First, to be fair I love this game, part one It was like a masterpiece in all respects He did something new that I had never seen before I lived with the characters and lived with the terrifying world All enemies are humans or walkers unbelievable For me, it's the best game I've played in my entire life I got excited for the second part right away with the end of the first part I waited for many years to follow the news until the second part was officially announced I was excited to see this story complement ,

    When I played the game in the first chapter, I could not believe what I saw Something amazing is the evolution that happened in the graphics Sounds and directing Reality ,
    I got so excited to move on To discover and see this amazing world And know what happened in the story , I was actually very disappointed I don’t know why the director wants to hate fans of the game ,
    He ended the life of a main character in the game Unacceptably He was killed by someone who saved her life ! Just very easy without any introductions , The director was not satisfied with that
    He tried to make us love a killer character (Abby) He has made her a bad story I played in it more than the main game character (Ellie) I just wanted this to end I've got bored

    He wanted to make (Abby) superhero And struggling With a very weak and very boring story , Rather, a more terrible act than that in one of the chapters made me control a (Abby) To kill a (Ellie) !

    I have reached some point in play I want to know what the end I want to take revenge for (Joel)
    In the end Nothing happened Just each one went his way

    (Ellie) Just forgot (Joel) what he did to her I also thought this was clear when I caught the guitar to play But she could not Because Abby cut her fingers Just put the guitar and the game is over !

    To be fair My rating is (4) Only for design and gameplay Also great soundtrack In general everything was a piece of art

My brother and I were huge fans of the first game, the story and cinematic experience itself was unlike any other game that we had ever played. Never had either of us been so moved by a story before. The game play for the first game is not as smooth or good as part II. That's a given since it's been 7 years since the first game. TLOU Part 2 looks amazing in terms of graphics, game play, and voice acting. Despite that, both of us felt that the second game story wise, fell flat on it's face.

    The execution of Joel's death that happens and is in the beginning 2 hours of the game, to unwise and uncharacteristic decisions of Tommy and Joel, not balancing the game with lighter tones and jokes (like the first game), forcing you to play the game in a way where you wish you could make a different decision, makes it impossible to truly enjoy this game.

    After Joel gets killed, it's super difficult to even continue playing this game, since he's gone and you end up playing as Abby. In one word, I would describe this game as depression. It's hard to empathize with a character (Abby), who you know nothing about and you don't have an entire game to make a connection with her, unlike in the first game with Joel and Ellie.

    I think if the execution of the story was slightly altered, it could've been a phenomenal experience, but due to inconsistent writing that doesn't line up with the previous game, it's an utter disappointment.

    Story wise: 3/10.
    Character development: 5/10.

    Horrible story choices, so that's why it stays at a 3, since the first game story wise was a masterpiece.

The ending so anti-climactic borders on ridiculous. Imagine killing a good number of enemies without mercy even a pregnant one just to get to Abby but at the last minute Ellie let's her live. Obviously it looks and sounds amazing and the acting is second to none. While the game play isn't fantastic I think it serves it's purpose just fine. Hell, there are even some elements of the story I liked but man, for the most part the story is a complete mess. This game introduced a ton of new characters, only 2 or 3 of them get any development or significant screen time and I'm expected to feel bad for killing them on more than a basic human empathy level. I think the biggest problem this game has is it's structure. There are scenes where I thought they were only there cause they didn't know where else to put them. If the game started with the three flashback scenes of Joel and Ellie and also Built up Abby in that time before she kills Joel the story would already be five times better than it already is. This game needed a better writer to fully take advantage of the themes that had been chosen.… Expand

    This game is an absolute masterpiece, kudos to Neil Druckmann and the Naughty Dog crew. Hands down the best, most immersive, emotionally draining, and intense video gaming experiences of my life. I can’t wait to immediately replay it.

    I am a huge fan of tlou. Though I try my best to lower my expectations , I find it hard to say that tlou2 is good RPG game. Everything except for the story is great, I'm especially impressed with the detailed character model and stunning physics effect (best ropes in video game history!).

    But this is a story focused RPG, therefore major flaws in storytelling are simply not tolerable.    I am a huge fan of tlou.     It has one of the best stories ever the only minus point is that you play Abby for so long even though she is the one who killed joel, would have preferred to play Tommy.

    По сравнению с первой частью, эта игра реально шедевр. Эта игра на голову выше первой части, но фанбои не приняли смерть Джоэла, поэтому ставят нули.

