There's no problem for me with the character and the overall arch. It works and make sense.

On the gameplay side, it's more like everything Naughty Dog has perfected in this generation of console, they bring it on the table then expand it. The combat is fierce, whether you go gun blazing or like me, I prefer stealth, every encounter both with humans or infected will make your heart pounding literally sometimes makes you shook after it.

I love this game, though I thing that come to mind that this game will feel a bit draggy toward the final hours. Though I get the intent of the developers on why they doing that, I feel that it can be more compact. Anyway, it's 9/10, the game of this generation and a beautiful swan song for PS4.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The Last of Us Part 2 is the best game of this generation for me.

The graphics are amazing, the colors, the characters expressions and body acting was captured with perfection!
The final confrontation between Abby and Ellie, the way they moved, their eyes, the expression in them was breath taking, heart breaking!!!!

The jogability and usability of the controls and game, visual and sound options are truly amazing.

The voice acting is absolute perfection.

The story brakes my heart, but also brought me so much joy and the end, it leaves the door open for a Part 3, and I really hope ND does it too.

It is a game with a dark story, an adult/mature one that will not endear itself to everyone.

The basic idea of the story is simple: When Seeking Revenge, you should dig 2 graves and Abandon Hope All Ye Who Enter Here (referring to the path of Revenge)

It is a story of revenge, fury but also of hope, love, forgiveness and redemption.

I loved that ND uses Abby's story to bring the Story of the Last of Us full cycle and to trace a parallel with Ellie's and Joel's. Joel's redemption and Ellie's fall from grace.

As Joel found his redemption taking care and, after, caring for Ellie like a daughter, so does Abby with Lev and Yara, before both Joel and Abby were not the best of people, far from it but in caring for a kid made them slowly change and "start seeking the light again", to try and become a better person.

In Joel's case that meant, sadly, having to kill the Fireflies in their main base in order to be able to save Ellie's life.

In Abby's case that meant, sadly after she killed Joel, she had to be saved from the Scars by 2 kids in order to care for their well being, something that later, took her to do unimaginable things before to get the necessary medic kit so Yara could live.

And what an amazing road she took...the Ground Zero chapter's infected she had to fight was one of the most amazing things in games I ever saw.

Ellie's road on the other hand was so heartbreaking because we know her, we know her and Joel from the Last of Us, their rode, their pain, their bound with each other was our bond to them in the first game, we share her grief and hope to get back at Abby's group.

But ND made us see and share on Abby's story too, and her friends, at the end we also see them for the flawed people they are, with good and bad, and feel sad that the path to revenge takes everything good from Ellie, we see the trauma she feels, the price she pays after killing everyone of them, Ellie's show when she discovered that she killed a pregnant woman, and the price she pays again after Tommy guilt trip her to go after Abby again, but at last, right at the last moment.

I am glad that she could find a way to try, just maybe, one day, forgive Abby, and see that she is not so different from Joel at that moment, and as she said to Joel that she would like to try to forgive him for not letting the Fireflies sacrifice her life in search of a cure, that maybe someday she would like to try and forgive Abby to, if nothing else because Allie herself would not be able to live with herself after killing so many, and that killing Abby would not fix anything, just make everything more miserable.

I cried so much during this game, and felt joy, and hope and got crushed.... at the epilogue, I really hope Ellie goes back to Jackson and live her life, maybe find the strength to let go of so much hate.

I cried even more when Ellie tried to play the guitar....even that was taken from her...

In the universe of The Last of Us, as with our own, we can only totally separate "bad guys" from "good guys" a handful of times like the Rattlers gang at the end, a group of evil people that decided to enslave others for personal gain and survival instead of trying to create a community like Jackson (for example) or even the WLF and "Scars", both terribly flawed (and even evil sometimes) groups but not without their good side.

