    Art design & Graphics (10/10) There isn't much to critic, I personally really enjoyed the art work in this game it was literally flawless.     Art design & Graphics (10/10) There isn't much to critic, I personally really enjoyed the art work in this game it was literally flawless. Might even be the best one so far amongst the other games.

    Sound & Music (10/10) In my opinion the best part of the game was the musics. They put me through an undescribable emotional wave that I've never experienced before while playing a game so it would not be possible to pass without mentioning the music and I can definitely say the same for the in game sound so thank you Ashley Johnson, Troy Baker, Gustavo Santaolalla and other people whom worked on soundtracks for this amazing experience.

    Gameplay (7/10) The reason I gave 7 to the gameplay is, it felt like they didn't change it that much compared to the first game, we get to pass episodes and progress in the game by solving the puzzles (sections) like the first game. Also the shooting mechanics could've been better in my opinion but still it doesn't matter that much for me because I consider this game as an artwork like a movie so no matter how compelling the gameplay is we all get to see the same story and ending, that's why I'm always playing in the easiest mode in these type of games so I get to finish the game not too slow but explore the game through every beautiful detail.

    Story (9/10) The reason I left the story for the last is because I think there is a lot to say about it but I'll keep it as short as possible and try my best to criticize without giving spoilers because there are many people who don't play the second game due to this hatred and lynching notion towards the story.

    Personally I've enjoyed the story as much as the first game 'cause Part II definitely gives us a better understanding of The Last of Us universe and since it's a sequel to the first game it makes the events before the Part II even more meaningful so this is a great aspect to consider and actually what I think is if we were to play this exact story in the first game in addition to first game's story I think it would've changed everyone's opinions about the Part II because the events are %100 justifiable. I'm not saying that I wouldn't make it any different maybe I would've made it a little bit less tragic but the Last of Us universe itself a tragedy so scriptwriters actually did a good job by giving us a controversial story unlike the first game, otherwise it'd be just a casual story like we get to see %99 of the time in books, movies etc. everyday. Unfortunately in a cruel universe like Last of Us no one should be that lucky to get a happy ending even the protagonist. That's why I can give a solid 9 to the story.

    So, The Last of Us Part II was awesome overall, therefore I would definitely recommend.. I'll give (9/10) and I want to say that the hate towards the game and Naught Dog Co. was definitely unnecessary and not fair.

    Now this was really hard for... Joel is my favourite character of all time, through and through. Watching him die was unbearable so rightly so I should hate this game. The story is miserable, and its meant to because its a story about grief. You aren't meant to like Abby but to understand her, she lost her father so she was in the right to hate Joel, whilst Joel was in the right to save Ellie as even though he could have let her save the world, Ellie was Joel's world.     The last of us part 2 is probably one of the most inconsistent games of all time. This game's visuals are incredible and have 10/10 voice acting. The controls and combat of the game are a huge improvement from part 1 as it is much more immersive and uses different ways to find treasures, etc. The first half of the game (before we turn to Abby) is near perfect, it has some intense momentsThe last of us part 2 is probably one of the most inconsistent games of all time. Until we get to the second half where I believe the final 3 hours should've been turned into its own last of us game because the ending feels very rushed and with a game like this, it should've been much more spread out. Also another negative about the game is that the game makes you feel miserable, watching a "beloved' character get tortured and killed or shooting dogs doesn't make you feel good and this makes another problem of the game, Pacing. One of the most important parts of a game is the pacing, and the pacing for this game is **** terrible, after watching Joel die, you then go onto a peaceful adventure looting chests and finding clues slowly, If a game had this, it wouldn't be boring most of the time, but the fact that we watched Joel die a gruesome death before, makes this game have a very weird narrative for the beginning of the game. I still do think that the stealth of this game is **** amazing and makes you feel SUPER tense while playing. overall the game had the potential to be incredible, but naughty dog being naughty dog, had to make it controversial and surprise the reader lol. Overall it's very hard to rank this game because when I think of all the amazing things of the game, I wanna give it a 9, but then when I think of the huge problems, it makes me wanna give it a lower score. Overall I do enjoy this game and the score of it doesn't matter so even though it's shown as a 10 (mainly to boost the score cause this game is much better than a 5/10) it's more of a GOOD/10 because this is Mr Morale & The Big Steppers Dialled up to 11… Expand

