    The combat is brutal and satisfying, the environments beautiful yet haunting and the score is masterfully crafted, but the greatest achievement of TLoU2 is its harrowing story of loss and revenge. This game easily lives up to its 2013 predecessor and may even be the greatest game of the PlayStation console to date. A 10/10 masterpiece.

    Gamer argentino de toda la vida, habiendo pasado el juego en dificil :

    Apartado tecnico: Gráficos excelentes, al nivel que se espera de un juego con este presupuesto. Pero lo que eleva esta categoria a la perfeccion es el diseño artistico de las locaciones a lo largo del juego, cada una con personalidad, con una historia que se cuenta sola a traves del diseño del lugar. Santaolalla la descoce con la musica (a quien le sorprende?), y los efectos sonoros son un diez , de hecho el escuchar con atención al enemigo y descrifar los sonidos que te rodean es fundamental para avanzar en ciertas partes.

    Gameplay /Jugabilidad:
    Más allá de la historia, al final del dia este es el punto que define si uno la pasa bien con el juego o no, y The Last Of Us 2 tiene varios de los momentos jugables mas emocionantes que jamás jugaste. No reinventa nada, más bien refina el sistema de control, el sigilo y los combates que vimos en la primer parte. Cada combate , ya sea contra infectados o humanos, es distinto porque la ubicacion, iluminacion , y el equipo con el que llegas a ese momento es distinto. Un consejo y a la vez una critica: jugalo en dificil, cualquier nivel inferior es un paseo y quita la tensión de saber manejarte con lo poco que uno tiene para defenderse. Otros detalles que no me gustaron del todo: el boton de salto es medio inútil, y el cambio de armas e inventario con los botones de direccion es un poco lento y falla en los momentos más agitados. Las partes de plataformas y con la cuerda parecen agregados a ultimo momento, no suman mucho. Pero nada aburre. Los bosses del juego son de lo mejor que vi en un videojuego en años, los stalkers y los shamblers se roban cada momento en el que aparecen, las peleas contra humanos requieren una combinacion perfecta entre sigilo, rapidez de acción e ingenio, y los puzzles y la investigacion de las locaciones son una buena distraccion entre tanta tensión.

    Historia/Guion:
    Hay mucho que decir y a la vez poco. Y prefiero decir poco ya que cada uno va a sentir el guion o no, tratar de explicar el porque me gusto es medio en vano. Pero me encantó. La trama (Que NO es solamente venganza) , los personajes, los giros , todo tiene un punto fuerte y a la vez una zona gris inmensa para que uno pueda debatir consigo mismo al respecto. Hay ciertos momentos donde el ritmo narrativo decae un poco, en particular con Abby (la quieras o la odies, hacia el final de su parte uno extraña a ellie y dina), y los constantes flashbacks hacen que sea muy fácil perderse detalles que luego pesan al tratar de entender todo. Pero la mayor parte del juego son momentos que te dejan con la boca abierta, y creeme que hay una diferencia abismal entre jugarlo y verlo a traves de videos cortados en youtube. El final es un resumen de ese sentimiento entre lo claro de los hechos que están pasando frente a tus ojos y lo "gris", lo ambiguo del fondo. Epico.
    Un punto final acerca de esto: no lo juzgues sino es bajo la optica de que es una narrativa dentro de un videojuego, esto no es Game of Thrones ni Stars Wars, ni tampoco el Padrino II, el videojuego como medio para contar una historia todavia tiene mucho camino por recorrer y Naughty Dog marco un hito acerca de como calzar el valor narrativo con el jugable, más allá de lo que sientas acerca del guión.    … Expand

The graphics are incredible and the story is near perfect. Yeah the combat is clunky but that's just Naughty Dog. Thats literally all of there games. What I would have done was end it at the farm. The whole Santa Barbara part seems like it makes no sense. But in a way it really does tie the whole story and message together. And for those complaining she's gay your clearly not fans cause she was gay in the first one. And complaining about a small character being trans is just stupid. If you loved the first one you'll love this one. I don't think there has ever been a peice of art or really anything that has made me cry and feel like this. It's just amazing.… Expand

    After reading some spoilers from the leak before release, I wasn't even going to buy the game. I read reviews from people who couldn't have finished the game, there were 100's of them all before 12 hrs after release.     All I can say is people are dicks, this is a game of a generation, what Naughty Dog have done with the ps4 hardware is nothing short of magnificent, it is one of the best looking games ever produced on any platform.

