    Cannot believe the hate this game is getting! It is undoubtably a masterpiece, everything about it: the story, writing, characters, graphics, level design, gameplay (if you liked TLoU1 gameplay, this is similar but majorly improved and much more polished).
    I just beat it and honestly feel like this holds a place among the all-time greatest single player. I feel like I was a little luke    Cannot believe the hate this game is getting!     I just beat it and honestly feel like this holds a place among the all-time greatest single player. I feel like I was a little luke warm on the narrative to begin with (I had the game spoilt for me prior to release, but turns out so many of the leaks were either BS or totally out of context) but as the game went on I feel like there story just gets more and more compelling. I think some people just need to hate this game. I’ve beaten TLoU1 at least 10 times, it’s one of my all time favourite games, and this game is, to me, vastly better in every respect.     Never before have i experienced such a "thrill" to stay alive. The environmental storytelling is (again) on point and sometimes lets you forget that you are playing in a fictional world.     Ragazzi, personalmente ho trovato il lavoro svolto dai ragazzi di Naughty Dog una ottima riuscita! Chi vota 0 o 3 non meriterebbe neanche di avere una playstation. Il problema grosso di queste persone è che prendendola troppo sul personale sentendosi feriti dentro, sfogano la loro rabbia repressa su voti che il gioco non merita.

    Don't know why people are intentionally bombing an amazing game based on the leak without even playing it. I hope it continues to break sales records so we can get a trilogy for this game.

    Once again Naughty Dog have made the defining game to bring to a close the current generation of consoles.

    The story is exceptional, the acting incredible and the game beautiful.

    I've loved every moment playing this game. I cannot understand all the day 1 negative reviews. Just a lot of butthurt homophobes and misogynistic muppets.

    People are going into this game expecting it to be like TLOU, instead of it being a continuation of it. The story of the first game was great, and this sequel compliments that story and answers many questions left by the first game, whilst asking more too.

    Druckmann said it himself, the first game was about love, this game is about hate. In the world that was established in TLOU, we learn that anything can happen. We took many lives without question, lives that had so much story behind them, and complicated people with relationships.

    I don't know about you, but I get reminded of that in this game whenever I killed a Rattler, Seraphite or a Wolf. The companions of my kill would cry out their name, and I'd feel bad. Having the same thing happen to our main characters is a bold move, but makes sense in the world of The Last of Us. Plot Armour doesn't exist in this game, and I love that.

    We knew Ellie was going to be the playable protagonist of this game. Joel's death being the reason that Ellie embarks on a bloodthirsty mission for revenge, works so well as we know of their relationship and we get sucked into the tone of the game early on. As opposed to spending hours getting to know a new character Ellie is close to, then having them killed off to ignite Ellie. That just wouldn't make sense, and seem forced.

    Abby. At the start of the game, I hated her. At the end of the game, I didn't know who to root for. Part of me didn't want to support either character, but part of me didn't want either of them to die in the final showdown. Ellie and Abby have such a great parallel, they're very similar, but Abby is a bit more compassionate than Ellie.

    Abby spared Ellie's life twice, even after she murdered all of her friends. Sure, Abby has done some **** up things, but so has Ellie, and so did Joel. In the end, Ellie had to fight with herself to let Abby live, the same decision that Abby quickly made for Ellie's life when Lev intervened.

    Ellie learnt from Abby, I hope what helped Ellie realise that taking Abby's life wouldn't make her feel any better, was the flashback of her approaching Joel. We know after that scene, is where Ellie agrees to start trying to forgive Joel for what he did at the hospital. I believe sparing Abby is her first step to forgiveness. That is HUGE character development for Ellie. She didn't want to kill Abby in front of Lev, as that would just start the cycle again and parallel Joel getting killed in front of Ellie. 18 months had passed of Lev being with Abby, I guarantee they grew really close and Lev would hunt down Ellie if Abby had been killed by her.

    Ellie abandoning her life in the woods with Dina and J.J. to seek revenge one last time, to only grant mercy and forgiveness to Abby, things start to look up for Ellie's future.

    Next scene, she's lost 2 fingers that Abby bit. As a guitarist my immediate thought was **** those are her guitar fretting fingers.".

    Walking into the house we find it empty, I put off going into Ellie's room as I was hoping it would be empty too, that Dina took Ellie's stuff and is waiting for her back in Jackson. My heart sank when her room was full of her belongings and untouched, the guitar sitting there.

