    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Gráficamente, es lo mejor que tiene PS4 hasta la fecha, con mecánicas innovadoras y una banda sonora digna. La historia es algo desconcertante a veces, y creo que todos estamos de acuerdo con Ellie al principio del juego buscando una venganza. Pero mientras más indagados en la historia, más nos damos cuenta de que la venganza de Ellie no es necesaria y que está poniendo en peligro la vida de su gente.
    Llegando al final del día 3, nos enteramos que Abby sigue a Ellie, mata a Jesse y a partir de ahí nos damos cuenta del porqué de sus acciones porque literalmente nos ponemos en sus zapatos.
    Duratne el enfrentamiento en el teatro y durante la batalla final, el jugador sufre por ambas, porque desarrolla un cariño que no desea que sea destruido, y hubiera reinado concluso con ambas prácticamente ilesas, pero a Ellie no le bastaba y por querer buscar más, terminó perdiendo lo todo.    … Expand

    Well the story revolves around a revenge of ellie that in the end is not completed, and this is causing a lot of hate over the game, but why was it not completed?

    The journey focuses on showing how much ellie's self-centeredness is destroying everything around her, what she is sacrificing to have a meaningless revenge. But why meaningless? Because ellie’s feeling isn’t about hate    Well the story revolves around a revenge of ellie that in the end is not completed, and this is causing a lot of hate over the game, but why was it not completed?

    The journey focuses on showing how much ellie's self-centeredness is destroying everything around her, what she is sacrificing to have a meaningless revenge.

    But why meaningless?

    Because ellie’s feeling isn’t about hate or because abby killed Joel but because she couldn’t get a chance to apologize, ellie isn’t angry at abby but at herself for not giving Joel the value while she was alive and because of that selfishness, which is already present when she didn’t put herself in the shoes of the joel when she discovered the truth, she puts herself to the test by trying to make sense of it all, but on the way she loses everything, her friends die, their chance to have a family is destroyed and the brother of their former "father" was sequelted besides she lost her fingers and can no longer play the guitar, the strongest and most palpable memory she had of joel.

    So when she finds herself threatening to kill a child who was passed out and strangling a person who was malnourished who was tortured for days, she realizes how far she has gone and that is losing her humanity for nothing and most importantly THE DEATH OF ABBY IT WON'T GIVE HER CHANCE TO APOLOGIZE, it won't make Joel come back to life, so she gives up and leaves, it makes perfect sense, the character is humanized like everyone else in the cast, the last of us is a realistic game that deals with people's errors, choices and the consequences of their actions and that no one was right from the very beginning, and that's why the story is fantastic.    … Expand

    This is the best game i've ever played, the story is so cruel, as it has to be, because its make us feel that Ellie is living on a real world, not in a fake world were the main character always get what he want.     Just finished the game, loved it. A lot (although not all) of the criticism is definitely due to the leaks not presenting the full picture. The same story will feel very different when retold in short and when you see it in full
    The game is sometimes a bit too blunt when trying to convene a point, a bit of subtlety wouldn't hurt here and there. Even though Joel's death happened in the game and the ending was a little disappointing, but understandable, because Ellie felt guilty, the game itself is incredible. Graphics, music, sound effects ... I particularly liked the story, even though it has some details that leave something to be desired. I think the people who were most disappointed were those who waited 7 years for a continuation of Joel's story, but I think Naughy Dog made it clear from the beginning that the game would be more focused on the story of Ellie and the new character Abby. I finished the game yesterday and in all the days that I played, there was not a single time that I did not cry .... each scene made with many details and everything is beautiful! ❤️… Expand

