This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Upon finishing this game, I just felt a deep sense of disappointment. There was no lesson to be learned, there was no happiness to be attained, and the player isn't really left with any hope for the future of Ellie.

Being forced to play half the game as Abby who I had nothing but disdain for while the narrative clumsily tried to make me empathize with her was more annoying and frustrating than anything and made me walk away from the game a few times.

The whole theme of 'Revenge is bad!' is pretty clear, especially considering that the narrative feels the need to beat the player over the head with it constantly throughout the game, which is bothersome but also completely unnecessary considering we already know that, even though Abby gets her revenge and seems quite happy with it considering she never shows any kind of remorse, while Ellie who randomly decides to 'take the higher road' at the very end ends up having lost everyone she cares about, ends up with a permanently disfigured hand, and ends up alone (which she mentioned in the first game is her worst fear in the world).

Gameplay-wise, the game is at least mostly solid. There are a few basic formulaic puzzles that could probably do with some more variety, and the gunplay is clunky and inaccurate, but the character upgrades and gadgets are solid and can lead to some interesting tactics. The environments are also beautiful.

When it comes down to it though, The Last of US is a story-centric game, and Part II severely falls short compared to the original. The game didn't 'subvert expectations' it just punished the player and the characters and then left them with nothing but disappointment. That isn't brave or poetic storytelling, it's just bad.

Putting Joel in trailers in scenes where he isn't actually there or changing his and Ellies ages in the trailers isn't keeping players guessing or being mysterious, it's lying and it's false advertisement. It's tricking people into spending money on a game that the trailers have told them is one thing when it clearly isn't.

I really hope there isn't a Part III because based upon the end it looks like they'd try to force Abby and Lev on us as a Joel and Ellie replacement and as much as I liked Lev, I have no interest in that whatsoever.

Don't get me wrong the first 2 ish hours were awsome then the "scene" happened and it destroyed the game. The original last of us was a succes because you cared about the characters, in this game i didn't care about anyone. It was no chemistry between them and if one died so what. Like i cared about bill in the first one he was funny and had a personality. All that gameplay for the worst possible ending, don't know who pitched this idea of how the story should be but damn it really sucks that you made something this bad from something that was so great to begin with. I understand that it's hard to live up to the expectations but you just went all in and didn't think twice about it. And the whole thing with making people think it's gonna be a journey with joel and ellie because of the trailer where he still was very much alive and asking if she she really are gonna go through with this was very misleading. Well you can always hope you make something good with the multiplayer i guess You had a game who were well known for the story you made another one well known for the story but not for a good reason, waited 7 years for this. A story game that has a bad story is a bad game. I AM VERY DISSAPOINTED Expand

Beautiful graphics and a great engine completely overshadowed by awful plot decisions and a particularly awful playable character, not to mention it rips any decision making and forces a really terrible ended ng on the player with no way to change it, I’m sorry but I should have the choice to paint the walls with abby’s brains if I want, literally the ending makes this game completely pointless save your time and money and give it to a studio that actually cares about their fans, **** really screwed the franchise up big time Expand

See...The gameplay is a masterpiece but the story is **** & if you're marketing a game as a story-driven one...you need to deliver your peak performance in that one but this is just Lazy writing to elicit some kind of emotional response from the player...it just feels cheap & the Abby part of the game is real long & feels forced...instead of rooting for her..i just wanted to get this over with but the climax was just a roundhouse kick to the nuts & the entire journey i felt throughout the game was just wasted. The storyline is great, and really makes you think about the choices you make as Ellie or Joel in the first game, and in this one. *Spoilers* By playing as Abby, Naughty Dog gives us the opportunity to understand her motivation for her actions. It's way more interesting than only seeing the villain's action from Ellie's side of the story. I think it's a great way to share multiple story lines, that come together in the most horrific way possible. If you didn't like the ending, you should think about what your perspective about the story would be if you would have played as Abby since the very beginning of TLOU I, and Ellie coming in as the villain in TLOU II. The game really leaves mixed feelings. From a technical standpoint, it's hands down stunning. The graphics, level design, sound, and music - it's all amazing. The gameplay essentially copies that of the first game with few additions and thus feels a bit dusted, but still for the most part enjoyable.

