    I created this account to write that this game is bigger in scope than the original. Yes some events that happen in the story are too sad. But, this is the story the creative director wants us to experience and I respect that. I disliked playing as a certain character because that character didn’t matter to me. The graphics were phenomenal and I can’t believe this is not a PS5. Once more, Naughty Dog has shown us that video games are perhaps the best tools for story telling. What a game! Devastating ending and fulfilling in its own way. The reviews that comment on the political statement can go play some other game. Crime and Punishment isn’t an easy read, but it expands your ability to appreciate literature and makes you a better person for it. If you can’t handle it, there is Marvel. I wish the ending was different, I wish someone didn’t die, but that isn’t this game. And as it is, this game is a Masterpiece. Masterpiece.… Expand

    Me parece un muy buen juego ya que aunque al principio aparenta ser como los típicos juegos con villanos en los que su desarrollo como personaje se resume en "soy malo por qué pinto" termina demostrando todo lo contrario dándole profundidad a todos los personajes dando a entender que son asi, no por qué ellos quieran ser asi, si no por qué algo en sus vidas cambio de forma muy abruptaMe parece un muy buen juego ya que aunque al principio aparenta ser como los típicos juegos con villanos en los que su desarrollo como personaje se resume en "soy malo por qué pinto" termina demostrando todo lo contrario dándole profundidad a todos los personajes dando a entender que son asi, no por qué ellos quieran ser asi, si no por qué algo en sus vidas cambio de forma muy abrupta sufriendo perdidas como a su vez teniendo momentos muy alegres, eso por el lado de la narrativa y por el lado de la jugabilidad se nota que mejoraron mucho, por ejemplo en su antecesor los NPC no eran tan inteligentes en este juego emplean distintas estrategias tornando así una dificultad a la hora de entrar en combate, dando así la ilusión de que estás jugando contra otra persona, en fin del final no quiero hablar y no por qué sea malo si no por qué no quiero revelar nada de este juego, Aah también algo a destacar es el nivel emocional de l@s protagonist@s está tan bien logrado que uno tranquilamente puede llegar a entenderlos y a simpatizar con ellos independientemente de quién tengas mas afecto en fin para terminar con esta reseña algo más para agregar es que me gusta que refleja mucho de la condición humana si así se lo quiere llamar ya que todos y no solo los enemigos están en constante peligro de muerte independientemente de como actúe el jugador ya que por ejemplo en su anterior entrega el protagonista sobrevivió a una caída de más de 2 pisos, sin romperse nada, también al ataque de los famosos clickers o chasqueadores como los quieran llamar además de otras cosas como por ejemplo cuando es herido de gravedad y termina con una herida la cual en la realidad tendría que conllevar a una de dos o una muerte segura o una intervención quirúrgica osea en una cirugía para salvarle la vida al protagonista pero en el juego con una sutura se arregla todo, en mi opinión es mucho más realista en términos de que pueden morir o no los protagonistas en esa trama independientemente de si el jugador pulsa un botón o no, ojo no me mal entiendan me encanta esta franquicia peeero el the last of us 2 esta a la altura o un poco más alto que su antecesor… Expand

    The story is wonderful and well built. Who didn't like it is because they didn't understand about how the protagonist evolved throughout the game and the whole psychological aspect behind it.

    A pesar de su secuela es un juego la raja graficos detallados audio muy bien detallado permitiendote escuchar cosas demasiado exelentes los pasos el audio y graficos son sus principales fuertes su historia es algo dolorosa y mas oscura que el juego anterior pero sigue siendo buena y a los jugadores hambrientos por una secuela como yo me satisfacio al 100%

But tlou2 is an amazing game with an amazing story and fun engaging gameplay and some seriously tense moments that are honestly some of the best moments in either game. If your issue lies in the fact that there are LGBTQ+I’m sorry but to anyone who actually bombed this games reviews, you’re absolutely wrong.     You may and surely can be upset with some events that happened, I sure did, but this game was never supposed to be a fairy tale and neither the characters in it are flawless. Every single one of them are human, make mistakes and have their own mind and feelings. It's ok to disagree or wish that this or that could've been different, but call this game trash is just so unfair. The combat mechanics, the accessibility for people with disabilities (the game has full text-to-speech mecanism, for example), the models of the characters, their facial expressions, even their eyes are so detailed... you can't say this game is trash!!!! it's beautifully done, from its story all the way to its gameplay.