    Graphics and sound are gorgeous as they were in the firs game. Gameplay now have few new features but they add more variability to your experience and AI works much better giving you a real challenge (this applies to a “survivor” difficultly mode, cause it looks like it is a mode this game was ment to be played on and it gives a true sense of this harsh postapocalyptic world).
    Now story. Many sais that this game makes you feel exhausted and destroyed but I think that these are the exact emotions it wants you to experience. Putting spoilers away, TLOU2 is uncompromising with It’s characters and also player and makes you do things that you definitely don’t want to do, but in the end you feel that you made the right decision even if it was really a really hard one. For me it was a great story about circle of violence and I don’t regret that I played it. Thought I need to say that the biggest problem of this game’s plot is that new characters simply can’t compete in charisma with old ones also because we got used to and fell in love with Elle and Joel in the first part and their motivation is cristal clear and understandable for us. Thought I wanted to give this game a solid 8 due to some weak parts of the plot it has (of course it’s not ideal, but it worked for me still), I think that it needs this score more now.    … Expand

I started this game with a open mind and I avoided all the spoilers that got leaked and this game was good I’m happy I bought it even after seeing the bad reviews on it. I can definitely see why some people got mad at the game and at points I was surprised it I still enjoyed the game a lot and the dual story made you see both sides and understand why everyone did what they did and at times felt bad for Abby for what Joel did but I still wanted her gone but as the game goes on it kinda went away it’s a good game with a gold story the game mechanics are just about the same with a few new things just all cleaned up and smoother than ever and I just beat the game and I’m ready for my new game plus run though even if you saw the spoilers and got pulled away from the game trust me give it a shot and play it it’s worth it.… Expand

    This is a good game. The graphics are good. The story is intense. The mechanics are polished and well thought out. I have enjoyed pretty much everything Naughty Dog has done, and this is no exception.

Es una pena que el juego no tenga la valoración que se merece por jugadores de Xbox muertos de envidia, gente que vota sin haber jugado, fanboysES totalmente INJUSTO y VERGONZOSO lo que están haciendo con este juego. Para empezar la VALORACIÓN es totalmente FALSA, ya que el juego tiene entre 25 y 30 horas y a los dos dias del lanzamiento ya habían 50000 valoraciones, realmente imposible.     En cuanto a mi valoración, unos gráficos y unas animaciones espectaculares, y un montón de detalles que hacen que el gameplay sea de cine. La historia está perfectamente narrada, pero repito, la gente no tiene la capacidad suficiente para dejar el fanatismo de Ellie a un lado y aceptar que teniendo el punto de vista de ambas, ninguna de las dos es la buena ni la mala. Si tengo que poner alguna pega es que el tema de la inclusión está un poco forzado, pero no por eso la nota debe pasar de un 10 a un 0, NO. Tenéis mi más sincero 10.

The story has a completely different feel (I personally feel that as Joel has died people are losing there **** and it was a great example of a strong character. The game itself was great and I can honestly say that you need to play the game itself, and form your own opinion. Some reviews I believe are harsh (again it's my opinion). I feel like abby was a great addition and was a character that wasnt liked to start with, when you learn about her you suddenly develop an understanding for what shes done and why she killed Joel. People need to play the full game (some are not finishing this and turning it off after Joel) and realise that its darker than before, not every story has a spectacular happy ending. This game not only had me hooked, it had my crying, stressed, angry and all other kinds of emotions. I really hope that people who play the game, complete it and then have an honest opinion. Hopefully will be game of the year in my opinion.… Expand

    I really don’t Know why everyone complaining, everyone want a happy ending but overall this game was F***king AMAZING! Where I wish that I didn’t just end. The storyline, the actors, the detail for the game was simply beautiful and amazing. @naughtydog y’all did amazing job on this!

    Just finished. 9.6/10. It's an extremely well executed video game. It might not make you feel good, and you might not like the plot, which is fine, but the story was creative and well crafted, and nobody is complaining about the graphics and gameplay. The negative brigading seems pathetic.

    All I can say is I definitely was frustrated throughout the game - whether it was character decisions or story structure but with a little patience I started to enjoy every bit. Once I finished, the magnitude of the journey was overwhelming in a brilliant, moving and yes, very uncomfortable way. The action throughout is absolutely top-notch and brutal. A few sequences in particular my jaw was literally on the floor in awe at the scope of it all. It's the best looking game ever on the console as well.