    Сценарий и режиссура на высоте, на уровне топовых голливудских фильмов. каждая кат-сцена к месту и проработана до мелочей. Понятно абсолютно всё, не поймёт только слепой или тупой.

    С технической точки зрения тут тоже 10 из 10, никаких вопросов ни к графике ни к звуку нет. Дизайн локаций так же на высоте, куча, просто куча деталей, мелочей.

    По сравнению с первой частью, где Джоэл всю дорогу шёл и убивал пачками каких-то непонятных компьютерных болванчиков, здесь прописано и продуманно всё. Правда, не раскрыли особо Шрамов, но думаю, в ДЛС уделят им внимание. В остальном же проработка персонажей, сторон конфликта и сюжета в целом, повторюсь, на уровне отличных голливудских фильмов.

    Не знаю, что еще сказать. Скажу так, как посылку тем, кто ставит нули: Если вы не поняли посыла автора, то это не значит, что игра плохая. Если вы поняли посыл Автора, но он вам не понравился, то вы не поняли посыл автора.

    Игра крайне гуманна и она про гуманизм и понимание другого человека, через крайнюю жестокость, как художественный приём, Ноти дог говорят нам о милосердии и гуманности. Вот о чём эта игра. Начните уже понимать других людей, хватит делить мир на чёрное и белое. В мире нет плохих и хороших, черных и белых людей, все люди одинаковые.    … Expand

But, this is the story the creative director wants us to experience and I respect that. I disliked playing as a certain character because that character didn’t matter to me. Crime and Punishment isn’t an easy read, but it expands your ability to appreciate literature and makes you a better person for it. If you can’t handle it, there is Marvel. The story is realistic and brutal. It doesn't hold your hand and expects you to understand how revenge works. A major theme in this story is that there are no heroes or villains in the real world.     In relation to other reviews. It's popular to hate on things in this day in age. It's ok to like things. But also, when reviewing a game it is important to look at it objectively. All aspects of this game are near perfect. The only thing that is controversial is the story. On that fact alone anyone giving ridiculously low scores like 0s or 1s obviously acting in bad faith because its fun to follow the hate train. Taking into account the quality of the game and my personal enjoyment of the story I believe the game warrants a 10/10. Regardless of the trolls and bandwagoners, those who are genuine about their dislike/hate for the game's story show that they care in some manner and felt some kind of emotion. Game starts out pretty solid, iffy on Joel dying in the first roughly two hours, but whatever. Then we get to play as Abby... I have never cared about any character or subplots less than her’s. We don’t care about her and Owen. We don’t care about the crammed-in war against the Seraphites. We don’t care about any of that. ND somehow found a way to water down the specialness of their own main character in their own game. The whole “two sides of the same coin” gimmick just feels tacky and subtle as a sledgehammer. Ellie collects trading cards, Abby collects coins. Ellie couldn’t swim, Abby can’t be up high in the air. Mel was pregnant, so was Dina. You can’t make this stuff up, they really thought they were onto something with this. And don’t give me any of that anti lgbt or transphobic stuff, Abby being masculine has nothing to do with my critique or mostly anyone’s. Makes the sex scene a little off-putting (yeah you get a good look at her naked in the game) but it’s not a valid reason to dislike her. Her inclusion, body type and looks aside, is still the main thing that ruins this game. It’s almost as if ND gave us Ellie to focus on and care about and gave us Abby almost like how your mom made you take your younger sibling with you to places as a kid; you’re still having some fun, but man did they REALLY have to come too?

    In conclusion if you’ve read this far- game was good until they shoehorned Abby in there and expected us to like her. Could’ve been a great game but ND dropped the ball.    … Expand

But it was performed in a way that all fans are supposed to feel on purpose and to make this as spoiler-free as possible without giving away too much.The Last Of Us Part 2 was such an amazing game with a uniquely epic storyline that shares it's ups and downs in a good way because not only that the story was filled with happy, sad, shocking, tense, and a variety of other emotional moments. But it was performed in a way that all fans are supposed to feel on purpose and to make this as spoiler-free as possible without giving away too much. Here are my pros and cons of what I think of this game as a whole

    Pros:

    1.) The gameplay is nice, fluid, and immersive to play

    2.) Graphics are nicely detailed and cinematically visual/appealing

    3.) Sound designs are amazing

    4.) The story is epic and unique in a way that you thought you could never feel with such a high variety of emotions

    5.) Acting is phenomenal and highly underrated

    Cons:

