didn't understand or didn't want to understand the story. If you didn't want to play as Abby, you didn't understand or didn't want to understand the story. The story was deep, complicated, and let two young women be complete characters without needing to be a man's sidekick. The only issue for me was Ellie giving up everything just because Tommy stopped by to whine about his sob story; that made no sense and turned her back into the cliché 'daughter', the female character in video games who only does things because they're motivated by a dude. Other than that, the surroundings were beautiful, the acting was amazing, and the violence was gruelling, which is what it was supposed to be in a post-apocalyptic hellscape. Well done, Naughty Dog. If you were looking for Red Dead, Saints Row or GTA, you should've bought that instead. Expand

Independent of time, this game will make you feel what it is like to be a human being struggling to survive a (much more severe) pandemic, and does so without pandering to the age-old game narrative of "good" vs "bad. Towards the end, I felt like **** and wanted the game to end a few hours earlier. But I'm not even mad - IIn retrospect, I enjoyed the grueling last few hours.

My only complaints are that the game mechanic of searching every corner of the level after killing everyone somewhat breaks the pace, and at times it is incredibly frustrating to be searching for a safe code and accidentally go past that level's point of no return, causing you to save before every door out of fear of having to redo the chapter. These both break the immersion, but not enough to remove more than 1 point from my score.

There is also the occasional bug (e.g. reloading levels changes items, and sometimes I was shot into space or stuck in walls). No big deal.

Do yourself a favor and play this game and explore the way you feel while doing it. Even if you are upset about certain beats in the story. It is only a story, and if you pay attention, it takes you to interesting places.

The notably wide variety of interpretations, controversy and opinions is telling of that. This is not a clean cut plotline with a twist here or there. There are so many layers and depth to all of the characters and the fact that they tied it all together so well is incredible.

As someone who loves good storytelling in video games, this is an experience you cannot miss. If you can, it's worth trying to experience this game without any of the spoilers. This story is as much about the execution as it is the plot.

The gameplay is tense, fluid and strategic. There is a good mix of different human and zombie enemies, and you can either sneak or fight your way through a situation. It makes noticeable incremental improvements on the first game, while not changing what works. Sometimes the looting can get a little bit repetitive. I would say the game is perhaps a bit longer than it needs to be.

There is a great low-guitar score, top quality voice acting, and the environments are gorgeous. Post-apocalyptic Seattle is rendered with beautiful weather and very realistic details. Having been to the city, I was surprised how familiar they made it.

This game is not going to be an easygoing experience with cartoon-happy endings. It depicts a dark, ugly, violent post-apocalypse in a very human way.

But forget what reviews on the internet say - this is a narrative you need to experience for yourself, with as few spoilers as possible. Go out and try it!

the graphics are well done and you enjoy and live the atmosphere

the gameplay was very good, and the inclusion was something not very important to highlight the game, but it was regular, but it doesn't make it a bad game.

Regarding the negative comments and the absurd qualifications, I assume that they are people who only let themselves be carried away by others who do not understand the complex psychology that has a game, I only think of homophobic people and who cry like crib children for death a character that he did not die heroically.

Made an account just to review this game. I loved it. Brilliant, risky storytelling, amazing graphics, intense gameplay. Naughty Dog really outdid themselves by telling a graphic, relatable, heartbreaking story with amazingly fleshed out characters and splendid direction.

It's a dangerous world. Everyone's got reasons for their actions, even if those actions seem to others to be evil, or doomed.

IMO there's nits to pick and the story goes off the rails a bit, but overall amazing.

Namely, there is a transgendered character in the game, and although the game's narrative handles this with grace, there was an online campaign against the game due to supposed "social justice warrior" themes.

I went into this game having played the original, including DLC, and ranking that game among my all-time favorites. I also tempered my expectations due to the online backlash against this game's story themes, as I hate ham-fisted social commentary.

Having completed The Last of Us Part II, and thoroughly enjoying it, I can say that the online backlash is unfounded. The story is rich and nuanced, and although it could be described as long-winded being 30 hours, it delivers a bittersweet ending that begs for another sequel. Seriously, any emotionally mature human would feel for these characters, and enjoy seeing this world through their point-of-view.

