Although the final scene wasn't the one we were expecting, the game brought all kind of feelings at the moment of playing it, graphics and also the sounds are TOP, also the gameplay it self felt so smooth and real at the moment of playing it, I didn't give the game a 10 just because of how they tried tod do the history

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view.

Although the story is divisive, it worked for me. From a technical aspect (mechanically and graphically), the game is probably the best game ever made. Story-wise, I thought the risks paid off, but it was ever so slightly bogged down by some pacing issues and its overdrawn length. It’s not as good as the first, but it’s still a remarkable feat not only technically but in storytelling as well.

IMO the first game is still better and the story is more focused on the characters and everything around them. My favorite part of the second game were the flashbacks, they were everything I wanted to know after the first game ended. 9/10
I replayed the first game on Monday, finished it on Thursday and started playing part II on Friday to finish it on Sunday. Playing both games like that gives you another perspective.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view.

Intense and challenging gameplay. The encounters balance stealth and brutal combat in an awesome way. The story is wavers a bit but has dark, dreadful second half that I won't be forgetting anytime soon.

This game is art in its brutality.

    Pros:
Gameplay. The game improved upon the first in almost every way. Combat is more fluid with dodging, diving, improved animations and fluidity of movement, and more fun thanks to some fun new weapons like bomb arrows. Stealth is more fun than ever thanks to additions like going prone, crafting silencers, enemy dogs (which make the stealth harder, but the extra challenge adds more fun), hiding in grass of varying heights, improved communication and teamwork between enemies, and more.
Writing. The writing itself is great, whether you agree with the overall story or not. Individual conversations and lines are great, even if the occurrences of fun conversations are fewer and further between. The mid-combat dialogue feels more natural (although it's still peppered with the scripted "I think I saw something. > Go check it out, I'll watch your back") and enemies react better to my actions.
Visuals: This game looks amazing. The animations in particular are top-notch, some of the (if not THE) best in the industry.
Story: Great, but definitely not for everyone. People angry about Joel's death are upset *because that's how you're supposed to feel about it.* You're supposed to be outraged. But Naughty Dog made the mistake of thinking people could contextualize their anger within the game like rational beings instead of at the developers. The story is brutal. It's hard to experience. But it's very well-made. You're *supposed* to be angry and confused when you have to play as Abby. The whole point is that it shines a light on how we view Joel as this hero when he *wasn't.* The cycle of revenge was portrayed extremely well in this story. "Uhh, but she didn't get revenge!" Yea the whole point was that Ellie lost herself when she lost Joel, and Abby lost herself when she lost Jerry (and almost lost herself again later when she lost her friends). People who missed this didn't listen to Joel's song, "If I ever were to lose you, I'd surely lose myself." Letting go and putting an end to the cycle was the only way to truly move on and find themselves again. It was a beautiful message that was beautifully told.

    Cons:
Gameplay: A hell-bent revenge mission doesn't seem as realistic when I'm stopping to pick up notes constantly. Very small detail, but something I couldn't help but chuckle at. As far as difficulty, even on Survivor I found that I had a lot of stuff to spare at most times. I play fairly stealthily, meaning not lots of molotovs or bombs, which contributes to this, but still. I feel like a good way to make resources feel scarcer would be capping our carried resources at 2 instead of 3 on higher difficulties.
Writing: I personally don't understand the "Joel would never say his name" complaint, but I'll leave that here since it's such a common complaint and one that may be reasonable. Personally, I feel as though he followed Tommy's lead (and Tommy has been living in Jackson much longer so he's likely softer).
Visuals: idk there were a couple of visual bugs that were funny? No real complaints here.
Story: Abby's tale should have lined up better with Ellie's, where we're playing the other side of the story, but that would have been difficult considering she was the only enemy in those areas of the game (not the Seraphites). I just was excited to go through and see the effects of Ellie's actions from her point of view and we don't really get that until the aquarium on Day 3. The Seraphites seemed to contradict a lot of what Naughty Dog accomplished with the WLF. The WLF broke the trope of being the generic nameless enemies. They may have seemed pure evil after the events early in the game, but we see that's not the case later on when we get to play as Abby and see the amazing communities they've established. They're just like Jackson. The Seraphites are just evil, and presented as such at every turn. They're a violent, fanatical cult without any positive contributions to the world, and they're not even doing it out of desperation to survive like villains from the first game. They're just *evil* and it's so out of place within the rest of the game.

