    Visually impressive, The Last of Us: Part II is a unique, dark, violent and brutal experience that makes us question what separates man from the animal. A masterpiece that Naughty Dog delivers to us at the end of the generation and that we, the players, can only be grateful for.

    I really like the game and this is one of the best games on PS4 and a must have in your collection.

I found both Ellie and Abby to be wonderfully well written characters, two sides of the same coin..I absolutely dispised Abby to begin with but by the ending i needed her to survive. The supporting characters Dina and Lev were wonderful, fully fitting in with their companions with ease. And making you root for them to be the positive influence that both Ellie and Abby needed.
    The accessibility settings blew me away, I'm fortunate that I can play without them but the fact that they are so intensive means this game is truly accessible to nearly ALL gamers. Cant wait to jump back in and start it all over again... once I've recovered from the emotional rollercoaster that this game delivers.    … Expand

    So dissatisfied, it's not at all as advertised
    It's actually made me feel sad and frustrated, I feel like this was self indulgence and a **** thing to do. It's like the star wars prequel I'm poor and I wish I never bought it. Just play the first one it's flawless.

    I'm shocked how a studio can make such a great first game and then create such abomination as second part. The ONLY good quality of this "thing" are the graphics .

    The story is bad, like... SUPERBAD ! I have no idea who thought "this is a good story" when they wrote it , but they should never , ever , write a story again ! The ending was disgusting , it made no sense whatsoever. Most    I'm shocked how a studio can make such a great first game and then create such abomination as second part. The ONLY good quality of this "thing" are the graphics .

    The story is bad, like... SUPERBAD ! I have no idea who thought "this is a good story" when they wrote it , but they should never , ever , write a story again ! The ending was disgusting , it made no sense whatsoever. Most of the "scenes" were cringe or pointless or boring.

    Three hours into the game and I wonder, " Why do I keep on playing this game ?" The reality - nostalgia . So, to summ it all up :

    A) Bad story

    B) Unlikeable main character - Not because she is a female or gay , but because she was written poorly . Her choices make no sense and she feels " blank " .

    C ) Killing the only good written character , just so you can shuv another one in our faces. ( which was not even a good one... )

    I wanted this game to be good , I really did , but the reality is simple : 1/10 .

Este juego es increible, buenos graficos, banda sonora, historia muy buena tambien, nose si tan buena como tlou 1, pero sin lugar a duda es una obra maestra también. No entiendo a esa gente que se la pasa criticando al juego por la muerte de joel, ya que es un mundo apocaliptico y tuvimos suerte q dure hasta la 2da entrega, naugthy dog quiere demostrar lo duro que seria un mundo apocaliptico como el que trata el juego y lo cruel q seria vivir en un mundo asi, intenta interpretar la realidad, ya desde tlou 1 pasaba esto solo que ahora le toca a joel. una verguenza q le pongan un 0 únicamente por que no les gustaron algunas cosas de la historia; el juego no es solo historia (aunque se q tlou sobresale por este punto) sino también muisca, gráficos y los escenarios están muy bien logrados, mas lastima me da que esos q le ponen un 0 luego van y puntúan con un 7,8,9,10 juegos q no le llegan ni a los talones a este... pero bueno supongo q eso es lo que tiene cuando sacas un juego q es una obra maestra, después te exigen el doble.… Expand

    PROS:
    Game looks phenomenal
    Game play is smooth
    Audio and music is on point
    Moments of real feeling and relating to the character

    CONS:
    Story line...... wtf & why
    Character model (abby) not consistent and unrealistic
    Too much push on LGBTQ
    Poor choice of over all message during sensitive pandemic

    So let me explain my 6 rating.. It would have been much much higher... There were just certain aspects that made me almost quit... Aside from the obvious, in your face LGBTQ, which became almost comical, it was Abbys character model that was so ridiculous and unsightly. It was never consistent. He beefy muscles fluctuated in size from scene to scene. Maybe not so damning if you werent forces to play her so long.....

    Then there was the story... Dear lord.. the story.. The first ends on a note of love and going to extremes for those you love.... But this one.... hate, revenge, loss, grief.. It tore down Ellie and Joels character to the point I didnt even like Ellie at the end...

    For me.... This was just a heinous act at such a sensitive time. We are all suffering a pandemic. We have been locked inside. Little to look forward to in 2020. For some... waiting YEARS for this game, saw a glimmer of hope in the release of this game..... I would not be surprised if this game threw some into a deeper depression. Reckless and there was no need to degrade our beloved characters to the point they did....    … Expand

    I can’t see how this game is filled up with bad reviews, I bet 10 but in fact the game is at 7/10. Game play is great for me, graphics is amazing, the game pays attention to details. Plot is at 5/10 and it kill the game.