    I knew she wouldn't be able to play it, but I tried so damn hard to play the song that I knew she was going to play, the one Joel wrote for her. To Ellie, her guitar playing is the last thing that relates her to Joel, and that was stripped from the same person that took Ellie's life, but Ellie isn't angry any more. Even though she has lost everything, I think she realises it's because of her own choice and actions, that she's here now, and she accepts it. Monumental character arc, I cried.

    I saw someone rate this game 1/10 because the "girls are ugly." god, some world we live in. People complaining that a game is too political because it's a diverse game that deals with and represents people that exist in REAL LIFE. YES PEOPLE, THIS **** HAPPENS IN YOUR OWN BACKYARD. GAY PEOPLE, TRANSGENDER PEOPLE, YES THEY EXIST. The apocalypse doesn't stop that **** Please remove yourself from the gene pool if that's what makes you hate this game. Abby is ****in' built like a tank, and I wouldn't **** with her lol. If you're intimidated by a muscular woman, you have no dick.

    Story of this game? ****ing brilliant.

    World building and expanding from the first game : Outstanding.

    Character Development? Phenomenal.

    Gameplay and visuals? Did you play it? You already ****ing know it's all fantastic.

    This game? 10/10, nail on the ****ing head. Now I'm off to platinum it and eagerly await the DLC.    … Expand

    I always wanted the sequel to show the world of the game from a new perspective and on behalf of another character. I like Joel and Ellie, but I wanted a new story and I got it. Emotions in the finals went wild. Thanks 10/10    … Expand

    Made an account to express my love for this game. A true masterpiece that makes you question your own beliefs and alliances. It's not surprising the game is so polarising, because it's not supposed to be an easy thing to stomach. Brutal and compelling story aside, it's the best looking and sounding game this generation. It is without a doubt a 10.

    Stunning visuals, amazing storyline and storytelling. It gets challenging at times but it's worth it. I feel sad for everyone who can't enjoy the game because they let their hatred control their life. Anyway, I strongly recommend playing this game.

    About 14 hours in and I'm loving it. As a hardcore PC gamer, it's really disappointing there's no one making these sorts of games to this quality on that platform.

    Those who are complaining just understand non-linear events I suppose. They must hate Tarantino films.

    A beautifully tough game to complete due to all the emotions that are involved with it. A brilliant storyline, showing us exactly what ND said when he says “No one is the hero.” The two playable characters are on a vengeance for what they believe is right. The graphics and new mechanics are unbelievable. Definitely one of the best games I’ve played. 10/10

I miss Joel too but i was sure he was going to die... Sure i would change some things from the story like giving Joel more time with Ellie.     This game is hard, it ask so much of the player, I get why people could hate it, it provokes you to hate, to feel empty and full of rage.     I cant understand how can give this game a 0/10 Naughty dog did everything better if its about gameplay, worldbullding and graphics. With the characters they tried something new and bold. Every decision these characters made have weight and meaning for them even if u might not understand it. Dont tell me u never did stupid decisions in your life even under easier circumstances

    I've finished the Game completely and it was great experience. Best PS 4 game so far. On the same level with GoW, but in GoW locations were much smaller and fights much more repetitive. Here you have more possibilities during fight and it's up to you will you use them or not.     Yes, I can understand why you can be disappointed after final. From my point of view is 10/10 no questions, but for someone it could be lower.

    passed the game five minutes ago. This game is incomparable, for the first time I see that the developers erase the line between the antagonist and protagonist. About the gameplay and graphics, I will stutter 10/10 for the efforts of Naughty Dog.

