This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I have just finished the the last of us part 2 and after playing 25+ hours finding all the stories and notes and everything there is in the game I have come to the conclusion that this is the best game that has ever been made both in gameplay and in story this game made me cry more times than I can count and honestly showed how dark and gloomy this world is and where the main focus is surviving at all costs. I wish that Joel didn’t die but I see why this had to happen because Ellie’s story would have been completely different if it was tommy or anyone else Ellie loved Joel and you could see that all the way through but like teenagers do they don’t like to show emotions to look weak and that honestly is a unbelievable detail but Ellie wasn’t going to stop no matter what to avenge Joel but she realised at the end that she went too far killing all those people for one person. I think that the ending was perfect because by the end of the story I didn’t want to fight Abby at all because she was just doing anything to survive and she nearly died so many times by the end she doesn’t even care about dying.

I think Abby is one of the greatest characters ever to be in a video game and yes I **** hated her for killing Joel and I was thinking about not even playing the game when I saw the leaks but by the end of the game my whole opinion on Abby changed and that’s because she finally saw that what she did was wrong and seeing the people around her die she saw that she wasn’t doing the right thing anymore and Lev was such a huge part of that when her mum dies Abby becomes like a surrogate mother like Joel becomes a surrogate farther in the original and would do anything to protect her from dying she sees what the wolf’s are doing is wrong and that the scars are just defending themselves from what the wolves caused and that’s amazing. Abby went through hell in this game more than Ellie I mean that monster infected thing OMG didn’t I **** myself that was crazy but I honestly started to see her side of the perspective she was doing what Joel was doing for he met Ellie and Abby did the same before she met lev.

I honestly think the ending isn’t a sad one like everyone is saying I think it’s a passing of the hatred and pain that has caused Ellie to want to kill abby and her friends at all costs and passing of the hate towards Joel like in the epilogue it shows that they were going to get better and go on more adventures and I just wish Joel said one line and that would be the following when walks off “Ellie I love you and you know when I said that you aren’t my daughter in that cabin you are to my daughter that’s why I did what I did”

I think the flashbacks are also unbelievably cute and amazing the dinosaurs and space scenes literally made me feel like a kid and honestly I smiled like crazy and the game definitely needed those breaks because there needed to be some hope which most of the game there wasn’t

I loved all the characters especially Dina lev Abby and Ellie they were my favourites and of course my man Joel who will be forever alive to me.

I think this game is miles better than the original the art work graphics gameplay animations everything is absolutely the best a PS4 can offer I suggest anyone that hasn’t played the game and is putting bad reviews play the game through and let yourself be moved into the world.

Honestly this game has to be game of the year and nearly game of the century absolutely stunning and a masterpiece loved every second of it 10/10

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. It's a great game. The graphics are one of the best I've ever seen. The story show us different types of life's perspectives, Abby has a good argument in the narrative because she is the daughter of the scientist who knew the way to cure the virus, he suffered a lot, more than Ellie (she killed all the Abby's friends). This is not a Disney story it's crude, rude and to me show what real life is. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. An honest review,

Let me first start with this. I actually enjoyed playing TLOU2. It was a great experience and I loved seeing the new game mechanics, characters and infected that were implemented.

    [STORY]

I think it's safe to say that a few things should've been different. Even though the story is beautiful, it has its flaws.

This is how it should have been in my opinion:

You start the game as Abby, making her way to Jackson. Without the player know why their going there, they come across obstacles and other survives. You get to play the flashbacks of her father and everything.
Slowly along the way you get to hints to why you are going to Jackson.

Then, you find Joel and Tommy and make your way to the villa. And the cut-scene starts. Maybe ending at: Abby: That's 'cause they have

Following this you start to play as Ellie in Jackson, doing the patrol and eventually ending up at the villa. Here you see Joel's death.

From here on out the game is like it is now, you go on the hunt for Abby.

    [ENDING]

I'm not sure how I feel about the ending of the game. Its good that Ellie realizes what she is doing, but it doesn't make sense that she does after killing hundreds of people.