The only reason I'm not giving this game a perfect 10 is out of spite for what the developers did to my beloved favorite character. I understand that the game wouldn't have been nearly what it was without that plot point, but I can't let it go. And I am also aware of the irony that the game made me care so much about an imaginary person that I am taking it out online, almost like the review bombers.

Interesting, dark and realistic story, I love how the developers took several risks to create a story that we’ll never forget. It was difficult to accept Abby but at the end you realize that her intentions were as valid as Ellie’s an Joel’s... the world ain’t just black and white.

Absolutely amazing game. No other game like it.
First things first: The game looks, sounds and plays amazingly. I stopped a few times and thought to myself " I can't belive they made a game that looks this good". Environments are stunning, but the thing that stood out most immediately to me, were the INSANELY well done facial animations and body animations. Second to NONE right now.

Story and writing: Blew me away what they did for the medium. Won't spoil anything, but playing trough the, lenghty, campaign it grabbed me like a great HBO series has. GoT season 1, Chernobyl. Great writing IMO. Better than, the already good, first game by a long mile.
Gameplay was good, maybe not amazing, but plenty good for a game where the narative is the focus.

I can't reccommend this game enough, but please: set the mood before playing it. Headphones, no screaming friends around, no distractions. Take the time, make the commitment to get through it. Accept that the game wants to provoke feelings from the player. I hope you like it, but even if you don't I hope you at least try it.
I have deducted 1 star, since the company allegedly has some rather problematic issues concerning overworking the staff. This needs to change in the industry.

By the end of the game I felt just like the characters, I was exhausted and ready for it be over. I had so many different emotions during my playthrough all the way through the end to the credits where I tried taking time to reflect on them. I grew tired of the running, tired of the fighting, tired of the cat and mouse games and wanted it to end, and yet one simple question could answer how I felt. Was it worth the play? YES. The team that made this game played me like a fiddle, and I went along willingly. It was only until I got to the end that I realized this. They sucked me in, and I'm glad they did. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Before I get into it, I have played the game and have finished it. So I have put in the however many hours it took to get it done. This is an outstanding game and it is some of the best writing for a video game you are going to experience. There is one caveat to my time with it. I am new to the Last of Us franchise, so I did not have the experience of "waiting years for this." I played through part 1 and then immediately dove into part 2, so it is certainly possible that improved my experience. There are some plot holes and some character's behave in ways that are very inconsistent. These things did not detract from my experience at all.

Yes, the game's heroine is a lesbian, GASP! And there are female/female love making scenes, GASP! For the trolls that have highlighted this as the main problem, SMH.

Yes, Joel dies very early on in the game. I know this has been a major bone of contention for many. And, as you work through the game, it turns out, Abby was probably more justified in killing him than Ellie is in avenging him. Dude killed Abby's Dad. Come on people. Ellie also finds out that Joel was completely lying to her, in a major way.

I am glad to see the gamer ratings going up for this game. It shows that people are actually working through it and figuring out the trolls are trolls. Hopefully one of the trolls has also actually played it and discovered the errors of their ways. Somehow I doubt that though.

As for the game play, it's not perfect and the main reason I am not going with a 10 rating. Many have called the game play, "clunky" and I think this is a good description for it. The game is also close combat heavy. Which is fine, and I would have appreciated more opportunity for long distance sniping. I was disappointed that you don't get access to a silenced long gun until the last 2 hours or so of the game.

All this being said, I really enjoyed playing The Last of Us, Part 2 and I cannot wait until the end of the trilogy on the PS5 ... If part 2 looked this good, damn, just wait for 3 ..