Overall, an awesome game. I love it to bits and will play it again on NG+

The last of us part 2 however is not that game. The last of us part 2 is an absolute dumpster fire. I feel naughty dog did a disservice to its fans of the first game. The trailer was designed in a way to where you can tell the company knew the game wasn't going to be liked. This was a desperate attempt to get sales up and isn't even the worst part. The game in itself is absolutely terrible. The gameplay itself is pretty good but the writing is absolutely terrible. The pacing is off, the game's sequence of events would actually work better in a different order because it's terribly put together. It's fine to kill off a character but if that character is the face of the franchise then don't kill them off in the first 2 hours in the dumbest way you can think of. This game forces you to play as a new character with little to no development and makes the previous protagonists the monsters of the game. You liked the old characters? Hell no you're a terrible homophobic hater who only dislikes the game to get at Neil. The game couldn't have been executed more poorly. In my opinion this game is the biggest waste of 60 dollars but if you HAVE to get it buy a used copy. So many people have returned this piece of crap that the used copies actually rival the new ones. But be aware if you do buy a used or new copy of this game some places are no longer taking returns because the game has come back in droves. Take my advice and steer clear of this game. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The problem with the last of us part II it is not related with it's gameplay mechanics nor with the visual aspect of it. It is solely related with the choice made from the writers for the storytelling. Beyond the ludonarrative dissonance (because videogames) and the obvious political agenda (and which is perfectly fine for me, beyond the fact that they use a shallow use a trans character for the mere fact of being trans). It is the way that naughty dog builds to tell us a story the real problem of this game. Disrespectful treatment of the former main character, and the way that they erase the deep personality of Ellie, becoming a being just driven by revenge. Abby plays the same role a caricature of a person which main goal (to kill Joel) and the way this goal is achieved, is beyond belief in this or in a postapocaliptic world. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I wouldn't normally review a game online because who in the hell cares, but hearing about death threats directed at Laura Bailey and seeing people give this 0/10 has prompted me to make a Metacritic account and even the scales a little bit. This game clearly and unequivocally sets a new benchmark for videogames in terms of story telling (yes, even more so than the first game), characterisation and voice acting. The environments are so lush, haunting and fully-realised that even the details have details (the aquarium and theatre particularly astounded me). Although the gameplay is not quite as perfect as it seems within the first half, it's certainly tight, fun, varied and nuanced. A clear 9/10, probably a 9.5 if I could.

As for the controversy about the plot, the developers are clearly aware of the love people have for the original characters and they do not take Joel's death lightly. In fact, they are using the affection that we have built up by playing the first game to create an incredibly dramatic and epic story that examines violence and the effects it has on people. The characters are able to act so callously only by dehumanising each other, which we become party to. The game initially paints Abby as cruel and evil and we happily murder dozens of her friends after she brutally murders our beloved Joel. But then we see her side, the pain Joel indirectly inflicted on her and the terrible fact that he had the power to save humanity and chose Ellie instead. We understand Joel's actions and the impossible choice he made, but we start to see Abby's point of view and her humanity as well. We see how the WLF are just traumatised ex-soldiers surviving, telling themselves that the "Scars" are sub-human to justify their own violence too. Then later we see Abby confronted with the humanity present in this group also, through her relationship with Lev and Yara. There are of course true psychos in all the human groups, especially amongst the Rattlers it would seem, but Abby has to come to terms with the fact that she has slaughtered dozens of ordinary people who were just trying to survive like her.

We humans clearly have a fascination with violence (I can't deny I had a lot of fun blowing people to kingdom come whilst playing this game) but in truth, we really don't have much of a stomach for the reality of it. As with any war, we're sold violence by being told that the nasty foreign man on the other end of the gun is worth less than us. When we're faced with the enemy's humanity, we see ourselves and then violence doesn't come half as easily. Some choose to acknowledge this and bear the horror instead of the cognitive dissonance, some continue to lie to themselves to feel ok, but we all respond in some way. The incredibly detailed and nuanced facial animations in this game, and the fact that you literally embody both sides of the fight, conveys the emotions brought about by the inner conflict that violence creates more powerfully than any movie with the same subject matter that I can think of. It's truly next level stuff.

