    A game is remembered for the fun it makes you feel when you play it like gameplay, landscape design, graphics, mechanics, etc. But a game is also remembered for what it made you feel and what feelings it left you when you FINISHED IT, and The Last of Us ll has both and we have to admit it. It will not have the recognition that the game itself deserves for labor issues and others (which isA game is remembered for the fun it makes you feel when you play it like gameplay, landscape design, graphics, mechanics, etc. But a game is also remembered for what it made you feel and what feelings it left you when you FINISHED IT, and The Last of Us ll has both and we have to admit it. Most of the chapters are really good, the only part that brings this game down is Abby's back story, an 8 hours backstory is unnecessary and could have just been a couple cut scenes. during Abby's part i just wanted to know what happen with Ellie.     Naughtydog ha vuelto a demostrar que sigue un escalón por encima de todos los demás a nivel técnico. El juego se ve muy muy bien, la forma en la que puedes utilizar los objetos y espacios de manera totalmente lógica como creo que ningún juego ha hecho hasta ahora, las animaciones, las físicas de la sangre y sobre todo las expresiones faciales son de otro planeta y todos los personajesNaughtydog ha vuelto a demostrar que sigue un escalón por encima de todos los demás a nivel técnico. El juego se ve muy muy bien, la forma en la que puedes utilizar los objetos y espacios de manera totalmente lógica como creo que ningún juego ha hecho hasta ahora, las animaciones, las físicas de la sangre y sobre todo las expresiones faciales son de otro planeta y todos los personajes nuevos están muy bien escritos. El nuevo sistema de combate más ágil y los nuevos tipos de enemigos hacen que la acción sea más dinámica y tengas que buscar nuevas maneras de enfrentar la situación. Es un juego muy valiente, trata muchos de los temas sociales polémicos de hoy en día y lo hace sin ningún tipo de sutileza. Es un juego cruel, crudo, explícito, con una atmósfera que te atrapa mejor que lo hacía su primera parte y hace que te vayas bastante tocado a la cama. Subjetivamente te podrán gustar más o te podrán gustar menos ciertos acontecimientos de la historia, pero precisamente es un juego que busca incomodar (tanto por tus acciones en el gameplay como en las cinemáticas) y vaya si lo consigue. Por supuesto eso es algo que no gusta a todo el mundo y me parece bastante entendible, al igual que hay películas que son incómodas de ver y no todo el mundo es capaz. No es un juego fan service y eso es algo bastante atrevido. Personalmente no acabo de encontrarle el sentido al final del juego y tiene un bajón de ritmo muy bestia en cierto momento que puede cortarte el rollo hasta que vuelve a subir un poco. Sin embargo sigue siendo una maravilla de juego que se atreve a hacer que el jugador sienta cosas que ningún otro juego se ha atrevido a hacer (por lo menos a este nivel). Un juegazo que nadie que tenga una ps4 se puede perder.… Expand

    Это одна из лучших игр в которую я играл.
    На прохождении у меня вышло около 40 часов, проходил я не спешно смаковал каждый момент. У этой игры очень огромная концентрация контента, все время что то происходит то сюжетные перепалки, то в игровом моменте происходит просто дичь (в хорошем смысле), какие то перестрелки, где надо изворачиваться, стрелять, уворачиваться, бежать, прятаться. В    Это одна из лучших игр в которую я играл.

Мое отношение к ЛГБТ такое "есть ну и ладно хрен с ними что так у них, негатива нет, поддержки нет" , но когда тебя насильно этим кормят, ты думаешь " сука зачем, я же к этому нормально отношусь, а сейчас вы меня заставляете на это смотреть навязываю свое мнение" и все это произошло чуть дальше середины, и только этот один единственный момент, который мне не понравился, и этот момент подорвал меня знатно. В целом игра тянет на 10 баллов, но я поставлю 9, не надо тыкать носом в лгбт.    … Expand

    I don’t understand the user reviews in this site. The Last of Us II is one of the best games ever. It has and impressive gameplay and a powerful story. Playing it is a great pleasure that It’s not usually enjoyed.

