    Мне игра понравилась в целом, ведь очень редко бывает такое что ты играешь в игры аж до 5 утра и потом идешь наработу, и после этого тоже продолжаешь играть в игры аж до 5 утра.

    Вот за что можно поругать девов, это за лживую маркетинговую компанию, хотя это часто бывает в игровой индустрии, но я лично помню трейлер в 2016 году, а так же я бы ответил за слегка "позитивные левые" взгляды    Мне игра понравилась в целом, ведь очень редко бывает такое что ты играешь в игры аж до 5 утра и потом идешь наработу, и после этого тоже продолжаешь играть в игры аж до 5 утра.

    Прошел я игру на максимальной сложности за 40-45 часов а так же собрал примерно 50% ачивок.

    Что было хорошо в игре,
    - графика и детализация. Мне было очень приятно расмтаривать некоторые локации и предметы. Атмосфера была сделала очень хорошо.

    - Лично для меня сюжет во 2 части лучше чем в первой части. Лишь потому что я не особо люблю "роуд муви". Это когда героям нужно добратся с точки А в точку Б. Это вынлядит так примитивно и понятно, что даже за сюжетом назвать нельзя. По этому я просто не люблю такое. Я говорю о сюжете без персонажей. Мы их обсудим дальше.

    - Геймлпей мне очень понравился на харде он давал хорошо так прикурить и я после этой игре стал слегка ненавидить собак. Хотя некоторые механики пропали и мне это не понравилось, к примеру в 1 части можно было скинуть вещи со стола что бы отвлечь врага, а здесь такого не было. Так же враги стали очень разнообразные и не то что в 1 части. Вот они были болванчики, а эти реально были сложнын, но не идеальные.

    - Вот что мне не понравилось во 2 части это персонажи, ведь они были на много хуже чем в первой части. Здесь я хочу сказать об персонажах и как они влияют на сюжет. По сути, сюжет в 1 части так себе, но все вытаскивает химия которая происходит между Джоулом и Елли. Если вы смотрели фильм "О чем говорят мужчины", "Зеленая книга" либо аниме ДжоДжо 3 часть. Сюжет который развивается в этих фильма и в игре так себе, но персонажи и их взаимоотношения делают арку очень интересной и тебе хочется за ними наблюдать и смотреть как же они развиваются. Уже эти события делают фильм, игру и аниме интересной.
    Если взять в целом, сюжет + персонажи, то конечно 1 часть выигрывает без сомнения.

    - Что осталось примерно на том же уровне но мб чуть хуже это музыка. Для мне треки во 2 части были чуть хуже чем в 1 части.

    Вывод такой, если вы не фанат стелс екшенов, то может игра будет вам скучной. Так же, если не нравится сюжетное повествования, аля сначала события а потом обьяснения, то вам скорее может не понравится. Но думаю, что у многих слегка были другие ожидания по игре по этому такой юзер скор.

    PS: Так же я бы отметил что данная игра ощущается другой. Я бы сказал что она не подходит под last of us 2(В англ есть такие слова как fit/suite вот как раз и они хорошо описывают идею), но это не означает что игра не может существовать либо она плохая. Она просто другая.    … Expand

    Great storytelling, beautiful graphics, music and production values overall. Game mechanics did not change at all since the first TLoU, which is kinda sad. It still works but it's easier to get tired of repetition.

    I'm not gonna give it 10/10, because it's not the perfect game (I'm not sure if a perfect game will ever exist), but it's phenomenal. Here is my simple advice if you are wondering about buying this game: The only potentially bad thing you can experience from this game is some story choices you may not like. It's completely subjective. Personally, I loved it! Everything else (gameplay,I'm not gonna give it 10/10, because it's not the perfect game (I'm not sure if a perfect game will ever exist), but it's phenomenal.     Ok a nivel jugable el juego es espectacular, la verdad me puso en situaciones en las que extrañaba mucho eso del 1, la inteligencia artificial no es de las mejores que que eh visto pero está fantástica.