So to those who are giving this game 0 out of 10, grow up and learn to appreciate true craft. If you want the first game, play the first game. If you want a boring rehash, play Call of Duty 58. If you're upset that Ellie's in love with a woman and there's an Asian trans character, snap out of it and realise that only seems strange to you because 99.9% of movies, TV shows and games have featured straight white people exclusively since time immemorial. The lack of self-awareness of people who think these elements are shoe horned in to be "woke" staggers me. And hey, there's still plenty of people in the game just like you to make you feel all special again!

Finally, to the people sending death threats to the voice actor (and even the face and body double!) of Abby, words cannot express how much of a **** you really are. To those lowlifes I somewhat ironically say "May your survival be short and your death be protracted." (Sorry, just doing a little bit of dehumanising of my own to justify my violent words there).

Anyway, it was an honour to play this game, I suggest you do too.

It went something like this: Death usually has no meaning, most of us won't die in any meaningful way, it comes out of nowhere and we are left desperate trying to deal with the loss of a loved one. I believe that the game making us feel this certain way is the main reason I am saying this is a masterpiece. Would like to request my dear gaming society not to believe these 0 out of 10 reviews please. Be mature, be more accepting. This game is ahead of its time, far too ambitious. I know that everyone wanted to feel the same way we did by the end of the first one, but if there is no change, just like in life if there are no ups and downs, it gets stale. Therefore, my dear gamer brothers and sisters, please be more accepting towards innovation and bold steps because if we don’t, we will get the same formula games over and over again just like we did throughout this generation. Different franchises felt like re-skins this generation. Developers have run out of ideas. In such times, the last of us part II actually felt, trust me, like a breeze of fresh air, however bleak it may be. Accept this game for the love of gaming. This is nothing short of a masterpiece and then some. Best gameplay. It’s been a long time since I’ve played a game so responsive as the last of us part II. Playing it makes you whole. You will feel overwhelmed by the possibilities it presents during every possible encounter. Be yourself in this game. Make your own story through every encounter and share it with us online or with your friends. Secondly, best graphics. This game has crossed red dead redemption in terms of graphics and detail. Yes, I know these two aren’t comparable because one is an open-world and the other is a semi open-world but trust me when I say this, it is the best looking game this generation. The atmosphere doesn’t fall short in making you feel alone and miserable, as every enterable building or area has it’s own story. Reading the letters by those whose corpses have decomposed with those letters in their hands, tell stories that can make you feel like playing a side-quest at every possible location where such artefacts are found. The detail of this game needs much more appreciation. Lastly, the story, is controversial yet the message it gives is a life lesson which us, the young inexperienced people of this world will not understand and it is a known fact that we, humans, always get afraid of what we Don’t understand. You might not ‘get’ the story or you might not like it, but I’m sure you will understand it when you ponder upon it years after ‘surviving’. You will see what was taught to us through this game was true. And then The Last of Us Part II will be appreciated by each and everyone of you, I know. Please love the people who have given us this ‘change’. Love them because in this world where the world works on the basis of money, they dared to do something out of the box, which already is damaging them. Be happy that there are still such people that can dare to differ. Years from now on, this game will get all the praise that it deserves and then some. I know it. Trust me. Embrace this game. You will not regret it. Expand