You might not find it great by the first half because of story related things, but by the end, your perspective of the whole game will have changed and you will make sense of the game as a whole, including the first half. Perhaps unlike their previous games this one is mired with ballsy decisions to its storytelling element, that while divisive, also demonstrates their aptitude to taking a risk and for that I applaud them. Story wise, you'll see shocking things happen to mire any well told novel or film, but in an age where video games have lacked a source of complex and ultimately frightful storytelling it will either stay with you long after you finish the lengthy campaign or leave you with a disdain for the franchise. Either way you look at it, it's quite telling of the path the writers have taken to differentiate their product from the rest and personally it's a home run. In terms of presentation, The Last of Us 2 is a monster. The graphics are by far the best I've witnessed on any platform, even if the PC is my personal choice. Character animations, level detail, facial expressions - it's the combination of outstanding technical direction and art style. The voice acting is absolutely top-notch and the music in certain scenes heartbreaking. Presentation wise, The Last of Us 2 is a perfect product. Gameplay remains largely the same as the first, with some nice improvements to add variety to the game like the ability to jump and swim. They're not groundbreaking by any means and sticks a bit to closely to the formula, but it feels enjoyable thanks to the many great action set pieces. I would have loved to see the gameplay evolve a lot more, but what's here is still great.

    Overall: The Last of Us 2 features fantastic gameplay moments that alongside its presentation will mesmerize you to its world. Its story will be a hit or miss for many as it takes some realistic approaches that in the real world make sense, but in a market where the majority may not be used to gripping story-telling similar to other forms of media, it will rub a lot of people the wrong way.     Gameplay is nice and a “normal” progression from the previous one, but nothing to hype about compared to other recent AAA games. The upgrades/perks does add some nice customization of the characters, albeit many of them are useless.

    Story and character developments. Love it. And this is where it seems many are struggling with. TLOU is a dark deadly post-apocalyptic environment where being good/bad or making sense are all nuanced to just survive. Not liking a story because your favorite character gets the axe is as childish as kids crying down on the floor until they get what they want. The story flaws well, focuses on the real unjust world of surviving, and builds well to portray the antagonist circumstances, stripping down humans to the instincts of surviving.

    Bottom Line: it might not be the greatest game ever for you as this is highly personal, but this game is for sure an enjoyable and enriching gaming experience. Tilt on Hard or survivor difficulties opens up a very different gameplay. Ignore the 0/10 kids.    … Expand

But the more I did the more I found out about the story, and the more I cared about the characters. I swear a bunch of underdeveloped prepubescent teens play this, and are immune to feelings. We got to see a whole other side of the story. Abby’s father straight up got murderer, so of course she wants revenge. Having to fight Ellie was insanely difficult as a player. And don’t get me started on the fear and intense moments of the game. I loved this game far more than Part 1. And the flashbacks do so much justice for the relationship of Ellie and Joel. A word to the wise, stop letting children play Rated M games. Or just keep them away from leaving ratings. Good job on the score metacritic.… Expand

    A must play for people who wants to feel

    Abby should die, i hate her with all my heart and i wanted Ellie to drown her and leave Lev to die alone so that the cycel of vengece would end.

    It also succed that she lost her fingers and that tommy’s life went to **** but i could understand what the game was “saying” and i accepted it.

    Please make a sequal because this game broke me and i need closure.

    Ellie probably had the capability to let Abby go because of the time skip but i Saw her killing Joel 2 days earlier.

    I do beleive that Ellie should have killed Abby but that would take away from the HARD PRESSED message the game was going for. It would however have brought me closure even when i Can see and aknowledge that they were both doing something that we should try to avoid.    … Expand

    This game introduced 3 new groups trying to strive, and all 3 are willing to go on the gruesome path to secure their survival. People don't die heroes in this world, people are seeking revenge for even the smallest things, people are trying to protect what they love the most. It's the most human representation of what would happen if an actual apocalypse took over. The focus here is not a cure, it's the relations and acts characters have to go through to secure their survival.
    The characters have some dumb decisions sometimes, but in the end, this game is trying to make you see the two sides of the coin: Ellie and Abby. You get to play as both of them, and it's awesome to see all perspectives. The plot keep moving at a slow pace, and there's a chapter who could be completely deleted because it felt dragged, but in the final showdown, it has a clear message. This game is about consequences. It's not epic, it's not pretty, it's not happy. It's tangible and human. Still, I did miss some strong supporting characters like in the first one. We don't get an Henry or a Bill here, and the new characters are likable at best. Not good, not bad either, I didn't just developed a strong connection with them, but they serve and move the story just fine. Hence my 9. Great experience, dont fall on the hate wagon, people are losing it because one narrative choice that had to happen sooner or later. This is a story about consequences, and it comes to all our beloved characters. People in this world don't get to escape their actions.    … Expand

    Amazing game, looks great, plays great, sound great. I really like the story and characters, I was invested in both, Ellie and Abby and didnt want any of them to suffer. I like the way that the world is not black and white and every group is the "good one" in their eyes.

