    Si tienes PS4 no te puede faltar este juego, es excelente en todos los ambitos, no le pongo el 10 porque me parece que en cuanto a historia es mucho mejor el antecesor, pero por lo demas (Gráficos, sonido, ambientacion, construccion de personajes) es una maldita obra maestra

I like everything about it: New advanced gameplay, very realistic interesting plot that shows how revenge is bad, incredible graphics even on ps4 fat, game looks so much better than TLOU1, also engine is very polished - I didn't saw any bug even though I completed that game for three times! I so want to notice that this game hasThat game is just awesome, I don't know why people hate it.     I completed the game and am playing it again. I liked the first game but I didn't fall in love with it. In fact, I prefer this game to the first and is one of the best games I have ever played. I agree with the critics giving this game a 95/100. I genuinely give this game a 10/10.

I played TLOU Remastered through on grounded multiple times and absolutely loved it, along with everyone else and this sequel 100% fits the story. If anyone is reading this the most important thing I’d advise is to buy this game and play it for yourself because the backlash this game is getting is an*SPOILER FREE* How anyone can even give this game a rating below 5 is just beyond me. If anyone is reading this the most important thing I’d advise is to buy this game and play it for yourself because the backlash this game is getting is an absolute joke. The gameplay and graphics on this game for the current gen are absolutely breathtaking and I will most likely play through at least 2 more times if not more. Just the amount of polish, work and love that has gone into this game is incredible. I agree that at first I was apprehensive about playing as a new character but they grew on me as I played and I really changed my mind and the ending is just so satisfying.

    I love that they included a diverse cast of characters and touched on some really strong topics and powerfully demonstrated different perspectives. I don’t want to go into too much detail for spoiler sake but this is 100% worth £50.

    The major con I have for the game is pacing in some parts as there’s a lot of slow moving sections and long cut scenes which is why I’ve knocked off 1 point as these parts hinder the replayability slightly (would be great if ND lets you skip these sections).    … Expand

    Despite the controversy, I absolutely loved this game. Yes, while the story didn't play out how I imagined it, I thoroughly enjoyed the ride while keeping an open mind. Not to mention this is by far the most beautiful game I've ever played, with the best character and facial animations I've ever seen.     If you can deal with a game that makes you question what YOU would do in impossible circumstances, The Last of US Part 2 is not to be missed.

    Perfect narrative, perfect art direction, perfect acting and dubbing, just amazing !!! Unfortunately we live in a prejudiced world and much of the hate in this game comes from this, but the message that the game has to teach us is beautiful and who did not want to learn because of prejudice, I only have to regret for these people.

The gloomy environment when facing infected, the enemy AI, the scenarios and the gameplay are a great evolution of the predecessor, that is also irrefutable, for all the above as a product the minimum rating that can be given is a 7, who will give it less he is a fool or a hater that simple. On a personal basis I can comment that it is one of the best games of my life, I played it hard and it was a good challenge and a great experience.… Expand