    Ok , no tengo tanto problema con el guión del juego, pero no me cabe en la cabeza la parte en la Joel acepta ir con Abby a su guarida cuando Joel es la persona más desconfiada de la tierra, ok bueno lo otro es que te obligan a usar a Abby forzosamente casi todo el juego lo cual me parece torturante, personalmente logré entenderla a ella, este juego te enseña que para unos alguien puede ser su héroe pero para otros no, pero carajo matar a Joel de una forma tan forzosamente? Bueno dejando de lado eso resumo que la historia me pareció buena en sí pero la narrativa no y además como fan me sentí TORTURADO así que por eso le doy un 7 de 10.    … Expand

Grandisimo juego, las mejoras en el game play respecto al primero son muy buenas, el juego te da la opción del steal o convertirte en rambo, esto ultimo pude parecer fuera de lugar pero se resuelve jugando en los niveles de dificultad mas altos, por dos cosas no le pongo 10, primero la participación de los infectados creo que pudo ser mejor ya no causa tanta tensión encontrartelos y el segundo es que la historia principalmente en la primera mitad tiene un par de momentos que rompen el ritmo, la historia a mi me gusto mucho, creo que no va a ser del agrado de todos ya que se aleja de una manera muy poco común del camino del héroe que normalmente encuentras pero el resultado me dejo satisfecho, el final del primero creo que es uno de los mejores de la historia y en esta secuela si juzgas solamente por ese aspecto el juego anterior sale triunfante por su ambiguedad, sin embargo a mi parecer analizando la experiencia completa the last of us part 2 esta a la altura.… Expand

    Finished the game with 50+ hours, the basic gameplay is same as part1, i mostly play with stealth style, i wish there is more improvement on that like dragging bodies etc, however the level design have improved lot, much more open ended especially early level design, but i wish there is more path to arrive a destination instead of forced to go through certain way.     Так что ребят. Быдло, которое посмотрело летсплей и поставили низкую оценку за лгбт э, открываю тайну - лгбт там от силы 3%!!!! Максимум! Игра вообще не про это.

    Желаю вам пройти первую часть, пройти вторую. Получить налёт ужасного послевкусие в хорошем смысле этого слова и не слушать Дебилов блогеров которые пытаются выехать на поливании гавном таких хороших игр.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I will review the 3 main aspects of the game:
    - Graphics
    - Gameplay
    - Story

    1.- Graphics:
    Astonishing, beautiful and out of this world graphics. The character's expressions were so realistic. Forests, landscapes, skyscrappers, all of it, it is perfect. The physics of the game were incredible too, as a programmer, I can´t imagine how much time, frustration and coffee cups did it take for the developers to achieve only the rope's physics. Such level of detail gives this game a huge added value.

    2.- Gameplay:
    Gameplay is pretty good too. The game is significantly easier than the first one, but still challenging, the game had me restarting some encounters over and over because of me failing to achieve the encounter in full stealth. Even though I didn't use the difficulty customization, kudos to the developers for thinking about that too, and giving players options for lowering the difficulty if necessary.

    However, there were some parts that were quite boring because the game has you walking for quite some time without actually encountering enemies of any kind. This gets slightly compensated with the visuals you get to see during these long walking sequences.

    3.- Story
    This is probably the most controversial and prone to debate aspect of the game. In order to understand the writer's narrative choices, people have to understand the aim of Naughty Dog for this game.

    Clearly this is not a Joel & Ellie game as it was with the first release. In this game, our protagonists face the consequences of the decisions taken in the first game, and THEY LOSE. it is now their time to suffer those consequences. Joel dying within the 1st hour of the game is probably the most realistic outcome the story could possibly have. Players of course are not happy with these choices, but me personally, it didn't really affect me, I appreciated the story. However, there are some things I did not like, which I list below.

    - Abby's gameplay:
    It is not Abby with whom I have a problem with, but with the fact that the game makes you play with her for the last 6-8 hours. Abby is a character recently introduced, I'm not supposed to care if she's got an affair with Owen or that kind of personal things. Abby became highly relevant after you discover her relation with Joel's actions in the first game, but that aside, there's not much story to tell about her, I think that her appereance on the game could've been reduced a lot.

    - Tommy's sudden change of mind:
    At the beginning of the game he shows himself reluctant to go after Abby, and right before Abby shows at the theater, Tommy suggests to go back to Jackson, since these people've already gotten what they deserved, but then at Dina & Ellie's house, you see this arrogant and rude Tommy that out of nowhere is convinced to kill Abby and Lev. Maybe because of Jesse's death, I don't know, but it didn't feel natural for Tommy, specially because throughout both games, Tommy has clearly shown a kind personality.

