I’m Asian and the facial models of the Asians in the game are disgusting, they are like people with Down syndrome... Jesse gets shot in the head and no one even bloody cares... Ellie clearly says that she dislikes Jesse because he’s Asian and not because she’s not interested in men. So it’s fine to be racist against Asians? Neil should be slapped in the face, a lot of Asians have been angered by this!… Expand

    Being forced to kill dogs completely ruins the game. Rapid checkpointing makes healing pointless since you can just reload the checkpoint every time you get spotted.

    An absolutely beautiful game. A masterpiece. I can understand why some people may not like certain character decisions, or how dark the themes were, but they are crucial in the overall story and message of the game. This amounted to an experience which ultimately elevates this game far above anything that any other piece of media I have consumed has achieved.

    I'm writing this after a long cooldown and had time to really think about the game.

    While Naughty Dog and Neil Druckmann revel in their 10/10 reviews, reality is that this game is just bad. Its not art, its nothing profound, its a game with a poorly written story and pacing issues. On a technical aspect the game is great, you can really tell how much hard and skillful work went into    I'm writing this after a long cooldown and had time to really think about the game.

    While Naughty Dog and Neil Druckmann revel in their 10/10 reviews, reality is that this game is just bad. Its not art, its nothing profound, its a game with a poorly written story and pacing issues.

    On a technical aspect the game is great, you can really tell how much hard and skillful work went into making it. Combat and animations are as smooth as ever, and graphics are beautiful.

    Thats where it ends, the game is split into two phases, 1 with Ellie, 1 with Abby, Upgrades, weapons, supplements, all get a feeling of worthlessness because of how the game is split. Why bother gathering things when you can only use them in one half of the game.

    In phase 2, you are forced to play as Abby, a character that most people who played the first game, will hate. You are then exposed to cheap repeated attempts to make you sympathize with Abby like petting dogs and messing around with your teenage love interest.

    The attempts at trying to make you see her side and sympathize come across as cheap, manipulative, and unwelcome.
    Naughty Dog should try the same on the hundreds of people Joel, Ellie, and Abby have killed. That's alot of dogs to pet.

    In the end, you are left heartbroken, resentful, unsatisfied, and disappointed.    … Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This game is just incredible. People are angry and mad because of Joel's death and Ellie forgiving Abby at the last moment, also due to LGTB references. This is simply stupid!

    Everyone has to understand that Joel isn't a hero. We missed him definitely, but in a post-apocalyptic universe, life depends only on survival and is unpredictable. ND achieved to mess up with our minds, to think in a different way, to feel what other people are living, and that's great.

    The game tries to tell us that revenge is a path to nowhere. Abby killed Joel, and what did she gain? Ellie killing all her friends. If Abby killed Ellie, she would have lost Lev, the only one left in her life. Ellie tried to kill Abby, and what did she gain? Nothing. She lost everything: her family, her friends, her knife, her fingers, and the ability to play the guitar which was the last gift and memory of Joel. That's what you get for taking that way.
    Did Ellie forgive Abby only with a sudden flashback? Yes, because she remembered her last moment with Joel when she tried to forgive him after two years because he lied to her and ignored her consent in the matter. If she could forgive Joel, why wouldn't she spare Abby? At that moment, she had already lost everything, and killing Abby wouldn't be the solution, because she'd have gained Lev to go against her and look for her death, and this nonsense circle continues...

    The storyline of this game is amazing, it makes us think differently in the way life treats us. They want us to sympathize with different characters along with the game, and they do. LGTB characters make no damage to the story at all. They just try to make us understand that being a lesbian, trans, or whatever in that kind of world is meaningless. SURVIVAL is key, and anything else matters.

    Perhaps, people were expecting to play as Joel, but if you saw the trailers, it was obvious that Ellie was going to be the protagonist and any other event, besides Joel's death, wouldn't have developed the revenge feeling which was the main topic in the story.

    I respect your opinion if you didn't like it, but at least you can't deny all the excellent work and time this studio dedicated to the creation of this game. Graphics are incredible, every little detail is astonishing, gameplay mode is better than the previous game, etc. Of course, TLOU is better than TLOU2 in many different aspects, but we can't let this masterpiece behind.

    Although technically it is awesome, the story and narrative is really weak and incoherent. The Last of Us was not only good graphics but a good story that did not insult the gamers.

    It is quite disappointing that with the talent of people in Naughty Dog this was at the end the result, Druckman as director should think about it and its own role during the development.

