The Last of Us Part II is a Masterpiece and will never be forgotten, its sad to see all of the hate surrounding this game but most of those people either havent played the game at all or played for 2 hours then stopped, killing joel sucks but its whats best for this story, Abby may be a heavily disliked character but she sure is badass

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I totally understand, that people don´t like the development of their beloved characters. Really, I know. I was shocked too, after what happens in the first few hours.
    But, and this is what I give Naughty Dog big credit for, it is the most realistic scenario I have ever seen in a video game. Even teh switch between characters makes sense to me. I was filled with hatred, but then I started to realize that there is another perspective of seeing things from a different character with a different point of view. In a post-apocalyptic world, wouldn´t we all do what Ellie tries to do, vice versa wouldn´t we all try to do what Abby did?
    It really is kind of brave to do a video game like this one. And for sure Naughty Dog knew too well, that there will be a lot of disappointment within the community.
    But for me, the way of storytelling and the Story itself is really brilliant. And very tough to deal with.
    At the end I had it all, Hate for the first hours, indecision in the middle, and by the end I had sympathy for all the leading characters.

    After the first one, I was also hoping for a "they lived happily ever after"...but in a world like this, it makes sense, that someone comes after you, after what you did in the end of Part 1.

    So, blame me, but I am still thinking about the ending and the game itself. I really love it. And just like after the first game´s ending I hope that "they will NOW live happily ever after".    … Expand

Kudos to Naughty Dog for their meticulous exploration of revenge and at the same time representing trans-struggle in a groundbreaking way in terms of gaming.     A mi tampoco me gustó la forma como se desarrolla la historia y la manera como te manipulan pero después de un tiempo reflexionas y aprendes a vivir con ello, ahí empiezas a disfrutar la historia de verdad. En jugabilidad y tecnicamente es un 10/10. La historia y la narrativa 9/10. Aún así, entiendo a quienes se han cabreado aunque no considero eso suficiente como para venir a llorar aquí a colocar 0 o 3. Lo mejor es que quien esté interesado en el juego lo juegue y se haga su propia opinión.    … Expand

    An absolute rollercoaster of emotions and anxiety. You literally feel immersed into the characters and their lives / roles inside the incredible & beautiful environments. I believe it to be a masterpiece of a sequel, and the immense detail and design put into the game is phenomenal. 10/10

    trama coinvolgente, emozionante e semplice ma con una narrazione è degna del miglior campione d'incassi al cinema con qualche allungamento di brodo.

Pessoal mais novo quer apenas histórias com destaques heroicos e situações de quase-morte, onde os personagens só se fortalecem com situações de perigo. No caso do jogo, a morte de um dos personagens principais choca, mas é coerente com uma possível realidade apocalíptica.

    Essa galerinha que está achando ruim, em minha opinião, é a mesma que acha que, em um apocalipse zumbi, sairia mantando vários zumbis com pistola, rifle, etc. Mas na verdade, se isso realmente acontecesse, só teriam, malemá, uma faca de churrasco ou um martelo encontrado na caixa de ferramentas do pai.    … Expand

    No te dejes llevar por las mil críticas negativas cuando recién salía el juego, aún no lo tenían en sus manos pero ya criticaban mil y una cosa, este juego hay que vivirlo y valorarlo tu mismo. Pará es maravilloso.

This is a game which you need to play it allowing your feelings to flow and get think about what is going on in every single characters mind all the time.     This game is simply beautiful, I finished it in 25h41 on 66h41, I cried 5 or 6 times easily, I was upset, the graphics, the soundtrack, the gameplay, the story, everything in the game is perfect, thank you Naughty Dog for this new masterpiece, these are clearly my favorite games with the first.

The character had it coming, could they have done it better? Yes? Do they show context? Yes.. Its has been two days since the general public has gotten to play it and they are blatantly hating on it because of its gender politics and its game's introduction.They have written reviews without finishing the game and after finishing it I understand why they made the decisions they made throughout the story.Its gorgeous not only graphics wise but also on a story perspective.     Absolutely mind bending the way things die in this game. Whether it be blowing someone in half with an explosive arrow or taking their bottom jaw off with a baseball bat. The combat is so satisfying. Everything has a weight to it. Story is a mind bender and if you didn’t read spoilers, you’ll be in for a very good story.

    Best game of this console generation. Period. People need to get over a character arch they don’t like and stop being bigots. Half these people probably haven’t played the game or not more than the first couple hours. Metacritic staff, please get rid of these review bombers probably sent by Franklin Graham or Liberty University because they hate LGBTQ people.