    I thought that the story for this game was brilliant. The game play still remains somewhat clunky and weird, but quite honestly I came for the story so it's not that big of a deal. A lot of people are complaining about the story, and I simply don't understand why.     I think some may forget that Joel is a hero to us ONLY because he was our primary POV character in the original game, but to those not sharing the player's POV he would have seemed a monster. Those touched by his journey across country with Ellie in tow most likely would have considered themselves the victims of some crazed killer.

    People also seem to forget that the original game ended on a down note, with Ellie becoming distant from Joel as she suspects he's lying to her. In fact, the original game ends with Ellie clearly realizing that Joel has lied to her, and the bond between them, forged over the course of the entire game, is now broken. The sequel picks up in exactly that place, with their relationship strained by Joel's (well meaning) dishonesty, and Ellie's (well founded) suspicion.

    I deeply appreciated the way that the game explores the idea that neither Ellie or Abby are actually the good or bad guys, just simply that they were people on opposite sides of a very **** situation. You know...the way things tend to work in the real world.

    As far as the so-called "SJW agenda" of the game...well, I'm not really sure that the mild depiction of two women involved romantically can actually constitute an agenda of any kind. What, do you all live in a place where women don't date each other or something? I also don't think showing a physically strong, action oriented woman checks the agenda box either. Did you people hate Ripley in "Aliens" as well? How about Sarah Connor in "Terminator"? Was that also an SJW agenda?

    For those that think Joel's character was "assassinated" by the events in the early game, I feel like you're missing all the wonderful, touching moments we get with him throughout the rest of the game, and even in the final epilogue.

    Those of you whom have made up your minds about what this game is, even before playing it (and let's be honest, 14k negative reviews less than 12 hours from release...on a 25 hour long game...is a sure sign of people making up their minds without playing it,) are doing themselves a disservice, and depriving themselves of a fantastic game experience.

    If you don't like it after playing it, then that's perfectly fine, you have every right to your opinion. But if you're giving it zero scores just because some angry YouTuber or Twitter told you to, then perhaps you should take a breath and start thinking for yourself.

    TL;DR
    I thought it was great, and I highly encourage people to give this game a shot, most of you won't be disappointed.    … Expand

    Everyone involved in this game should be proud of themselves.
    This game is so damn good.
    Guitar mechanics, graphics (especially hair), story telling all fantastic.
    It's definitely not for everybody, but it's an experience that was worth the seven year wait.
    I'll need another 7 years before I can play again to recover from the emotional trauma.
    So proud of everyone involved!!
    10/10.

All aspects of this game are near perfect. The only thing that is controversial is the story. On that fact alone anyone giving ridiculously low scores like 0s or 1s obviously acting in bad faith because its fun to follow the hate train. Taking into account the quality of the game and my personal enjoyment of the story I believe the game warrants a 10/10. Regardless of the trolls and bandwagoners, those who are genuine about their dislike/hate for the game's story show that they care in some manner and felt some kind of emotion.     I don't get the hate the game gets for the "SJW agenda" stuff. Is the main Charakter lesbian? Yes. Is the main antagonist a muscular women? Yes. I just don't get why that is a problem. Do all you haters really want the same Standard male hero male antagonist story for the rest of your life? Well for me this game is a Masterpiece.

