    Truly a masterpiece, the final act gave me emotions I've never felt in a video game before. All the negative reviews are individuals acting like childeren, and not letting the developers share their story. Gameplay and combat are satisfying aspects of the game that never got old; all animations are fluid and have impact.     The one thing that's is great are the graphics and gameplay but story is awefull.The game has the worst ending in video game history.I am a hughe fan of de studio but what they done on this game is a shame.This is not how you make story driven videogame.

    when a game pushes an agenda this hard with a lot of critics by their side, is easy to fall for the "best game ever" propaganda that money can afford.
    if TLOU 1 was a good game saved by charismatic and good character dev. this pushes all outta window to make space to boring and nonsense plot moments.

    The Last of Us part II is definitely worth playing through at least once. I had only one issue with the story other than that its a phenomenal game. The pacing felt slow at times which was the biggest issue. Other then that i really enjoyed this game. I enjoyed both ellie and abby's gameplay moments. Perhaps abby's more on certain occasions. I didn't think any game could ever top the first Last of Us and as I played the game I often found myself wondering whether this sequel, while good, would be good enough to dethrone the first one. Throughout the story I found myself going back and forth with it like a love hate relationship. There were times where I just wanted to put the game down and stopBest game I've ever played. Despite that I kept playing because some part of me wanted to see it through to see if there would be redemption. In the end I didn't really get the satisfying redemption I was looking for but it made me question things like who's good and who is evil in the story. You may be the hero in one person's story but the villain in someone else's. No other game has ever drawn out so much emotion in me for the plight of fictional characters. Most movies don't even accomplish that much personal connection to the viewer. A true narrative masterpiece. Can't wait for Last of Us Part 3!… Expand

    Un juego que se ve influenciado por las tendencias de la actualidad de la identidad de generos , para causar polémica, haciendo aun lado la buena historia que llevaba el primer juego, y un gameplay que lo podríamos confundir con un Splinter cell pero con una chica con diferentes preferencias sexuales, esperaba mucho de él y la decepción ha sido grande.

Это продолжение культовой первой части, которая по итогам стала игрой десятилетия и оставила настолько огромный след в истории игр, что в итоге ожидания второй части настолько были завышены и в итоге фанаты первой части получили, не, то что хотели.
    Плюсы: Графика. Графика в этой игре просто прекрасна, для ps4 это максимум, сколько сил было убито чтобы создать такую картинку.
    Атмосфера. В отличие от первой части где был красочный, жесткой пост апокалипсис, вторая часть немного меняет её в очень суровую и серую жизнь, но к концу игры атмосфера и вовсе пропадает, это плюс только за первую часть игры.
    Проработка мира. Шедеврально.
    Флешбеки, или самоповтор. Все таки надо понимать что первая часть строилась на взаимоотношении Джоэла и Элли и когда во второй части происходят флешбеки это просто выжигает напалмом твои волосы.
    Минусы:
    Сюжет. Сюжет игры оказался не тем что все ждали. В начале игры нам показывают самый лучший момент игры (спойлер!) смерть Джоэла, его настолько жесткого убивают на глазах Элли, что самому хочется убить тех кто это сделал. И теперь главный минус игры это персонаж Эбби, как Элли только Эбби, это детище современного движения и Аниты Саркисян. Naughty Dog наверно не понимают что ( борцы за права ) не играют в игры и особо не на что не влияют. Но с другой стороны персонаж полностью раскрыт, его мотивация, и характер и в общем сюжетная арка сделана хорошо, но вид Эбби это ужас, за неё отвратно играть, а секс сцена с её участием напоминает гей порно. И один из тупейших моментов игры и ее посыл заключается в том, если тебя вот вот убьют говори что ты беременный. А теперь главный минус игры СМЕРТЬ ДЖОЭЛА и просто слив, Джоэл в первой части распознавал мразей и уродов по первому взгляду, а тут зачем то доверился незнакомцам. Ну и повестка игры сама за себя говорит.
    Геймплей. Геймплей почти не изменился, и уровень сложности это что-то с чем-то, на уровне выживание получается идеальный стелс шутер, а на нормальной скучное дерьмо.
    Самое большая печаль связана с работой разработчиков, игра в плане техническом плане 10 из 10, а вот сюжет и повестка 0 из 10.    … Expand

    This is so bad and cruel game and this makes it exelent. Game shows how post-apocalyptic world truly is and what revenge can do without any sugarcoating. Loved how they managed pull me in so deep into the game, every kill makes you feel better until you feel sorry. Got me there Naughtydog, good job.

