    This game is a masterpiece. I like the gameplay and the mechanics, the history is not perfect and i don´t like too much the final. But I don't like the final of the first game too.

    I understand the controversy, I really do, but then I was spoiled and expecting the worst. The game design is truly groundbreaking and what I mean by that is the graphics and game play. I was initially the same, "the story is ruined", "no not joel!" but you HAVE to play through it all to "get it" my only gripe is the clunky narrative, bad    Neil Druckmann is a beautiful genius...almost...

I was initially the same, "the story is ruined", "no not joel!" but you HAVE to play through it all to "get it" my only gripe is the clunky narrative, bad pacing and finally...the ending.

    There was really no need for the last fight. You actually end up saving Abby. Should have left it there. Looking back, it would have made much more sense to have Ellie actually save Abby, even on a kind of "If anyone is going to kill you it's me!" and expand the beautiful California maps and have a whole section where Ellie truly saves her (you can kill Lev, don't care about him he can have died on the beach for more "Abby" player sentiment) but to have taken her back to her boat to recover, then protect her would have been far better a compelling story, and have them even work together to survive. And maybe...just maybe have Abby find remorse (not for killing Joel) for the way she killed him. Then have them go their separate ways.

    Also no need for the damage to the hand ;) it came over as a really nasty cheap gimmick. Again Drukmann drops the ball, as she already lost everything. Or at the least make the fight (there really didn't need to be one, Abby let Ellie go on 2 separate occasions) an option you can choose, and if you choose to fight Abby you CAN kill her. But I think we might be seeing more of Abby and Lev.

    Hope there's a Part III and I hope they bring back Abby. I actually loved her character (would have liked ND to have fleshed her out a bit more) so Neils magic certainly worked on me...somewhat, great job all round, story needed to be better, more fleshed out characters because I really didn't care about any of them tbh. But even with it's jumbled narrative and cheap gimmick shock (come on Neil you can be better than that) the absence of Bruce Straley is really felt.

    I gave the game a fair 5: Only because the story was lacking and the ugly ending I thought was unnecessary. Having Ellie playing that song, with her hand intact and THEN leaving the guitar and walking away would have been for a much better ending.

    Like I said, Neil Druckmann is a beautiful genius...almost.

    The gameplay are improved, the graphics is top notch, the level design is amazing and it's well done combine with the puzzle. The story are about hate and I can feel the hate is something special here, I can feel the hate but in the same time I also can feel the sadness, the ending is mind blowing. What a game

    I went into this game preparing to hate it; but I was wrong. The graphics and gameplay - as expected - were flawless. Some parts of the game definitely could've been written better (especially the first few hours), and I think the structure/pacing of the game could've been improved. However, overall, the story was still very engaging to me, and although it wasn't as good as the story in TLOU1, I really enjoyed it. A big change in the middle of the game caused a lot of outrage in some people, but this change worked for me, as it was crucial for the story to be told.

    I'd really recommend this game, and it's a shame to see it being review-bombed by people who have only read the leaks or watched out-of-context gameplay online without experiencing the game for themselves!    … Expand

    A bravely told story that will not be everyone's cup of tea(Understatement) with the best graphics of this generation. Combat has been cranked up to eleven! Crafting has also seen some quality of life improvements but remains just as great as it was in the first game.
    Overall just a great experience to play.

    I can’t understand all the hate this game is getting. I understand that a specific event may sadden some fans of the original game, but it is no reason to give the extremely low scores.
    No game deserves a 0 out of ten.
    The game is 25-30 hours long. Still, people DESTROY it only few hours after its release. WELL DONE NAUGHTY DOG FOR THE MATURE AND PROFOUND STORY !

Ale właśnie ukończyłem grę i nigdy wcześniej nie czułem czegoś takiego jak teraz. Pomimo, że historia jest bardzo smutna, ja czuję pełną satysfakcję z ukończenia gry, każda łza którą przy niej uroniłem była tego warta. Ludzie którzy nie rozumieją motywacji Ellie chyba nie ukończyli gry, albo coś im umknęło, bo ja osobiście na jej miejscu robił bym to samo. Może nie w każdym przypadku, ale zawsze. Sama postać Abby w ciągu gry awansowała u mnie z osoby którą chciałem zabić za wszelką cenę do postaci którą pokochałem i nie chciałem, by ginęła.… Expand

TLOU2 is the story of two women that take the same path to avenge their "father" learning along the way that the cost of said path is huge, and in which they both end up losing themselves. The narrative is great. In a world like this you dont get to go out as a hero. The complexity of the characters is outstanding and they probably are the most human characters we have ever seen in a game and that is exactly why during this stroy they make mistakes and sometimes they give in to the anger, they act driven by their emotions, thats not something you see a lot these days in videogames. I think Naughty Dog took a lot of risks and definetly didnt go for the easy way (fan service) and in my opinion that payed off. The second half of the story works perfectly as a way to show the player that in this story there are two point of views and they both are doing what they think is the correct thing to do, and its completely justified. This is a story about how the lives of two girls merge when they go down this spiral of anger and violence after someone took one of the most important things in their lives. This is honestly the best game i've played in a long long time, and i think its even better than the first installment of the franchise. I understand why some people are upset about what happens in this game, but in a **** up world like this one thats how life is. People need to understand that they are not writing a story, they are being told one, and they can't control what happens. Definetly a 10/10 for me.… Expand

    A masterpiece on every level that raises the bar how video games should be made - without apologies or catering to fans. Naughty Dog told the story they wanted to tell, knowing some would hate it and that is what we need more of today. From the graphics to the voice acting to the incredible performances, this game is truly something special.

    I love this game so much. Someday people will realize that only a heterosexual relationship does not have to be behind a good script. This game showed me the bitterness of loss, and how feelings can prevail over you, both on the good side and, unfortunately, on the bad side.