Jugabilidad divertida, tensa y desafiante, gráficos espectaculares, con unas animaciones que dejan con la boca abierta, y una historia que, siendo lo peor del juego, sigue teniendo algunos personajes interesantes, grandes giros de guión y momentos épicos. Puede que no sea un juego perfecto y que decepcione en su historia, peroEl juego me ha parecido de 10 en casi todos sus apartados. I am not saying that this is bad, but in reality there are not many people like that, 1 person out of 100 has different and putting so many takes away realism. Well, the game I recommend 100%, they have to play it so they will feel more empathy with the characters, there will be strong moments in which they will feel frustrated, sad and confused by what I recommend to stop, similar and then continue.     graphics and world: 10/10 this is the most beautiful game on the PS4 by far. its world is extremely detailed and full of letters, and notes detailing small tales and lore.

    story: 9/10 the story, while controversial, really worked for me. it made me think and most importantly feel for not just Ellie and Joel, but eventually, some characters who at the start I did not expect to feel for at all. I believe that the story will only really work if it manages to pull this off, and for me, it did. of course, there are some minor things I did not like throughout the story, but nothing that ruined the experience at all. the story is emotional and left me thinking about it for days.

    sound and music: 10/10 the soundtrack is absolutely amazing and works so well for the game, being unique to the sequel while keeping up with the overall themes of the series. the sound design is also very good, with gunshot sounds standing out to me as powerful blasts that disrupt everything and ring in the air afterwards.

    total: 9.25/10 the last of us part two was a sequel that while at times didn't feel like it wasn't doing justice to the characters, but certainly did do justice to the gruesome world they lived in and left me thinking about it for days.    … Expand

As much as the LGBTQ/feminist message they are clearly trying to force down your throat is appalling and so exaggerated that it completely fails at getting any intelligent message across, the game is an absolute masterpiece.     Negative points:I think the part where you play as Abby is a little bit too long.But that is okay for me.So the next point I really dont like is that you have to play as Abby when you fight the first time against Ellie.But for me is the biggest negative point that the end is too hopeless,Ellie have nothing more,no revenge,she lost Joel ,jessie ,JJ and Dina.Tommy hates her.And she lost two fingers and cant play the guitar from joel anymore.This is the saddest ending at all,for such a great character.But Abbye get all in all a very hopefull ending what is not fair for me.

    All in all it is a goodgame but I think the first Game is 1 Point better.Also I dont belive that they will make a part 3,because I dont think that they can tell anathor Story about Ellie.So the only option would be make a Game with a new Main antagonist or with abby.And that would probably noboy buy.    … Expand

    The leaks destroyed the intent and experience of this game. The gameplay is top notch as are the performances, graphics and writing. The story isn’t perfect but it manages to ask really interesting questions and the experience of playing this game is like nothing else that has come before. Do yourself a favor and play this game.

    Okay i finished this game on the 20/6/2020. I was lucky enough to be able to avoid all story spoilers and i was lucky enough to go in blind, so how is the Last of Us part 2 here is a full review with positives and negatives. This review will have some spoilers but nothing to heavy.

    First of all everyone say's the graphics are amazing whihc is true so let's just skip that and focus on    Okay i finished this game on the 20/6/2020. I was lucky enough to be able to avoid all story spoilers and i was lucky enough to go in blind, so how is the Last of Us part 2 here is a full review with positives and negatives. This review will have some spoilers but nothing to heavy.

    First of all everyone say's the graphics are amazing whihc is true so let's just skip that and focus on something major the story. The stroy mainly takes places 4 years after the events of the first game, this time around we are mainly in the shoes of Ellie going through Seattle for majority of the game. The story focuses on revenge and it's a bloody/gory. The first half of the game is easily a 10/10 and focuses on Ellie however *spoiler warning* when you start to play as Abby that is where the story begins to fall apart, the first chapter as one of the worst character Abby is disgusting and terrible, i was so bored i almost fell asleep but oh boy was it worth getting past day 1 as her because day 2 as Abby was amazing. The story begins to pick up again and you get to spend more time with new characters such as Lev. The section as Abby does contain a disgusting sex scene which is gross as Abby looks like a guy however one past that it's fine. Day 3 as Abby is one of the best chapters as it contains a large scale battle that has so much gore it can make many people happy and the graphics really pick up at this point. Once you reach the end of the chapter the game forces you to do something you do not want to do but whatever. The game then takes a secodn to slow down and put's you back into Ellie's shoes for pretty much the rest of the game besides a short part. This ending portion is amazing as it takes a minute to slow down and give insight into how characters feel. The ending portion with final location is incredible and you get hyped up and ready HOWEVER they do fall short and the ending does not feel like a real ending it is just missing something. Overall the story is still fantastic and most revirews are from people who have not even played the game just watched it or were reading leaks before it came out even though most were fake.

    Next up a minor thing- the music while playing felt like it was lacking comparing it to last of us 1 but you do get to play the guitar at some parts and it is amazing to hear some music from Ellie and Joel.