And its a good ending in a way, but it is extremely sad to see Ellie in the end with nothing left.

So in a way i agree with the ending and I also don't.

    [CHARACTERS]

I've seen a few reviews about people being mad that the game has been made about #MeToo and feminism.
I don't mind the orientation or anything about the characters. But having all main characters female and have a strong characteristic: Gay, Transgender, Hulk. makes it feel kind of forced in my opinion.
I feel like the characters would have been better with Abby being more realistic, more like Tess...
This would have made a difference in other people's opinions I think.

    [MUSIC]

Just a little thing about the music. The music is good, but the music of the first game was waaaay better.

    [CONCLUSION]

As you can probably tell by my review, I feel like the story and characters could have been better.

BUT... I do think Naughty Dog made an amazing game. I think that they achieved something, just look at the emotional reactions everyone is giving.

So again the story is good, because its very emotional. But it should have been different
The characters are okay, but could have been different.
And game play wise, it was amazing. Loved the level design and enemies.

    Greetings,
    Njitram

Last of Us II has great depth and character development. The writing and style immerse you into the story and with Naughty Dog's now traditional cut scenes and immersive gameplay, the game feels more than ever like a movie or a book that takes you bit by bit along

Great work by the cast, voice actors and actresses, wired and designers. The work and time they spent polishing the game shows.

Naughty Dog did something few other games do and that is to make me sit back and really contemplate all of the details and nuances and hard topics that are in the world today. I really love their attention to detail in their story telling. It's games like this that make me love single-player games and that would have me pre-ordering whatever Naughty Dog puts out.

This is why I never trust "professional" critic this is a good game but to call it 9 or 10 out of 10 is laughable. For one, no game is 10 out 10. The story is all over the place and it is a huge disappointment compared to the first game. The gameplay is pretty good though with some fantastic AI.

This is truly a game that you have to play to its end. As a huge fan of the first game (my all time favorite video game, hands down) this installment gives the first a run for its money. It explores the consequences of the decisions made in the first.

My only true issue with this game lies with its pacing, but upon playing it a second time it didn’t bother me at all because I wasn’t so anxious for the resolution. It truly has you on the edge of your seat the whole time, just dying to know what is going to happen next.

To me, this game is scarier than its predecessor. It has more jump scares and has a darker energy overall. The graphics are unparalleled, and the level of detail that Naughty Dog put into this environment is incredible. So many small mechanics that no other video game has done before have been perfected in this game, it is shocking to me that it was on the PS4 and not the PS5 (and I do not have the pro, just the original launch version.) The acting, much like the first, is what really makes this game. All of the characters seem real and with their own strengths and weaknesses. Even the NPCs seem like real people and it makes Ellie’s journey even grittier. I could truly go on about this game forever. If you were a fan of the first game, you simply must play this one. There are dozens and dozens of easter eggs and innuendoes that reference the first installment. It pays homage to the first and then takes that story even further. 10/10.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The sequel builds on and improves on everything in the previous game from visuals, environments, combat system, and upgrade mechanics.

The critical part, which is the story is the exact opposite of lazy. While often AAA studios are accused of not daring or taking risks, Naughty Dog went the exact opposite route. And while I definitely felt deep sadness and emptiness at parts of the game, it's those feelings that drive the rest of the story and make it rich. I have never got into these emotional feelings in any game, movie, or even show. Not even Game of Thrones prepared me for this.

The had a card which they burnt, but from it branched two different opposing narratives, that lets you play and feel the villain's story. When you realize that at the time you were plotting to kill the villain, she was actually risking her life, going against her own people, to save an innocent child from the opposing cult.