Before I begin, I would like to specify that I have played through this game twice now, once on survivor and once again on survivor+, meaning I have a total of around 46 hours with the game. I would also like to clarify that I did love the first game, but I have never considered myself a Last of Us fanboy by any means. To open, I really, really enjoyed this game, for about 80% of my TOTAL time playing it. Hence the 8/10. To get the obvious out of the way, the game is gorgeous, the soundtrack is impeccable, the acting is great, and the gameplay was a HUGE step up from the first game for me (although I know many disagree). I also think that a lot of the story on Ellies side was executed well, although the writing itself definitely falters in depth and meaning. The fact that I was able to like Jessie and Dina AT ALL with how little we know about them and how shallowly they are written really goes to show how top-tier ND's performances are. The other 20% was unfortunately spoiled by the controversial, yet understandable structural decision to play as Abby, (who is both the primary antagonist and the secondary protagonist), for almost HALF of the games runtime. I understand why ND did this, as on paper it sounds like a very good way to add meat to an otherwise empty revenge plot, but it obviously did not work out as intended. I believe this is for a few reasons, and I would like to talk about most of them briefly. First of all, we have no connection to Abby prior to her golfing session with the old man. The primary character we have all been in love with for 7 years is taken out, and we're excepted to then sympathize with his murderer. Once again, I believe that this choice seems good on paper, but due to other faults with Abby, it fell far from the mark. This story would have had to have been executed perfectly in ever single way for it to have had a chance of landing with the audience. To elaborate more, the characters on Abby's side are utter garbage. It wouldn't be so bad, but before we even begin the Abby storyline we have the knowledge that Ellie kills literally all of them. This doesn't work, we already know they're dead. We have no reason to connect, and even if we did they are so shallow in their intentions and have one or two "values" that they spit in our face the whole game. Mel is passive, and hates Abby for both her brutalism and her past with Owen. Owen is a go with the flow kinda guy, who isn't passionate enough about his cause to continue on anymore. These are literally their primary personality traits. I think this is the games primary problem. By the time I got to the bulk of Abby's story, I wanted to stop playing. I didn't care about the characters, the gameplay was starting to get repetitive, and all I wanted was to see how the conflict in the theatre played out. HOWEVER, this completely changed on the 2nd playthrough. On the second time through, I had grown close enough to Abby through her final chapters in the 1st that I didn't mind her sections at all, in fact I think they are objectively better from a level design and gameplay perspective. Anyway this reviews kinda long already, but my point is that this game is like movies that you don't understand the first time. Give it a second go, and do so with an open mind. Overall great game, I was only being so critical because it's a direct follow-up to arguably the best narrative driven experience of all time.… Expand

Quizá algún día aclare lo que pienso de esta obra... Pero solo por el intentarlo, y querer cambiar la imagen del videojuego triple aaa, merece la pena.

And this game is about ellie and her story ,should not be about abby if so why make the ellie edition and the playstation with her tattoo and Advertise Ellie so much and make us play abby half the game I would have been fine with maybe 2 hours to explain her reason why and some context of why she did it that's fine. But this should have been just about ellie and her journy.the graphics are beautiful the game play is pretty fun but the story did not cut it they should have made a happy ending not such a bad ending where you do kill abby and ellie gets to have a happy and peaceful life with dina and the baby that would have mad every one happier but they **** up that's it. Voy a empezar con los puntos negativos, la duración y sobre todo el reset a mitad del juego hacen que se sienta innecesariamente largo, la inclusión y la sexualidad como punto medio central puede llegar a ser molesto, aun así no me molesto tanto para el final.

    Bueno ahora así, lo que me encanto del juego, lo primero que voy a mencionar es que la historia desde mi punto de vista esta a la altura, yo personalmente hubiera cambiado cosas de orden, sobre todo del inicio, pero el final me pareció mas que correcto, porque hermano, si después de las mas de 20 horas y haber pasado por toda la mierda del juego, y lo que el mismo te quieren transmitir aun queres completar la venganza de Ellie, es que sencillamente no captaste el mensaje, fuera de eso, el darle rostros y vidas a los NPC de la manera en que lo hicieron es de aplaudir. Del gameplay solo puedo deshacerme en elogios hacia Naughty Dog no recuerdo un juego con una violencia tan cruda y a la vez satisfactoria, disfrutaba cada combate mas que el anterior.
    Mención aparte lo místico que se siente el mundo, osea es basicamente Seattle luego de la pandemia, pero es que aun así el juego tiene momentos que llegan a sorprender demasiado.
    Por ultimo, solo quiero abogar para los que están dudando comprárselo por los spoilers del inicio y el final, y sobre todo la calificación baja de gente que probablemente ni lo ha jugado, señores no se preocupen este juego esta a la altura, es sin duda para mi uno de mis juegos favoritos de este 2020.    … Expand

Echoes of themes from the first game are built on with new questions and conflicts. It asks you to confront just how self-destructive vengeance can become. I understand where some people are coming from in being unhappy with the game, but I alsoHeartbreaking in the perfect way. While it's a risky story to tell, I can only commend TLOU2 for absolutely committing to the world they've built. Echoes of themes from the first game are built on with new questions and conflicts. It asks you to confront just how self-destructive vengeance can become. I understand where some people are coming from in being unhappy with the game, but I also can't disagree with them more. The game forces us to remove the rose-color glasses that we have developed during our seven year wait since the first game. Just like Ellie, we learn that sometimes we have to see beyond what we initially believed or risk losing ourselves to stubborn hatred.

