    That game is brilliant! I have seen lots of low rantings and after playing that game for such a long time - i don't understand that hate. If you look a little deeper in the things that bothered and irritated you through the gameplay - on youtube, reddit or different forums - you will see everything that you have missed and admit that that masterpiece is worth every second, penny and loveThat game is brilliant!     El juego a mi me encanto, tanto como la jugabilidad, lo grafico y la historia, en la historia hay cosas que mejorar pero a mi me gusto bastante la historia, en el gameplay es un poco tedioso en las partes de buscar loot, por lo menos en el modo superviviente es asi, pero despues en todo lo demas es increible el gameplay, lo recomiendo bastante, lo disfrute como si fuera el tlou 1 :)

I think, according to my personal experience, that the game it is not quite shocking as the first one, but it still at a high level of narrative, graphics, playability, mechanics and other features. The plot is a perfect way to "end" the game and the fact that you can play with both, Ellie and Abby makes you wonder if you were truly being a hero or just a mercenary... That makes you question your moral, maybe?? It is a complete game and it is told as it should be told.… Expand

This game was a pure masterpiece. 1)The graphics were insane, from the grass, to the water, and the clickers. 2) Gameplay, the action and combat system is a huge improvement since the first. 3) story. Yes Joel dies, and it's hard at first to play as a character that just killed a beloved person. However as the story goes on you get to see why. Joel kills her father to saveSpoilers ahead.     What an amazing game. I rate it 10/10 and no less. The second part greatly improved upon the already amazing predecessor. It added even more detailed graphics, meticulously crafted environments that look almost like real life photographs. Not only that, the story here portrays a much deeper moral, or a paradigm, that is not acceptable to everyone (because it requires deeper considerationWhat an amazing game. I rate it 10/10 and no less. The second part greatly improved upon the already amazing predecessor.     Не понимаю, почему у игры столь низкий пользовательский рейтинг. Геймплей - это та же первая часть помноженная на 10. Сюжет - просто изюминка. Однозначно игра года 10/10

    By the way, grades below 8 are unacceptable and are from people who don't understand a ****

    The best game I’ve played in a long time. Everything from the atmosphere, the gameplay and the characters.

    Naughty dog has once again managed to create story that is far from black and white while being so captivating that you feel for the characters and their choices every step of the way.     The game is just incredible!
    In addition to the improved mechanics and graphic evolution, the story makes you reflect on the consequences of the decisions you make throughout life. But it takes maturity to understand these issues.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I just finished the game last night, and I am still constantly thinking about the game. I am over 50, and play games instead of watching t.v. I have not had a game that has wow 'ed me, taken me on an emotional roller-coaster, made me really think about things instead of just running and gunning, feel for and come to understand every person directly involved in the story. I laughed out loud many times, and cried more than once.

    In the first game, I definitely identified with Joel, as I am an older straight, white, male, also. I loved that story, and understood his motivations very well. This game had me dig even deeper, and got me so involved that I connected with and, understood the motivations, and struggles of both main characters. At first I didn't really like playing as Abby, but very quickly I could empathize, and sympathize with her, and her allies. I didn't want to... but I did, and then came to care about her, and her plight. I guess I've always had a good imagination, and the game developers, cast, and director did an AMAZING job of using the "take a walk in their shoes" method.

    My wife, who is also over 50, and straight. Played this game, and absolutely LOVED it! She had to bite her tongue so many times so as not to spoil the game for me. Her comment to me about an hour after she finished the game was: "Damn.... now what am I going to do...." I mentioned new game +, and she is already 1/4 of the way through her play-through. And this is coming from a woman who typically hates reading notes in games, and would rather play multiplayer games so she can team up with me.

    TLDR: Gameplay: smoother than the first. Graphics: WOW!!!!! I was left stunned looking at some of the amazing scenery way more than I should have. Attention to detail: More detailed than the first game. Story: REALLY draws you in, as long as you have an open mind, and let the game take you where the writer wanted to.

