    It was a huge risk to take a step back from a standard ”path of the hero” story and created something, which has a huge resemblance with Game Of Thrones. If you are open-minded enough and ready to accept something is that unfamiliar with the first part, this game, and its plot will hit you to the core.     The game is so awesome, i don't have words to describe it. Even if don't look to incredible graphic, physics, animation, it would be still super awesome. It's literally the next level. Thank you naughty dogs for your work, it was worth of time we were waiting for this masterpiece and my extra money (i had to buy 2 PlayStations haha).

The most impressive here that there are nor good no evil, every person has its story and motives.     I'm not sure why some people are rating it so low. It's another masterpiece, the team at Naughty Dog have yet again blown away my expectations. This is phenomenal sequel to the first! I wouldn't change a thing!

    Quick initial review, only 4 hours in, will do full review after completion. Basically if u like part 1, u will like part 2, gameplay wise at least!
    Looks gorgeous, sounds astounding and runs well.
    A couple of things happened earlier than i expected, i have a feeling theres more of that to come. But so far loving the gameplay, improved combat alot.

    Ich kann diese Kritikpunkte nicht nachvollziehen. 2/3 der Userwertungen hier stammen eh von Trollen ab, weswegen man die Nullerwertungen auch gerne wieder rauslöschen kann.

    Brilliant game with good story telling that makes you sit at the edge of you seat the whole way through. The gameplay is really fun with much improved crafting system, new skill trees to upgrade from (10 total), and much improved stealth mechanics, having the prone.

    Yapp yapp yapp, haters is gonna hate, I think there was a reason for every plot decision.     Ignore all the hate. This game has one of the best pieces of narrative and character driven story telling that I’ve ever experienced in a video game.

    The characters are so fleshed out and multi-dimensional. This paired with their incredible mocap performances and voices makes them feel so genuine, it really brings the game to life.     Notice how with the low score user reviews, most of them are posted on the day the game came out (impossible to finish and have an opinion on the story on the day of release) And a lot of them say stupid crap like “the multiplayer was okay” even though.. it doesn’t have multiplayer. Overall there’s a lot of entitled fans of the game who had a very specific perception of what the sequel should be - a boring, cliche revenge tale. But it’s not their story to tell.    … Expand

    Playing the first game I was hugely excited for the second. Some of the places the game takes you is surprising and unexpected. If you were to ask me I wouldn't have taken the game in that direction. However, for the story it all makes sense.     Here you dont have a choise, the story and the storytelling devolved from the first game. The game felt, at least for me, stretched at least ten hours trying to get us into some bad developed characters so we lost 40% of our time, a shame.
    Then: is a 0 game? No. Is a 10/10 game? Neither. A 3.7? That would be a BAD game, and it isnt for me. Being a 7 a nice game, it have a little more than a nice game, but if it was a good sequel to the first game probably would deserve a 9 or 10    … Expand

    Please if you are at all interested in this game and/or enjoyed the first game, please get this one... there are a lot of bitter fans and people who think it's cool to hate that try to drag this game and naughty dog through the dirt, but this game is a masterpiece with a carefully written story and beautiful moments!

    This is a great game, truly. The story-telling is raw and brutal, and fits quite well the tone of the series. Graphics are an absolute masterpiece. You should play it with headphones on, it's quite immersive. Maybe the best PS4 game of this gen, with the permission of Bloodborne and God of War.

    Excellent graphics, performance, sound, etc. It's the best game ever. The game makes you think a lot through a bitter and realistic ending. Anyway, I recommend you the best game of 'Last of Earth 2'.

    Amazing story, interesting character. You can watch story from both side. Absolutely technical masterpiece. Best graphic in current generation. As for me the strong side of this game is in the ability of modifying the character, that depends on quantity of found items.

    This is the best game of this generation, excellent graphics, the preparation of the smallest details, a very interesting and elaborate plot. This game caught up with the coolness of the first part, but did not overtake. Thanks to Naughty Dog for the wonderful game.

    I found that this game was a perfect blend of action and tension. Its a great game for the fans of stealth action. So many improvements have been made to the stealth gameplay from the first game. The new stealth doesn't make you invisible though, and still adds to the tension of the game. The last of us 2 still keeps you somewhat grounded in the game, and keeps you on your toes all the time. As for the story, it was a bit muddled in terms of pacing, but still had enough of an impact on the player to invoke a little thought.     Story:at the beginning I felt furious like Ellie and wanted to kill them all, as I moved forward I wasn't sure I wanted to keep doing that, by the middle I saw my mistake and the ending makes you understand everything and why it happened. Gameplay: The game is a rollercoaster, at moments there's action and stealth, and then to mitigate a few moments of peace. Pretty much same mechanics as the previous one.

Truly, first things first, this game is completely diferent from the first one , this is one is all about revenge from The begining until end , i would really put a 10 out of 10 but i cant , cause of The end, ok we should have some empathy with abbey, trying to show in a woldcase scenario that we always have to look from about two perspectives, but Ellie should have done it!, she didnt cause she felt free, and letted it go just seing Joe smilling, she should have done it , it would be so much satisfying, cause this all The Scores here in metacritic are so low, cause she hasnt done it , just because of it .… Expand

    Did I hate the game for the direction it went? Yes.
    Was it very dark and heavy for me? Yes.
    Did I enjoy the game? Absolutely.
    You have to be emotionally and mentally mature to appreciate this game. To recognize how Ellie’s journey on revenge brought nothing for her but loneliness. I’m happy she was able to move on when she did not take Joel’s guitar.

    The game is absolutely a masterpiece, amazing twists, gameplay, physics, Movement freedom.... etc. Everyone who gives a bad rating are one of 3 cases:
    1- get so sad from the first twist. 2- haven’t played the game at all. 3- can’t get it (console exclusive). Go and buy it.

