People really need to do a gut check and realize--if Naughty dog went with a cookie cutter story it would kill any chance of this story continuing. It would be nothing but Last of Us 1.5. Look, the Joel and Ellie story is still there but it is a finality. Now, they can really move the world forward. Also, the love between Joel and Ellie is on display throughout the game. The negative is Abby, she does come across a little annoying. However, there are still great parts with her story as well. The ending was amazing and did justice for Joel. WTG Naughty dog.… Expand

    Besides part 1 I really haven’t had a gaming experience like this one. From the heart warming beginning to the ugly crying ending this game is fantastic and would recommend it to anyone, don’t let the negative reviews bring this game down.

This game is **** awesome first off and people need to relax about SJW and playing as Abby they didn’t need anymore backstory to their characters you know enough about the main characters in the story sure it sucked seeing Joel die early nearly brought me to tears and then you have to play as Abby I took enjoyment out of it I loved watching her get killed when I made a mistake but it’s not all about her it’s about who is really the evil person sure Abby killed Joel in a gruesome way but Joel also murdered almost all the fireflies and took the one chance for a cure with him he damned the the entire human race for one girl because he loved her like the daughter he lost during the outbreak it’s hard to blame him for it too so is it really that hard to blame Abby for killing Joel(avenging her father and killing the one guy who stopped them from making a vaccine (also manny was one of my favourite of the former fireflies and he’s the **** who spits on Joel) in conclusion I’ve seen bad reviews about this game and me personally there either dumb as **** for not seeing the great story telling and making it more than just a revenge story and have it be one that’s also a redemption story for Abby and Ellie who cares if the main character is gay it’s not like Its actually you!! I gave this game a 10 for the great gameplay stellar graphics damn good story I think ND did a wonderful job and I hoe there will be a part 3!!!! agin… Expand

    I was super skeptical going into the game. I was constantly waiting for that moment where I became disappointed, but that moment never came. It just kept getting better. The Last of Us 2 is one of the best games I have ever played if not the best game I have ever played. It is a beautifully crafted work of art in every possible way.

Увидели поцелуй двух девушек - пропаганда ЛГБТ. Получили возможность посмотреть комфликт с разных сторон и за разных персонажей - слив сюжета.     I read all kinds of reviews and mostly people are unhappy with the plot for Abby, and some write about LGBT propaganda, although it is not here. It feels like capricious children were writing. We saw a kiss of two girls - LGBT propaganda. We got the opportunity to see the conflict from different angles and for different characters - draining the plot. It turns out in the first part, when they played for Eli, was it also a plot drain? If your brain is so limited, then play games without a plot.    … Expand

    Incredible game, going for my second playthrough tomorrow! Can’t recommend it enough, however it is not for the faint hearted.

    Great story.
    Great combat. Great to experience the villains point of view. Some of the characters are easily forgotten, so hard to feel anything when they're mullered.

    This may not be how the "fans" would have wanted it to play out - but they did an amazing job of telling the stories... with incredible graphics and attention to detail (as a musician i personally LOVED that this is the first game i've seen where the characters actually make accurate patterns on a guitar ) - and as always fantastic voice acting.

    This game is an emotional roller coaster. You'll laugh. You'll cry - both happy and sad - you'll get pissed off, and rightly so... but if the only thing you can take away from it is "screw this game" then you weren't a fan to begin with.

    This is the perfect way to continue the story of the Last of Us. i give it 5 stars. and 8 fingers out of 10 :D    … Expand

It didn't go how I thought it would go whatsoever but that doesn't make it a bad game. If anything it made it a better game in my opinion.     I'm going to start by saying there are currently a lot of bad reviews for this game. As of beating it tonight only 15% of players shared the achievement for completing the game, so take that for what it's worth.     I'm going to start by saying there are currently a lot of bad reviews for this game. As of beating it tonight only 15% of players shared the achievement for completing the game, so take that for what it's worth.

    Visually the game is stunning. A lot of love was put into the landscapes and character models and it shows.

    The voice acting is, as expected, phenomenal. Ashley Johnson, Troy Baker, Laura Bailey and everyone else involved did an absolutely fantastic job.

    The game starts off faster than it probably should. Things happen that set the whole story in motion fairly quickly, and I feel like a little more time should have been given to explore how things had changed in the previous few years and solidifying how new characters fit in and how some relationships have grown and changed since the first game. It slows down a bit and hits a pretty good pace when you get past the opening, however. The game took about 30 hours to complete. It seemed like the perfect length to me.

