    Stop this review bombing !! The Last Of Us is a incridible game ! The story create by Nauty Dogs is complex. So you can judge this game because your are frustrated ! And if you played a very small moment you understand that the game is not political!

I’m a big fan of TLOU and I enjoyed playing this game Maybe Joel dies in a way no one liked and the ending is frustrating but u have to look at the game in a realistic way I mean even in our simple lives these kind of **** things happen and many people don’t get what they deserve And also u have to realize that this game is a “dark” game.     An emotional rollercoaster that doesn't always hit the mark with what it tries to pull off. It does, however, provide enough amazing highs to outweigh its unfortunate lows. Respect to Naughty Dog for pulling this off!

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Best game I have ever played. When you go into this game you must have an open mind and be ready to get through some not so happy parts. Some are frustrating and some are so amazing you’ll be gasping for air. The gameplay is so smooth and the fight scenes are so real you feel like you can see every little movement with such detail. The story tugs on your emotions so much. I had some points I was jumping out of my seat and others I was grabbing the tissues. It is utterly beautiful and everything ND promises it would be. But you cant let the ultimate message go right past you. It is very thought provoking and really the ending is up to interpretation enjoy the game while you can still play it for a first time it’s worth it and you will never forget it if you don’t let one or two things prevent you from enjoying all of it.     This is game is unbelievably beautiful and edgy. I have never been so emotionally invested in a game until I played Last of Us Part II. I have only finished about 16 hours of the game but this game has blown me away. In addition, I love the LGBT add on to the game. We need more games like this that bring up tough topics that most people do not want to explore. I applaud Naughty dog forThis is game is unbelievably beautiful and edgy.     This is a brilliant game with a lot of risks taken from the narrative perspective. It's easy to understand why there are people so wildly mad against it. Small minds.
    So, in the end, love it or hate it. But I strongly feel very disappointed seeing so many dumb people destroying this titanic effort full of fine art, talent and inspiration.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I spent 25 hours to finish the story and during I had mixed feelings. First the game get's you to hate that Abby woman from the depths of your soul and all of a sudden you have to play her story? I mean, what the hell, I don't wanna know her f***ing backstory I just wanna see the b***h bleed. So during the Abby part of the Story, which is the complete second half, I was constantly annoyed but hey, for the sake of the story I took it and continued. I have to say, I still hate her guts and wanna see her dead but in some ways I can understand her. She is on her own path of revenge, just like Ellie and I guess, that's what Naughty Dog's intentions were. To create an antagonist who is pretty similar to the protagonist but the way the story develops Abby is the bad and Ellie the good one. I'm disappointed that Ellie didn't finish her job in the end and practically lost everything. But not every game can have a happy end.
    On Ellie's part of the story I was super excited and it held up to it's promises. The movement of Ellie in comparison to Joel is better, the gameplay got a lot smother, I love the new skill tree, the fact, that Ellie has a knife made it way easier to move around infected and kill them where Abby on the other hand had to craft them. Totally legit, as a soldier to not have a knife on you, right *insert sarcasm here*
    I was impressed by the A.I. this time. Not the usual stupid moving patterns. The NPCs move like they're really on the look out, they turn their heads and realize when you're in their sight of view. It makes things way more tactic to move around them. But the infected are still pretty easy to trick and run around, even if they see you. You just circle around the room and use some throwables to kill them. Only the Rat King was really a challenge to defeat because of the dark and cramped environment of the hospital.
    The story itself blew me away. I had everything I expected...and more. So many emotions, especially when Joel died. I cried but on the other side I was so furious. I was driven by my own seeking for revenge.
    The graphics is really something. We don't need to discuss this, it's just mind blowing. During the game I made so many screenshots like in no other game ever. We have such a beautiful design and artwork in this game.

    Now for some other things people criticize. The violence being one part that's massively discussed about The Last of Us Part 2. Sure, there is a whole lot of violence but in a post apocalyptic world where monsters and men try to overpower each other and humans don't work together but also fight each other, there's a lot of space for violence. And with all the hatred and feeling of needed revenge it's not too much in my opinion.
    The relationship between Ellie and Dina. Why on earth are people complaining here? We live in 2020 and being gay is nothing to be ashamed of anymore. But still there are these homophobes who cry about every little thing between two people of the same gender. Grow up people!