The main sticking point is of course the story. It's not a terrible one, but I have 2 major issues with it. First, the message it tries to bring across is too grim and dark and completely contrasts with that of the first game. The world of Last of Us is already a bleak and dark place and making a story as dark and brutal as this one is just not something any of us needed. The first game is much better in this regard. It also tackles dark complex themes but conveys a feeling of hope in the end. Last of Us 2 has none of that and leaves the player emotionally exhausted and downright miserable.

What's much worse though, is the way the story is told. In the end, if that's the kind of story they wanted to tell, that's up to Naughty Dog. It could still be a great one, if done properly. Alas, it's not. The way it's structured is just bad. You don't introduce new characters by showing them do something terrible and then trying hard to show that 'hey, they're not that bad after all'. This just doesn't work and kills the enjoyment in the latter part of the game. Also, all the characters in the game are bleak, even the main ones. We got to know Ellie really well in the first game, but we get very little info about the kind of person she is now in this one. She does the things she does without a real explanation or rationale (other than a very simplistic 'they ate my foods, imma kill all of them now').

The other characters are even worse. They are sort of just there. They don't get much of a backstory and are simply too one-sided boring and downright unlikeable.

The end result is a grueling 30-hour storyline that is technically amazing, but also the one that no one really wanted or needed and that leaves a bitter aftertaste simple because it could've AND should've been so much more.

Naughty dog just **** over Joel, the same person that never trusted anyone , to the point that he had to run over some guy due to his experience that one no one can be trusted. The same guy that was a smuggler and did unspeakable thing for 20 years since the pandemic. To killing him off in just 30 minutes and then want to encourage sympathy on the person that murdered him for 10 hours that is messed up... the entire game was misleading, just like the false advertisements on the trailers. The game forces you to see the perspective of every faction in the game and makes you seriously question who is the “good guy” after all. Humans are multifaceted and this game shows that fantastically. As a queer, non-cis person It was also nice to see representation for both sexuality and gender that wasn’t just the “norm” and in my opinion was done very respectfully. This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The first game is my favourite game of all time. Not for the graphics, crafting, enemy AI, shooting mechanics as they were all somewhat flawed, the reason is for the characters and story.

The Last of Us Part 2 has improved its mechanics certainly but the story and treatment of beloved characters is like some sort of parody. I suppose I'm glad Joel was killed of early as he was spared the character destruction Ellie received. Once the funny smart mouthed glimmer of hope in this world, shes become frankly a resentful angry and selfish husk of her former self. Jessie and Lev were the only decent new characters for me.

I don't understand the logic of Abby's decisions at all. Her father wanted to kill Ellie without giving her a choice. Later in the game she cares deeply for 2 people who saved her life, turning on her own to help them. However when Joel saves her she doesn't just kill him, she brutally tortures him, and we are suppose to empathise with this person.

Waited a long time for this game, now I just don't care, but wonder.......................... is this how Naughty Dog wanted people to feel?

This game pulled the right strings for me, proving once again that games really art becoming a finely-tuned artform to rival cinema and traditional literature.

    Positives:

    - A beautiful, exceptionally crafted world with open-ish elements and graphics to die for. Really, it's worth purchasing for this alone. It really is a thing of beauty.
    - Interesting and realistic gameplay and levels that can genuinely be approached in multiple ways. I loved the options given. Take on an entire group at once, or sneak right on by. The choice is yours, but there are always consequences and risks. The level of violence, as some have commented on, serves a purpose to drive the central theme home. So you want to cause suffering as a player but you don't want to deal with people choking on their own blood, begging for mercy, having to gun down dogs? Grow up. This is the apocolypse.
    - A storyline that will challenge your perspective, if you're open to it. If you want formulaic UnCharted-style gameplay, this most certainly isn't it. An eye for an eye most certainly leaves the whole world blind, and while the central themes of this story are as Dostoyevsky-esque you're like to find in this game, it's... Well, complicated. It's not fun, it's not light-hearted. It's rough. That doesn't mean it's not worth it though.

    Negatives

    - Unlikeable characters that sometimes lack common sense, and few weird turns and inexplicable actions taken by the characters. But this hasn't changed since the last game. What the hell are they doing trying to kill a little girl to create a vaccine for a fungal infection? We can't even do that now! Why does Ellie hate Joel? Why does she wanna die so bad!? Why does Abby never even attempt to justify any of her actions to people, even though it would make her life easier? The characters can act stupidly at times, but this really hasn't changed too much since the first game. - Use of "none-normie" protagonists. You know what I mean when I say this. It's statistically off and obvious. I didn't dislike it, it just felt... Unrealistic.