    I don't remember being as emotionally exhausted by any other game ever and I liked it. A story this ballsy can't obviously be for everyone but that's what makes this game so special. In my personal opinion TLOU2 is the bravest sequel since MGS2 and I would like to see more games like this. I was furious about it. However after finishing the game, I accepted it. Accept that anything can happen to even someone that's strong. Some billionaires even fall and lives on the streets now. So why can't a video game character like Joel make mistakes?? Even if people are furious about the fact that he died too early. The character development for everyone else were amazing. The ending was another level of amaziness. Even though the game has some minor set backs., But it's still hands down one of the best games in gaming history. Naughty dog has done it again.     Just AMAZING. The game is great at every point possible. Graphics, gameplay, story. It's not a game for everyone, you must play it open-minded and know that's a game about people and humans behavior. I like it very much, one of the best games of my life so far.

    Game of the generation. Excellent storytelling, graphics, and atmosphere. A revenge story with a meaningful message for our current world. You need to have an open mind, because it isn't a story you wanted after the first game, but it's a story the writers wanted to tell, and they were damn right.

    I really loved this masterpiece. Everyone is talking **** about it just because the story isn’t what they wanted to be. The characters evolution, the massive places that you visit in game, the gameplay and even the conversations that the enemies have with each other are examples of the exemplary work that NaughtyDog have done with it.     I read the spoilers and like many others I was pretty pissed by what I found out. Ultimately I decided to give the game a chance to change my mind. Fortunately it did after I force myself to push through and play as Abby even though I didn’t want to. TLOU has already demonstrated us the studio's ability to throw curve balls and poke the Amygdala but part 2 proves that they can also put you on your wit’s end by forcing you to make impossible decisions and then leaving you perplexed making you questionAll the hate and negative reviews are just a testimony as to how brilliant the first game was and how beloved Joel and Ellie were. TLOU has already demonstrated us the studio's ability to throw curve balls and poke the Amygdala but part 2 proves that they can also put you on your wit’s end by forcing you to make impossible decisions and then leaving you perplexed making you question yourself if it was morally correct. I sincerely believe naughty dog really outdid themselves and the whole industry with this part by crafting something that captures the true marrow of what we as humans are and can be. I think that the developers have transcended the idea of what a game should be and can be. They have democratized the characters and made them more humane, susceptible to everything a real-life person is. As for the characters, they are as real and raw now as they can be. Instead of the usual hero- villain roles the boundaries are blurred and marred with some much blood and gore that the roles become interchangeable and almost indistinguishable. The inspiration from GTA5 and Until Dawn is evident but the stories intertwingling with such complexity that both Abbey and Ellie become the opposite sides of the same coin.
    I believe it is the kind of game that cannot be enjoyed with a preoccupied mind and a personal bias, with the expectations of a positive, cheerful and uplifting story like the last game. TLOU was the story of Joel exploring the themes of love, compassion and hope when everything around was miserable and bleak, TLOU2 is the opposite, Ellie exploring the feelings of revenge, hatred and above else guilt, even when everything around is in order, when everyone around is as loving as they can be. It is about coming to terms with everything that they had either done or witnessed. Above all it is a mature coming of age story in a post-apocalyptic world. It is the kind of game that will act as a milestone for all future games in terms of emotional depth and driving themes. It is the epitome of how deep into the void video games can descend. I feel betrayed not by the game but by the so-called loyal fans of the series. Life is not always fair and not everyone gets what they desire or deserve. The decision to depict that distress must have been hard for the studio itself but they did it anyways because they felt that it was the right thing to do and that is something not many people out there are prepared to make.
    I sincerely believe most of the criticism is just unjust and is there because the game was spoiled for much of the fanbase. As for the complaints regarding all the agenda pushing, I believe it’s all a matter of double standards, on one side people laude unreleased games like Cyberpunk for its inclusivity but they harshly criticize TLOU2 for the same. And it was not as if it was done in a Rowling way, everyone who had played Left Behind already knew what was in store.
    Making a generic storyline, with a happily lived ever after ending would have been more commercially successful and would have been in straighter alignment with the wider expectations. We all know it would have been a great commercial success and would have easily found its way into many of the year’s top games lists, but that would have been a commercial victory not an artistic one. I sincerely thank God that naughty dog decided otherwise. True artists please themselves not others and TLOU2 is artistic vision realized impeccably.    … Expand

    I want to make this as fair of a review as I can.

    Graphics 8/10 - Most people say how amazing this game looks. Had this game come out in 2018 I would agree but with games like Doom Eternal coming out this year the graphics of this game now seems dated in comparison, it still looks great (forest areas most notably) but not amazing. The face motion capture also looks uncanny valley more    I want to make this as fair of a review as I can.

    Graphics 8/10 - Most people say how amazing this game looks. Had this game come out in 2018 I would agree but with games like Doom Eternal coming out this year the graphics of this game now seems dated in comparison, it still looks great (forest areas most notably) but not amazing. The face motion capture also looks uncanny valley more often than not.

