    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. First off let me start by saying that many this game is not like the first. In an interview with Neil Druckmann he said that the first game was about hope and this game was gonna be revenge (keep this in mind) and anger, he also said that some people may not like this game because it is the opposite of the first game. The first game was about hope and making and developing relationships throughout the challenges Joel and Ellie have to overcome for example, when Ellie runs away from the powerplant and ends up at the ranch. At that moment the game felt very emotional and we knew that the relationship between Ellie and Joel had grown. In The Last of Us Part 2, the game immediately hooks you with the death of Joel, a very dramatic and emotional scene, as the game goes along with action and decisions that happen throughout the game. One of these decisions is when Ellie leaves Jesse to go after Abbe instead of going after Tommy showing that this story is about revenge and not hope like the last game. These things make you want more in The Last of Us Part 2. In some parts the story slows down but is covered with many optional activities you can do. THIS STORY IS AMAZING (also the character reacts amazingly to everything that happens.

    The gameplay has improved in many ways from the first game. In the first game, it was very simplistic gameplay-wise, there was crouching and running for combat with a few tools such as Molotov's, smoke bombs, nail bombs, and bricks. The Last of Us Part 2 combat has expanded in every way. They added a new way to maneuver such as proning and jumping. they also added many new items and craftables into combat such as the suppressor you can craft to suppressor and starting approaching combat in a new way. There are also many collectibles such as hero cards, coins and many messages that will help you throughout the game, for example, you will find many codes for the safes across the game. They also changed up the skill system where in this game you have to find manuals to unlock new unique skills. So the gameplay in this game has been improved A LOT.
    The graphics are just the best ever. It is eye candy for gamers and it pushes the ps4 to its limit while keeping a constant frame rate.

    Also **** the people who hate that Ellie is gay you f**king homophobes, deal with it and stop being such a b*tch, also you probably shouldn't be playing M rated games if you can't handle a sex scene    … Expand

I have just finished The Last of Us part 2 and have to say that it is a masterpiece in terms of graphics, gameplay etc. which is an important part of the credibility in this world. The Last of Us 2 biggest strength is not the aesthetics or the fun in killing zombies, it is about the relations with the characters. The Last of Us Part 2 is about revenge and the circle of hate, where moral, death and suffering plays a major role. Hate is something what not only the protagonist will encounter, but also the player himself. Even though it is a game what you play, it never felt like it, the emotions what you create after a certain plot twists was for me something what I have never felt before. I questioned everything in it, the violence, the motives and the results.

    The Last of Us Part 2 wants you to hate it, is highly controversial and that makes it so great. That's also why it has so many negative reviews, its not the typical hollywood movie style of telling a story, where the „hero“ and the „enemy“ is clear to see.

    This game is truly unique and I recommend it, beware you will not have fun „playing“ it.    … Expand

    Also to anyone also rating this game a 0 because Joel dies in the first 2 hours of the game should be ashamed of themselves. Joel was never the main character, Ellie was.    … Expand

What`s the deal against Ellie being gay? Stop comparing Last of Us 1 with 2. They are not the same game, We all know who Ellie and Joel are and life goes on. Me gusta mucho la historia y como todo cobra sentido mientras avanza, a lo mejor la muerte de Joel no fue tan épica y fue demasiado rápida, en eso concuerdo pero luego llegas a empatizar en un punto con Abby, aunque igual sigo sin poder creer que Joel muera, pero si su muerte no fuera real la venganza de Ellie no tendría tanto impacto y ganas de hacerla, el juego te pone en ambos lados y tienes que elegir a favor de quien estás, Ellie y Abby han sufrido mucho y este juego en tanto historia y guión fue muy bueno y logra tener momentos emocionantes.… Expand

    Waited 7 years and spent € 60,- and 30+ hours on a mediocre story with well polished gameplay and amazing graphics.
    If I could I'd give it a 5/10 I would, but MC won't let me
    I hoped they'd put as much effort as they put into the amazing mechanics and beautiful graphics as they did the story.

    First game by Naughty Dog I didn't love

    What a fantastic game.
    Absolute great experience to play after the first part. I've waiteted a long time for this game to play and I definitely wasn't disappointed yet. The look is awesome in comparison to other AAA Games, the performance is great on PS4 and Pro and this isn't a standard anymore. Definitely worth playing

    O impossível se tornou real com essa sequência. Quem ia imaginar que TLOU seria superado em absolutamente todos os aspectos? Da trama densa e impactante ao visual que é uma verdadeira pintura, temos um gameplay refinadíssimo, que evoluiu em tudo o que a ND fez nos ultimos anos. O jogo simplesmente não tem defeitos, algo raro nos dias de hoje. Que venha a parte 3!

Giochi del genere escono di rado, e vanno premiati, soprattutto per il coraggio di alcune scelte narrative.

A Ellie foi assombrada pela imagem do Joel sendo morto, aquela imagem motivou ela a fazer tudo o que fez, mesmo sabendo que a Abby teve um motivo forte. No momento final, quando ia matar ela, veio na cabeça dela uma imagem boa, como se fosse um alívio, e com isso conseguiu deixar pra trás a sede de vingança.

