И я его понимают, когда в американском обществе во главе институтов стоят такие вот дракманы, - надеяться на адекватность в искусстве не приходится, будет сплошная грязь. Игра не достойна ничего, растереть и забыть, а деньги потратить на что-нибудь другое.

Beautiful to look at but other then that just a horrible disappointment, weak story which just got progressively worse as game progressed. Unlike the original it left no mark on me but indifference. All the subtle nuance of the original replaced with a simplistic viciousness. It's so blatantly obvious & repetitive with it's message & themes. Treats it's audience like dumb 9 year olds. Overall just a big let down from what should of been a great end to PS4. Thank god for Cyberpunk & CDProjektRed! Oh and Ghost of Tsushima.

SPOILER: i really didn't like being forced to play half the game as the killer of one of my favourite 2 characters from the first game. Not sure why developers thought any fan of the original would be OK with that. I mean we loved the original & it's 2 antagonists. Truly feel in love with them & their story so this felt like a kick in the teeth & almost a mockery & disrespect to the player base.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This game sucks and here's why. Joel dies. If this is your 1st time entering the game. I won't blame ya for liking it because you don't know the story. For those who played the 1st part, we have cared and fell in love with the characters we played. We were invested in them. Like when you worked hard on a project and they are like your children. would you want to tear down your work or let others do it? Most probably not, but naughty dog did. they killed your hard work. they killed their first game. Just like that, they had no love for their work and decide its their kid they can kill it if they want. For those who actually like the game because you say its just a game. I say, ok i will accept that answer. But you probably have no soul or have no gamer soul because apparently you did not invest any feeling towards what you played. This game is a story based game. so if you can't love your story that means you didn't put any soul into your game. Worst storytelling ever, the game mechanic is identical to the 1st which means... no improvements. In the end, this game ruins your believes of wanting to be a good person. Because it leaves you scared for life and there is no redemption for our child who we cared for. She was left lonely... no family to called her own... and leaves so much anger in you that you would swear next time if it was you and for your family future... You will CLEAN UP and ties up loose ends. Or 1 day, that might be what ends up for you and your family :)

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The Last of Us 1 is one of my most favorite games ever and imo one of the best narrative experiences ever put on screen. While TLOU's story and gameplay were great, it was Joel and Ellie themselves that made The Last of Us a true masterpiece. You see, the core of The Last of Us isn't the zombies or the violence or even the gameplay itself. The core of the Last of Us is and always will be Joel and Ellie despite what Naughty Dog and all these pseudo game critics want you to believe.

Joel, one of the best fictional characters that I've ever seen, is completely disrespected and cast aside in favor of a new character named Abby. At this point, everyone and their mother's **** has heard of Abby and what she does to Joel. Not only does she kill Joel but she bashes his brains in with a golf club in front of Ellie, and Abby's associate (who is just a stand in for Neil Druckmann) spits on Joel's corpse, and this all happens towards the start of the game.

Right off the bat, its clear that Naughty Dog has lost their way and forgot what drew the fans to TLOU in the first place. or maybe they just didn't give a **** TLOU 2 wants to make it very clear that Joel is a piece of **** who deserved death because he killed a lot of people but I think that actively goes against what the first game was going for. TLOU 1 showed us a world in which people cast aside notions of right and wrong and put survival above all else, Joel being one of those people. It told a complex narrative and presented complex characters who were neither good or bad but HUMAN.
TLOU 2 yeets all that **** out the window and just says that Joel is a piece of **** who doomed humanity and we should actively root for Abby (It doesn't help that Abby is so ****ing unlikable).

TLOU 2 wants the player to realize the cycle of violence is bad but none of this applies to Abby, who gets away with EVERYTHING. So Ellie murders countless people just to get to Abby but once she finally has the chance to kill her, she just has an abrupt realization that violence and revenge is a big no no so Abby gets to walk away.

_Joel character doesn't act in correlation with is traits from the first game; and get killed because it was needed in the story. That bad piece of writing happens after only 2 hours..

_First half of the game makes the player forget a little bit about that dumb-Joel nonsense until the game makes you play as the character you hate, the one who killed Joel.. 10 hours of boring redondent gameplay with characters you don't care about , hoping for a final revenge..

_Revenge which doesn't even happen as the player is deprived of that choice during one of the most ridiculous endings I've ever seen.