    Not used to writing reviews and as someone who doesn't describe themselves as a 'gamer', I don't have the depth of knowledge to compare the play with other games. I played the first Last of Us after watching a 'best of the year' round up on TV some years ago and liked its central premise. I loved that    I'm washed out and drained of emotion after finishing this ultra marathon of a game.
    Not used to writing reviews and as someone who doesn't describe themselves as a 'gamer', I don't have the depth of knowledge to compare the play with other games. I played the first Last of Us after watching a 'best of the year' round up on TV some years ago and liked its central premise. I loved that game, and although delighted that a Part 2 would come out, I was full of trepidation before starting - what if they ruined it? I somehow managed to miss all the spoilers too - hid from the Internet for weeks.
    The game can feel like a grind at times - encounter after encounter that doesn't seem to progress the story, and like the first game, the sidekicks still seem to get in the way when bring stealthy.
    That aside, the game mechanics were reassuringly solid, with some new melee additions.
    I also enjoyed the various and numerous nods to the first game - avoiding the sniper, sneaking up on Cannibal David (with a twist), and a horrible revisit of the bloater in the hotel basement (not a bloater, and it was a hospital) that left my heart pounding.
    For me, it's all about the story. I've heard that this game is described as a story of hate - I don't agree, it's of redemption and forgiveness (or lack of).
    No spoilers from me, but what I thought was the main part of the game, turned out to be just halfway.
    For what it's worth, I always agreed with Joel's decision - love can only be directed at a person, never a notion of a group (i.e. mankind). It was heart-breaking to see the fallout of his decision - for everyone concerned.
    The final encounter between the protagonists was suitably hollow - if it was a movie you wouldn't be leaving the cinema with a spring in your step, but I would have liked to see a final dialogue between them - an acknowledgement of what it cost both of them. Like Joel, these characters don't represent good and evil, they are all flawed but at least their characters are malleable - we see the change in their perspective.
    I'll be thinking about this game for many days to come, playing the morality out in my head. Thank you Naughty Dog!    … Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. What a brutal and dark game. I think it would be really difficult to make a revenge movie or game that was as ambitious as this was. They totally nailed it for me. I went from loving certain characters to hating them as well as hating some to loving them, in general I could just emphasis with how hard their lives had become. It was an emotional ride that often felt overwhelming but I’m so so happy I played it. Firstly, killing Joel was obviously something they put a lot of time and thought into and it gave us a base to explore stuff that’s definitely never been looked at in this way before. Revenge led everyone in a bad situation and we see how bad it is for everyone in the life’s of those that go after it.

    The game looks so brilliant and real. The music and sound design makes you feel scared, sad and lonely in an insanely beautiful way. The places you go are unique and ridiculously detailed. The acting and the characters all do such an amazing job that now that I’m done with the game I miss them. The gameplay is very similar to the first game but has been tweaked to feel more smooth and impactful than the previous game. I like that Abby, Ellie and Joel all play differently and have different skills. The ending is depressing and dark but it fits the tone of the game perfectly. We don’t always get what we want and sometimes we miss opportunities when we are blinded by rage or something that’s become an obsession. This dark story telling mixed with social issues like the LGBTQ+ issues and identity issues were done in a cool way that didn’t feel like pandering.

    This game is super ambitious piece of art that has to be played to the very end to get the full scope of its gritty beauty and deep emotional message that are difficult to process for me even now. Thank you Naughty Dog for another awesome experience.    … Expand

    Forcing players play as Abby doesn't make any sense, we played the first game because we loved the characters, and were willing to make the right choices with them, but the second game, we just play it because we have to, we had no choice...

    A game that try to make you sympathize with a character that kills another character that you love? A a game that makes you feels horrible 90% of the time?

    That the last of us part 2 is the game for you.