    Absolutely cringe worthy the negative circle jerk that is happening around this game.

    I think this game absolutely closes this gen with perfection. I was left wondering how they managed to pull tgistoff on the ps4. It completely blows most of the latest releases on all platforms out of the water. The story.. The graphics.. The animation.. The gameplay.. This game is a must play.

    There are plenty of people who have legit concerns about this game but the people rating below like a 6 or 7 are being reactionary.

    The story is controversial but literally everything else is top notch. If you're on the fence, I say give it a shot. Even if you end up not liking it. You will probably not regret knowing for sure.

Ellie - from tlou - who should’ve been killed by a doctor to create a vaccine to a parasite fungus that is devastating the world transforming people in monsters, but saved by a smuggler named Joel. The other is Abby, daughter of the doctor in charge to kill Ellie to create the vaccine. the game creates a parallel where Ellie has her emotional “shield”, and is no able of empathy even towards the people she thinks she loves. Her antagonist has a physical “shield” developing the muscles of her body to a man likes. during your play through the story will oppose one girl to an other - putting the player in the shoes of both - in the pursuit of the ravage. At the end Ellie will be emotionally devastated and her antagonist physically consumed, both victims of blind hate.

    A historia é incrível, diria eu quase perfeita, se não fosse pela parte do meio, que na minha opinião é um pouco longa e enrolada demais, fora isso não tenho nada para reclamar, o gráficos são incrível, as animações são impecáveis e a jogabilidade é muito boa de se jogar.     I also really don't understand the hate that the mid game character switch caused alot of people. I for one was so glad they explored Abby so much. Showing visually and horrifically the realization that everyone lives in their own vacuum of experiences and view them through their own lens and vengeance while powerful, ultimately causes nothing but a cyclical pain. Brilliant work. And Im not even mentioning how incredibly well done the stealth and combat was or the expert sound design work.

    Great work and the divisiveness was welcome. I'll take a narrative that challenges my emotions over an "epic" revenge plot any day.    … Expand

    Last of Us Part II is definitely a Masterpiece as it pushes the boundary of game animations & world design. The gameplay is similar to the first game but improved, so if you liked the gameplay of the first game then you will like the gameplay. Another huge improvement is in the world design, even though a linear game it never feels like it as you can take different routes to reach your destination. You can follow an optional path & find extra goodies as a prize for your exploration. This game rewards greatly for anyone who takes the time to explore the world and the world created by Naught Dog is absolutely outstanding. Most times I would just stand & stare at the details & beauty of this world. The only negative I have is with the story, I understand what they were trying to do but unfortunately the execution was badly delivered. Also the pacing could have been better. I have put into over 40+ hours into this game with finally getting the Platinum trophy. If you can go with an open mind & see for how everything else in this game is absolutely stunning then you should definitely get this game as a PS4 owner. I really enjoyed my play through with this game, it was something very different & made me think more than what a game should make me!    … Expand

    But the story is far from the feeling part 1 gave.

    The longer you come into the game the more you grow sick of it. It almost feel pointless after a while. And the ending doesn't make it feel less pointless. The worst thing about all of this is how in the end for me atleast the game successfully destroyed the love for Ellie. She feels more like a monster than ever. But the fact that Abby isn't killed after all helps to not see Ellie as an 100% monster.

    It would feel more okay if the horrible actions of Ellie feelt justified in some way. But the longer you proceed it feels less and less justified. But mayby that's the point. Mayby Abby is the one that should have good reasons here not Ellie.

    But its not a bad story it's is smartly done and have taught behind it. It's just a depressing game.    … Expand

Like others I do have criticisms but this game was an amazing experience that I recommend for any PS4 owner who can handle some heavy themes and violence, it's rare that games will sit with me for days after I've finished it and make me think about alot of things but this one certainly did, this game will definitely captivate you & draw you into the world but the violence and themes will pretty much put you in constant feelings of despair and I mean that as a compliment because I would have hated this even more if it wasn't that type of experience due to the subject matter, there are some lighter moments in there and some Joel/Ellie time to mellow out the player and I enjoyed Dani/Ellie's interactions for the most part so I assure you it's not all doom and gloom, the game has a variety of emotions that it will put through like most other games wont, the way this game captivated me and drew me into the story definitely overcomes some of the critiques I have on certain parts of the game.