    Эта игра, я бы сказал с действительно сложным сюжетом, который может разочаровать многих фанатов первой части. И тут надо или смириться с произошедшем, или с пеной у рта орать какая игра это гавно (что ошибочно). Большинству людей, очень трудно будет это принять, но такие вещи случаются в зомби-апокалипсис. Концовка, я бы не сказал, что меня она разочаровала, но сценаристы поступили не совсем правильно. Всю игру беспощадно расправлялись с персонажами, а под конец, решили все перевернуть. (Я так странно выражаюсь, чтобы не заспойлерить). Как ни странно, у Naughty Dog получилось даже заставить меня сопереживать Эбби, главному противнику Элли, хотя и огромная количество геймплея за неё, выглядит как филлер. Я хочу видеть противостояние Элли и Эбби, а меня на самом интересном месте прерывают и говорят - иди туда, надо помочь этим персонажам, которые лишь косвенно влияют на историю. И я несколько часов занимаюсь всем, но не тем, что хотел бы видеть. Очень спорное решение студии, которое многих может оттолкнуть. Феминизма и СЖВ повестки в игре минимальное количество. Элли и Дина да, ЛГБТ пара, но в этом ничего такого серьезного нет. Был момент, что девушки даже не смогли открыть банку с травой (пропаганда слабых женщин?).Есть один персонаж вроде бы девочка, но для всех он мальчик (но надо отдать должное студии - это выглядит даже лаконично, никак не влияет на атмосферу игры и не выглядит через чур глупым). Есть сцена гетеросексуального секса - и она очень откровенная, но... боже, из-за физического сложения персонажа, она выглядит не возбуждающи. Главная проблема, как по мне - это то, как выглядит Эбби. За нее мы играем примерно треть игры ( я прошел за 25-26 часов, и 8 часов там играл за Эбби). Честно говоря, мне было не очень было приятно играть за девушку, сложенную как бодибилдер (хотя и в игре нам объясняют как она пришла к такому состоянию). Если она выглядела более привлекательной, хотя бы не такой раскаченной, играть было бы гораздо комфортнее. Многим подорвало пердачелло с того - что как они могут так сливать персонажей!? Ну тут у меня есть ответ, даже Дина об этом упоминает под конец игры - эти персонажи тоже люди, в этом жестоком мире пост-апокалипсиса, они просто мешки с мясом и костями, они умирают точно так же, как и сами убивали. То есть, проходя игру за Элли, я убил от 40 до 100 человек, и некоторые из них появлялись в компании Эбби, у них были диалоги, шутки, семьи, они были живыми, их показали такими же людьми, как команда Джексона Томми, Мария, Джоел, Дина, Элли. Эту мысли и пытались донести Naughty Dog. Я поставлю 10 из 10, чтобы поддержать студию.    … Expand

I hope, so they don't get pulled away from a unique experience that some seem to struggle getting around with...

This game is a huge step for the industry in terms of graphics, animations levels and the amount of details there are in area, it's simply the most technologically advanced game that I have ever played and there is no doubt about it. Although you can't really say the same for the gameplay as its pretty much the same as in the first game, although there are some tweaks which have been added, the gameplay however has become way more refined and its a lot of fun to explore around seatle and have gun fights. The story of the game has been getting a lot of hate and yes it is true that the first game had a much more of an emotional story, the second one was still superb. By showcasing us the 2 sides of the story it has allowed me to actually question some of the things which Ellie has done and to also see to what extent revenge has taken over her mind. However I do feel like some characters deserved way more time on the screen, such as Dina and Jesse as I feel the relationships which Ellie had with them could have been more explored. There are also problems with the pacing of the story as it only took Ellie 3 days to kill Joel's killers and because of that it felt extremely rushed, so I wish the game was a bit longer so there could be better pacing in the game. The ending was also quite questionable in regards that it didn't really explain what happened afterwards in Seattle but it's mostly due to pacing issues. Nevertheless the game deserved to be played and its one of the best games I ever played. I can't wait to see what's next for this game and franchise… Expand