    Next up gameplay- The gameplay in last of us part 2 is a massive step up, unlike Joel which was bash square (even though it was so fun and i love it) in Last of Us 2 Ellie can not do that so she uses her knife and a dodge mechanic. The gameplay is fun and the guns/ animations are satisfying however you think with a knife Ellie would have a quicker time to kill. The best part about gameplay is the climbing/ prone mechanics. These really add different ways to play the game for example you can sprint dive and quickly aim a gun or bow and don't get me started on the bow it is amazing.

    The game does contain minor bugs for example the noise when a enemy see's you keeps playing even if they don't see you and sometime Ellie won't do the animation straight away.

    While playing Last of Us 2 you can see the care and effort they put into the story, it may fall abit short at some moments, i have played hundreds of games and in every game i have ever played i never really cry however Last of us part 2 made me cry 5 times, the game is very emotionally draining.

    Wrap up- Overall most reviews are fake, the game may not be perfect but what game is? Overall the game only has two things i hate, Abby and the lack of music. I waited 7 years for this game and was it worth it? yes it was, it the game better than the first one? debatable, to me some parts are just way better and others are not. This game i still classify as a masterpiece just like number 1. For anyone who is sitting on teh fence wondering if it is worth playing, it 100% is.

    Update: I now have finished the game and stand by the score. The game is not perfect. I think the biggest problem for me is that the order of story components feels jumbled and impacts the pacing and opinion of the characters. I think it would have been better to set it up to have the player warm up to the new characters more instead of trying to patronizingly sell it to the player after the fact. It is a lot of effort by the writers and director with little reward. That being said, the gameplay and atmosphere and settings are all amazing so that I am left with a memorable experience.

    Just one other comment that I feel the negative visceral reaction to the game is so disappointing. I think it reflects a large swath of the younger generations that feel they have no purpose and have not developed an ability to see the bigger picture in their lives. Just like the savages that are tearing down statues and rioting, a lack of purpose can lead to depression, anger and resentment. I guess it is better to have an emotional person review-bomb a game rather than set a store on fire though.    … Expand

People are mad because (minor spoilers) the main character from the last game, Joel, is brutally killed off at the start, and then you play as his killer in the latter half to understand why she would do something that awful. Players can't get over this and it taints their view of the game.

    This game's objectively the masterpiece that all the critics say, but the players rage, lack of self honesty and desperate need for vengeance ruins it- Just as it does for the main characters. It's pretty brilliant, actually. And just like the main characters, the audience is slowly starting to come around and realize how foolish they've been- The metacritic score has risen from 2 to 4 in only a few days, and it'll keep going up.

    Personally? I had no problem with it. I'm thrilled they killed Joel. The guy shot up a hospital and ruined our only shot at undoing the apocalypse, leading to millions more deaths. (This is indisputable if you heard the voice logs in the hospital).
    I just wish Joel's death had been a player controlled moment. It's not every day you get to kill Hitler. 9/10, miserable but amazing.    … Expand

    Story was great, very enjoyable. I found the controls and combat in the first game very repetitive and boring but found a huge improvement in gameplay in this game. Took me around 20 hours to complete the story.

The game has great graphics, a great story, and it takes a path of its own that some people didn’t like. Whatever. People are stupid. The game has its issue, controls are meh like the first, stiff walking and the like. But good overall.

    On a technical level the game is absolutely incredible. The quality of the visuals is amazing, and even more so considering the hardware its running on. Tons of beautiful environments. Animation quality is generally extremely high. The new rope physics are very impressive.

    Exploration, combat and stealth gameplay generally works really well. Searching for and gathering loot can become a bit tedious. Jumping and platforming is a weak point. Certain doors and other passages can trigger a change in location which you can't reverse for no real reason other than the game simply not letting you, breaking immersion a bit if you missed some loot in the previous room. Accuracy RNG for ranged weapons isn't really a fun mechanic but you don't notice it very often. Upgrading weapons and skills is pretty underwhelming, but also not distracting.

    The narrative is very straightforward. Closer to a character study (of some great characters) than a grandiose story. The acting is excellent. Just like in the first game the playable characters are not defined by the player. Moral choices are made by the characters without player interaction. There is quite a bit of nonlinearity in the narrative, most notably including a /very/ long (too long) intermission between the start and conclusion of a pivotal scene.

    Easily one of the best games of its type of this console generation. Congratulations to the team.    … Expand

I loved it from start to finish, felt emotionally attached to the characters throughout, loved the storyline, and of course the gameplay. Gameplay is very similar to TLOU1 with a few more mechanics, so if you loved the first one and feel ready for a different experience with plenty of surprises, pick up the game! It will be a rollercoaster!

