    This game is an absolute masterpiece, kudos to Neil Druckmann and the Naughty Dog crew. Hands down the best, most immersive, emotionally draining, and intense video gaming experiences of my life. I can’t wait to immediately replay it.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Is good to see that ND SHOWED everyone that Joel was the worlds worst enemy from the first game. They did exactly what I hoped they would, by extending the world to other story arcs. Without having Abby's story told in this way and without Joel dying this would have been a complete waste. They were able to continue the story from where it ended last.. Ellie knew Joel was lying in the end and we get to see the fallout from his decision, emotionally from both perspectives.… Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Sinceramente, no tengo palabras para describir este juego, unos personas sumamente escritos a la perfección, los transfondos de cada uno de ellos, y la manera en la que evolucionan con el paso de la historia.
    Los graficos, que decir de ellos, SUBLIMES, ESPECTACULARES, no tengo otra palabras para describirlos, Naughty Dog está tan cerca de la perfección
    La jugabilidad, no es algo que sea novedoso, pero lo mejora a niveles increibles, y eso es algo muy importante y se merece ser visto de buena manera
    La historia, simplemente bellisima, no hay palabras, como engancharnos a unos personajes, ver sus detalles, sus acciones y como afectan a la trama, es algo increible, como tambien podemos tomar una reflección de que hasta que punto nos llevará la venganza y cuando deberemos dejar ir o continuar.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. personally i dont fully understand the this game is getting from players. the introduction almost matches the first game in intensity, and the death of Joel being unceremonious and quick made the whole situation feel more real. He had no last words to Ellie and hers were yelling at him to get up. And Abby as a character who learns compassion for children that otherwise she would have shot, really turns her into the protagonist of the story. Sure we all love Ellie but we have to admit she is the villain of this story. Abby sought after revenge for a reasonable reason, and didn't kill the others. Ellie rampaged and killed all of Abby's friends as revenge. And then doesn't kill abby to end the cycle of violence caused by Joel. Ellie lost everything, her "father" her girlfriend, and adopted child. The fact that people think because there were gay characters and a transgender child means they pushed their agenda amazes me. So what that they were in the game. Just because its the apocalypse doesnt mean they dont exist anymore. Ellie and Dina are still amazing characters and Lev was very likable. I thoroughly loved this game in the whole 27 hours i spent with it. The graphics were perfect. Writing was realistic and personable, the story was strong between both playable characters. The encounters were excellent. Gameplay additions although few were very well made. I absolutely give this game a 10/10 and don't understand any people that don't agree. And if you give it a bad review because you just don't like Homosexuals or trans people, then you don't deserve to write a review… Expand

    Like the first game and it’s DLC, this isn’t a game that everyone will enjoy and is in fact even more divisive than the first. I found the story to be devastating, heartbreaking, even enraging and I loved it. I think Naughty Dogs prowess in storytelling shines here more than any of their other games. The gameplay isn’t revolutionary, but it is polished. Every moment whether in stealth, aLike the first game and it’s DLC, this isn’t a game that everyone will enjoy and is in fact even more divisive than the first. I found the story to be devastating, heartbreaking, even enraging and I loved it. I think Naughty Dogs prowess in storytelling shines here more than any of their other games. The gameplay isn’t revolutionary, but it is polished. Every moment whether in stealth, a gunfight or a bare knuckle brawl feel tense and brutal.     Experiência singular, é um jogo maravilhoso! Não irá agradar a todos, mas quem gosta de um game bem elaborado, denso, e que te deixe desconfortável as vezes, vale a pena. Minha experiência é que o game é um progresso constante, está sempre melhorando e nos deixando de queixo caído.

    It's not the story that those who played the first part was expecting but it is FOR ME is perfect for the characters. The addition of Abby as playable character is much as good as Ellie's. However they didn't made the same decision as far as revenge goes. Kudos to Naughty Dog's team.