    There are a lot of nonsense reviews on here so I'll go into the fake criticisms and some of the legitimate one's.

    In terms of the nonsense one's, I'd say a good 90% of the 1 and 0 rates are made up of the below group of people, just ignore these reviews, 1 and 0's should be dedicated to the very worst of games, even if you don't like story of this, the way the game plays, looks and sounds is well above your usual terrible game.

    In terms of the 3 nonsense types of reviews:

    . People that believe the game is making a political message by having LGBT characters, just because these people don't exist in your bubble doesn't mean they don't exist at all and that it wouldn't be plausible to have these types of characters in this world, how this is taken as a political message is absolute trash just like you people are as human beings for having an issue with it, these people have not played the game and ironically are making a political statement themselves by hate rating it down for the reason's I've mentioned above.

    .People that have just read the leaked spoilers and are just annoyed the story isn't going the way they want it to, again they haven't played the game so the rating is nonsense.

    .XBOX and switch players targeting popular PS4 only games, these people do exist, again haven't not played the game so the 1's and 0's should be ignored.

    Onto the legitimate criticisms, some of which I agree with:

    The way ABBY was incorporated the game is definitely something I agree is mishandled, I understood Abby and her reasons for going after Joel are understandable but just because I can understand it, it doesn't mean she is a likable character and I'm not sure why they thought anyone would want to play as here for multiple hours especially considering when we jumped to Abby was at a completely key part of the game that had been built up for half the game and it kind of felt like this was something I had to get through to get back to where I wanted to go and video games shouldn't feel like chores, I had no issue seeing the other perspective because I felt it was key in what this game was trying to get across but I felt you could of just done the Abby play though in 45 minutes to an hour tops.

    Joel's death, I would agree it was slightly to early but I don't have an issue with them doing it, to tell this revenge story it had to be Joel, it wouldn't have worked with anyone else, in terms of how they did it, it was a little bit of a stretch to buy two pro's in Tommy and Joel easily trusting a brand new group and it was probably a bit to early in the story but it was something I could look past considering some of the quality of the rest of the game.

    In terms of what I loved about this game, the graphics are absolutely incredible and i'm not sure I think of a game that wowed me this much in that regard, I loved the original but I did have a few criticisms on the combat and AI system in that game but I felt they definitely improved it here and it plays/looks really nice, the expressions of the character/facial animation are fantastic and express what the characters are feeling really well.

    I think Ellies part of the story is great and was completely captivated by the ride she took the player on, in terms of Abby's side I did enjoy the Scar island part, mainly because of some of the great visuals and fight scenes when all hell breaks loose.

    Some of the little things like the sound design of some of the violence was a great touch, the stealth kills felt more personal when you had other enemies yelling out their names reminding you that your not just killing robots but actual people who have loved one's, the way some of the more gruesome scenes were done really well and did a great job of making the player uncomfortable, little things like this game me more engrossed in a story.    … Expand

I literally counted the days until it came out, and when it came out, I immediately went to buy it. What can be distinguished from the advantages: excellent graphics, animation, plot, combat system, duration of the game. What can be distinguished from disadvantages: lies about the plot. From the trailers, it was assumed that Dina would be killed and Ellie would avenge her, and Joel would keep us company for the entire game, but it's exactly the opposite, Yes, Joel is, of course, but he's mostly in the memories. And the gameplay for the second character-Abby is given more time than necessary. Of course, I liked this character, but I expected that most of the time we will play for Ellie, and in the end 50-50. And so the game is very good, shows people from different sides and the main message is that revenge will not lead to anything good, and violence will always go violence.… Expand

    Awesome game, next-gen in a nutshell.
    I felt in love with this game, these extra little details, mechanics, gameplay. How you feel wepons, its physics. Of course, it's not a brilliant TLOU 1, but its no worse.