    Mano, que história foda e complexa. Isso é uma obra de arte, e como toda boa arte ela reflete sobre a realidade.

TLOU I consider to be the greatest game of all time and that’s because it was an ambitious and sobering experience. TLOU 2 takes risks and I vibe with it. A safe story is NOT the last of us. TLOU 2 is art, and it knocks it out of the park. Brilliant game with brilliant characters.     The Last of Us 2 improves on on the original in ever way. The game packed with emotional moments. And the gameplay is raw and brutal. It’s not the easiest game to play. The combat is brutal and tense. But so is this world. I find that every few hours I have to step back and reflect on everything that’s just happened. But is this game a masterpiece!? Yes...yes it is.

It was amazing, sad, brilliant, savage, heartbreaking, like should be an apocalypse story. I'm not even mad for Joel death, I really loved this character and his death was maybe brutal, but I will remember this character forever, how much he was important for Ellie as a father-like figure, but he wasn't a perfect human being, he made mistake too and the end of his life came, paying for his actions. He's still unforgettable. I can understand why you can get mad and sad about it, but no need to cry like a baby just for it (or anything else in the story or in the characters, come on, grow up). It's a apocalypse game, what you excepted ? A fairytale story where everything and everyone are kind and gentle and perfect? People die, people get revenge, it's normal. LTOU II is a great game about the apocalypse and everything what's involve, even if it's shocking. The characters developements was correct and credible, playing Abby was suprising and interesting to see her point of views and what she's did was totally understable (I personnaly think), her character came with some interestings choices. The end is maybe not 'a perfect ending story', but it's impacting, killing Abby won't bring back Joel, I think Ellie made a good decision, even after all she came trought, she realise something. Now she need to find peace in her mind and move on. The first game was about family love trought the end of world, now it's about something crual, revenge, anger, and it's perfectly coherent and realistic. Anyway, Neil Druckmann and his team still made an incredible game, you can disagree about some things that you don't like, it's correct, but no need to be an **** like some people here. The story, voice acting, musics, ambiance and gameplay was incredible and I will remember this game for long time. Congrats.… Expand

    A few hours in and so far it's easily one of the best games out this year. Not sure why all the criticism but really liking the game and so far it's kind of following on perfectly from the 1st game. I can see how the story is leading and I'm happy with it.

No se ustedes pero si me da algo de lástima esa gente. Ya lo termine, realmente nunca había tenido una experiencia tan impactante en un videojuego, me encanto. Nada que ver con las criticas negativas que obviamente es hate, ojala fuera un juego multi-plataforma para que todo el mundo lo probara y no hubiera tanto hate. Independientemente de la historia que a me pareció CONMOCIONANTE Y CONMOVEDORA que tal vez no sea del agrado de mucha gente pero el juego es así como la vida real de dura, por mas que no te guste un suceso de tu vida no puedes cambiarlo simplemente pasa y tienes que soportarlo, a veces las cosas no son como queremos y punto. Me alegra que este juego sea así, sin tratar de complacer a todo el mundo y que se haya plasmado así tal cual las intenciones de los creadores del juego. UNA OBRA MAESTRA TOTAL en todos sus aspectos, lo termine en 2 días es larguísimo pero muy inmersivo había veces que me olvidaba que era un juego. En fin LO RECOMIENDO TOTALMENTE y por mas comentarios en contra del juego yo se lo que jugué y lo que sentí al jugarlo y eso nadie me lo va a arrebatar. Solo digo mi opinión porque ya lo termine al 100% se me haría una falta de respeto criticar cuando no lo he terminado o visto en vídeo por youtube no es para nada lo mismo.     Argument:
    I start with the most important part of the game which is the plot and which is a controversial equivalent generator. The plot seems very interesting to me, Naughty Dog's decision to kill an iconic character like Joel within 2 hours of the game seemed quite risky and brave to me. And this death was what detonated the entire history of this game, since Ellie goes from being a nice girl in the first game to a girl mowed for revenge killing whoever crosses her path to obtain the location of Abby who is the murderer of Joel and also the protagonist in the middle of this game. Bear in mind that this argument seems intriguing to me regarding the dramatic change in Ellie's character regarding personality, as I mentioned before sympathizing with a ruthless avenger, but I consider this plot "cliché" since there are already several films with the argument that The protagonist is killed by a loved one and he seeks revenge, so I consider this as something unoriginal but interesting at the same time. On the other hand, it seems incredible to me from Naughty Dog to make us play with the character of Abby before she murdered Joel, since she presents us with a common and ordinary character without knowing that at the time and users would be hating her to death (as was my case) and also how we introduced ourselves in the middle of the game, because she finally and Alcabo killed Joel because he killed the doctors and fireflies in the hospital part at the end of the first game, and the doctor in charge of Getting the vaccine was Abby's father, so up to that point the users or well in my case in particular made me empathize more with Abby, and not only was that, but in all the part of when we played with Abby we realized that she is actually a good person who dedicates herself to helping others as she did with the 2 seraphite children Yara and Lev who for them even betrayed her group of the "wolves" in order to protect them. I personally had many mixed feelings in this game, on the one hand I hated her for killing Joel and on the other I began to like the character of Abby, for which the way Naughty Dog handled this story seems impressive to me.