    My completely honest opinion, is that this game is nothing but a work of art, and was much more involving than any other story driven game I have EVER played. TLOU was great, Horizon: Zero Dawn was also up there, and I could go on and on about all the games I have ever played, but I really do have to get back to work.

    I can't wait to get home tonight and start my new game+ play-through.    … Expand

I wish more video games and movies had the balls to have these kinds of twists! Naughty Dog has truly created something great and has expanded on everything from the first game, from the dark storyline to the fluid gameplay. The attention to detail isAbsolute masterpiece! Algumas pessoas estão criticando o jogo dizendo q ele está muito feminista ou lacração , bom eu acho q essas pessoas são ignorantes , só porque as duas protagonista são Girpower ? Tanto a Abby quanto a Elie bota muito protagonista homem no chinelo , isso não faz o game ser lacração faz ele ser humano pois alguém com motivação pode fazer tudo tanto homem quanto mulher . Sobre a jogabilidade está bem semelhante ao primeiro game mas muito mais refinado ou seja está perfeito .     The characters from the first game The Last of Us are completly gone and ruined. There is ZERO character development. The story is a complete piece of **** written by idiots. If you like to kill zombies you might enjoy this game.. just make sure to mute cutscenes and watch tv until you can start killing zombies again. Ignore the story completly, that way you can enjoy the mwah gameplay. Yes, the gameplay also sucks. Be ready to bash square with everything you encounter.

    The way they killed off Joel is onforgivable. It's fine that he dies, it's a harsh world. It's NOT fine to kill him off like a pig, afraid and covered in blood.

    The second Opus start strongly, bu the ending is just garbage and does not make any sense. indeed it make me sad when Ellie lost everything and that's fine, it's a strong emotion that I've felt and few games make you feel strong emotions. But the whole scenario and the decisions being made by the characters are completely empty of sense and the game failed to create the empathy towards Abby. she is even a bad human being who kills without any mercy, she had revenge for her father, but she ain't different from other smugglers who lives in this post apocalyptic world.

    I really have to admit that I really liked this game. No matter what you have heard or read, play this game for yourself. Enough is already been said about this game but in my eyes this was really a unique experience that deserves to be played. The Last of Us Part 2, is a game imposed by SONY and ND, with the intention of enriching this post-apocalyptic world by laying the foundations of the series for HBO, nobody asked for this kind of experience with graphics and animations that are extremely realistic that It differs with a very loose script that is reflected in a story with so many gaps in the plot and full of tricks that forcibly trying to manipulate you and make you believe that you are facing something great, but at the same time that you add hours of gameplay, you realize It is built in the cheapest style possible, rewarding you only with the best it has, the flashbacks.

    They present you with little elaborate characters, flat and without credible attitudes, in the end, the Studio manages to destroy Ellie, Joe and Tommy, who do not behave rationally and do not respect the personalities established in the first installment.
    Here, in her attempt to shake the audience, Abby is now with us for long hours, Joel's substitute, but written in such a disappointing and simple way that the vast majority of consumers in this beloved franchise would not care or will miss.     The history...the history is the weak point, all characters in the game are important, even more if we have here a secuel. I think Joel it's just as important as Ellie, I feel that The Last Of Us 2 is a history and that's it, history...without feelings.    … Expand

    The gameplay:
    As a casual gamer, I thoroughly enjoyed the gameplay mechanics. Compared to the first installment, TLOU2 is extremely inventive and provides endless possibilities to accomplish the same goal. There are much fewer monotonous "Go grab that ladder"-type scenarios. I've already played through the game twice and have watched while several of my friends play through it on my console, and each time I discover new details. The boss battles are much harder and more frustrating than the first one, but beating them is just that much sweeter.

