    The game clearly isnt as bad as these weirdo, virgin **** make it out to be. Solid plot. Great graphics. Great sound design. Risk taking. Just read the bashing comments. Most of the people cant spell simple words or actually form a sentence. These people bashing the game are scum **** They are **** retards who, again, CANT EVEN **** SPELL.

    Coge todo lo que tiene el primero y lo lleva más allá. Naughty Dog merece una estatua por lo que hizo con este juego. Seguramente, la historia más madura que jamás se ha visto en la indústria.

    I've now played thru this game three times, twice on regular PS4, and then once more on PS4Pro. And I have to say, while the game is stunning on regular PS4, it looks even better on Pro. Much better.
    But its not the visuals that made me fall in love with this game. Its the awesome atmosphere, the attention to detail, and the brilliant stealth oriented gameplay adventuring thru well    I've now played thru this game three times, twice on regular PS4, and then once more on PS4Pro.     As for characters, Ellie is perfect as a selfish, angsty teenager, and Abby is great as a strong leader type of a woman. Unfortunately, many side characters aren't as well written, leading to some gringes.
    Story, for the most part, is very good, although just like everyone else, I found the ending bit silly.

    One of the best video games ever! The simple revenge story is shown perfectly and made a player think long after finishing playing it. The game is cruel, hard, a rollercoster of emotions feeling during playing.

Spent hours saving a character only for them to die regardless. Ridiculous level of writing. Game is five hours longer than it needs to be. Story is far too chopped up too.
    -I bought this product for full price, and I'm saying there's too much product here. When has someone ever complained there was more than they paid for? Isn't that ridiculous? No interest in replaying it, ever.
    -Smug and sneering 'you just don't get it' fanbase, accussing anyone with legitimate qualms of being threatened by a girl with muscles. GIve me a break. I don't give a **** about that. I care that she's a vanilla, milquetoast character and so is the rest of her love triangle, whose names I only remember, unlike the rest of the new cast, because they were that notably boring as characters. Awful. Such a shame. Was my most anticipated game aside from Breath of the Wild 2.    … Expand

TLOU 2 is a beautiful game, with a sound and great atmosphere, in addition to a luxury of details that many studios should envy Naugthy Dog, HOWEVER there is a mistake that makes the beauty of the landscape and the details in combat look ridiculous. The story, the story was what made the first TLOU strong, a solid plot, disturbing, sad and memorable moments, as well as the humanity of which the characters were portrayed here. On the other hand, in TLOU2 the whole history of Tlou1 is thrown overboard and I am not saying it precisely because of the progressive ideology, which in itself is a small problem since there is a lot of propaganda of this style, although honestly, I do not I get upset. BUT WHAT THEY DID TO JOEL, IS UNFORGIVABLE, was Joel going to die? Yes, you could see it coming, but not in the first 20 minutes of games, throwing character development overboard. And besides, at the hands of a character with the poorest possible writing, and on top of that Neil Drunkman forces you to play as him during a whopping HALF OF THE GAME. Then the whole story is practically the same as the chapter of "el chavo del ocho" where one of the characters says the mythical phrase "Vengeance is never good, it kills the soul and poisons it", because I am very sorry, I just to tell you the moral of the end. I'm not annoyed by the liberal propaganda or even the facial models, but by the hell of a story, hopefully this game is quickly forgotten and come up with new ideas, adding the photo mode and the realistic mode is not enough.… Expand

    This game is quite outdated when it comes to gameplay and while the setting and story are something that could be good, you get thrown at with hateable characters and playing this game in general is no fun at all.I stopped playing this game and picked it up later because it is just bad. It didn´t help much though. 2/10

I really doubt they are TRULY CONFIDENT with their writing. Again, it's more like "baiting" the customer.
    I respect ND's decision to make a masculine female character and his thought of being politically correct. However, he shouldn't "force" this idea onto players as this only makes players dislike the game, and ND himself more.    … Expand

Let’s uhhhh kill Joel, in front of Ellie gangland style, make you play as this **** Abby later, kill all of Abbys friends that actually for the most part were innocent bc they were following this dumb **** Then at the end to **** with them even more, let’s go ahead and not follow through with the revenge of the only TRUE monster in the game.     This game was really disappointing in so many ways that the max 5000 letters would'nt even begin to describe it. Nothing felt genuine. The 1 point was only because the graphics were good, but the story didnt feel genuine. This was my favorite game of all time, but after this disappointment - i guess i'll have to find a new one now.