    The story is not one of hope like part 1. It is dark, it is gritty, it is desperate at times. It feels almost a little too one track at times as you rampage from one landmark to another, but after you hit a certain point in the game, the story expands in ways that fill in some of what felt like plot holes and a semi one dimensional story. Don't get me wrong, the game is fun through the beginning, but it makes you question where the story telling of the first game has gone. It makes up for it in spades later on.

    Characters are flawed, non-perfect beings, just doing their best to keep surviving this hellish world. The characters interactions from the plot to enemies interacting on the battlefield feel real. They feel human. Combat is similar to part one, but feels a little smoother. Once you take a little time it feels good for the most part, but a little clunk now and then. Encounters have really varying dynamics depending on enemy types, but all types will keep you on your toes with different mechanics. It's varied enough in encounter types that it never feels too stale, and will really get the heart pumping from time to time. Enemies are a lot more unpredictable at times than you might expect, adding a little flavor to your stealthy fights. When your cover is blown it can feel like a bit of a struggle cycling through weapons and supplies, trying to assure you keep enough meager supply for the next inevitable fight. It feels like you are really surviving off of whatever bits and pieces you can find, and really adds to reminding you of the post apocalyptic world you are in.

    Last thing I want to touch on is that yes, there are LGBT themes in the game. People seem to be making mountains out of molehills on this.

    The world of Last of Us Part II is diverse. Characters are a hodge podge of survivors, just doing their best to survive. We've known Ellie was gay since the first games DLC. People have seemed shocked about it. The game neither villifies her sexuality, nor glorifies it. It just is. It's not made to be a big deal besides a little bit of bigotry happening briefly to show it's still not completely accepted in this new world. There is also a Trans character that is acknowledged as being trans, but similarly just kind of is. It does have minor implications on the story line, but isn't made to be a huge deal.

    I found it to be tastefully done. It's how I would like more LGBT characters to be treated in media. The struggles are acknowledged, the characters are neither villafied or glorified for it, and the characters are not defined by their sexuality, it's just one of many aspects of who they are.    … Expand

    I played this game and like it very much. I understand why so many people don't like some scene in the game. But it not fair if you just being Youtube Gamer (Just Watch and never played) or Anti-SJW and vote down this game(0-3). So many thing awesome in this game (like gameplay, option of accessible, environment in game, etc). It isn't deserve your anger score.

    I waited so long for the continuation of this story and what they delivered was such a great emotional rollercoaster with the best quality and effort put into it just like the first one.

    Granted if you're looking for a happy story with butterflies and rainbows then it is not for you

    My review will mainly talk about the story and my experience.

    I loved the first game and honestly thought they weren't going to do a sequel. Finding out that a sequel was being made, I was really looking forward to the release and was hoping for a game as moving as the first. As the release date got closer, I did hear about the game receiving negative reviews from people, but I wanted to play the game myself, because I loved the first and wanted to see how they continued Joel and Ellie's story.

    I played the game without watching any trailers except a small section of the dance scene. After finishing the game, I saw the trailers and read reviews both positive and negative. I honestly believe that it was wrong for Naughty Dog to edit a scene in the trailer to make players believe Joel would be by your side throughout the game.

    From reading and watching other reviews, I understand why players decided to quit the game after Joel's death. I do think it was out of character for Joel to not be able to see that it was an ambush especially since it was the driving point of the entire game. I understand why players quit when they had to play Joel's killer, Abby.

    I felt uncomfortable playing Abby because I had an immediate bias towards Joel and Ellie. As a player, I'm shown that I eventually will come back to Ellie at the theater. At this point, I felt annoyed and angry to have to play Joel's killer, but seeing Abby's back story, she had a reason to kill Joel regardless if the player agrees or not. At the point of arriving outside the theater, I was still on Ellie's side. I wanted to delay the inevitable as much as possible. Once the chase sequence started, I felt so uncomfortable running after Ellie. I immediately wasted Abby's bullets not wanting to shoot Ellie. Then I had to fight Ellie and in this moment, I was reminded of the scene in the first game in which Ellie had to sneak around to attack David. I kept hesitating and stopping to let Ellie win, but eventually I continued the game.

    Seeing Ellie have a family and home, I really thought this would be the end. Then Ellie decided she had to finish the job.

    I was ready to kill Abby for Joel, but finding Abby in a weak state it didn't feel right for me to fight her at that moment.

    The ending was moving for me. It wasn't a happy ending, but it made me question so much about the choices made to get to this point even though I had no control over the character's decisions.