    Cmon guys, the users are hating on this games for no reason, it's an absolutely brilliant game. Looks beautiful and the gameplay is fresh and stealth mechanics are amazing . Maybe the storytelling could have been lil better but it doesn't leave a bad taste in our mouth once it ends. The acting is top notch and action set pieces are best from the company. Definitely a recommend. One of theCmon guys, the users are hating on this games for no reason, it's an absolutely brilliant game.     Si bien me hubiese gustado jugar y tomar más parte para asimilar que YO soy Joel cómo en el primer juego, y alguna que otra escena alternando mientras se contaba la historia de Abby , siento que el juego te obliga a sentir empatía por alguien que no conoces y al fin y al cabo un villano desde el punto de vista de Ellie quien es nosotros.     For all those who are rating the game low, without experiencing the full story, are just missing out. It seems they designed this game to be a mindf***. Throwing up ideas of who was wrong who was right, and serious implications of the repercussions of your actions. Brilliant game. Graphics, sound (!), great story and characters. 10/10

    The Last of Us Part II is an amazing game, and the sequel with everything I could hope for as a fan after the first game. Naughty dog has created another masterpiece.

    Anyone who says anything different due to the main characters is a homophobic, misogynistic idiot and can't relate to anything other than a heterosexual man as a main character.

    Un jeux magistral d'une part sa narration estexcellente d'une autre part son game play qui a su se réinventer par rapport au premier sans pour autant nous perdre dans un trop plein de nouveauté. Le jeux est tout autant contemplatif que le premier, nous ne que au début de cette décennies et le je et le jeu se place comme étant déjà l'un des meilleurs de celle ci.

    Un excelente gameplay brutal y crudo, que nos hace sentir cada golpe, cada apuñalada y cada disparo. La historia tiene unos giros muy inesperados y una vez mas naughty dog nos deja en claro que en el mundo de the last of us no hay heroes ni villanos, solo personas tratando de buscar algo por qué luchar, algo para seguir sobreviviendo. Sin duda uno de los mejores juegos de la generacion.

    The game deserves its attention, it’s a pity for those young people who, most likely because of the aggressive mood towards the LGBT community or other incomprehensible moments, could not enjoy the game itself.
    Graphics, production, plot, sound are all at a very high level.

To me, this game isn't for "SJW LGBT people", it's just for people, fans of the first, people who felt like they knew Ellie and Joel in the first game. This game is a demonstration of how far you could go to gain closure for losing a loved one, and with this it shows how Ellie mourns throughout with use of the guitar and her dreams/flashbacks, she really misses Joel and you can feel that, I wouldn't say it is perfect, but the ending is so poignant because she lost her one connection to Joel, her music. I feel like even with Dina, this game is still about Joel and Ellie, and how important he was to her. Abby was a good addition because we get to see her character fill Joels role for a young Lev, which isn't done too obviously. In the end Ellie breaks the cycle and chooses not to kill Abby meaning she isn't like Abby was, or Joel, she's stronger. To me this game really makes you think and I know that for me, it's console defining… Expand

    Amazing storytelling, amazing animations, great characters and acting, beautiful landscapes, perfect interactions... Overall a really impressive and exciting game. Forget about "agendas", this is a great, worthwhile experience for any real gamer in this generation. Don't miss it just because of the bitterness of bigots; keep enjoying great things.

These out of context scenes have spread false rumours about the characters and cast, and led to toxicity amongst the fan base. Joel’s fate in this game should not have surprised many fans of the game. The amount of obvious red herrings within the marketing and Ellie’s quest for vengeance revealed this. The story is nuanced and ultimately about moving on from trauma and accepting the path of forgiveness. It’s a beautiful story, and fleshes out the world. I’m rating it a 10 in order to help counter the ridiculous review bombing. This game is not a 0/10. If you thought Joel was the protagonist of Part 2, you clearly weren’t paying attention. Not only that but the final scene is one of the most heartwarming resolutions, and confidently wraps up the story of these two characters whilst hinting at something new.… Expand

Si ripercorre il duro rapporto che si è venuto a creare fra ellie e joel... gli attriti i rancori ... è un gioco che tratta una moltitudine di temi e che che ti fa provare una moltitudine di sentimenti, spesso diversi fra loro, questo è un capolavoro dalla grafica alle musiche dalla recitazione alla giocabilita’.

    This game is AWESOME in every way. There is nothing I would change except for close combat because Ellie feels a little too weak and dodging is not my style but except that, it is a masterpiece and most people who gave it a low score didn’t play it.

    Play the game, then decide your opinion. Don’t base if you play a game based off the Metacritic rating. This game is spectacular and an incredible technical feat, with an interesting story and greatly improved gameplay from the original, it’s a shame it has been review bombed.