It is devastating when Joel dies in the beginning, and I actually cried watching that scene, but the way it is handled throughout the game was done very well. I loved all the flashbacks to really delve into the characters more deeply. This game creates a range of emotions from being sad at all the unnecessary deaths, angry, proud of watching Ellie grow and learn, empathy for not just Ellie but also for Abby, and despair at the world both of these characters endure. The ending is perfectly done, and had it happened any other way in the final fight I may have lost all respect for Ellie as a character. It's a story about revenge and inner change but also a way to understand how important is to understand different points of view, and it's brutal, visceral at a point that you won't have fun playing this, it will shake you with unpredictable plot twists and game design choices.
If there is one thing this game couldn't be described as is 'fan service' and the courage Naughty Dog had with this writing is admirable, they could do a fan service game and still sell millions of copy.
Visually state of the art, with a great minimalistic soundtrack, real life like animations, and unprecedented acting for a videogame, The last of us Part 2 is among the best if not the best game of this generation. Gameplay wise is a step over the first chapter, so very very good.
Any cons? Yes, I experienced like three or four times some minor glitches like wrong hit boxes or compenetrations, I didn't like so much the animations of the character when losing balance before falling down, and personally I'd appreciated the presence of a lock-on system in some circumstance.
Any way If you liked The last of us Part 1 you have to play this sequel, but dont'expect any happy ending, the last of us are not very kind people, in the end.

But you have made the most serious mistake, that is, when I told Hideo Kojima's behavior in those years, it can be said to be black history.

The gameplay and animations are impressively fluid.
The details of the characters, their facial expressions, their behavior are astonishing. Together with the scope and insane amount of details of the environments, the compositional layout of the levels and the bombastic sound and music, they tell most of the story.

The Last of Us Part II has an incomparable narrative depth and it continues the story of the first part very well - but also with an unexpected hardness. The characters are incredibly complex, authentic and interesting. Their actions and decisions, however, are also deeply stirring but still relatable.
Naughty Dog uses the game as a medium to create an unprecedentedly reflective way of portraying the actions and decisions of the characters. An experience which it only achieves because it forces the player to experience the story from different perspectives and to back the decisions and emotions of the two main characters, which makes the game extremely emotionally challenging for me.
The representation of violence is without question extremely disturbing and uncomfortably realistic. A point I understand, but also scares me off as a player and makes me question the actions of my character all the time.

Although the game is fun in terms of gameplay, the mechanics are similar to the first with added features like jumping onto enemies, going prone and jumping. Various of new enemies are introduced but it doesn't feel like it seems like enough enemies especially after 7 years you would think there would be a lot more especially for all the traveling you do in this game. Same style boss fights as the first one plenty of parts are predictable like how many times is the character going to run away from enemies and push the door open to create an "intense" moment. IMO it was played out Ellie fell through the ground so many times it was like oh no again, so boring. Although Ellie was my favorite part of the game especially her minimal screen time spent with Joel those were great moments in the game. Abby's part on the other hand was a big **** you to some fans, such a let down. Abby's character has no empathy, they expect us to feel bad form her father after seeing her side but IMO nothing redeems her for me after she kills Joel especially so early in the game! Literally 1 hour in you play as Joel in the very beginning for 5 minutes riding a horse to Jackson. Abby doesn't care to tell her friend Mel to stay put while she was pregnant, she has an affair with Owen while he was still with Mel and was pregnant! The addition of a trans character I have no issue with it just seems force at this point, I'm all for women power but these characters are so bad. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Auténtica obra maestra. 10/10 Historia: 10/10

And once as a rare collector's card. **** you. You love the smell of your own ass. You're no Hideo Kojima. Even Kojima knows not to piss off his **** fans.

This game starts with a very brief glimpse of life in Jackson, Colorado and then immediately you're thrust into a revenge mission which seemingly lasts the remainder of the game. The intro is so short that I feel sorry for the animators who created the town of Jackson. There's absolutely no time given to breath and play around in a town of respite before it's all taken away from you and you're sent on a revenge mission, one you don't really want to go on. And other characters join, seemingly, for no other reason than "why not?" This is so incredibly boring, and a lazy story setup. Last of us 1 sent us on a long adventure across the country and was visually and thematically different from each location. I'm six hours in on last of us 2 and I'm still running around downtown Seattle, exploring pockets of set pieces, and just looting and killing creatures and people, for no reason. Ellie could easily capture and question one of these enemy NPCs to find what she's looking for, but instead she decides to just wing it, and look for her objectives by eye.