    Wholeheartedly agree with the media reviews. The game is virtually perfect. Naughty Dog have created, once again, a masterpiece. Bold decisions were made in the execution of the storyline, and it worked.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Я просто подавлена. Как этой игре люди ставят 10? Омерзительная поделка, порочащая великолепную первую часть. Начнем с минусов, потому что плюс в этой игре только один, и о нем чуть позже.
    Минусы:
    1)Сюжет. Отвратительно слили Джоэла, и заменили его худшим персонажем, за всю историю игровой индустрии. Больше мы не наблюдаем за отношениями отца и "дочери", отличный тандем слит в нулину. Зато теперь вместо Джоэла у нас есть перекачанное закомплексованное убожество, на которое трудно смотреть без слез. Слез не от того, что ты сопереживаешь персонажу, а от того, что ЭТИМ убожеством заменили Джоэла. По-настоящему живого персонажа... Вторая половина игры просто не нужна и бесполезна, если ее выкинуть, то ничего не изменится.
    2)Геймплей никак не эволюционировал с первой части. ИИ глупы, не видит напарников. Никаких дельных механик игра не показала, а стелс реализован очень плохо. Единственное, что появилось новое - возможность играть на гитаре, но одна гитара не вытащит игру из помоев, где она оказалась.
    3)Русская локализация оставляет желать лучшего, Местами мысли искажаются, а так же нету русского мата, а в Английской озвучке он есть.
    4)Главный минус игры - Пропаганда феминизма и ЛГБТ+. Я покупаю за 5 ТЫСЯЧ РУБЛЕЙ игру про постапокалипсис, про отцовско-дочеринские отношения Джоэла и Элли, а получаю что? Сцены с совокуплением. Зачем мне смотреть на то, кто с кем совокупляется в игре про зомби апокалипсис? Я плачу 5 тысяч за игру, где мне показывают порево ради порева, чтобы, видимо, дети, играющие в это, узнали, что это такое. Зачем мне на это смотреть?
    Пилим дальше. Почему у женщин тут волосатые подмышки? Я, конечно, понимаю, что это постапокалипсис, бриться людям некогда, и не до этого вовсе, но давайте на чистоту. Кому приятно смотреть на эти мохнатые подмышки? Покажите мне этого человека. Это же мерзко. Будь они нормальными, никто бы внимания не обратил. Зачем так делать? И финалочка. Почему половина врагов тут - это женщины. Мне надоело убивать женщин в этой игре. А джаггернауты вообще вызывают только отвращение. И те, кто пишет, что игру нельзя ненавидеть за пропаганду - просто фанбои. Если вам на тарелке принесут вкусный салат, и добавят в него помои, вы станете его есть, даже если помоев там не много? Тем более что в игре пропаганды предостаточно, уж точно больше, чем немного.
    Плюсы:
    1) Графика.
    На этом плюсы закончились...

    Подведем итог: Все, кто ставят игре 10 - это особо впечатлительные люди, только и всего. Критиков купили, тут все понятно, но игроков никто не покупал. Почему у игры такие высокие пользовательские оценки? Я не шучу, 5.2 это слишком много для этой поделки. Она должна быть так же закидана единицами, как закидали Warcraft III Reforged, если не сильнее.     Most moving and thoughtful story I have played in any video game. Wonderful representation of the mental trauma brought on by the loss of a loved one. Best stealth action game I have experienced, finally beating out SC Chaos Theory. Visceral and remorseless violence that is presented that way for a reason. Animation and voice acting puts any other game to shame. I can’t stop thinking aboutMost moving and thoughtful story I have played in any video game.     It took me about two weeks to finish the whole story of the game, mainly because the story of Ellie line felt so dry. Sometimes I even had no motivation to push the story forward. However, the taste completely changed in Abby's story. I like Ellie and Joel in TLOU. The imperfections of Ellie in part 2 remind me of Joel in TLOU. On the other hand, Abby exhibits more typical "protagonist"It took me about two weeks to finish the whole story of the game, mainly because the story of Ellie line felt so dry. Gameplay is alright, nothing very innovating and new compared to the first which isn't terrible because I didn't love the first one cause of the gameplay. I loved it because of the story and the emotional connection to the characters that the game gave me. The Last of Us Part 2 lost all sight of that. Killing Joel wouldn't be the worst thing for the story if he were to go out in a way that represented the amazing character that he was. But to kill him off in such the bland way that they did really took me out of the game. And for it to happen so early in the game was really disappointing not just because I liked Joel as a character, but because he added to the sorry in such vast ways. That's why they had to have in the rest of the game in flashbacks because they know he adds to the sorry. And some of the flashbacks were the best parts of the game because of this. And then to follow this with having to play as Abby. **** that, I'm getting mad just thinking about it again. The rest of the sorry is just a story of typical revenge and rage which I got through just so I could kill the terrible character that is Abby. And get this, after all that, you can't even kill her. You're forced to just let her go. What a crock of **** A videogame is supposed to be enjoyable at the end of the day. And the story for this game really ruined any enjoyability that I could possibly have with The Last of Us Part 2.… Expand

    It's a above average game. Uninteresting new characters who are just there for a story to exist what ever we loved at the first game is not there.
    Even the protagonists (both of them) story and love interests is sooooo rushed and in your face with not background or explanation that look fake.     As a huge fan of the first game, The Last Of Us Part 2 is everything I could have hoped for and more. It’s a beautifully crafted story. Joel and Ellie are incredibly acted and leave you with one of the most emotionally weighted narratives you will ever experience in a game. There is nothing predictable about where the story will take you, or what it will make you feel. The last of us 1 had compelling characters, but they felt like an empty shell in this game. If you grew up with the characters of the first game, you will feel cheated. Aside from the miserable story and strange character motivations, it has awful pacing, confusing timelines and strange moments of suspension of disbelief.
    To keep it simple, you either hate or love the second main character. There is no inbetween, which divides the entire fanbase.

