I will gladly say this..this game isn't what we wanted, but it's what we needed. Naughty Dog deserves immense about of respect and commemoration for this title as they bravely shift the theme entirely from the first game to deliver a dark deep piece of storytelling that will no doubt be highly polarizing to several archaic recipients.

But I reminded myself that NaughtyDog made good stories and characters time and time again, so let's just enjoy playing this game in healthy environment. Meaning don't judge everything and just enjoy the ride.

Overall. The game is sick if you avoid any unnecessary judgments and fully commit to the story which affect many characters differently. Feeling what they feel is a key.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. When everyone looked forward to this second installment, the press and critics expected one more game from the pile, while the fandom expected the best game ever. The consequence of this is that the expectations of these make them rise to settle for a perfect video game, which is why it is impossible to achieve, and at the time of arrival of the product, the same fandom due to high expectations that exceed, the product becomes the most hated. and throw trash without justification by putting it under bad video games as if it were the worst in history. When I play the last of us part 2 I see its visual and playable appeal being one of the best seen on a ps4 with a console whose life cycle is about to end and it is something extremely recognizable being a game with multiple options and fun, the story It is good but not as good as its predecessor and the fact that it is so does not mean that we will throw garbage at it. To be frank, the last of us part 2 is the best that has been seen in recent years whose history (not being the best) shows us how human he really is and how hatred and revenge can consume us faster than as an infected becomes a chubby and the real threat is not infected, but ourselves. The story is enjoyable but with dips and ups but frantic but with a slight abuse in cinematics, what I say is how it should be recognized or recorded but unfortunately the game community and the hype do not allow it to be, if you liked the story not Praise him as the best and if you don't like him, don't **** him until he is killed, but anyway, if there is one thing that leaves us as a moral, it is that the last of us part 2 is just one of many games ruined by the hype and the gaming community whose majority of these have not even played it and they spend watching the live shows and this does not make tlou fans look bad, but the entire gaming community as one of the most toxic communities. My final score for the last of us part 2 is 8/10: attractive visual and playable but with a good story but not as much as its predecessor. Postata: for those who hate the game because of Joel's death, you have to be honest: it had to happen if or if, dear to the character, his death had to happen after what he did in the one Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Allow me to preface this review by saying, there's a lot to unpack here. First, let's address the principle game-play, and more superficially, the visual artistry and fidelity. The Last of Us Part II really takes the original recipe, when it comes to combat, navigation, and general ease/deftness of movement, and refines it into something far more palatable for the current generation. that said, it's no reinvention, there's nothing revolutionary in it's realization, but there are some added spices that make it all the more enjoyable. Namely, the ability to dodge, go prone, and jump; simple quality of life improvements that actually make a world of difference in keeping things immersive and grounded. combat feels visceral, and supremely brutal, in its affect. Though even with this nuanced approach, and however immersive the character models and their wonderfully realized range of realistic expressions, conversations, and movement might be, enemies you encounter are often painfully oblivious on any difficulty. This often stands in stark contrast to the gravity of the situations you, Ellie, and Abbie, find yourselves in as you lurk about, head on a swivel, desperate to remain undetected by deadly enemies, before you realize that they must all suffer from severe vision impairment, as merely squatting far enough away in broad daylight, in direct line of sight, renders you nigh invisible. This is not to say that there aren't brilliant, spontaneous and organic moments to be had with this game's combat system, there are, and i find that these things largely balance each other out, but there is a certain amount of accompanying clunk, as much present today as it was on PS3, with the franchise's previous installment. Now, how all of this is presented, the way it looks, sounds, and behaves; gorgeous, simply immaculate. This is truly one of the most beautiful and articulate renderings of a world you will see this generation, the same could be said of the accompanying ambient environmental sounds as well as score. There's no lack of small lovingly, and painstakingly placed detail to just stop and marvel at. i found myself just taking moments to casually walk about and appreciate what it was i was seeing and just how authentic it felt. Not a title to be missed in this regard.