    All in all I had a lot of fun, even with the Abby part of the story (still hate her though)    … Expand

The environments are well defined and the lighting is gorgeous. Let's get to the crucial part ... The story. I admit I was a little skeptical when a second chapter was announced, considering the last of us finished with part one. Starting to play it I changed my mind from the first minutes. Neil Druckman and Halley Gross were able to give us a following worthy of his name. A truly wonderful writing job. The game has been highly criticized even before its release, believing some facts of history wrong etc. I am referring to all those who say that history sucks. If things don't go the way we want it doesn't mean it's wrong or sucks. The last of us part 2 is an experience that must be absolutely lived. I would also like to congratulate Anthony Newman and Kurt Margenau for the direction of the game and to the whole Naughtydog team and family. Thanks go to the sound design department for all the incredible sound effects and finally to Gustavo Santaolalla for the incredible soundtrack and to Mac Quayle for all the other compositions. But when you play the game and see the narrative and how things play out, the game is amazing. I think it is a very good game it has too many new features like the new combat system now you can dodge blows you can throw yourself to the ground and also the new objects that you can build, the story seemed to me one of the best I have seen the only thing that I I leave sad was the end because ellie does nothing of his revenge and loses his girlfriend but he has his happy side because in the end ellie forgives joel for lying, has abby for killing joel and dina for leaving and leaves everything behind and continues with his life… Expand

That's insane for a singleplayer game. Not only was it packed with content, it wasn't filled with something people are considering un-enjoyable. The issue here is people are reviewing a single character you really wanted to play as and it didn't happen. That doesn't make a game terrible. Is that so hard to understand? This game had everything that makes a game amazing. Good graphics and animations, no bugs, good characters, good story, and good content. Yeah I said good story. It was a good story. I played the game. It wasn't remotely equivalent to what some people are saying: "It's like GOT S8, or Star Wars" no it's not. Not at all. Game of Thrones had a fundamental issue. It developed characters through 8 seasons and threw out all of the character arcs. That didn't happen here. Characters did something bad and there were consequences. It didn't JUMP at us.     And lastly the story... As we all know there is some big controversy around it. I really enjoyed the story. Of course, there are a few things I would change. For example, it should be more chronological so that you play with both characters on the same day. But regardless of this story is really cool and surprise you every time. I think that everything that characters did is realistic and true to their characters. 2 hours from the end I was already thinking that it is over but then another part of the story kicked in and I was happily surprised.
    Overall I can only recommend this game. It was a blast playing it and I think it changed my mindset how I am looking at the world. Thanks, Naughty Dogs.    … Expand

The game's score is being brigaded by followers of a couple of youtube channels who didn't like what they saw then when the leaks occured.     Story-wise, I've heard a lot of criticism, but I have to be honest: this is a game that stands for realism. It is not a fairytale, this is a gruesome post apocalyptical world. People die, at random moments, all the time. I've often hated how you already know from the beginning which character is going to die because of the way he's profiled and positioned when introduced. This is a game that surprises you, it's pessimistic, it's sad, it's real: I love it. Haters will hate because they hate change, because they're conservative, because they want to feel good. But go play a Nintendo game then. In every sense of the word, this is a masterpiece.

    I played Tlou on ps3 and I bought ps4 only for Tlou2. I am not disappointed. I like the story line, amazing dialogues and music, the details are at a very high level, the best gameplay system in the world. I love everything in this game. Just like in the first part I waiting for multiplayer mode, I hope it will be soon.

The story is different. It's a story of revenge and it gives you everything in a brutally violent way. Wouldn't it be boring to be like the previous one? Again, it's not easy to make a game like the first one. For those who were also did not like what happened and Ellie got angry, something important had to be done to make the game exist. So those of you who want to buy it keep in mind that the gameplay, although similar to the previous one, is very good, in terms of sound and graphics and the story and the whole theme of the game is a little darker so don't expect most moments to be happy. .

    Gameplay is awesome.The game engine is great and the new combat system looks cool.I also like the story.The game is very well developed and made.I don't understand why most of the people don't like the story.In my opinion is great!I also like the open world aspects to it-exploring, searching for materials and killing infected.On the whole, it is one of the best games I played!10/10

    La verdad lo juzgué antes de jugarlo, pero una vez habiéndolo jugado no me cabe duda que es de lo mejor de esta generación, enverdad me encantó y aunque tiene varias fallas en el gameplay y vacíos argumentales aún así es una experiencia envolvente y llena de sentimientos, la verdad le pondría un 9 pero le pongo 10bpars que haga colchón a todos esos reviews mal hechas

    In the first place - the game is great. If you really want to feel intensity of it, do not wantch anything on internet as it spoils all the fun and ruins the moment of surprise. It is similar to Game of Thrones - if you knew how Rob Starks wedding would end, it would not be same as when you watched it without knowing how that wedding ends.

    Se nota las motivaciones de los personajes y te hace sentir empatía con ellos, el final es uno de los mejores finales que he visto en un videojuego, The Last Of Us Part II será un juego del que se hablara por algún tiempo.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I just finished this intense journey and can I say, it was wonderful. Hear me out.