Coming off the first game, there was almost no way a sequel could live up to it and satisfy everyone. Some people think this means they shouldn't have made it, and that's one argument to be made. People say Star Wars should have been left alone, but each new movie deserves to be judged on its own merits, not just "the originals were amazing and we should've let it die with dignity." Same goes for this. You can think the original is better. But rating this game anything below like a 6 shows you're not truly critiquing the game, you're just ranting.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The Last of Us Parte 2 es la última entrega de Naughty Dog, y a pesar de su poco tiempo en el mercado una de las más grandes.
Lanzado el 19 de junio de 2020, The Last of Us 2 a causado mucha controversia entre los usuarios y la prensa con su impactante historia y narrativa.

    Historia y Narrativa:

Honestly, even if you don't like the story, the graphics and the amazing gameplay make it deserve more. It's not a 10/10 for me because the gameplay it's kinda of repetitive sometimes and I would change some things in the narrative to make abby more likeable, because I think she deserves the empathy that ND tries to cause on us, but her introduction to the story messed it up, I only started to like her when I saw her completely destroyed. The narrative is realistic I think that's why you're all so triggered. Nobody is a hero or a villain and the characters are unpredictable and I love that. The game is unique and totally satisfied my expectations of crying for a week. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Expand

I do agree that we played as Abby a little to much, but i grew to understand why she did what she did and actually agreed with what she did because of the death of her dad. I would have done the same thing in that situation.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This game is amazing! I was very reluctant about buying initially due to all the bad reviews, however I am so glad I did get it. I was a big fan of the last of us and enjoyed this game just as much, if not more than the original. The way the game manages to turn you from hating abby for what she did, to really understanding her actions is something I've never seen in a game before. Ellie will always be my favourite of the 2, however her actions throughout are just as violent as abbys. The way they build abbys character through lev and yara is one of my favourite parts about the game. It's probably an unpopular opinion but I'm glad they didn't kill each other and both realised the damage revenge and bitterness can have. All that being said however, I do agree that Joel's death was the most heartbreaking moment of the game and he was definitely missed but that meant the flashback moments felt more emotional. The graphics are the best I've seen in a ps4 game. Finally the gameplay is brilliantly tense, I constantly felt on edge throughout. The only reason this isn't a ten is,as great as the gameplay is, it can get slightly repetitive however it is only a very minor issue in an amazing game. Expand

I saw one leak that came out 2 months before the game. It was a horrible(for a character) and major plot point. I sat there and thought well I need context. So I stayed away from anything related till I played the game for myself. I finished it last night. Feeling Satisfied yet I didn't always feel that way and I think that was the point. Game play was taken to the next level. Fun and fluid. Getting excited when looting for ammo and upgrades. Feeling terrified when you hear a Clicker or Seeing a Runner dash past you or the Roar of Shambler. When you encounter the infected you must be aggressive. Humans are a little more complex because they have gun, dogs, and tend to rally against you so stealth is mostly a good option. 60% you play as Ellie and her quest for revenge for the loss of a loved one. The other 40% is a new character Abby. The Game plays off the events of part I that bleed into part II. 3 days are with Ellie and those same 3 days as Abby and the ending is the Collision. Abby is hard to put empathy on because of her choice at the beginning of the game. When you play as her you don't care but the game continues to show she was justified and is a decent human but it's hard to turn Babyface (good guy) when you have nuclear heat as a Heel.(bad guy) In this post apocalyptic world good and bad isn't enough it's more grey. It's interesting to see a character you care about turn to revenge and how dark that takes you even if it's out of love. Flipside take a character you don't like and make selfless choices to help others then you begin to feel empathy. The Last of Us is still very much about Joel and Ellie. The scene at the Museum had my smiling and in tears. The Jurassic Park references in that was amazing and loved that. The Father/Daughter relationship is still the core. It's complex. It has to answer the hard questions left by part I. While I don't agree with every story choice doesn't mean it's a bad game and I feel like fans can't get past certain choices and won't experience it for themselves which I kinda get but you have to play the game NOT watch cut scenes to understand the journey. Also the graphics are Apex for PS4! So beautiful to look at. The Last of Us was one the greatest video games. While I don't think Part II surpasses it. I think it's a worthy sequel. The Last Cut scene was sad yet happy.

