    Wow, i never played something like that. I don't have words to describe that game. It's a experience for a life, a game for everyone play at least one time. So grateful for that masterpiece.

Simplesmente perfeito não tenho muito oq dizer muitos reclamam do final pois a Ellie meio que "afrouxou",desde de que ela torturou aquela mulher ela sentiu um certo remorso até então ela matar a mel e o Owen foi a gota d'água pra Ellie, mesmo assim ela continua sua jornada pra matar a Abby e no final do jogo ela percebe que matar a Abby não vai trazer o Joel de volta a vida decidindo então voltar pra Dina(além dela estar com muito peso nas costas por conta da Dina e do Tommy)… Expand

    El final es muy poético. Ellie perdonó a Abby, no porque decidiera que la venganza estaba mal, sino porque se dio cuenta de que su odio por Abby provenía de un lugar muy diferente. Ellie odia a Abby por arruinar su oportunidad de perdonar a Joel por lo que había hecho. Ella, al igual que Abby, había torturado a Joel de una forma u otra sacándolo de su vida por lo que había hecho y estoEl final es muy poético. La música simboliza la restauración de Ellie y el vínculo entre ella y Joel, pero también esta nueva ruptura revela una parte faltante de ella misma que siempre desaparecerá ahora que ha aceptado que Joel se ha ido. La pérdida de esta parte importante de su vida se puede escuchar a través de los punteos rotos de las cuerdas de la guitarra que suenan tan trágicos después de escuchar ese hermoso ritmo durante todo el juego. Es un mensaje tan trágico y hermoso de aceptar la pérdida y encontrar el perdón interior. Es una pena que la gente no entienda el final y simplemente lo limite a "la venganza es mala". Es mucho más que venganza y odio. Se trata de amor y perdón. Personalmente, creo que Joel estaría orgulloso de que Ellie se encontrara a sí misma a través del perdón en lugar de continuar con la venganza. Sacrificó a la humanidad porque creía que no tenían cura para su inhumanidad. Joel encontró la humanidad perdida en Ellie, y ella le dio la razón al final.     This game has flaws, like any other, but like the last of us 2, no other game has made me feel the emotions that this game did. It is truly a masterpiece, and one of the best pieces of evidence that videogames are indeed works of art.

Esse é um jogo para quem aprecia histórias, que entra no universo junto com os personagens, pessoas que não levam a sério a história de um game, nunca entendera a grandeza por trás de tlou part 2, boa jogatina a todos

Не понравился сюжет и финал? А кто тебе сказал что игра тебе должна приносить радость? Эту игру можно не любить, я могу понять, что вам она не понравилась, но поливать ее говном это бред.