    In terms of gameplay and graphic, everything is stunning. The music is a beautiful as ever, haunting and tense in equal parts. I appreciate the broad accessibility options included in the game which are extremely helpful to allow anyone to experience the game. The combat and crafting are similar to the first game with enough variation not to feel like a rehash. That's not to say the game is absolutely perfect. There are a couple of pacing issues that would have been fixed by reshuffling some of the encounters. Actions like moving off ledges and jumping are a little heavy and stiff sometimes. But even with small gripes and concerns, they don't add up to enough to knock the game down from a 10.

    At the end I just sat there, listening to the credits and the sound of my own breathing. Where the last game was a final gut punch of an ending, this one is more like a slowly twisting knife throughout. And then, when you're done, you realized the knife is gone, even if you're not sure when that happened. For all that this is an incredibly dark and bleak game, I'd argue it ends on a more optimistic note than the first, making the entire 25-30 hour game incredibly worthwhile.    … Expand

    The Last of Us Part II is undoubtedly the most conflicting experience i ever had with any game. I want to get the Gameplay out of the way first: It's really good. But i doubt that anyone who is interested in this game really cares about it, so i'll just move on too the story. On one hand, i haven't been this engaged into any story since playing the first TLOU, on the other hand, playingThe Last of Us Part II is undoubtedly the most conflicting experience i ever had with any game. I won't get into why exactly because of Spoiler reasons, but this game is incredibly depressing. While other works of media dealing with bleak and brutal worlds still try to get a positive message out of their universe, this game just hits you with bad vibes from 2 hours in until the end. It took some time to get comfortable with, but now i feel weirdly glad i was confronted with such dark and depressing themes in a non-real-life scenario. However, i get that something like that is not for everyone, and that's alright. Still, I'd rate my personal experience a 10/10, and if you're looking for a game that'll tear your heart and soul into pieces without ever trying to repair the damage, I can wholeheartedly recommend this game. And, one last thing, the story relies heavily on you having played the first game, so keep that in mind.… Expand

Maybe the narrative is not good at all, there are parts of the story that are irrelevant but is still a good story. I didn't put this game a perfect note, for the DAY 1 in Seattle with Abby, is so long and boring. The Last of Us Part II wants the player reach to emphatize with Abby, but (in my case) I did not reach to that point. The duration of the game is good, and it's make possible to want to play the story again.

    GRAPHICS AND LEVEL DESIGN: Stunning and awesome.

    SOUNDTRACK: Just perfect.

    GAMEPLAY: Better than the first part, it brings new mechanics to the game.

    NARRATIVE: Joel's death was necessary for the develop of the videogame, in the first part we loved Joel and Ellie and it's obviously that we wanted to play between this characters. But from the reveal of the game, the theme of history would be Ellie's revenge, and Joel's death is the perfect cause (if Dina or Tommy died, it probably wouldn't be too hard on Ellie and the player). The game wanted to emphatize with Abby, knowing her past and the reasons that kept her to kill Joel (Abby had more reasons to kill Joel than Ellie that killed all her friends). But it´s impossible that someone gets Abby like his favorite character, she killed our favorite character and we only wanted to see her death caused by Ellie, but when she had the opportunity to conclude her journey, she wasted it. The message is clear "Revenge is bad", "Break stereotypes", "Be more inclusive" and it's ok, it's undestandable (I did not have problems with the lesbic scenes or the fact that the protagonists are women), but with all the destroys caused by Ellie, abandoned all to kill Abby, and when she was there in the moment, she couldn´t, Bad choice for part of ND.