Now, with regard to plot, theme, characters, and all that entails; I've read a lot of staunch opinions on this subject and can't say i agree with the vast majority of them. i won't presume to invalidate anyone else's opinion, but here are some thoughts, bearing in mind my opinion of this game's overarching story is, without a doubt, positive: our reintroduction to Joel and Ellie from the early hours of TLOU2 is the natural evolution of a relationship built upon Joel's decision from the previous game. A tremendously far reaching, and understandably, if not entirely justifiably, selfish decision to save someone he loved. A decision that Ellie ultimately discovered the truth of, shattering the trust between them. We see, and become aware, indirectly, of the weight placed upon Ellie in knowing that in some way the world and it's people may well have been doomed to suffer because of her. we see the resentment of being alienated in not being given a choice one way or another, perhaps she would have given her life if it meant a chance for a world that could recover. I'd like to think the old Ellie would have. this transformation into a darker shade of herself becomes apparent in the deftness and subtlety of storytelling and the supreme talent and quality of voice acting and motion capture. Like so many others in the world, Ellie became a person haunted by the irrevocable past. When, after Joel's death, she embarks on a quest for retribution, she is not herself, as so many have noted. but this is not some inexplicable change of character, rather the seething influence of grief. Ellie and Abby are foils of each other in this regard, and her role as a playable antagonist is not some device aimed at attempting to cajole pity or sympathy for the person or her actions, but to highlight what has always been evident: none of the central characters, not Joel, Ellie, Dina, Jesse, or Abby are "good" people, anymore than they are "bad" people. They have all done great and terrible things, to survive, to protect someone, to take control of their lives. The added perspective asks us to examine our all too common and selfish preconceived notions of what is right, wrong, or justified and to consider that perhaps there is no right answer. Everything that was lost by both Abby and Ellie by the end of their stories, all the pain visited upon them, was the direct product of their actions. That Ellie ultimately broke the cycle of aggression by sparing Abby does not rend meaning from experience. This was never a story of revenge, but an examination of the fragile and all too common human condition. This was not a perfect game, but it was truly meaningful and worthwhile.

Pretty much all these review bombs saying the games story is terrible are just people who are unable to accept the fact that companies sometimes need to add and change things to the sequel. Most are saying how unlikable Abby is and for me I can agree with some of that. But at this point most of these bad reviews just want something to hate. In all honesty Abby is such a pain to see in the game in the beginning. Even as the game went on and I still was playing Ellie I hated her more and more. But finally I got to play as her and it put things in perspective. It shows you the other side of things and how Ellie isn’t always in the right just because she’s the protagonist. You slowly start to bond and kinda like the people you set out and killed earlier in the story which I really liked. Don’t get me wrong this game sure isn’t perfect but most of these terrible reviews are just white knight Joel butt buddies who are just sad you can’t play as him again Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. To be honest, the story is not on the same level as part 1 but it is still a good story. It is darker than the first one and that shows. The story is about revenge, where something happens which forces Ellie to seek out a group and kill them. It shows more perspectives on the same situation which ultimately gives the player some form of empathy towards both the protagonist and the antagonist. The characters in this are not as likable as the first, and some of them are unnecessary and two dimensional. But the game is focused around Ellie, and not Ellie and her friends. You don’t get any background on the other characters that is not player controlled. But even then does the game portray Ellie extremely well

I can understand that people are disappointed in the story, but even though the game don’t have the same standard as its predecessor, it is still a great game with better storytelling than most story driven games I have played I won’t say that all the negative reviews are about the lgbtq+ aspect in Ellie’s relationship, but some of them are, and to be honest it isn’t too much or too forced as some people make it out to be. It’s just there and wouldn’t change the story too much if Ellie where to be straight. There are more aspects that makes this game great; the graphics, the gameplay, and the overall environment you are in. I give this game an 8 because of the reasons I wrote in this review. I actually enjoyed it, but it doesn’t get a 10 because of the lackluster storytelling and plot holes that exist within the game

P.S. This game doesn’t deserve all the negative criticism that it got, as some people give it 0:s and 1:s because they either don’t like the overall story, or that it is not as good as the first one. This game could never reach the bar set by the first one, because of how pivotal the first one were to the gaming industry. There was no game like it, but now you have games such as Detroit become human, Jedi fallen order etc. that follows the same format as a story driven game as the las of us 1. To reach the same level in this game is impossible, so don’t judge it because of that

