    I’m giving it ten because a lot of you are being stupid but it definitely deserves a nine! A game (or story in any medium) hasn’t made me think so deeply about human conflict basically ever. This story is challenging to get through but brilliant! Think about the fact this is actually what would happen in this situation. Everyone wants realism and you got it in spades people!     Very reminiscent of dark south korean films. A harrowing thought-provoking masterpiece. You just have to understand the story and take it in deep.

    This game is a masterpiece. Everyone is hating without playing it. The story is 10/10. Not all endings are happy endings. In my opinion is one of the best games I've ever played.

    Impossible to put a number on this game. I just want to counter this silly review-bombing event with my score. But I truly believe that this game does outstanding things. It may not succeed in every attempt at creating empathy for some of the characters and actions (more to digest in a dlc maybe?) but it does make you feel something rarely felt in other games.     - All these reviews saying this game is not worth it because they don't like the plot is pathetic. Writers can write whatever they want and this is nowhere near next to GoT S8. I didn't come in with any spoilers, so I wasn't sure why she was seeking vengeance at all. I was worried the whole town was going to be overrun like too many times in The Walking Dead. People are saying Joel would never have walked into an ambush, but it wasn't planned besides by Abby on the fly, so the group wasn't being suspicious besides her psychotic self. It was legit just one woman on her own running from zombies- yeah she is crazy buff, but that was a huge horde- much bigger than we ever had in the first game. It made sense to seek shelter. Now Tommy's invite was dragging it...

    While I still wanted Abby to die in the end, that doesn't make the game not enthralling and overall incredible experience. I was seeing red as much as Ellie and 100% was with her on her murder spree. If you can't see where her character is coming from then, you need to think more about what Joel meant to her and what he did for her. Also, they are in a post-apocalyptic, ultra-violent world- after seeing her father figure die while those people held her down and spit on him- who cares if they let her live(I appreciate it though) they are all going down. I loved all of their flashback scenes and definitely noted how they never said I love you. They expressed it differently. Imagine how terrifying it is that the people you love the most can be killed at any moment and humanity is barely surviving. We are honestly too privileged even as people with enough physical and financial stability to have gaming consoles (think Yemen rn) to fathom those psychological effects.

    I hated playing as Abby hunting Ellie, but I think that's what they were going for. It would've killed me if they made you play the killer of Joel while she killed Ellie- that's too much. I think perhaps the plot would've made more sense to everyone if Joel was kidnapped and Ellie had to save him. That's not perfect, but some of the major gripes could be ameliorated. Killing anyone necessary to get to Joel vs killing anyone necessary to get to his killer and then not kill her? If Joel died around the time when they switched to Abby, then we could've fit in that vengeance thread much better. We didn't need Abby's perspective to make this work, we needed to really expand on Ellie. Showing the WLF and Seraphite camps were appreciated, but Ellie could've been the one on the Island and the WLF part could've been much shorter.

    So I missed Ellie for hours and hours, but that doesn't mean the gameplay wasn't topnotch throughout. Anyone complaining about it needs to seriously think if they are comparing this game to imaginary ones in their heads. I don't know of a game that made me feel more in it. It's weighted, emotional and tense. There are various ways to engage with the different enemies and if you don't want to deal with them then you can see if you can just sprint out of there. I did that a few times with the stalkers for sure... I would also want more objects to be able to fall over or moved so the npcs can be lured or find you easier.

    While I don't love the story of this game, it is still 100% worth playing and I'll definitely play it again. While I am excited to play again, it is so dark and energetically draining(in a good way), I'm going to need a few weeks break. I'm rating it 10 to counteract the hate, but I would say the story brings it down to a 8/10 because I really just wanted more Ellie. Abby's only saving grace was because Lev stopped her, she hadn't learned anything since she killed Joel. Her saving what she called "Scars" was her redeeming herself for killing the Seraphites for years, it had nothing to do with Joel. She never felt what she did was wrong, she was only told it was. I wanted Dina to live, but if Abby killed her (wow that would've been so sad for Ellie) her Santa Barbara journey would've worked more. As much as I liked Lev, he's the reason his sister lost her arm then her life (two separate choices), so if I had a choice as Ellie, I would've killed Abby and then that kid to end the cycle right there... y'all both free from this zombie hell now, you welcome.     This game is a masterpiece. I like that the game has new open World parts and is so big. The Gameplay is so smooth. I saw some Bugs but they are not the big Deal. If you like survival + Zombies and a good story than fcking play the last of us 1 + 2.

    Amazing game and story! But most people are not ready for this discussion. Sad so many people gave it a low rating just because they did not like the story. The technical parts by itself should make at lease a 6.

    Best game I have played in a while. Don't believe the negative hype. This is a beautifully tragic story that stays faithful to the feel of the first game. Just because you get sad doesn't make it a bad game - that is the intention. There is no political agenda in this game.

    It was an emotional rollercoaster, even a tear jerker at times. I can't say that I'm not left with the desire to know more of this story, but I can say they produced again one of the most quality games I've ever played, again! Thank you    Epic!