    Overall, this game will be the center of discussion for a long time. The initial wave of hate will die off, and Naughty Dog will continue to be one of the top names in the industry for their groundbreaking storytelling and thoroughly enjoyable gameplay.    … Expand

From a narrative point of view, The Last of Us Part II opts for some daring prejudices, either by its realistic temporal approach which allows to highlight the difficulty of crossing such a world, or the fact of proposing a scenario particularly divider whose orientation should generate some lively debates. It is however difficult not to salute the execution, largely due to a gallery of successful characters and whose credibility is ensured by meticulous work of characterization and deepening. Cutscenes, gameplay sequences, optional exchanges or even scattered notes and documents: Naughty Dog does not neglect any support to bring depth to its scenario and its protagonists. These biases can certainly cause a few lengths, but these last demonstrate their usefulness at time of being moved by the fate of a character: without such work upstream, it is not certain that The Last of Us Part II would have managed to hit the mark with his narrative proposal.… Expand

    What can I say? The story is trash and feels more like a love triangle than a survival horror game with meaningful characters that you can grow attached to. The graphics are fluid and the best I have ever seen on the PS4 but the directors must have been smoking something REAL good when deciding to take the story in this direction.

    The game makes me very uncomfortable with the young lesbian scenes. Majority of the game is playing with the enemy who you don’t want to play with. The back and forth switching to present to past was just awful. Did JJ abrams direct this game too? Star Wars:the last Jedi, last season of game of thrones, not this trash game. What a waste of money and time!! Hot garbage

    The Last of Us is a beautiful, immersive, emotionally compelling story, with visceral, high intensity gameplay. Unfortunately none of that holds a candle to the disappointment of the story. There are many complaints that can be said about Joel's death at the beginning of the game. It's unnecessary, it paints Joel out of character, etc. but that's not even the biggest thing that irks me about this game. What infuriates me the most is that half way through the game we abandon our stance as Ellie on a warpath for revenge, and pick up as Abby for THE REST OF THE GAME.

    Now don't get me wrong, Abby as an isolated character is fine. However, the game sets you up to play as Ellie on her mission for revenge, then halfway through, they pull the rug out from under you and force you to play as the person you hate the most. This is done in such a manner that so blatantly and oppressively FORCES empathy down your throat. Abby is really just a sweet girl who loved her father. She's accepting of all her friends, she loves dogs, hell she even has a romance plot. This perfectly mirrors Ellie's plot of revenge and killing by making Abby look infinitely more like a real protagonist.

    Instead of giving us an immersive emotional experience as Ellie getting revenge and closure, we're met with this wild rollercoaster of a journey that goes so far as to force us to fight our beloved Ellie as Abby. If that isn't insulting enough, the game has such a headstrong focus on the idea of "VIOLENCE BAD" that it derails the entire plot. Every time you kill an enemy, one of their teammates shouts out their name in grief, same with dogs. Ellie is painted as an absolute monster for killing off members of what is essentially a glorified terrorist organization, in search of the woman who killed her father figure. Sounds reasonable to me. This pacifist perspective is held so rigidly that the game ends in a pointless stalemate of Ellie just letting Abby walk away, after losing everything.

    I see this as the biggest bout of disrespect to the playerbase. It wasn't enough that they killed off our favorite character, then made us play as his killer while forcing the message that "shes not a bad person!" At the conclusion of the game, Abby and Lev go free to live out their lives, and Ellie is left maimed and alone. She lost a friend, a father, a partner, even a child at this point. This whole journey was for nothing and leave our main character broken. All for what? The message that revenge is bad?

    I could go on and on about how Abby is such a poorly written character, displayed in a way to force so much misplaced empathy from the player. I could complain that Abby's revenge mission is ultimately more petty than Ellie's, seeing as how her father worked for a terrorist organization and was basically going to murder a child without any consent. I could complain that the game was nothing but virtue signaling and trying to appeal to a holier-than-thou audience. Above all I'm just disappointed that Neil Druckmann did Ellie, Joel, and all of the fans dirty with this game.