Fantastic game, and a testament to great story telling. All the low reviews focus on what happens in the first hour of gameplay. If you wanted a happy story, go play uncharted. I can't understand why people don't like this. For me, it was one of the best gaming experiences. First of all, this game tells a fictional story, which means we need to take it as it is - even if it's a happy or a sad one. Second of all, I don't see a problem in a intriguing story, with a lot of ups and downs, this is what makes it special, it is not boring and constant like other games.I can't understand why people don't like this. Well, people should understand that life can be pretty **** and all the characters have a story. What if someone important dies quickly and in bad way ? In this game you should understand the reasons, to be able to watch from different perspectives. It is about what hate and anger do to people and how far can the characters go, to achieve what they want.
    1. I enjoyed the gameplay much more than in the first one. It is better, it has more crazy creatures, more open (ex: in Seattle with Ellie, with the map), the combat is more interesting, enemies are not that dumb as in other games like this
    2. Graphics 10/10, nothing to say more
    3. Their attention to the details ( watch some videos on yt )
    4. [Spoilers a little bit] Not perfect, but I won't criticize it. I just accept it and I want to be open about it. I liked to play with both of the characters and I enjoyed the fact that I can see the both perspectives, and both of the journeys in the same time, I mean... the fact that those 3 days goes to the exact same time, in the present, where Abby finds Ellie is pretty exciting to see what will happen next. The flashbacks were awesome, too. Even though the ending made me sad, about Dina and Ellie, I didn't feel to do with Ellie the thing that she wanted to do from the beginning, I wasn't feling like I want to revenge anymore, moreover I just wanted to remain with Dina in that house. Poeple should not forget what Abby did at the theater, they could have been dead. The story could be different but we should really not cry like babies to the developers. This is a masterpiece in its own way, even if you like it or not, a 7-years-work which gives us what no other game give, something really different, something not all the people can understand.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Here I leave the reflection I had about TLOU2.

In Ellie's diary, in all the drawings she makes of Joel during the game she never drew his eyes, because the only memory that comes to mind when remembering him, is the look and the sad face he started to carry after the distance that the two started to have for Ellie having discovered what really happened in that hospital in the first game and saying that she would never be able to forgive him, despite being willing to try.

And she felt so guilty for that, of not having forgiven him in time and saying how much she loved him and how important he was to her, that she was blinded by revenge just as Abby was in killing Joel.

Before Abby met Ellie at the theater, we can see through a note that she writes in her diary, that she no longer knows why she chose to go on that journey, if she was still doing all that to avenge Joel's death or if the reason would be another (guilt)... She even hints that Joel would not support her decision to leave Jackson, as he always puts those he loves first.

And, unfortunately, Ellie had to abandon everything she had and lose all the people she loved to understand that all that cycle of hatred, violence and revenge would not lead them to anything, because regardless of what they do, even if she killed Abby, nothing would bring him back and nothing would be able to numb the pain in a way that would make it easy.

Most people hated the game because it has a bitter ending, but this is always the consequence of revenge.

We felt all the pain that the search for revenge caused for Ellie added to the feeling of mourning for Joel death.

This game is a masterpiece and shows us how much we should love and forgive those who are with us while there is still time and that is why it hurts so much and so many people hated it, because death does not announce its arrival, Joel died unexpectedly in a ridiculous way as we are all subject every day (and they mainly due to the context of an apocalypse).

Abby in search of revenge and for all her selfishness lost Owen, Mel, Danny, Yara and all of her other friends, in addition to her tribe (the wolves).

Ellie in search of Abby, also for revenge, lost Joel, Jesse, Tommy, Dina, JJ ... Some died and others left her ... But she lost what else had sentimental value to her, her ability to play guitar, the only connection she still had with Joel.

BOTH lost many important people during their journeys, who would still be alive if they had not chosen the path of hatred and selfishness.

So the phrase that defines this game is:

"Before going out for revenge, dig two pits. Revenge is sweet, but for the bee costs its life."

Another reflection, besides that revenge is not a worthwhile path to follow is that every coin has two sides and playing with Abby throughout the other half of the game we can understand this and understand her motivations so that she felt such a need to get revenge.

We went into her history and we can understand everything that Joel took from her, because he was also selfish in that hospital to make a real slaughter leaving a huge trail of blood and killing innocent people in horrible ways just to save Ellie.

In this game there are no dichotomies, as we see that each character is the hero of their own story, but if we analyze it broadly, there is no right and wrong, just like every war there are no villains, only two sides fighting for what they think the truth is.

Anyway, The Last Of Us 2 is an incredible game that brings us endless reflections and it's okay not to like it, but all those who are giving it free hate comments, are dumb people who didn't take even a second of their lives to stop and reflect on history and in the game proposal!