    I am a pc gamer with an rtx 2080ti and have seen nothing like the quality of this, how it has been done I have no idea.

    If you liked the last of us, you will love this.

    People have picked holes in the story, review bombed it, made it sound like it's a woke, transgender fan film.
    The story is deep, thrilling and engaging and none of the above. it's smart, slick and thought provoking just like the original.
    I can't tell how much you need to play this game, if you haven't already.
    I think it would be impossible to get the same reaction as the first game as it was so original and caught many, including myself unawares and blew us away.
    We all expected so much from Naughty Dog this time and they have not let us down.    … Expand

    This is a must play if you own a ps4,liked the new plot and way it takes us...it is without a doubt the best game that i have experienced for a survivour horror game and i really loved it.
    Must appreciate the risk that devolopers took for the story and made the impossible possible in a video game.cant wait for whats to come next :)

    Its a shame what many reviewers are doing here. to downvote a game because the shown things are not compatible with the own world views is just sad. I played tlou2 and its just awesome! to everyone who did not play the part2: When u liked first game, part2 is also youre game.
    everybody who gave the game zero points, has definitely no taste for good games.

I’ve never felt so **** playing any other game, and in the end I was heartbroken. Nevertheless, I highly applaud Neil Druckmann and Naughty Dog for coming up with such a daring story and giving people not what they want but rather need. To be honest, I think this game is far from perfect and some parts of the gameplay were underwhelming. However, some of the designs, characters and most importantly the complexity of the story makes me give it no less than a rating of 10.… Expand

    I loved the first game and couldn't wait to continue with Joel and Ellie as their relationship grew deeper and so obviously was really looking forward to playing part 2. When I started the game and realised that these characters would be rarely seen together of course I was upset. What some people who criticize the game don't seem to understand is that is the point and while I understand that people don't really want to be upset that doesn't mean that this game is bad. Art can still be good without making you feel good. Though that's not to say that the game never makes you feel good, there are plenty of likeable characters and happy scenes in the game and the banter between the characters while you explore is entertaining. The game makes you feel bad to very effectively present a message about the cycle of violence and how violence is pointless and in the end achieves nothing which is highlighted every well by some of the criticisms about the ending of the game which highlights this well. While I'm on the topic of the ending, I have a few issues with that but there more just thoughts rather than solid criticism as I'm not sure if I think the ending was the best it could be although it definitely wasn't bad. I feel like it was what I wanted to happen but not what the character would have done. This is because of the very clever way that the game uses character swapping to present you with the 'villains' point of view which gives you an understanding of both sides whereas the characters only understand their own side. This is another part that got heavily criticised mainly due to the leaks so people decided they didn't like it without the nesacery context. At first I felt the same, I thought I could never like that character and I was right, whilst some people did like them in the end personally I didn't but that doesn't matter cause I understood them which is all that I needed to engage in the story the way naughty dog intended. Although whilst I loved the story I can understand why some people didn't like it as it tries to make you feel both guilty for what you've done and sad about what has happened you could argue that they went a little bit to far but personally I thought is was great. I mentioned at the start how Joel and Ellie's relationship doesn't take centre stage but this was not abandoned and still is important in the story and the scenes that do keep this going are great. Whilst dissapointed at first by this change in direction in the end I was glad to get this rather than more of the same.