From the start, the story is gripping and has a far more complex, engaging structure than its predecessor. The game flashes backwards frequently to provide the context for decisions Ellie (and others) just made. The result is a very well-developed universe where genuine character development is possible. I won't spoil anything, of course, but TLOU2 is a treat from the first to the last minute. Some reviews on here and elsewhere are hard on the game for its social justice, LGBTQ themes (again no spoilers from me). Such bad press is unwarranted and unfortunate considering the genuine quality on display by the team at Naughty Dog. I'm pretty sure that some gay/transgender people would survive the apocalypse, and the population left around to deal with the infected would harbour some of the prejudices and presuppositions our society faces today. The game does a good job of demonstrating how existing issues survive the outbreak. Anyways...story is top-notch, and the performance by Ashley Johnson as Ellie is even better than before. TLOU2 will go down as one hell of a final hurrah for the PS4. I do hope there's a Part 3 on PS5, if, however, they can find a story as compelling as Part 2. If not, then Part 2 will be the finale of a terrific, very memorable series. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Let me say that I didn't see any spoilers/leaks before my play through and did not watch any reviews on the game until i finished it. Now the gameplay in my opinion is very very smooth and only gets boring for me at the end of the game, when you get to play as Ellie again. My high points were fighting the rat king as abby, the car scene with Jesse and the Chase scene with Dina on the end of the first day. Now to the people out there that are hating on the game, half the people I hear complaining about it have not even played the game and just see how everyone is hating on it and watches one review and then says its a bad game. NO STOP IT, play the game, and then have your opinion. Now my honest thoughts on the game, I loved it, and thats enough. The ending wasnt unfullfilling, if you were expecting the story to go the way you wanted/expected thats just wrong to think that way. Just because Joel died doesn't make it a bad game, his death wasn't handled porely, he for the past 4 years has been trying to become a better person, so is everyone at tommy's place as shown through letters, also having us play as Abby was fine, we were so set on hating her for killing joel as we all had that connection with Joel but if we are able to keep an open mind we see how horrible his actions really were and that they did have to bit him in the back at some point. The story was all that it needed to be, and thats all that it was, a story. Now please be respected to your own opinion and don't let people steer your opinion to something its not. Just because I loved this game doesn't mean you have too, but just because alot of people hate it doesn't mean you do as well. Expand

Their was a few story choices I didn’t agree with and the game can be kind of slow at times, but when I look back I still enjoyed the hell out of this game.

It has the best graphics for a game on the PS4, the sound design is fantastic, the musical score enhances each scene and encounter, with fun gameplay. The story, although does not compare to the first game, it does deliver a emotional story even through again, I may not agree with some of the directions the game takes. The story does bring up interesting themes and philosophies that made me and my Girlfriend talked about, way after the credits had rolled.

All an all I had a great experience playing this game and one that I will remember.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Everyone knows that this game's gameplay, graphics and atmosphere is excellent, even haters couldn't deny that. The story is what has been discussed so much since the release date of TLOU2. Many people harshly criticized its story and tagged it as 'poor and lazy story'. Seeing all these criticize just makes me shocked. A lazy story would be Ellie and Joel travelling the country again, maybe they would have disharmony and they would get seperated from each other then they would forgive themselves and game would be finished. I am sure that if the story were this, everyone would give it 10/10 and call it 'masterpiece and amazing story'. But, ND didn't want to write a cliche story and they killed Joel. Although Joel was one of my favourite character, he should have died and paid what catastrophe he has caused. When he saved Ellie, all of us said that we would have done the same thing in order not to lose our daughter twice but Joel destroyed the only hope and chance of this world by killing the doctor who was able to make the cure. Actually, all the wars between Seraphites and W.L.F or the other deaths are because of Joel and he paid the price with his death. Many people were unable to connect with Abby since they were not emphatizing with her. Abby lost her father, her idol, and she still keeps having nightmares because of that. Also, she can't have a initial relationship with the other people because of her seek of revenge. I claim that all of us would have killed Joel without any hesitation if we had been Abby. And, it is what the story tries to tell us; everyone has their reason to commit some bad things, what we do without empathizing and what we do because of our seek of revenge or comfront is just going to damage yourself. Confront will cause confront and all of us should learn how to forgive someone. Abby killed Joel, then Ellie killed Abby's friends because of her confront, then Abby shot Tommy because of her twinge of revenge and it kept going like that and neither of them got what they were up to. Ellie kept having nightmares because of Joel's death and wanted to take revenge on Abby but when they faced with each other, when she was about to kill Abby, she took the memory of Joel in which he was happy and peaceful, so she understood that forgiving is what would soothe her and it was what she must have done. If she hadn't done that, Lev would have lost her Abby and that would be what Abby had done to Ellie by killing Joel. Ellie had already lost her girlfriend, Tommy, Jesse and her ability to play guitar, the only reminiscent of Joel, so she broke the chain and didn't keep punishing innocent people. Because everyone has their own reasons and own initial relationships to do sth and punishing them will only cause more confront and more damage. This is what Neil Druckmann told us in this story and I would prefer this story all over again to a story that was created only to make fans happy. So, before judging and criticizing this masterpiece story, please think about if you understood what this story tried to tell you and then make a comment about it. This game is a real masterpiece. Very good gameplay and a difficult story that not everyone is going to like, and that's okay.