This game, in its proposal, was created to be realistic, not only in graphics and gameplay, but in content and history. And life rarely has happy endings. Life is also about loss, pain, hate... not just "lived happy ever after"... TLOU2 is there to make us feel this whole roller coaster of feelings... That's why it's amazing, because it's very difficult for a game, with fictional characters, to make you feel something in a personal way as I felt. That's why he is incredible. For the ability to touch people.

The shambler is really cool with his smoke shooting and the stalkers are creepy as hell. Scared the **** out of time the first time I was rotating the camera and saw it and then quickly went back and it was gone. The human -enemies are also very good. Their ai is one of the best I’ve seen. They work together and communicate. They feel like a real group with their call outs and the way they all have names. -exploration is much better is this game also. The areas are bigger and feel way more open. There are a ton of cool things you can miss completely if you don’t explore. Cons- the story. While for the most part I enjoyed it there are 2 parts which I did not like. The big one near the beginning with the character we all came to love. I’m not mad it happened as I expected for a while it was to happen. I just don’t think it was executed in the right way. It was just to convenient. Served up perfectly on a platter and handed over. It seems to unlikely that he would be the one to be right there at that exact second to be a hero and then lead to then lead to the group no questions asked while they are in their territory. The second part I did not like was the ending. It just makes the whole game, every thing that happened and every thing you lost seem completely pointless. You have no issue doing what you do and to who the entire game and then suddenly at the end you do? I think it would of been much better if you were given the choice of weather or not to do it.

Absolute beast of a game. Love it totally. The beauty of the game is the way the story goes that draws the player into the exact same feeling of the characters and start to question on the notion of revenge, anger, violence and sadness. No other games I played has been able to involved such feelings and reaction. The gameplay and graphics and the whole experience is GOTY to me.

Let's move on to the gameplay. Well yes, it's very much the same as TLOU 1 but is that necessarily a bad thing? I understand why people aren't ok with this since innovation is expected in sequels. To me, TLOU series was never about the gameplay, Naughty Dog's primary focus was the story and that's where they banked on. And banked on indeed! Fans are split. Yes the story leaves a bitter, burning acidic taste in your mouth from the get go. The story is dark, gritty and leaves you empty but that's exactly what makes it a brilliant game. Character development was nicely paced and needed. Acting chops of of each character in the game was top notch. The emotional impact that TLOU 2 rivals that of a finely crafted drama movie. No other game has made me feel that way. Overall, TLOU 2 was an incredible, breathtaking ride. Can't wait for the HBO series! Expand

    Spoilerwarnung!

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I liked it, the game had fun gameplay, the notes made the world bigger, i found the story engaging. I agree that the order of the game could have been different and some characters should have gotten more screen time. It's not a perfect game but the main points i see people being angry over are:

    1. Joel's death
    2. Abby being a bad character both visually and mentally.
    3. LeSbIaNS

1.First, Joel dying sad yes, is the world of Last of us fare on any level? NOPE. I think that there could have been other things to motivate Ellie or ways to give the story a conflict but then that would have been a different story. Joel’s death was horrible and that's the point. It’s a story about the Spiral of Revenge and why you shouldn’t go down it and if you do that you have the option to stop.

2.Muscle woman go Golf, did not have a problem with Abby, like her after I got to play with Alice, Liked talking to her Friends, Manny A+ give more screen time. Abby is a person just like Ellie, everyone is capable of bad stuff. Abby beats Joel with Golf club? Booooooooooooo
Ellie beats Nora with a pipe? yeeeeeaaaaaahhhh, that’s kinda hypocritical in my opinion.