    This is a challenging game and not in the conventional sense, but I would highly, highly recommend to anyone. For me personally, I regard it as a masterpiece. 10/10, just like the first.    … Expand

This game was one of the most intense, gut-wrenching, awe-inspiring experiences I have played through in my entire life. The story lives up to the masterwork of the first game. Although it isn't nearly as contained as the first, NaughtyDog weaves every gear together seamlessly to tell a story that I interpreted as Ellie fighting to find the strength to forgive. The stealth-action gameplay is a hefty improvement from the first one, as Ellie is more nimble and agile then Joel leading to quicker and smoother combat. The graphics are incredible. No need to say much on that end, everybody can see this. I love this game. I don't know what else I could say. This is a must-play.… Expand

His death had a purpose and ellie was a strong enough character to supply joel’s protagonism. Abby’s gameplay is fun to plan and darker than ellie’s. The story evolved in a way that people didnt love but i did. Wonderful game, wonderful music and wonderful storytelling. This puts on the table the reality of the humanity.     This game has improved from the first one in every aspect. Gameplay is fantastic as well as the graphics.
    The story is breathtaking. I have never felt so many emotions in one game.
    A must buy for every PS4 owner.

    Si, Habrá "MUCHO TEXTO.JPG" El 85% De las personas que lo odian es por la muerte de Joel, El Resto es porque la historia abunda mucho la trama LGTB.

    La muerte De Joel fue dura, Triste y nos Dolió A Todos, Y todos hubiésemos preferido que no pasará, Pero ahora, Para la trama La Muere de Joel Está "Bien" ¿Porque? Porque Matar a Joel Nos Motivaría más la sed de venganza Que si matará a Dina, Un Personaje Nuevo con quién no simpatizamos.


    Hasta Ahí, Ok, Vale, Fue "Interesante" Que nos muestre el punto de vistas de los que mataron a Joel, Ya que eran personas "Buenas" que querían vengarse contra el hombre que Les Arrebato EL FUTURO a ellos y A TODA LA MALDITA HUMANIDAD. Viéndolo así, Se Entiende Más aún Abby pues su padre era el doctor que mató Joel.

    Y ahora no vengan con que "Es muy Forzado Y casualidad que Abby sea su hija". claro Porque En TLOU 1 No era nada Casualidad que Joel luego de la muerte de su hija tenga que llevar a otra niña de LA MISMA EDAD que su hija y que encima ES INMUNE AL VIRUS, caso 1 en 1 Billón.


    Hasta ahí, Entiendo y la historia dentro de los que cabe "TE ENTRETIENE" Y te mantiene la espera de que va pasar.

    Lo que sí, estuvo mal e "Innecesario" fue esas dos últimas horas de juego, El Final debía ser Justo donde Ellie, Dina y JJ Quedan juntos en una granja felices, Pero No, Ellie tuvo ese sentimientode venganza aún vivo y quería matar a Abby a toda costa, Dejando atrás a Dina y JJ, ¿Para que? Para dejarla luego vivir... Eso fue Estúpido, Está Bien que quieran decir "la venganza está mal, mata el alma y la envenena" Ya que Ellie quedó Sola. Pero para mí fue innecesario.

    Entiendo que mucho no les guste pero de ahí, a ser LA MAYOR BASOFIA DE LOS VIDEOJUEGOS HECHA POR EL DEMONIO COMIDA Y VOMITADA POR UN PERRO, NO...

    Best game i have played in a long time. Story is fantastic - you have to let aside your preconception of what you wish the story to be and actually play the game to let the bond with with the caracters slowly build up; just like in the first one.

    Most of the masterpieces gain public recognition after a long time. This game is one of them. Overall it's fantastic, deep and heavyweight. So much to think about after the final scene. Just play it. This game and its story is ahead of its time.

Loved the game as a whole, went in with an open mind about abby but learning about her and why she did what she did its totally justified , not to mention it brings in a whole lot of emotion early on which I loved it got me in because at first I wanted to see ellie destroy everything but again after learning the back story i really liked abbys character im really hoping for a third where possibly they could team up and a prequel !!i would love to see Tommy and Joel early years how they survived and met tess haha ,sorry for rambling but all in all the game was great ! 10/10 graphics story and gamelan all 10s… Expand

    Amazing game. Explore, injest, take your time. This is the perfect representation of simple story, complex characters. My favorite types of games, movies, shows, novels, music, etc follow this principle. TLoU Part II is the game of this generation.