    1.) Part of the narratives in the story could've been changed for a better outcome

    2.) Some character developments needed some slight improvements

    Verdict: The Last Of Us Part 2 is a great game and originally I was gonna give this a 10 or 9 but with the story narratives making me feel bittersweet in some ways and thinking of what direction should the franchise go next if a Last Of Us Part 3 were to be made next in the future. Overall I give The Last Of Us Part 2 an 8/10 simply because of the fact that I still had fun playing this game and the experience that I had with the story was really interesting to see. The last thing I want to mention is that for this review on Metacritic I'm gonna put the score as a 10/10 since I want to be generous to show my support for the game and even though my actual rating is still an 8/10 for me but in my opinion, I thought this felt right to do. :)    … Expand

    No me gusto la historia, los graficos esta bien pero ya son todo los juegos asi y mas de consolas, la verdad no te llega como anterior entrega el personaje principal no hace que quieras seguir jugando pero tienes que terminar por que ya lo compraste y vsn salir dlc pero ni loco me los compro se arruina una franwuicis, todo por ser incluyentes y querer ganar dinero con esta moda.

    Great game, the story is rough and that's why so many people didn't like it I guess. The graphics are amazing and the game-play is great. To appreciate the game you need to take a step back and think of the story naughty dogs is giving us. I loved it even if the ending can be frustrating for some people. Not everything goes as planned and not everyone gets happy ending! that's life ;)

The graphics are as expected from naught dog . In matched . But the gameplay loop and story writing are something that feels like 7 years of solid waiting for this game have fallen short and left this game feeling like a side quest to a story that we will never see . The dynamic of what made the first game brilliant is gone . Killing off characters like it’s game of thrones . Putting a revenge story and making you play as a character not wanted by the fans . And no I don’t care about the whole agenda politics. Strong female leads like aloy from horizon zero dawn are unmatched and widely loved by fans . Setting the bar as you would say. But the writing given in last of us part 2 is just so lazy. And we don’t get to experience what made the first game so successful. The developer just used that success to create this absurd narrative like he is creating the wheel. This game is everything we never asked for . How sad that it’s come to this . I think it’s already safe to Say this gam Needs to be remade .

    I rewatched trailers many times while waiting for release...

    But the story and characters are way too bland, which makes playing it really boring.

    No spoilers here. Just wanted to say how disappointed I am in this game. I remember pre ordering the first game then rushing to GameStop to get my copy. Playing that game on my PS3 was definitely one of the best gaming experiences I’ve ever had. After this game I don’t think I’ll be buying another ND game.

    This game is AWESOME in every way. There is nothing I would change except for close combat because Ellie feels a little too weak and dodging is not my style but except that, it is a masterpiece and most people who gave it a low score didn’t play it.

    I've been playing this game since it was first launched. From a technical point of view, it looks great. The AI is very bad. Dina is boring. Ellie is no longer funny or fun. They changed Joel so that they could kill him. As good as the visuals are, as bad the story is. I haven't finished the game yet, as I'm trying to own it on Survival mode - 1st play through.

This is due to the blatant identity politics on show totally ruining the game and destroying everything that made the first game so good. For the first time in nearly 40 years of buying games I genuinely want a refund.
    Feels like i have had 50 quid stolen from me it is that bad.

The point of the game is to make you upset and go through awful things with unlikable characters that are not even mentioned in the trailer.     The first part was one of the best games I've ever played. The game had everything you wanted from a great story game Story, characters, emotions, graphics.
    The last of Us 2 is exactly the opposite of the first part.
    I'll start with the positives, graphics as always from the Naughty Dog studio gorgeous, panoramas of flooded Seattle alternating snowy mountains and villages reminiscent of the Middle Ages, just a feast for the eyes.
    The game is very shocking, both positively and negatively. You get to know the character, you start to like her, and in 4 hours ABBY will pierce her head with her manly hand that even Dwayne Johnson would envy her. Acting performances better than in any million-dollar film and you will know from the facial expressions of the characters what they really think and feel. Also, of course, flshback passages with Joel and Tommy, where I felt like I was playing the first part, and this is how the game was supposed to start, and a slightly improved gameplay. And that's all.
    There are many negatives, we start with the decision of characters who behave as if they had an Alzheimer and did not know where he is, this ability is dominated by Ellie who could live a happy life with Dina and the child, but simply has to for ABBY whom she is not even able to kill everything, and the utterly repulsive effort of the creators to make Ellie a completely unthinking, heartless monster that kills dogs and who knows maybe demonstrates in the evenings.
    I'll move on to the most painful thing, and that's ABBYE, remember that name because after it's over, you'll be haunted in the evenings by a very tasty sex scene that has as much to do with sex as Germany and peace.
    A completely dysfunctional character with whom, after beating Joel with a golf club, it is simply impossible to identify. And I honestly don't even remember her story because it was taken to the extreme, as was the story of the whole game. Why I have to play Flashbeck in Flachbeck on Flashbek under Flashbek just doesn't bother me. The end of the story is like, it could just be over, but I'll stretch it by 6 hours and I won't even talk about the final fight with Abby.
    I didn't mind the presence of LGBT and everything because it just made sense and it wasn't crammed everywhere.
    For me, The Last of Us is a huge disappointment and a demonstration that everyone should make their own opinion on the game, and not follow reviews, such as mine.    … Expand

