    If you loved the TLOU, you will be very disappointed playing TLOU2. You are not allowed to control the choices being made at critical points in the game. The game takes control of your actions at those critical points and makes it feel more like an interactive movie than a game. TLOU2 also forces you to feel something for characters that you don't give two sh*ts about. The constantIf you loved the TLOU, you will be very disappointed playing TLOU2. The constant flash backs for those characters plus the inability to skip those scenes makes the game drag on in agony. Lastly, the story being told came at the expense of dumbing down the original characters to the point that they were completely out of character. There were so many plot holes that it gave me flash backs of the last season of GoT. The ending just leaves you thinking "uh ok, really? what a waste of my time"

    The graphics and game play was great, but in my humble opinion its not worth your time. This game is a glorified over hyped polished turd. I wanted to love this game so bad and gave it a lot of thought before posting this review. The developers try so hard to manipulate how you feel in this game that it just comes across as deceptively cringy at best. I strongly believe a game should let the player decide for themselves at critical moments in the storyline and have a choice to act and feel the way they interpret the story. The Witcher3 is a great example of this choice given to the players at critical moments.    … Expand

Mas quem for jogar tenha em mente que esse jogo é bem diferente do primeiro, abordando temas polêmicos como politica e religião, alem de uma narrativa extremamente pesada e melancólica, causando um sentimento muito diferente do que tivemos no TLOU1.     1. What's wrong about having a lesbian protagonist? A transgender character? or a strong buff woman like Abby? Nothing because representation matters.

    2. THAT scene in the first few hours. The point was to have Ellie & the player witness a brutal event for what happens afterwards which is the pursuit of revenge. It was the consequence to Part 1's ending and it was executed in a disrespectful way? on some level yes but this is TLOU, a unforgiving world where you're just surviving. He was acting out of character? Well it has been 5 years since settling in Jackson and patrols are to clear out the area and recruit new survivors? He isn't a smuggler anymore and people change.

    3. Bad/Lazy Writing: On my playthrough I failed to notice any of it. Nothing off and do you know Neil Druckmann is brilliant as he wrote Part 1 but also Uncharted 4 which also became the best one since 2?

    4. False Advertising? That is normal in this type of media along with Films to avoid spoilers so yes it is misleading but doesn't you should trust it. The leaks were unfortunate but it was proven to be by a Hacker and not some angry employee.

    5. Crunch: Yes crunch is also usual but this time almost everyone was passionate about making it that even tho the Director told them to not work so hard, they continued by their choice.

    6. The Ending: IMO I thought it was a fitting way to end the journey & I doubt after playing 10+ Hours as Abby and going through change with her Redemption Arc was gonna end up with her fate which was actually the original ending but I'm glad ND changed it as it is more open for a possible Part 3.

    7. Ruined the Franchise? it has been said years ago that Part 1 Fans aren't going to like this. This story was worth telling because it was a concept landed on and also continues the Ending from Part 1 which is the reason this is called Part 2. The character flashbacks did it justice especially the museum. Ellie in part 1 really wanted a meaningful death but finds out the truth so the flashbacks show the worst of times and the best moments. How was it ruined? lol

    8. Paid Shills? Critics gave a good score because it was their own review. I even hear that being paid off to give a good score is even illegal.

    9. User scores tell a different story. 5/10 = not accurate, Metacritic still hasn't implemented a way to verify if you own something so this was review bombed even the second the game released. Impossible to finish. It's true the 10/10's could be bombed. but the Negative ones are far more with the Bombing.

    10. The Director self insert himself? Yes Manny does look like him but Neil never did any Mocap. He even shouted out the actor so that claim is false.    … Expand

Эбби логично вписана в историю она накаченная видно что много качалась, но в конце она похудела так так была в плену и это надо было для контраста. И что мне ещё сказать игра самая детализированная, самая графонистая, и красивая АНАЛОГОВ ЭТОЙ ИГРЕ НА ДАННЫЙ МОМЕНТ НЕТ В ЭТОМ ПОКОЛЕНИИ И ВРЯТЛЕ БУДЕТ.