I think this was supposed to be the game of this generation but it’s mildly a gameplay improvement compared to the first game and a story disaster. The SJW elements actually make the story boring to the long term fans even though it’s not the main issue imo. The story is weak a priori with little character development and backbone. The gameplay is the main issue nevertheless. The game is barely more fun than the first game with 2 major problems: 1) long boring walks that can’t be fixed after the first playthrough, 2) the game forces you in boring explorations as key objects are hidden in large optional area. The latter reduces the fun and makes it possible to skip significant things that if missed create frustration. In the end, the first game remains superior both story wise, character development and gameplay and the second is definitely not the game of this generation. With these budgets you expect the directors to be brilliant and life touching but I guess Kojima is the only man right now who is able to do it. Suggestion: lower the budgets as you are not able to have decent triple A and focus on gameplay rather than story as you are very weak on the latter. Expand

We are not going to love a character if the character does something abhorrent and personal to us straight away. I won't spoil the game but beloved characters are killed off in ways that are insulting and there is no pay off at the end. The game tries to desperately show human emotions and problems but this isn't a fun experience to have to sit through. No character is treated with dignity or justice and the inclusivity of the LGBTQ ideals is chalked up to the entirety of Ellie's character. The gameplay is very good, they have upgraded the one presented in the first game and made coll addition, the actors really do a great job in the way they express the characters scenes and graphics of this game are top 3 of games that were released in the ps4 era. Those are the good things about the game.
But what is really sad is the writhing for this game. Joel's death was done in a stupid and lazy way, forced for the story to continue. Using the argument that he stayed in the community left him "less suspicious" is inconsistent, it is not because he spent 4 years in a community that made him "forget" with the outside world. He has experienced many things during 24 years of survival, and knows what human beings are like in the outside world. He would be just as suspicious as before, as he now patrols a community, so his instincts would be the same in the first game.
Another point was that everything was very convenient during the scene, because exactly at the moment when Abby will almost be killed by the infected, Joel saved her from that situation at the last minute, and he and Tommy went straight to meet her group, and being comfortable in their presence during the scene, besides Joel being in the middle of the room, surrounded.

The game was sold as an adventure by Joel and Ellie again, the trailers were even edited to think about it, and at no time did we see Abby in any of the trailers. the company knew that the public would not like to hear that the story would be about Ellie and Joel's murderer, Abby. We don't wait 7 years for that.
Even showing the background of Abby losing her father, to feel sympathy for the character, it did not convince most players, as well as me, because Abby is a psychopath, and here are examples of how the game shows her with her actions in her darkest moments:

1 - Shoot the knee of a man who saved her moments ago, using a golf club to beat and torture him for a considerable time, and kill him in front of a girl who is begging for his life.
2 - After discovering that Dinah is pregnant, she doesn't think twice before trying to cut her throat, just not committing the act because Lev prevented her.
3 - Cheating on her friend Mel (who was pregnant) having sex with Owen, and showing zero remorse.

Ellie, at similar times, shows much more humanization in her reactions:
1 - Upon hearing Nora offend Joel, she beats her in a brutal way (also to have information about Abby), and moments later, she is totally shaken after that event.
2 - After killing Mel and discovering she was pregnant, Ellie has a panic attack, falling to the ground and hyperventilating, showing herself completely traumatized and making it clear to the player that she would not have killed her if she had known this before.
3 - Ellie apologizes to Jesse about kissing Dinah, and the relationship begins without containing a betrayal.

There are a lot of plot holes in the game, such as Tommy letting the map in the floor so that, in the narrative, Abby would find it.

In the end, Part II had a great potential to be one of the best sequels of a game, but fails miserable in the story telling of such a beautiful story that was the first game.

Pero tenía que pasar mas de la mitad del juego jugando con Abby? Y en sima me hacen usarla para pelear con ellie! Como lo odie, yo simplemente no hize nada y deje que Ellie la matará. Absolutely unbelievable,

I've been bragging about the Last Of Us for the past 7 years. I remember the night the first game came out, the emotions, the art style. This game originally had it all! What happened to this franchise?