Tinha acabado de terminar o primeiro jogo e meu Hype estava gigantesco, e ele foi superado, pois esse jogo superou todas minhas espectativas. Uma obra-prima e com certeza um dos melhores jogos que já joguei em minha vida. O problema desse jogo com relação ao primeiro, é que ele não será uma unanimidade, não serão todos que irão gostar do jogo no fator história, mas eu gostei e muito. I actually praise naughty because they are the only company to have the balls to make a controversial game like this. I'm currently SPOILER WARNING 13 hours in and at the part of the game where you play as abby and see why she took revenge on Joel many people might not remember at the end of part 1 when Joel saves ellie the doctor that stood up to joel was actually abbys dad and he was loved in there community highly which you could probably understand why she did it. I think it takes the story even further when you see her perspective. people do not understand that this world is dark curel and depressing. this game is a lot more than what people are saying. the game had a really bad launch and was trashed by the media without knowing the whole story including youtube influencers who use this game as way to get views by making videos on the game while they said they aren't buying the game it doesn't make sense.     I read the spoilers and at first hated the idea what was ahead. After sinking a weekend into playing I’m actually thoroughly enjoying the story, Ellie’s Story. The gameplay has been really fun, classic Last of Us combat but with a new twist. The surroundings look beautiful, great graphics. I also love the fact we’ve been given some ability to free roam in certain areas, it makes the gameI read the spoilers and at first hated the idea what was ahead. After sinking a weekend into playing I’m actually thoroughly enjoying the story, Ellie’s Story. The gameplay has been really fun, classic Last of Us combat but with a new twist. The surroundings look beautiful, great graphics.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. It is incredible how many people did not understand the emotion that this game can pass. It is not a perfect game because I believe this is not possible, but this game is certainly one of the best games created to date. I believe that many people hated the game because of the death of one of the characters most loved by the players and fans of the 1 game and yes, this feeling of anger and anguish is hard and makes you wonder if the game is really worth it, but it wouldn't work without that. This game as stated by the director is about hate and revenge and there would be no greater motivation for Ellie than this one. Another point is about the gameplay with Abby, maybe you wonder why the ND makes you play with the "villain" of the game, for a good amount of hours, until you see the story behind her motivation. Since Ellie and Joel's relationship is incredible, why don't we put Abby in their place, Joel took what she loved most in the world and she focused all her energies in search of that revenge, just as she took what Ellie most loved her in the world, and that took everything away from her, the relationship with the WLF was very superficial, something just to survive, because what mattered to her was only revenge, and after that she had nothing more, but in the end she found it a reason to live that was the meeting with Lev and that even reminds us a little Ellie and Joel (and the relationship built between them in the first game is incomparable). At the end of the game, in the final battle, the game brings a feeling of anguish because you end up falling for Abby throughout the journey and end up worrying about her and at the end of it Ellie realizes that killing her will not fill the void inside her and that wouldn’t justify what she was doing. This is very clear at the end of the game, a bitter, empty feeling, because she lost everything she loved most, but she had to move on.

    About the relationship between Ellie and Dina I didn't think it was forced and it worried me a lot before the game's release, I think it flows naturally, but this is very personal to everyone

    About graphics, I have nothing to say, one of the best ever seen to date

    Gameplay very similar to 1 game with some improvements

    If there is one point that I think could improve is the variety of faces of the NPCs, it is quite repetitive and as the facial expressions are very realistic you end up remembering them.

    I only touched on the points that I think triggered these polemics of the game, it is much deeper than that and just by playing you can understand this. But this is just my opinion and I hope you respect it ;)    … Expand

É triste ver as pessoas tacando hate por causa de duas mulheres adultas tendo cenas românticas por no máximo 10 minutos, e uma mulher mais forte que João Pedro de 15 anos, que deu nota 0 para o jogo.     The game's story is indecisive at large, a lot of people love it, a lot of others hate it.
    The intro of the game is by far one of the most amazing entry's in video game history that I've seen with the amazing cinematography which seems to be inspired by Hideo Kojima's famous MGS5 one-shot cut scenes.

    The story itself is all about revenge, it's dark.
    The game isn't meant for everyone, the story it entails is dark and heartbreaking.
    There are some character deaths which has sparked controversy, which I myself personally found amazing as I filled up with hatred to continue the rest of the game.

    Personally, I love the story, but even if we take away the entire story and just focus on the game play, I would give the game a 7/10. The game on Survival is BRUTAL, It's exciting and makes you come up with hundreds of new ways to play the game. If you see a user score of 0/10 or 1/10, you should best leave it ignored, the amount of graphical achievements, art direction, game play, animations, they're way beyond anything I've seen in gaming.

    This game has surely surpassed technical leaps, to give it such a low score is disgraceful.
    While I do think the first game is better than the second one story wise, overall my experience in Part 2 was a lot more fun due to it's flashed out mechanics.

    This story is all about moral choices in a world that is cruel and you should ask yourself....Would you personally end the cycle of revenge?

    Just cause the game has characters that you love, doesn't mean they're safe, nor should they be perfect as people want them to be, and that's the beauty of this game, it's real and raw with emotion.