Excellent game with an actual challenge on normal setting, only reason I dropped to a 9 was the lack of choice for the final outcome story wise.

Solid graphics and smooth gameplay, good story and lengthy game

Personally, I think the game is a tense ride all the way through, and it had my insides all twisted up, but I really liked that, actually. It is an unforgiving and cathartic emotional experience, and I quite loved it. I am gearing up to play it again when my emotional reserves fill again. This game gave me closure the firsg one didn't, and I loved its ultimately hopeful ending.

Graphically one of the best games I've played. I enjoy the gameplay and really don't find it that outdated, it's fun. The story I would say is fine, I understood what they were trying to do and I liked it, although I do wish they took a different direction I can't complain because I still loved the game.

An excellent part 2 that lived up to my expectations. Makes you think about the consequences of clinging too much to your past.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. It’s a great game, I haven’t seen a game with visuals like this, it’s pretty impressive the level of realism and details this game has. Set high the bar. the gestures and conversations in each dialogue are enjoyable, maintains a high level of interest in the player, goes from more to more, the story cannot be liked by many but the message came perfectly to me, we always tend to demonize those who believe the enemy without knowing what drives the character, we never thought in theirs interests, they are just people trying to revenge as Ellie wants to. I played this game and felt short for me but it wasn’t, it’s the story, mechanics, the gameplay, the tension, all in one make a great cocktail in this game. Personally I prefer this game over first one, I understand the rage of the people and fans but we have to remember there are no heroes here, just persons with the bad and good what represents being humans, I love Joel but I know he did bad things for his convenience. The inclusion it’s not forced, it’s very organic and represents the reality of some people, Abby is a great character but at the first I hated her because the game wants you to hate her, when I started playing with her I wanted to turn off the game, but advancing you understand why, I don’t love Abby but I understand, and I sympathize with her, I’d do the same, but we already know the cost of that. This game once you finish it, let you thinking and thinking, reflecting and you love it more, I felt is a path of hard emotions won’t let you with a good feelings, it’s bitter, in fact I didn’t want to play again the game just remembering what that entailed, but I did and saw other thing I didn’t when I played it for the first time, places, dialogues, collectibles etc. This deserves the must play stamp, give it a opportunity it’sa very personal game. A great game. Naughty Dog did a great job! My only complaint is they could have separated the main character archs a little better by switching between Ellie and Abby more often. The story writers brought to light some current events without those current events taking over the story. People who hate the game because of that are just narrow minded individuals. The graphics were great. There were a few hiccups, but rarely is a game perfect on release day. The companion mechanics could have been more fleshed out but it's alright, not game breaking. In conclusion, I loved the game. They kept Ellie true to who her character is, and introduced a new character that I would love to see more of in future installments. Keep up the great work Naughty Dog!!! Expand

Aborda temas controversos, mas de uma forma ótima. Te coloca na pele do "inimigo" e te faz sentir empatia.

    O gameplay é excelente e a história é perfeita.

O único ponto negativo é a extensão do jogo, demorei 30h para terminar, achei um pouco longo. Único motivo da nota ter sido 9 ao invés de 10.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The Last of Us II was a dark masterpiece that I throughly enjoyed. Despite the initial backlash of the game and review bombing, the game is actually holding up. Hopefully reviews will rise soon. The game is very very good, it isn’t for everyone though. The story is quite bittersweet and a little more on the bitter and dark side, but truly shows a raw post apocalypse. It shows many very human moments and deserves to be game of the year and one of the best I’ve every played. Most people who review bombed the game bombed it for selfish, homophobic, or trolling reasons. The game is not bad and I hope to see the score continue to rise. The game is great and I loved it. I do miss Joel, but damn Naughty Dog some how got me to like Abby and her character. Ellie’s path through the game was dark and fantastic. There is so much loss in this game but it feels very real and grounded. The setting was also beautiful and unique, I loved traveling through Seattle and seeing all that the game had to offer. I feel like the third act was a little short and a little unneeded, but I loved the ending fight, and god the ending scene with Ellie and Joel just made me cry. It’s a beautiful game, one of the first stories I was not able to put down once I got into it. The game is definitely worth a shot and definitely worth a high review. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I went into this game with the expectation that Ellie would find out what Joel did. I also expected that someone would kill Joel, though not as early as it happens. So I started off hating Abby and ready to kill her as soon as the game would allow.