    1) Joel dying was a SHOCK, now, I personally was not too attached to him. His choice at the end of The Last of Us Part 1 made me think. He damned an entire world, off of his own selfishness to keep Ellie alive. She wanted to be there, she wanted to make a cure. His choice was to curse the world with a plague, continuing the evolution of post-apocalypse life. To me, I thought what would the world continue to develop as? And that’s what we got in Part: 2. A continually developed, post-apocalyptic world. We know what the zombies are, what they do. We know there is no stopping them now, it’s accepted. We still know that humans are the apex, at the end of the day, and must develop as people in this new world.

    2) The LGBT stuff: HOW MANY GAMES, HOW MANY, have a STRAIGHT muscley man, and hot curvy woman at the forefront? HOW MANY?
    Almost all of them. To me, it was REFRESHING, to see some character development that wasn’t a cookie cutter man, and a cookie cutter woman, trying to love each other with the inconvenience of zombies in the way. And it was beautifully done. The complexity of the characters, Dina being pregnant with Jesse’s child, the strong woman Abby is because of the loss of her father and Owen’s typical charm with his love triangle and Abby not having it. Abby showing her rough outer self, with her soft maternal need to take care of Lev. It’s a story about a generation of young adults, making their way in a world where acceptance is survival. It’s really brilliant, if you think about it.

    3) Lack of character development? I feel like if you stopped clutching your pearls, for lack of cookie cutter protagonists and antagonists, you’d actually find there to be a lot. Abby grows incredibly by the end of the game. First appearing as a stone cold powerhouse, killing Joel, to becoming a maternal figure to Lev and his sister (who regrettably died way too fast after I spent ALL THAT TIME IN THE HOSPITAL.) As well as we see Ellie on a roller coaster. As well she should be. She was lied to about her encounter with the Fireflies, it was already shown she was a lesbian in the last game only for her to be confronted by that guy that all these people reviewing sound like. She wants revenge for Abby killing Joel, but at what cost? Dina getting killed, Jesse never being able to see his son? Going all the way back out to get the final blow, to find out Abby is bit, and she’s hung up to die. Still wanting revenge she tries, but at what cost, again? Losing her fingers, so the one thing she could keep from Joel, music, is gone. When Abby was as good as dead anyway. Bravo.

    4) Abby’s character design? I mean **** it, you might as well say every girl has to have big boobs an ass and curves to be taken seriously. Her difference in design as a character is what made her stand out. Even her sex scene, I mean albeit real INTENSE, showed even more of how her strength was beauty.

    5) Lev’s character, I don’t wanna hear any one of you talk about MULAN in a good way if you had a problem with Lev, in any way in this game. That’s all I gotta say about that.

    6) LGBT stuff: I find it interesting that a lot of people are complaining about the LGBT stuff, and then say they have no problem with people being gay. But wish that this game didn’t have it in there. As if there’s hundreds of games with LGBT stuff in it. When would you find it appropriate? Should the gays wait for an OP called “Sparkle Zombies?” Is it cool as long as you don’t have to look at it? Get over yourselves, homophobes.

    7) Lastly, if you had a problem with the game I think you should just stick to zombies in Call of Duty. Maybe Left 4 Dead. Because you’re looking for a cookie cutter zombie shooter, and not a game that’s willing to set itself apart from the rest. That’s what The Last of Us: Part 1, did. It made you think, it made you question what is right and wrong by the end. The same goes for this game, and they did it beautifully.

Masterpiece easily a 9 but its design, graphics and details such as the fuel canister its nozzle protrudes from the backpack raises it to 10; impressive what was achieved with a PS4. Incredible story but difficult to understand without paying attention; considering that Joel's death is very fast during the plot but understandable because it would lengthen the game even more unnecessarily, it should be noted that his death was basically in the style of deaths within the universe of The last Us also that it was the only way to continue with the story since part 1 was very finished and I do not see the way that Joel becomes a super hero again in another repetitive way; the story starts very slowly it feels heavy but once it ends it starts what is a series of murders with cruelty this throughout the game; the detail that the npc have names is something that impresses and even more so with the motion capture of the deaths; The script is very well done but you have to pay attention to understand it with knowing that your actions have a reaction and thus the game deceives you, thinking of revenge but Ellie only looks for a way to forgive Joel (a rather orthodox way to forgive). The sound of the game is incredible and impeccable, the 3d sound is greatly enjoyed from the bullets in a closed space to when shooting at a vehicle, whether it punches or bounces, it sounds very realistic. Gameplay clearly an 8 because it is good and it is the first game but as an innovation from the first game to the second the truth is that if they added new mechanics they give freshness to the gameplay. Before playing the game, I had a lot of concern about spreading forced political or progressive garbage. This is really non-existent within the game. because if you get tired a little bit so much knife in the neck to the enemies.… Expand

I couldnt comprehend the loss of a such a memorable character and the relationship between him and Ellie. I stopped playing about midway in Ellies playtrough.