The last of us games have always been about the story in my opinion. It has beautiful graphics and nice gameplay similar to the first game, but this cannot hide or mask the huge flaws of the story. I’m not trying to spoil anything, but I would like to stop anyone from buying this game if they are like me and had a burning passion for the story of the first game.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. So disappointing, The last of us is one of my favorite, if not my favorite game of all time. So for me to see what has happened with the story, which i believe the first game has one of the best stories in all of entertainment media, is so disgusting. It feels as if the writers wanted to force upon us an agenda that none of us were asking for. It didn't matter that the characters are gay, trans, or otherwise to me. I was disappointed with the story, which i waited 5 years for. Sure the opinion of whether the story is good or not is subjective but the way things happen and the way that certain characters act uncharacteristically is so stupid. The fact that after abby kills joel the only thing and i mean the ONLY thing us the player would want is to kill her, we have to play as her for 10 HOURS, WHAT!? How did that get through 7+ years of development and they said "yeah thats great, leave that in there they'll never see it coming" Of course we wouldn't, its the dumbest thing that anyone could write. D&D would be able to come up with a better story and you all know how GOT is in season 8. And the cherry on top of this **** sundae, is you finally find abby as ellie, you have her literal throat in your hands and you let her go!? Because revenge is bad!? Even though abby had a **** revenge spree the whole game and she gets off SCOT FREE!? BUT REVENGE IS BAD!?!?! I haven't been this disappointed in a story since the last jedi and im not even that big of a star wars fan. Just because its subversive doesn't make it a good story. I feel like all of my favorite IP's are just getting butchered by these agendas that have NOTHING to do with it. When are creators going to learn that the more you try to force what YOU think we should believe in, the less we care about it. There is a way to do it, do i know which way is the best, no but i know this aint it chief. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This game feels like it was poorly written and it should never deserve high praise for anything besides the fact that it did put a spotlight on the LGBT community as a positive thing but my main problem with this entire game is the fact that it's supposed to be a revenge story but the only person that got revenge for what they were trying to get revenge for was the person that everyone is hating on even though there's nothing really to hate on her for yes she's not aesthetically pleasing or that much of a relevant character in anything of what we've had and the fact that they killed off from Joel and how they did it was subpar at best and we should never try to say that this game is worth the money that it is asking for because there are major plot holes in the entire game and Ellie from the first game feels non existence her character drive or ark feels small she has no effect on me at all and that sucks because I was such a big fan of the first game yes this entire thing of zombies really scares me and it's a good thing that it does because I play the game simply for the story because I love the fact that Joel was able to redeem being a father in the first one and somewhat of it in the second game which is okay but still they should have went with his death a little different they should have actually killed Abby because without those revenge I don't know this game is just terrible and it should never get anything but a bombed review because it destroyed the legacy of The last of Us and you should never even attempt to try to pick up this game because you'll be wasting your money and wasting your time Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I think first time I heard about this game in 2016. Back then one designer works for Naughty dog, writes hers linkedin page about the design of Ellie. Like she was 4-5 year older than the first game. After that I heard a rumor, something like "Joel is dying". I just like I hope it won't happen. When the first trailer comes up, when I heard Joel's voice I was in relief.

I pre-ordered the game in October 2019, game delayed after again again. Then Sony decided to give our money back without asking. I was like "wtf, I can wait, why the hell are you giving the money back". After I got my money back I watch the latest trailers. I was expecting a couple of things like more black people and more gay/lesbian/transexual etc. because that is the new trend. That is ok for me.

I just re-pre-order the game again, waiting to download and open its lock. I played it 3 days, it took almost 30 hours. I cried in the scenes like Joel's death, Tommy's got shot and Ellie's barn scene.

I played the first game in both ps3 and ps4. I bought all dlc's in ps3, all finished it. Also I'm collecting the trophies of the games, so I finished it on Grounded mode etc.

After I played a lot of times, Ellie is like a daughter to me. While I played the dlc's, I feel like Joel is a father to me.

Comes to the game again, Killing my father, I will begin my revenge with my friends and my uncle. Doing that my uncle got crippled, my friend is dead. I killed almost everybody, but not the main character. So I decided to go back, living with my lover and her son. After everything seems settled, crippled uncle comes to me and said he found the main character. I decided to go hundred of kilometers to find the character, almost killed couple of times.

In the end, decided to not to get her revenge. That is because she can see Joel good in her dreams back. That isn't a storytelling, that is something like Stephen King movie. Everything is good, but ending is soooo bad so it ruins almost everything.