I think The Last Of Us: Part II is even better than the previous one, don't get me wrong, the previous one was a masterpiece, but it doesn't reflect the sincerity of the world, since they give us to know that Joel and Ellie are like others, THEY ARE PEOPLE, they are not heroes. They show us that just like we kill people they also kill, and they also have loved ones. It seems to me that as Ellie develops in this installment it is fantasticshow us an Ellie who falls in love and goes through different situations, either like the death of her peers/relatives until she realizes that the best way to pay homage to shes friend is being better than him. It lets us know that sooner or later things are over, whether it's like our loved ones or as some feeling. Also I don't want people to take it the wrong way, this is my point of view, obviously there's always going to be people who don't like the game or who just don't support it .But it seems to me that The Last Of Us: Part II, is and will be a complete past and jewel of play. The new enemy's can now again be a little challenge but once you get use to their movements they can be figured out. In some situations you do.have to think what is the best approach to get through the area. Theres lots of hidden items to discover and new weapons to try. I have recently completed it, and yes I can see myself saying it again.

For the negatives sometimes the areas are too big to explore just for supplies and now and again you get a little tires of searching every corner but it is essential to find bullets and crafting items to survive the game. In the stealth sections some of the enemies behave the same formula and feels like a repetition of the last encounter but it doesn't dampen the game play too much.

There is one thing that I would like to say to reviews on here. Some.of them were posted minutes or hours after the games release to give it negative feedback. These are reviews from people who didnt really play much of a game or have never played the game and are just jumping the band wagon from social media. It's worth buying and adding to the collection of playstation exclusives. It deserves to be on the same shelf of horizon zero dawn, god.of war and spider-man. Having finished The Last of Us Part II I felt depressed, the game left me in a rough shape, but it was worth it. I strongly believe that It is an experience that caters differently to every single player, so I don’t think going over the story would be really substantial in this text. Just remember: Character progression in important in storytelling, and the main characters really end up learning their lesson in the end, with a high cost for everyone. Sure, it's rough and non-satisfactory, but that's the way it should be with a story like the one being told in TLOU 2.
All I wanna ask of anyone reading this: try to play/watch the game without being prejudiced by the backlash, or even positive comments. Try to get your own opinion. In the very least, if you dislike the story, you’ll get some amazing set pieces and intense combat, plus a wonderful soundtrack/atmosphere.
9/10 for me. The -1 is due to a weird pacing in the second half of the game and some characters lacking “chemistry”. Apart from that, it was so worth the wait, the hype, and the time I invested.
Once in a lifetime experience for me. Hope you’ll find ways to enjoy it as well.
When in the dark, look for the light.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The Last of Us Part 2 has a complex story, and might be the best looking game of this generation, Part 3 coming soon?

The gameplay has been remade and it shows. It improves on the TLOU1 mechanics and you can see that very easily, the gameplay easily is the best part of the game.

The graphics are also improved heavily. Since the game is linear, they tried to make the graphics better then any other Video Games have and they achieved it.

Now let's get into the story. TLOU 2 has a really complex story that not everyone might understand. I will get into spoilers from now so be sure to finish the game before reading my review.

The story takes it's place during a few years. There are 2 playable characters (Ellie and Abby). At the beginning of the game we see Abby killing Joel but the game doesn't give us a proper reason till we reach half of the game. The Fireflies are gone and now there are 2 new groups, WLF and Scars (Seraphites). For the first half of the game you play as Ellie, you are on a quest to find Abby and the rest of the group that helped her kill Joel. You will go through Seattle for a period of 3 days. After you reach half of the game you find out that Abby and her father were part of the Firefly group, and that her father was the doctor supposed to make the cure for the virus by killing Ellie. While everyone saw Abby as the antagonist, she has a pretty similar story to Ellie. At the end you are playing as Ellie, everything is good now. Dina has a kid and Tommy is still alive. The last fight is Ellie vs Abby and you are playing as Ellie. At the end of the fight you nearly kill Abby but a flashback with Joel comes up, Ellie lets Abby live because now she understands why Abby killed Joel. Abby escapes and reaches the newly formed Firefly group. Ellie goes back to the farmhouse to find Dina and the kid left. Ellie goes to the guitar but she can't sing anymore since she lost 2 fingers. She leaves the guitar near the window and the game ends.

Now here comes the complex part that i think everyone missed. When the guitar and window are focused on the screen, Ellie is seen leaving the house but in a blurry vision. It most probably represents that Ellie finally forgave that Joel saved her, and even forgave Abby for what she did. Ellie finally understood why both Joel and Abby did it. The guitar in the window means that Ellie left the house leaving everything that has happened behind and she wants to continue her life without thinking about the past anymore, she knows that rage and revenge won't get her anywhere. The story wants to tell you that we are all humans and that we do things because of our rage, and we don't think about our actions before doing it.

