    I wish metacritic have had integration with PSN / Steam etc so that we can see if the haters actually played the game.

    It's 9/10. I can see how some parts of the game can be overwhelming and frustrating, but it's a game story worth going through.

    Rollercoaster of emotions! Bravo! Obviously the first game is better, but second part is really, really good. Gameplay, graphics are out of this world, story has some tricky moments, but overall I really enjoyed it. 9/10

    Amazing game! Technically superior in every way, controls are amazing and graphics are some of the best ever. Great story, very intense. Loss of point for too much Abby and the story did drag slightly.

    Feels like the game "A Plague Tale: Innocence" or a sniper elite game with much better graphics and storytelling. Combat hasn't much to offer, fighting feels and looks good. About guns, you can upgrade them but don't expect they can do major changes in combat just makes you feel like you are improving in some way.     As many reviews have stated, the game is gut wrenching and quite brutal, but it’s also gleefully tense and beautifully crafted.     Very impressive game, lovely environments and amazing graphics, animation and voice acting. Crafting and combat was intense and rewarding. Could have been a bit shorter as it started to drag towards the end but I'd rather a game be a bit too long than too short.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I have NOT completed the game. I am several hours in and have only 2 issues thus far. First, the jump button is completely lame! No need for it, shoulda took a page from Metal Gear Solid V the Phantom Pain. I mean the jump is SUPER lame. Second, how INCREDIBLY LUCKY was Abbey to find Joel after saving her life and after spending Years hunting him and planning and ALL THAT to have him fall in her lap to sucker shoot his knee off? Ugh, PLEASE! Thats that lazy writing some critics have talked about. But other than that...Wow! How utterly amzing is the game? 9 out of 10! Thats how much! If you ever where a Joel and Ellie fan before then part 2 only compliments the part 1. Never played the first but interested in the 2nd? DONT BE! NOT until you play the first. Too many flashbacks will have you confused in the Last of Us timeline. As the the haters? You all can get infected. Oh and Dr. Uckmann, keep on blowing peoples minds, think there's still plenty in the tank!… Expand

It’s the people that get hurt during the process of trying to get revenge and not being able to let something go eventually leads to losing the people you love. It shows how revenge can ruin everything you ever loved. I ultimately ended up not disliking Abby as much as I thought I would, I actually don’t dislike her at all. This game portrays everything they meant to perfectly. I understand that people did not like that Joel died but I cannot deny the fact that it is a great game.… Expand

    Naughty Dog has really challenged the industry and most importantly fans of story telling. Sometimes you find yourself laughing in small scenes just due to the hand gestures characters do or facial expressions. It's acting is done so well in the animation department that littlest animation done by a character can tell the whole dialogue.

    Naughty Dog has proven new industry standard tech in the game engine department with TLOU2. The smallest features go a long way in making this game feel like a full package. Pushing the current gen to it's limits with a sense understanding why they pushed the ps4 so far.

    I give this game a 9 because 30fps is hard to make TLOU2 a 10/10. Shooting games require high framerates for a sense of control when aiming. But thanks to aim assist it helps for the most part. And item's feel useless for the majority of the game. The story is gripping, the environment is beautiful but you don't feel that your exploration is paid off for. But maybe this is Naughty Dog's way of telling the story of the environment around you.

    Reviews will be bad from other user's. I understand why. Loss is hard and life is not always pretty and you may live a life of hardship during your full ride on this planet but it's up to you to break the cycle. How far can you go to find peace, closure or a sense of bliss to truly break the cycle?    … Expand

For those who don't know, there has been a ton of controversy for TLOU2 having things like LGBTQ acceptance (which is a big no-no I guess?) and having realistic proportions for their characters (usually these people like immersion, but I guess not now that immersion means their fantasy girl is more athletic than their fat ass). These idiots just can't shutDismiss the negative reviews. Aparte Ellie ya era lesbiana desde el primer juego. Conclusión: si estás aquí y quieres comprar el juego y tienes dudas, hazlo, ni te deje llevar por las notas falsas que le están dando al juego, es un juego de mínimo una nota 8 en adelante, no le di 10 por qué conserva algunos aspectos que mejorar .… Expand

    this game has an awesome graphic environment it's really amazing that a PS4 can run this. from a narrative stand point has some moments that are because "yes" and I didn't like the companion mechanics that actually useless but from a general stand point is a great game.