    I enjoyed the game for the fact that it gave me an experience I never had before.

    I find it fascinating to see the conflicting views between players, because the story itself became so much more than a hero defeating the villain which was what I was expecting after Joel's death. It gives the player the chance to reflect on the actions they made as Joel in the end of the first game. The player can decide to change how they feel about certain characters or not. The player can expect a certain ending, but the game makes the choices and the player can only decide how to feel about it. Whether you liked the game or not, it's ultimately your choice as the player to decide how you feel about the game.    … Expand

However, the story doesn’t make pretty much sense and the character development of Abby it’s not strong enough to make a bond with the player, so it only makes you want to finish playing her “point of view” because the bond of the player is with Joel and Ellie. Also, it’s okay the message the developers wants to teach you about violence and vengeance is wrong and it’s only going to give you tragic and sadness, but it’s kind of... it’s doesn’t feels natural it’s more like an obligation than a cool message.

    Of course it’s not a 95-96 like the first part, but forme, it’s more like a 85-88 (thanks to the story telling).    … Expand

The graphics are stunning, characters are relatable and you actually get to play someone you would rather have killed than actually play for a moment.. but everyone is a bad guy in this game and it teaches us that you can literally loose everything as fast as you got it.. and that’s frustrating and sad. The ending should have ended with Ellie and Dina. But I guess naughtydog are making a DLC for that:) Or else I’m gonna be pissed. Ellie needs peace!… Expand

    There are a lot of biased reviews out there, because people don't think far enough and just rate the game on "how they wish it would be" ... the game ist not perfect, but it is a great experience and has a ending that moved me to tears. I advise everyone who ended this game, let this story sink before making a decision and try to see it from different perspectives. I enjoyed it overall and would definitely recommend it, it is not a 10/10, but still great… Expand

Im not here to say this game was perfect but i will start by saying that most of the people who are this game is bad a re just upset that Naughtydog killed Joel and while yes his death wasnt what i would want to see happen it set up a well written narrative that I enjoyed a while lot and to those who say that Ellie acted out of character think about what you would do if you lost your father the man who raised you. The gameplay was very exciting and while very similar to the first game it still had new elements to keep you on edge I didnt enjoy playimg abby as much as I did Ellie I respect the idea of humanizing the "villian" For those who think the game was bad I dont expect you to like or agree with Naughtydogs ideas but you have to agree that the story is still phenominal and the time and effort put into it makes it one to love.… Expand

Un nuevo protagonista, el cual tiene su toque; pero no llega a convencer totalmente, y el juego nos fuerza a encariñarnos con él de manera muy rápida, sin mencionar que fue la persona que mató a Joel en las primeras horas de juego y que pocos jugadores podrán empatizar con el personaje. Un gameplay similar al de la entrega pasada, muy aceptable y divertido de jugar. Una inteligencia artificial algo mala, sobretodo en los niveles de dificultad media. Finalmente, unos gráficos muy bien detallados y que impresionarán a cualquiera que pruebe este juego, simplemente hermosos, de lo mejor que se ha visto hasta ahora.

    El absurdo de la disonancia cognitiva de los gamers conservadores: sale un juego como de TLOU II, en el que puedes asesinar embarazadas, golpear hasta la muerte a mujeres (algunas de ellas lesbianas), desmembrar lomitos domésticos y en el que una mujer masculinizada es la antagonista, y lo terminan considerando el colmo de la corrección política y de la incidencia de la agenda LGBT.

    The Graphics are just astonishing and the Atmosphere throughout the whole game is so well made. I also really like the Fact that they haven`t played safe when it comes to the Story. All those twists and turns are really refreshing than just kinda knowing whats about to be happen.

    El juego es crudo y hay cosas que no queremos que pasen, sucesos inesperados, situaciones amargas y tristeza por doquier, pero así es la vida, tomamos malas decisiones, pasan cosas trágicas, hay tristeza, etc. Creo que el juego tiene sus pros y sus contra, pero sin duda es un juego que te hace sentir un sin fin de emociones, y más para los que lo hemos esperado desde hace más de 6 años.