    More details - Spoilers ahead:

    Most people complain about Joel's fate, but I thought that was a great piece of writing. After what happened in TLOU 1 it's only natural that people want to hunt him down. It was hard to watch, but hey, that's TLOU. This sets in motion a revenge story that sees Ellie spiral more and more until you can't recognise her anymore. Again, people say that they missed the quirky young Ellie, but hey, that's the point I guess. She loses it.

    Then you get to play Abby (again loads of people are pissed off that she doesn't look like a "classic" girl. Get over yourselves and play the damn game!). People seem to struggle to empathise with her apparently, but I loved playing her and as her story unravels I got more and more attached to her. In the final confrontation I was begging Ellie not to kill her. I definitely felt as emotional playing n°2 as I did playing °1. I guess people expected another beautiful Joel and Ellie adventure, but for me, this was way better and succeeded in creating another amazing story.

    9/10 - Removed a star because gameplay hasn't evolved much and it was a bit repetitive. Also felt that the game was a little too politically correct, going a bit overboard on the LGBTQ trans stuff. I have no problem with that of course, but it was so present that I was pulled out of the game and started thinking about how political the studio was getting.    … Expand

    First of all, obviously the graphics and gameplay are miles better than the first game, it's a lot easier to play and the environments are amazing, from riding around downtown Seattle to hiding in the underground, it's awesome. But story wise, a lot of people hate it. I personally like the story, and yes, the way Joel died SUCKED, it was really upsetting to see one of the most beloved game characters ever get in the head with a golf club, and maybe they could of changed the way he died, but it happend. I loved the game for the first half where tyou play as ellie, I didnt have one bad thing to say about it. And I enjoyed most of abby's play through as well, the only reason I gave this game a nine instead of ten is for the Chapter seattle day one (Abbys Version). At this point in the game I still hated abby and wanted her to die for what she did to Joel, and I did not think I would be playing as her again. I had no motivation to play the second half of the game as her, and really had a hard time playing the game. This changed by the time i got to seattle day 2 and I saw how nice abby actually was, but still, that solid 5 hours of gameplay in between stops this game from a 10/10. Los enemigos nuevos son muy inteligentes y el juego tiene muchísimos detalles increíbles que sólo disfrutarás si lo juegas con tranquilidad... , no le doy el 10 únicamente porque creo que la Historia podría haber sido mejor pero me ha encantado!

Furthermore, the attention to detail is beyond perfect, almost godlike. Every little inch of the game got the attention it deserved, from corners, items to drops of sweat.

    And now the story & gameplay. I don't know what people where expecting really. The setting is supposed to be 5 years later, even the characters should be more mature. The whole plot could have been a bit better, but I found that it was well connected with the first part. Seriously, did you people expect "to go find a cure yeahhh happy ending" after the first part? The whole is game is very well created, I enjoyed it a lot more than the first one. It's got a lot of "wow" moments, a lot of adrenaline unexpected moments, LOTS of violence and it's creepy/horror-ish AF. How can you NOT like that? Especially the Abby parts are very well made.

    The only downside actually (and that is why i give it a 9) was that for the most part, the gameplay is pretty much the same as the first part. It's very well made, has added parts to it, more weapons etc, but after 7 years I guess they could have made it a bit more interactive and a bit more interesting. I kinda enjoyed the Abby parts more because of that, it was kinda refreshing. Playing as Ellie felt like Part 1 with better graphics.

    If you are still thinking about giving this game a go, just go ahead. If you are someone with at least average IQ who can appreciate something well made you are going to like it. Of course you don't have to give this game a 8+ rating (ok tastes differ) but there's got to be something very wrong with you if you don't enjoy it at least a bit.    … Expand

Let’s be honest, nothing was ever going to beat Part I, The Last of Us was lightning in a bottle and there is no way they could be able to top it. The Last of Us is also not a happy game with a happy ending and closure. Joel’s death in Part II is so impactful for not only Ellie, but for the player as there is that connection they feel with the character and they can genuinely feel Ellie’s pain. I enjoy the revenge aspect of the game and that the game could’ve been Ellie kills them all and avenges Joel and lives happily with Dina in Jackson, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. I think what hurts the game but makes it bold for them to make you play as Abby, a character every player wants to see dead. However the purpose of those scenes isn’t for you to sympathize with her, but more to make you see similarities between Ellie and Abby and how the relationship between Abby and Lev is very similar to the early relationship between Joel and Ellie in Part I. However I feel they spend a little too much time with Abby and trying to make you understand her and sympathize with her which largely fails as she is irredeemable for killing Joel and Jessie and almost killing Tommy and Dina. But I feel this is more up to the player to like her rather then them really wanting you to so that the ending where Ellie lets her go with Lev makes sense with Ellie’s character. She has found a form of closure. Is Part II better then the first installment? No, and it was never going to be. Is Part II a bad game? Not at all. I believe people went in expecting something that was never going to be there or was promised and that ruined the game for them. I am interested to see how the story will progress from here as the game ends with an open door.… Expand