    The gameplay is fun and looks good. It all works smoothly. While it may not develop much the context as well as the upgrades and different environments are enough to make it feel fresh. The big spaces where the combat takes place allow for a surprising amount of freedom as to how how to tackle the scenario for such a linear game which is definitely appreciated. The combat is a mixture of tense stealth which can suddenly all go wrong and it now changes to a frantic battle for survival and I enjoyed the combat till the end. Exploration doesn't evolve but your thinking about the story or the interesting notes you can find or the dialogue between characters to keep you occupied and the environments are interesting. The graphics are obviously amazing as is to be expected from naughty dog as is the voice acting and animation both in and out of cutscences. The soundtrack is also brilliant, one of the best in video games, it definitely plays a big role in making sure the emotional beats hit in the most powerful way they can.

    SUMMARY Positives:
    A great story (that goes in a differnt direction to part 1 without abandoning what was good about the first game as a great sequel should) that is brilliantly and creatively told, that provokes both strong emotion and meaningful thoughts about violence and if it can ever achieve anything. Although it makes you feel negative emotions quite alot and doesn't go the way that is expected after the first game which could drive some players away, if approached with an open mind most people should really love this story.

    Graphics, animation, voice acting and sound track are all top quality and the gameplay is fun whilst also developing the characters, messages, story and the world in a brilliant way and I never got bored of it.

    Negatives:
    The game tries very hard to make you feel guilty, sad, uncomfortable and makes you question yourself quite alot. This tendency to make the player feel bad can understandably drive off some players and you could argue that they went a bit to far although I personally thought it was genius.

    Overall this brilliant, creative and thought provoking story woven seamlessly with the exploration and exciting combat makes an experience that while not for everyone, is definitely a must play    … Expand

    Wow so much people reviembombing the game, i just finished it and i found out it was a **** great game. I personally get bored on the first one but finished it a couple months later and finally loved it. You don't like it? just sell-it but give it a try first, you will not be disapointed imo. Personnaly got 0 bugs in a 35hours gameplay.     After LAST 2 nothing in the gaming landscape will be the same anymore. Everything is at the highest levels, the story is really well thought out, original, touching and very engaging.

    The weapons return realistic feedback, even better are the melee encounters, really satisfying!

    Punctual background music, never too intrusive, create the right emotion in every situation.

    Directing, photography, acting and dubbing, to say the least, superative, naughty dog ​​has set new standards for the future of video games.

    Only note for the puzzles, in the long run they are repetitive and predictable. This is truly the only limit for this immense game.

You don’t have to like the developing of the story to rate a 30 hours+ game full of great gameplay, incredible animations, and amazing acting. It is a masterpiece even if you don’t like the story. Just because the story isn’t what you expected and wanted, it doesn’t mean that it deserves hate or a 0, a 3 or a 4. How much of an obvious storyline would have been if it was just a new adventure showing all over again the relationship between Ellie and Joel? It is done to show you that, in a post-pandemic world where 3/4 of the population have been decimated, no one is safe, no matter how hard you try to survive. You have to be aware that everything you want to do or to share with your friends, your family or the people you love, you must do it as soon as you can, ‘cause every moment you spend with ‘em, could just be the last one.… Expand

The story at the beginning makes you feel hate towards a person, and flips it completely with making you care and love every character, which makes the end just more suspenseful.     This is a Brutal game in many aspects. It looks beautiful, it sounds beautiful and it plays beautifully. At the same time It's like watching a Clint Eastwood movie, so it's emotionally challenging and taxing. I believe that 's the reason a lot of people dislike it but that is not to say this is not objectively a good game, make no mistake, this IS a very good game.

This one drives you where you don't expect. It is a mirror game, there is no villain, you will play in both camps and sometimes you may think that Ellie has become the bad one. There is a little less emotion than in the first game, but the story is more complicated, rich and subtle. And gameplay is the same but sophisticated.     game is an emotional rollercoaster all through and it feels as though you can feel every emotion and it feels like you are in the game with them. It’s easy to connect with the characters and I highly recommend it to people who like a challenge and aren’t squeamish. Best game I’ve ever played.

    Beautiful level design, very re-playable level design with endless of ways to go through especially with the human enemies. It's so fun in the few areas where there's a mix of undead and human enemies. Sometimes I would go guns a blaze, fully stealth or a mix of both. Or sow chaos by unleashing the undead and watching how the humans fair. Traveling across Seattle is breathtaking at times the graphics even on PS4 slim are amazing.