    But, it's still a good, very good videogame.    … Expand

It's reality in a game and I think that's why people are so opposed to this game. It's not what you wanted but it's what you needed to see and experience.     Un absoluto 10 para mi gusto. La historia está muy bien escrita y mantiene la tensión en momentos clave, además de ser emocional cuando se lo propone. El gameplay se siente fresco en esta franquicia gracias a los nuevos añadidos y gráficamente es sorprendente.

Negatives....2 or so hours in I was kind of angry. When the twist happens half way I was also a bit annoyed. But once her story line continued the game got better and better. (Right around when she was hung.) The two side characters (from Abby) also really made the game for me. The boss fights got better and the story became amazing. Truly an emotional experience that just kept going. Even when you think its over.....it keeps going. Solid A game. Hate it or not, its a game you must experience in length to truly get an opinion.     There is fair criticism for this game but it is buried beneath antisjw/xbox freaks who want to downvote this game. this game is good, it creates a incredibly unique situation which forces you to empathize which is unlike any other game. The story doesn't hold up to the first but it is also incredibly different. 100% worth a play.

The best game ive ever played. The way they prepared Joel death was really great, i just dont liked the way he died; And about the end... That end is SO **** AMAZING, they make you think she will kill Abby, and, Ellie realizes that she alredy lost everything Joel gave to her, what made she let Abby alive, noticing that her revenge wouldnt make him come back. However, I sometimes don't understand some of Naughty Dog's decisions concerning the story. Most of the characters you learned to love in the first part are portrayed very shabby and evil. I also find the death of Joel, the protagonist from the first part right at the beginning, very sad and pitiful. I also didn't really need the Seattle days with Abby. Here I would have wished for more playing time with Ellie. Apart from that it's a fantastic game and a worthy sequel as usual with Naughty Dog.… Expand

    +Графика, Физика - лучшая картинка в играх, изумительная физика стрельбы, воды, подручных предметов, движения тела, мимики, потрясающие ээфектч, визуал в общем идеален
    +Геймплей-все, за что вы полюбили первую часть и сверху охапка нововведений, а то, что было отполированно до блеска, отдельно хочется выделить боевую систему, она действительно порывная, опять же благодаря анимациям и поведению искусственного интеллекта
    +Дизайн(персонажей, локаций и тд.) - здесь действительно работали фанаты своего дело, вылизанная от и до игра, с уникальными локациями которые разнообразные на протяжении всей игры, все на высшем уровне как мы любим
    +Звук, саунд - ну тут даже и слов не нужно произносить, это вышка друзья, единственный совет это играть в наушниках, непередаваемыц оргазм для ушей)
    +Сюжет, сценарий и постановочные моменты - оставил самую обсуждаемую тему на последок, эдакая вишенка на тортике), не буду спойлерить, это я считаю преступление по отношению в игре, создателям и игрокам которые не успели ею насладится, единственное, что хочется сказать, так то, что в игре множество поворотов, отличных сцен и логических действий, все объясняется, но всему свое время
    ±Жестокость-мясо, кровь и ультранасилие, все подаётся на блюдечке с голубой каемочкой)

    Минусы:
    - пару лгбт моментов, не сказать бы, что они портят игру, ибо в 30 часах эти 5-10 минут от силы просто растворяются, но если вы от одного намёка начинаете воспламеняться, то ставьте рядом с собой ведёрко водички
    -технически за всю игру не встретил ни одного бага, но был момент когда союзник не атаковал врага а тупо возле него кружился с мачетой, дело пустяковое, но место этому есть)
    -хотелось бы мультплеер как в первой части, он был чертовски хорош, но осознавая размер игры, можно и понять почему мультплеер не сделали, иначе игру мы бы с вами увидели в году 2022 небось)
    - И самый огромный минус, это то, что она закончилась

    Как итог - эта игра редчайшее явление, такие игры выходят далеко не каждый год, и пропускать её непозволительно.

    Если вы фанат первой части понравится ли вам вторая? Да! Безусловно!
    Стоит ли ознакомится с первой частью тем, кто хочет сыграть во вторую, но первую пропустил? Да! Безусловно!