    Hasta donde voy el juego me ha encantando. El odio que esta teniendo el juego es justificado ? Nop. La perdida de un buen personaje no hara el juego malo, no me dejo llevar por el fanatismo obsesivo. Tratar el juego como una lesbiana enojada solo demuestra lo poco tolerantes que son y tratan como si eso fuera malo y nada que ver. Me imagino si meterian una escena sexual hetero dirianHasta donde voy el juego me ha encantando. El odio que esta teniendo el juego es justificado ? Nop.     Just as good as the first one! The story, the gameplay, the visuals: everything was amazing. The twists and ending are incredible. It took about 23 hours to finish for me, and it was definitely worth it. I cannot wait for the third one!

Ficou a desejar a jogabilidade e os cenários, achei que rolou pouca novidade, isso deixou até uma certa nostalgia do 1o jogo. Mas no contexto geral a Naugthy Dog arrasou abordando várias temáticas como perda, redenção, trauma, culpa e a linha tênue entre o amor e ódio...e sem deixar de dar o devido destaque “merecido” na ousadia em explorar a relação entre Ellie e Dina.     NO HAGAN CASO DE LAS EVALUACIONES NEGATIVAS. Una obra maestra espectacular! Gráficos avanzados de última generación, increíble jugabilidad, notable narración y trama. Vale absolutamente la pena jugarlo. Está a la altura de su antecesora. La recomiendo de todas maneras!

You soon figure out why Abby killed Joel and you start to feel for her. Most of the player reviews are people who haven't even played the game yet. They just rate it low because they know Joel died. Some people are pathetic. This game is amazing so far and I love that ellie is a lesbian and I respect it. Why are people so mad and mean to this game? I don't understand.     So good!! I don’t know why anyone would vote it so low. I know it’s incredibly gory but I just finished the game, and I felt an overwhelming rush of emotions. I don’t think I’ve ever had any other video game do that to me.

    Been playing the game for about a week now and I'm loving it, it gives me so much anxiety playing it but I usually get anxiety playing horror games. I love the new characters and story and I'll miss the old but if you live by the sword you'll die by the sword and that pain it cause me got me even more invested in the story

The gameplay is just like the first and gave me a Metal Gear vibe with all of the stealth. Game will clock you about 35 hours to complete too, only issue is you think its going to end at points but keeps going, which really isn’t an issue. The cast and crew from ND nailed it again. The negative reviews show how much people can be swayed and become sheep to an opinion of an out if context spoiler when the game is just incredible. A lot of tear jerkers and anxiety driven moments will keep to hooked until the end.… Expand

    Un estilo diferente ambientado en la vida real, la gente evolucionando y a la vez sufriendo por un apocalipsis, en tu caso que harías si estuvieras en ese mundo con tus familiares, el hecho de la critica negativa es porque no aceptan los diferentes cambios que se hicieron porque no aceptan esa "realidad"

    Filezin jogo ta mt pika os gráficos a ambientação é a dublagem está incrível, bom em termos de história está um pouco confuso, pq acaba que no trailer aparece joel vivo, mas no jogo ele acaba morrendo bem no começo da história o final do game tbm, não está tão bom tbm, mas de resto o jogo está incrível

    The brigading of this title is unfortunate, because it really is a masterpiece. If you enjoyed the first one, there is no reason you wouldn’t enjoy this one. Definitely highly recommend.

    Simplesmente o melhor jogo dessa geração. Rotwiro excelente que garante uma imersão absurda na historia. Personagens marcantes.
    Jogabilidade aprimorada.
    A Naught Dog foi bem ousada, porém coerente.