The graphics and the gameplay are amazing, but I just don't care. The story is just doing nothing for me. And I shouldn't have to wait six hours for it to finally get good. I'll play it to completion, but right now, I would not recommend it. It just feels like such a chore to play.

I've finished the game, and my score still stands. It's amazing technically speaking, but I know it's because of worker's crunch time. The story, for what it is, is told fine I guess. By the end, I just felt empty, like Ellie. I wanted more from this story. And we didn't get a second of time as Joel, except the beginning. I don't know why they decided to go in this direction, or why Sony approved it, but here we are... Last of us 2 is a divisive, polarizing game. It succeeds in many facets, and fails in others. This will be a damaging game to many. I don't see Druckmann or Naughty Dog recovering from this from the majority of their fans. While fun, I dread its story. But sales will sure condemn this game a success.

The environment and atmosphere of a post apocalyptic world is well-captured.
Sometimes, I just stare at the map at awe. Everything is well designed. The artists at Naughty Dog are some of the best in the game industry no doubt.
New gameplay mechanics improved a lot of the fights and made it more fun. I can now spam L1 to dodge even bloaters. I'm playing the game on survivor. The sound is, as before, tremendous.
The story.. well, that's the main reason why people rate it 0. Thats because they cant accept that Joel is dead and they didnt play the game. But overtime, as more and more people actually finish the game, the score will go up from zero.
Neil Druckmann is a genius and I liked the way he wrote the story in this game. If anyone on Earth knows and love the universe of Last of Us, it would be the creator himself, Neil Druckmann. Not some no name fan or a meme streamer who didnt even shed a single tear during the space pod scene. Overall 10/10.

The credits roll as I write this review. Teary eyed, exhausted but utterly impressed. One of my favorite narrative gaming experiences of all time. Wow. I avoided all reviews and spoilers so this brief review is honest and untainted by any preconceptions. A story of revenge, its consequences, the perpetual cycle of violence in a bleak, brutal world... and redemption.

A story of revenge, its consequences, the perpetual cycle of violence in a bleak, brutal world... and redemption.

You are Ellie. You embark on a journey across Seattle, fueled by feelings of hate and retribution - you drag a long friends, share music and song, violence and death together. Through this game you will feel love, hate, sadness, laughter, joy and glimmers of hope. The story and game play challenges the player beyond any entertainment medium has done for me, churned my emotions and made me empathize with characters I vowed I could not. At times I put away my controller in disgust, even stop playing to grasp some air before it pulled me back to continue.

As the credits rolled, I just thought what a devastatingly beautiful, narrative tour de force.

The game is and will forever be controversial and divisive. But to me, it stands tall and is currently my favorite narrative driven game. Play this game. Buy this game.

The game was an amazing tale of revenge and the cycle of hate, I love all the characters and the story. I will definitely play again. I don't think the game deserves all the hate it gets.

(I tried posting this after I beat it on June 23, but I always got an error message, so I don't know if it posted.)

This is an honest review after having actually beaten the game unlike most user reviews. The original Last of Us isn't my favorite game of all time, but it's definitely in the top 15 or so. While playing through Part II, I often asked myself which game I liked more.

This is an honest review after having actually beaten the game unlike most user reviews.

The original Last of Us isn't my favorite game of all time, but it's definitely in the top 15 or so. While playing through Part II, I often asked myself which game I liked more. Even now, it's still hard to decide.

That's because, as someone who managed to avoid all leaks and spoilers before playing the sequel, I loved my time with both games. Part II in particular was so gripping that I was glued to my controller almost nonstop and often kept playing until at least 5am. If I wasn't playing, I thought about playing and wanted to know what would happen next.

Most reviews start with graphics and sound; but while they're both phenomenal, I'll start with what is for most people the most important part of the game: the gameplay. Most of what you do in this game involves combat, exploration, scavenging, crafting, and environmental puzzle solving. All of these elements work well, with various little improvements over the first game such as enhanced mobility, Ellie having a permanent knife, and dodging. There were several navigation puzzles and safe combinations that were satisfying to solve, which I did without ever looking up the solutions online. The combat is visceral and dynamic on hard, which is the difficulty I recommend for a first playthrough if you've played the first one, which you should anyway for the plot.