This game made me feel so many things. Some positive and some negative but none of the negative ones had to do with the quality of the game. I feel some people were primed to hate the game because they heard reviews about others who hated it and thus that set the tone for them.

The gameplay is smooth and free almost entirely of bugs, the level design is impeccable, the acting is phenomenal, and (what most people had issues with) the story is gritty, dark, and exhausting in the best way possible. I will steer clear of spoilers for the sake of encouraging others to play. In my experience, I went into this with the mindset of "this will be about Ellie and a very different narrative from the first game". While certain parts made me very sad the results, which you need to look at from a human perspective and not a video game perspective, are beautiful. Each character that you get to meet and understand a little bit more about them and their relationship with others although brief at times is just enough to send the message of "this person was important to so and so and now they are gone, they have lost someone dear to them".

You get to watch characters that you will grow to care about descend into a darker part of their mind than they thought they would. You get to observe how for some loss is not tied to only the death, but also to the loss of hope for all the times they fought and will never get to make up for, all the times they laughed which will never be shared again, and all the ways they shaped you into who you are which you may now come to learn, you can no longer be.

Some of the deaths, although sudden, do reflect the reality of loss. You can't predict when it will happen and it can be jarring when it is sudden and violent. It can cause anger and in the worst cases violence in those mourning.

Some view the game as pretentious, trying too hard to show people the dangers of revenge to others and to the self. I can appreciate that feeling. It was a long game and really worked to make the players feel defeated by the end and ready for something new. For me though, that is exactly why the game works. You can tell how each character is exhausted and wants to stop, but something in them keeps them from doing so and makes them blind to their actions until they do something that makes them think "is this too far?".

This was not the Last of Us (1). This was the Last of Us part 2. Ellie is grown up, she knows things now about Joel and her past and she, as well as the other characters, will be far more complex because of this. This was a Beautiful game, I am on my second playthrough right now and my advice for those hoping to play it: the game is human emotions at their most raw and violent, each character is connected to the others in some way. Remember that when thinking about how you are not connected to a certain character another is or when you are tired of the quest and the struggle, so are they.

I hope this was helpful and made some sense!

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. A gorgeous, captivating journey that was viscerally challenging in a way I’ve never experienced before. A tale of grief and healing, foremost, but also a story on the ills of vengeance. How vilification before compassion leads to only more pain, more suffering. How we otherize and dehumanize, both in gaming and in real life. There are evils and there are hurts, but there are no villains. Because this is a tale of the last of humanity, clinging to the only fundamentally real thing left to them; each other. Whether that’s through love, through hatred. Through grief, through joy. Connecting in the shadow of a world that used to be, in a people that continue to struggle onward. It’s not about forgiveness, it’s about the ladder we take to climb out of grief. A harrowing journey that we don’t always do right the first time, because the last step isn’t letting go, or even forgiving, its accepting. It’s seeing other side; seeing that they, too, have their own ladders to climb. Their own hurts to bear. Not only does the game express this narratively, but through the gameplay as well. Through every single step. Every flinch when our knife slides deep, eyes flicking up to us in terror and confusion. Every name we learn and life we take. How we befriend one and kill a dozen more, all while the line between enemy and ally blurs. You question every action, because they aren’t some ubiquitous “them” anymore. They are you. This isn’t just Ellie or Abby or Joel’s story, it’s ours as well. We willful passengers cannot make their choices for them, cannot alter their course, can only guide them along it. It is not something that can be fully realized except through this medium. We are not passive participants, like in a movie, but active ones. It’s more personal. That makes it more difficult, too. It’s hard to feel shame or heartbreak, and it’s hard to feel empathy for the one who caused it.