The story of Part 1 in my opinion was more solid. But it was also a lot more linear, and didn't have the conflict Part 2 brings. You may like the story of Part 2 or not in the end. But this is definitely not lazy writing. The details and conflicts have been well thought of, and go very deep, I've never played a game like this. I personally had some moments where I didn't fully buy what happened. But despite that, The Last of Us Part 2 still stands high and unique. When I finished it, I thought I'm good for now. But few weeks later, and all I could think of was this game. And I realized I want to replay it. Although I'm rarely the replay kind of player. So far that, I still find it hard to give it a 9 instead of a 10.

The best way to enjoy this game is to play it yourself without any prior knowledge or expectations. Enjoy it, and be the judge.

That would be the story. The ending was one of the worst and disappointing endings I have ever witnessed. The theme of the game is not consistent. Characters act not like themselves or do stupid things they normally don’t do. And one character that you don’t want to play as becomes a major character in the game even though the game advertised that Ellie would be the main star. The second half of the game just ruined the whole game. So in conclusion, the villain can get away with revenge but not the MC and has to lose everything because they loved Abby more than the two characters that helped make the Last of us such a masterpiece. Since this is a story driven game, the story needs to weigh more than any other category for the game. of a game Expand

Not only is the story horrible and poorly developed, add also the fact that the player is forced to live as the universally hated Abby, thus totally ruining any pleasure the experience could have offered. This game is an utter failure . Don't waste your money.

Although ND is still a industry leader with TLOU2 graphic wise, they have sold their soul to the story devil. I couldn't believe that what started out in TLOU with great storytelling, devolved into a stupid revenge tale. Highly disappointed with what was released. This is definately a step in the wrong direction and a do not buy till highly discounted for maybe 10 bucks.

Despite the spoilers and scrutiny towards the game's story, the gameplay has improved immensely from the first game. The story just did not appeal to most of the audience, as it feels somewhat disingenuous and tarnishes the legacy of (some of) the characters from the first game. Additional and more improved (refined) gameplay mechanics and graphical capabilities have something new to offer, yet it feels familiar. It's a very pretty game...
But there's no good reason to buy it for the story, though. You can easily watch playthroughs online and experience the game without having to spend full price for it; because it's something you (might) regret buying. You won't miss out on much. You can definitely save your money for a more worthy contender. Congratulations, Naughty Dog! You made another well-made albeit controversial game. Take note though; the team worked really hard on this game despite the harsh working conditions that they faced. Mr. Vice President surely has some skeletons in his closet now.

This game is the case when there was a lot of noise and praise, but inside everything is sad and mean for full-price =(

Among the advantages can be distinguished:
    - Game is beautiful, the artists and level designers tried.
    - The animations are designed so that the characters interact with some things and the environment in an interesting way.
    - Sometimes fighting the battle is very pleased, as it effectively was made of the situation after injury or killing enemies.

    Disadvantages in my opinion are:
    - Structure of the scenario and its individual moments. I cannot believe in the authenticity of such a world and its heroes and understand that the authors wanted to make analogies in the characters' images. It is very difficult to create a sequel when there was an original before it, which a sufficient number of people already love. The authors had to understand - this is a responsibility and one must very skillfully play on the strings of the players' souls. But this plot and its details show the opposite - it works for fewer people than it could.
And yes, dialogues. This is terrible ((((I felt the poverty and stinginess of the characters' images. They can push off the heroes in the first hours, and therefore I felt bad from the beginning to the end of the game.
    - Feels like the game should have been with a more open world. The creators were clearly technically unable to do this (or there are other reasons for this). But the predetermined linearity with long history is disappointing. I very often wanted to return to a location nearby in one chapter or another (for example to collect items). But they don't let you do that. For me this is a confirmation in the absence of replayability. It is very difficult to force yourself to replay when I would like to complete achievements. Even after some time - there is no pleasure in it.
    - There is little music. I understand that the authors wanted to emphasize the atmosphere of the environment.
But the appropriate music is not enough to better connect the player with what he is experiencing. In some areas and moments it would be possible to make vocal trills of stringed instruments - it is depressing without them.
I could go on, but I am very sorry to write all this. Previously, I was familiar with heavy and dramatic works, from which you can cry, worry, but feel with all your heart - it was not for nothing. TLOU Part2 is not even something close to this.
The game could be a really wonderful creation, but they decided to make it something else, a way to convey only what you will either fully accept or reject.