This game advances with the story in a way that nobody wants, we all want our beloved characters to continue their development, but this changes after joel's death, even so while you advance with a sour taste you begin to understand the message he wants to give and you start to feel a new taste, the way the story is carried out fits perfectly with the world of the last of us, a world where nobody is special, there is no hero who will never die, we are all equal and we all have a story behind us, and everything can be refuted quickly. This game has been quite an experience and I personally think it's the best game around gameplay and story. The best thing is that I bought it for 9 dollars but if I had to buy it at the launch price I would do the same because it deserves to be spent after giving me more than 3 continuous days playing, it is true that it lasts less but if you give it time to get to know and explore the whole game you have for a while… Expand

    I’m not sure where the negative review-bombing is coming from, but The Last of Us series is the best series I’ve ever played!

    I just finished the second part yesterday and it is was one hell of a ride! Apart from the awesome graphics and the technical uplift from the first game, I really liked the original story with a lot of plot twists.

    Yes, I understand the story and seeing how Abby kills Joel and then making you play with our hero's murderer is something that you don't see much in video games, but little by little you understand how each person has a different story and Since sometimes we don't think that each head is a life seen from a different perspective and I loved that from tlof part 2- .

    I think it was not a game for everybody obviously because it could not please everyone but for me it is an excellent game, and on PS5 with 60 frames the game runs georgeous, I will give The Last of Us Part 2 a 10 out of 10

    I just got done with the game and just WOW. I've never been so affected by a game like this ever. It's been an hour and I'm still trying to reel my emotions in. I've felt everything from horror, terror, rage, happiness, sadness and even guilt. This game is truly a masterpiece. Thank you ND for this experience!!!

    I understand that this story is not to please everyone, as risky decisions are made. Anyway, those who say it is bad, have no idea. Wanting the protagonist to always die like a hero confirms that people expect every story to end like Disney or Marvel movies. Realistic narrative is very little valued in this community.

    10/10. Game of the year. I don't remember works in which all the plot moves would be justified. Including bold plot moves. Everything in this game is thought through to the last detail, and I sincerely don't understand the misunderstanding of all the negative reviews about the ending. Obviously, "The Last of Us Part 2" is a masterpiece and it will be in the top games of this decade.

    I feel like I waited all my life for such a game. 4 days after playing, I feel full and empty at the same time, so many emotions. Love your family and don't go on the side of hatred and revenge, you will just lose more, this is a simple idea, but the way NG shoved it to us is so strong. "It's no better to be safe than sorry" and they didn't play it safe.

    Great game so far. 3hrs in, be patient and look through everything as there are lots of small details you could easily miss.

    Everything is great. Sometimes some of the jumping seems a little clunky to me, then again there aren't many games that get it spot on and this is very minor and nitpicky. The visuals are fantastic, the game play is brilliant, combat can provide some very memorable self made moments and the story is compelling and harrowing. Shame it's getting so heavily review bombed because it has unparalleled diversity, an accurate depiction of human society in difficult times as well as truly heart breaking moments that aren't there to make you happy, but to force the questions for you to ask yourself. Much like the ending of the first game, could you and would you have done the same, would you continue or end a brutal cycle of violence? Life isn't always sunshine and lolly pops people.     best game I have ever played, the characters have a great weight, the story holds us back, it still made a giant evolution in part of the gameplay and I loved it. I highly recommend this game

For the last 3 days, I have not been able to do anything else but be on the journey with Ellie and Abby, even in my sleep breaks. With its complex storytelling and mature themes, this is not a game for the masses and will probablyI've waited for TLOU2 for years and it didn't disappoint me.     It is amazing how spectacular this game is, beautiful graphics, immersion in gambling. It was really worth every penny spent. Towards a platinum.