This is not a game for everyone, but it is in no way a bad one. We are used to these platforms being majority entertainment, but this is...this is more like art. And not the New York interpretive bull that finds meaning in swathes of color, but a true snapshot of the human experience. It is harrowing. It is ugly. And it might reveal more about us than we were ready to see. But in the end, I believe it’s worth it, to connect so fundamentally to others, even when that connection is difficult. We get to see these little glimmers of hope in darkness, like fireflies. They guide us forward, even when so little remains; even when we are swallowed in despair. There is reason to keep going, to try, even if it’s only for the sake of a memory. 9/10

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view.

In my opinion the combination of forgiveness and Revenge perfectly mixes making the game a bitter sweet experience.yes Joel dies in a way that is untraditional to his behavior...But thinking about it logically he’s gotten 5 years older probably in his 50’s and has a new life in a protected place with not many issues,he has no one to protect so he lets his guard down and pays for it.Joel wasn’t supposed to be this great guy,he used violence as a first choice in almost everything in the first game.Him taking Ellie from the hospital was selfish but he tries to make up for what he did and Ellie never forgives him fully for it until the game is finally over. Then Ellie not killing Abby shows that she is finally at peace with Joel’s death and doesn’t need to do what she originally presumed to find peace...killing people. She finds out that trying it get revenge only ends in more pain and death. As we see with Abby after she kills Joel she still has nightmares until saving Yara and lev.Other than that the graphics are the best I’ve ever seen in games. The story though originally looks like a failure I feel over time people will see what it was meant to be delivered as.One last criticism I’d like to have seen a different opening to the game like the museum scene there instead of Joel explaining things we already know to tommy. The game gives you the perfect balance of disliking Abby and liking Abby to the point where you’ve got her in the water you don’t know if you want to kill her or not.Ellie loses everything just to have the feeling of inner peace.Thats all in time it will be scene as a masterpiece. The Last of Us is one of my favorite video games of all time and I couldn’t possibly imagine them doing this to the characters.. but after giving it an unlikely shot, and trying my hardest to go into it unbiased, I actually found it pretty amazing how they were able to pull it off for me. The graphics are simply out of this world, as a PC gamer I was really impressed by the visual quality, Naughty Dog really pushed their limits, or rather, the PlayStation 4's limit once more.

The audio is again really amazing, plus the options are highly customizable depending on your setup. Gunshots are actually loud, which isn't the case in other shooters.

Gameplay-wise, The Last of Us Part II is definitely a step up compared to its predecessor, although it isn't perfect it does what it wants to REALLY REALLY well. Would've liked to see more variety in kills, more fights with both humans and infected. More random encounters while walking and such.

It's great - graphics, sound, character models, acting, gameplay. All great. And despite many suggesting otherwise, it's story, tone and characterisation are also great. A different but very "Last of Us" tale, with a similarly, multifaceted message at the end. If this was 'just a revenge story' then The Last of Us was just about helping your friend (clue - it wasn't).

If this was 'just a revenge story' then The Last of Us was just about helping your friend (clue - it wasn't).

My main criticism of the game is that it is a tad too long and could do with a couple of lighter moments to break the bleakness. Not sure if the significant graphical improvements and subtle but welcome gameplay tweaks quite make up that shortfall when comparing it to the first game, but otherwise this is a great sequel that only loses out to its predecessor slightly and only because it hasn't got that novelty value. I mean we were expecting something mind blowing and lightning in a bottle is very difficult to capture twice. They came close though.

It is very similar to Part one - bigger sure, better? maybe, maybe not.

For those that enjoyed the first one, if you understood why it ended in the way it is did - not just the "saved Ellie cuz I like Ellie" bit, you are highly likely to love this game. If you are the sort of person that freaks out when you realise sometimes things happen that are bad and there is nothing you can do about that, then consider staying away and just continue to enjoy the first one.

What is funny is that the story (which is essentially about bad things happening and learning to put things behind you so you can move on) has flown over the heads of a lot of the previous game’s fans in the most spectacular fashion.

I know, right? a game about growing up, being review bombed by people that mostly haven't grown up!?

    Who'd have thought...

P.S. Partly came here to check the rumours about MC blocking negative reviews (lol). This is my third attempt posting a positive review, so it’s likely just the massive volume of activity on this page (compare it to any other big game, its crazy!). Still at least it gives the nutters something else to get upset about!