But then it makes you play as her and I swear I was so mad at first because I didn't want to like her and her friends. She grew on me a little, especially with how she handled the kids, and I adored Manny and felt so bad for Abby's treatment of Owen. These characters were very well fleshed out.

The came could have ended with Ellie and Dina on the farm, but the actual ending resonated in a way that I think is important for story-telling. Life isn't all happy endings. Ellie was out for vengeance and in the end lost more than she gained. But she also learned to forgive herself and to forgive Joel, something that she wasn't given enough time to do when he was alive. It wasn't what I expected to happen in the end, but I'm glad for it.

Gameplay wise: The bow was a ton of fun to use. I wished for more arrows all the time (especially with Abby's crossbow). I played on Easy so I cannot comment on enemy AI as they totally should have seen me many times and only just sort of saw me before I hit to stealth kill them. Thank god for Ellie's knife because shivs were the worst in the first game. The enemies all having names was a nice touch.

I liked the open world type area of Seattle a lot and I actually wish we had another section like that (maybe in Santa Barbara to get us a little more ingratiated with the Rattlers as that part did feel a little rushed and it was weird introducing a new faction so late in the game).

I think the game did a good job of building up things like the war between the Seraphites and the Wolves and I can understand where some people may have not liked the lack of a payoff, but I think that's what makes it brilliant. Ellie and Abby don't just set aside their differences to team up and take down Issac, who's gone mad with power. They stay selfish and they get out. Abby takes Lev and gets out. Ellie is defeated by Abby and leaves. The two factions are left to deal with themselves. They don't matter to Ellie, who's not even from around Seattle, has no stake in the game, and isn't a super hero. They don't matter to Abby, who's only friends in the group are dead, who feels the need to protect Lev, and who ultimately wants to find the Fireflies again since her one mission in life, get revenge on Joel, has been dealt with already.
Could the two groups have learned to put aside their differences and work together? Who are the Elders who take child wives and clearly twisted the original words of the Prophet to suit themselves? What would happen to the WLF now that Issac is dead?
Having answers to these questions would be nice for an audience, but they don't really effect our main characters anymore. I would love some side novels about these things. That would be cool.

I will definitely be playing a second time and getting the Platinum for the game because it is a game worth experiencing again.

From a gameplay standpoint Last of Us 2 is business as usual for Naughty dog. There's been some deepening of the core loop of combat/stealth/scavenge as well as some tightening of the controls. From a gameplay standpoint Last of Us 2 is business as usual for Naughty dog. There's been some deepening of the core loop of combat/stealth/scavenge as well as some tightening of the controls. However there's nothing groundbreaking from a mechanical standpoint, it all functions as you'd expect (for better and worse).

Where this game earns it's rating is in it's presentation and narrative. This is by far one of the most impressive games I've played when it comes to visual/audio design, this goes from environmental design all the way through to voice acting and foley work. There are some truly jaw dropping moments of beauty (and horror) throughout this game and i can't find any major fault with the game on this front.

However where this game will sink or swim is in it's narrative. There's no question it's a divisive story and a lot of your reception to the game will depend on you're ability to "roll with the punches" of the story until it's conclusion. It's not perfect, the pacing sags in the middle due to a certain narrative choice . Said choice will also be a challenge to players ability to empathise that some people will be unable to overcome (through no fault of their own).

I can understand why people dislike the story, however for me the story beats struck home and the underlying theme of the narrative really resonated with me. Hence the strong positive rating.

It's dark and does not conform to the expected norms of games, but it is excellent in terms of gameplay and is without peers in the way that it conveys a story. I can't bring myself to give a 10 to a game that ripped my heart from my chest and stomped on it, but I probably should. It moves the medium forward.

Overall the game is great, the gameplay, the cinematics, the conversations, the environment. I has a great experience and while I agree the story had its weird turning points I believe it doesn't blow the entire game. if you haven't played it because of what other users say, I highly recommend you do it, don't let others decide for you whether a game is good or not.

The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