    Personally, It was hard for me to get emotionally invested in the second main character, added having a questionable ending. Are we supposed to have an 180? Hate the original characters and love the new ones? It's not that simple.

    La jugabilidad se empeña en mantener intancta la diversión de la primera entrega y añadir mejores matices a ella, no hay nada que criticar en este ámbito para mi al menos.
    Los personajes son creíbles y lo más importantes EXISTEN EN LA VIDA REAL, pues no se empuja una "agenda politica" en algo que nos rodea y no lo vemos necesariamente, pues normalmente no se anda preguntando orientación sexual o identidad de género en la calle a medio mundo, por lo tanto, no porque no veas, no está ahí todos los días.
    Para lo que el juego significa, el final tiene cabida en su mundo, desesperado en encontrar justicia para cada personaje que vive en el y finalmente, que se sienta real en las circunstancias que se desarrolla.
    RECOMENDADO, excelente cierre para la cuarta generación de Playstation.    … Expand

    I have almost played through the story twice and loved it from start to finish each time. Tlou 2 had a lot to live up to and this game “to me beats the first in every regard. The audio and proformances are all top notch some even bringing tears to my eyes.     El gameplay me dejo muy satisfecho, lo que hace es pulir al máximo las mecánicas del 1 y agregar una que otra cosa para hacerlo nuevo 9.3/10, graficamente es una total belleza comparable a Red dead Redemption 2 10/10 y en lo que es sonido y banda sonora me parece notoria, muchas sonidos y ritmos se me han quedado en los recuerdos y hasta a veces los tarareo pero no senti que fuera superior al del 1 quizas un poco por debajo.9.2/10

    Los unicos puntos negativos que le veo al juego son su duracion, el juego se extiende unas 5 a 7 horas, si hubiera durado 20 horas me hubiera parecido perfecto pero 25 a 30 me parecen excesivas, y otro punto seria la manera de contar la historia yo la hubiera hecho de otra manera, fuera de esto son los unicos puntos negativos que le veo, este juego es casi una obra maestra por no decir obra maestra (en mi humilde opinión).

    It is truly a masterpiece. The combat is exhilarating, the story emotionally challenging, and the world and character design are incredible. If you are squeamish or are looking for something that keeps the plot similar to The Last of Us Part I, you may not enjoy this game.

    I finished the game after 3 days of intense gaming and I was completely invested.

    The Last of Us 2 é uma experiência incrível. A morte do Joel incomodou muitos jogadores, inclusive a mim. Entretanto, se olharmos a história pelo outro lado, onde Joel, no primeiro jogo, eliminou por completo a possibilidade de criação de uma “cura”, ele realmente fez grandes inimigos. TLOU2 entrega uma história dramática e muito emocionante. Muita coisa mudou do primeiro jogo pra o segundo. As comunidades, criações, entre outras coisas evoluíram. É muito bacana observar como isso foi mostrado no jogo.

    Graficamente o jogo arrebenta. O mundo “pós apocalíptico” continua muito bem representado. Inclusive a vegetação cresceu e a flora tomou cidades deixando os cenários lindos. Enfim, é um jogo completo com uma experiência incrível, assim como o primeiro, que deve ser jogado por todos aqueles que presam por um game de enredo e conteúdo artistico único.    … Expand

Abby literally gets a better ending than everyone else. She killed Joel and Jesse, she shot tommy and caused him to lose an eye, She beat Dina almost to death and was gonna kill her even when Ellie told her Dina was pregnant, she bites her fingers off and Ellie somehow still makes the decision to let her go like wtf? Plus Dina left Ellie so now she is alone. This game **** sucks............................................................................