    СОВЕТУЮ ВСЕМ ПО ИГРАТЬ ЭТУ ИГРУ САМИМ. ТАК КАК ИГРА ЗАШЛА БОЛЬШИНСТВУ.

    Игру купили за первые 3 дня 5 миллионов раз из них только 55.000тыс. не зашла и остальным 4.950.000 игрокам зашло.

    Without a doubt an amazing game! Went it to it cautiously due to the mixed reviews but having completed it I realised all the negative reviews are due to the snowflake generation we live in.
    The game does perfectly what’s its supposed to, which is show a post apocalyptic world in all its grittyness and portrays the characters you play and meet in exactly that light.

    Revenge is big tone of the game but naughty dog does an amazing job with it and manages to make you (the player) slowly and grudgingly forgive a character you hate so much! This ties in perfectly with the story and that is commendable.
    Some people say the ending wasn’t satisfying but really what did you expect... it’s a game about the end of the world, not everything is going to have a happy ending with people dancing into the suns set. Personally i feel the ending suits this world perfectly....

    Talking about gameplay I mean just WOW, playing any other game now feels bland with the mechanics and attention to detail in the world that I’ve been spoilt with in the last of us 2. The game plays so smoothly and fluently just like the first and honestly it’s so impressive that I couldn’t find a single bug which is impressive alone judging by the amount of bugs you see in new games now.

    This isn’t a fan boy review. As I said I came into this game leaning more towards the idea that I will hate it but really I couldn’t find anything my mind was maybe subconsciously looking for to prove my these thought right. The game is another hit and it’s a real disservice and discouraging to developers who dedicate their life into this sort of amazing work and try hard to give you a “real life” story and just not a perfect happy ending like most games today which cater to the snowflakes.

    Play it! You’re missing out if you believe all the cry babies and pass on it!    … Expand

A trash character like abby ? I can't sympathize her, why i must play half of the game after her ? Her motivation ends in the begging. Generaly, this revenge plot, about violence breeds violence in a post apocalyptic world where people kills each other every day to survive sounds funny.     This game made me get a Metacritic account. I don't understand the hate and I don't understand how anyone could evaluate the game a few minutes after the release. Joel gets murdered at begining of the game, by a TRANSEXUAL!lol. He uses a golf club to murder Joel.Ellie is lesbian who has relationship with a Hebrew brown girl, who that girl later gets pregnant by a chinese and Ellie and That brown girl with her chinese child, become a ''family''.Ellie and that brown Hebrew girl do drugs and you control 2 characters. Ellie the lesb0 and the transexual guy who takes steroids! I kid you not. he takes steroids! And he gets analy prolapsed in a boat by a white guy. During your missions you will find a pregnant woman who dresses as soldier, carries weapons and fights zombies and also characters which you never saw before but game presents em as cannon serious and important. Seriously im not kidding you! This is the story of the game! Then the team of the transexual guy which is full of gypsies, chinese, lesbians and hebrews, hunt down white KIDS while they ''murder zombies''.     This game was such a disappointment. All the high end polish you'd expect from a ND game. But when the story is such and integral part of this game, when it falls flat as hard as it does the entire game suffers. I played through twice. I just didn't care. Sold the game used today.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This is bad "The Last of Us" fanfiction pretending to be a video game. It's complete with the Original Character Mary Sue beating (and/or killing) the previous protagonists and having sex with the author's Self-Insert.

    It is a perfect example of how a company can completely misunderstand what made it's previous product so successful and go out of it's way to destroy beloved characters.

    Just like Game of Thrones Season 8 and The Last Jedi, it's a demonstration of what happens when people with more ambition than talent are put in charge of a project and mistake subverting audience expectations with producing a quality product.

    Add into this Naughty Dog and Sony's false advertising and blatant abuse and misuse of the Copyright system to silence critics and the and you are left with a product isn't worth picking up at a bargain bin price, let alone a full AAA price.    … Expand

    I was led to believe by the trailers to expect another story about 2 beloved characters and their relationship, in the end it was not.

    The story strays even further away than the first game from the infected apocalypse setting.
    Not that it was bad on the first game, in reality it was kinda refreshing.
    Putting Ellie and Joel as centerpiece was what led me to love the game.