The game left me speechless. Everyone has a different opinion and everyone should say it out loud.

This is what i thought about the game.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The Last of Us 2 is a game that will leave you haunted with thoughts long after you finish it. Not only did it make you think about the choices you made but the consequences of those choices. Most games won't go far enough to think beyond the 'justified' rampage. Beyond that, the story was complex, breaking down the traditional archetypes that defined what being a protagonist or antagonist truly means. The parallels between Ellie and Abby's story were beautifully tied together with Abby being just a few steps ahead of Ellie both linearly and emotionally. Expand

What I learnt from this game is, this game makes me understand that human beings could never understand each other, either between Ellie/Abby, or between gamers. Personally I love this game, but i have quite twisted feeling during the play, which no other "entertaiment" ever bring me this feeling during 30 years. Only from Naughty Dog. Thank you for your sacrifice.

I'm happy to admit I was wrong. While not as focused, maybe, as the first, it's a sprawling emotional epic that addresses *that* ending of part one slowly and with great care over the course of its 25-30 hour play. It manages to dissect that final moment between Ellie and Joel from Part 1 in a comprehensive and thoughtful way. The Naughty Dog team is able to express so much through the mood and tone alone-- lighting, sound design and music, the sets (the decaying cities being reclaimed by nature-- that layering of worlds-- has never been so well realized), the camera work-- the crew members at Naughty Dog are the real stars. That's not to say the performances aren't great. Ashley Johnson once again is a stand out as Ellie. Ellie transforms over the course of the story, events slowly wear her down, but we are also given glimpses of her younger, vibrant and hopeful self as well. That's all made possible by Ashley Johnson's voice work and motion/facial captured performances. Troy Baker's Joel is an older Joel. Nostalgic and wistful. Sad. Lonely. Kind. Clumsy. Brutal. His conscience is clearly weighing on him and Baker can show this by saying very little.

Where it was the morality of the ending of part one that was so... discussion-worthy for me and many others, this game I find myself thinking over moral dilemmas from several points in the game's story after having finished it. There is a lot to chew on here with themes of forgiveness and empathy, tribalism, vengeance/justice, and dealing with grief/loss present both in the main story and throughout the environments and contextual notes. The Last of Us as a series presents us with acts of violence or selfishness as contagious as the fungal infection-- cause and effect; the cure presented in Part 2 is not a vaccine, but an act of kindness and selflessness that can be equally as contagious.

Aside from all that, it's a brutal post-apocalyptic neo-noir western revenge story. Film and literary references to stories about cycles of violence and vengeance (Moby Dick, Godfather Part II, Princess Mononoke, to name a few), too, are dense and sprinkled sprinkled throughout. It's a well crafted, tight 3rd person stealth action shooter with tense and desperate combat, some light crafting, engaging environmental puzzles... What more do you want from a game?

This game is such a massive shift from the first one, story wise. The storytelling, imo, is amazing. It is literally the first time any entertainment media has left me feeling so uncomfortable, conflicted and so emotionally exhausted. The gameplay is an organic evolution of the first one, adding little bits of refinement here and there. I like how they added a little bit of exploration and multiple routes to tackle an encounter. Graphically, it is one of the best looking games of this generation on any platform. Voice acting, as expected, is top notch stuff from the greatest actors in this industry. Gustavo Santaolalla yet again delivers with another masterpiece of a poignant yet beautiful score. My only gripe with the game is that it didn't give enough time to develop side characters. Overall, although poles apart from the first game thematically, The Last of Us Part 2 stands shoulder to shoulder with its predecessor as a landmark in cinematic storytelling in videogames. However, since the actual focus of the game, it's story, is so bold and divisive, I'd rate this a PlayItYourselfAndFormYourOwnOpinions/10 Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Beware, this review does contain spoilers

    Before playing:
My favorite genre is post-apocalyptic. I loved the first game and have played it several times, so of course I was super excited about the sequel.
I was one of those people who didn't want ANY kind of spoilers before playing the game. I didn't look at gameplay footage since the announcement trailer last year, I didn't look at the controversies of the leaks. Nothing, nada. I wanted a clean slate going into this game with an open mind. And I'm really happy I did that because now that I've played it I've ventured online to see what other people think and boy do people have different opinions!

