    I love the last of us part II It was amazing. The last 3 chapters i was a mess everything was so intense and real touching. I'm already waiting for the part 3 please Neil and everyone on ND make it real!

    Amazing game, the perfect continuation, incredible graphics for a PS4, better Gameplay and gunplay than in the first, and a darker story but well done, where a lot of unexpected events happens.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Amazing game. Naughty dog is limited with the graphics and what they can do with the current hardware. Wait for the new hardware to come out and possibly, most likely last of us part 3. This game shows the dynamic of the franchise and how it can immerse you in the world and relate. This is a world of dead. An apocalypse. The world has ended and there is people who survive and people who die simple. Not every death will be deserved or the best way to die it’s an apocalypse. That is the point of story telling. You have good and bad moments. Will it be sad at Times yes. When Joel dies yes it was sad and it hurts but not everything will be roses. Not everyone will just die on a death bed. The game is meant to be like that it’s called great story telling. Different story telling it’s not like your typical game that sticks with the same characters for 5 or so games. Then if that was case you same people would complain how it’s josh Joel and Ellie and not anyone new. They took the shocking approach. Ellie is still alive. Yes Joel dies but he had a great legacy and will forever be remembered. Abby is still alive which can spark up stuff for a third game. We have new characters that they can build off of and make you love them as well. I know people want more backstory playtime with Abby to get invested. Maybe that comes in another game. I’m fine with what I got because most people just wanna know why and they tell you why and yes if someone dad dies it’s enough to want to kill someone. Plain and simple. I think some people just saw cut scenes heard spoilers and said forget the game without playing through it and getting that experience as too why. It’s a great game with a great story again. Just have to learn how to get over stuff it’s a game. Also if you are leaving a bad review or rating because Ellie is lesbian then figure your life out. That is not a reason to hate a game get over yourself and be a adult. Otherwise the game is great I still think first one is better but this game is great. People need to stop whining it’s a game it’s meant to have heartbreak and sad stuff.     I just played through the game and was thrilled in every way until i saw the reviews of it here on Metacritic! I was shocked at how many people rated this game so badly, and this shortly after the release. It is simply impossible to play through the game at this time, which made me wonder what the basis of most reviews is.

    First we come to the gameplay and graphics:

    -The graphics are absolutely mindblowing, for a title that is still on the
    old generation consoles, it looks really beautiful.

    -the gameplay is not as many say monotonous and boring. Because in my opinion it's one of the best there is. It may be sluggish, but whether or not someone likes it depends on their opinion of such realistic gameplay. I myself find the realism and the feeling of always being vulnerable sensational!

    Now to the most criticized part: THE STORY

    The story may not be everybody's cup of tea but it's not bad in any way. Because Naughty Dog does something no one has ever done before, it questions your own decisions and makes you look at Ellie and Joel's story from a different angle. It shows the consequences based on our decisions in the first part, which when you think about it were devastating. Keyword: the last mission in the hospital! I couldn't put the controller away while I was playing through. The game simply tied me away.

    ATTENTION SPOILER:

    Many criticize the decision of joel's death, which I believe was well founded at the end of the game and not too bad. Just because the main character of the old game dies doesn't mean that the new main protagonist is worse. Ellie plays herself great and is still one of the most interesting characters there is.

    Now for the conclusion:
    The game has captivated me like no other game! It made me think and made me fear it. This is the first game in which I question my own actions, and I am shown that there are always two sides of a story and not everything you do can be justified. One of best animations in all time, and the best facial expressions ever. Great desing levels, and a big upgrade in the AI.     Besides the graphics, AI and all tech that all loved the game presents a complex approach to problems and shares different points of view building where you play to build the character you see how they become what they are now and what if on the alternative timeline could have been done to prevent all of that to happen. Some points regarding some sensitive matter could have been addressed with more concern and should have a little bit extra development to not fit on the cliche plot, but this doesn't reduce the overall psychologic concept that the game is bringing that you must look in a whole and not analyze in pieces.… Expand

    The Game sets new scores in emotional storytelling & development of the actions. Besides, the graphics & atmosphere is simply astonishing.

    I am writing this review whilst listening to the end credits, which probably makes me one of the few who have actually finished the game before publishing a review.     Breaking this down in segments firstly the game's graphics are probably the best I have ever seen if not top 5, everything you look at is just shockingly beautiful from start to finish, often found my self walking so I could take a look at everything.

    Acting/performances are just second to nun expect the same sort of quality as with the first game, simply outstanding.