The gameplay and encounters has improved a lot from the first game - and if you thought that the first one was an emotional rollercoaster you’re in for a ride. I was constantly surprised throughout the game and thoroughly enjoyed the direction of the story.     A lot of people don't like this game, except me. the last of us 2 may not be as expected in terms of game ending, but I think that ending might be an open ending for the publisher to continue developing part 3 of this series. The gameplay is excellent

Once again I'm enthralled by a game I'd normally be adverse to because I am not a horror game fan but just like the original I'm LOVING this game so far.     The OMG, WTF moments continue and they're great! Just like The Walking Dead, there's some deaths that are shocking and sad, but that's the story and I personally liked it.

    Great, just great. I feel so sorry for those who are incapable of enjoying a game just because it has a message that they dont necessarily agree with. It's a game about hate, but it's not that simple. It's a game about all the cycle of hate. Anger, Revenge, Consequences, Empathy, Acceptance and Moving on. Truly a masterpiece.

    Not better than the first game structurally due to pacing issues, but my favorite game of all time nonetheless. Truly a work of art, and the highs are so good that any issues I had with the game while playing were worth completely nothing. Can't wait to see what ND has in store next.

I do also understand the hate, but everyone should play this game once, before judging it with 0. Thank you Naughty Dog, you did it again.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This is not just a sequel, but the continuation of the story from the first game. That’s why it’s called The Last of Us: Part II. I fell in love with the first game. The journey of Joel, from loving father, to broken man, to hardened survivor, to finally allowing himself to open back up again to this little girl... Ellie made Joel whole again.

    However, in Part II, we get answers to the hard questions we were left with in Part I. How would Ellie respond if she found out the truth about Salt Lake, and what were, if any, the repercussions of Joel’s actions?

    The monsters in Pittsburgh, who ambushed Joel and Ellie, the ones who would murder people in the streets just to take their shoes and whatever else they could find... Joel admits that the reason he knew it was a trap was because he had been on both sides. It’s part of what created such a division between he and Tommy years prior to meeting Ellie. What they had to do to survive was awful. Many innocent people died, because, as Joel put it, it was either them or him.

    That comes back to haunt him, in a way that is truly unimaginable to us, as gamers. And it hurts. What is done to Joel - a character I related with - was so cruel, and cold, and ruthless, and done without a second thought. It’s what puts us in Ellie’s shoes. We want revenge, and we want it now.

    However, what Naughty Dog does so well in this game is to show us that cycle of loss, revenge and violence, in a way we never got to see in the first game. The path Ellie takes to get “justice” is paralleled with Abby’s path for “justice” on the man who took her Joel... her father. Abby found him dead in a pool of his own blood, along with many of the people she called family. They were killed without remorse, without hesitation, by a man named Joel Miller.

    The Last Of Us: Part II forces us to look at its world and see it’s far less black and white than we would have liked to have believed, even though we knew it wasn’t.

    In the end, I knew I didn’t want to see Ellie go down the same path Joel did... and Joel didn’t want that for her either. In fact, it was the last thing he would’ve wanted. He fought for her, he did things that, yes, were horrible... for her, so that she could live her life... and he’d do it all over the same way. Because, to him, she was his world, and he wanted her to experience the life that Sarah never got the chance to.

    In the end... the very end... Ellie saw that. She felt the love Joel had for her, and it gave her the strength, in her most darkest moment, to let go. It’s the same strength Ellie unknowingly gave Joel 4 years prior, and it was love, and not revenge, that granted it.

    I, for one, am glad she found that strength before it was too late. She saved Joel, and Joel saved her.    … Expand

    Bad reviews are coming from people who can't accept Joel's death and they are now blind.. .they didn't even finish the game.

    Don't listen to all this haters who havent even played this masterpiece at all!

    Masterpiece!!!! People are complaint over leaks without any context, this is by far the most deep and raw type of game ever created. Is not here to please you, is here to tell you a story in a way so grounded that nothing will be how you wanted to be.

    The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