Mucha gente no comprende esto pero les invito a lo que se supone que debe ser el juego, pónganse en el lugar de Ellie y el sentimiento de redención que obtuvo como desarollo de personaje. Musica, lo mejor de Santaolalla haciendo capaz de sentir todos los sentimientos y loejor, la tención de juego hecho realidad.

    I wasn’t spoiled and i didnt see any leaks
    I really dont need to talk about the graphics and gameplay because it was too good The graphics at times had me on edge and it did look so real and how everything was detailed so perfectly
    The sound design is just as brilliant as it was in the first game.
    It deserves a lot of praise
    I played the first game and i went through some moments of the game many times on youtube and to be completely honest first game didnt have the crazy set piece events and the overthetop animation and the cinematic feel
    It did have a few but not nearly as much as part 2 has but i get that it wasn’t really possible on a game developed in 2013 for the ps3 but that doesnt change the fact that the gameplay in first game was pretty boring and i Couldn't wait to get past it and learn more of the story and i was pretty invested in part 1 that it probably was my favourite game back then
    Just because how invested i was in the game
    So It's pretty obvious i was gonna buy and play part 2 After spending over 20-25hrs I'd say this game is done brilliantly
    Even after looking at people posting about how bad it is
    I really didnt let this bother me
    Totally ignored all the hate and user score on metacritic and everything Went on with the journey and Here's my final thought It's not like the first game in terms of story telling
    And Its not something that many people expected A joel and ellie wholesome story The development in these two characters is what most people expected
    And they think it wasnt fulfilled So i get why people are upset over joel's death
    But i honestly feel like we got plenty of joel and ellie throughout the story.

    Even if joels death was rushed
    Doesn't mean it was terrible
    It made sense at least to me
    And yes like everyone else i hated abby at first for killing my favourite character
    And i honestly didnt wanted to play as abby
    But slowly it really got to me and i think most of us wanted to explore the world of last of us
    See how far civilisation has come in an apocalyse
    And the world is build up
    We got more clear view of the world from abby's perspective The whole WLF and Seraphites thing
    It surely deserves a lot more praise
    And Doesn't deserve all the hate it’s getting for expanding the story and the world I really felt a deep connection between characters
    Ellie and dina didnt have the best bond and it was pretty cringey at times
    You get to see jesse and ellie
    The wholesome flashbacks are really something i loved And what made me like abby as a character is the bond she made with lev and yara the way they went through all the chaos
    And how she was portraited to be a good person with a grudge against joel.
    well she had a valid reason behind it.
    Also We've seen how far ellie pushed herself for serving justice to joel
    It also opened up a window at the end of the story which is very interesting.

    Things that i disliked about the game.

    At first i didnt like the character design of abby but it made a lot of sense later on
    And i really feel like the sex scene of abby and owen was unnecessary really.

    But those are very minor issues compared to what the game really delivers Just like first game
    This one left me on edge
    And i cant wait to find out what's next

First off, the game was one of the most anticipated games of 2020. I can say that The Last of Us part 2 will hold a place in my heart. The game has so many heart-wrenching moments. It's uplifting and moving. From the minute I finished playing the game I can't keep it out of my mind and the weighted expectations that a sequel to one of the most heralded game stories of all time will inevitably carry with fans.     I really have to say that I love this game. I don’t see the problems others have with it. To me this is a well written and well played game. Visually it is stunning probably the best looking game I have played. Naughty Dog deserves praise for putting this game together the way they did. Loved the first game and I have the same love for this one.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. How far your willing to go for revenge? Ellie & Abby story for revenge was gripping at my heart strings from beginning to end. Those that helped in their quest for revenge got what came to them. Most of them died but that those who survived in the journey are forever marked by that experience. A lesson learned that for those who wish to walk that road. Ask yourself... Are you willing to sacrifice your loved ones and innocent bystanders to get what you want? Ellie learned at the end of the day, with all that blood in her hands it wasn't worth it anymore.
    Personally Abby should have died but she did suffered enough at the end when her friends and lover died... her body was also tortured and abused then left to bake in the sun. Thinking about Lev as well as his actions... loses and torture throughout the story. Abby was the only person he has in this life. Should ellie take that from him? Would she or even Joel be ok with all this? Hard to say but in my gut I knew killing abby wasn't the answer.