There are no laws anymore, no rules, no judgements.
You only do what YOU think is right in order to survive, even if it's wrong. But everything you do has a consequence.
What if there was something deeper underneeth the story?
Everything is not all Black or White. Always check the two sides of a coin to evaluate the situation. What would you do in these or that position? THIS IS LIFE...
Sure it can be cruel sometimes but it is what it is. You can be sad for sure, but just take the time to understand or at least trying.
This game give you tons of emotions and i can't say i was impassive trough the events. I felt, joy, saddness, fear, anger, compation, all of this...

For all the haters out there, please, grow up. This is not a teddy bear and candy world. And also, just because a story doesn't fit your vision doesn't mean that it was bad.

Anyway, i had much pleasure playing The Last Of Us Part 2.
The graphics are great and pushing the PS4 to the limits at the end of her life.
The acting is awesome, nothing more to say about it.
Music is a bit less present but the tone is more dark and i think this is the reason.
Gameplay is basically TLOU 1 with better gestion and mastery.
Only a few characters are less attractive because they are less developed.
I personally loved the story, the way it is telled, trough cutscenes, gameplay, flash backs. and NO, the thread is not incorrect.
It has been done on purpose. You have to hate first, then see why, and then understand.
I hope to see a DLC one day, and who knows, maybe a part 3.

The story is very good and in some points it made me angry or sad or happy. I felt a lot trough this game and that is a good. I don’t even need to say something about the graphics and the gameplay is also very decent. And I love Ellie as a character and how she act or feel trough the story. There are a lots of hearthbreaking moments for example with Joel. But when it comes to Abby it is a little bit hard to like her in the beginning because she killed Joel but at the end I felt sad for her and could understand her. The story is very emotional, weather you like or not, the narration is good even though there are parts we're it feels way too streched. The biggest flaw of this game is that the story tends to be a bit too long in some parts, and some choices plot wise are not so well justified and explained. Could have been a perfect game, but there are some story driving points that are not so greatly done to deserve a 10.

Fundamental philosophies are placed into question, all gravitating around the central premise: "an eye for an eye makes the whole world blind." If you don't understand the depth of this phrase, you won't like the game.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The game does have some flaws but is still a near perfect game. People always say that people only like it since lev is trans and Ellie is gay but I think those make the game a bit worse. The beginning of the game seems like Ellie’s sexuality is to important. If she wasn’t having sex with Ellie then she might of met Joel Earlier and saved him from dieing. The soundtrack of the game doesn’t have the most good songs but has some awesome songs. Ellie singing take on me is by far one of the best covers ever in a video game. Also Joel singing future days is really beautiful. The ending is what people are always nit picking and hating on but you just have to understand what it means. Ellie spared Abby because she realized that killing Abby wouldn’t bring Joel back alive. Ellie decided to let Abby live to give lev the life Joel gave her. People also say that the whole Abby section was just a waste of time. It is kinda but not really. It shows us why Abby killed Joel since he killed her dad. The Abby section was to make us see her point of view. I’m not saying you have to love Abby and want Ellie to die because I still think Ellie is better but you should at least see that she actually has a kinda nice side to her. All she was trying to find closure for her dads death by helping lev and yara. Some things that are bad in the game are Tommy and Maria’s relationship should be more important I think in the game because even in the first game Tommy didn’t seem important. I didn’t like that you have to play as Abby while she fights Ellie because every video I see on the Ellie boss fight starts off as the person dieing on purpose. Another thing I didn’t like about tlou2 is since Ellie lost her fingers at the end of the game she can’t play the guitar. That means that most likely the guitar will be a one game thing. Also the guitar is a sign of Joel. I did like how the game started and ending with the guitar but the guitar is a sign of Joel and since Ellie can’t play it we won’t see it again. I did like how Ellie did lay the guitar down to show that she is letting Joel go to rest in her mind. TLOU2 does have some flaws that I can see but the greatness does out way the poor things. Expand

I am a big fan of the first part of the game. But I also really liked the second one, with its graphics, its characters and, of course, the plot. I don’t understand why people cheat this game. Yes, there are a lot of LGBD people, but this does not spoil the game. And I have never met bugs. 9/10 because the first part is still better.

