    A worthy sequel to one of the greatest games ever made. All the homophobic children leaving 0’s should be ashamed of themselves. Halfway through the game and it’s every bit as enjoyable as the first.

In fact, this criticism did not play the game, it goes towards those **** crappy subsectors, human spoils that defend CD projekt Red because they are sectarians of that company and defend cyberpunk 2077 and the Witcher 3 as if they were his parents or as if his life depended on it when in fact their lives are insignificant and everyone's dick is sweating what he's doing and nobody pays attention to them and that's why they do that. How pathetic your life, and on the other hand what they do is attack the last of us 2 because they put minorities and put characters that are lesbian and (supposedly) the game has a political agenda, say some subnormal when they don't even know what that means. I'm going to ask you one thing, **** what the hell do you care if minority or LGBT characters have gotten involved when in fact this is better for the industry because that way the public is wider and on top of that you have not created the game and surely you attack them without having a clue and without having tried it in the slightest and something else, if the developers get the hang of putting those things in, they do it because it's their game **** go with the **** Poles, bone your CD projekt **** network and when you have a law or political science degree you talk to me about what political agenda means and those political terms that you don't have you have no idea that they are worth **** **** that you talk about without a **** idea because a youtuber called saselandia brainwashes you that he does not have and also toxic video game youtubers say bull**** and you eat it with potatoes because you are **** I'm sick ok?     I feel like I was forced to play as Hitler and than spend half of my time to find his human side.

    I was forced to play for someone I hate and for way too long.
    And then the ending wasn't satisfying at all.

The game allows you to really use whatever play style fits you best with so many options on how to progress to the next part. IE do you kill soldiers yourself? Do you    Just beat the game today.     This game is a masterpiece right in line with its predecessor. All of the review bombing is heartbreaking, because it deserves so much better. I could touch on all of the reasons why a bunch of bigots hate this game, and why each of those reasons make the game even more of a masterpiece, but just play it for yourself and see. You won't be disappointed.

Story is simply a masterpiece and gameplay is a dream come true for fans of stealth and action. First Tlou started it but the second one achieved a cinematic stealth/action gameplay perfection. Unbelievable animations, graphicsEven better than the first one. Bigger, more complex and closer to perfection than any other game that i played before. Can’t wait to start a second play trough.     We all have the potential to be the villain in someone else's story and this game does a great job at showing of the horrible, as well as beautiful, parts of the human condition. Now, the story wasn't the greatest. The visuals are phenomenal, the story was engaging and at times nail biting seeing how they were able to kill off Joel so easily it gave me the fear that anyone could die at anytime. I didn’t feel like there was any plot armor throughout the entire time. This truly was a part 2 as it tied into the ending of TLOU 1 and expanded upon on it in TLOU 2. I will definitely be playing TLOU 2 again since the areas you explore as either Ellie or Abby were so expansive I know I didn’t get everything in order to get the platinum trophy.Good workNaughty Dog… Expand

    Don't believe the 1/10 ratings. The game is absolutely beautifully done. The plot will provoke strong emotions (just like part 1) and I understand that that will divide people, but I loved it. People who didn't like the plot don't have the ability to strongly emphatize with others (Abby's side of the story). And even if you don't like the plot, it is just childish and ignorant to rate aDon't believe the 1/10 ratings. The game is absolutely beautifully done. I couldn't disagree with the majority of people giving this game a score of 2 or lower more, about the characters and story, I don't think it's a complete mess at all, and it doesn't forget about what was built within the first game either.

    I won't spoil anything for anyone, but the decisions made by the characters are JUSTIFIED even if I don't personally agree that it's a route they SHOULD have taken. The point is that the story is so well crafted and nuanced that as the player, you come to an understanding during the game that the routes these characters take, COULD possibly happen to someone under the same circumstances. It's a dark turn, but it's not an illogical leap.

    For the negative reviewers to call this game "a pitiful revenge story" "filled with unlikable characters" "decisions that are ridiculous and unbelievable" Is a massive overstep, and I really believe that those people missed the whole point of the story, the character's development (or devolution), and the many reasons to empathize with them, while also not forgiving them for their decisions, but also still being able to appreciate a well told story supported by superb yet conflicting moments of raw emotion.