    Story aside I loved the puzzles, safe cracking solving, scenery and graphics! The game is very beautiful and polished. 10/10 a very thought provoking game.    … Expand

    I was sceptical at the beginning, but every hour my scepticism went away. Gameplay and graphics are amazing, world and atmosphere are outstanding and even without the plot it would be 9/10... But I was 100% invested in the story and ending left me speechless. It was beautiful

    El juego es impresionante. Te sumerge en todo un camino lleno de dolor, en todos los sentidos posibles, te hace nudos en la garganta y te hace vivir una experiencia inigualable con aprendizajes que los personajes desarrollaron hasta el final del juego, sin duda me quedo con The Last of Us part II como uno de los vídeojuegos más increíbles que he jugado.

    I feel like a lot of people didn't play the same game as me, because this game is absolutely wonderful. The story is very well written and full of feelings. As much as the gameplay is kinda outdated, it's mostly a pretext to keep going in the adventure. Definitely one of the best game of 2020 so far.

    Hell I even found myself kind of liking Abby by the time of Seattle day 2 of her section of the game despite what she did to Joel in the beginning - May he rest in piece :(

    I truly understand and enjoyed the take Neil Druckman took on this story as making us play as the villain and understand her in the second half. Though I still hate what she did to Joel. I understand. It was a powerful move that made me angry and depressed - which is what it's supposed to do. AKA - Not **** writing as many people claim.

    Overall I really enjoyed the game, it was playing with my emotions throughout my entire play through & was keeping immersed within the universe the entire time - I thoroughly enjoyed myself

    O jogo,leva você em uma grande aventura que traz um grande sentimento de vingança e que te faz cada vez mais querer matar a Abby.Mas,o jogo coloca você em uma gameplay duvidosa,onde você tambem joga com a Abby e tenta saber a sua parte da história,onde o jogo tenta mostrar que ela não é bem uma vilã,fazendo elas duas lutarem entre si e terem uma luta mortal pelas duas terem matados colegas de equipe tanto da Abby,tanto da Ellie.O jogo consegue ter um sentimento de raiva e de muito suspense e vários sustos,mesmo nao sendo exatamente um jogo de survival horror.

No poder hacer nada y tener todo en frente de ti es muy difícil. Ellie miraba a Joel ser golpeado, y nosotros a la vez, haciéndonos sentir lo mismo. El juego es tan maravilloso, que ya da la posibilidad de tener las dos perspectivas, desde Abby y Ellie.     In books and movies it has become very typical to have a sad ending in the end, an inconclusive ending
    But gamers are not ready for it, gamers are not ready for a story that questions them, that makes them think
    Most of them anyway, the proof is the user score for this game
    I think Naugthy Dog was too ambitious, they tried to do a biiiiig step forward and maybe they took too many risks
    The way and the timing of Joel death, you having to play as the "villain" (this game shows you there are no villains in life, no "good" vs "bad"), all the "political propaganda" (which honestly i didn't find it at all in this game) and that ending ... it was too much for the casual gamer, the gamer that plays games to escape real life
    I want to believe that Naughty Dog won't turn back because of these mixed reviews because I truly believe that this is the start of something very good for the gaming world
    No game ever has made me feel the way this game has, no book or film for that matter
    So many emotions condensed into this 25 hour (i took 21h55 on my 1st playthrough) game
    You can dislike the game and especially the story, but you can't the game or the story is objectively bad
    The music, the setting, the atmosphere, the gameplay and the attention to detail is all top notch
    The game is not perfect and it's not 10/10, no game is
    But this game deserves it only for the audacity of defying the status quo
    For anyone reading this, buy the game, experience it
    It's okay if you don't like it, it's not a game for everyone but it's an experience that will stay with me for a long, long time