    If you didn't play the first game, this is an intense and emotionally draining rollercoaster ride. If you played the first game and loved Joel and Ellie, this will only be a big middle finger to you.

    This rant doesn't even begin to contain all my thoughts on this game, but I know it's likely nobody will read this anyway so I'll stop here. Congratulations Neil on your best selling game and all of it's focus on what you think are perfect societal issues to sidetrack your game with. I'll be replaying the first game to try to block out this nightmare and remind myself what a compelling story with lovable characters really is.

    P.S. It's a dick move to include Joel in a trailer implying that he's with us throughout the game, only to flip the script on us and replace him with a side character for the actual game. **** yall.    … Expand

    BUT NOW, was it the game i was waiting for 7 years? HELL NO, was it the game any of the fans were expecting for? HELL NO you can call me biased blind or whatever but after i finished PART 2 i went straight back to replay the FIRST PART and oh my was it a different experience, YES the gameplay itself
    feels more clunkier than PART 2, YES the graphics (animations included) are not as good as PART 2 but
    everything else? SO MUCH BETTER.

    Everybody knows the first game story and the relationship between Ellie and Joel and how they built it,
    What i really enjoyed about the game after playing PART 2 is the inbetween, The small little parts, Ellie telling jokes to Joel, Trying to whistle throughout the game, finding comic books and listening to the little dialog when you find them, Ellie's reaction when Joel kills an enemy and much more,, Those little details what made the game 10/10 for me . They did try to give us that with Abby and Lev but yeah it didn't work for me because i couldn't care less about Abby.

    TLOU2 story was all over the place and not what the fans of the first game wanted.
    If it was a standalone game i would rate it 8/10 but because it's a sequel with a story that no one wanted

El juego es perfecto y no habría que cambiarle nada. Y si habría que cambiar algo son LOS DESARROLLADORES QUIENES ELIGEN ESTO POR QUE ELLOS SON LOS DUEÑOS DE LOS PERSONAJES. Nos dieron un juego que habla de lo psicológico, de como una persona se rompe, de como la venganza no lleva a nada. Y el final que todos dicen que hubiera terminado en la granja les digo que no era posible. Ellie quedó con un trauma post traumático , no podía ni comer ni dormir ni estar a obscuras.     Honestly, I wasn’t a huge fan of the first. It was one of the first PS3 games I can remember buying. I kept waiting for some sort of transcendent moment to happen during my playthrough but one never did. Many others disagreed, and The Last of Us is now cited as among the best games of all time. At first I wasn’t planning on playing the sequel. However, after seeing the leaks, the excessive DMCA takedowns, and the controversy surrounding certain plot elements I was starting to get intrigued. Since there are no new movies coming out, The Last of Us Part II is the closest 2020 has to a proper summer blockbuster, so why wouldn’t I want to play the hot new game and give my take on it?

    While the original was a relatively linear plotline, Part II has a considerably more complex narrative structure. On paper, the storyline is brilliant, as it asks us to consider the consequences of violence and the multiple sides to every story. What one person may see as justified is a heinous act in another person’s eyes. It asks us to look beyond mere notions of people being “good” or “evil”. However, the way in which the game goes about exploring this is suspect, to say the least. The story is leaden with so many flashbacks, parallel events, and perspective shifts that the story is at times difficult to follow and the pacing suffers. Since The Last of Us Part II can no longer rely on the shock of a new franchise, this kind of storytelling feels like trying to compensate for having to be a sequel. The only option is to go bigger, louder, messier, gorier, and raunchier, and not every idea is a good one. It’s also a hefty game in terms of its length, clocking in at anywhere from 25-30 hours. It’s by far the longest game Naughty Dog has ever made.