The Last of Us: Part II fully exceeds its predecessor. While the first game limited the scope and world-building to the single path that Joel most takes, the second game truly explores every corner it can of its world. This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Absolutely loved it! The game is visually stunning, runs smooth (even on my original PS4 from 2014) and has an engaging story. The mechanics are similar to the first game but have been expanded upon for greater variety in the gameplay, the map and levels are well designed with plenty of hidden away areas improving replayability, and the combat is absolutely fantastic! Storywise I have no complaints either, although I can understand why some people don't enjoy it as much as I do.

Because while the first TLOU was by no means a feel-good game, part 2 left me emotionally destroyed. I brutally murder someone while playing as Ellie only to find them likeable while playing as Abby, I have to overcome my initial hatred for Abby when faced with the prospect that Joel, from Abby's POV had it coming, and I have to watch Ellie and Abby, two characters I've become attached to, beat each other senseless. Twice. And on top of that, I have to watch Ellie abandon her family for the sake of revenge, only to realise that she's still no closer to finding peace for herself in the vacuum left by Joel's death. Because while the game definately delivers the message of "revenge bad", it's by far the only message of the game. The Last Of Us Part 2 is a beautifully told story of redemption, vengeance and love setting us up for a Part 3 that I hope will be as enjoyable for everyone else as Part 2 was to me.

Thank you, Naughty Dog. But plz don't overwork ur employees.

Great game. The technical aspects (graphics/music/animation) are top score. The story and the characters are well developed, maybe the plot development might not be for the taste of everyone, for me it definitely worked. It has of course its flaws, mostly related to the length, but after finishing I understand the need of it to develop the story.

    >Joel foolishly believed he could trust outsiders when he was NEVER like that to begin with.
    >Kill off Joel without him saying much to Abby, and no lastwords to Ellie.
    >Force us to play Abby, the one who took Ellie's father Joel away from her.
    >You changed Ellie's looks... to where she's unrecognizable in some aspects compared tothe first game.
    >Made the game way too easy.
    >While you managed to make the world feel somewhat immersive, you still made it feel super empty.
    >The Seraphites were a knockoff of Eden's Gate from Far Cry New Dawn.
    >Gave us a bittersweet first ending where Ellie settles down with Dinah but it still felt lonely, then made everything go go **** with PTSD.
    >Made a tortured Ellie travel a far far way to kill Abby, BUT ONLY TO SPARE THE ENEMY. There was NO reason to let all of those killings be in vain. The real Ellie believed that it couldn't be for nothing. Nobody would have hunted down Ellie or anyone else if Abby was killed. Joel was literally just saving his daughter from being murdered, and then he had to pay with his life. Ellie lost her father with the last memories of him being beaten to death, into a bloody pulp. So she let's the one that caused her so much pain and agony go, unjustified mercy. Abby got so many people on both sides killed. So Abby also takes Ellie's two fingers from her. Who thought this was a good idea?
    >after all that, Dina leaves her. You killed Joel, but you turned Ellie's lide into HELL.
I knowhow the review system works for the most part, but I doubt the official reviews were genuine in any way, shape, or form. Anything bellow a 5 is pretty much negative. So this 2 was well deserved. The idea you were still able to get 5 and up is disgusting. The only thing good about this game was the strong attention to physical detail, but that's really it. This was one of the greatest disappointments for me. I over looked the PC stuff that even I'm personally opposed to, only to find out it really doesn't matter because either way, this was one of the largest media failures in a long while. Now ND can't even take the criticism and try to do right by people. May they go bankrupt. I've signed the petition to urge Sony to rework TLOU Part 2's story. Maybe they can replace Druckmann with somebody worthy of giving the Last of Us the sequel it actually deserves.