    Where in this story, despite having some characters that appeared in the first game, they were just shells of their former selves.
    That led to a depressing and uninspired turn of events, where the decisions taken by those characters were outright stupid and unrealistic, leading me to feel as the characters were forced to act that way to advance the story.

    While playing, I haven't felt a connection to Ellie or Abby, especially the ending.
    Why kill all those people just to get to Abby if you're not going to kill her?
    You already turned yourself into a murderer, just finish it.

    Gameplay-wise it was good, but it wasn't that ground breaking experience that I expected from a famous studio such Naughty Dog.
    Throughout the game there were many occasions where I've faced animation bugs and gameplay bugs.

    Graphics are great, one of the best that I saw on the PS4, but following the gameplay I've seen objects blinking in and out of existence, some texture bugs as well.

    Overall it was a disappointing ending to a game that needed no sequel.

    I meant to give this game a 7, but due to the massive changes on the promotional material to purposely mislead the public I'll give it a 6.

    Being further disappointed by the way that prominent figures in the medium handles criticism, and I am not talking about the aggressive and offensive comments and/or reviews.

    Where both sides dismiss any type of point of view that differs from their own, saying that they are bigoted, stupid, propaganda or saying that the critic lacks “insert anything to further prove their point of view”.

    As Well as the passive aggressive humor, comments, actions and hypocrisy commonly shared by both sides of the argument.

    I feel pushed to stand in a middle ground and give this 'GAME' a 5.

The new character that you play as is a deplorable person yet the writers of the game wants us to sympathize with her. No!     I am not p(l)aying for that. I am here for the story. It is 1 pt, not because of the pain I experienced by seeing characters die, but how poorly it is executed. I don't feel anything the developers want me to feel. I feel confused, and honestly, I do not want to continue playing the game (after 4 hours in). Mechanics and gameplay work only if the story works. Imagine killing Harry Potter in Chamber of secrets, and then making you play 50% as Ron and 50% as Voldemort (I know it is not accurate in terms of character motivations, but this what came to my mind, first).    … Expand

    Stayed up til midnight after waiting what feels like forever for this. The story is terrible, the writing is questionable and takes you out of the experience more often than not. I’ve avoided all the leaks so I can play it fresh but after about 12 hours in I’m just disappointed. If you loved the first, avoid this because it will just ruin a great first game. So disappointed.

    She is crazy sick sadist the way she killed him. No human being can feel empathy for her. Its not like he tortured her father. He was holding a knife and wouldnt let him take Ellie of because he was going to kill her for a chance of vaccine.

    And there was no popcorn.
    They take a world that has been absolutely destroyed by a virus, and then they make characters who have serious first-world problems. It's like going to the poorest villages in the world and instead of teaching them how to farm and build shelters, I teach them how to choose a gender and take revenge on those who have wronged them, but then forgive them at the last moment.
    Another great storyline destroyed by writers trying to subvert our expectations. To make a third part would be absolutely greedy considering everything in this franchise has been wrapped up by the conclusion of this game.
    No amount of excellent graphics, stellar performances, or gameplay mechanics can compensate for such a strong failure in the story.

The story uses brutal scenes to get Joel killed, but doesn't use the same or worse level of scenes to take revenge of those murders, so disgusting; also the game does not provide options but forcing user not to take revenge on Abby, more disgusting; furthermore, the game forces players to control Abby - the devil and murderer during different stage of the game, this is definitely the worst way to piss off players.

    I bought the game, played it for lots of hours, but I regret it, because:
    1. Bad story and ending - said above
    2. Slow pace story
    3. Force playing with enemy

This review will have spoilers but before i get to that - Save your time, money and energy and don't buy this game, I usually dont write reviews but this game was so bad i just had to. Dont let it soil the love and appreciation you've built up for characters in the first game. All the 10/10 and 5 star reviews and articles popping up are quite frankly fake, paid reviews by people who think they're above everyone else in "their artistic genius". After finishing the game I'm left with a really bad taste in my mouth. Its rare for me to honestly rate any game a zero because I always try to find the merit in games even if they have flaws. But this game has almost no good points, its merits are few and far between and whatever genuinely good parts present are ruined by the rest of the game. Im left wondering, after seven years of waiting THATS what we get?!
    In a post-apocalyptic world where the possibilities for a game are endless THATS the best they could come up with?
    It felt like a cruel slap in the face. Like raising a child for years (in this case the first instalment) and then having said child brutally gutted in front of you (second instalment- the last of us part 2)
    It honestly felt like the infected weren't even a part of the game anymore and were just kind of an obstacle.