I give that score for music, athmosphere etc.

Last note to Neil Druckmann, when you say something, you need to keep behind it. When the people talks about the overpowered girl, you said "we don't wanna sexualize the women". But in the game that very character get **** literally. In that scene we can see Owen's **** is bigger than hers.

People who played the game know that yes it's beautiful technologically and the acting is great, but being realistic the story is bad. The story changes an important character trait of Joel just so they could kill him off. We all expected him to die, but a death scene should feel earned, not happen because the writers couldn't think of a reasonable way to kill him in context. They didn't flesh out any of the new characters well and besides Abby, who is shown a lot but lacks proper humanization. Apparently, by telling me that a person has friends and a dog I should immediately feel bad for them, like did they not expect me to think she also is a typical human?? They treat the player like they don't understand much without explanation, and then at the end, they add info that you should have known the entire game (Ellie knew the entire time but we conveniently aren't told despite playing her) for an emotional blow. In the end, it feels like a good idea that was ruined by cop-outs and bad writing techniques. Not to mention the fact the game is specifically made to make you feel bad which as expert game designer Reggie says, "If it's not fun why bother" In the end, you play as Ellie who's okay with brutally murdering everyone who hasn't done anything wrong and decides to stop by the time she gets to the person who deserves her rage. The game just feels like they had a point but no idea how to get it across. Expand

The story sucks. Really. For the first 10 hours I had a lot of hope for it. I lost if all during the next 10 hours and forced myself to finish the game for the rest of time.
The problem is that you don’t get to care about the new characters, you don’t empathise with anyone but Ellie... this is SO not the level of deep character creation I remember from the first game, where you would actually feel for others not just Joel and Ellie. The ending is just... disappointing.
Don’t get me wrong: there were great things as well, they were just so few compared to other less “generous” moments of storytelling.

The gameplay has improved incredibly since the first game though: the combat is outstanding and the game is so very enjoyable to play. If I could forget about the story, that the game just doesn’t deliver, than I would totally rate TLOU Part II a solid 9/10.
But I care about the story. So it gets 4/10. Shame.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Going in with a huge bias for the franchise, Naughtydog has completely averted my expectations and made a shallow, meaningless and overall embarrassing follow up to one of the greatest games of this generation. Firstly Joel’s death was a given seeing as though the game is a revenge story so this was never a problem. but the way it was handled was completely disrespectful, seeing our favourite character, half of the heart of the franchise, killed for an ultimately pointless story hurts. The implementation of Abby’s 12 hour story line plays as padding for a longer playtime. Her slog of a story progressed nothing and is a back and forth mission for characters that are impossible to be connected too. This all leads to a ending the would not have stuck with me even if everything was handeled correctly. Naughtydog has successfully shat on a masterpiece and nosedived the crown jewel Playstation exclusive into the mud. They should be ashamed of themselves. That’s just my opinion though. Your all entitled to your own. Hope you enjoyed the game more than i did. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The problem with this game isn't that it is "too depressing". You can make a depressing story that makes sense and makes you like it. I was unable to complete it (it is so bad), instead I've read the plot summary. And you know what? No matter how I looked at it, I felt that the whole plot was very very familiar to something I've read before. If you think that the problem of this game is that "they changed the writer", I wouldn't be so sure about it. The thing is, I have a hunch that the first game was a copypasta of some another, less-known (in the west) story. But let's talk about TLOU2. There is a certain, currenlty untranslated, Japanese visual novel by the name Soukou Akki Muramasa. In the prologue of the game protagonist is a certain high-schooler who tries to investigate the death of his friend. At the end of the prologue, he is suddenly killed by a detective who solved the crime and who the boy considered a hero. Fake protagonist killed after a few hours of the game, sounds familiar? Also, revenge and the preciousness of human life is the main theme of the game. The difference is - Soukou Akki Muramasa actually makes you relate to the "villain protagonist" for real, to understand his reasoning and life philosophy. He isn't a cold-blooded killer, he is a person who is forced into his circumstances, a person who kills with his eyes wet from tears and heart wrenching from pain. A very deep and complex character, one of the best protagonists ever. In comparison, Abby...well, she is just trash. At the end of Soukou Akki Muramasa, the protagonist would be forced to make a choice. To kill an evil man for the sake of revenge, or not to. And as it is a visual novel, you will be given an actual choice. By choosing not to kill you actually get a true end. Sounds familiar? But the difference is - the protagonist of Muramasa wouldn't kill the man not because "killing is so bad", but because he understands his own sins, he realized that a person as sinful as he is has no right to seek revenge. It is very deep, very touching, and emotionally impactful. What I want to say here is that The Last of Us Part II tries to tell you the story that actually could be pretty good if done right, but it fails miserably. Moreover, it goes against the expectations of those people who loved the first game. If the first and the second games were actually written by the same person then I can be pretty much sure that he is just a copywriter who got lucky with his first attempt, but not so lucky with the second. And now I'd rather flush my fking 250 bucks right into the toilet AFTER FINISHING THE GMAE. The story is a piece of sh*t and does not make any sense. And fans are totally entitled to be angry about it. Neil was doing everything that he could to make people like Abby and hate Ellie. Guess what? None of these worked. When I reached to the point where I was forced to play as Abby for nearly 10 hours, I was so confused. I don’t give a single sh*t ABOUT ABBY’S BACKSTORY! Abby is still an unlikeable character, let alone the other new characters that were created with no depth what so ever. How dare you Neil Druckmann, to take everything that I love about the first game, twist it, and make it just a social message of your own. To think forcing play to let Abby go in the end was a genius move, it just shows how untalented and incompetent he is as a writer. It's a shame that Druckmann is using LGBTQ as a cover to hide just how much an untalented writer he is. LGBTQ groups should be offended because they were just used like tools by Neil Druckmann. Well, here's my message to you, Druckmann, doesn't matter how much power was given to you, an untalented writer will always be an untalented writer.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. So what does it take for a game to receive a perfect zero?