    Остальное не выдерживает никакой критики....

    1) У Элли появилась девушка. Помню, как за неделю до выхода Логвинов и ещё некоторые обзорщики заверяли игроков, что лгбт в игре будет настолько немного, что игроки этого не заметят. Ну-ну. Да в игре на каждом углу натыкаешься на лгбт. Даже можно подслушать, как обычные NPC в разговорах обсуждают как круто быть лезбиянкой... 2) Феминизм. Это тренд последних лет, и игра ему строго следует. Здесь все завязано на женщинах. Мужчины нужны только для того чтобы ныть, жаловаться, да утешать главных героинь. Если убрать всех мужских персонажей (кроме Джоэла) - в игре ничего не поменяется. На мой взгляд единственный более менее харизматичный мужской персонаж - мальчик Лев. Только ему удалось показать, что он способен принимать решения и защищать тех, кто ему дорог. Остальные - пустые статисты, не вызывающие никаких эмоций.
    Отдельно хочу упомянуть вторую гг. Женщина - качок. В постапокалиптическом мире. Вы серьезно!? 3) Сюжет. В начале прохождения, когда убили Джоэла и стала понятна вся идея игры - месть, я представил что tlou2 будет схожа с assassin’s creed II - идеальным примером, какой должна быть месть. Но нет. Главная героиня убивает всех(и причастных, и непричастных), кроме той, за кем она проделала весь этот путь) это было бы забавно, если бы не было так грустно.
    И история Эбби выглядит как сова натянутая на глобус. У «лучшей убийцы шрамов» внезапно проснулись сострадание и совесть. Ага, очень убедительно. Прямо как конница на звездном разрушителе.
    История второй части на порядок хуже, чем история первой части! И привет Игромании и прочим изданиям, которые которые пытаются оправдать низкий рейтинг игры троллями, ботами, шпионами.... Нет! Все гораздо проще. Рейтинг такой, потому что игра - говнище! Люди недовольны из-за того что их ожидания не оправданы. Главный герой первой части слит, история первой части слита, нескончаемый поток социально-прогрессивной лгбтшной ерунды. Меня больше интересует как критики и журналисты оценивали игру.     Der zweite Teil ist im Grunde gut gelungen, nicht sehr gut aber gut. Da aber viele Leute grundlos haten geb ich max Punkte.

    Im Grunde gut weil alles besser ist als im alten Spiel.
    Gameplay, Grafik, Zwischensequenzen, KI, usw.

    Worüber man sich streiten kann ist die Geschichte.
    Für mich persönlich ist sie nicht schlecht lässt aber seeeeehr viele Fragen offen.
    Ich sehe die Geschichte aus einem komplett anderen Aspekt wie die meisten Leute denk ich.
    Wen ihr euch für eine total anderen Sichtweiße interessiert die auch auf den Fakten des ersten Teils basieren lest weiter:

    Viele werfen dem Spiel vor irgendein Statement setzen zu wollen.
    Nun wen, welches Statement setzen sie was dass Spiel soo schlecht macht?

    Keines!

    Joel wird umgebracht weil sich irgendwelche egoistischen Ar********r sich in den Kopf gesetzt haben dass Joel schuld ist warum Sie keine Heilung bekommen haben bzw. schuld am Tod von Abby's Vater(Joel's Mörderin).
    Sie beleuchten die Geschehnisse aus der Sichtweiße dieser Menschen allen vor ran aus der Sichtweiße von Abby.
    Meiner Meinung nach ein Fehler da es sehr viel weniger Spaß macht eine Mörderin zu spielen die man hasst. Story technisch ist ihrer Backsidestory nicht sooo interessant wie die von Ellie und Joel aber sie ist auch nicht komplett schlecht.