    I gave this game a try after watching some of Videogamedunkeys youtube videos about this game. I was no longer emotional attached to the loss of Joel and was able to truly appreciate this game for what it is. One of the best games ive ever played.

    If you like me, couldnt finish this game the first time because it was simply too much, too emotional jarring. Give it another try.

Hard storyline that will definitely not make unanimity. I had trouble accepting some parts of it because i loved the first game and its characters, and seeing what happens to them saddened me greatly. ND warned us, it is not a comforting game. They don't send rays of sunshine towars us (well, most of the time, e.g Ellie's birthday), which doesn't mean that i think the second opus is badly written. In fact, the story line (that some are so eager to call pure s*** out of anger due to a major character death) made me reflect and feel as I never had before with a video game. It is a masterpiece. The game is an intense experience, and whether you like it or not is up to you. For my part, i enjoyed the whole thing even if it was a hard journey.… Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I'm not going to mince words with this review so let's get a few things out of the way before i get into the game. If your negative review is based in any way on the mere existence of LGBT characters, f*ck off. Your opinion of the game and your worldview are worthless. With that out of the way let me get into the game. Yes Joel dies early into the game, this game doesn't give plot armor to main characters. They are mortals who can easily be ambushed and killed. I should also mention that the theme of this game was stated to be hate, and so what better to drive that point home than a "pointless death" of a lead character early on. Ellie is left reeling from witnessing the death of Joel and does the thing that I think most people could relate to on a primal level, goes for revenge. Here is where I want to address one of the main critiques of the story I personally have seen. Yes the major arch of the game is a revenge plot. That is an archetype and completely fine for a game. It even plays heavily into the common truism that "Seek revenge and you should dig two graves, one for yourself." With that being said, the sheer violence and in your face behavior of the storytelling puts this in a league of its own. The deaths in this game are brutal, the killing nondiscriminate. It is this very violence that further drives home the point being made here. Yes revenge can be deadly, but moreso it doesn't take away the trauma of loss. It is this realization that Ellie has at the end. This is why she doesn't kill Abby. This narrative decision is far bolder than simply having her kill the character, and in my opinion far more impactful. Some will see that statement and argue that all of the killing done to get to that point is made pointless for this reason. What they would fail to understand is the killing was pointless either way. Ellie successfully taking revenge would not vindicate those she lost, nor would it justify the senseless loss of human life that led to that point. Ellie, like Abby and Tommy, let hatred consume them, and that cycle of hatred caused them to lose everything. Even Lev experiences the same consequences of hatred, though it is due to his love for the one who hates him that inevitably causes him to lose everyone dear to him. That is to say that the consequences of human prejudice and hatred are cast upon both perpetrator and victim equally. The cause of the war between the WLF and Scars is left it seems purposely vague to accentuate the fact that the constant deaths on either side are casualties of hatred. I could go on and on with intricacies of how layered the narrative of this game is, but it would likely fall on deaf ears. It seems that the majority of the community doesn't appreciate this form of storytelling, and frankly we are worse off for it. That being said, everyone is entitled to their opinion and in my opinion this game is an absolute masterpiece. It perfectly contrasts the themes of the first game, which was the stated intention, and delivers a heart wrenching story worthy of your time and money. I would say that the main takeaway of this game is that humanity is its on greatest enemy, and society (at least this post outbreak society) is doomed to destroy itself. There is hope presented at the end of the story, almost an homage to the hope presented in the first game, as the fireflies are said to be gathering numbers again, and who knows, with time perhaps they could rebuild. I know this review has been long winded, but I feel I must add that I do not intended to imply that if you did not enjoy the themes of the game you are lesser in any way. This isn't a "rick and morty fan" type review where I feel as if the people hating on the story are simply too stupid to understand its complexities. I think people understood it quite well, but being that it stands in direct contrast with the first game they don't enjoy it as a sequel. I'm giving this game a 10/10 for the emotional journey it dragged me on over the past few days.… Expand

    Amazing game as always from naughty dog. Story is brilliant and some real shock moments and yes I carried real tears at some of it. The attention to detail is amazing and graphics are out of this world and not to forget that it was done for 7 year old PS4. Game of the year for sure. Well done all at naughty dog for another masterpiece