    NaughtyDog made an amazing job as always, never disappointing in terms of innovation, pleasing their beloved fans and representativity while never thinking about the so-called "pink money". I feel sad that not all gamers managed to have a good experience playing The Last of Us Part II due to their anger towards the mixed feelings and losses during the story or any kind of preconception towards some of the characters, but I feel like this game was a good initiative to make that kind of though change and through dialog change our world to a better place, even if just a little bit.    … Expand

    the last of us part two truly shows how good modern gaming can be, with excellent visuals, gameplay, and characters. The story pulls you in and makes you feel exactly how the characters are feeling. This post apocalyptic masterpiece does not deserve the hate or review bombing it got. 10/10.

    El final original me pareció bien, porque te pone a pensar, vengarte de esa persona te hará mejor que ella? Matarla te hará mejor que ella? Y lo más importante, como serías luego de ello? Te cambiaría a bien o a mal?. Siento que ellie tomo una buena decisión, ya que todo el juego la vemos con un espíritu muy siniestro y apagado y al final cuando logra enfrentar el pasado que obtuvo, termina de la mejor manera, en paz. Y si te pones a pensar, mientras más sed de venganza tenía ella, peor se ponían las cosas. Como cuando muere jesse, el no tuvo nada que ver en la historia de joel y ellie, sólo que la falta de humanidad transformó a todos en lo peor. Sin mencionar que Abby al matar a joel, trajo la consecuencia de muertes de sus amigos supervivientes (los lobos)
    Ojo, no es que piense que estuvo bien la muerte de joel, al contrario, fue muy dolorosa, lo llevo en mi corazón. Sólo pienso que vengarse no iba a solucionar nada. MATAR A ABBY Y A LOS LOBOS no iba revivir a joel. Y eso es lo que el the last of us dos nos quiere enseñar, que cuando en nuestra vida alguien arrebata algo que amas, ya está, son cosas que pasan. Y se que queres vengarte de ello, pero eso nos haría peores humanos, nos transformariamos en algo que nunca quisimos ser.

    Ok I had to create an account just to review this and counter the ridiculously short sighted reviews here. One of the best games I have ever played. Oh and I loved the first game too. Brilliant and bold story telling that clearly most reviewers here are too small minded to understand or appreciate. Brilliant gameplay as well.

An excellent storyline that keeps you on your toes throughout the game, describes all the characters and their motives. The end was controversial, because after such an emotional outburst you don'tThe Last of Us Part 2 doesn't have enough flaws to get such bad reviews on this site.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. excelente, hay una parte de la historia que choca bastante y es después de la muerte de Jessi, donde pasas a jugar con Abby que fue quien lo mató, dices "porque? porque juego con alguien que odio por matar a Jessi que ha sido buen compañero?" además de que se debe empezar con las mejoras de habilidades y armas nuevamente, pero bueno, mas allá de eso y cuando entiendes la intención de la historia del juego, de mostrarnos el lado del "villano", como que eso pasa a segundo plano, mostrarnos que mas que la historia del bueno y del malo, es una historia sobre el ciclo de la venganza y de que en algún momento alguien tiene que parar ese ciclo. no le pongo 10 porque perfecto no es, pero se acerca....… Expand

    This is a game mostly human, we can feel anger, fear, anguish until the end of the game. The history is amazing, full of emotion, and is showing the mistakes of a human being;
    The last scene is heartbreaking! 10/10

There are few games that make me feel as much emotion and interest in the characters as The Last of Us. Most of the characters feel very vivid and alive, and this creates a powerful interest in their story.