The story made me hate a character and empathize with her within a few hours. I even grew to love her in the end. I still talk with my friends about it, and we share teories and cry together.     Si el primer juego el mensaje y reflexionar fue de que hay que vivir con las consecuencias de nuestras acciones y dejar atrás el pasado esta secuela no deja ver como la venganza y la violencia .     An amazing game that tells a two sided story with a spiral narrative. The gameplay brings improves and you will notice if you played The Last of Us "part one". I kept playing for hours trapped in the story. The enemies are defiying, humans and infected. If you doubt about buying "The Last of Us Part II", dont do it anymore, it is a Must have in your collection.

    This review's vote is dedicated mostly to the game-design and program team work. Suggestions and the general game review are below
    The game had all the potential to became a good and progressive mirror of our days with unreasonable hate, murder and cruelty. Many things though are completley ruining all the good and bright ideas wich are the most important thing of a game like this one.
    First of all, my condolences to the game-designers and program writers, this vote I give purley to your work with eyes completley closed to the storytelling and characters writing. You deserve a better story.

    The 7 goes to incredible work:
    attention to details is huge, the way Joel covers his eyes whle the sun is up too bright, the way that ice breaks under pressure, the snow melts on the character's jacket, all theuse things are impressive. The progressive face animation is gorgeous, the movemens are so natural, realistic and, at my opinion very beautiful
    The gameplay is mostly the same of a 1st game so there are no disapointmens in here, with some more things to do, like the rope that you can now use to climb in some locations etc. (the camera movement though makes me a little nauseous, the less blur would be great :)

    And w're done with positive aspects

    FIrst of all, the characters. They are a quiet forgettable. Close to the end I didn't feel anything
    They are written, in my honest opinion and in many others, really really poorley. The idea that they should bring us is too much at the surface. It could have remain the major important theme of the story, but with more "elegancy", I'd say, integrated better into a post-apocalypce world.
    Instead of making us play 10 final hours straight to the unpleasant (for most fans of 1st game also hatefull) character with a sad-sad story wasn't a good move at all

    I see it narrowed better in this way:

    -Reduce these 10 hours of Abby gamplay to atleast 5-6. And then distribute all these hours in between the Ellie gameplay. Like: one day of Ellie in Seattle and then the same day of Abby but shorter. This would have made the story more intresting and less boring. (that's why 7 in tot for gameplay)

    -All the actions have it's consequences. After the huge story (wich could have been legendary, but it is very very flat all the sudden) we have a pointless ending, that (as I personally understand it) should have show us how self-distructive is hate for both sides.

    But it is not that intuitive as the developpers might have thought it. I pretty much hate the fact that when the most of the playes disiked the game, the developers and "huge fans" with anger are accusing these gameres in intolleransy and call them a closed-minded. I'm personally always pro the new ideas, the new, better world with no (or atleast with less) hate and ignorance. But I would rather like to speak and hear aboud it a more profound, less superficial way. We gamers are not stupid:D
    When you throw a game like this, throw a bunch of money into a project, a Huge quantity of the human resource for at the end give us a really cheep story with magnificent decoration, it brings back as a response a lot of noise (I'm starting to think This was your goal), and insead of understanding the idea people doesn't even notice it. They are just feeling anger, saddness and emptyness because of a spit into a soul. Murder their favorite character in a brutal way and then cover it with a poorly written story? I understand the reasons, I know what Joel've done.
    But then you make us play for the "antagonist" while trying to raise sympathy to it? You can't start to sympathize a person just because he saved a zebra once. You can't do in either just because that person had a beloved dog wich "mean" Ellie murdered in a cutscene (in self-defense, I remind you). Forcing to hate Ellie and love Abby feels queit wrong. This is a cheapest mode ever existed to provoke compassion. If only the Abby's story would have been told with more accuracy... With less stamps. I am really sorry for what she's been through in her childhood. I'd like to know better This story, than to see how the writers are worthlessly trying to create a parallel between the duet of Abby and a child she starts all of the sudden to carry about, and the immortal duet of Joel and Ellie. These two aren't to replace.

    -At the ending I'd rather like to have a choice who to fight for in a final battle. After a better storytelling than it is now, understanding better real reasons of both sides a gamer would have think very carefully whose side he is in.
    And than also to have an option: to kill or to spare a life
    This ending would have blown everyone's mind

    To return into a equilibrium position (tollerance) from one of the extremes(hate) the pendulum should first bend to an opposite extreme. how many old masterpiece games series will we lose trying to rich it? Atleast do it better

It's because they are both awful people you have no sympathy for. The trans character murders a dog and the main character of the first game. And this is the protagonist??? I think it relies heavily on whether you empathise with Abby. The gameplay is good but has not evolved as much as it should have. The enemy AI are fantastic however.     The gameplay style is like the first TLoS, with some good improvements, more fluid and funny to play.