    There has never been a game like this before, it is one of a kind, and it is a gaming gem of this generation. The sad part is that it will forever be misunderstood and underappreciated for various factors, mostly because of the die hard community of fans that had their own expectations of what this game should have been. Too bad they couldn't realize that it was never up to them, and that the direction the developers went in told a compelling story, that is still believable, and that is poignant and brutally sad and beautiful simultaneously.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. While I could do with a slightly smaller game, this is a great game. The director has tried very hard to show multiple perspectives and he has managed it.
    I read a review which rated the game 0 because " killing Joel were wrong because any father that was in his place would have done the same thing". Well, I agreed with that sentiment completely in the first game since I would have done the same. However, with Abby's play-through I understood her motivations as well. The faceless monsters about to operate on Ellie became humanized and I could sympathize with their motivations.
    Also, I understood why Abby "would kill Joel - because he killed the only family she had remaining".
    The motivations are no longer back or white, just shades of grey. Beautiful game about revenge and how it consumes you and also about learning to let go.    … Expand

    Naughty Dog, вы смогли мне дать то чего я не ощущал никогда. Это великолепно.

    Естественно у игры есть минусы, но на фоне того что я испытал. Это просто иголка в стоге сена размером с огромный город.
    Из минусов хочется выделить слишком продолжительную ВТОРУЮ часть игры (кто прошёл, тот поймёт о чем я) Но! Когда ты уже в середине ВТОРОЙ половины игры, ты начинаешь понимать зачем это было сделано. И из минуса это потихонечку переходит в огромный плюс. Без этой ветки сюжетной, я бы не получил такие эмоции.
    Я морально убит... Плохо это или хорошо судить вам, а лично я думаю если произведение искусства (а именно этим я считаю игру) смогло тебя взять за живое,то это просто... Без слов... Шедевр.

Ellie was created like that, we can see it in the first game and confirm it on the DLC. The game is set for the most part in Seattle, a city which is symbol for lgbt rights and many others. The trailers showed us that. This is not agenda, Bill from the first game was also homosexual and nobody was complaining about it. I'm really happy they decided to stick to this decision.

    Second: IT IS NOT POSSIBLE TO FINISH THIS GAME IN A DAY. And I mean it, I took my 28 hours of gameplay to finish it, spread out during Friday to Monday. Most of the bad scores came on the first day and the reason for that is obvious: There's a scene in the beginning that, in my opinion, exists only to divide who is not going to play because they can't stand the idea of progress and Ellie being gay, from the people who don't care about it or like that idea. This scene is there to make some people close the game, people who Neil Druckman and the cast probably didn't want playing it anyway. So that's why the score is now going up. People who really finished after days of playing can now come and give their real opinion about it. Don't trust reviews from Friday or Saturday, those people didn't finish the game.

    Now, I need to say that the story has some bad moments where you are going to get really angry and ask "why are you doing this game? WHY?". And for a moment I thought all the reviews were real. But wait a little, finish the game, in the end everything is going to be worth it. Ok, there are some moments that I really think they should have removed because they just make you feel frustrated, but overall, it's a brilliant game. Anyway, The story is a masterpiece, but you definitely need to finish to understand it. It made me cry 5 times.
    People are only complaining about it because they didn't finish or they didn't understand the first game. This game teach us never to listen only to one side of the story, never to judge a person, anyone, if you don't know their story. Was joel a hero or a villain in the first game? You should really think about JOEL'S actions and its consequences in the first game if you want to understand Part 2 and why the story is what it is.
    Is it as good as The Last of Us 1? Nop, nothing will be, but it's a masterpiece on its own and really deserves a 10. I'm just sad with all this score bombing situation, it's not a game which deserves it!    … Expand

    This game is so impressive i can’t even start describing it. It made me feel so many things and completely immersed me in its world. Its a strong story, not easy to digest at times, which just makes it so much better. Mechanically, this game feels great, with a lot of freedom in choosing your play style and i would even go as far as comparing it to mgs v. An absolute must play.

    The last of us 2 es el mejor juego de esta generación, es muy bueno y a mi si me gusto.
    El sonido y el doblaje, es lo mejor que tiene, la banda sonora y graficos muy buenos.