    Sound 9/10 - Voice acting, music and sound effects really sell the feel of the world and are as good as one could want.

    Game play 2/10 - Game play is a real let down, it doesn`t build on the first game and if any thing subtracts from it. With unlimited uses of your knife it really is a sneak around grab and stab game which is super repetitive, yes you could play it other ways but this ends up being the most effective way. They really needed to have a level of resource management, limited the number of times you can use the knife, or reward the player of using different tactics for an encounter.

    Story 1/10 - With out listing any spoilers the choice made at the 2~ hour mark was terrible and really killed the mood of the game from that point on. it also feels like a story was written early on and the game built on that then changed very late in development as it starts to be very disjointed even the later level designs suggest this. The ending also didn`t sit well for me as its not the actions, I feel the character would have made.

    Overall this game is a 5/10 (Average) It feels like a game that had a lot of shortcuts taken game play wise with the hope the graphics would make up for and a story that feels disjointed and character traits that don't connect well to the first game.    … Expand

    Absolutely fantastic game people are just upset it didn’t go the way they wanted to but it makes perfect sense why they did what they did for the story. Hate how people just jump on the bandwagon for memes. No matter how good or bad this game really was it wouldn’t matter. People would just give it bad reviews anyway

It seems like all the big gaming magazines and companies gave it a great review and it makes me wonder if we even played the same game.

    One of my main complaints is that the first game had so much character development and this one had none. Most of what happened in this game was a flashback and it jumped around so much you have to really pay attention. It also seems like they try to force you to like a character in the game and it just doesn't work.

    Google and Amazon seem to be blocking reviews. It was a bad game, let the gamers review it. I bought the game and have completed it and my reviews are still being taken down or blocked.

    To summarize, I would ignore Part 2 and just enjoy the first game. I thought I wanted Part 2 but after seeing what they created, for the first time in my life, I wish it didn't exist. If there is one thing I wish I could forget, it is this game. This game was so terrible I do not recognize this as an actual sequel to the masterpiece that was the original.     The seriously lazy writing and prevalent plot holes in this game are beyond a joke! This is nothing but an interactive movie that forces every decision for the player down a rabbit hole. The numerous glitches and clunky gameplay show that the developers never cared about making a good game, they wanted their vision of a movie prequel to the tv series and that's all this piece of garbage game was.

WTH we wait more than half a decade for you to just give us a story where our beloved anti-hero protagonist gets such a crappy send-off? Make the game so political to the point that it made you question if you guys were just trying to score points with a group of people, instead of delivering a neutral enjoyable experience for everyone. I was so livid having to start again as Abby. And overall it was just so **** harrowing and sad. I snot-cried at the end. But I FELT that emotion so many times throughout. Tension, excitement, glee, happiness, sadness, frustration, fear, sweetness. I went through all those emotions and more. I couldn’t wait to see what was next. And I loved the risks in storytelling. I loved the women protagonists kicking ass. I loved the Scars whistling. I loved the lush environment. I loved the gameplay and stealth (OMG did I love the stealth mechanics). Would have been fun to film myself for my gleeful reactions to vicious sneaky stealth kills and then right after I’m upset that I had to smash Nora and audibly yelling “STOP ELLIE I don’t want to do this” at the final fight with Abby. Clearly, this game worked and it really got to me. It’s a masterpiece.

    Incredible piece of media. One that will outlast all this wild vitriol some of the Internet is tossing at it. The two games together are some of the best media i have ever engaged with. Thanks Naughty Dog!!!    … Expand

While a solid game in terms of change from the first, the introduction of a new character into the mix was not expected nor in my opinion necessary. When we first meet Abby in the beginning of the game, we are immediately informed why she’s in Jackson. It’s to kill Joel. As a fan of the first game, I was not ok with this but I understood why someone would seek revenge for the murder of a loved one. Abby succeeds in her mission and this is my first complaint with the game. The way Joel was killed did not vibe with me very well. Him telling Abbys group his real name is something he would never do. His death puts Ellie on the war
    path for revenge and makes her almost unlikeable in the way she goes about seeking revenge by murdering a ton of people and dogs along the way made her seem unlikeable. When the game changes to Abby halfway through and tries to make her relatable. In my eyes it fails. What she did to Joel is completely unforgivable. I don’t care what Joel did. Overall, the mechanics were great though because it added new things like going prone and tall grass to hide in and as Ellie an unbreakable shiv in her knife. Which was awesome.     I'm just here to laugh at gamers. I haven't played the game but I've gotten all the entertainment I need out of their ridiculously bad takes.

    How dare they kill off a main character? How dare they have moral ambiguity? How dare woman not make pp hard?

    This game was absolutely amazing. I'm so upset I've finished it. I wanted it to last forever. It really gets down into the nitty gritty of human emotion and traumas in a way I'm not sure I've ever seen. Highly recommend if you enjoyed the first one.