It is extremely polished and I only encountered 1 or 2 very minor bugs during my entire playthrough. The acting and dialogue is phenominal at times and really makes certain characters stand out.

Never has any form of media challenged me this emotionally. The story is an absolute rollercoaster of emotions from start to finish, containing some of the most heartfelt, most upsetting and most distressing scenarios I have ever experienced. It asks you to re-evaluate your opinions on certain characters a number of times. It explores the idea that in the world of the Last of Us, no character is truly right or wrong, no heroes or villains and that blind revenge will leave make you lose everything.

The narrative structure of the game is extremely ambitious and complex, and may not be for everyone. Even though I personally enjoyed it greatly, I do find the story to have some pacing and structural issues that affect the flow of the game, especially in the latter half of the story.

Another minor issue for me is that I found a few side characters to be under-developed and would have liked a little more back story to make later scenes including them more impactful.

Overall this is a brilliant, unforgettable game and piece of storytelling that will live long in my mind.

I honestly like a lot of things that the majority of the public hates/doesn't like (i.e. playing as Abby for 8-10hours). I will however say that I am not too pleased with the ending where Ellie does not kill Abby, but instead lets her live. It doesnt infuriate me as it does some people, or should I say; I don't feel like I wasted the 20+ hours of time that I put into the game. That is the only reason why this game doesn't get a 10 from me. Everything else: truly amazing from my point of view. Expand

As someone who played through TLoU1 many times, I can tell you the sequel absolutely lives up to expectations. It's really too bad that it's gotten caught up in so much controversy because it is truly a fantastic game. I would highly recommend that any fan of the original play this game.

    Quick thoughts on specific aspects:

Gameplay: This is where TLoU really shines. They took everything that was great about the first game and ratcheted it up. The stealth combat sections are incredibly tense and visceral. The AI is fantastic. The maps are large and varied. Crafting and skill trees were upgraded in a way that makes sense and does not feel unnecessarily complicated.

Visuals: The graphics here are absolutely stunning. From the countless minor touches to the massive set pieces, this is one of the 2-3 best-looking games I've ever played.

Sound: Same as visuals, the audio here is really top-notch. I especially liked the soundtrack they added for stealth combat sections against human enemies. The music has a tense Nine Inch Nails vibe that makes the encounters so much more tense. Enemy sounds are another standout. Human enemies have an impossibly wide range of audio splashes -- from side conversations to communicating via a whistle-based code ... it's really phenomenal.

Story: OK, so this is where the controversy comes in. Personally, I loved the story and I loved that Naughty Dog did not go in a predictable fan-service route for the sequel. I won't spoil it, but I did not have any problem with the choices they made. The story is definitely complex and it is NOT the straightforward, linear style we got in the first game. That is why I would definitely recommend 1.) beating the game, and 2.) replaying it before giving the story a final grade. I know it's a lot to ask someone to commit 50-60 hours like that, but I feel like this game is worth it.

I did have some small issues with the story. First, because of the way the story unfolds, it is difficult to develop the same level of emotional connection to the characters as you did in the first game. This game does some really cool things with flashbacks and perspective changes, but the trade-off is that you're not experiencing the same emotions in the same order as your character. I felt like it all fell into place by the end, which was incredibly satisfying. But it did lessen the emotional investment during first playthrough. This issue goes away almost entirely on subsequent playthroughs, which is why I strongly recommend playing it through twice before making a final judgment.

The second issue I had was that some of the characters felt underdeveloped - specifically Dina and Jesse. These were great, well-acted characters who both have awesome moments. But they don't feel as fleshed out as some of the characters in the first game. I think this issue comes from the fact that many of the best side characters in the first game (Tess, Bill, Henry/Sam) were only with us for a few chapters, whereas some side characters in TLoU2 are around for much longer. So they have the same amount of character development spread across more screen time, which can make their characters feel kind of watered down and less memorable than some of our favorites from the first game. To be clear, though, this was a MINOR issue.

Last story point: This may be just me, but my take is that the game ends in a cliffhanger. Not quite your traditional cliffhanger, but I definitely do not think this is the end of the journey for some of these characters.

Anyway, I highly recommend this game. Ignore the nonsense from the trolls and alt-right goobers who can't handle anything different. This is a fantastic game and absolutely worth playing. Enjoy!