    I read many bad ratings and 99% of them are made for very stupid things (ohhh she’s kissing another girllll!! Smoking weedddd!) or made by people that don’t understand the story (or they played it in a very superficial way). Developers developed people, not characters in this game.

    While playing this game, you have to thing about the actions You do 1000 times. Not because your actions can change the events in the game (the story is independent and has only one end) but because your action will have consequences of yourself! And it’s the first game that makes me feel that (semi spoiler: I’m sorry Bear)

    Things that i don’t like much in this game:
    - like previous chapter you can’t return in the previous area.
    - skill tree very basic, it could be improved a lot
    - Italian localization of scars (why hyenas?!)

    Very disappointing game, absolutely does not live up to the original. The writing takes a back-seat to propagandizing garbage and the autosave system makes the game way too easy, among many other issues.

    Man I was not ready for this! ND took lot more risks (which is rare in AAA games) in this game and i think it pays off. I was not ready to the turns the game would take but I have to agree, I almost put my controller down at a certain point. But as you move forward, you slowly realize the story ND is trying to convey and you just cant stop feeling awed. Dont get enraged by the leaksMan I was not ready for this! Instead of making the actions right/wrong, it explores the moral gray area which as you progress through the story makes you question yourself ]which I feel is genius. By the end you definitely would get a clear picture on what ND was trying to say and man does it work. It may not be the sequel one wants but it the sequel the first game deserves.… Expand

    This game is perfection. Visually stunning and amazing fluid controls and combat. The story is great and a natural continuation of the first. If you want to play a stunning example of the pinnacle of technology and story telling in video games play this. Never felt so attached to the characters in a video game since the first one. Cant wait to play through again.! Great job naughty dog

Gone are the nuanced performances of the first game, watching interplay between Joel and Ellie evolve. This story is much more focused on love triangles, pregnancies, and soap opera fare. No wonderfully touching uplifting storytelling, watching a growing paternal love save a broken man, no narrative beats to echo the beautiful giraffe scene from the first game. It’s grim, grimy, and thoroughly predictable, with character storylines sounding like something from 90210 or the OC, though maybe a tad more depressing.

    The basic premise is that violence begets violence, and we should have stopped long before the events of the end game. I wish I had heeded their advice.    … Expand

    I found the game incredible. the plot, character development. the way the game approached important issues in a mature way. I loved everything about this game. I just reset it and I can't think of any defects.

    Excelent game in every aspect. The story is great despite all the bad reviews. You change your mind many times about the characters, and this game is the best of all in this aspect. You can enjoy it from the begin to the end.

The gameplay is short simple and even dumbed-down. The creators clearly had a story to tell and that's fine. I just didn't enjoy it. In the end it was a game and not the end of the world if everyone liked or enjoyed it but it was not worth my money in the end and I feel like I wasted a lot of time feeling bad while playing it. I dont care about any of the controversial things in the characters themselves I dont have a problem with different people and their ideas or how they live their lives. But my problem is not letting us have control over the final choice because I would have killed abby just because I put myself in the character when I play games and you could say that abby killed my Joel self and my Ellie self wanted to kill her and even my abby self couldn't avoid committing suicide repeatedly during her easy linear gameplay that soon feeds you items on the path you are on. It's almost like they didn't want you to ignore her and proceed directly to the end my first moments as abby I didn't do anything just let the scene take place with all the action going on and people on horse back trying to kill me I just sat there the game literally broke my desire to play. My first real enthusiastic act as abby was to plummet to my death repeatedly. I know a zero seems harsh like I should rate on story graphics gameplay etc. But I did and honestly the one thing in this game that makes it bad for me is bad enough to render all other positives null and void, let me kill abby. Ellie may know forgiveness but I dont care and still want her dead.… Expand

The whole way through I was enthralled in this world and the gameplay was intuitive and engaging. I kept getting amazed and wanted to continue seeing where this game led. This revenge tale I feel is important as Ellie has taken on a lot of Joel’s traits and with how the game proceeds you see that she’s slowly becoming more comfortable with it, even going so far as to torture. At the same time though we see Ellie get affected by these actions and due to Ellie allowing herself to get consumed by this need for vengeance, she lost everything. I won’t lie I was sad with the ending but I felt it was a bold and important for the story. Ellie wasn’t a good person throughout the game, just as Joel wasn’t and I’m happy we got to finally play this full game.… Expand

    The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.