    Die Sidestory von Abby war kein Statement im Sinne von seht euch mal die arme Abby an, es zeigt nur eine sehr kaputte egoistische Frau die durch ihren Egoismus fast alles verliert.

    Hätten die Fireflys und der Doktor sich im ersten Teil mit Joel und Ellie an einen Tisch gesetzt und alle Fakten offen gelegt hätte sich Ellie aus freien Stücken für die OP entscheiden können und Joel wäre vermutlich extrem traurig gewesen hätte sie aber mit großer Wahrscheinlichkeit gehen lassen müssen.

    Dass haben sie aber nicht gemacht, sie haben Ellie gar nicht angehört und Joel vor vollendete Tatsachen gestellt um ihre persönlichen egoistischen Ziele zu verfolgen. Dadurch haben sie den Verteidiger Instinkt von Joel ausgelöst der natürlich wie soll es anders sein, seine persönlichen egoistischen Zielen verfolgt hat und Ellie gerettet hat. Jeder Mensch darf egoistisch sein, auch Joel.
    Er hat sich im Grunde nur gegen die Ungerechtigkeit verteidigt.

    Im zweiten Teil werden wir vor allem mit dem Hass und den egoistischen Wünschen einer fremden Person konfrontiert. Abby. Sie verkraftet nicht dass ihr Vater ein Ar*****h war und gibt jemand anderem dafür die Schuld.
    Sie löst die Rache Gedanken in Ellie aus und ist somit an fast allen Toten im gesamten Spielverlauf schuld. Ellie wird in meinen Augen nicht nur von Rache geleitet sondern auch von Verzweiflung, Trauer und Wut.
    Sie weiß nicht wie sie mit alle dem umgehen soll und denkt im ersten Augenblick wen sie die schuldige(n) tötet würde es ihr bessere gehen.
    Jedoch merkt sie im Verlauf des Spieles dass es ihr gar nicht um die Rache geht, sie ist nur unendlich traurig über den Verlust von Joel und erschreckt an ihren eignen Taten.
    Am Ende hat sie Joel, ihren besten Freund, ihre Freundin und ihre Heimat verloren.
    Sogar Gitarre spielen kann sie nicht mehr vollständig da sie zwei ihrer Finger verliert.
    Grundsätzlich würd ich sagen ist dass das keine Rache Story aus Sicht von Ellie ist.
    Es ist eine Rache Story aus Sicht von Abby.
    Ellie wird seelisch wie körperlich extrem schwer verletzt und verliert alles was sie im Leben hat.

    Im Grund weiß ich persönlich nicht worauf die Geschichte überhaupt hinaus laufen sollte?
    Eigentlich zeigt sie uns nur Verlust, Zerstörung und eine extrem ungerechte Welt.

    Im ersten teil hat man dem Spieler zwei geniale Charakter geschenkt.
    Im Zweiten Teil zerstört man die Charakter mit dem Vorschlaghammer und zerschreddert die Seelen sämtlicher Spieler.
    Ich bin in ein schwarzes Loch gefallen dass ich aktuell durch dass schreiben von Rezessionen und Youtube Kommentaren versuche zu füllen da mich diese extreme Traurigkeit vollkommen überwältigt hat.

    Dass Spiel ist nicht schlecht, die Story kann man so oder so sehen ich seh sie wie beschrieben.
    Ich find halt dass die Story kein Statement hat. Sie löst in mir nur Traurigkeit und Mitgefühl FÜR Ellie aus!

    Ich hoffe auf einen 3. Teil.
    Ich möchte wissen ob es Ellie schafft sich ein glückliches Leben aufzubauen.
    Daher seh ich nicht ein warum alle Leute das Spiel haten und mir die Chance auf eine Fortsetzung rauben. Ich bin einfach mal so frei und egoistisch wie Joel und sag euch haltet eure K***** wen ihr keine Konstruktive Kritik habt. Dann noch kurz an all diejenigen die sich fragen warum Ellie plötzlich lesbisch ist. Spielt den ersten Teil komplett mit DLC dann merkt ihr dass sie schon immer lesbisch war :P    … Expand

    An emotional and dark story the whole way through, showing the effects of seeking revenge. The game might not be for everyone, but I personally loved it.

    The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

    Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