    Gameplay and mechanics have massively improved allowing for much much more variety in attacking.

    NOW the elephant in the room.
    The story, The last of us 2 tries to make some extremely bold moves right from the start and some work some don't, I think given the chance however you if you play the entire game your mind is changed..
    The theme is Rage, revenge and forgiveness you are constantly second-guessing yourself throughout the game questioning if your actions are just.
    The game really forces you to see both ends of the perspective, I do wish they allowed you to make some of the choices throughout as often you are forced to do some questionable actions.
    I won't say any more than that.

    If you enjoyed the first game as far as I am concerned this is a must-play as you will get answers to some of those questions, we all had at the end of the first.

    I really wish the leaks didn't happen for this game as i feel people have jumped the gun read the story and not actually played the game itself.

    Naughty Dog has absolutely delivered a worthy sequel.    … Expand

    People just didn't like the game because it doesn't give what you want. It makes you uncomfortable at certain points, but the director said it would happen. It must be said, however, that the fans in the first place are you who despise him for Joel's death, because believing a poor and forced following only for the raw and violent death of the previous one is 101% fanboy. Another highly discussed point is the fact that Joel's killer will not be killed, and if he considers it also for this reason, he has not received and lived the story in full, in order to include such an ending like this.     Absolutely fantastic!
    Engrossing story. Well developed characters. Visually stunning. Brutal and upsetting. I am at an age now where playing games is a luxury, due to pressures of time and life in general, so I am chosing them carefully as I am struggling to carve time again once I put the controller down. This game sucked me in and spit me out in pieces.
    Entertainment at its finest.

    Un juego a la altura de las expectativas, lo he disfrutado mucho, con un apartado gráfico que roza el techo de la generación y una gran cantidad de detalles, increible.
    La jugabilidad, sobretodo en los combates, es muy alta y además parece que se adeapta el moviemento de Elli cuando topa con una pared o se apoya en un sitio. Los combates son muy crudos.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This game is absolutely stunning, and I was continually shocked at the levels of detail and nuance used throughout. I am happy to have avoided the leaks before the game came out - even though I caught wind of Joel's demise - because that left me able to make up my own mind with the game.

    I read and hear people saying that things didn't make sense with either how characters acted in a certain situation instead of being more suspicious. But what they're not taking into account is what often happens after a high stress situation - you relax. Even if just for a little bit. Joel, Tommy and Abby had gone through a high stress situation together. They worked as a team to survive. It makes sense that their guard was down. Disappointing, but it happened.

    As players in an RPG, we don't get that personal experience because we're taught to be on guard the whole time, and most importantly - by our self with no-one else to rely upon. So, naturally, our guard will stay up after a tense exchange with the WLF, The Seraphites or the Infected. No-one has our back, so it's in our best interests to stay on guard until the ominous music stops.

    It seems the critiques of this situation are purely taking an intellectual perspective, rather than taking into account the emotion side as well. It's always easy to "As if" from the sidelines...

    Next thing:

    Any complaints about LGBT inclusion in the game as being political, woke, or any other description is missing the point. This is commentary on both the past and present acceptance of this community. To be accepting of it isn't about being "woke", it's purely about acceptance of another human being. The reason it's being talked about nowadays is because it's no longer taboo, or putting someone's life at risk for that being their life. TLOU2 shows the cross of old thinking with current acceptance - The Scars vs. Abby. It also shows that some elements and struggles in a post-apocalyptic may not be that different from what we experience in our comfortable arm-chair lifestyle that we have today.

    Last thing:

    I hear complaints about not enough advancements in game-play mechanics. TLOU has always been about story first. In fact, Naughty Dog has been very consistent with this right from the beginning of the Uncharted series. Yeah, the gameplay mechanics were ok, but it was the STORY and characters that we connected with the most. ND pioneered mo-cap, and moved the industry as a result. When we talk about our favourite moments in TLOU1, it's not about this or that fight that we had. We talk about the moments that were cinematics - moments that we were the passenger as that moment of the story unfolded. Ummmm.... Same thing here! Yeah, there were improvements to gameplay mechanics - were they revolutionary? Mostly no. But that's not where their full efforts go. Everyone loved the first game even though there was wide acknowledgement that the gameplay mechanics weren't as good as othe games. This is called balance.

    Ok, ACTUAL last thing...