    The Last of Us Part II does not offer a dramatic departure in gameplay from its predecessor, yet its tone and themes couldn’t be more different. Part II tells one of the medium’s most ambitious stories to date, but boy is it messy. It’s the messy and sprawling nature that makes it a fascinating game, though definitely not a masterpiece like most critics claim. It’s too deliberately imperfect and misshapen for that. It’s the kind of game that for better or worse will have people debating its story decisions for months, if not years to come, and it’s bound to be a cultural lightning rod given the lack of new movies coming this year.

Jackson was so rich and nicely designed just to never be seen again. Would have traded Abby's playtime for playing through Ellie's "raging about the true" and bounding with other people like Dina.     I enjoyed the game but i give it a 7 because when playing as Abby all i wanted was to get back as playing Ellie and that is not necessarily part of what she did but more likely i did not actually care for her story arc.

    I finished The Last of Us part II exactly 4 times and never once got bored. The game is seriously a masterpiece. Everyone says that the game is terrible, the story is awful, but I can say whoever says what is the best game ever. The game definitely deserves ten points. And I definitely recommend everyone to play.

It is pretty ridiculous that so many bad reviews are being given because of Joel’s death, even though he was quite a controversial character himself and, come on, that’s 20+ years of a post-apocalyptic world were vengeance is the norm.

    I went through the game once and will pass it again and again .... for me there are practically no minuses !!! the game is beautiful !!! This game is a work of art !!!

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Tiene buenos gráficos, jugabilidad y le doy puntos por eso. Pero lo más importante para un juego es la historia, y su desarrollo, y la historia de este juego es una completa falta de respeto a todos los fans q estubieron esperando por este juego. Independiente de la muerte de Joel la historia es forzada y mal contada. El escritor decidió probar algo nuevo que bien contado y escrito hubiera funcionado. Pero termina siendo un desagrado completamente. Primero arruinaron el personaje de Joel y su personalidad del primer juego, sin decir que toda la química que tubo con ellie fue tirada a la basura. No merecía una muerte noble claramente pero no había que hacerlo tan forzada, q va a pasar en el próximo juego el padre de un npc q matamos al principio va a venir a vengarse de ellie? Es muy estúpido. Segundo, como esque se les vino a la cabeza intentar forzar empatizar con un personaje que claramente nadie quiere jugar, todos odian a abby y nadie quiere ser jugar con ella. Y bueno almenos jugar con ella pero 1 hora o 2 no 10 horas del maldito juego. Y además en el primer enfrentamiento de ellie contra abby. Es una mierda tener que jugar como abby. Almenos perder y dar el mensaje del final ahí mismo pero perdiendo jugando como ellie, no como un personaje recién incluido. Y porque después de todo eso lo alargaron demasiado con una parte en santa barbara innecesaria y la q más rabia da, después de risa la matanza de ellie decide no matar a la asesina de su padre adoptivo, como esque el escritor no de da cuenta de la mierda que había escrito. Es una completa mierda este juego y espero que Neil fñdruckman renuncie.… Expand

    Лучшая графика в индустрии, лучшие анимации, лучший экшен что мне довелось видеть в играх, приятный стэлс, наконец то он приятный, еще не КОдзима, но уже и не остальные жалкие потуги из иных игр.Максимально залипательный геймплэй, эксплоринг наконец то работает, прошлая часть сильно страдала именно в плане геймплэя, тут же они все углубили и поправили, так что если вам зашел первый ЛастЛучшая графика в индустрии, лучшие анимации, лучший экшен что мне довелось видеть в играх, приятный стэлс, наконец то он приятный, еще не КОдзима, но уже и не остальные жалкие потуги из иных игр.Максимально залипательный геймплэй, эксплоринг наконец то работает, прошлая часть сильно страдала именно в плане геймплэя, тут же они все углубили и поправили, так что если вам зашел первый Ласт игра должна зайти, она намного лучше, да и если первый вам был скучен то тут такой проблемы уже нет… Expand

    The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

    Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