Mas é insano, brutal e "realista", desde que você entenda como o jogo quer contar essa história (por mais frustrante que essa história seja), você pode ter certeza de que terá uma boa jogabilidade e imersão. Cenários muito maiores que o primeiro, mas não são obrigatórios, assim como a jogabilidade não te obrigaPode não ser contado da mesma maneira que o primeiro, porque não é o primeiro. Mas é insano, brutal e "realista", desde que você entenda como o jogo quer contar essa história (por mais frustrante que essa história seja), você pode ter certeza de que terá uma boa jogabilidade e imersão. Cenários muito maiores que o primeiro, mas não são obrigatórios, assim como a jogabilidade não te obriga a jogar furtivamente, acrescentou mecânicas de combate e detalhes insanos para TUDO no jogo, que eu não achava que rodariam no PS4. Dêem uma chance para esse jogo, que é uma obra de arte e assim como toda obra de arte, precisa ser entendida. Não é perfeito, nada é, mas que é bem feito em todos os sentidos, é. E só porque não se adapta no que você gosta, não seja babaca, não seja um hater de dar uma nota 0-5, sei que não é o jogo da sua vida, mas com certeza não merece essa nota. Uma comparação mais que perfeita, são pessoas que dizem que Breaking Bad é "lento" e "parado", sem entender NADA do contexto e narrativa da história. Para TLOU é a mesma coisa, estamos em um mundo pós-apocaliptico, a Ellie não é o Rambo, não é o Nathan Drake do Uncharted, é uma obra REALISTA.     -they challenge your views, both on what a game can do and what it can be.

    TLOUS2 is an amazing game:

    - it improves over all the good aspects of the first game.
    - Story telling is very well done, character design is superb.
    - The STRONG point of the first game was in the Character design and growth which is the main focus of this game, not in the main "plot line" of the game. Naughty dog did not reinvent story telling with TLOUS (since this kind of plots have been all over the place in post apocalyptic literature, it goes to show you how ignorant the majority of this reviewers are).
    -They designed a story that follows the natural progress and logical flow starting from the very last scene of the LAST OF US.
    - Its a game that doesn't try to please you, or go out of its way to give you what you want (go to Disney for that).

    If you want a game to please you and that you know what to expect from it then please buy Call of Duty and Assassin's creed, I don't hear you complaining about those games being always the same and having the most deviating stories. Gameplay virtually hasn't changed for the last 10 years.

The “woke” moments that so many felt were going to be forced, were not existent. Seriously. One of the largest, and most “woke” parts of the leaks turned out to be completely false. If the game were exactly what the leaks led us to believe, then I would be standing with you, bashing Naughty Dog for turning on it’s audience.

    PLEASE do not think that you should skip the game because you read the leaks and were upset. Not all the information was accurate, and you would be doing yourself a massive disservice by missing this experience.

    My review:

    The game is genuinely incredible, and is a true predecessor to the original game that we all fell in love with. The gameplay has vastly improved and has updated with the times. TLOU, while incredible for it’s storytelling, was never the most groundbreaking gameplay experience. TLOU2 has taken the same DNA and made it far more tense, and fast paced. Add that to Naughty Dog’s largest maps ever, and you have a recipe for success. There are plenty of places to explore and most all, feel important. Whether it is a store that offers extra dialogue, or character building cut scenes; or a small abandoned enemy outpost that restocks you and sends you on a treasure hunt for a lost supply drop. Please make sure you note, that there is far more to do outside of the “on-rails” story.

    The graphics from a Naughty Dog game are always expected to be “Best-in-Class” level, and TLOU2 definitely does not ruin that expectation. I played the game with 4K with HDR, and it was beautiful. If you have a PlayStation 4 Pro, and a 4K HDR tv, this game is a must own for that experience alone. Finally the story. I am NOT going to give away any spoilers, so I am going to have to be a bit generic. The game is dark. There is never a moment to breathe. The sense of danger is always there for the characters, and the sense of dread is even more present. Naughty Dog knows what made the first game great, and dialed it up to 11. The new characters are not quite as memorable as Tess, Joel, or Ellie, but you will still find yourself caring for them through your care for Ellie. The story gets moving fairly quickly, and only picks up pace from there. Once I was about 6 hours in, I found myself looking around for collectibles less, just to see what happens next in the story.