    This game is fantastic. I believe practically everyone who tried to bash this game was influenced by youtube hater reviews and Joel's death. I was one of them, I assure you (Unfortunately). But yeah, that was an emotional roller coaster as I was playing the game. I've never played something similar before. I thought Naughtydog nailed it, and I liked every bit of it!

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This game will be looked at as a historical benchmark in pushing games forward. For a comparison, in the film industry, you have the illustrious Oscars. The best movie award is an achievement of top master craft. The Games Awards is something Geoff Keighley has built up well, but it does not have quite the esteem to the general populace that the Oscars do.

    The Last of Us Part 2 is a game that has the kind of levels of quality to be that kind of level of game for the games industry, that is, an all time great.

    The game is about love, hate, revenge, forgiveness, and letting go among other things. The creator said it’s about revenge but that was being tight lipped to not spoil things before release, I suggest people listen to the Kinda Funny spoiler podcast with Neil, Ashley, and Troy for insigh.

    This game is also set during 3 days for the majority of its time,

    I may come back and write up an even more thorough review, but I want to speak to the hate toward the game.

    Some people have subjective takes on the gameplay or story elements that the game is just not their style. That’s fine. Unfortunately there is a troll/hate train on this game for varieties of reasons. One, Neil and Naughty Dog are being accused of being SJW and having a political agenda. Just because a studio is more liberal and wants to tell stories with characters we typically don’t see does not mean there is a nefarious purpose. This has generated heat.

    Additionally,, things happen in the story people just don’t like. Joel dies, You play as the person who kills Joel. Through the process of all the hatred and killing and loss Ellie ultimately does not kill Joel’s killer when given the chance.

    That’s simplifying a very engaging gaming storyline with great characters, immense action, and tons of suspense.

    Those who don’t “like” some of the direction of the story are mistaking their emotions with actual quality. The game is extremely well written with some exceptions. Example: in killing people Ellie drops a map. On said map, she has their hideout obviously circled. This is one thing I agree with naysayers on, that is a little too convenient to the story of their hq being found.

    One small example but a majority are people just hating because they don’t like the direction.

    Others try to say there is no character development which is silly. Both protagonists develop quite a bit, one character who is great devolves by the end, and many, many people die. Flashbacks do a big part of the development for more essential characters and as I stated in the beginning - the game main,y takes place over 3 days - if you are expecting development for supporting characters in a 3 day time period you are crazy. The characters had well defined personalities and those given the screen time were fantastic.

    Particularly fantastic was the brother/sister combination of Lev/Yara. Prerelease people thought Abby (I had stepped around her name until now but she kills Joel) was going to be trans because she is muscular. Lev is actually trans, born into TLOU2 word perceived as female by her group but he is a male. Dina is an awesome love interest for Ellie and both (Abby and Ellie) are surrounded by a variety of fun supporting characters in Tommy, Owen, Manny, Mel, and Jesse. There are some more characters but those are ones with more screen time.

    There are no heroes in The Last of Us. Joel was a Hunter in a past life before smuggling and meeting Abby. He committed horrible acts before we played as him. He also killed a whole hospital of Fireflies and stopped the cure. (I have no regrets there).

    Abby is no better by brutally killing Joel.

    Ellie is not any better by tracking down and killing Abby’s friends either.

    Moral ambiguity, grey area, etc. is the world of this show. There is no good versus evil.

    It reminds me of our extremely divided times here in the US. I see a comparison in the left vs the right in Ellie bs Abby. A vicious cycle back and forth where no one is really winning and so man6 peop,e are so laser focused on getting that next chunk out of their opponent that they aren’t stopping to consider how they can heal themselves and the world. Just as those offended by this game feel the need to go on hateful rants about it.

    Speaking of the hate - look at the #’s. God of War with 13,000 submissions for ratings. This game is over 80,000 or soon there! Craziness.

    I do believe the game effected people emotionally enough to drive more reactions than GoW, but 80,000 and barely even out? There is an agenda of hate here. With the growth of social media we have trolls and haters who just get their rocks off on hating. Whether they truly hate something or take pleasure in piling on, it’s a fact.

    Again, people can have subjective dislikes and not be in this hateful group.