Then again the game makes you hate it and generates a feeling of displeasure to the point of wanting to finish it quickly. More precisely I mean the point where Ellie is about to die and the plot forces you to play with abby, the counterpart and the villain that up to that moment you can only hate. But then, like all great works ... more precisely remembering Batman dark knight, a work that you enjoy so much that you are afraid it will end and on several occasions when you are willing to let that end come ... the plot surprises you and you stretch the story. Well friends, this work made me remember that beautiful feeling. It also gives you mixed feelings, since it makes you fond of that villain in the first instance and at a distance makes you think that according to the point of view one can be a villain or hero. Playing the same story from two points of view, in this case antagonistic, is a very good resource. The same resource that in its time used Resident Evil 2 that made it so special. As for the conclusion of the story ... one with so many laps and so much time spent with both protagonists ... I would have liked a more pacifist, more conciliatory ending ... but after all, it is at the level of what one I hoped ... it didn't happen ... and it didn't. In short it is worth it and you will delight from start to finish ... one last recommendation ... try to have an open mind and not take anything personal. Regards Expand

Guys, games aren't made for happy end, especially when it comes to a game about post-apocalyptic world, they are made to evoke feeling, doesn't matter which ones. In first game you experienced a touching in a good way story, so creator decided to impress you by something, you were not waiting for. Something, that would evoke hatred and anger, wanting a revenge. They wanted you to get mad as Ellie. This character is not destroyed, she simply was in agony. All her decisions weren't made as a stupid move for no reason, she simply didn't see anything except of revenge. So are you. You are not angry because of the bad game, you are angry because this what authors wanted. This game is not bad, it's a masterpiece, because it made you loose your mind, didn't it? I agree, that they could have not made Abbie so... Abbie. I hope Druckman is going to pay attention to this. But that is the only thing I agree with. Relationships between Ellie and Dina, lifestory of Lev fits perfectly in plot. Stop consider every unusual person as a propaganda. At last, there are such people in world. Sry 4 bad eng Expand

After the credits rolled I was thinking “what a let down” until I decided to try and replay the game and see things differently. After a second play through I can say that this game is a masterpiece of storytelling. Yes **** dies rather quickly. I was angry, I hated Abby so very much. but that is exactly what the game is trying to make you feel. Anger, resentment, hate, & revengefulness. You are SUPPOSED to hate Abby, You are SUPPOSED to feel these emotions in full force. People have failed to see exactly what Naughty Dog was going for. Of course we wanted Ellie to get revenge. We all wanted Abby dead. But unfortunately real life doesn’t always work in your favour, you don’t always get what you want. The game made me feel all of these emotions including happiness, sorrow, resent, hate, love, revenge, & forgiveness. No game has EVER made me feel all of these emotions through 1 play through let alone 2. However, I think if the game went back and forth between Abby & Ellie’s story as apposed to 3 days as Ellie then 3 as Abby. It would’ve made each death more impactful making the player feel EVEN worse for the actions they committed while on this ultimately failed revenge path. Ellie ends up forgiving Abby. Revenge is not what the story is about.... Forgiveness is what The Last Of Us Part II is truly about. It will go down as by far one of THEE greatest gaming expirences you will ever witness from a story standpoint. The gameplay is just as fun as it was in the first game. With the mechanics being polished and shining brighter then they ever have before. It is even further enhanced by the drop dead gorgeous graphics. Every scene is jaw dropping. Especially on a PS4 pro with a 4k display. Action is brought to brutally realistic detail with every weapon fired and every slice of Ellie’s switchblade. You felt every punch, slice, and every bullet. If you go into TLOUP2 with an open mind and realizing you may not get what you think/want then this game is absolutely worth every minute and dime you spend on it. 9.5/10 Expand

Gameplay sure was improved from the previous game and is very enjoyable. Monster designs and challenges were very good also amazing boss fights. Now the story is brilliant. I can see why for many people was controversial but in my point of view was a unique and brilliant way to tell a revenge story were neither side is good or bad, both take wrong decisions and pay for it. Yes, the story is very bitter and it may be not for everyone's taste but I see the course of actions very logical and I can't see other variants of the story reaching such a ingenuous storytelling.