Some levels simply have to many enemy encounters without taking the time to take a breather. On the other side, graphics, audio-design, dialogue between the characters and the intertwining storytelling are the best I've ever seen in a video game. Even the gameplay improved in every way imaginable, Compare it to the first one, it's not even close how good this feels to play. Despite of what you think about this game and where it took the story, its never going to be a 0 out of 10. These reviews are so **** dumb it's causing me physical pain. It's ok to dislike the story developments, that's actually the exact feeling the first part of the game wants you to feel because Ellie feels the same way. Unjustified 10/10s? No problem.

Critics™ unanimously not being "Critics"? Perfectly fine! It will even look better in the catalogue when people browse and only the Critic™ reviews are shown.

Unjustified 0/10s? Shut it down. Change the system so only Trusted™ access media can give scores for what is probably the most vital time for a game while everyone else has to wait 36 hours after release. That'll fix it! (No it won't you're just angering people more)

This game is nearly perfect. It´s really polished and looks fantastic. It run´s smooth ah on the pro. The changeover from PC back to console is preatty easy with this game.

The Gameplay is preatty straight forward and in my opinion the stealth mechanic is rly fun and better than in the first game.
The story is the Elephant in the room here. The decision from ND in this game with the death of Joel and the revenge story with Elly is in my opinion really good. It shows the futility to revenge violence with more violence. It touched my heart at some points tho. I played a lot of Games in my life. Take Billions of virtual lifes and never regret anything but here it was hard for me and I needed some breaks from the game. It demands a much from you, you can´t choose the path Ellie is going, it´s just like in a movie, you need to see ANYTHING.
That the devs let you play Abby in the second half is good too. It shows you that the Fulfilment of revenge doesn´t change anything in her life. It shows you that Abby isn´t just an antagonist. Joel took everything from her so she took everything from Ellie. The revenge limbo is insane and I think it´s hard to describe this feeling of the game in an review.

I recommend to anyone of you reading this to play this masterpiece to form your own opinion.

My only critic at this game is that the part from Abby is partially too long. The Game could easily cut by 10 hours play time to maintain the tension of the playthrough.

In the end I think the game just needs some time to get in the place where it belongs. Maybe in 10 years we all look back at this event.

I'm rating this game low because the plot of this game and character development is garbage. While the graphics are beautiful and they did improve some of the game play mechanics, I didn't like Last of Us as a series for the gameplay. It was all about the characters and their adventure. They totally ruined that by killing off characters you care about. They make you dislike characters, then play as them. They kill off characters left and right where you literally like no one and don't have fun playing. The worst part is the ending. Wow. Such garbage. There is no payoff. You do see it coming, and yet it works you realize there's no hero or vilain , there's just survivors. The worst moment was when you have to kill Ellie as Abby , I did pause and put the controller down for a moment .

    Gameplay: 8/10
    Graphics: 10/10
    Overall: 7/10

    Pros:
-One of the best looking games on PS4. Possibly the best
    -Zombies are intense when present
-The story was at it's best during certain Ellie flashbacks

    Cons:
    -Main story had major issues
    -New characters are largely forgettable
-Ellie/Abby parallel does not make sense

    Additional Thoughts:
I think a 7 might even be a generous score, but the graphics are undeniably amazing and there were parts of the story I still enjoyed.

That said, the main story was a bit of a mess. For the story to be successful, you had to buy into the Ellie/Abby parallel. That analogy did not work in my opinion. Ellie shows that she is generally trying to do the right thing on multiple occasions. I felt that Abby pretty much came off as a psychopath multiple times even during her section of the game. I understand they were trying to create some moral ambiguity, but Abby felt like a definite villain to me.

Joel's death can only be described as a bizarre choice by Naughty Dog. I suspected it was unlikely he would make it through the game, but to kill him so quickly and literally spit on his body? I cannot understand how anyone thinks that his death was well scripted regardless of his actions at the end of the first game. Can you imagine if this formula was applied to other games? Nathan Drake killed by a random enemy's cousin. Mario killed by a Goomba's grandson. Batman killed by henchman's neighbor. It sounds ridiculous because it is ridiculous! It didn't have to be an overblown theatrical ending, but what they went with was a bad choice.