This game deserves to be fully played before making assumptions off the leaks I also didn’t think I was going to enjoy the games but I had already pre ordered it so I played it when I played as Abby I almost stopped playing I was so mad at naughty dog Bc they forced me to play as Abby but as I played as I saw what her back story was and how she was affiliated with Joel it’s makes you question who is the good guy and who is the bad guy and the answer is no one is it’s a story about humans who seek revenge but find regret and loss and deserves to be played for the amazing gameplay and story that could’ve been told differently chronologically then being split in two different stories that jumble up but it’s still a great story with beautiful scenery and with a story that will have you remember it for a long time… Expand

    This game is amazing. I was unsure going into it but I’m so glad I gave it a chance. Many of the fans that are bombing the game have a weird toxic And loyalty to ‘one’ of its characters. that loyalty is blinding them to the message of the game. It’s a amazing experience, it’s very long, but that means that it’s thorough with its themes and    I don’t know why this is getting reviewed bombed.

The History clears the doubts, of the past. Showing it from 2 perspectives. and new enemies, AI intelligence and i finished the first playtrought on Survivor and i explored a lot.Well Time to finish this mess. well i already finished TLOU2 And i have to say all the bad critics are pure Haters, Homophobes, XBOXSERS, and other community's, The Game is a very good game, GOOD SOUNDTRACK. Just because you don’t get the ending you want does not mean the game was bad Not everything is supposed to have a “happy ending” and that’s true about life. Yet many of you are crying and complaining about the fact that Abby didn’t die because it didn’t justify your need for vengeance.

    I personally think the writing was incredible. There were times were I was happy, there were times were I was sad, there were times were I was angry, there were times were I laughed and and a joke lightened the tone of the game. To say that the writing was bad clearly shows that the fandom is selfish and doesn’t understand the complexities of life.

    The game is set in a world where there is no rules but survival. Abby believed she was justified for killing Joel because he killed her father and essentially ruined humanity because there is no vaccine. Was it right for Abby to obsess and track her fathers killer for all these years? Probably not and even Owen wants her to give up on this hatred. She could’ve lived a happier life with her friends still living, But in the end she succumbs to the cycle of revenge and so will Ellie.

    To me that is great writing because we as the audience see a story from two point of views and see how each character develops differently. The moral of the story is that revenge is never the answer because it leads to both sides getting hurt. Trust me I wanted Abby dead as much as everyone else but imagine if the first Last of Us was played as Abby, we would want revenge on Joel too so people need to have an open mind and realize that not everything is gonna have a happy ending so grow up and stop complaining.    … Expand

However that's the only negative thing about the combat in my opinion. My only other nitpick is that their was only one part where you could freely roam a large map. I originally expected several sections like this but another one never came. Obviously the story and acting is amazing. The ending was heavy. This game is a clear 10/10.     Many of the reviews haven't even played the game. It's almost a 30 hour game and they've reviewed it less than 24 hours after release? No. This game is good. At first I wasn't a fan of the new playable character, but she grows on you. I still don't like her, but it was tolerable. Even though you lose a main character right away, the story still goes on. Very enjoyable game overall.

    I stayed away from all the spoilers and had the opportunity to play this game the way Naughty Dog intended. This game first appears to be like any other cookie-cutter vengeance/revenge story, but it slowly morphs into a compelling narrative with deeper themes. In fact, the game analyzes the very nature of vengeance, itself, and examines what this type of mentality can do to those who seek it out. If you are looking for a cheap revenge story, look elsewhere. This game is going to be over your head and you won't leave with any sense of satisfaction as a result.

    Many people misunderstand the final fight with Abby and assume that Ellie forgives her. Honestly, the final fight (to me) has nothing to do with Abby. It is all about Ellie and how she is unable to let go of her own guilt and the things holding her still. Throughout the story, Ellie keeps tapping into a darkness inside of her (this is very evident in scenes like when she beats Nora for information). She is seeking vengeance at that point in the game, and much like Abby she is laser-focused on achieving that goal. It is not easy to play a character you love go through that.

    Playing as Abby in the second half of the game is not an attempt to make people care about her (in my opinion). Rather, it is meant to show what being obsessed with vengeance does to a person. And like it or not, if you were on board with killing Abby then you are kind of on board with killing Joel, too. It's the same type of vengeance, forcing a player to actually ask whether it matters who is right or wrong.