Amigos este juego es buenísimo y no pueden venir a criticar que Joel muere a batazos de golf por que ese es el mundo que nauty dog nos presenta, un mundo en que los héroes no existen . Déjen de criticar y maduren un poco. Con el tema de que "Es el mismo juego que en tlou 1" si es verdad pero eso es the last of us tiene que ser así, o quieren que Elli vaya corriendo a lo call of duty coja una ak 47 y vaya corriendo descargando la en automático que se deslice por el suelo y corra por las paredes por que eso es lo que hemos visto en los últimos años. Tema abby, es de los mejores personajes creados y no la quieren por que mato a Joel, sus tres días son buenísimos. The tale in this universe is continued in a controversial manner and to enjoy it, that can only be decided by 1 person yourself. The games story is not an easy one to take in. Whether you enjoyed the game or strongly disliked it, it manages to do what any truly brilliant game should and that is to leave u thinking and questioning what has happened and the emotions that you have experienced. If you finish the game and you do not feel like your emotions have been put on a rollercoaster, then unfortunately you've probably missed the point or cannot confront the feelings you have experienced. However the choice is never up to you and what happens is the story that naughty dog wanted to tell, and I personally that it was brilliant it has left me thinking about it 24/7. Do not let negative or hateful reviews of the game spoil your experience go into it with a open mind and really just play and experience what is occurring and challenge yourself to understand what is being portrayed. After all we all play games for the experience and especially these story driven games to come out at the end with a new feeling and perspective.

    I'm so proud of naughty dog for what they have achieved in this game and the fact that they were willing to go above and beyond the norms of video games and they have truely paved the way for the future.     Outstanding. I'd urge any fans of the original to play this game.

    I don't know why people are saying there is meaningless 'sjw' or 'politics' in the game. This story was outstanding. Naughty Dog has done it again. I'm firmly convinced a lot of the hate on here is due to people buying a completely different game.

    Probablemente la gente solo quería ver morbo y fetichismo sabiendo que Ellie libremente estaría atada a una compañera como Deana, las malas críticas solo se basan en gente que de seguro juegan Fortnite y Warzone y ya se creen los mejores críticos de los videojuegos, sin duda para mi TLOU2 es uno de los mejores juegos del año, les guste o no!

I get that it's uncomfortable to play as Abby, that people were upset about the death of Joel and they wanted revenge. I think this game is simply beautiful. To sum it up, I am glad that the road to a dehumanized Ellie stopped. I really like the evolution of characters and how they try to mess up with out moral code. Considering it's an apocalyptic scenario, feeling some empathy it's rare, which makes Ellie and Abby two great characters.… Expand

    This is a multi-layer game, where all of these layers have purposes and talk to each other.

In my opinion this is a game of parallels and advocating peace.     I just got the platinum trophy for this game i loved everything about it the story graphics gameplay are phenomenal i love the story told by the artifacts hidden throughout the game and my favourite character is Abby cant wait for whats next in the franchise

Okay so this is my first time publicly reviewing a game, and i wasn't intending to do so but i feel like owe this game some justice and have to defend it since it's getting review bombed for absolutely no reason. This is a masterpiece, clearly one of the best if not the best playstation game of all time. A huge improvement from the first game, gameplay wise, graphics wise and even the story is better. We can clearly see the evolution of the characters between the first and the second game, they have matured and are far more complex than in the first game. I get that Joel dying in the first few hours of the game must be a huge turn-off. But this game is all about revenge and it delivers its objective. I found it absolutely intelligent and smart to let you play as both Ellie and Abby because in doing so, you can relate to them and you can clearly see why they both did what they did. Abby wanted to avenge her father. Ellie wanted to avenge Joel, each one of them clearly had a valid reason to justify the atrocity and brutality of the events that happen in the game. I felt each and every bullet coming out of my bullet. I felt every bullet getting in my body. I COULD relate to these characters. Now the infected added a whole thing to the game, killing them was as challenging and scary as ever, i still cannot get over the huge infected with multiple heads, i was terrified. Thank you Naughty Dog, thank you Neil Druckmann. You've made us happy in a really tough time. The game is polished as it should, and clearly looks great. I don't mind games getting delayed if the end result is going to be as amazing as this. A masterpiece.… Expand

    Historia 10 Los desarrolladores del juego lograron que todos hablen de este juego. gente que incluso no había jugada la primera entrega, con toda esta polémica se animó a jugarlo y averiguar sobre el videojuego . El juego me transmitió muchos sentimientos encontrados, me impactó y algo que impacta no se olvida. Pude empatizar con todos los personajes, pude entender el sentimiento de cada uno de ellos, por eso me encantó. En un mundo post-apocalíptico uno de nuestros mayores enemigos son los seres humanos en su lucha por sobrevivir ó generar dominio sobre los demás. Creo que el juego busco hasta el más mínimo detalle , esas canciones precisas. El final la pelea cuerpo a cuerpo entre Ellie y Abby fue waho!! Me encantó! Me hizo vibrar, gritar, llorar, perdonar, consolarme, me hizo sentir. Yo quería un final en que sea Ellie quien le perdone la vida a Abby y que luche consigo misma para no terminar de perder su esencia. El objetivo de Joel era que Ellie viva . Arriesgó su vida y la dio por amor a una niña que amaba como su hija. Sabía que se ganaría muchos enemigos quitándole la cura a la humanidad, pero aún así lo haría una y otra vez si fuera necesario.