    Overall, if you enjoyed the first game, then TLOU2 is a must play. The game is so much more that the leaks led us to believe. Do yourself the favor of playing this game.    … Expand

    Just give the game of chance. Is it as good as part 1? Surely not. But it is yet a fantastic game. Everybody knows movie sequels, where the story goes in another direction as hoped. Many of them are great movies, although or maybe even because you expect something different.
    You simply should not miss this game just because of other voices.

    1. Ellie being gay. This shouldn't be a big surprise to anyone who played the DLC of the first game as it becomes clear that Ellie has a thing for girls. Ellie being gay isn't forced and it adds to the game. 2. The whole revenge thing.    Alright so I'm sure you've seen all the negative reviews and I would just like to address some of the things that people didn't like about this game.

    The Last of Us Part II is not perfect. Creating a "perfect" piece of media is, in my opinion, impossible. However, this game is pretty damn close. It's a shame that people decided it sucked before they even gave it a chance. Naughty Dog spent years of development painstakingly crafting their best vision for this game, and yet people are so quick to attack with mindless fury.

Loving Ellie and her supporting cast, the game retains the brutal realistic writing and animation of TLOU. I haven't noticed any gender or identity politics yet (only 12 hours in), so objectively, I canA worthy sequel to TLOU. I think that a lot (not all, not the majority) of the hate is just homophobic **** I totally respect people that give a negative opinion with well based ideas and I’m happy that everyone can express their opinion, but when i read “just LGBTQ propaganda”
    or “gay agenda” i think that is just pure hate without context. Again, i understand people that don’t love the story or the gameplay, but rating 0 just for “a political view”, or in general rating anything without experiencing it before is just immoral.

    Personally i really loved the game, the death of Joel was really upsetting for me, but you get the chance to see him quite often in the game.
    The gameplay was pretty similar of the part 1 honestly; visual and audio were phenomenal, wow.

    P.S. Stop, Abby is not transgender (Even if she was it wouldn’t have been a problem obviously).

While I can't see myself giving this game a perfect score (no one is perfect!), it definitely is one of the most necessary games that everyone should play. It has stunning graphics, and anyone who played the first game will be pleased to know not much of the gameplay has changed. The biggest draw I felt was the progressive theme that really had a lasting impact on me. White men were mostly done away with in the story, with strong female leads taking the reins. This game is also a landmark in achievement; featuring what I believe is the first transgender love scene in gaming history. The game is a milestone in dark storytelling, where you shouldn't expect to be happy with your circumstances at any point in the game. In fact, by the end, I was wondering just what kind of emotional pain the developers were intending to inflict upon me by the end of the long path of depression. If you want an incredibly inclusive narrative that puts bigots right where they belong, check this game out! Hopefully the next installment in the series will feature even more the the same scenery, gameplay, and progressive values that any non-judgmental person can enjoy!… Expand

    Not completed as just got today so not sure how there are so many comments putting this game down, I think the graphics are outstanding and I’m enjoying the story so far. I think the people who are complaining are people who didn’t even like the first game and went into playing this one wanting to hate it.

    Ahora, hablando de la historia en general el TLOU2 tiene algunos errores para los mas fanáticos de la saga o mejor dicho esta entrega encaro de una forma errónea algunas secciones de la historia, pero creo que no es suficiente para que el TLOU2 sea tan criticado por la gente en general, en mi opinión la gente no valora cosas que el juego nos deja como los momentos de tensión en cada enfrentamiento ya sea con infectados como con los integrantes de los diferentes bandos, la cinemáticas que se disfrutan bastante, los gráficos de cada sector del videojuego que son muy buenos y perfectamente pulidos en general, las armas y los sonidos ya sea de muerte de los infectados o de los gritos de los no infectados cuando estos también mueren o nos descubren en caso de salir del sigilo, ademas de la banda sonora muy buena que este juego nos regala, cada cámara de ejecución es increíble y podemos ver a partir de esto que el juego es bastante gráfico en cada ejecución, ademas de que juega un papel prefecto haciendo que el juego sera divertido y disfrutable, tanto de ver como de jugar, creo que eso es algo que también hay que valorar para bien y suma puntos a su favor.
    En mi opinión el TLOU2 es un muy buen juego en muchos aspectos y parece que incluso candidato a pelear por el goty, de todas maneras eso ya es gusto personal de cada uno, yo solo aporto mi opinión como hacemos todos y creo que en conclusión la nueva entrega de Naughty Dog es un juego muy bueno, divertido, entretenido, complicado, y en mi opinión recomendable.    … Expand

    The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

    Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