I don't expect a perfectly realistic game since TLOU is a fictional world, but some of the choices characters make/things that happen are so ridiculous it took away from the experience. I will mention some of these at the end of my other points.

I will also say that those who think Naughty Dog is not pushing their political views into games are kidding themselves. They have been trending this direction over the course of a few games, and I do think it is starting to detract from the experience. I wouldn't say it ruins the game by any stretch, but it is pretty transparent.

The flashbacks were great. Really captured what made the first game so amazing. I also thought the ending flashback somewhat salvaged an otherwise bad story.

    Story Issues that Jumped Out:
    - Why would a pregnant doctor ever leave the safety of a camp?
    - Scars pretty much only exist to give Abby something to do during her part of the story
    - Why does Nora get to die off screen after she trashes Joel? Additionally, why is Ellie traumatized from killing her when she has killed dozens/hundreds to get there?
    - The doctor from the first game doesn't really resemble Abby's dad that much
    - Abby's backstory is way too short
    - Does WLF really just store all of their dead bodies in a tent inside their camp? Seems like an issue in a number of ways
    - How is Abby possibly fighting back at the end? She was hanging on the post long enough for her fellow prisoners to think she was dead, not to mention Ellie stabs her multiple times
    - Why would anyone fight zombies with their bare hands? Seems like Abby should know better
    - Seems extremely unlikely that Tommy would survive that gunshot wound
    - The fight with the giant Scar was cool, but no way he is fighting after having his face essentially cut in half
    - Ellie struggles to walk after being slightly stabbed by a tree, but Yara gets an arm amputated and is on a mission within a few hours

Overall, good looking game, story was okay at best. Worth playing to experience the visuals first hand, but nowhere near how great the first game was.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Great gameplay, nothing to say, the story didn't appeal to me enough, Abby's own story started to bore me halfway through her adventure.
I disappoint the wobbly ones, very easy to kill, I prefer the chubby that scares me the most.
And the last thing I did not like, was that they did not include the trophies for difficulty because when I started playing the game, I immediately played it in a difficult way to obtain that trophy and the others with less difficulty and in the end I was surprised with Know that in the second installment they did not include those types of trophies.
    In conclusion a 4/10 I put it.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Graphics - 9/10
+ Great graphics overall, perfect shadows/light effects, detailed textures and beautiful landscapes.
+ Very natural animations, and perfect facial expressions in both cutscenes, and during gameplay (for example during steaths kills).
    - Experience some minor pop up issues [-1pts].

    Sound - 10/10
+ Perfect sound design, very detailed sound effects (for example, it's possible to crack the safes by listening to the clicks, no need to find the code)
    + Great music, perfect fit.
    + Awesome voice acting.

    Gameplay - 6/10
+ Very responsive controls, great shooting, weapon sway feels very natural.
+ Encounters are challenging, especially when engaged in open combat.
    - Stealth, however, is serviceable; throw distractions, stealth kills and silenced weapons, there is just one possible way to stealth kill, no option to do a stealth kill from above for example. [-1pts]
    - IA don't react to sound, except for bottles/bricks, running or shooting. You can drop from a ledge or into the water right behind enemies and they don't react. [-1pts]
    - IA don't react to your flashlight. [-1pts]
    - All the issues above combined makes extremely easy to exploit the IA, for example, throwing a bottle, then a molotov, is a very effective tactic for most of the game [-1pts]

    Level design - 10/10
+ Maps are perfectly designed, feels much bigger than really is, provides many different ways to approach the encounters, with very organic interactive points (ledges, vaults, hiding spots, etc).
+ Interesting puzzles, nothing complex, but also not too easy.
+ Different enemy types keeps things varied and interesting for the whole game.