Which brings me to the next section, which has been the most controversial. The story in the game is definitely heavy, emotional, and not told in a linear way. Those who had the plot ruined with spoilers and leaks probably judged it without context before playing, and/or it was difficult to experience it in the game without the negativity associated with the leaks. The following is probably controversial in itself, but I actually liked the plot and how it was told. Without spoiling anything, the game takes big risks rather than playing it overly safe. Its handling of Abby is something that I don't remember any other game doing like this. There were several moments in which I was genuinely shocked but interested to see how things would play out. It's refreshing for events to be so unpredictable, which is possible for those who haven't had everything spoiled.

The game overall has a nice flow. You'll find yourself in closed spaces, in open spaces, indoors, outdoors, at varying times of day, in multiple climates, and with different weather effects. You'll face combinations of human enemies of different factions and infected enemies. There are happy, sad, calm, and tense moments. The shifts in environments, enemies, emotion, combat, exploration, and puzzle solving keep things mostly fresh.

As I mentioned before, the graphics and sound are amazing. I probably took over a hundred screenshots of the game while playing. I often found myself amazed by the lighting, animations, and environmental design. I often stopped to take in the details of every living space more than I normally do in games. I read every note and thought about the characters who lived and died there. One complaint here is that the camera tends to automatically move in camera mode; but otherwise it has a ton of features including filters and various sliders.

Altogether, the various elements of this game come together to create an emotional but amazing experience. I've started a second playthrough and look forward to a third game in the series. There are a few nitpicks here and there; but to dismiss the rest of the game just because of one or two plot points is, in my opinion, unjustified.

    Pros:
    • Breathtaking graphics and animations
    • High-quality sound effects and voices
    • Tense, dynamic combat
    • Tons of optional exploration with resources and lore to find
    • Satisfying puzzles that aren't too difficult
    • Memorable characters
    • Emotional moments
    • Great level design
    • An Encounters mode that lets you jump into combat from the main menu
    • Tons of accessibility and other options
    • Full voice acting for Spanish, French, and Portuguese
    • Usually quick load times after dying
    • The Chapters menu option shows how many of each collectible you found
    • Unlockable 3D models with hair physics

    Cons:
    • No cutscene viewer
    • Glitchy cutscenes that seem to be skippy or show an in-game view for at least a frame or two
    • The camera sometimes moves on its own in camera mode
    • There could've been a few more unlockables, such as outfits, a horde or challenge mode, and/or an in-game soundtrack

Final score: 9.8 (rounded up to 10 here)

Why I can't stop thinking that this game is another example of female empowering and LGBT support gone wrong?

BTW I do have respect for female empowering and LGBT community.

I believe what TLoR got it's popularity is mainly because of its story.
I understand their agenda of revenge and break the chain of blood/revenge. And I understand someone's justice can be tragic for someone. But it DOESN'T have to place that in second part of TLoR where the the main theme of first game story is based on post-apocalypse survival of two who have father and daughter like relationship.

It does not necessary to have this kinda of agenda into second part by TRASHING the first part.

Progressive? Bold Move? They could have done this in 3rd part of LoTR or fresh installment where ellie and joel is not part of it.

Killing Joel too early in the game without much of character development and story development just for shock of audience to make players feel bad for killing npc delivered horribly wrong. Therefore I just cannot focus on game anymore.

I believe the Neil want to have feminism incorporate in the game so he need to kill of male protagonist. And end up two female protagonists.

Why they didn't make abby male protagonist? With that kinda of physical body, it would be perfectly fine to use male protagonist. But they did not because of feminism they wanted to include in the game.

I feel like players are just for social experiment for female empowering and LGBT things.

I don't mind having lesbian protagonist and female protagonist as long as story is good. But this story is just BS. Just feel like i'm in social experiment that Neil decided to conduct for 2020 just like Hollywood movie where female empowering and LGBT things going on.

I felt like action of the NPC spat on Joel's dead body is exactly same as Neil Druckmann spat on first TLoR's dead body. You just killed that first TLoR like that and humiliate those who loved frist TLoR.
And lastly, false advertising from the trailer just made me mad even more.

At the end, Ellie being alone not even with Dina anymore, why even bother to use title of The Last of Us? Because you save two people at the end? The is more like The Last of Me.