    The last of us 2 es un videojuego "sobresaliente", sin llegar a ser la "obra maestra", que si fue el primero. Mejora absolutamente en todo a su antecesor, en lo que viene siendo el apartado técnico y jugable, pero, se queda un poco más corto en cuanto a historia e narrativa.
    Un titulo muy divertido, de lo mejor del 2020.

    La manera en la que el título te pone en los zapatos de los dos puntos de vista opuestos de la narrativa me parece increíble. Cómo explora la manera en la que empatizamos (o no) con los personajes en pantalla. Un detalle brillante es la parte del francotirador. Delicioso.

    El final tiene serios problemas de ritmo y el juego está demasiado largo para su propio bien, pero es innegable que hay bastante que aplaudir aquí más allá de lo técnico -que es una verdadera locura audiovisual.

    Los temas que maneja la narrativa son manejados con una maestría que no se había visto en el medio. Entregando un final que te deja el alma torcida.

    Game play wise I enjoyed how they improved from the original and the new accessibility features are something that I can see many companies applying in the future.

I want to speak about the game and give it the most objective assessment, as I am a very long-time fan of this series of games and games Studio Naughty Dog. You can talk about it a lot, but I will start with all the provocative plot. 1. Plot and narration: I adequately accepted the main character's relationship and subsequent LGBT scenes. The fact is that the consequence of the cause of revenge is completely empty. This is an accident! If Joel hadn't found Abby's father, then Abby wouldn't have come looking for him, and everyone would have been happy. Joel had killed too many people along the way, and surely all the children of his murdered parents wouldn't follow him?! The ending is very confusing and does not give a clear answer. Or just Ellie takes too long to come up with this answer, for which they built an entire location. I have no complaints about the very last moment. Ellie realized that it was time to stop. That violence won't get her anywhere and that she should just move on. But she realizes this too late, and the audience absorbs it and remains with the open ending. 1.1.Narrative: The Last of Us-was the most breakthrough project in the history of video games. It was perfect for everything from building locations, to minor dialogues (of course, the soundtrack, story and gameplay in addition), but when I think about this game, I imagine one big journey with a large number of different characters. And for me personally the problem was the fact that a large part of the game depends on one great location - Seattle. And all the characters are shown to us there, but unfortunately they are almost not disclosed, such as the antagonist Isaac, who was randomly removed as much as possible. It seems to me that the screenwriter of "wild West World" mostly ruined the project, rather than improved it.! 7/10! . 2. the Soundtrack. Disappoint you. It has become much smaller. For those who played in the first part., remember the last moment with David on the penultimate location. Everything was perfect and professional in terms of cinematography. A perfectly set stage and music playing at the right moment, and most importantly WHAT kind of music. Even when you normally listen to OST The Last of Us, every piece gives you goosebumps or tears. There was almost no such thing here. Perhaps Gustavo Santaolaglia has outlived everything, but something very remarkable was not.! 7.5/10! 3. Graphics and technical features: THIS is THE most TECHNOLOGICAL GAME that exists at the moment. Comparison with RDR2: RDR2 was done for about 7 years. It is also a very technological game and still in the open world. And TLoU Part ll was created for 6 years, but without an open world. I can assume that due to the limited location (although they are already huge there), you can work out every detail in the game and NAUGHTY DOG did it. 9.5/10 . 4. Gameplay: good old stealth action, only many times improved. The game can work out a lot of game situations. And this is one of the main rules of gameplay. Shooting is worked out to the smallest detail and with all the tin. But again, they have already lost the concept. They introduced some unusual mechanics, but the stealth concept itself did not change at all. 9/10. VERDICT: The Last of Us Part ll is an Arthouse story with a mediocre script, but with the best gameplay and graphics at the time of 2020. 8.25/10. I will put 9, since the score of 4.4 is undeserved for such a good game… Expand

    It's the best graphics of PlayStation history, great gameplay. I wish it has a multiplayer so I would give it a full rate, however must play it. It's game of the year of 2020.

    I have fully completed the game. Stayed away from all the trailers and leaks (FORTUNATELY!). This game is a must buy for all who loved the first one. The game play is fantastic. The sound and voice acting is top notch! The first few hours to me at least were a bit slow but after that it was great! 9/10!