Allow me to elaborate. A perfect zero is when a game is so devoid of awareness of it's predecessor, that it completely revokes any themes, character development, symbolism, or motives of not only itself but also the previous franchise title. It shoots itself in the foot, and in doing so, pointlessly murders the previous game that is crushed under its boot. The story of The Last of Us left us with a comfort of where our characters were, what they believed in, what they lived for, how they loved each other. On that note, they also established their skills, their abilities, their instincts. All of these were shattered in Part II. Joel is no longer attentive and assertive, Ellie is no longer endearingly sensitive, the characters become horrible shadows of what made them strong in the first game. And what do we get for it? Nothing. The game's linear storytelling riddled with plot holes and glaring pandering stereotypes leave us dumbfounded at what we just put ourselves through. It leaves us heartbroken, and it shows us exactly how much time we just wasted. It doesn't leave resolution, it doesn't fix any issues, it's not cohesive, it doesn't abide by anything fulfilling. It's is a plate of burnt crust when what you asked for was a sublime pizza with all the toppings. The most glaringly obvious problem with this game is how much they definitively changed to try and be different. It's deliberate, it's insulting, it's pandering to the completely wrong audience. It's unaware, it's foolish, and it doesn't even retain the sense of fear that the first game thrives on. The moment Joel dies, the game was no longer interesting, because that's who made the story interesting. Joel. His ability to survive, his struggle, his mentorship, his morals, his values, his selfishness. He died a so easily it was not even believable. So then where are we?

In a messy cross between the worst parts of the plots of Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, and John Wick, we are given nothing, no retribution, no justice, no feeling of accomplishment. Only a feeling of disappointment. This is capitalizing on the trend of sadness which was popular about 5 years ago. Too little, too late. In the time of a pandemic, civil unrest, and injustice we escape to a world of terrible pacing, threadbare character development, no progression, and we feel more sad. This is not rewarding. This is not pleasure. This is not a video game. It is a poorly written novel that would be lost to time in any other format. It's a fool's errand and it should rot for eternity.