    So good. Some people can’t accept Joel’s death. But in real life, **** does happen. This is called realism. As for the bigots, I do not want to comment on them. The game’s quality is as good as the first one’s , if not better. Graphics are gorgeous, combat system is intriguing, and the relationships are touching. One of the best in the industry. Quando digo assim “narrativa fictícia” de forma bem generalista é porque quero botar ele no patamar de grandes obras mesmo, de outros formatos, como filmes, séries, novelas, livros ou que quer que seja. Sim, essa foto aí e o assunto que tô tratando é sobre um jogo de videogame. Essa é uma formaThe Last of Us 2 foi uma das melhores experiências com uma narrativa fictícia que tive na vida. Quando digo assim “narrativa fictícia” de forma bem generalista é porque quero botar ele no patamar de grandes obras mesmo, de outros formatos, como filmes, séries, novelas, livros ou que quer que seja. Sim, essa foto aí e o assunto que tô tratando é sobre um jogo de videogame. Essa é uma forma relativamente nova de contar histórias e é até difícil descrever, pra quem não conhece, o quão intenso, emocionante e primoroso, em praticamente qualquer aspecto que possa se dizer, é esse jogo. Ele é pesado, é violento, mas ao mesmo tempo de uma sensibilidade difícil de encontrar, tratando profundamente sobre temas muito humanos, como o luto, o ódio, a vingança, mas também amor, arrependimento e perdão, desenvolve os personagens de um forma que vc vai quase sentindo essas coisas todas junto com eles, e esse, na verdade, é o grande diferencial de um videogame, ele tenta simular que vc está lá na história (teve uma hora q era tanto botão que eu apertava q tava pra ter um troço tentando impedir uma morte de uma personagem rsrsrsr). E mesmo já tratando desses sentimentos mais individuais, vai além, há ainda questões gerais como o fanatismo religioso, autocracias e as consequências disso para os indivíduos. Contudo, se isso tudo já não bastasse pra ser uma obra prima, tem a cereja do bolo, e essa aqui é mais pra quem é militante ou tem tendências à esquerda. The Last of Us 2 tá tendo uma campanha de depreciação na internet contra ele (talvez essa seja minha motivação principal pra estar escrevendo isso inclusive), não sem motivos, pois infelizmente uma parte expressiva dos autointitulados “gamers hardcore”, na verdade, são extremamente conservadores e alguns casos até fascistas e incel, e esse mesmo pessoal é quem está na empreitada de ódio contra o jogo. Ocorre que como toda grande obra, The Last of Us é influenciado pelas contradições de seu tempo, neste caso específico, o jogo é influenciado pelo melhor das lutas ao redor do mundo nos últimos anos, a luta feminista e também a luta dos LGBTQ (não deu tempo de ser influenciado pela explosão do antifascismo e antirracismo recente infelizmente). Normalmente jogos desses de grande orçamento, pra cumprir suas metas de lucros, voltada à multinacional que os produz, tenta agradar todo mundo. Os criadores, nesse caso, não fizeram isso, na contradição entre realizar seu trabalho artístico e o jogo comercial que necessita de alta lucratividade, resolveram contornar a questão dando máximo de qualidade técnica e narrativa pra vender e, assim, poder afrontar diretamente toda essa base de jogadores conservadores, fazendo a continuação de um jogo que tinha um homem (ainda que muito bem construído) como protagonista, com uma mulher lésbica no papel principal. Ellie não é a primeira personagem lésbica de um videogame, mas sem dúvidas é a mais importante e melhor desenvolvida já feita, além disso, uma boa parte da história do jogo se desenvolve a partir do amor que ela sente por outra mulher, sem contar que também há uma trama de um personagem transexual em dado momento. The Last of Us 2, portanto, além de todas suas enormes qualidades técnicas, é um jogo posicionado politicamente, algo inimaginável em produtos milionários como esse há alguns anos atrás. Enfim, estou maravilhado ao ponto de fazer esse textão porque queria outras pessoas sabendo disso, mas ao mesmo tempo é algo que me incomoda, pois sei o quão inacessível vai ser isso para a maioria da população, algumas vezes eu converso com amigos sobre a inacessibilidade do cinema, mas nesse caso aqui a situação é muito pior, pois é um tipo de entretenimento extremamente caro, uma pena, pois esse jogo não deveria ser pra poucos (nem quer ser, ele é tão inclusivo que tem opção pra pessoas cegas jogarem). Tem a possibilidade de ver o gameplay de outras pessoas no youtube, vira quase um filme, mas não recomendo, essa história não foi feita pra ser assistida e sim jogada, fazer isso vai tirar grande parte do apelo emocional e até criar algumas incongruências, principalmente pra quem tá acostumado a roteiros de cinema, volto a dizer, é pra simular que está lá e não pra ser mero expectador. Enfim, se vc também tem algum nível de privilégio e já joga videogame, então jogue esse, faça-se esse favor, se não joga e teria condições pra isso, acho que esse é um bom momento pra começar.… Expand

This game is second to none when it comes to Music ,Visuals, and Gameplay.     I started playing it just when the barrage of bad reviews starts coming out. With some disappointment I started to play, but I was very surprised. The game is beautiful, full of details, with a great soundtrack and maximum emotion as in the first part. The story is consistent in its development and the narration with flashbacks is great. A worthy sequel.