    I just cannot seem to grasp just how idiotic the story is They've taken the surgeon who was supposed to develop a vaccine from Ellie in the first game, a seemingly unimportant almost insignificant character just taped to the end of the first game. And they've made him a basis for revenge for the entire sequel? Seriously? An entire well filled with fantastic ideas and you choose the worst possible one? I hope your directing career is over Neil. In what world is this game alright?!

    Its very obvious that the team working on this game frantically tried to clean up druckmans story mess with clean visuals and solid gameplay but druckmans idiocy rooted within the game prevails at making it a misery to play.

    Its horrible beyond belief, through and through. Killing off one of the most favourable characters of the franchise in literally the first 2 hours of the game in the worst way possible was the first indication to how terrible the rest of the game was going to be. There was no real purpose to it. Backtracking to the first game, Joel's daughter was also killed in the beginning and it was gut-renching and there was real emotion I feel like they were going for the same thing in the last of us 2 albiet very unsuccessfully

    In the first game Ellie and joels relationship grows into a father daughter type relationship to fill the void joels daughter left

    In the last of us 2, they attempt to patch it up with dina and tommy unsuccessfully This is a perfect point to state that the games heavy emphasis on the gay agenda also serves no purpose other than to gain the support of the gay community. It's horrifying what they've done in game. Jesse gets Dina pregnant, kill off Jesse so Dina and Ellie can have a family. The message here is that men are only good for breeding?

    Another disastrous point is that the game tries to humanise Joels killer, it tries to justify her actions by having you play as her for half of the game, 12 HOURS. Honestly, that part was just torture, playing as a character you despise while the producers desperately try and paint her in a positive ligh.

    And then forcing us, playing as a character we hate to fight a character we love? That's cruelty I honestly let tommy kill me (playing as abby) like a hundred times before i felt satisfied moving on I also let Ellie do the same Why? Why did neil try so hard to make Ellie the bad guy? Why did he try so hard to make joel the bad guy? Why did they introduce Abby into the franchise? Theres no reason to any of what this game contains In the end the game had a chance to redeem itself and at least score a 1 or 2 out of 10 by killing Abby, the character that everyone despises and no... of course, you couldn't grant me that luxury could you Neil. You had to let Abby escape, had to leave Ellie with PTSD, no family, no friends, no father figures, no fingers, no revenge. Nothing. You had to rip out everything, throw it on the floor, spit on it and make your fans lick up the garbage you created. You honestly had one job and failed, flailing miserably might i add

While the first part made us fall in love with it the second part is as if some 5 yr old wrote its story line. It has huge problems with the plot, the game is just a dummy, the only thing that saved it is the gameplay, but playing for the characters was disgusting and unpleasant.     I don't have anything to complain about gameplay but in story, Oh boy..
    so many plot holes and dumb decision made by characters especially at the start of the game, i can not believe what i've watched, near the end i was not emotional at all because game's story became so **** i was laughing instead

    This game is far from a 10/10 masterpiece, literally their trailers are a scam, joel doesn't even appear in the scenes from the trailers, they massacred all characters development for an agenda and a generic revenge story that even sh*** anime makes better

    Graphics - 10/10. Console noice - 10/10. Strong womans - 10/10. Gameplay - 7/10. Story - 0/10. Game - 1/10, thanks to the first hour. The rest of the game - basically trash.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The gameplay of this game barely differs from its predecessor. The gameplay contradicts itself with the story (Ludonarrative Dissonance). Lack of connections between the story and the game mechanics (unlike tlou). The story is flawed and filled with plot holes, the new secondary characters are pretty forgettable, Ellie's decisions do not make sense throughout the entire game. Naughty Dog also tries too hard to make you like Abby by forcing you to play around 15 hours with her, which in my case, didn't happen. This game wasn't enjoyable to play.… Expand

    The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

    Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