    I'm 14 hours into the game and although the story is more "straight forward" than the first one, it's not bad as people are putting it at to be. It sure starts slows but after about the 8-10 hour mark it sure picks up pace. The graphics, audio and gameplay are stunning. Impossible to rate this game lower than a 8.

Personally I quite enjoyed this game and although I had some issues with the story and pacing, it still left a mark on me. It is however a very bleak game and at the end of it, I felt emotionally and mentally drained. I do not however regret getting this game at launch as my playthrough clocked in at about 25 hours but that probably doesn't include all the times I died.

    My biggest gripe with this game is that they destroyed Joel's character and to a lesser extent Tommy's. In the first game, it was established that Joel did not trust people (at the beginning of the outbreak, Joel did not stop the car for a family on the side of the road and told Tommy to keep driving; Joel ran over a man he knew was pretending to be injured because he had high suspicions that it was a trap). In this Tommy and Joel gave out their real names to a group of strangers and put themselves in a situation where they were easily ambushed. This felt like lazy writing to me and was just used as a plot device to move the story forward.

    Fanboys will say that Neil Druckmann addresses this by saying that Joel and Tommy became soft but this was not properly conveyed. They were still going out on regular patrols and if anything, Joel's experience would have led him to be more careful, not less. Druckmann says that Abby and her group were just regular people, not hunters. This is shown not to be the case as Abby and her group are worse; they've WLF (wolves) and they kill strangers on sight.

    The game would've have been better if:
    1. They established Joel and Ellie's relationship a bit more. They should've had you playing as both characters for maybe 1/4 of the game and then kill Joel off. This would've been more impactful and would've given players what they wanted from the first game.
    2. They should've started off with Abby's arc and established her character if they wanted you to sympathise with her. Abby is actually one of the worse people in the game. She tortures Joel, kills god knows how many people and has no remorse or PTSD about any of it. She's a straight up psychopath. She did however grow on me but I generally forgive relatively easy when I'm playing something I enjoy.

    Now for the good parts. The game is astoundingly beautiful, everything from the characters to the environment are breathtaking. It'll probably be the prettiest game on the PS4. The mo-cap and the voice acting are top notch. The gameplay is excellent and much more refined than the first. The rope mechanics are pretty impressive. I can definitely say I had a lot of fun playing it.

    I also applaud Naughty Dog for trying something different however I wished they executed it better and responded better to criticism. I do not like the fact that they went to great lengths to deceive the fans by modifying the trailers to give the impression that Joel will have a bigger presence than he did. Plenty of people don't/won't enjoy it and that's fair. It's a very divisive game.    … Expand

    Yes, this is not the sequel we are waiting for and yes , the story is not breathtaking as the first game. However, gameplaywise this is the best game I've ever played hands down. You will not be sorry for playing this game

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I absolutely adored TLOU1. I wasn't sure that I wanted this story to be continued. The thing that made the ending of the previous game so perfect was the glaring lack of choices that the player is given: in the hands of another game developer, the player might have been given a binary decision about whether to save Ellie or to save the rest of the world. Instead, the player is forced down a path, to act against their better judgment, enacting Joel’s selfishness and continuing the global nightmare of fungal zombie apocalypse.

    Part II takes that design choice and expands on it. Throughout the majority of the game, the player must make the onscreen characters do things that the player themselves does not want to do. It is uncomfortable.

    This game is not light-hearted escapism. It’s heavy. It’s also a riveting piece of fiction. With TLOU2, NaughtyDog managed to pull off something remarkable: they continue this story in a way that feels like a natural consequence of the previous game's ending. The storytelling and dialogue of this complex, layered epic are unparalleled in the medium of video games. The onscreen performances are so real that you don't feel like you're watching animated characters on the screen, you feel like you're watching real people. You see their micro-expressions, see hope and despair in their eyes as they navigate the extraordinary circumstances in which they have been placed.

    Almost every character you meet is layered and complex. I say “almost every character” because there is one character, Jesse, who felt as though he didn't have enough screen time for me to understand his relationship with Ellie. Given how nuanced all the other characters are, this is a relatively minor complaint. Ellie is quieter, sadder, angrier this time around, and that feels righteous to me, given the deeply traumatic last several years of her life. Abby's character is impeccably drawn as well. At the beginning of the game I absolutely despised her. As I came to learn more about her motivations, I couldn't help but sympathize with her. As I got to see her relationship unfold with new characters Yara and Lev, I saw her genuinely caring for them, and I started to want a happy ending for her.