3.I am glad that we get an open and visible active LGBT+ character (two since we got Lev but his LGBT+ identity is not that explored but they at least didn’t **** it up). You know how a character goes the whole series, movie or game not being romantic or attracted to any gender and then in a end credit scene, in some brand twitter post or some other **** they gay now. Also why save their gayness until the very end? Last of Us part says **** that, here is some Lesbions enjoy. Ellie and Dina could have gotten some more couple moments in Seattle but the beginning and end part goog.

overall i give it 8.7/10, could have been longer, could have changed some minor things, but in all honesty I don't see why people hate it but I understand not liking the game, I don’t like Uncharted but I don’t hate it.

The game-play is a whole lot better than the first games with exciting new mechanics which have a huge variety of ways to get through encounters which bolster replay ability. You can set traps, throw bombs, stun people, use a bow and arrow or a silenced pistol to take enemies down quietly and craft explosive arrows and incendiary shells. The controls are seamless and smooth which is really easy to pick up and play through the game including the vehicle control and the boats. The only drawback could be the fact that you have to keep scrounging around for materials, but its only purpose was to get you ready for the next encounter which could be with the infected or humans. Overall I would give the game-play a 9/10
    sound design and music
This is an incredible aspect of the game because it adds to the atmosphere of the game during encounters with enemies. Gustavo Santonella did an impressive job with the soundtrack as well in which everybody should give a listen to. The sound design is incredible from when you fight infected and the music creeps in which adds to the immersion greatly. I would give this a 10/10
    Graphics
Do you really want me to explain this? The amount of detail and colour which is put into this game is absolutely astounding with things you wouldn't even notice when you play through the game unless you dig deep into it and find them. The facial animations are realistic and expressive which shows that naughty dog put in a lot of effort once again. I would give this a 10/10
    The story
Now this is a controversial one.The story is absolutely incredible and Naughty Dog makes some bold, unpredictable decisions to make sure it shocks people. Around two hours into the game Joel is killed by Abby who murders him with a golf club. For me, this was a powerful way to start a revenge story. For some people, this is a generic cliche which is overused. At the same time you could say the same for the first game, which was a trek across the united states in a post-apocalyptic land.So what was it that made it special? It was the character development between these Joel and Ellie and the emotive experience in which it was executed. In the first half of the game you hunt down Abby and become a ruthless killer who doesn't care about whatever she does or who she kills or puts in risk only to murder those who have an association with Abby just so she can track her down and kill her. She turns into this monster who kills a ton of people just so she can be satisfied with herself that she kills Abby. Naughty dog does an excellent job of putting yourself in the character's shoes and feeling every emotion which is put into this game. In the first half of the game you feel angry towards Abby and what she did to Joel and Naughty Dog pulls it off. In the second half of the game the clock resets and you play as Abby and now you don't want to play as Abby because you couldn't care less about her and her character arc because she killed Joel, but as you keep playing you understand who she is and her personality. Abby was a firefly but her father was killed by Joel because Joel wanted to save Ellie and killed him in the process.Naughty dog could have taken a more predictable approach to the story where Joel and Ellie set off on another adventure across the country and hunted down cults and bad guys, but they decided to take a different approach. Instead, your actions in the previous game had grave consequences which led to this game. I feel that this game honours Ellie and Joel's relationship as it shows the great lengths that Ellie would go to in order to avenge Joel.
There is no real bad guy in this game but it has different perspectives. We learn more about the wolves from Abby's side and when we experience her side of the story and the world she lives in and we also see the Seraphites side of the story when we are with Abby looking for medicine in the hospital whilst we are with Lev who was part of the Seraphites.I deeply enjoyed this game for those reasons and I was able to connect with these characters and love them.During the end in the fight between Abby and Ellie, I wasn't rooting or cheering for any of these characters because I really liked these characters and I did'nt want death to befall them. The only issue I could really see about the game was the pacing issues in which I don’t think could have been done perfectly because it is hard to even out the days. Apart from this though i would give the story a 18.5/20.

At this point I will not give Naughty Dog any money. The game gets 1 for graphics, physics, and art style. I can't deny that the visuals are astounding until you look at Abby. Nobody asked for Abby, nobody wanted Abby, yet the Ma'am was shoved down our throats regardless. Unless the Online comes out with great potential I will not spend a penny.