    A very brutal game.Even though the game is so dark there are a lot of emotional moments in games. Compare to the previous game The Last of Us 2 Graphics are way more better. The Game play is amazing. It is a masterpiece.

    This game getting review bombed is the reason why its good that professional game journalists exist. Play it and make your own opinion before hating it. Maybe the game isn't for you and you dislike the story. That's fine. But respect that people have different opinions. I am a huge fan of the first game and I still think that The Last of Us Part II is one of the best games ever made.

    Recien terminado el juego solo me queda decir que es un Juegazoo. Lleno de emociones, corte cinematografico, un mundo espectacular y graficos excelentes. No le pongo un 10 porque a veces (muy muy pocas eso si) el control no responde bien y ademas creo que el guion tiene partes bien absurdas. Pero overall. Le pongo un 9.8. Y con un final que te deja mal

    The most intens gaming experience I have ever had. It literally had me shaking at some points. And that is what I am sure ND was aiming for. The tension was palpable and relentless. Amazing achievement in the way we tell stories. It's biggest strength is that it makes you forget that you are playing a videogame. And that, in the end, is the biggest compliment I can pay.

This game goes beyond anything I've ever played to deliver a beautiful, BRUTAL, immensely emotional experience that grips you tightly and doesn't let you go until the credits start rolling. Being a HUGE TLOU fan, I knew that ND would deliver, and they did that...and so much more. I felt uncomfortable, i felt sad, i was angry, i was heartbroken, it made me more emotional than anything ever has, and I'm still recovering. The game was genius, and Ashley's acting as Ellie is top-notch, and really grabs at your heartstrings, or makes you shiver in fear( whatever her mood at that moment)The story is truly amazing, and complex, and it makes you think...A person can be a Hero to someone- but be a Villain to someone else. I love that the game touched on that- especially with the addition of the trading cards to push that notion. I'm saddened to find out that a lot of TLOU fans aren't able to really look at the bigger meaning of the plot, or understand the immaculate storytelling this game has to offer. I thought they'd be more complex than that. But a game that pushes the envelope like this one does is bound to upset a lot of dense people. It comes with the territory.     Every one knows that is this game a gorgeous. You actually need to play that, and if you don’t even cry on a firs 3 hours you’re not a human. Of course you need to play first part before that. I 100% sure you like this game, do not watch reviews or read negative reviews from PC “gays” they can’t understood and and feel this story

Несомненно, эта игра разительно отличается сюжетно от всеми нами любимой первой части, но ведь нельзя стоять на месте и паразитировать на истории Джоэла и Элли, необходимо ее продолжать.
    По поводу геймплея: для меня он шикарен.
    Надеюсь, что моя рецензия оказала на Вас хоть какое-то влияние и стала полезной. Я восхищен творением NaughtyDog, ведь несмотря на все трудности они сделали ее именно такой, какой и планировали: жестокой и в некотором роде отвратительной.     Just finished it. Loved it. Beautiful graphics and animation, fun gameplay, Ellie is a badass and I love playing as her. There is a point about 13 hours ish in that something happens and it last to long in my opinion. The whole game could have been cut down by about 6 hours probably and been a little more focused m. Overall I love it and I hope they do some DLC or a 3ed game

    Excellent and mature game. You have to get out of the bubble to fully understand this game. Perfect graphics, sound effects and music. Great work from the mixing team. A great story that presents several layers of depths, rarely seen in the world of games.

The reason why I finally decided to play this game is because I wanted to like it.
    The story of The Last of Us Part II is... misunderstood; it really isn't just "another generic revenge story", it's a multi-dimensional story about empathy, obsession, acceptance and forgiveness.
    If I had to describe the story of The Last of Us Part II in three words, it would be shocking, bold and powerful.
    The characters feel like real people instead of fictional characters, and that's impressive.
    The gameplay is awesome; everything works perfectly, especially the stealth mechanics.
    The music is amazing and it feels like it's a part of the narrative.
    The visuals, the audio design, the animations, the environments and the atmosphere are the best I've seen in any videogame.
    Also, the details and the accessibility options are astonishing to say the least.
    Unfortunately, the pacing of the story feels slightly dragged out at times, which is my only complaint about the game.
    So, why is The Last of Us Part II so controversial then? Well, to be honest... I don't know.
    The Last of Us Part II is a very faithful sequel that makes the first game even more meaningful and complete than it already was.

    A technical masterpiece. The attention to detail is insane. Of course with any game with this much hype, there will be a counter hate campaign. From people waiting to give it 0 stars 2 minutes after release, to people sending strangers spoilers. It's fascinating what people choose to do with their time.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The gameplay is good but it does get a little stale near the end, and there isn't much evolution to Naughty Dog's DNA. They are playing it safe when it comes to their palette in "fun factor". I would have loved to have seen more interactions with monsters and an independent day and night cycle. A good multiplayer will make the replaybility go up.

    Storywise, i think they are trying new things to expand from what you would expect from their usual linear storytelling techniques you'll see in the uncharted and last of us series. But I think for a story with parallels between characters maybe they should have stuck with one plot instead of adding two. Abby's part ruined the momentum, it felt like a filler, took away from Ellie's progression, and made the end feel mute, but Lev's introduction is great so take the good with the bad.

    Still it was an interesting experience, and the game deserves to be played. Not a lot of games reach this level of production, but it's not a masterpiece.    … Expand

I have rarely fired any bullets as I've stealth killed my way, aside from a few bits that pretty much require you to fire some rounds. The story is harsh, but right now I think I'm going forward motivated by the same feelings Ellie has, which I thinks says a lot about howTook me a while because of some projects.