    Evil within 2 was not bad but I liked Evil Within 1 more ,which was more linear. I still consider evil within 1 to be one of the best horror games .The same goes for Last of us 1, which is one of the best exclusive on the playstation.Last of us 2 definitely did not live up to expectations .     LOU2 is simply a must play for anyone who has a PS4.
    Gameplay has been further improved on allowing people to jump over cover and between buildings, go prone in tall grass or go under cars. It allows so much more complexity in levels and lord this game is brutal. When you shoot someone with a shotgun their limbs will just explode, headshots when preformed the body will just stand still    LOU2 is simply a must play for anyone who has a PS4.

    Now story is a little hard to explain without any spoilers.
    The game is split into two segments, one were you play as Ellie and the other where you play as a girl called Abby,. Why? That's a pretty heavy spoiler but this game takes the approach of "You're the villain in someones story." That's all I can say The story is weaker than LOU1 but a good story none the less. Story 7/10
    Give this game a shot. I'm not promising you'll like it but I am saying it's worth giving a shot.

People that say this game is a masterpiece has clearly not played a masterpiece and people that say this game is trash is either a hater or overly obsessed with Joel. Alot of the plot in this game is questionable especially the second half it's complete mediocrity story wise. However if u didn't like previous naughty dog combat systems you not gonna like this one....... probably. To sum it up loved elllie part hated everything else..... Story wise. Game is fun tho give it a try only if you enjoy the GAMEPLAY of the previous game if you are looking for a deep connection between character like Ellie and Joel look elsewhere… Expand

    In film it’s ok to switch protagonists or make an antagonist the main character. The problem with gaming is no one wants to play as a character who is actively killing or maiming the characters they loved from the previous game. It just doesn’t work and it seems cruel and unusual to play as a bodybuilder who has killed one character you loved and then as that bodybuilder you violently beat up another character you loved(in a fight that seems wildly outclassed in terms of physique) and then smash in the face of that character’s pregnant girlfriend. It’s utterly tone deaf and doesn’t work in any sense. The main takeaway and theme of the game is “murder is bad” yeah, we knew. You can’t take characters that were established and loved and mold them in to fit a theme and totally disregard them.

    Don’t play this game. Don’t support this game. It is character assassination all for the sake of subversion.    … Expand

    The writers killed JOEL, the CENTRAL character (my favorite, like many others), to « subvert expectations » as some would say. Needless to say, like the reference, it was very deceiving.
    I genuinely don’t know if they screwed the original (good?) scenario because of political considerations or if they just forgot how to write between the 1 and the 2, but I didn’t have a good time playing TLOU2. Even Telltale games were more enjoyable. I rate it a 1, and not 0 only because it made me understand some games were made to be one-shots...    … Expand

Joel did everything he could and killed literal doctors to save Ellie, and after Ellie kills: Owen, Mel (pregnant), Nora, hundreds of random people; watched Jesse, Joel die; watched Tommy get shot in the eye; have Dina give her an ultimatum and break it; she FINALLY gets a chance to kill the supposed antagonist and can't. This nightmare of a story has literally everything unsatisfying happen that could happen. It feels like subverting expectations turned up to 14 and it is just too much and too far to be relatable or enjoyable. Disappointed.… Expand

    Graphics are great, sadly graphics don't make the game great. The story (which the original did great) is terrible. Gameplay is lacking heavily especially around stealth. What kind of game, motion captures and digitizes the lead designer for a sex scene???

    O jogo nao te da a escolha de matar a assassina do seu pai, mas te forca a jogar com a assassina por mais de 3 horas num gameplay chato, cansativo e bastante desnecessario.