Not only does it live up to its predecessor, but it succeededs far beyond expectations. If you're on the fence about playing this game because of mixed reviews, just play it yourself. It's a coming of age and revenge story. You play multiple characters on multiple timelines leading up to the reason Ellie is out for vengeance. You deal with the repercussions of Joel's actions, who I dont think most people realize set all this in motion and could be seen as the bad guy. If you enjoyed the first one, you'll love this. Don't listen to just one youtube review and jump on the hate bandwagon. Dont read the leaks, assume things and jump on the hate bandwagon. Open up your mind, play the game yourself, emphasize with these characters because in the end they're all humans going through terrible times.… Expand

I actually played and finished this game, currently going back through for the Platinum. The graphics, gameplay, sound, and music were all wonderful and there are certainly impressive improvements from the first game. If the leaks and reactions didn't come out before the game I'm sure reactions and reviews would be so much different now. I will be thinking about the ending for a long time though because it falls short for me in that we don't know what's next for Ellie. I think it would be a cool feature if we could have made a choice as to how the ending played out, whether Ellie would go back after Abby. Some of the gore and shock value things (showing dead Joel multiple times, killing dogs, the killing a pregnant woman trope) were a little cheap. One of my favorite aspects of the game was how much it mirrors the first game (the scene in the museum vs. the scene with the giraffes, Abby & Lev vs. Joel & Ellie, Joel trusting Abby and her group vs. Joel trusting Sam & Henry, Tommy & Jackson, Marlene & the Fireflies).

    What I'm stuck on: The story leaves me disliking both Ellie and Abby. They both have awful coping skills. Of course I don't like the way Abby killed Joel. I don't like how Ellie handled his death and willingly gave up everything because she couldn't find a way to mourn that didn't risk other people's lives. I think that things would have been better for her if she just learned to express her grief in healthy ways to Dina and Tommy instead of straight up acting on her feelings. Abby has a similar way with Owen. I think in some ways only showing happy/positive flashbacks between these characters kind of counteracted building empathy for where they are at that point in real time in the game.    … Expand

I completed it a few days ago and I can't shake it, I'm constantly thinking about it, I'm even dreaming about the game and characters. There are things that happen in this game that will make you so angry. And thats the point. Its a revenge story. Get mad at the person who wronged Ellie, don't get angry at the game or the writers. The writers aren't there to pander to what you want, or what you think would be best for the characters. You're along for the ride, and wow is it a wild ride. You have to allow yourself to feed into the game and it's story.

    Slight spoiler here. There is a huge narrative shift in the second half of the game. And when this happened I was with a large portion of people hating on this game. I HATED what the game was making me do. I was thinking to myself 'no way am I gonna f***ing play this'. But I did. I'm glad I did. I surprisingly found myself investing in this portion of the game and if I'm honest, some of my favourite moments are from this section (mainly talking about the epic boss battle in the hospital, WOW). I still didn't love this section, but I appreciated it for what it was and why this was happening; It was essential for the telling of this games story.

    This game as I said before, is one hell of a ride. I originally was 100% behind Ellie and her revenge mission. When she succeeded in the first revenge kill, I loved it, I was cheering her on, 'die b*tch' I remember shouting at my TV. As the game progresses, and you follow Ellie and other characters, things happen etc etc, I then found myself later on on the game BEGGING Ellie not to do things, seeing the consequences first hand, seeing what it was doing to Ellie and the people around her. When I finished the game my mum asked me 'so, out of 10 what would you give it?' And at that point right after finishing it, I genuinely didn't have a rating. That's not because I did or didn't like the game. It's because it is so much more than a game, its a beautifully crafted story that for the time you are playing through it, you are just fully immersed in the world. I was still mulling over events, reeling from certain plot points, wondering about the characters.