With story my two biggest complaints are a few cheap tricks (that only undermine the story) and the placement of chapters (what I mean is that first you play half of the game as Ellie and then suddenly the rest is almost only Abby) which makes you forget about others characters for a bit. I think it would have been much better if they played chapter chronologically. To be honest through most of the game I though about giving it an 8/10, but for me ending is so good and powerful that it elevates it easily. Also it's important to mention that you'll enjoy this game much more if you experience it not as Ellie, but rather as a person who knows (and loves) Ellie and is just an observer watching her fall into grief.… Expand

    It is after 10 hours of playing and I am delighted. great story, beautiful graphics, detailed locations ... it's really hard to fault anything,I don't know where these bad ratings came from, I thought our player society was more elegant but I was wrong.

Una pasada neserio vean el lado bueno no hay protagonistas todos son personas en un mundo dificil que hacen actos que tienen consecuencias y esta muy jien contado.

    Duracion se llega a hacer largo pero por el modo en que lo cuentan te dejan intrigado y quieres avanzar rapido para ver que pasa y se te hace largo.

    No le doy 10 porque me decepciono que no saliera con el murtijugador por las escusas que quieran poner el uno fue un juegazo y lo trajo de salida... El modo multijugador del primero me encantó, espero este ala altura y mejore. Pero no cambien el modo de juego. Coger recursos y con cuidado matar al equipo rival.    … Expand

Same kind of reviews as for The Last Jedi. “They ruined Luke/Joel!” “It’s full of SJW garbage!” “Plot holes! Plot holes! PLOT HOLES!” on and on with oftentimes such limited explanation of the plot holes. I recently played both games for the first time and found this one to be about as good a sequel as I could’ve hoped for. The controls are slightly refreshed and made for a bit better of an experience, the visuals are gorgeous, with only a handful of bugs, and the dialogue is pretty well written. When it comes to the story, I found it ambitious and very admirable that we were given the chance to play as Abby, showing somebody who has lost everything and how they got there. I loved the idea of parallel stories with 3 Seattle days each, and I personally found the emotional connection to Abby come a lot easier than it should have. It’s a very, very dark and despondent experience, but as with the giraffes in the first game, there are the smallest glimmers of light. I can claim a few flawed character choices and a (personally) questionable, somewhat gratuitous but ultimately sadly satisfying fourth (?) act by taking a point off, but apart from that, I thought it was a very dynamic and emotionally heavy story that really deserved being told. I would suggest keeping an open mind when playing the game for the first time, and trying your best to give consideration to the environments you happen to find yourself in. It makes playing the game a lot more worthwhile. If you’re “anti-PC” or any variation on that, just don’t play it. Your hatred of the identities and behavior of certain characters will bleed into your opinion of the game. It’s abundantly clear to me that this community is far from ready to embrace certain things seen as “unfamiliar” to it. There is ONE trans female->male character, Abby seems by all accounts to be cisgendered, and there is a lesbian couple. These details play somewhat strong parts in the story, so maybe avoid it if you wouldn’t like to see it. I cannot speak on whether the representation was executed well enough, but it hardly bothered a heterosexual cisgendered white male. Stop review bombing on both sides and, like I said, just try to keep an open mind.… Expand

    Did I hate the game for the direction it went? Yes.
    Was it very dark and heavy for me? Yes.
    Did I enjoy the game? Absolutely.
    You have to be emotionally and mentally mature to appreciate this game. To recognize how Ellie’s journey on revenge brought nothing for her but loneliness. I’m happy she was able to move on when she did not take Joel’s guitar.

A lot of people are showing hate to this game simply because they feel way too attached to characters from the first game. Especially considering that the game is set in a post apocalyptic world where people die at any moment in the most unexpected ways. It’s because of these angering yet realistic and haunting moments that make this game beautiful. People who couldn’t see this are stuck in fairy tales where main characters dance around a lilyfield. I thought naughty dog captured this dark, realistic post apocalyptic setting brilliantly. The new characters introduce a new dynamic to the game which tells stories of how morals have been changed amongst the new generation depicted by the “scars” (especially lev as we hear him question human behaviours which we deem normal which he either doesn’t believe, know or understand). Even I was slightly discouraged by the change in characters after playing Ellie, but the character development was done well enough that I was eventually absorbed by abbys story and forgot the emotions that Ellie’s side presented throughout her play through.… Expand

    As a person who has played The Last of Us (1) 7 times and generally avoids any sort of spoilers,I just gotta say that this game gave me a blast. I enjoyed every single hour of it. It really soaks me into the world of the Last of Us,which I really love once more.
    Just play it by yourself and dont get stuck in thish hate.