    In the end, I cared about Ellie. I didn't want her to seek vengeance because I watched what it did to Abby... Abby gives up a chance at a happy life with Owen and dedicates her life to finding her father's killer.

    In the same way, Ellie gives up her happy life with Dina. Why? Vengeance. The result? She loses everything she has... just like Abby. With that done, Ellie can find something to live for. So she leaves her last behind and she seems just that. Brilliant game!

    Ellie has to decide to let go. Her final memory with Joel is about trying to forgive him, a desire to start anew. Ellie wanted to work toward forgiving Joel for what he did at the end of the first game (robbing her death of purpose). In the sequel's final fight, Ellie doesn't have to forgive Abby. Abby is a ghost to her, a nothing... a shell of what she once hated. Maybe even a reflection of what she has become. And thinking of Joel saves her in the end. So how does Joel's death serve no purpose? It sounds like it has a profound purpose to me. Ellie has to make the conscious decision to let go---to release the nightmares that prevented her from moving on. She does that, in the end. She is a stronger character because of it. If she didn't make that choice, she would keep seeking out her demons, ignoring Joel's advice at the end of the first game to find things worth living for. Ellie's entire life has been spent living up to what other people chose for her. The fireflies wanted her to be a sacrifice to save humanity, so she trekked out to find them. Joel wanted her to be a second daughter, so she stayed with him. Dina wanted her to be a farm wife. Tommy wanted her to be a tool for vengeance. In this game, Ellie deals with all of those influences. Everything she touches goes sour. So she chooses to let go. In the end, she can start being her. She gets to choose that destiny. Explain how that isn't a fantastic ending?

    Finally, to address the topic of "Joel would never trust a stranger or let his guard down around one" and other such criticisms I keep hearing: At the end of the first game, Joel changes. Don't know if you all caught onto that or not, but he starts opening up about Sarah, starts making plans with Ellie and genuinely wants to put his past behind him. The idea that four years living in civilization and raising another daughter would have no effect on him or change his outlook is absurd. Ellie changed him in the first game. Why wouldn't she continue to have that effect for FOUR more years?

    Maybe, just maybe, try to approach the game with a reasoned open mind. You might enjoy what you find there. Then again, a lot of people were unwilling to give this game a fair shake from the start.

    Obviously, there are people who play the game and hate it. Not trying to say this game is perfect. It isn't. It's perfectly fine that not everyone enjoyed the game. But when a game gets THIS much criticism and is actually put together extremely well, one does have to wonder if maybe this title is just too ahead of its time and simply wasted on this generation? Sadly, I cannot dive into the criticisms of the game that I do have because of the nonsensical review bombing. So I will finish the review here. None of it's flaws detract from a beautifully crafted narrative.    … Expand

It's a 25-30 hour game, so most of these reviews are from ppl who are only partially through the game. I know what happened. Everyone seen that "you know who" died. Turned the game off, and ran to give they're bad review. I get it. I was upset to. But the more I played. The more I realized what they did was pure genius. I was so upset about Joel dying that I didn't want to give Abby a chance. And before I realized it, she was growing on me. And tbe reason for that was because her and joel are alot alike. What she did was fucmed up. But so was a lot of what Joel did. We never got to see Joel do a bunch of terrible things, we just heard about them. This game was more about abbys character transformation, the same transformation we seen joel make in the original. This game is an absolute masterpiece, and I hope it will get the credit it deserves in time. I know everyone wanted another Joel and Abby Story, I did too. But what we got was so much better… Expand