    Graphics and animations = Incredible Story = Compelling and impactful so far. I lean on the conservative side of things in my personal life. Hollywood and social media has ruined so many different art forms for me that I am weary of any entertainment purchase I make. That being said, I    I am 30 hrs in and need to capture my thoughts. I am loving everything about this game so far.

    I lean on the conservative side of things in my personal life. Hollywood and social media has ruined so many different art forms for me that I am weary of any entertainment purchase I make. That being said, I don't see the game as trying to push a political agenda so far. I see this game as trying to get me to look and think about the story from different perspectives. The one constant is that human beings are imperfect creatures capable of terrible thoughts and actions. They are also capable of great acts of goodwill and sacrifice.

    Update: I now have finished the game and stand by the score. The game is not perfect. I think the biggest problem for me is that the order of story components feels jumbled and impacts the pacing and opinion of the characters. I think it would have been better to set it up to have the player warm up to the new characters more instead of trying to patronizingly sell it to the player after the fact. It is a lot of effort by the writers and director with little reward. That being said, the gameplay and atmosphere and settings are all amazing so that I am left with a memorable experience.

    Just one other comment that I feel the negative visceral reaction to the game is so disappointing. I think it reflects a large swath of the younger generations that feel they have no purpose and have not developed an ability to see the bigger picture in their lives. Just like the savages that are tearing down statues and rioting, a lack of purpose can lead to depression, anger and resentment. I guess it is better to have an emotional person review-bomb a game rather than set a store on fire though.    … Expand

People writing them are either bigots who hate that the game features prominent gay, female characters, or children who just want a rehash of the run-of-the-mill anti-hero plot of the first game (the angry, gruff male protagonist must take on a hero's journey against his will...yawn).

    But this game doesn't pander to its audience and rather features a complex story that asks difficult questions about love, violence and justice. It's the kind of plot that you would sooner expect to see in a pulizer winning novel rather than a video game.

    That's not to say the gaming aspects aren't top-notch though. This is easily one of the prettiest games I've ever played, and it's character models and physics-engine are next level. Combat is incredibly realistic and brutal and this is one of the few games that actually made me question my own role in the violence playing out on screen.

    If there are any downsides to the game, it's that the stealth can be a little hit or miss and that the story in the third act isn't quite as strong as the first two. in the end, the positives far, far outweigh the negatives though.

Um destaque especial pela ousadia da Naughty Dog de eliminar um personagem querido pelos fãs só para inserir uma carga emocional e fazer os fãs entrar na pele de Ellie em sua vingança.     Masterpiece! On my humble opinion, the game of the generation with God of War.
    Not so many stories make me feel like this. The game tells you a controversy story thought perfect gameplay. I thought a second part it was not necessary after finishing the first one. But now, I can't understand the last of us within part 2.

What happens early in the story is the driving force for a story that compelements the first one in a perfect way. I kept myself away from the leaks and even avoided most of the trailers, but knowing that it'll be a revenge story, I knew what was going to happen and I was prepared for it. The plot point that I'm talking about didn't make me want to flush the game. It made me seek revenge and that was the force that kept me going, until my mind was so complicated by the masterful storytelling that I didn't even know what I wanted anymore. The game kept me totally on the hook and left me breathless in the end. Visually and gameplay-wise it obviously tops the first one and I had a lot of fun playing through it. The story was emotionally hard experience, but I enjoyed every single second of it. I've played a lot of games during my life. Multiple universally acclaimed titles and I'm brutally honest when I'm saying this: The Last of Us Part 2 is definitely one of the best games I've ever played. I'm really bad with top lists, but this game (together with the first one) belong to the top three. A true masterpiece. Hands down.… Expand

    Updated review: so I wrote an impressions review of this game and gave it a 5 out of 10 after the first 3 hours. This goes to show why it's important not to make a snap judgement. The story really picks up after [spoiler] and the action also becomes a lot more fun! One of my favorite games of the year, any fan of the horror/action genres should give this a shot.

    Одна из лучших игр, в которые мне приходилось играть. Атмосфера, механики, бои, графика, звук, сюжет, все на высоте. Низкий поклон Дракманну и команде за труды и за такой результат.
    Отдалено скажу про сюжет, он сложный, очень сложный для восприятия для переживания, но он очень правильно продолжает сюжет первой части, и темы что были там затронуты.     it's great, from sound and graphics and gameplay, part of it that doesn't do a good job about joel dying but basically it still has a story worth experiencing, it deserves more than it receives.

    The story is good yet some LGBT stuff were forced in the game and that is kinda distasteful, but the combat and crafting mechanics were improved some are maintained, the game soundtrack is good also the graphics and in terms of replay value, it is worth to play it for the second time and so on...

    Overall I loved the game. A lot of people are showing hate to this game simply because they feel way too attached to characters from the first game. Especially considering that the game is set in a post apocalyptic world where people die at any moment in the most unexpected ways. It’s because of these angering yet realistic and haunting moments that make this game beautiful. People whoOverall I loved the game.     Un buen juego con giros argumentales inesperados un defecto que tiene es que la
    Forma de tratar a sus personajes no siempre es la adecuada,mecánicas sólidas y una banda sonora excelente los detalles como se esperaban perfectos no llega al nivel de el primero en la forma de contar su historia pero es de las mejores experiencias para acabar la generación

    TLOU2 has surpassed my expectations. After playing through the game on the hardest difficulty, it easy to understand what make this game so great. Every moment feels tense and emmersive. The fighting is a interesting change from the first game. While some of the actions, such as dodging, was hard to learn, it made every fight feel like it's own boss battle.