    El juego visualmente es muy bueno, el apartado técnico también es de lujo. No hay bajones de frames y la iluminación es simplemente inmejorable, un deleite a la vista. El game play es similar al primero, con unas leves inclusiones. Es de esperar puesto que el primer juego era bastante sólido en usa mecánicas.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. honestly best game I've ever played! great story and emotional roller coaster. only thing I'd rather see is ellie to talk to Abby about why and understand her side a little at the end because ellie still didn't understand why abby did what she did. that's the point is to feel for both sides and that's what people aren't understanding it makes you feel for abby and understand why she did it. and by the end ellie turned out to be the better person. it sucks joel died but he probably deserved it. we all loved joel but the well placed and not confusing flashbacks made you miss him more and for abby makes you feel for her side too. I found myself rooting on ellie to kill abby even wile I played as abby but you slowly get to understand she's just a human too and a good character. By the end of the game I was yelling at my screen at ellie to not kill her that ellies better than that because we know abby been through some **** too. abby shared a lot of similarities to joel and thats what made it harder for me to want to kill her at the end. I do wish we spent more time with joel and less time with abby but I guess that's what the first games for… Expand

    Awesome game, for those who hasn't play yet but giving a bad review, just play it man, it is beautiful with a very different story thab the other games out there, i know its hurt but this game deserve a try...post apocalyptic era has so many unpredictable moments and tlou 2 captured very well..i love you naughty dogs

    I've been a die-hard TLOU fan since the day the first game launched in 2013. I have waited for 7 years and Naughty Dog did not disappoint.

    Amazing game. Story is elaborate, going to places I never thought possible with surprises around every corner. Gameplay is top-notch, extremely realistic and immersive (especially on Survivor difficulty). My advice is to play it for yourself,    I've been a die-hard TLOU fan since the day the first game launched in 2013. I have waited for 7 years and Naughty Dog did not disappoint.

    Gripping and entertaining story, shockingly beautiful scenery, well acted, well animated, good level design. Playing this made me feel scared, triumphant, sad, and ultimately drained by the end - in the best possible way. Don't believe the negative press, it's a righteous successor to the first game.     The cinematic's in the game compared to gameplay graphics are almost identical, and so beautiful. Definitely something you'd see from a tv show or a movie.

    CON'S:
    - The AI in the game can be kinda buggy, but it's not a constant reoccurring thing and only happens through certain parts of combat.
    - Don't play on a monitor with insane screen delay, it will be hard to play with.

    Would I recommend (Spoiler free): if you liked the first game, absolutely. Game-play was long (It took me 34 hours in moderate difficulty) and the combat in the game is like nothing I’ve ever seen in a video game. It truly is advanced, and to be honest I’d love to see a Tomb Raider with this type of combat. Story wise, it’s pretty good. It’s kind of predictable but something as simple as that could make a game. When I played the first half of the game it was AMAZING, I loved it. When I started the second half of the game with Abby, my opinion was “goddamn-it, do I really have to play this for 10 hours?” But about 3 or 4 more chapters into the second half of the game it really grew on me and made me bond with the characters- so do NOT let that discourage you from continuing. My feelings conflicted with the final scene of the game and that’s what I feel really made the game something worth while. Of course, after that major scene, were left with the final cinematic which is honestly truly the saddest scene I’ve ever seen, and maybe the best. If you get stuck in your head sometimes, you'll understand what was going through in Ellie's head throughout the journey, and it will make your heart feel for both Ellie and Joel.

    [SPOILERS AHEAD: All the rumors of the game and explaining them.]

    Joel does die about an hour and a half to two hours into the game. However, without his death there is no game, since the whole story plot revolves around Joel dying. Sure they could live a happy life, but the game couldn't have just picked up right after the hospital, we had to get a sense of Ellie growing up, and a sense of the new world. Ellie's immunity story-line is OVER. There's nothing more to do with that since the Fireflies are now dis-banned or mostly deceased from the Hospital. Even though Joel dies 2 hours into the game, you will still get heartfelt scenes and flashbacks with Joel. Abby is NOT a transgender. She is a women, and she looks masculine because heavy weights help her become stronger and relieve the stress, as she can some day avenge the death of her father. However, there IS a transgender in the game, a little boy named Lev who was banished from his tribe for his actions. Throughout the game, we were given the impression from the WOLVES that Joel was a bad guy for killing the Fireflies at the hospital and saving Ellie from her destined death. You have to understand why these people (and Ellie) were actually angry over a selfish act Joel had done. He could have potentially saved mankind, which leaves to my final misconception explanation: There is no cure to the virus. If you read every note, a few doctors and FEDRA soldiers have mentioned that the situation of the virus would not bring the zombies back to a humane mindset and ultimately will be unable to become human. (For some reason, some people seem to believe this is possible, as this is a fantasy game, it still does take realistic factors). The cure would only work for those alive and uninfected, however their chances of dying from the infected, still is a possibility as they cannot get infected directly from the virus they could still die by; bleeding out, getting overran, eaten alive, and so-on.    … Expand