    After Playing:
I think they made some bold moves with the story. Killing off the main character from the first game is a very bold move and I get why people get upset, I was upset, its a very devastating moment. In my opinion it doesn't make the game bad, it sets the tone for the game "Ellie wants to find Abby and get revenge". And I could easily get behind it, I could feel how much I wanted to revenge Joel and kill Abby and her group members. I had true hatred towards her, in the same way you have towards certain characters in TV series or other games. So when the game changed the perspective and it came down to playing as Abby I could hear my inner voice going "I don't want to play as the villain! I want to kill her! Let me kill her!" Again I get why some people would dislike this move, I disliked it to begin with, but again I don't think it makes the game bad. You get to see things from her perspective, how she hates Joel and wants to kill him to avenge her father, so much so that she probably "roided up" and got some huge forearms. Now I get that some people don't like when women look like this, but think of it from her perspective, she wanted to be strong and I mean really f*cking strong, the dedication is unreal. You hear her discuss life choices and regrets with one of the later characters Lev. I think parts of her regretted losing her innocence in the process of becoming a post-apocalyptic killing machine You see her change her view of right and wrong and save Lev and Yara and she even says "I did it for me".

I think Naughty Dog was trying to show a very "simple" point that is, people aren't simple, there are no good guys or bad guys, or good sides or bad sides. People and causes are a mix of good things and bad things it depends on the perspective. An example is the W.L.F, when you see them from Abby's perspective you first see them as this community where people are getting along with kindergardens and so on, but later when you get to the FOB you see how they are torturing people for information, the good AND the bad. You also hear Owen giving an example about the Fireflies "people thought we were terrorist, and maybe we were, we blew up soldiers and civilians". It is a very bold move, most likely a hit or a miss for most people, but for me it set my thought process in motion; "Am I really sure Abby still deserves to die? I mean Joel did kill her father. But she tortured him, she has to die! But she saved those kids, maybe she is reformed?" and so on and so on.

I know someone will say parts of the story is SJW forced and leftist propaganda with all the lesbians and transgender characters, but I honestly don't think its that bad. You have the main character Ellie, which happens to be lesbian, so what?... You have the main villain Abby, who happens to be flat-chested and have bigger arms than most guys, so what?... You have Lev, which was a 13 year old girl named Lilly but would rather be a boy, so he shaved his head, so what?... It's not like that's all they yap about. When Abby finds out Lev was actually a girl named Lilly she asks "do you want to talk about it" and Lev goes "No".

I guess I wasn't as shocked when they killed Joel because I remember telling my friend when one of the first trailers came out: "It's probably going to be about the fireflies killing Joel and she wants to get revenge" and my friend went "There is no way they would dare try that, noway" :)

All in all I really really liked the game, so I have given it a 9/10.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The Last of Us Part II is a game that has had me torn since beating the game last night. Naughty Dog has done a remarkable job with the amount of attention to detail to its world and characters. The Last of Us Part II's Story is the hardest part for me personally to review. The things that had happened in the story where essential to the development of the game and to its characters. Joel was my favourite character in The Last of Us and honestly even though he had died I felt like this was a good fresh concept and that his death was essential. Naughty dog loves to show of the reality and beauty of our world but also be realistic with the situations that ellie and abby are thrown into. The major thing that I had dislkied about this game was when Naughty dog forces you to play as Abby for basically an entire half of the game. The first half of the game i genuinely enjoyed and playing as Ellie was a fun time. However the second half of the game, you are forced to play as Abby for around 10 hours just to see how some events unfold. This honestly infuriated me because I was never thinking about Abby's character, all I cared about was Ellie and Joels story being told. I understand that Naughty Dog thpught that this was necessary but honestly I wouldve been ok with a 5 minute flashback about this girls backtory or even make it 10 minutes. Naughty dog tries to make the player be sympathetic towards Abby but I probably did not have any sympathy until she finds her friends all dead, the confrontation mission and the last fight against Abby and Eliie in Santa Barbara. Abby honesty was a terrible character to play as and it just felt like Naughty Dog was just trying to make you feel something for her over a 10 hour period. There was one question that I was constantly asking myself while I was playing as Abby "Why am I playing as her when I am supposed to kill her and hate her, isnt she the main villain?"Like I dont want to play as the character that killed my favourite character. There honestly was some terrible decisions in the game dont get me wrong. But overall you cannot deny the endless hard work that the Naughty Dog team had done with this game. To give Naughty Dog credit they tried something new that they thought would actually be realistic. For a survial zombie game I thought that it was such a fun game and the gameplay was well thought out. The mechanics were great and I was super stressed out because I was playing on Survivor. I was constantly on the run and it felt like I couldnt breathe because of the intensity. The situations that Ellie is thrown into are super intense but that is what makes The Last of Us special. Overall The Last of Us Part II has many great qualities and many negatives. I would give the Gameplay of the last of us Part II a 8 and the story a 5. All of the Joel and ellie parts of the story were well done but as you played as Abby you dont really sympathize and care about her at all. The Gameplay was amazing and nice and smooth. It constantly felt like you where in the story and that everything was connected Expand