Тот кому не нравился геймплей первой части, может не понравится и во второй (который должен сказать неплохо допилен и отшлифован). Тот кто не любит сюжет ориентированный на широкую аудиторию, не полюбит повествование "в лоб" в данной игре. Я поиграл, и в итоге не могу поставить низкую оценку ну вообще никак. Геймплей - понравился сильнее первой части. Очень много событий, много локаций (не по масштабу действий (никак в первой части полстраны), а по количеству в одном городе), много механик. Сюжет - самое то, к чему прикопаться можно. Но главное что персонажам веришь, мотивацию понимаешь, логика в большинстве случаем соблюдена. Где логика начинает рушиться её сразу же сами разработчики внутри игры собирают и объясняют (кроме одного момента с беременным персонажем), а не ты сам додумывать должен за них. История идёт так как она и должна была пойти. Техническое исполнение игры - моё почтение. Левел-дизайн (сколько проработанных ассетов это просто взрывает мозг), геймдизайн (сочетание нарратива и геймплея идеально), графика (скрины думаю сами видели, на PS4 Pro выглядит потрясно), ЗВУК (отдельно заслуживает высший балл, зацепил очень сильно), музыка -- всё выполнено на 10ку и тут мало кто поспорит (кроме тех рецензентов тут, которые не запускали даже игру, а смотрели прохождение на ютубе в 360р). По итогу хочу сказать, что игра понравилась. Финансово могло быть и подешевле, но это связано с нашим рублём и покупательской способностью в нашей стране, а не с разрабами. Рекомендовать игру стоит только тем кто действительно играли в первую часть (а не пробежали 7 лет назад на лёгком уровне и забыли уже что да как там), собирали записки и жили этим миром и этими персонажами. Тогда точно уж ничьих чувств данная игра не заденет и понравится. Если не нравился геймплей первой части, вы любитель сложных метафор и нетипичных ходов повествования, чтоб прям закрутило как у Шьямалана, вас дико напрягает что в игре есть персонажи нетрадиционной ориентации, настолько что на другое в игре вы смотреть не можете, то я не рекомендую данную игру к покупке и жаль людей которые уже потратили деньги и своё время, и остались разочарованными. От меня 10 из 10 и не поменяю данную оценку. Я думаю что проходная игра не собрала бы столько положительных и отрицательных дискуссий. В споре рождается истина.… Expand

In fact I restarted it after it did a weird thing where all the enemies were stood still and, when I snuck up on them. I did this Scarecrow thing behind them. But I am loving it. I also read some of the user scores reviews on metacritic. Pretty much all of them were put up on the day of release. Meaning most of them instead of playing the game were probably sat at their PC waiting to put a negative on it after seeing the spoilers haha.

    All these reviews about how bad the story and, the ending are. All posted on the day of release. Just means that none of them actually played the game. Yes Joel dies. It's all to move the story on. Yes its upsetting but have none of you watched the walking dead?    … Expand

    Если рассматривать игру с точки зрения игрового опыта, а не несостоявшегося хеппи-энда первой части - то это лучший игровой опыт, что можно получить на данный момент.