    Unfortunately, so many people are missing out on playing the sequel or posting a review on here without even playing the game because of these things. That being said the game is incredible and in some ways even better than the original. The graphics, environments, level design, music, pacing, combat, and UI are all some of the best of this console generation. Now for the part that everyone seems to be complaining about and why they're review bombing every single user review site.

    The storyline and new characters introduced in this game are amazing. The first Last of Us is one of my all-time favorite video games, if not my favorite, and I've beaten it multiple times. I never expected this game to meet the bar that the first game set but somehow it did. I do not want to post any spoilers but I will say that the game is directly tied to the decision that Joel makes at the end of the first game. For some reason, it appears that many people forget that the decision he made to kill multiple Fireflies in order to save Ellie was morally ambiguous. Joel's decision to save one life over the lives of the Fireflies and potentially hundreds if not thousands of people that would have been saved because of a cure for the virus was not a black and white ending. Joel and Ellie were not and are not in the sequel morally-pure characters. It's what makes them good characters and not stereotypes of ones usually represented in stories about zombies or virus outbreaks.

    That is exactly where the sequel picks up. Joel has to wrestle with the consequences that he faces for this decision and how it will affect everyone around him especially Ellie. The narrative in this game is told out of order as the player weaves through multiple playable characters' storylines. What makes this game's truly incredible and unique though is how it shows the side of the antagonists. We get to see how Joel and Ellie's oftentimes extremely violent actions impact the lives of the people they kill as well as their family and friends. I don't want to say much more than that due to potentially stating any spoilers. If you've heard spoilers or rumored plot points give the game a fair chance. You can't truly experience a game until you've played it. If you've managed to avoid all spoilers then go in with an open mind. I highly doubt that you won't enjoy it in some way.

    Naughty Dog has done the impossible. Each game in their history has continually raised their bar for their ability to tell outstanding stories through the medium of video games. They've learned from their previous games and created one of the most highly polished games of this console generation and all time. Don't miss out on experiencing it.    … Expand

    loved it. the world is brutal and ruled by sociopaths and those desperate to survive. This is the only way it could have ended without doing a disservice to the mythology. It's a technical masterpiece that begs people to look outside their comfort zone and outside their perspective, an increasingly challenging request these days. Bravo Naughty Dog Team

    The gameplay is very good and fluid, the story is somewhat repetitive but does not lose the thread of the plot, the graphics are excellent and you can see the detail they did in all this time; you fall in love with the characters and the stories that collectible documents contain. undoubtedly the best farewell game for play 4; cyberpunk has it hard.

    The game is amazing, not better than the first but really keeps you on the edge of your seat and gives you that heavy dose of reality with amazing scenery. Despite what everyone says I really think people need to actually play this with an open mind or at least watch a fully playthrough. Neil and the crew at Naughty Dog did a fantastic job. I'm starting my second run on the game now.

    I can only honestly believe that the people giving this game low scores are people who haven’t actually played the game at all. It’s a freaking masterpiece.... it is a story that is both heartbreaking and intense.... but what else should you expect from a post apocalyptic world!?