    There are some clear problems with the story telling at points, however. I think the switch to playing as Abby was ultimately a creative pursuit that came at the cost of the player’s enjoyment of the game. Whilst it was a unique and interesting transition to go from anger and dislike of Abby, to eventually forgiveness; the player has to endure hours of quite unpleasant and uncomfortable gameplay to get to that point. The first few hours playing as Abby were not enjoyable for me, and I simply wanted to return to the story I was already invested in with Ellie. It felt like a grind to get through these few hours and whilst I did not hate Abby, and understood why she killed Joel, I had no interest in her story for around half her tale. So whilst it was an admirable feat, to turn the player from anger to forgiveness, it felt more like the writers were trying to demonstrate their writing ability in steering the player’s emotions, and for me this came at the cost of my enjoyment of a substantial portion of the game. Some may argue that those unpleasant first few hours as Abby are supposed to be that way, to create a satisfying transformation into forgiveness; in my case, I did feel forgiveness, but it was not worth those hours of uninteresting gameplay. Overall I would have just preferred to dive deeper into Ellie’s story, and have a few cutscenes to demonstrate Abby’s background. Perhaps if Abby’s tale was more intertwined with Ellie’s – offering us a different perspective on Ellie’s story, it may have felt more meaningful; but apart from a couple of scenes where there was some overlap, it felt very disconnected. In particular, I strongly disliked the section where you control Abby and are forced to try and kill Ellie. This I think was one of the most absurd decisions made in a video game I’ve played, again, the sense was that whilst it was an interesting dynamic and quite unique – it felt absolutely not enjoyable and offered no satisfying reward or outcome.

    Overall, this is one of the best games I’ve ever played. My review focuses a lot on the negatives but this is simply because the positives are so refined it's hard to say much beyond they told an amazing story and it was one of the best experiences I’ve had with a video game. The first section playing as Ellie was a solid 9.5/10 for me, but the score was reduced to 8.5/10 upon playing Abby’s section.    … Expand

    Excelled where it was expected to, graphically and in animatioms, voice acting was superb, set design was beautiful and immersive and really confusing at times which I enjoyed. The combat is solid and actually requires some practice. Overall very good, though I did not find any bugs in the game, the cutscenes were a whole other stort, with some weird model instability.

    Now for the real problem with the game, it's story, it is indeed filled with a political agenda, I'm not just saying it, I am a bissexual man. But including a gay couple and a trans man in a world with so few characters does feel forced and takes you out of the game. That being said none of the storylines are offensive or terribly written, it's just an obvious sympathy bait and it's distracting at best.

    The big death on the beggining was sad, hut it made sense so I don't get the rage some people felt towards the game for it. It made sense storywise...

    People complaining about the models are just scary or dumb, because saying Ellie looked way better before is... Weird on the context that she was fourteen... And I guess people don't get the concept of aging. She looked perfectly fine to me. And saying Abby"looked like a man, ew". It's a vudeogame character on a zombie apocalypse, not a Pornhub actress. Chill. She looks credible and the game itself calls her out on being built like a tank so... I don't get the surprise.

    The third act is by far the weakest, we've gotten two already established factions, did we need a third one to be around for half an hour? And did the third one have to be the most boring of them all? Overall the story feels like it drags quite a bit while the third act is just sailed through by contrast which feels weird.

    Funny enough the best social interactions in the game still belong to Ellie and Joel, Dina and Ellie have their moments tho, and the WLF crew really wasn't that bad either, other than the fact that playing Abby takes like 45% of the game, which was a really hard to take change, till I actually familiarized myself with Abby I just wanted to get back to Ellie, and when through their first fight you play as Abby, I honestly just let Ellie kill her time and time again because I really did not want to take the chance of Abby killing Ellie.

    Overall a very solid but weird sequel, could've played a big chunk of it without knowing it as TLoU ehich doesn't really feel like a Part II, but maybe a spin-off.    … Expand