    Eu simplesmente amei tudo do jogo mas destacando as vantagens em relação aos jogos da atual geração são os gráficos lindíssimos, as expressões faciais dos personagens q realmente expressão com excelência suas emoções e a imersiva jogabilidade do game, o cuidado q a Naught dog teve com este game é incrível!

Spoilers... te faz se sentir hipócrita vc fica puto com a vingança da abby quando mata o Joel ( ela vingou o pai dela ) porem apoiamos a Ellie a se vingar da abby por matar o Joel. e o final mostra como ela cresceu percebendo que a Vingança não traria nada a ela na verdade tiro dela, finalizou o game sozinha perdeu tudo. mostra bem como só se da valor quando perde, passou o inicio todo brava com o joel quando ele morreu, percebeu a falta que ele fez, e no final tinha a família dela com a dina e o bebe, abriu mão para fazer a vingança e quando percebeu já era tarde de mais e perdeu tudo novamente, ou seja só damos valor quando já é tarde de mais . historia incrível jogo que te quebra. uma otima historia na qual ninguém estava pronto… Expand

Su jugabilidad es demasiado divertida, desafiante, te hace pensar. Me encanto el sigilo te hace pensar como moverse en el pasto o en el agua. La ambientación es hermosa desde el pueblo quemándose, lo hermoso de el bosque, edificios derrumbados. No te aburres. Me encanto la exploracion lo de las cajas fuertes es un detalle que me encanto. Noice makes by infected are proper disturbing and gun fights is amazing you really can feel power of guns and what damages can make. In my opinion definitely one of best game which came out on PS4.

The graphics, game play, sounds and of course music are absolutely stunning, but everyone cares about the story which from my point of view is wonderful, in the end Ellie did the right choice by not killing Abby since she didn't deserve it and went through enough pain already. I understand that she killed Joel, but in the first game Joel did a terrible choice by trying to save Ellie...even though he couldn't lose another daughter. He doomed the whole planet by making a cure impossible to be created. He did the wrong choice...but didn't have any other option. Abby has the right to kill him however she wants. End in the end, the fact that Ellie spared Abby broke my heart. It's true that the first game had better character development and it was amazing to see Ellie and Joel trying to survive together. But after all that Ellie went through it is normal for her to be like she is now. The series is so well thought that some players can't even understand what it is about so they think that Joel did the right choice and Abby did deserve to die. This is my all time favourite game series and i hope that there will be a part 3. But please don't kill Ellie i don't think she did much wrong!… Expand

    No it's not that good. Not like the first game. But it's more than greate in it's own way. Because to compare it, is just like compare a warm-hearted story with a totally different cold one. And I think the characters are all somewhat reasonable. All the hate is just like "I don't want it that way" - "the characters are dumb" - "Elli is not as sweet as in the first game". Yeah sure - butNo it's not that good. Not like the first game. But it's more than greate in it's own way. Because to compare it, is just like compare a warm-hearted story with a totally different cold one. And I think the characters are all somewhat reasonable. All the hate is just like "I don't want it that way" - "the characters are dumb" - "Elli is not as sweet as in the first game". Yeah sure - but things can change in 4 years. Maybe there a less ambushes and Joel wasn't as sceptical (and he was somehow - like talking not that much, asking "yesterday" and stuff like that) like back than in all the q-zones. Different land - different people. And his relation and living with Tommy, settling down has maybe changed him. Elli on the other side is just on an emotional roller coaster ride and is trying to figure out what to do. She has hard moments and break downs. Abby is just a cold-hearted solider. Just like a character in the game said: "You are a bad person, Abby." And she tries to change that by helping these kids. Same as her loved person, who tries to change as well. Maybe she wants a new life. She is not following rules and is unpredictable, but hardly trained and signed by these harsh world.
    And like everybody else said: atmosphere is top notch, gameplay flows, graphics, sounds. All very very good. Like the hospital basement. Climbing down the broken building. These mediterranean's-feeling coast stuff. I liked it a lot.
    But yeah, the second part of the game has some long stretches. Could be better here and there. But overall I was pretty well entertained. And my expectations where high as well. But I wanted a different story and I got one. I am happy with that. It's a brave game. Like Sekiro. And that wasn't loved as well because expectations weren't matched. But it was still a good game in what it wanted it to be.    … Expand

    I really think that most of the people that hate the story hasn’t even taken a bit to think about how it develops. The game focused in presenting reality as it is. The game and cinematics showed us a story not anymore about Ellie and Joel, but a society instead. The last of us became bigger.     The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.