Not 10/10, but not 0/10 either. TLOU1 to me was never that great masterpiece like others claimed it to be. So I have no fanboy or hater dog in this fight. The good is that the graphics and animations are cool. The overall gameplay nothing of major innovation. Even though ND had a seven year hiatus to think of and develop better stuff.

As this is a story driven game that wants to play on players emotions for the characters in the first game. The set up for Joel doesn't work, because Joel does some very un-Joel things and it breaks his character. As for Ellie she seems to have learnt nothing from the first game. So both Joel and Ellie don't develop as characters. They both regress and in a unconvincing way narratively.

The ending has all the build up and no pay off. Which makes me think oh no not a direct sequel to this? Or maybe another DLC cash grab later to wrap things up?

As for the new playable character Abby the way she dropped in the time line of the game really didn't help us the player get behind her in any way. As for the emotional manipulation with dogs seriously fts. I have been attacked and bit by a large dog to the point of hospitalization. So in my case I have more PDST than feels for attack dogs on Ellie case.

As like the first game more miss than hit gameplay, but with weaker characterisation and story this time around. The gameplay was never the hook or draw with this series. It was the story and characters, but this time they failed to deliver on the meat and potatoes story. Leaving us sipping on the gravy game play.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Firstly i just want to say that i’m a huge fan of the first game and have played that from initial release all the way up until release for this game. My (as well as many others) problem with this game is the story. I loved the gruesome gameplay, a few of the Memorable characters, and the next-gen level graphics but the story just doesn’t do it for me. There were so many more questions that were left unanswered from the first game, yet they only really touched on one. Which honestly seems more like a sub-plot when you sit back and view the story in it’s entirety. Most of the game just follows ellie and abby’s revenge trope but the theme of revenge isn’t some big profound idea, not saying that it’s imperative the devs made the theme something unheard of, or new but they could’ve atleast made it SEEM like they had the fans from the original in mind. The story is made to try and make you see both sides of what revenge can do and the game wants you to sympathize with abby, here’s the issue(s) with that. Abby is a psychopath, she was willing to kill the man that saved her life solely because of his first name and proceeds to kill said man in front of his brother and surrogate daughter. She sleeps with a pregnant woman's boyfriend, and i’ll also add that she basically got both of them killed when she decided to bring them to new jackson, all so she could kill one man. She would’ve killed a pregnant woman herself, i guess to “get even” and was only stopped once a 14 year old boy told her not to. Lastly she betrays her entire faction, which results with the leader of her community getting shot to death. Abby has saved lives though, with the 2 being lev and yara (she didn’t save yara per se more as so she bought her some time). Shes been shown to express genuine emotion at times e.g. grief, fear, concern, sadness, all of which makes her seem more realistic and in a way it made me actually like abby. To an extent. With that out of the way, lets talk about the god awful ending. Number one it doesn’t make sense that a flashback is what stops ellie from killing abby because we’ve had flashbacks with joel throughout most of the game, so why would a literal 2 second flashback of joel stop ellie from completing her goal at one of the most crucial moments. Ellie basically travelled across the world to get to her and just decides to let her go. Which brings me to my next point, with me knowing how ellie killed david in the first game, it doesn’t really seem like ellie to just not kill someone that tried to kill her. Especially because that person killed the one person that saved her, and cared for her like she was his own. Again, right in front of her. Abby was basically served on a platter for ellie but in the end ellie basically ends up saving her. Its assumed that abby and lev made it to their destination, because of the beached boat with a bright and sunny background which before was a floating boat with a dark and gloomy background. While ellie is left with nothing, since Dina left her, and she cant even play the guitar because abby bit off 2 of her fingers. We get a view from a window and see ellie walk into the wilderness so I’M assuming she’s heading to new jackson to where im guess dina went. Which gives ellie something to fight for, like joel said in the end of the first game. Which he said was crucial for survival. Tommy is divorced and crippled so there’s that. This is all speculation because realistically there would be no way dina could survive in a world like that with a child. Unless said child dies. It’s atleast nice to know that abby probably learned not to go killing random people just to get revenge. Unless she wants to end up emotionally broken because all of her friends and people she has loved or cared about have been decimated. In the end I felt emotionally drained and ended up not caring for ellie, or anybody else that i either once did care about or took interest in. Except Bill, he has a small cameo in the game and he’ll always hold a place in my hear. Anyway the devs really made sure to destroy something that alot of people once cared deeply about. I’m gonna keep playing the game tho because the gameplay is **** immaculate Expand

But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