Graphics are great. Soundtrack is good. There is really not much to criticize. To start with the biggest positive, the graphics were beautiful. They were probably the only thing that got me through the entire game. It's not often I stop in a game just to appreciate graphics. The lighting, the characters, the scenery, everything was great. What baffles me the most is why they chose to do this story with this game. The idea of following two protagonists who are the antagonistics to each other is a really interesting concept. It's been done before in some medias and it can be done really well. This was not the game to do that with, this really should've been its own game. We the audience already have a bond with Joel and Ellie, Abbey was a not a character we knew anything about. They don't introduce anything likable in this new character until half way into the game. It doesn't feel genuine when we start playing as her, as soon as I started playing as Abbey I knew exactly what they were doing. It's borderline emotional manipulation and it annoyed me beyond being able to like Abbey. Abbey is introduced in probably the worst way imaginable. Joel saves her life, and she still chooses to torture him. There is no initial quality about her to like. She doesn't have a moment were she feels conflicted in killing him because he saved her life but he also killed her father. She doesn't think "Maybe I'll just kill you instead of torture you since you saved me". She's introduced as a sadistic person and we don't even learn her motivation for why she's doing this until far later into the game. Her motivation should've been introduced here. She should've had a dialouge with Joel. I'm not against the fact they killed Joel, but it was painful to watch him die the way he did. No one enjoys watching their protagonist get tortured to death. There's a right way and a wrong way to kill beloved characters, and this was the wrong way. Had Abbey shot him rather then beat his brains in, I would'nt have been so depressed after that scene and I wouldn't have hated Abbey as much. I know Naughty Dog games are designed in a linear style, and I like that about them. This game felt like it should've had options though. There were so many things the characters did that annoyed me, it reached a point I felt disconnected with their decisions and kept thinking "Well I didn't do that, the game did". I don't expect perfect characters who make the decisions I would make, but these characters just weren't likable to me. Some of them were okay, but there weren't any characters I felt attached to. Last of us 2 should not have gotten a sequel. This game should've been its own game with characters we didn't have prior emotional attachment to. If Abbey and Ellies storylines flipped back and forth rather than be sectioned off in the first half and the second half I think the game would've flowed a lot better.… Expand

Any point you have to get past enemies is extremely tough, making the game almost unenjoyable to play. The plot of the story is dumb and there is no closure in the end, you’re left with a cliffhanger basically. Which leaves room for a third game (doubtful to happen) or DLC which hopefully will happen because I am so disappointed with the ending. What I loved about the first one is the heartfelt moments and there’s none of that in this one. It’s all about revenge.
    Also, the first game was straightforward and this one is kind of all over the place. One example being it make you play some flashbacks that you really could have done without, or could have easily been a cutscene instead. It really makes me sad because I’ve been looking forward to this since the first one and I’m just disappointed. Don’t waste your money on buying it, watch someone on YouTube play it instead.    … Expand

The writing in this game is incredible, it is sad to see so many people who misunderstood it. It's a layered narrative with multiple powerful themes and messages. It is a must play. Do not listen to the loud minority, trust me.

    The soundtrack really pulls into the story hand adds a lot to the story
    The story is where people generally hate the game, the beginning Joel’s death makes people feel anger and pain influencing them to hate the characters to hate them. As you play as Ellie you feel hatred for all the characters your killing. But then the story takes a turn and makes you play the villain, you then start to feel emotion towards characters you use to hate. The games makes you feel so much emotional on what to think about the characters. Many people dislike the ending because of how Ellie lets Abby live. But this ending leaves character development on Ellie, she turns into a person of hatred

I know many hated this game or was dissapointed but personally I must say I loved it. Was it better than the first? No I don't think so. However I loved the direction they took the story. So I want to talk about the big Contraversies surrounding the game. First of Joel's death. This was done well in my opinion. Don't get me wrong. I cried and felt angry cause I love Joel. But he is not a good man. He has done messed up things. He is a good father but not a good man he is a beloved character but doesn't mean he didn't make many mistajes. The world is cruel and he was never going to get a heroic death. He knew he was going out in a bad way. Now the entire Joel would not of trusted abby I can see where everyone is comming from 100%. However living in Jackson for 4 years would've changed that and Joel would've seen Ellie in abby. A girl the same age needing help. So yes he trusted her. But Joel knows he isn't a good man. That's why he accepted it when they got him. He didn't fight. The only regret I think he had was knowing Ellie had to watch him die. Now truth be told switching to abby I was mad. I hated playing as her at first. Not cause the gameplay but my anger for abby. However when I got near the end of abbys gameplay I realised why I'm mad at abby is the same reason she was at Joel. This is why personally the perspective cycle of violance works for me. If its not your thing and you didn't enjoy this game that's fine but I personally did. I ended up not liking abby but liking her writing and not hating her. Now the decision to not kill abby I agree with cause it would've done nothing. And that's why I love Owen as he understands it'll do nothing. Earlier in the game they even foreshadow this when talking bout the comic book with Joel. I do think abby gameplay is a little too dragged out and the game gets a little repetitive at times. The pacing is weird especially with the flashback moments which are some of the best parts but It worked for me however I know some don't like it but again it worked for me. Now I wouldn't give this a 10 since I gave the first a 10 and I do stand by that being better but I'd definitely give this game a 9.7 or 9.8. I understand some won't like it due to the very dark and consequancial story telling but I personally loved what they did. .… Expand