Well okay I'll compare it to the first several season of GOT where I never knew who would die which kept me on the edge of my seat and engaged in the story. When one main character or many would die it sucked but also that's what made it great, Same as this game. The writers wanted to repeat some of the bitterness generated by the previous game and in the search for that slogan ended up making a plot that clones the previous game and with elements idpol (quite current), and another ending that leaves a taste similar to the first, one as a consumer expects companies to cling to achievements and get over it but here they gave us a product although worthy of Naughty Dog it is 2 or 3 points to get to 10 The story is fine however to produce better the immersion Abby should be the first playable character and then Ellie, the characters lost all humanity they had in the first game their decisions are obtuse never consider what happens in the shoes of the other Ellie is a good example that mature is something that happens to her in the first game. My real number for it is a 9, so not that far off anyway. This game gave me 23 hours of detailed and consistent storytelling, and a total of about 2 hours of backtracking for supplies.
Delivery-wise, the movement animations are stellar, minus some goofy jogging at weird times. The facial animations are stellar, and so is the voice cast, minus some extras in the background (FOB specifically).
Fighting felt great. On "hard" difficulty, i felt just strained and stressed enough trying to manage ammo and supplies without having to resort to cheese in any parts. Some clicker areas got repetitive and there were a few too many repeated clicker models, but there were enough tense encounters with other infected to keep it fresh and tense.

As for story beats, well...dude, nothing happened that felt out of place for the story and universe established in the first game. If you're really that desperate just to play as Joel again, play the first game.

I'll just leave it there. 90% of the voiced distaste for this game is a joke. DON'T GET ME WRONG, just like the first game, I can absolutely understand how someone can play this game and genuinely not enjoy it. Not even referring to how "dark and gritty" it is, just gameplay wise, this isn't for everyone. But no game is. If you liked the gameplay in the first one, I'll wager you'll enjoy the gameplay in this one more.

Look forward to when this dies down so people who aren't offended by a fake person dying or buff arms on a woman can actually discuss it without being digitally firebombed. 9/10. I recommend it to almost everyone, but not to people who haven't been into Naughty Dog before.

The Emotions i had in this Game i never had in any other game.

    About the Gameplay

its pretty much like in the First one in my Opinion for me i really hate the Shooting in the Game cause it is made really realistic i guess. And its Kinda hard even on Very Easy. But this isnt a Bad Thing if something is made Realistic. So u need to play more sneaky. But it also good made with the new Mechanics like Laying and going through Small things.

    About the Level Design

Of the Citys like Seattle, i need to say its really Amazing how good this is looking and how Naughty Dog made it. Im in Love with the Citys and the Buildings. the Mission design is also really Great.

    About the Characters

The Ellie Character is Very Very good Designed how she Reacts in her Language Sad/Happy/Angry its pretty Impressiv how they did this.

The Dina Character im already in Love with expect when u see The Farm Chapter and her Reaction and how she Cares about Ellie.

The Jesse Character is also good Designed but he had to less Screentime in my Opinion to make a Judgement but overall he had some funny Jokes and was overall a nice Partner to Travel with.

    +++Spoiler+++

The Abby Character is in my Opinion besides of Ellie the best Character. She is so good Designed and i really liked the 3 1/2 Chapters we played as her. How she Cares about the Kids, i really really liked her Story.

About Tommy & Joel i writed something later with also a Message to the much Critics.

    About the Infecteds

i need to say, i think they are a lot easyer to kill than i the first Part but thats only cause u have a Knife which doesnt Destroy with Ellie so u can Instant Kill a Clicker or some other from Behind all the Time. About the New Infecteds the Shambler was Scarry and hard at the Beginning but later if u figuer out how its pretty Easy.