This story takes place after the events of the first game, 5 years later. Ellie and Joel have settled in Jackson, and live in a thriving community Ellie has found herself a love interest, Dina. While on patrol, Ellie and Dina run into Jesse, a new
    guy. After hearing Joel and Tommy have not came back, Ellie goes to find them. We also play through the villains perspective, and shes looking for someone. After playing as her, you get saved by Joel and Tommy. I'll just get to the point. Abby, the villain, kills Joel. Ellie witnesses this while pinned down. This causes severe trauma to her, and she becomes depressed. Its sad, deep, and emotional. Now I think this makes sense. Joel is Ellies beloved friend, or father figure. And it causes her to take action and revenge. She hunts down every last one of them. You see her blinded by hate, her actions have consequences. She feels those consequences. You then see Abby's point of view. You see she has been with all the people you killed, has been friends with them. And you killed them all. Even her dog. Abby meets two scars, helps them, and becomes more of a normal person, a person with feeling's. We also learn Joel killed her dad, the doctor in part 1. That's why she kills him, she's blinded by her hate two, like Ellie. By the time Abby's story finishes, shes a human with emotions. She finds out what you did, and seeks revenge. You go to find Ellie, and you succeed. Abby kills jesse, and takes Tommy hostage. You are forced to fight Ellie, and it becomes a boss fight. You dont want to, but at this point you understand Abby. You beat the crap out of them and then, Abby spares them. You then flash forward, Ellie and Dina live a good life now. They have a kid, (Dina was pregnant with Jesse's kid). They live happily. But Ellie has PTSD from Joel's death. She can't stop remembering it, and she needs to finish it. She hunts Abby down one last time, and Abby gets kidnapped by Rattlers, a new group. So Ellie gets through and finds her, in santa barbara, tied to a pole on a beach. Shes weak, and you let her go. But Ellie wants to fight. Abby doesnt. Ellie threatens her by threatening to kill Lev, the kid. They brawl, epic and awesome brawl. And at the end, Ellies about to drown her, but doesn't do it. She remembers Joel. She cant play the guitar. She leaves it behind, and walks off.
    Thats it, credits roll. The game tells a story of hate, revenge, and the consequences of that hate, and revenge. Abby killed joel because he ruined humanity's chance, and killed her father. But in th end Abby has it worse. Ellie killed everyone, and Abby is mad. Its understandable, because you see the journey she has. The ending shows Ellie coming to forgive Joel, and she can't bring herself to kill Abby. The cycle of revenge would just continue, and nothing would be solved. She knows joel is gone,
    hes not coming back. Her not being able to play the guitar, and joels song, is her moving on past Joel. The Ellie we know is gone, and that would've worsened if she killed Abby. It makes you feel everything the game has made you do. And the question is, what would you do? What is the point when you know it went bring him back? Thats the brilliance of it. The combat is intense, visceral and impactful. Part II takes notes from MGS5 by making combat feel more fluid and offering more control to the player while still feeling measured and realistic. The level design offers the player more choice over how you approach fights and ensures you always have a path open to you even when things go south.

    The presentation is best in class for the PS4 and the soundtrack is incredibly powerful throughout, lending it's hand to enhance many memorable moments and encounters.

    Part II is an outstanding showcase for acting in videogames. Ashly Johnson gets some incredible writing to work off of and does not waste a single opportunity to show why she's considered one of the industry's best performers. Laura Bailey also produces the best performance I've seen in all her gaming roles.

    It's an absolutely unforgettable experience from beginning to end- a twisted journey of heartwarming highs and crushing lows that will leave you emotionally drained as the credits roll. The Last of Us Part II is a truly great achievement in gaming narrative and a testament to how this medium can use it's unique mechanics to provoke a strong emotional response from it's players.    … Expand

    It's a marvel in terms of gameplay and visuals, and the story is good, no one knows who is the good and who is the bad.

    The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

    Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