In the sequel, Neil Druckmann made revenge and retribution main themes of the game. However, notion that violence begets only further violence isn't groundbreaking in storytelling. It corresponds to Druckmann's writing style: "simple story, complex characters". In spite of this, I believe that there are only two well written personages, whose goals and motivation are perfectly explained: Abby and Tommy. It's hard to compare Yara and Lev to Sam and Henry, since the first pair has got far more screen time. As for the rest of the characters, such as Dina, Jesse, Owen, Mel, Manny and Nora I didn't feel a lot of emotional investment in them. Nevertheless, as far as I am concerned, the biggest drawback of the sequel is its plot. I want to highlight two moments, which were the most controversial for me. The first one is the ambush in the hotel, where Abby told Ellie that WLF let her and Tommy live and they "wasted it", because this duo killed Abby's friends. However, this scene is built on the false premise: Ellie asked all of the aforementioned people to tell her Abby's location and everyone refused and tried to kill her instead. The second plot twist that devastated me was final fight between Abby and Ellie. The fact that Ellie forgives her enemy and allows her to escape was supposed to show Ellie's character growth, it meant to be a parallel to her attempt to forgive Joel and also she saw Abby as the last protector of Lev, whereas the same could be applied to her and Joel in the first game. Whilst I think that it's a wonderful idea, it diminishes the values of nearly a hundred individuals Ellie killed on her revenge quest. The vast majority of these people were not directly related to Joel's execution, but they paid with their lives. On the other hand, the person, who organized this operation is shown mercy. In my opinion there are two ways to faithfully deliver following idea. Firstly, allow Ellie to eliminate Abby and Lev, then show that now she is hunted by Lev's death too and Dina abandons her. In this scenario, Ellie will have her revenge, but there will be no satisfaction from it. Furthermore, she will be alone and the audience knows it's her greatest fear. Second option is to let Ellie live in the farm with Dina nurturing JJ, yet she still suffers from PTSD and has to struggle to live peacefully, since Ellie is afraid that sooner or later the violence will erupt again. This gets a 1 because the graphics are good and some of the music fits certain moments. That is the only thing I can praise about this game. That is the only thing I can praise about this game. There are times where items that the characters bring directly into their face and up to the camera take a minute to pop in the correct textures so even the graphics are hindered in ways. The music has some very bland tracks and completely feels out of touch at moments where they think the audience should be feeling one way, but almost no one is. Apart from those obviously OK things this game is incredibly bad and poorly directed. The characters act nothing like you would expect them to or what they acted like previously. All the somewhat interesting or likable characters are thrown out of the narrative and everyone else left is unappealing at best, including the two protagonists. They make decisions that even a child would know is a bad one and then reverse that when the writers deem it convenient for a "message". A message should not exist at the expense of strong, reliable characterization and a cohesive, interesting plot. Everyone I have heard from or seen play this game has found the story confusing (due to random flashbacks within flashbacks seemingly placed in particular spots for no reason), uninteresting (to the point of not wanting to continue, changing difficulties to get through it faster, etc.), and has relayed that they felt completely disappointed in every single plot thread that was shown any serious screen time. The gameplay is better than the first but no one was praising the first for it's generic gameplay either. It feels average at best here, being just another, of the hundred or so, third-person, narrative focused Sony exclusives. If everything but the graphics and music is mediocre or worse why is this even a game? Just make a slideshow presentation with stock music in the background, at least that wouldn't have disappointed so many people and made even more lose faith in Naughty Dog as a competent developer.

    Overall:
    Graphics - 8/10
    Music - 5/10
    Gameplay - 4/10
    Characters - 0/10
    Story - 0/10

If a developer made a really good looking model of a pile of **** with generic music playing in the background then asked me to play it for 25 hours and wanted my thoughts on their "game" I would give it a 0/10 but these devs actually thought their pile of **** was special and seriously worked on it thinking it was special and had a message, so for that I can boost it up a point. I'm feeling generous, but the vast majority of people who finish this game won't be as kind, and they shouldn't need to be. Stop deleting negative reviews and stopping others from being posted. If you're going to double check random low scores you should be doing the same with random high scores, but seeing the lack of moral fiber from previous instances involving this site, and reviewers in general, I doubt that will happen. Don't buy this game.

A firm smack to the face of the original. They kill core characters right off the bat to create shock and then give you an awful story.

Graphics is good. The gameplay is good, bit better than first one. The story is bad. I played the first like 6 times but I don't think I'd replay the part 2 again.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This game is a scam. People paid for their favorite characters and what they get is just full of non logic bs. Plot of this game is 0/0. Don't even try to use Joel’s death cover up your bad storytelling skill. This game literally has no character development. Wish I can get a refund. Expand

The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.

If you loved the original for its great characters and well-paced story – stay away from this game. However, if you’re aching to sink into the depths of depression, or just want to cut some throats and burn some zombies – Part II will deliver. [Issue#247, p.72]