    I apologise if this review is written really badly, I don't really do this often, but I felt like I needed to honestly tell my experience with this game.    … Expand

    Если у вас не стоит на стелс и выживание - будете зевать так, что рискуете порвать ротан. Со времён первой части стал чуть более вертикальным. Появились уклонения (о боже мой, да это же Dark Souls 56. Нет.), Травка для пряток, пара собак и пара механик, типо вытащить стрелу из бочины, а то очень мешает. Прокачка стала внятнее, перков больше. Прокачка оружия особого нарекания не вызывает.
    В общем и целом игровой процесс именно с большими скоплениями противников стал более динамичным во время прямых конфронтаций. Отсиживаться на жопе в туалете (для этого есть другая игра в жанре батл-рояля) не получится, приходится бегать, прыгать, стрелять, кидаться говном, но желательнее кирпичами.
    (Знаю что хочешь возразить, но я сейчас про максимальную сложность.)
    Сюжет 7/10

    Давайте будем честны. Ставить всей игре 0/10 только потому, что вам не зашёл сюжет (Ну или он просто не оправдал ваши ожидания, которые возможно были завышены.) как-то глупо.
    Сюжет не оригинален и про заезженную тематику мести? Ну, и да и нет в то же время. Он скорее про то, что понятие свой и чужой просто в применении, но правильное ли в использовании. Люди всегда обезличивают других людей, причинивших им боль и страдание. Легче всего назначить таким людям статус "Абсолютное зло".
    Про то, куда может привести человека горячая от эмоций голова.
    Тривиален ли этот сюжет? Возможно. Настолько ужасен, что вы лучше будете ковыряться палкой в навозе, но не играть в игру? Не думаю.
    Чем больше вы проходите хороших игр и интересных историй - тем труднее вас зацепить. Первая стадия развития игровой импотенции, к сожалению.

    Flawless acting, harrowing and well written script, beautiful art direction and music, stunning technical achievement with the graphics. Tense and refined fighting system.

    Loved the first one and the DLC, this is more and better of everything. It’s not often I genuinely feel and share the motivation and drive for what’s about to happen with the main character of a game.     This story is so deeply considered and interwoven, and it pushes the medium forward. I remember seeing the cover of the box for TLOU Part 1 several years ago and thinking it looked like a cool game that had a little girl in it. Years passed, and I finally had a ps4. I started playing games I was comfortable with, mainly turn-based combat. I despised any type of shooter game, I found them mindless after knowing so many friends who just pew pew and shoot at things for hours at a time. Then I discovered the Last of Us, and was told that many people loved this game for its compelling story. I was intrigued, so I started it. This game really reinvigorated a love of video games in me that I haven't felt since I was a child playing Legend of Zelda. I learned to become confident in a third person shooter game, and I was engrossed by the story. I fell in love with the game and had so much fun! The past few years, I've eagerly awaited Part II. What I got in a game was more than I ever expected. Part II blows everything out of the water. This is as someone who felt deeply attached to Arthur Morgan from RDR2, and who has recently played Assasins Creed Odyssey and Origins as well as Final Fantasy 7 Remake. TLOU Part 2 has raised the bar and I feel bad other developers who will try their best to surpass it. The storyline made me come to terms with the fact that life is unfair and blunt, especially in a hostile world full of fungus zombies and violent survivors. The graphics are gorgeous, the gameplay robust and the details unparalleled. I found myself sympathizing with characters after genuinely hating them. I now feel empty inside that I need to find another game, another piece of media, to make me feel this deeply.… Expand

I think many of the players forgot that neil druckman said that this game is more about hate and the post apocalyptic world. If you wanted a the last of us 1- esque game here you were completely wrong in the first place. Like dont get me wrong, the game really has his problems for example joels death comes way to early and the ending is just not satisfying even tho the ending makes sense. I totally get the idea behind TLOU2 but the pacing just was a bit of. My biggest problem with this game was the parts with joel, they were way to short and i would loved to play with ellie and joel together. We only get that here in the flashbacks (which are great btw). Secondly the parts with abby were nice if you look at it frome the gameplay perspective, but they felt just too long.
    We are left here with a good the last of us post apocalyptic world experience and some very nice emotional touches and smooth gun and fight gameplay. it does not come close to the original the last of us but its still a great game. Hence why I give it a 8/10. Try to look at this game from a deeper perspective and you will get the beauty of it!    … Expand