    About the Details.

The Level of Details Naughty Dog put in this game is beyond the Sky. Its a whole new level, which i never seen before. But well we dont expect anything other from Naughty Dog.

    About the Music.

The Music was set so Perfect on every Situation ur in i never experience something like this.

    About the Graphics.

I never seen a Better Graphic on the Playstation than in this Game for me its even Better than in RDR2.

The Music was set so Perfect on every Situation ur in i never experience something like this.

    Now Contains Huge Spoilers.

    ++++++++++SPOILERS++++++++++

In my Opinion the Death of Joel needed to be Brutal like this cause, u cant give the Player a REAL reveng feeling and Ellie aswell if u let some Character Die which the Player only see for a few Hours. So i needet to be Joel on a very Brutal way and his Life needed to End like this. About the Ending i understand why many People are Upset about it Ends. Cause so Joel´s Death was for Nothing. I fully Understand that but i also Understand the Ending a bit. Ellie is only a Human and i think when she saw how much Abby Cared about Lev. And she Also losed her Dad, and all her Friends by the Hand of Ellie. She maybe thought its already Enough for her. But im with the Guys who didnt like the Ending. Its Strange and isnt Perfekt in the Way the Story was going.

What i need to Say. Everytime Ellie was Playing with the Guitar and was Singing i was melting away i loved this little Things so Extremly hard, that i also listening to this parts on YouTube while im Writing This. About some Critics and the Tommy & Joel Character. I understand why many people think Joel & Tommy are to soft. Telling Strangers their Full Name. Say where they Living. But u need to see this in Context with the Happenings. U find a Letter at the very Beginning about the Life of them in jackson and in the 5 Years they had Rest, and get more Trust in People cause of their Living in jackson with Hundred of People and the one who coming new in the Town. Joel and Tommy also dont get Younger. As i said i think cause of the Live in Jackson its Natural to try to help Strangers. But i also think saying theire Names was a but to much. About the LGBTQ stuff. Besides 1 Transgender which dont get Punched in your Face and some Colour Flags and Cliches Like Old White Man Harrasment Young Girls Kissing there is Nothing. My Rating for the Categorys are. Story 8.5/10 - Would be 10 if the Ending matches the way the Story is going. Level and Map Desing 10/10 - I dont think i need to say Much for a Liniar Story Game it is Very Very Impressiv. Gameplay 10/10 Characters 10/10 Enemys 8/10 Was getting Boring after a Time. Music 10/10 - I Would buy a Last of Us Music Album. Details 10 / 10 Graphics 10/10 9.5/10 Overall. U need to play the Game to feel it. Stream & Videos arent the Same. For me its a MASTERPIECE. Cant wait for a New TLOU. Thank You Naughty Dog!

The gameplay and the overall mechanics are spectacular. I like that for the most part you can choose your path to finishing a level. Guns blazing, silent and stealthy or maybe a mix of both. However, there are a few parts I felt were meant to be no win scenarios where you have to bail out to the nearest exit... Or maybe I just really suck.
I felt excited to see the game through and finish it which quite honestly doesn't happen a whole lot. I own more games than I'd like to admit and I think I can count on both hands how many I really enjoyed and couldn't wait to finish and when I did I hated that it was over. This game was one of them and I will definitely be playing through it a few more times mainly to bask in it more and play around with the mechanics a bit differently. Recognizing this is why I felt the game was excellent and would highly recommend other likeminded people to give it a play.

Everything you want from the modern game. Amazing visuals, amazing story telling, gameplay that is unrivalled in intensity and fluidity, a plot line that has you guessing and gripped until the very end. I’ve been waiting 7 years for this and it has been worth the wait. Avoid spoilers if you can and play this game through with a fresh untainted outlook.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This game is a masterpiece. The gameplay is great with new features that still fit the original game. The music perfectly fits every scene adding more emotion and showing whats happening in the scene without having to even look at it. The characters are memorable and get attached to easily with every word feeling right coming from their mouth. The deaths of characters are quick but understandable. seeing as no person in this game is some superhuman being and 1 bullet is all it takes. Seeing Jesse and Joel go out the way they did makes total sense. This game is not riddled with bugs and glitches and the gameplay mechanics feel amazing. if there is anything to complain about its how Ellie left Dina and JJ. I understand why as she is stuck with the memory of Joel dying the way he did.But in my mind i just cannot see Ellie leaving them like that. With the cliffhanger it makes me really shocked and wonder as to what happened to characters like Dina, JJ, Tommy, Maria, the whole town of Jackson, and most importantly where Ellie goes next. I also have questions like who was the guy in command of the crazy people at the end of the game he reminded me of Bill but i dont know how it would be Bill knowing he wanted to work alone. I also really hope there will be a multiplayer this game would be perfect with the old factions mode the gameplay is great. Expand