    The story is heart wrenching, however...In my mind a bit clique and predictable...I'm a little lost myself as to why it is so surprising or disappointing to these negative reviewers. My English school teacher always defined successful art as something that draws emotion from the observer, predictable plot or not for me this game did this in spades. I do not really identify with either main character but they do a great job giving you a look inside their motives and emotions. Your perceptive on the characters shifts multiple times throughout the story, which I found really interesting reflecting on the game after I finished.

    I would really caution you to not believe these people raging on here....the comparisons to the the Last Jedi are honestly hilarious to me. I despise the plot choices in the Last Jedi, so many of them pointless but I loved this game. Were they the plot choices I would have made? Probably not. Were they predictable at times? Yup. But were they interesting and thought provoking at times? Absolutely!

    Half of these these reviews were written before the game was even released. Pros: Overall this was an extremely cinematic game, my favorite bits are really just navigating through the city and admiring the amazing views. Also the level design was top notch, I loved finding all sorts of creative ways to take down in each area. Cons: Predictable Plot. I don't really identify with either the characters at all and by the end I found Ellie a little annoying.

    Overall 9/10 for me. Don't believe these jokers, it's a fantastic game. Worth your time.    … Expand

It is not a 10/10 game, but considering all the ratings about 0 from mental amoebas that hold burning crosses in their hands and jacksoff to photos of Donald Trump, I have to give her 10/10 instead of real 8.5 or 9/10. The gameplay is amazing, and without any doubt this is the best looking game on the ps4. Very few games have compelled me to play through them again, however I played through the first game in this series several times, and once I have finished this game I can see myself doing exactly the same. It's a great game, experience, emotional rollercoaster filled with tender moment, heart stopping scares, great action and amazing presentation. It's not going to be for everyone, it can be tough at times, frustrating even, being hunted by a bunch of infected with no supplies is a scenario I have found myself dying in time and time again, but it is rewarding too. In my opinion, and I may be wrong, this is the game PS4 will be remembered for, and I would encourage anybody to at the very least try it. Maybe my opinion will change when the end game credits start to roll, but unless naughty dog have done something seriously wrong with the second half of this game, it's s perfect 10 for me.… Expand

Lo jugué con la idea de lo malo que es en "historia" según los comentarios de las personas, pero al jugarlo sentí varias emociónes primero venganza, tristeza, odio y arrepentimiento, al ver por todo lo que paso ABBY con LEB fue algo similar a lo que hizo JOEL con ELLIE salvarlo y que esa persona saque lo más humano de uno porque ya lo había perdido todo, si jugaron al primer juego sabrán de lo que habló. El final sentí empatía con los personajes y no quería que muriera ABBY ni ELLIE quería que pararán de pelear (ya ambos personajes perdieron muchos Seres queridos) y lo que hizo ELLIE fue crecer como persona y mirar hacia delante dejando de lado la venganza gracias a la última vez que habló con JOEL ese recuerdo fue el detonante para parar de una vez todo. Honestly i don't care about the kids who vote 0 to games like this because they're frustrated about the death of Joel. This game is the highest point in our generation and deserve the 10, for the kids who don't understand the meaning of this game: shut up.

    * The grapich is wonderful, the details are perfect, lights and shadow are managed very well and the glance is spectacular.
    * The plot is complicated: Abby kills Joel because he killed her father, Ellie want revenge and kills a lot of Abby friends, so Abby search for revenge (again) and the story takes this way.
    * The charact design is excellent.
    * The gameplay is good and varied.