Story had some holes and I think they pulled the whole Abby thing out of no where but Ellie handled it like I thought she would. I read people saying she let Abby go for no reason but she let him go because she finally saw he was at peace. I liked Dina unlike most people but I hate that the game put me against Tommy. It was expected. Ellie losing her fingers and family hurt the most. She said in the first one she feared being alone and we left off with her having lost everyone. I hope they make another and try to fix things. I still have hope.… Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. After playing THE LAST OF US PART II it took me a while to find the right words to review this game.
    Having not read any leaks, this story is not what I expected, but that's exactly what makes this game so powerful! Naughty Dog plays with all your emotions - and at one point you might think to yourself "I don't want to do this anymore".
    But this is not simply a story of revenge and hate, it's a story of love, rage, loss, and - above all - forgiveness.

    Yes, killing of one of the two main characters is not what we wanted to see, but it shows us, that this post-apocalyptic world is relentless and every decision has its consequences. This is not only true for Joel - his decision to save Ellie at the end of Part 1 dooms humanity, makes Ellie eventually hate him and ultimately kills him - but also for Ellie.

    How much are you willing to risk to get your revenge? For Ellie the answer to this question seems to be "everything". And only "everything" is good enough to travel through this harsh and cruel world. Yes, Joel's death was a punch in every gamers face, but it was necessary.
    For a long time he was Ellie's "everything", the only one who cared for her. Think about that scene in the first game when she says "Everyone I have cared for has either died, or left me. **** except for you!" - she had no one, and now her "father" is gone.
    The flashbacks during THE LAST OF US PART II help us to understand their relationship in the past few years. The amazing museum-sequence shows us how full of love this relationship is, yet other flashbacks let us see Ellie's scepticism about Joel's firefly-lie and her absolute disappointment when she finds out the truth.
    These flashbacks are crucial to the emotional roller coaster this game is - and they are crucial to understand how everything plays out in the end.

    Having to play as Abby for a big part of the game was frustrating, seemed unnecessary at times and even made me angry. it felt like Naught Dog wanted you to like this person - and I wasn't ok with that at first. But without knowing her story, getting to know her character and intentions, she would have been just another villain. Yet her story is quite similar to Ellie's.

    But while Abby seems to become more and more humane, Ellie's development goes the other way.
    Losing Joel fills her with so much hate that she seems to have no mercy for anyone. She kills everyone who tries to get in her way, not even hesitating to use torture. The lovely, intelligent and nimble-witted teenager turns into an almost emotionless killing machine. And when she throws away her life with Dina on the farm, the character we once loved seems to have vanished. But this final seek for revenge is her only way to find closure.

    And this final payoff is probably not enough for many gamers.
    But fighting Abby to absolute exhaustion and seeing Abby's and Lev's suffering is all Ellie needs to find closure - to be humane again. At this point she might not find forgiveness for Abby but for Joel.
    And Ellie sitting at the beach, crying, was the most gut-wrenching moment I've seen in a long time.

    Over all, the plot could've been more pleasing, since some major plot decision seem to be pointless, but I think in the end, it fits together beautifully and tells a human story that is full of emotions. it had me crying in the end - and what more do you want from a video game?
    Everyone can write a happy ending, but choosing to go the difficult road elevates this this game to a new level.

    Gameplay: as fun as the first game. Some great new additions: crawling, silencer, different training manuals...
    Graphics: stunning. Every detail looks amazing and especially the characters look extremely realistic. Also superb acting - another wonderful performances by Ashley Johnson.
    Music & sound: the music plays a big part in making this game so emotional. Best moment is probably Ellie singing "Take on me".

    Going in completely blind with no leaks or spoilers made this a great experience for me. Keep an open mind on the story. The graphics are best in class, and the gameplay is much improved over part 1. Loved the majority of my time with this game. Feels like Empire Strikes Back and hopefully we'll be getting a Part 3.

    The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then...