    This game is stunning to look at, just like the first. The graphics are so incredible that it almost feels like you are watching real people during the cutscenes. The voice acting is also 10/10.
    Gameplay is very similar to the first and so the only real change obviously is the story.
    There were a couple of things I disliked about the games story which is why I give it an 8/10 instead of 10.
    A fantastically beautiful game but not quite as good as the first. I would definitely like to see a Part 3. Well done Naughty Dog.    … Expand

    The gameplay is a lot better than the first ones, this is nothing surprising considering is a game that was released 7 years ago, but it's a fact that the gameplay of this game its not a bad gameply in fact i relly ejoied it , it brings up new possibilities in the shooting and in the sneak.
    The history of this game is what made the people mad, I really think the history isn't as bad as some people say it is, like I've said i quite enjoi the game, I wouldn't complain if in the end you kill Abby, but you dont and I neigther complain in this case, this game has a message, it has a meaning that gives sense to the joels death and too the Abby 10 hour gameplay, in this game the want you to be aware about the consequence of your acts, they want you to know that anyone you are killing isn't just a "bad guy" is a person whit family and friends, when you kill someone in the game their partners will shout their name in pain. the are not just some tarjets for you to shoot theya feel like you and they have lost people like you. Abby kill Joel because Joel killed hers father, and Ellie wants Abby dead because her killed her adoptive father, and the end show us that if you can forgive Joel for sentecing the whole humanity by saving Ellie, the you could forgive some girl taking revenge for hers father. Сейчас я могу бесконечно говорить про две стороны одной медали, про многогранность человека, про эмоции, про то, как не укладывается всё это в голове, потому что этого слишком много. Но достойная ли это игра? Да. Я не обязана ее любить, чтобы это понимать.
    Но игровой опыт который я получила, я могу оценить. Могу понять почему сделали так и не иначе, проще сказать "чтобы вызвать эмоции".     The game as a "game" is superb, Naughty Dog plays in his own league in many aspects, however the story is not perfect in my opinion. I am not talking about the main line, but the small mistakes that sometimes make you feel "wtf?!". Overall 9/10, I am looking forward to Part III.

I didn't find the gameplay as challenging as I was expecting and I wish the puzzle had a bit more depth than finding codes for safes. But i bought the game to experience an emotional and intense interactive story, and I got what I wanted.

I think what people are forgetting is the amazing journey of the last of us where a reluctant Joel takes Ellie on a journey to help humanity, in this journey its highlighted that Ellie needs Joel in both the connection built but also gameplay survival.
    The sequel finds Ellie and other characters take on the 'alpha' role in gameplay and assisting side characters as a full circle moment. This game demonstrates the vicious cycle of good vs evil and in who's eyes that can be perceived.
    Remember that Joel did a questionable deed at the end of part 1.
    In a quest for vengeance that the game makes you want badly you find yourself feeling disturbed by the actions taken by the games lead character. When you play as the other perspective you really dislike the playing initially and I found myself rushing this story arch. Amazingly the game forces you to learn and grow with the character and start to understand their side of the feeling of torment and destruction brought upon their life from actions in the first game.
    However, you still want your vengeance as Ellie. Once you get to the point of vengeance you don't really want Ellie to do it as you have become disturbed with how vengeful the character has become and lost who she is. It feels as though Ellie in her final fight realises that this path has cost her everything and more due to her actions and yet Joel knew what he did was wrong in the first but could live with that decision. He would not have wanted Ellie to become who she has. It ends with her accepting that this vengeful path has no end and the game manages to make you feel at peace with liking your lead character again. Any other route would have lead to a slight distaste for Ellie herself for myself The game has you encounter many other tribes and factions in the second and can lead you to believe and think that the distruction you cause may have hurt or messed with the wrong tribe causing another endless cycle of vengence as everybody is the good guy in their story and everyone is the bad guy.

    At points playing as other characters that were affected by Joels actions in the first they end up hurting their own faction and in gameplay you hear them state they will do what it takes or "kill every last one" all for what they did. This is showing them to be the same as Joel yet initially being against his actions. Making you the user realise that no one is truly good and will do whatever it takes in order to do the 'good' they perceive.

    Thoroughly enjoyable to play that leaves you emotionally drained. Some charater movements were still rough, such as supporting AI walking into you and this pushes you out from cover or hinders your movement. The main charater should cause the AI to move out of the way when you run near buy in this the AI was an immovable wall causing some frantic scenes of fighting to cause annoying deaths. Also occasional lead cahratee bugs such as Ellie's phantom broke arm that disrupted being able to aim properly. This was fixed by having to reset that save point but still small issues that should be experience with a game of this level and time in development. These small but disruptive issues that break up the enjoyable experience drop my score from a 9/10 to 8.5/10

    Love the game, the direction and message and truly holds up the last of us deep and disturbing storylines