    I don't know how people were finishing the game in 25-28 hours! It took me just shy of 41 hours over 4 days to knock this game out. I got complete value for money out of it. Yes, I looked in every nook and cranny to get the most out of it. I soaked it all up. All the little details hiding in the different corners. This is a HUUUGE RPG, and so worth exploring all the little details that this team has worked tirelessly to be able to achieve.

    I absolutely loved this game. I'll play it again and again for sure. Perfectly legitimised itself as a sequel with beautifully executed ties to the first one to create drama and resolution.    … Expand

It’s about how everyone has a monster inside, and what it will take for it to come out. It’s about how life can break people. It’s about how revenge and vengeance kill the person seeking it more than the one they are seeking. It’s about how **** unfair life is. It’s about life itself...and finding a meaning for living. This isn’t a pleasant game to play, but it’s **** incredible. It makes you feel really uncomfortable. It makes you hate what you’re doing and who you’re controlling. It makes you question things you’d never thought about. It makes you hate people you thought you loved, and feel faint pangs of sympathy for those who you thought you hated, but still hate them. The ending is all kinds of frustrating. There’s no closure. But again, it’s real life. It’s a question of life purpose, the purpose of revenge vs forgiveness, and the toll seeking revenge takes on a person and their own life. Losing everything and gaining nothing in the end. It’s **** sad but real. It’s not nice. It’s a story about humans, and the darkness and light in us all. Honestly, If you don’t feel all those things, you’re looking at it in the wrong way. It was never supposed to be a happy ending. If you’re looking for one, don’t expect it with this. PS: it’s full of all the cool stuff from the first part that we all loved: fighting infected (with new additions that are really challenging), fighting enemies with incredibly realistic gameplay, new weapons, prone position for stealth missions, sniffer dogs & fight scenes so intense you hold your breath. The cinematic features & graphics are out of this world, and the ‘agenda’ (aka Ellie being gay & Lev being trans) has no real relevance to the story but is just a part of the characters’ stories and **** brilliant. And despite everything they do, Ellie and Joel remain my two favourite game characters to ever exist.    … Expand

I personally enjoyed it (despite what everyone else says) even though I’m still devastated and shocked about Joel’s death. People just focus on the parts they don’t like about the story and just say the game is trash. The level of realism in animations are perfect. You can feel that the npc's are also people, not like other npc's in other games. So overall, this game is ART and it is one of the best.… Expand

    An unbelievably great game. Loved the first one and loved part 2 just as much. Was so obsessed with finding out how it ends that I played it through in 2 days. And it’s very replayable and I plan on starting it again tonight. If you enjoyed the first one, you will enjoy this.

    Is this game not what I've expected? Yes, it isn't! But that is the point I loved. In every second I didn't know, what is next. Everything could happen and that is, what i liked.

    This game, what to I have to say? It's one of the best and most exciting experiences in my life. I never ever played a game like this and felt this feeling about a game. When Joel dies, you think that the game is destroyed, it's not worth playing anymore. But, trust me, you I'll get one of the best experience of your life. The Last Of Us Part 2 shows us that revenge is a fool's game. The Last Of Us Part 2 teaches us that there isn't a good guy or a bad guy, there are people, trying to survive and make the life worthy. If you ask me about the Gameplay, Music, Scenarios, Characters and all that stuff, you will get from me a ton of 10/10, the gameplay is like the first game, with some good improvements. The music by Gustavo Santaolalla is perfect and fits perfectly with the style of the game. Characters may not see quite "good" at first look, but, as the story is been told, you start to love and understand them. The graphics are astonishing, and probably the beautiful graphic of the generation. But, what really catches you is the story. At first you don't understand why to play with Abby, and you become very mad to play with Joel's murderer, but as the game continues, you start to see that Abby is like Joel, a person who is strong, and very mad with everything, and when Lev is introduced, Abby starts to change and become as Joel were in the ending of The Last Of Us. I cried so much when Ellie was trying to play Future Days without her fingers, and when Joel was trying to apologize with her and her was trying to sorry him.     I love this game it was extremely emotional and with a negative story but that's real life, after all Joel and Ellie have been true a happy ending is an unbelievable ending. So I am sad about the events that occurs in the game but that doesn't make the game bad, it's amazing

    Yes Joel dies in the first few hours and yes you play as Abbey, the girl that killed him but there is a VERY good reason for that. By the end and the big Ellie/Abbey confrontation you seriously don’t know who you want to win. I grew to like Abbey and was really hoping that Ellie didn’t kill her, she was only seeking revenge for her dads murder and left Ellie alive, but Ellie carved her way through half of Seattle looking for her revenge.