I don't understand why people think there was plot holes everywhere and the backstory for Abby wasn't enough, I felt for her and I understood so much by getting to play as her, at first I wasn't so happy because this girl killed Joel! but in the end I understood why they did it.
    The ending made so much sense, the game took such a crazy turn that I didn't expect at all. but in the end it broke my heart. But i'm so happy I got to play it and feel such strong emotions from a game. It had the same mechanics as the first game which I loved, and the character development from Ellie at the end of the game was outstanding. I was on the edge of my seat playing this game and just wondering how it was going to end. I truly am so satisfied with this game. In my opinion, this game was a masterpiece.    … Expand

Para mí el juego es muy bueno, si bien las primeras horas te pueden parecer un poco pesadas, cada que te vas adentrando a la historia empiezas a percibir ese deseo que tiene Ellie de venganza sin importar las repercusiones que esta cause, otra cosa que me gusto es ver la parte de Abby, pues considero que era necesario para darle más sentimiento a la parte final del juego.
    otro punto a favor es el rival final de Abby, me pareció algo sublime tener a Elie como boss, quedé sorprendido.
    Y aunque el juego en general me apreció perfecto, esa última hora me parecía un poco excesiva, que estaba un poco de más, pero al ver el final creo que esta justificada.
    Sin más el final no me gustó, y no porque sea malo, el final es fantástico, pero me dejo un sentimiento muy feo, casi lloro por la manera en que Elie pierde todo, y sin conseguir nada.    … Expand

    Tremendo en todo sentido. Las críticas negativas se deben simplemente a un nulo entendimiento de lo políticamente correcto. Por ningún motivo este juego entra en eso, como películas como the last Jedi o Capitana Marvel, en donde no existe desarrollo de personajes.

I'm into survival horror much more than action/adventure, so I am surprised that anyone could have a problem with the game being "unrelentingly bleak." For me, that a bonus. The gameplay and storyline are ethically demanding and emotionally taxing. You are forced to reckon with the violence your characters partake in and from multiple angles. Becoming attached to opposing characters in the game made it truly disturbing and uncomfortable when circumstances got reversed. This kind of storytelling is more common in literature than in games, and I appreciated it greatly. Beware of all the snap judgments out there: a proper playthrough takes 25 to 35 hours, and the internet was flooded with bashing mere hours after release. On top of that, characters not behaving the way you wish they would is not a plot hole.… Expand

La verdad a mi me parece un juego excelente a nivel gráfico y su jugabilidad, tal vez la historia no es la mejor pero para mi se merece un 10, por otro lado es mejor que la gente que solo vino a tirar hate al juego que no esté aquí ya que no aprecia la calidad del juego, para mi se merece ser el mejor juego del año, no vas a encontrar nada parecido en otro lugar, yo si terminé el juego y estoy dando mi opinión una vez terminado, no soy como esas personas que no lo han terminado o que ni siquiera tienen el juego y lo critican y lo vuelvo a repetir, para mi es el mejor juego de todos ya que... Aunque es un juego lineal, parece un juego de mundo abierto por lo grande de los escenarios. Muchos se quejan de la muerte de joel y les recuerdo que la historia se basa en un mundo apocalíptico, aquí no hay héroes no porque eres el prota vas a estar vivo porque no hay héroes y no habrán, el juego es super realista en ese punto y otros se quejan sobre el final de que ellie no venga a joel y yo a qui les pregunto.... No pasó lo mismo en el primer juego?, al final joel no entregó a ellie, no sucedió lo que lógicamente tenía que pasar, pues en este caso es lo mismo, como va avanzando la historia la mentalidad del personaje cambia y la gente que solo critica para tirar mierda del juego les digo que se ven muy mal ya que ni siquiera tienen el juego o no lo han terminado, este es el mejor juego de todos y por eso le doy un 10… Expand

    El juego puede parecer un poco pesado en algunos segmentos de la trama, pero en general te muestra lo crudo que puede ser la vida y el camino de la venganza.
    Gameplay 100% disfrutable y dinamico, igual a tlou pero mejorado.
    Recomendado aún con toda la mala critica sin fundamento.