    Интересный геймплей, который лично меня заставлял каждую секунду быть во внимании к лишнему шуму и чужим голосам. История Элли очень трогает, заставляет переживать за неё и её друзей, моменты с флешбеками прямо погружают тебя в ту самую атмосферу. Все бы было идеально, если бы не мускулистая убийца Джоела - Эбби, за которую нам прилется играть почти половину игры. Да, у нее есть мотивация, персонаж хорошо прописан, но смотреть на ее мышщы - не то, чем я хотел заниматься половину игры. Если пропускать моменты с Эбби, то игра будет короче первой части, меня это сильно удручает, очень сильно, но по другому я врядли смогу пройти игру еще раз. Также расстроило то, что в игре слишком мало Джоела, Ноти Дог решили обмануть нас и поменяли модельки персонажей для трейлеров и для игры. Лично меня это очень расстроило, ведь я ожидал увидеть совместный путь Элли и Джоела, а увидел лишь флешбеки. Учитывая эти недостатки, я считаю нужным поставить игре 8-9, но поставлю 10, дабы хоть как-то улучшить ей рейтинг, нехер было ставить игре 0, даже не пройдя ее. Однозначно, игра - шедевр, но Дракману надо вставить пропиздон за его чересчур либеральные взляды, дабы следующая игра, если она выйдет, не была таким провалом в лице комьюнити. Gameplay: Gunplay inmejorable, Físicas que solo he visto en el zelda de switch, animaciones (lo mejor que vas a ver) crafting, narrativa impresionante, unos personajes inolvidables (sobre todo Ellie y Joel aunque muchos más merecen mención especial y están muy bien creados también) y unosImpresionante.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. How do I feel after playing through The Last of Us Part II? Exhausted, after an emotional roller coaster that immerses you into the world of two very different but also similar protagonists. This is my first meteoritic review and I feel obligated to share my opinion as there is a lot of conflicting information flying around so I hope this helps. First let us address gameplay and graphics as we can get through this very quickly. Stunning, the landscapes and weather help pull you into to this dystopian yet still very beautiful world. As far as gameplay and combat goes, it is leagues above that of the first game and feels extremely well polished. The talent trees and weapon upgrades feel good for the most part, giving you the freedom to choose your playstyle and increase the characters strengths to achieve this. The variety of weapons was also a pleasant surprise. The level of detail is second to none and Naughty Dog should be praised for delivering such an experience.
    Now...the story. I went into this game completely hidden from leaks, spoilers and even trailers. I am a die hard fan of the first game, the characters we grew to love along the way and I can understand people's sadness and anger of losing such a great and loved character mere hours after the start. I have to say that I liked the story a lot, warts and all, let me explain why. I think people forget the world we live in as a character in the Last of Us. This post apocalyptic world has brought out the worst in people (and sometimes the best). Adventuring throughout the world offers extreme danger, yes from the infected but more importantly from the living. Survival has driven people to extremes of depravity and this is only magnified by the lack of any justice in the world. To that end, although it's hard to watch Joel's death, I feel it certainly is not a surprise and although hard to admit, justified after Joel's actions at the end of the first game. I shared Ellie's pain and anger at seeing her father figure die before her and by the end of the game I feel this even more knowing the turbulent times they faced in the years after Salt Lake. I fully understand Abby's motivations, especially as they are so aligned with Ellie's but I wanted revenge, and thus I set out with Ellie to exact this revenge, fully committed to seeing Abby and her friends last breaths. I was very taken aback when suddenly I was following the story from Abby's side. It felt quite jarring as I had worked for hours to find and hurt this person, to now be transported into her body and learn about her, her personality and her past. I certainly was uncomfortable about this switch when it happened but I won't say it is a failure of the game, quite the opposite. I play naughty dog games for the story and this form of narrative, showing a story from both sides, showing that situations are never black and white was a very powerful plot vehicle that certainly toyed with my emotions. I went into this part of the game not liking this character at all but finished the game understanding her a lot more, maybe not liking her as I do other characters but understanding that one painful experience such as the brutal murder of her father completely shaped her life moving forward. Both characters experience a rich world with lots of meaty story and interesting characters. For the most part I liked Yara and Lev and I thought they both helped bring out a side of Abby that she was suppressing while she focused on revenge. The character feels lost after killing Joel, I think focusing on this goal for many years and assuming life will instantly be better after his death is a mistake, one which Ellie also battles with. You discover there are many likeable characters amongst her friends, Owen especially. You get the impression he never really fit in with the WLFs and this had a positive influence on Abby's character. I think we need to talk about fan service. I can use Star Wars as a great example. I liked the latest films but they certainly stop well short of greatness for me and fan service is a big part of that. Creating a story to only appease fans instead of telling a hard, powerful and unforgiving story that is true to the world. I love Joel's character but I too wrestle with his actions at the end of The Last of Us. A choice between saving the world and essentially saving your daughter, how many of us would choose the world? Unfortunately this choice completely shattered lives and I praise Naughty Dog for showing the true ramifications of this decision. Elli's ultimate act of clemency for Abby feels right, both characters are emotionally and physically irreparably damaged and this revenge circle needs to stop. Did I like every action characters took along the way or plot point? No. Did I understand the motivations behind them? Yes. I have been transported into a rich, diverse and unforgiving world and have been shown a story that echos this completely. It was worth every minute.    … Expand

Here are my pros and cons of what I think of this game as a whole

    Pros:

    1.) The gameplay is nice, fluid, and immersive to play

    2.) Graphics are nicely detailed and cinematically visual/appealing

    3.) Sound designs are amazing

    4.) The story is epic and unique in a way that you thought you could never feel with such a high variety of emotions

    5.) Acting is phenomenal and highly underrated

    Cons:

    1.) Part of the narratives in the story could've been changed for a better outcome

    2.) Some character developments needed some slight improvements

    Verdict: The Last Of Us Part 2 is a great game and originally I was gonna give this a 10 or 9 but with the story narratives making me feel bittersweet in some ways and thinking of what direction should the franchise go next if a Last Of Us Part 3 were to be made next in the future. Overall I give The Last Of Us Part 2 an 8/10 simply because of the fact that I still had fun playing this game and the experience that I had with the story was really interesting to see. The last thing I want to mention is that for this review on Metacritic I'm gonna put the score as a 10/10 since I want to be generous to show my support for the game and even though my actual rating is still an 8/10 for me but in my opinion, I thought this felt right to do. :)    … Expand

La pelea del final fue sin duda la más difícil que jugué en algún juego. No por su dificultad técnica sino por su dificultad emocional. Ya que no Quería matar a ninguno de ambos personajes.     Убили Джоэла и вас это так огорчило!? , так все правильно на то и расчёт мы должны желать мести, и мир жесток и все логично для нас в первой части Джоэл поступил правильно, а для тех кто был по ту сторону баррикад? Все привыкли что есть плохие и хорошие а тут вам показали 2 стороны и выбили всех из калеи. Самым сложным конечно было играть за Эбби(к концу её повествования проникаешься этим персонажем и принимаешь её) , но если бы не было части про Эбби то концовка бы не получилась. В общем получилась цельная игра которая вызывает кучу имоций и пришлось пройти через, отрицание, злость, торг, депрессия, принятие. И то что это вызвало столько эмоций у игроков доказывает что Дракмана гений. А как это сделано каждая мелочь которая показана у Элли дрожащие руки, взгляд, надрыв в голосе, панические атаки пробирает до мурашек. Я так думаю кто не согласен ваша ниша это танки и форт найт. Игра 100 проц только для взрослых тех кто понимает что хэппиэнды в жизни это редкость и за все нужно платить ,и не смотря на зомби и пост апокалипсис самая реалистичная игра. Купил в предзаказ и не пожалел ни рубля. 100 заслуженно, жду продолжения.    … Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This game is an emotional rollercoaster that unlike other games makes you sympathetic to everyone in the game, including those that are seen as the villian end up being seen in the right and those who you agree with you end up disagreeing.

    TLOU2 is made to make us see that in the world of this game there is no right or wrong, only humans that try to survive and the cruelty of it. Yes this game isn't well recieved due to the death of Joel or the fact that you play as his killer for the second act. Nor when Ellie spares her in the end. But that's the point, it's meant to make you think about whether or not anyone is in the right in this game. When you play through the actions of both characters, sympathise with their own pain and see the horrible actions they commit, in the final battle you don't want them to fight, you've fought as both of them, expeiriencing their pain and witnessing the monstrous actiins they take makes you see them as neither good or bad: just human.

    As for the ending, it's meant to symbolise the act of breaking the cycle of violence, redeeming Ellie's humanity, and moving on from her loss like Abby had done with her fathers death. She had the chance to kill her, but she stopped because if she did kill Abby she would've truly lost everything, including herself. And when she returned back to her farm to try and play the guitar, it shows her how much this battle truly cost her. And when she leaves the guitar behind it symbolises her finally moving on, and her final redemption for what she has done.

    I know this review won't be helpful to most due to fan entitlement to character's and people wanting a better ending to a sequel to a beloved part 1. But ND made the right call in showing the cruelty of a dark apocalyptic world they made. This is one of the most immersive, realistic and possible game of the year titles I've ever had the blessing of playing. The only way to truly know how you feel about this game is to play the first and second games twice over, to understand the meaning of the world Neil Druckman created.

    The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

    Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