    Gameplay:
    I loved the gameplay, it is very similar to the first game but obviously with many improvements. I played it hard and I really suffered in some parts of the game, most of the time especially with Ellie I only had 4 bullets at most and life in red so I had to use stealth a lot and think a lot about what it was going to be my next move. I really enjoyed playing it in difficult because I really felt what it would be like to be in a post-apocalyptic world with few resources and very dangerous enemies, so I recommend playing it in this way to start, I will play it again in the future in the maximum difficulty to see how It can be complicated. The fighting sequences seem incredible to me, I quote one for example the part of when Abby and Lev are escaping from the burning town of the seraphites riding on horseback and shooting the others I found it very funny and well accomplished. On the other hand, I liked the little details like Ellie's minigame playing the guitar, I found this very interesting and entertaining. Graphics:
    Well in terms of graphics I can only say that I loved them, all the scenarios, the physics, the expression of the characters look incredibly good, it is an absolute visual beauty, the graphic leap from the first game to this one is notorious well 7 years do not pass in vain, and that I played it on a normal ps4, I can not imagine what this game will look like when it comes out on Ps5.

    Music:
    Gustavo Santaolalla shines again in this game, the soundtrack is very good but in this game it is presented in a much more subtle way compared to the first game. On a personal level, I like the soundtrack of the first game more because I feel it more expressive and it shows more than in this one, but it does it just the same.

    ¿Is it a masterpiece?
    I personally do not consider it a masterpiece, it is a game that is very well achieved, I really enjoyed playing it, I even had fun playing this more than the first installment, but in terms of plot I consider that the first is a masterpiece since it put a point and apart in the history of video games and also because the plot twist of Joel sacrificing all of humanity to save Ellie seemed incredible to me. This second part complements the first story very well, it is more entertaining but it is not as original as the first.

    Termine el juego después de 23 horas qué me mantuvo de principio a final muy interesado en la historia, la historia tiene sus fallas, pero sin embargo la jugabilidad, la historia, gráficos y música es un paquete completo y un gran juego a mi me encanto y si no es GOTY se acerca mucho a eso.

    this game is an emotional rollercoaster.. it continues 5 years after where part 1 ended. The graphics are 10/10. The way the enemy behaves is 10/10. The tiniest details have been worked on.

    User reviews only speak of Joel's death, of the wet dreams they may have had with the character, it's always the same. But nobody asks: What is beyond this event? Why it happened? He deserved it? What happens next? What will these characters feel about that event?
    Yes, it was horrible that he died, and he had a pathetic death, but it is the cause and effect of the acts of the "crazy man". It was a death that no one expects from the best character ever written. He deserved a better death, but in the reality of this game it is not.

    This game more than entertain us, it destroys us. It leaves us with an existential void that consumes you and kills you.
    It is a crude game, and cruel and it is in every right to be. It's The Last Of Us!

    If you are looking to leave with a good taste in your mouth, go play fortnite or minecraft. They are fast, frantic games, and you don't need to think beyond their mechanics and kill without questioning the lives of others.
    The Last Of Us more than a game, it is an experience. It is Ellie's evolution and the consequence of her actions. Not everything is Joel. That does not mean that he is an excellent character.

    The world is so used to everything being rosy and that everything turns out as they want, that they are blinded by it and do not see what the human being (in this game or in real life) is capable of.

    Leaving Joel's event behind (which sets fanboys on fire), the endgame leaves much to think about.
    What Ellie did can drive anyone crazy. Would you be able to do what she did without losing your sanity?

    My mother taught me that forgiving is the most difficult honest act to perform in the world. But that is what nobody assumes: Assume when we are wrong.
    More than revenge, this game is about forgiveness.
    And so Ellie deserves more and my respects.

    If you are sensitive-minded, don't buy the game. But it is an experience that has to be lived.

    Enredo: O Enredo do The Last Of Us Part II tem como principal foco, a vingança, e tudo que a protagonista (Ellie) fará para tê-la. Sinceramente, é admirável a Naughty Dog, produtora do jogo, teve a coragem de criar um enredo tão ousado. Inicialmente, controlamos Ellie em algumas patrulhas, porém, diversos eventos após as patrulhas, ela se encontra com Abby, que está torturando o “considerado” pai de Ellie, matando-o. Esse é o primeiro plot da história, e é daí onde ela realmente se inicia. Não entrarei muito em detalhes, pois, mesmo sendo uma review com spoilers, não quero estragar a experiência de quem for tentar se aventurar nas análises.

    It was A Real Amazing and Awesome game.
    The game try’s to make you feel the characters feeling, it is really good and it worth the 60$ even more.