You may not like the direction the plot takes, but the writing itself is stellar and characters well drawn and relatable. The game is visually lush and gorgeous, and features intense gameplay, jaw dropping set pieces and some truly terrifying horror elements. I found the world to be utterly fascinating and lovedIn my opinion, you cannot be rating this game below a 7 and rating it fairly.     I loved playing this part 2 of The last of us! the game was very engaging, the graphics were sublime, and the scenario in my opinion consistent.

    The gameplay happens to be fluid and pleasant, I was totally immersed in the different events taking place in the game ! I really like the fact that the main character is part of the LGBT+ community as well as the little reference located in the games ~

    I loved the gameplay, locations, graphics, the new clickers beautiful *chefs kiss*

    But the plot... Honestly up until I was forced to try to kill Ellie while playing as Abby I was completely on board with the plot. In a universe where it's impossible to define good/evil characters as it's a morally grey universe it's clear they tried to show Abby as a hero and Ellie as a villain because she held onto her grief and expected us to forget how Abby brutally tortured and murdered Joel like that. There is a clear plot hole from the first game where Marlene reveals they have experimented on other immune patients and all died without creating a vaccine this totally could have been a possibility for Ellie. It took a while for me to warm up to playing as Abby but by the end of Seattle day 2 I grew to like her , however I feel betrayed that we were advertised a different game. As we play through half the game as Abby it is ridiculous we weren't told that this would happen it caught a lot of people of guard and put them off .
    Lastly we should have been given a choice as to if we wanted to give up Dina and JJ and go after Abby (and kill her ) or to stay with Dina and try to work through Ellie's trauma with her help. I understand the message was revenge is not the right thing to do but it was conveyed in the worst way.    … Expand

    I loved the game! Do not understand why there is so much hate. Everyone has there own opinion. I’m no SJW, nor a right minded person. I don’t care about al that when I play a game. This game moved me and it was beautiful. No others game besides of TLOU 1 moved me and that’s why for me it is once again a masterpiece.

О графике и детализации говорить не стоит, так как это Ноути Дог, а как мы знаем : проработка деталей у них на высоте.     Having recently read Euripides' Medea, how far one should go enacting revenge and hatred is strikingly similar to The Last of Us Part II. The gameplay is truly a major step-up from the original, rarely does a single player game play so intensely. Graphically the game is second-to-none on the PS4. Beyond the leaks and rage, playing the entire 25 hr game is a must play.

It’s a shame the reviews that purposely are just to hurt the games ratings are present as I’d be interested to see how it would have compared to red dead redemption. I don’t like placing a game which is so raw in my memory in any ‘top lists’ or ‘one of greatest games ever’ but I truly believe in 10 years time the last of us games will be looked back on so fondly, and will sure be one of my favourite games. As an avid gamer I often spend £50-60 on video games from release and it can end up being disappointing and feeling money could have been spent better elsewhere.     The story, the story itself is a masterpiece - I tend to say the screenplay is actually a next gen. Naughty dog managed to seize video gaming medium and accomplished impressive emotional attack. After the playthrough I felt all kind of emotions I could, I felt sorrow, I felt compassion I am replaying all the events in my head - all over and over again.

    I can tell one thing, it touched me a lot, it made me think. It made me think about humans, about emotions, about feelings.

    Amazing graphics, sound design, gameplay, level design and world building. It's NaughtyDog at his best.

    The story takes very bold directions, and it's definitely not for everyone. Even so, it's a 10/10 masterpiece.

Yes, Tommy becomes a cripple and Ellie never gets the chance to forgive Joel as she wanted to try. But that’s a bit like life, a rollercoaster of emotions and conflict. I was conflicted when Abby was bashing and wanted to kill Ellie, I was in controller until I wasn’t, I wanted it to stop, but I felt the same when Ellie finally went for her final revenge. Lots of lovable characters died, I like Manny too! And Owen was alright. But that shows you how unforgiving this world is. Maybe Abby’s and Ellie being able to let go set path for something greater.… Expand

    И ведь те кто недоволен все равно покупают игру и играют, но при этом пищат об недостатках, а на таких "лохах" и делают деньги.
    Когда я проходил игру у меня много было эмоции и мне приятно, что они сделали концовку на такой ноте и это очень похоже на то, что будет еще часть и скорее всего завершающая такую отличную и трагичную историю.

    The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

    Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