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The anticipation that spans years for a sequel to our favorite franchises should always feel worth the wait. From the original released in 2013, a classic tale that will forever impress and influence future game makers forever, to it’s following act in 2020, a journey in which I have never felt more connected to in my entire life. I felt as if I had to explore every corner of this game, every rag, every bottle, every journal entry, I wanted to experience it all. I tried as much as I could to prolong my adventure, I explored every inch of every area, opened every drawer I could, cracked as many safes as I found. I didn’t want this game to end. And when it did, I felt broken. When I found out that spoilers had been released for this game, I stayed off of social media for days. I didn’t see anything, I went into the story knowing absolutely nothing besides the official trailers that had been released. I didn’t know that Joel would die. The idea had popped into my head, particularly when Abby and Owen are discussing the town in Jackson at the beginning, questioning if “he” might be inside. When Abby ends his life, you do more than resent her. You want her dead. In that moment, you take on the journey as Ellie and pray that you never have to be put into Abby’s shoes again. But then it happens. And you don’t want her in front of your screen, you want Ellie back. But you keep playing. And you slowly begin to understand why she killed Joel. You still hate her, but why am I empathizing with her? Naughty Dog has a special way of connecting you to their characters. How could I go from hating someone’s guts to feeling bad for them? Especially when I felt so devoted to Joel and Ellie? It’s safe to say, however, I was extremely hesitant when knowing what was about to happen while approaching the theatre with Lev by my side. Having to be the one on the other side hurting Ellie broke me. But, having to fight Abby as Ellie also broke me. I think that’s what makes this game so great. You may not agree with any of the characters, you may hate them all, you may love them all. You may hate the story. You could hate Naughty Dog. But you can’t deny that they succeeded in doing what a video game is supposed to make you do: feel something; even if it’s all negative. The Last of Us Part II destroyed me. I feel an emptiness inside of me after stepping away from this game that I can’t explain, and that’s what a story should do. That is why I’m giving this game a perfect score. I could sit here and talk about the beautiful and seamless combat and gameplay. But we as humans, we don’t always think of those things first when remembering our favorite games/tv shows/movies. We think of how they made us feel. And this game made me feel emotions I never felt before. It was worth the 7 year wait.… Expand

    Ellie cannot live a fairy tale simply because the first game never aimed for it. It is cruel but it is true. Ellie has a much bigger purpose in all of this. She has a cure for humanity. And that's the beauty of the ending. The final memory with Joel makes her wake up. "My life has a purpose, and it is above a desire for revenge and a desire to live an ordinary life." So she lets Abby live, lets go of the guitar, grab her backpack and sets out to find her purpose. Thats the beautiful of the game. Abby gets real before that. The desire for revenge deflected the purpose and took everything away from them both. And Tommy! I believe that part 3 (if happens) will work on the redemption of Ellie and Dina in search for a cure.     The original Last of Us isn't my favorite game of all time, but it's definitely in the top 15 or so. While playing through Part II, I often asked myself which game I liked more. Even now, it's still hard to decide.

    That's because, as someone who managed to avoid all leaks and spoilers before playing the sequel, I loved my time with both games. Part II in particular was so gripping that I was glued to my controller almost nonstop and often kept playing until at least 5am. If I wasn't playing, I thought about playing and wanted to know what would happen next.

    Most reviews start with graphics and sound; but while they're both phenomenal, I'll start with what is for most people the most important part of the game: the gameplay. Most of what you do in this game involves combat, exploration, scavenging, crafting, and environmental puzzle solving. All of these elements work well, with various little improvements over the first game such as enhanced mobility, Ellie having a permanent knife, and dodging. There were several navigation puzzles and safe combinations that were satisfying to solve, which I did without ever looking up the solutions online. The combat is visceral and dynamic on hard, which is the difficulty I recommend for a first playthrough if you've played the first one, which you should anyway for the plot.

    Which brings me to the next section, which has been the most controversial. The story in the game is definitely heavy, emotional, and not told in a linear way. Those who had the plot ruined with spoilers and leaks probably judged it without context before playing, and/or it was difficult to experience it in the game without the negativity associated with the leaks. The following is probably controversial in itself, but I actually liked the plot and how it was told. Without spoiling anything, the game takes big risks rather than playing it overly safe. Its handling of Abby is something that I don't remember any other game doing like this. There were several moments in which I was genuinely shocked but interested to see how things would play out. It's refreshing for events to be so unpredictable, which is possible for those who haven't had everything spoiled.

    The game overall has a nice flow. You'll find yourself in closed spaces, in open spaces, indoors, outdoors, at varying times of day, in multiple climates, and with different weather effects. You'll face combinations of human enemies of different factions and infected enemies. There are happy, sad, calm, and tense moments. The shifts in environments, enemies, emotion, combat, exploration, and puzzle solving keep things mostly fresh.