The story and the choices made by who made it are for sure controversial and hard to digest but it's almost perfect for what it wants to communicate. It's a story that wants to make you think, that touches human deepest and darkest emotions. Unfortunately, given the circumstances (the leaks, which fortunately for me I've never saw) people is highly biased and they literally bombed Google an metacritic right after the game was released, so don't trust them, don't trust me, just play it and be the judge. This game doesn't deserve the hate that is getting, I'm sure most of this people giving to it 0 an 1 didn't even play it. This results are simply unreliable and clearly irrational, you may not like the plot but giving it less than a 7 or at least a 6 out of 10 its simply unfair. Graphics are astonishing, same goes for animations and facial expressions, acting its really really good. Sounds effects and music are great. The gameplay made a big step forward compared to the first game, is fluid, very realistic and enjoyable. All this elements mixed together create a full immersion in a virtual world built with high mastery. The level of detail that they've put inside the multiple buildings that you can explore, in the nature that has literally eaten our artificial world, is unbelievable. There are lots of smaller details all around this world, notes, drawings, graffiti and more. This little things make the immersion even deeper and realistic towards the context, a post apocalyptic world which feels real, more real than what we got from most movies or TV shows. Sometimes during the exploration you will find something which will arouse Ellie's attention, she takes out her journal and makes a scatch, takes notes. You can read this journal and feel her, empathise with her, she is broken and you will be broken with her. Sometimes she will find a guitar and start playing (and you can actually play whatever you want, if you can of course).

SPOILERS AHEAD Probably the most controversial part is when you start playing as the " villain". Honestly it caught me off guard and I got **** angry, I didn't want to play as her but at the same time I couldn't stop, I needed to see it through. A lot of people is accusing the writers that they wanted to force us to empathise with this character and somehow they felt offended, almost violated. I can get their point but this is a story driven, interactive movie like game, you don't get to chose, you just experience it. From my perspective the director just wanted to emphasise that everyone in this devastated world is in the same **** Even her, who killed one of the most beloved characters in the videogame history, is a person, and from a neutral point of view she deserved to get her revenge. After all that man killed her father, and as a consequence millions of other people kept dying. Having said that, I've never empathised with her, actually I kept hating her till the very end but this doesn't mean that I ended up hating the game, it means that I got really invested on it, like never before. Thus, this risky and controversial approach worked very well on me. If you loved the first game like me you will suffer while playing this one, you will mourn, you will feel rage and hate. But you will also experience moments of joy while remembering the past through very powerful flashbacks. This story works, it's very well written and it makes perfect sense. To me this is the best story driven game I've ever played, it's simply on another level.

So how people think they have the right to review the game without playing it I'll never know. I loved this game entirely. Didn't look at leaks and didn't bother hearing other people's opinions. Just got the game and played it entirely. This world is dark but ... That's the entire point. This isn't Uncharted, this is a different, very dark tone and they got it spot on. The game itself is perfect gameplay wise and graphics but It's clear it's the story that's on everyone's mind. *SPOILERS AHEAD* - I loved the story. Again 10/10 personally. I'm glad ND didn't give away the plot point at the beginning at it made me feel something. Anger. I wanted vengeance. Only to get through the game and for ND to masterfully display that other characters in the game had real and truly captivating and justifiable motives. Vengeance goes around back and forth between these two groups. By the end, I wanted Ellie to let it go as only someone (maybe Lev) would come back for more vengeance... Right when Ellie finally has that upper hand and Abby's life in her hands... She lets go. Perfect. That's story done right. Just because people hate the painful world TLoU2 creates, just even more emphasises how good this game world was created. People confuse the two with the game itself. Which is the biggest snowflake, pathetic adherence to other people's make believe opinions from agenda, I HAVE EVER HEARD OF IN A VIDEO GAME. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view.

The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