    The Last Of Us, the best game of our generation, is also one of the most hated games of our generation. But this is life.    … Expand

I honestly don't understand all the hate about this game, and I think that all the haters of this game are just people who can't accept the death of their favourite character. I will say honestly that when i saw Joel being murdered by Abby, I truly wanted her dead. But te game was playing on my feelings, and that shows how great is Neil Druckmann as scenarist. By the end of the game, I didn't want to kill Abby at all, because she had already gone through some s***t. And I didn't want Ellie dead as well. And I think that the ending of that game is just amazing. I was feeling empty (in a positive way). I am really waiting for the III part!!!… Expand

The story they are trying to tell involves a lot of complex emotions. I understand some plot points have been hotly contended but in order to tell this kind of a story it needs to be done. I’ve often find myself both very hopeful and very Machiavellian in regards to humanity and society. This story happens to appeal to that very nature. The gameplay is very fun and tense when it needed to be. I couldn’t be happier with the way it has turned out and I see the reactions from angry gamers about the controversial plot point as a testament to how well written these characters are. The world is fleshed out really well the environment are open and linear which is perfect. The score is somber and thoughtful and I genuinely got lost in the music when it would kick in and exhilarated when it Would ramp up for a fight. The enemies are expertly crafted and will go down as some of the best enemy concepts ever, truly terrifying.

    Naughty dog has always delivered thee best games, The Jak and Daxter series was arguably one of my favourite game series and uncharted is one of the best game series ever made. The last of part II has ensured that the PS4s life cycle is going to end stronger than ever. Congratulations to Naughty Dog I cant wait for the future games from you.    … Expand

    This game is a piece of art. It takes tough decisions makes you question everyone's actions. This kind of narrative along with a strong cast is quite rare in gaming industry. This is my Game of The Year !!

And I would understand if the game screamed that LGBT is cool and let's all become gay, it's better than being straight, but NO. The game just has these characters and that's it! Have you ever played the game at all? I doubt that many of you have bought it or even have a console.

    The game itself fully meets expectations, the plot is presented very cool, the characters seem to be alive. The technical part is almost on top. The game actually deserves 9/10, but considering that now its rating is due to a bunch of inadequate monkeys with post-Soviet values in their heads, they need special support for a 10/10 slap.    … Expand

    It’s very atmospheric game with super graphics and characters. Don’t take into consideration 0 rankings, it’s worth to play and spend your time
    Perfect Face animation, movement animation, Graf is is one of the best

    Stop! The hate and play the game.
    Tlou2 is an masterpice. I have complited the game and wow. It had so much in it new elements, new world, awesome story and interesting characters. I think, if you loved the first one you are going to love this to. Play the the last of us 2 and stop the hate.

    No it's not that good. Not like the first game. But it's more than greate in it's own way. Because to compare it, is just like compare a warm-hearted story with a totally different cold one. And I think the characters are all somewhat reasonable. All the hate is just like "I don't want it that way" - "the characters are dumb" - "Elli is not as sweet as in the first game". Yeah sure - butNo it's not that good. Not like the first game. But it's more than greate in it's own way. Because to compare it, is just like compare a warm-hearted story with a totally different cold one. And I think the characters are all somewhat reasonable. All the hate is just like "I don't want it that way" - "the characters are dumb" - "Elli is not as sweet as in the first game". Yeah sure - but things can change in 4 years. Maybe there a less ambushes and Joel wasn't as sceptical (and he was somehow - like talking not that much, asking "yesterday" and stuff like that) like back than in all the q-zones. Different land - different people. And his relation and living with Tommy, settling down has maybe changed him. Elli on the other side is just on an emotional roller coaster ride and is trying to figure out what to do. She has hard moments and break downs. Abby is just a cold-hearted solider. Just like a character in the game said: "You are a bad person, Abby." And she tries to change that by helping these kids. Same as her loved person, who tries to change as well. Maybe she wants a new life. She is not following rules and is unpredictable, but hardly trained and signed by these harsh world.
    And like everybody else said: atmosphere is top notch, gameplay flows, graphics, sounds. All very very good. Like the hospital basement. Climbing down the broken building. These mediterranean's-feeling coast stuff. I liked it a lot.
    But yeah, the second part of the game has some long stretches. Could be better here and there. But overall I was pretty well entertained. And my expectations where high as well. But I wanted a different story and I got one. I am happy with that. It's a brave game. Like Sekiro. And that wasn't loved as well because expectations weren't matched. But it was still a good game in what it wanted it to be.    … Expand

    The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

    Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