    Storyline - 0/10

    - Joel dies too early in my opinion, the very little build up for the moment, the way it happens don't fit the character at all, Joel would never give his real name surrounded by a bunch of strangers with mean looks on their faces. Totally out of charracter. [-3pts]
    - This one major flaw in my opinion, Abby storyline is very little internwined with Ellie storyline, only happens at the very end, felt like a huge missopportunity. The whole time, while playing Abby section, I kept thinkins "When this is gonna end and go back to the main plot?" [-3pts]
    - Also Tommy, I think he should have played a bigger role during Abby storyline, she should be the one leading the defense against Tommy's attack. Instead we get what feels like a "side quest" with Liv/Yara [-2pts]
    - Some huge plot holes, how did Amy get to the Aquarium? After you banged Owen, you leave to help Liv and Yara, then come back and suddenly Amy is there. The area was supposed to be crawling with Scars, you even got captured trying to reach the Aquarium yourself (only to be saved by Liv and Yara). How a pregnant woman got there without any trouble, and aparently faster than Abby? How Tommy survived a headshot? How did he get back to Jackson? [-1pts]
    - The flashbacks should be the game storyline as they are way more interesting than the main storyline. [-1pts]

A huge fan of the first instalment and waited 8 years for this game, but to only feel like i did when the credits rolled in game of thrones S8 & disney Starwars trilogy. I will go straight to the point in this review:
    The good:
-graphics (next gen graphics, lot of work has been put into this game).
-Sound and music is again on point like in the first game giving you the immersion of being in a apocalyptic world.
    The bad:
    - Story: The obvious is the storytelling that doesn't compare to the first game, i do understand it is a bold move by Neil but having social agenda and shoving such themes to gamers not only break the immersion/realism of the flow of the story but also creates unnatural events which i can only say to subvert expectation of those who play it. Of course i won't spoil, but the game tries to pull a red wedding moment without any build up and utimately just reminds me of the the 'iron fleet' plot hole in Game of thrones S8.
    - Characters: The game forces a femenism agenda that utimately fails to portray them as strong and independent characters (the game seems to insult more than portray femenism in a positive manner). I know anita sarkeesian took some sort of contribution or influence on druckman in writing some of these characters, and it shows with all female characters taking all the glory and moments that are not earned while the men are seen as 'bigots'. Now there are heaps of games and movies out there that do illustrate the natural earned independent female role for example THE LAST OF US PART 1. All characters have flaws, fears and weaknesses which most of these notions must be overcomed in order to develop throughout the game and thus creates a realistic and likeable characters. This game however provides you characters with titles and assume that will be enough for you to either symphathise or like these characters such as 'pregnant lady going to the frontline', 'bastard child that is on roids' & 'transgender daughter living in a viking esque society'. These characters could have been explored more in dept and had a potential to build a connection between the player with these characters but the writer just chose to list and shove as many social agenda message as possible. Worst part is all characters we know in the first game are completely written off with actions and dialogue that do not make any sense with their personalities such as Tommy for example. Again this can be compared with the poor writing in GOT S8 with daenerys who spent 7 seasons building up trust with the people and hopefully applying the same method in westeros... and we know how that went.

Gameplay: The game is essentially the same as part 1 with only a few new infected class, an ability to prone/jump and human AI having different weapons according to what society they belong to. There are less puzzles than the first game such as the rope and rubbish bin to get you to places which is a disapointment. As a linear game it's expected from you to get from point A-B, would of been cool if they could introduce different branches that could provide different experiences to players and would increase the replayability.

Overall as a standalone game it is a 5/10 and a wait for a massive sale (85%-90% OFF) as there are moments in this game that you can get enjoyment out of. However my score is a 1/10 for many reasons that is more related to the developer (Naughty Dog) and the director (Neil Druckman).
    Reason for the main score:
1.A disgusting amount of cencorship to many honest critics and people who voice their concerns with the game (not able to take constructive critisim? not going to last long in a capitalistic society mate).