    My main complaint about this game is that the combat-mechanics had a steep learning curve compared to the first game. But by the time I mastered it, it felt smooth, so it is not that big of a deal. Also, I found that stealth was a good alternative to combat most of the time. The option to sneak through most levels without killing a single living person, is one of the things I liked most about the game. I would have loved to see a pacifist playthrough make a difference though.

    It turned out again that "Last of Us" was definitely a masterpiece.

The hate of the story really seems to stem entirely from a few leaks without any gameplay or context. You may not agree with the characters, but that's the point. This game could've so easily been some fan service where Ellie and Joel go on adventures together and Joel faces no consequences for the ending of the first game. But no, the game doesn't hold your hand and give you what you want, it makes you think, to see the views of the characters you're playing as. The switch to Abby dragged a little in its first half, I will say that, but once you meet Lev and Yara the story picks up a lot. The anger over Joel's death is understandable... if you haven't played the game. The world of the last of us is bleak, people die and it's almost never in some heroic last stand. Think of Sam from the first game, he and Ellie have a really cute dynamic set up, but he still dies, and it has no glamor to it. Joel was a murdering smuggler who did nothing for anyone but himself and the ones he cares most about and his death as a consequence of this fits in line with both games' story. It's a bleak and horrible world and someone wanting Joel dead after killing his way through the U.S. makes so much sense, hell even think of David from the first game who attempts to kill Joel and spare Ellie. The ending of the last of us 2 makes some people extremely upset because Ellie goes on this whole adventure to find and kill Abby for what she's done, but ends up sparing her. The people who dislike this ending say that it makes the whole game pointless, but then what makes it different from the last of us' ending? Joel and Ellie fight through the U.S. in a big adventure to save the world, but in the end, the main character can't themself to finish their mission despite all they've gone through. Complaints of Part 2's ending could often be said of the first game. As for graphics, they're amazing and look like something on PS5. Beautiful environments with amazingly tiny details to make the world feel real. The gameplay is a definite improvement over the first game with a better build melee system, the removal of the shiv mechanic, better stealth sections, and extremely fun/satisfying gunplay. Even if the story was just terrible, all of the work put into it makes it very pretty and fun and I'd say would probably be at least a 5/10. Luckily the story isn't terrible. Best thing I can say is, play the game, even if you hated it from the leaks and listened to youtuers say it's bad, just play the game. Please just put aside all the opinions of the people who you've heard talk about it (good or bad) and make your own decision. I went into this game on the side that it was bad and they **** up the last of us' story, and by about 3 hours in I loved it. There's too much hate this year and we need some hope, so stop being so pessimistic and just get the game on sale and play it, worst that can happen is you have an actual argument on why it's a 0/10 game., but my bet is, even if your opinion on the story barely changes, that 0 would look a lot more like a 5. Good job to everyone who worked hard on this game, I hope you know that a lot of us still love it. Also, Neil Druckman isn't pushing an agenda lol, there were 2 gay characters in the first game too, only thing new is that a trans person exists.… Expand

Ellie's lesbian relationship adds nothing to the game's story, they surely could make it better. The game has such an emotional/sexual/violence appeal just to categorize it as Mature +17 and these events could be easily removed from the story and wouldn't change anything at all...

    O jogo é muito bom, o gameplay e os gráficos são impecáveis. A história é muito impactante e proporciona uma imersão muito boa com os personagens. É uma obra de arte, não é um jogo feito para agradar a todos e sim para proporcionar uma experiência única que cada jogador vai construir com a narrativa.

    The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

    Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