    I know that a lot of folks are upset that Joel died. What did you expect? He did terrible things in TLOU1. He lives in a brutal world in which people die unexpectedly all the time. His death is MEANT to be shocking and upsetting. That love that you feel towards him, sadness at his death, the anger at this new muscley Abby character is the perfect impetus for Ellie's revenge story. And the fact that he was killed by the daughter of the surgeon he murdered in cold blood at the end of the previous game felt, to me, both unexpected and inevitable. His past misdeeds were always going to catch up with him.

    The flashbacks peppered throughout the game add layers to Ellie, Joel, and Abby's characters and flesh out their motivations. The astronaut sequence in particular felt like a beautiful send-off for Joel and left me with a lump in my throat. These flashbacks provide the narrative some room to breathe in between its major chapters.

    And you will need room to breathe, because good lord this gameplay is INTENSE. Each encounter is a puzzle in which the player has to figure out how to get past all the enemies in front of them with exactly the inventory that you already have. You’re subjected to edge-of-your-seat, white-knuckle gameplay that alternately had me yelping with horror and grinning with sadistic pleasure when I executed an enemy. Moments later, I would feel guilt in my complicity with Ellie's acts of heinous violence as I heard the shrieks of dying enemies.

    It’s a bummer that the enemy AI is kind of dumb on the default difficulty setting because that hinders the game’s ability to shine as a stealth experience. I would definitely recommend playing on Hard difficulty to help the stealth elements of this game truly come to life.

    This game bleeds polish from every pore. The visuals are nothing short of astonishing, and Seattle is beautifully designed and realized. NaughtyDog cleverly placed significant story events within iconic buildings in real-life Seattle (the Seattle aquarium, the Ferris wheel) which lends a wonderful sense of geography to the narrative. I currently live in Seattle. It was uncanny to walk through a post-apocalyptic version of my city.

    The ending is sad, uncomfortable, bleak. As I reflected on that final conversation between Ellie and Joel, that line from The Dark Knight kept coming to mind: “You either die a hero, or you live long enough to see yourself become a villain.” This journey made me feel strong emotions for these characters. At the end of the day, I think that's exactly what good art is supposed to do: make me feel, not necessarily make me feel good. NaughtyDog made bold and risky choices here. Frankly that's something that I wish more developers would do.    … Expand

    Despite this, I think that the broad stroke of a revenge story on the surface being transformed into a story about forgiveness and how our two main characters change over time was executed fairly well. This game has so much intertwining of plot threads that you probably will need to play this a second time to really appreciate what all is happening between the time you play as Ellie in Seattle to when you eventually play as Abby.

    This story isn't nearly as linear and focused as the original, but I found myself unable to guess what happens next while playing. Ultimately, this resulted in a gripping story that I thoroughly enjoyed for the most part, and would recommend playing.    … Expand

    The story was a little choppy and forced but the gameplay was very solid and fluid. It’s the most beautiful game form this generation when it comes to graphics. Just because people don’t agree with the story doesn’t mean this game deserves a zero, the story is just a fraction of a game.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This game was a worthy sequel to the first game. The world is gritty, the characters are broken and flawed (not in a bad way, but in a realistic way).

    One of my favorite scenes in a movie was in Austin Powers when you see a sidecut of a family guy getting ready for work in the morning kissing his wife laughing with his kid, going to work at the station as a security guard, only to be steam rolled by Austin Powers on the slowest steam roller in the world from 200 feet away. That was like.. hey even NPC's have a hopes and dreams and lives.

    Well, in this one Abby is introduced early as this brute of a bad guy. But we see more of her story throughout. Her motivations, her dreams or broken dreams. And you realize.. Theres no axis of evil. just anger, and guilt driving many of these characters. In the end i realized that with their cycle of violence and revenge... there really can't be "happy" endings.

    I dropped 1 from my score because to me, it felt the game kind of dragged out some parts. To the point of feeling like padding. And there was one stretch of the game that felt like i was playing with just the light from the flashlight for way too long. i seriously considered lowering the game to easy on some parts to just run through them. Im glad i didnt though. Because the set pieces that followed were awe inspiring.

    The gameplay had a weighty brutalness to it. i gritted my teeth through a lot of some of the violence.... but it just lended to the atmosphere of that new world in the game.

    A lot of these super negative user reviews, seem to try to say a lot, but boil down to the story didn't go the way they wanted so the game is garbage. Don't let that sway you. this game is worth playing.    … Expand

    If you loved the original for its great characters and well-paced story – stay away from this game. However, if you’re aching to sink into the depths of depression, or just want to cut some throats and burn some zombies – Part II will deliver. [Issue#247, p.72]