    As I mentioned before, the graphics and sound are amazing. I probably took over a hundred screenshots of the game while playing. I often found myself amazed by the lighting, animations, and environmental design. I often stopped to take in the details of every living space more than I normally do in games. I read every note and thought about the characters who lived and died there. One complaint here is that the camera tends to automatically move in camera mode; but otherwise it has a ton of features including filters and various sliders.

    Altogether, the various elements of this game come together to create an emotional but amazing experience. I've started a second playthrough and look forward to a third game in the series. There are a few nitpicks here and there; but to dismiss the rest of the game just because of one or two plot points is, in my opinion, unjustified.

    Pros:
    • Breathtaking graphics and animations
    • High-quality sound effects and voices
    • Tense, dynamic combat
    • Tons of optional exploration with resources and lore to find
    • Satisfying puzzles that aren't too difficult
    • Memorable characters
    • Emotional moments
    • Great level design
    • An Encounters mode that lets you jump into combat from the main menu
    • Tons of accessibility and other options
    • Full voice acting for Spanish, French, and Portuguese
    • Usually quick load times after dying
    • The Chapters menu option shows how many of each collectible you found
    • Unlockable 3D models with hair physics

    Cons:
    • No cutscene viewer
    • Glitchy cutscenes that seem to be skippy or show an in-game view for at least a frame or two
    • The camera sometimes moves on its own in camera mode
    • There could've been a few more unlockables, such as outfits, a horde or challenge mode, and/or an in-game soundtrack

It is a tale of the harsh truths of the quest for revenge. This is not a feel-good revenge story, where the hero mows through mobs of faceless villains before vanquishing their main foe in a climactic final battle. This game will force you to watch the brutal consequences of your actions. You'll be disappointed in protagonists you once rooted for, and you'll cheer on antagonists you probably wished death upon. You'll learn that the good guys aren't always true paragons, and aren't immune to receiving their comeuppance when it's well-earned. If you enjoy thinking about your entertainment for days after it's over, rather than being mindlessly bombarded with flashy explosion, then this game is for you.

    I'd like to briefly address the unhelpful negative reviews on this site. These reviews are written by upset individuals who feel they can no longer identify with the main characters that they'll be playing as. It is honestly sickening to see how little empathy there is in the gaming community as evidenced by these early reviews. I spent the better part of my weekend since the release playing this game, and waited until I finished and digested the ending to write this review. I highly doubt the same could be said for the tens of thousands of negative reviews.

    To those who are writing these terribly uninformed reviews, I ask that you learn to put yourself in another's shoes. It's a shame that we've come so far in this medium, and the moment there's a change that makes real progress with respresentation, this is the result. Yes, the story is bleak; that's kind of the point of this revenge story. Seeking revenge ends with what you see in the game's powerful ending. If you left feeling empty and hollowed out, then congratulations, you have learned to empathize. Use that empathy to accept that there are gamers of all races, genders, and cultures who enjoy being represented in their entertainment, and cheer on game studios who are willing to use their platform to make strides towards inclusivity in this wonderful medium.    … Expand

    By far the most immersive and emotional experience I've had in arguably all of gaming. From the flawed characters to the amazing set pieces, this game is nothing short of a masterpiece. All I can say is play it yourself, and don't read up on anything. Just play it.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The Last of Us Part II is a brutal, twisted and divisive masterpiece. I've been waiting 6 years to play this new game and I was not disappointed. The gameplay was incredible, graphics were unbelievable, music was beautiful yet daunting; but I want to focus on the story because this is where it trips most people. Part II is incomparable to its predecessor due to an entirely different narrative perspective and theme. Naughty Dog takes story telling to a whole new level in the gaming industry where other franchises are too afraid to touch. The direction they took was very admirable and respectable.

    Part I crafts a beautiful father-daughter relationship from complete strangers. I love that Part II isn’t a repetition of that same idea. Instead of growing Joel and Ellie's relationship, they sadistically fueled their fans with anger and turmoil from the get-go to prove that they are willing to take risks. As disheartening and totally gruesome as Joel's death was, I didn't want to give up on the game just because my favorite character was gone. I wanted to take revenge on all those people alongside Ellie.