2.Bullying reviewers and journalist who either mention any negativity of the game or it's development (which moves to my next point).

    3. Treatment of their staff: force to overwork their staff and have the audacity to hold off their checks after their contract has been fulfilled unless they fill an agreement form to not speak of how they are treated while employed at Naughty Dog. I know 'crunch' culture is a thing, but there is a fine line when you stripped not only their freedom at work but also their voice.

    4. Using bots/fans/followers to write negative reviews on well made games such as Ghost of Tsushima. A really coward and desperate method in trying to increase your rating for PS4 exclusive.

Overall i have lost faith in Naughty dog and Neil Druckman and my only last sentence sums up what they have become. "A shamful display"- Shogun 2

This game takes everything that is worth from the first one and destroys it. Focusing in the worst aspects of the series, making little to no improvements in most aspects. Lies in the marketing material. Aside from the graphics there is nothing noteworthy in this game

    Great graphics... that's it.
Game play is repetitive and the story is lacklustre. The Game is not what it was advertised to be. Utterly disappointed.
As a fan of part one, I was hoping for more. The agenda pushing did help the game either.

Soo, I love the Graphics, mechanıcs and all of that, but not the story line. This game was had some much potentıal. They really risked the game, even we get a equal story to the The Last Of Us 1, we love it either. But no. Make the Joel dumb for his Dead. 25 years of pure apocalyptic survive experiance at the first game he was like, '' I trust nobody, being extra leery'' In the Part II like, '' Hello my name is Joel Miller and this is Tommy Miller, we come here from Jackson''. And then Like '' Oh you have friends in a place, nevermind I don't have experiance let's go'' And instantly dies. We don't care about Joel died. I already waited lıke few years thinking '' Probably they are going to kill Joel'' but we care about how he died. Like dumb, 15 years old boy won't do that and Joel like Nevermind let's go! He would be killed next to Ellie because of saving her.Another thing Neil showed us Joel in State Of Play first, I was like Let's go! Joel is here. And he died in first hour, Jessie says Joel's exactly same lines like Bruh. Waited 7 years to play this game and they created a Netflix story line. Like showed a muscular woman, girlfriends you showed Okay! I do not want more but no in 2013 Netflix was not that popular so we get a masterpiece story, now 2020 Netflix storyline. What about Abby huh? They did not show her. I was playing, 20 minutes later some woman showed up like Hello. We played she like more than Ellie. When the half of the game showed up like you are going to play 10 hours of Abby Really. And then play 30 minutes of Ellie and Abby again REALLY. They showed a npc dog, we forced to kill the dog 5 hours later We see the past of the dog, I really do not care! Joel should see some Sarah flashbacks. They forced to hate Joel and Ellie. But no, not Joel. This game had soo much potential... They ruined everything. And they like we did not expect that much hate Really. At the First game killed that doctor with flamethrower, I did not think a second. They forced to kill him and then, Joel be like. '' Oh, I killed a man, hope they don't have daughters or something.'' They forced something, we all did. Ellie killed the pregnant woman they don't give us a change ıt was cinametic and then they expected Hate Ellie look what she done. Oh look Joel he killed his father what would you do? Hate Joel bruh. They tried this in Uncharted 4 to Sam like he showed up like nothing and let's go he is my brother where he been for 4 games, but they ruined in The Last Of Us Part II . Second game that I was hyped after God Of War. God Of War was a masterpiece but not this one. Joel said Literally in The game '' See, There was a sequal, Wasn't as good.'' Good old tricky Joel. The second director said we open the gap for The Last Of Us Part III, please don't do that just don't ruin anymore. Naught Dog was a hero all his games was unique, absolutely amazing but not this one. One more, The Walking Dead Season 1. Joel was Lee, Ellie was clementine. Lee died, Joel died. Telltale make a incredible storyline even the Season 4, they don't created a Netflix story they created a masterpiece. No more things to say.

    Directed by Neil Drunkman.

The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