    Vale, este juego es de lo mejor que he probado en mucho tiempo, con un significado moral al nivel de la primera entrega.
    Empezaron con una muerte impactante, pero merecida. Abby me parece un personaje muy bueno, un personaje que tiene identidad propia y no es del todo insufrible.
    Pero lo mejor de este juego? Definitivamente el mensaje, el mensaje de que... no hay ni buenos ni malos, todos son malos, todos han hecho cosas horribles.
    Y es que, te puedes poner en la piel de quién tú quieras y verás lo que he dicho. Incluso, me atrevería a decir que Abby es más humana que Ellie, ella no ha matado a una embarazada, a decenas (cientos incluso) de hombres y mujeres para llegar hasta ella, y cuando encontró a joel solo lo mató al él, y no solo por que mató a su padre, por culpa de joel nadie encontrará la cura al cordiceps JAMÁS, le ha quitado al mundo ese privilegio. No ,privilegio no, les ha arrebatado la salvación.
    Por si fuera poco, Abby perdonó a Ellie más de una vez incluso después de todo lo hizo.
    Una historia cuanto menos encantadora, verdad? Un juego que... si lo juegas prestando atención, y jugaste al 1 BIEN te entrará por los ojos, y no saldrá de ahí.

    Un juego que , espero que sea un antes y un después en la franquicia de los videojuegos, tanto en jugabilidad, como en gráficos, ps5 con títulos así será impresionante.    … Expand

Like ellie, the character is focused on vengeance, but we can see an evolution during the game and, at the end, she prove is better person than ellie. 9/10… Expand

    It is a great art film. As a result your feelings depends on your relation to this genre. As for me it is an AWESOME story with interesting gameplay and a few flaws.

The start was heart-breaking and probably put a lot of players off but on the grand scale on things the game is very human. Not everything pans out like we want it too. The game-play is new and exciting but at times, get repetitive. The story is dark and depressing but very gripping. The graphics are incredible and nothing like I’ve seen before. The only thing missing is Ellie’s happiness in the end, does she go back to Dina? But I suppose that opens possibilities to a potential DLC.… Expand

This game manages to grip you and make you feel the anger and absolute hatred that fuels both you and the main character on a path of vengeance. A path that is filled with violence, brutality, and more than anything -- grief, as you get the occasional glimpse of a beautiful past. Slowly you find yourself shifting from hatred towards sympathy, sadness and understanding. Still left with a sense of anger underneath, unable to place it. Both you and the characters find that the path has led you astray.. you are lost in the dark. At the end of it all, you're broken, tired, and lost in your thoughts with tears falling down your cheek.

    Don't listen to the anti-hype. The game is not an easy one to accept. On its own terms the game challenges the player to take on many things they won't want to. But the story it is telling is important, profound, and a perfect succession to the original. It will be divisive, and I don't expect everyone to love it.     alright, so here is a thing, I don't think developers do deserve all of this hate coming literally from nothing, the marketing campaign was huge but what game in the past didn't have such a big exposure made by the big publisher, the game feels great and its rare nowadays to get such a polished product

    Complice di una così forte immersività è un gameplay che sfiora la perfezione, movimenti di una fluidità che lascia a bocca aperta e sopratutto un sistema di combattimento e/o stealth trattato in maniera eccellente, donando non solo numerose ore effettive di gioco ma invogliando all'esplorazione, ma anche ad unire sia l'approccio casinaro, sia quello silenzioso, mai vincolando ad uno o all'altro.
    Il mio voto va di poco sotto al dieci dato che non non mi sono imbattuto mai in nulla di fastidioso o che rovinasse il gameplay, ma preferisco arrotondare al 10 piuttosto che al nove
    I videogiochi non sono mai perfetti, ma qua TLOU P2 è quello che si avvicina di più al concetto di perfezione.

    Gioco sensazionale, miglior gioco cui abbia mai giocato, per qualità del gameplay, colonna sonora, storia e tutto quello che va dietro, unico disappunto il finale, ma opinione soggettiva, sotto tutti i punti di vista gioco intoccabile, naughty dog non sbaglia mai, sono riusciti a trattare il tema della discriminazione contro i gay in modo perfetto. Detto questo prego a tutti di votare inGioco sensazionale, miglior gioco cui abbia mai giocato, per qualità del gameplay, colonna sonora, storia e tutto quello che va dietro, unico disappunto il finale, ma opinione soggettiva, sotto tutti i punti di vista gioco intoccabile, naughty dog non sbaglia mai, sono riusciti a trattare il tema della discriminazione contro i gay in modo perfetto.     The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

    Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