    Part II's theme of revenge seems clear enough journeying as Ellie. However, when you switch to Abby, you quickly realize she has more cause for concern. This expansive section of the game allows the player to sit with their emotions and maybe think twice if Ellie's actions. I couldn't help but feel sorry for her as she converses with her friends without knowing it would be their last time. Abby's story had a strong arc and was the backbone to lift the story. She grew from a hardened killer to a woman offering forgiveness, similar to Joel.

    Ellie’s revenge quest comes to an end as she realizes Abby isn’t the answer. The only way to move on and forgive Joel is by forgiving herself. The beauty of this game is that one storyline can be perceived in a hundred different ways. Naughty Dog understands this game will divide their fan base. Rather than falling back on a easy-to-please storyline, they narrated a very specific story in a bold and fresh way.    … Expand

Honestly I didn’t want to like the story either but when I actually PLAYED THE GAME I thoroughly enjoyed it the whole way through. The new infected are down right terrifying. It can be quite long and upsetting, but it pays out. The game broke me emotionally. My only complain would be that in the first battle between Ellie and Abby, you are forced to play as Abby and I think that it would have much better if you played as Ellie and let everything the same. Ellie still loses and the story continues. As the gamer plays as Abby, it is quite obvious that the game is not over. And if you played with Ellie it could be quite shocking watching her lose and then continue the story. Other than that, I absolutely loved it. Sorry if my English is bad, I speak Spanish as first language.… Expand

    The Last of Us 2 is perfect. It brought me to my knees time and time again with it’s unapologetic loyalty to the VERY poignant and important themes it took on. I loved everything about it, start to finish, even if it hurt. The dedication to character development and the way it leads your heart through the game....let’s just say I couldn’t believe how I felt and who I was rooting for at theThe Last of Us 2 is perfect. The gameplay is very good and the graphics is so phenomenal for ps4 (i dont even know how ps4 can run this game). Maybe alot of you really hate the stories because the way Naughty dog treat joel ( actually i kinda sad because of it) and the way ellie forgives abby and let her go in the end of the game ( she lost everything). In the end tlou 2 is a game not a movie so you have to play it and you will understand why this game is good or bad. I dont say that everyone will love the stories but atleast you will like the gameplay or the beauty of the graphics. For me its up to you to say that this game is very bad after play the game but when you rate this game 0 and youre not play the game yet your argument, your rating is invalid. I was just in a random arcade filled with all sorts of perfectly detailed machines and games. Some of the complaints I've seen are just so bizarre. You're ok with killing hundreds of humans but it bothers you to kill an attack dog? I think there's a bit of generational disconnect going on here that parallels our political environment. Unfortunately a large portion of people can't separate their political know-it-all behavior from enjoying a video game and that's just awful for them. It's so rare to feel like you are playing something that is not only moving the medium forward in new and unprecedented ways, but also transcends and subverts all expectations in regards to narrative and storytelling. People complaining that Joel was “dumbed down” aren’t taking the 4 years of peacefully living, in a town filled with people he has to rely on and where they let outsiders pass through, into account at all. Also anyone complaining about the SJW agenda... you do remember Ellie was already a lesbian in the first game right? And I mean how dare they have a diverse cast of characters of different backgrounds? Like are you people serious. I will say I can see how some people don’t like Abby but I enjoyed her a lot. She’s not an evil person. She went on a revenge quest. The same damn thing Ellie did. Like I get it she killed Joel but he killed her father. This whole game speaks to the consequences of revenge and is reminding you that the “enemies” are real people who have lives and loved ones. It’s a series of actions and consequences that felt real. The ending was “bad” because the characters made selfish decisions and paid the consequences, Especially Ellie. A happy ending would have been nice, I honestly would have loved the game just as much if it had ended with Ellie giving up her revenge before losing Dina, but the ending we got was much more real.… Expand

    Last of Us can't be bettered, but this comes really close to doing that. I didn't expect to get the feeling that this story should just go on forever, but somehow naughty dogs pulled it. A true masterpiece.

I have not experienced such a spectrum of feelings for a long time. This is an exciting experience. Everyone has to go through this game and understand the importance of the thought.     The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