Конечно, в ней есть недостаток и он же достоинство - довольно высокая эмоциональная, интеллектуальная нагрузка на игрока. В этом отношении игра - гениальная. Очень рекомендую к прохождению. It is actually a good game but lots of people are showing hate.Yeah at some point game gets too boring and the 80% of game we are playing as Abby.lots of people don’t like the game because of this only or for Joel’s death because they were too attached with him.But the game tells us about the unfair life and from every person’s perspective they are right no one is villain and no one is hero and that’s the other thing that lots of people don’t like this game.I agree that the story was poor then the last one’s, but If you look at the detailing of the game that is amazing the landscapes and shadows smoothness are pretty good.Thats it if you wanna check my YouTube channel search Hyperanxe sorry i didn’t give the link bye:) Expand

The story in my opinion worked for the most part, as i grew to like some of the newer characters like Abby, their stories and their actions. It was both emotionally and impactful and the end left me absolutely stubborn. I loved it. Not only does the game look and sound incredible, but i am so blown away for what Naughty Dog has brought to table. This is a game that has to be experienced before it can be judged.

Okay i finally get why the game is layed out like it is, with Ellie first and abby second and not broken up and jumping between them - it's so the gamer experiences the whole journey - we lose someone we love (Joel's death) we're angry and want revenge, we get further and further into that darkness, we get the revenge we wanted (abby killing joel) we realise it doesn't make things better, we find a new purpose in life (Lev) we find the light. See the reason we don't want ellie to kill abby at the end is because we know it won't work and we can see it as a mistake because we are emotionally way ahead of ellie at this point. We, the gamer, completed the whole cycle and found the light, ellie is still stuck in the dark, so we are able to see the mistake for what it is. I also realised that I'm not onboard with the abby section until Lev because I can't forgive her but Lev becomes a reason for us to want abby to live, she suddenly has a purpose because she is all Lev has in this world, so it's not we want abby to live because we forgive her or like her as a character, its because we need her to look after Lev because he's an innocent in this world and we want to protect him, so we can push aside our hatred for abby enough to let her do this.

I am in love with this game. It is an incredible game.

Absolutely horrible game. Complete fall from grace with the plot line the original had. I felt complete apathy after finishing the game and admit it you will too. I'm giving it 2 because they went too far in order to be politically correct. I don't support homophobic behavior, however I cannot support heterophobic either - just like this game - the only straight white guy gets shot by a black lesbian, that finishes him off in a brutal fashion by smashing his head with a golf stick. The other heterosexual guy also gets killed. The message of the game is "Kill the straight white guys! Only LGBTQ and black lives matter!" Sorry, but I can't support this.

First the attention to details in this game is phenomenal, the gameplay feels satisfying ,and the graphics one of the best out there, However all I mentioned was present in the first game ,sure it has improved a lot , but that's technology , we shouldn't judge the game by these aspects but by the story,, The idea is smart ,the execution was horrible , the game is based around characters doing stupid decisions ,2 or 3 bad decisions we might understand but the game is filled with them , the characters are nothing like the ones we've seen in the first game , they lost everything defining them and that is annoying abby is not likeable at all ,,the game failed at making me build any sympathy for her , abby and ellie are both unlikable in this game and this is coming from a fan of the first game , the only one I liked was Joel he did bad stuff but reddemed himself and he was portrayed as this evil monster At the end I felt no progress whatsoever , the abby hours felt boring and annoying and added nothing to the story , the game is all about killing people we spend hours murdering people in cold blood that had nothing to do with abby and were only protecting their land ,, and when one of abby's friends die ellie feels bad for it , it's weird and forced , the only good parts were Joel and ellie's flashbacks , they took everything that made the first game brilliant and just destroyed it Revenge is bad for ellie and good for abby huh ,what a Joke ,,,,,To quote Joel's words "SEE THERE WAS A SEQUEL , ,,WASN'T AS GOOD . Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