I don’t know what possessed Druckman to turn a highly anticipated sequel into the video game version of game of thrones season 8, but him being made into an out of place NPC that’s only there to spit and curse in Spanish in the game speaks volumes. This game isn’t about the cycle of revenge and anger, this is about some moron with an agenda trying to and pitifully failing at sUbVeRtInG eXpEcTaTiOnS. Also, a sex scene? Whoever calls this game a masterpiece is either being bribed or has zero brain cells. They said most people wouldn’t like this game before it released, so then what was the point in spending millions of dollars making a game that you knew would be hated by the fans. Naughty Dog has lost all my repsect and I hope they do not make an Uncharted 5, because they would ruin that franchise too. Do not trust people who claim that this is a great game. No wonder over half of Naughty Dog’s staff left during development of this game. Do yourself a favor and save your money for games that don’t spit in the faces of its fans. Joel dies 2 hours into the story, Ellie turns into an idiot for killing all of Abby’s friends but not killing her just because she gets a flashback to Joel playing a guitar, and the game tries to make Abby a likeable character even though she kills Joel and Jesse, and almost kills Tommy, Dina, and Ellie. Joel dies without knowing who killed him, and Abby even gets saved by Joel but still kills him. If Ellie was killed and Joel was the one hunting down Abby, the last thing he would do is spare the person who killed the person that he sees as his daughter. There is no way anybody can say this is on par with the first one, because the first one is leagues above this pile of trash we waited 7 years for. The graphics and music are the only great things about this game, but none of that matters when the story is terrible and the gameplay gets stale quickly. Also, nobody wanted to play as a new character for half the game, especially if that new character is as unlikeable as the one we were given. The focus should have been on Joel and Ellie, because that’s what made the first game so great. They should have also made Tommy playable instead of Abby and have Ellie and Tommy be the characters you play as along with keeping Joel alive until at least the last few hours of the game. There’s a lot more problems I have with this game, but I don’t want to spend time writing them all down. Just know that this game is not something you should be proud to like, because it completely butchers what the first game had established for its characters, and the story has too many logic gaps and characters acting like they’re not themselves. I highly recommend the writers of this story quit and go be janitors at Taco Bell, because they would be more useful there.… Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. this game has a terrible story. it ruined the franchise. the characters don't act like themselves only for the sake of the poorly written plot. it's a horrible disappointment compared to the first game, which was probably one of the best games i've ever played in my life. the gameplay is fine, i just personally don't like the dodging mechanism. other than that the exploring is pretty fun, i'll give it that.
    the graphics are beautiful too, very nice attention to detail.
    the only problem is the story. (spoiler alert)
    the way they kill off Joel is just horrible. Joel would never trust a group of strangers. for example, in the first game, while he's driving in Pittsburgh with Ellie and spots a man screaming for help, claiming he is hurt. Joel obviously didn't trust him and attempted to hit him with the car. but in the new game, he decides to trust Abby without a doubt. this isn't what Joel would've really done. Ellie doesn't actually feel like herself too in this game. she seems more sad and she's a little rude. she's also unmotivated unlike in the first game, she did whatever she could to make it to the Fireflies. but of course, this is for the plot i assume.
    The Last of Us was the story of Joel and Ellie bonding. now Part II is just a crappy revenge story and they decide to kill off the main character. what a disappointment.    … Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. As a game this is above average. The game always gives the feeling that the world is inhabitant and the places visited feel "real". The story on the other hand always feels surreal, character making decisions they wouldn't have in the world of the previous one. The world has been in this state for 24 years. By now only those that have learned to survive, to be decisive and to be viscous, to be conserving and to be cautious are left, they are "the last of us".
    In this game Joel and Ellie have already found a place to call their home, where they do not have to cautious around everybody and can let their guard down, but they are still aware of the rest of the world and what it means to be out there as they have experienced it for most of their lives, yet they make decisions that even in their rage and blood lust seem more than out of place than ever before.
    This game has made the commitment to deconstruct Joel as much as possible and telling the player how awful he is or was, ignoring the end of the previous game telling us to decide for our selves.
    In this game Joel is not portrayed as father who cared about Ellie but as a father paranoid about what would happen to her if people found out about her immunity. In the first one Joel and Ellie chose to not talk about her "condition" and frankly were prob indifferent if people found out. There mindsets have changed just to give players the impression that Ellie is uncomfortable around Joel.
    This very much is the point i am most disappointed about and the reason i am unhappy about this game. Joel was a monster and nobody denied it, but that was what he needed to be to survive and at the end of the day he was a monster so Ellie could live, but naughty dog changed it from a Father doing anything to save his daughter to a lunatic that killed the last hope of humanity and is a bad father. The only line they delivered perfectly was when Joel was faced by Ellie and he said he would do it all over again.
