    While visually stunning, after the infamous scene happened, the game honestly just felt like such a drag to play. If it had to happen, I wish it would have at least been written and executed in a better way. In a way that wouldn't put such a damper on the spirit of anyone who played it. You can't just open the game on such a note and expect the player to still be having a good time. And for the latter half of the game, I understand that they want us to sympathize with 'the bad guy', but at that point, even if you give me the saddest, sobbest backstory, I really wouldn't care. I don't want to know it, and I don't want to hear it. I don't WANT to sympathize with this character, period. After such a disgusting way to treat a beloved character, trying to have me sympathize with the bad guy for almost half the game just felt like a slap to the face. I understand that this is a rough world that they live in and dying comes unexpectedly and brutally, but before anything, this is a VIDEO GAME. video games are meant to be enjoyable and immerse the player to keep wanting to play more, but this game did just the opposite. Critics say this ga,e is being 'review-bombed' by 'homophobic' or 'transphobic' gamers, but I cannot stress enough how much that is not even close to the case. You look at other games that feature an lgbt relationship, and they still get a high rating provided the story is good enough. End of the day, this is just a lazily-written game and an utter disappointment. This wasn't the sequel we wanted, and even after waiting 7 years for it, I wish it never happened.… Expand

    Even though the game seems to have improved in many aspects, it's story ruins it, the story is bland, it contains lots of fillers and the ending makes you feel empty, because it conveys very little to no emotion, making the protagonist's journey pointless

    Dont even bother. The SJW BS feels so forced and out of place in this game. And the game forces you to play a character you hate for like half the game, why?

    Ill give it a 2 because the game worked and looked mostly visually pleasing. But that isnt even saying much since its a console game and is stuck with 30 fps anyways.

    The graphics and voice acting was great, but the entire story feels hollow and poorly told. All of the favorite characters were killed off dryly and the ending was horrible. The game left me disappointed and I would never recommend this to anyone.

Nothing that happened in that storyline makes any sense to me. It is absolutely disgusting.     Gameplay is solid, but the story made key mistakes. Spat on a beloved character, and forced excessive amounts of unwanted gameplay as Abby, Joel's killer. Just not a satisfying ending either, as Joel gets no justice, and Abby walks free while Ellie has nothing .

    Ever since the first game I was INSTANTLY HOOKED on TLOU universe the character development, the story was so well written I couldn’t wait until the second game would come out. It would be all me and my buddies would talk about. I really wanted to savor this game I didn’t want to know    I’ve never gone out of my way to write a review before but this is game really has pushed me to do so.
    Ever since the first game I was INSTANTLY HOOKED on TLOU universe the character development, the story was so well written I couldn’t wait until the second game would come out. It would be all me and my buddies would talk about. I really wanted to savor this game I didn’t want to know anything about it, I wanted my experience to be genuine as possible... and all I can say is that I’m crushed to witness 25 hours of PURE DISAPPOINTMENT. I am at a loss for words. Don’t get me wrong I’m not homophobic anti-feminism or anti-LGBTQ or what have you, all I’m saying is that if naughty dog never stuck their heads in the murky waters of today’s society they could’ve made a game that would would have made 2020 A LOT LESS ****    … Expand

    Entonces así pienso del juego:
    Pros:
    jugabilidad, gráficos, escenarios, sonido, música
    Todas esas partes son innegablemente muy buenas. Son de primera categoría. Claro que los controles a veces se sienten raros, pero lo hacen en la mayoría de los juegos. Sería injusto decir que este juego no está actualizado en términos de todos los puntos que mencioné.
    Contras:
    Historia, diseño de personajes, desarrollo de personajes, agujeros en la trama.
    Entonces, incluso con todas las ventajas, este juego es realmente muy malo. NO tiene sentido que Ellie actúe como actúa en ciertas partes del juego, pero eso no es lo más importante sobre por qué es malo. La razón es: desarrollo del personaje. Si matas a uno de los personajes más queridos al principio del juego (Joel) y quieres traer nuevos personajes jugables principales como Abby, DEBES traer MUCHO más historia de fondo para que el jugador se sienta con ella. ¡Quiero decir que MATÓ a Joel! ¿Cómo haces que le guste al jugador? Trae más y más historia de fondo antes de que ella haga eso. Deje que los jugadores jueguen 2-10horas como Abby cuando era niña o lo que sea. La historia de fondo de ella se cuenta básicamente en 10 minutos y luego su padre está siendo asesinado. ¿Eso es? ¿Y ahora tengo que sentirme con ella y entender por qué mató a Joel? Yo diría que NO. Esa es una historia débil. Muy muy débil. Luego están todos los otros personajes nuevos. Nadie es simpático. Como realmente. Todos se sienten vacíos.

    Honestly only got a 3 for it’s great graphics and atmosphere, aswell as its brilliant use of combat physics.
    But my god was it boring, and the story, like it didn’t really mesh with the atmosphere of the world pits portrayed in aswell as overall being quite stupid and confusing.

Abby could forgive Eille for killing her frineds and she just could not help herself crashing Joel's damn life. While I was playing as Abby, I changed the difficulty to easy, just to make her story pass fast. Honestly many players care nothing about Abby's story.

Finished the game yesterday and honestly just felt really depressed and cheated by the treatment of the characters and the story. I can see how ambitious the game was and appreciated many of the action sequences and set pieces that were used. The gameplay is fine, straight out of 2013 with the addition of a jump button and a dodge. Great. Really where the game falls flat is in it's story. Story about revenge is fine, even killing Joel is fine as it provided a good motivation for Ellie's portion of the game, however the writing and execution could have been so much better. And if you are going to make the story about revenge at least give the player the option to take revenge. Abby gets hers and doesn't think twice, Ellie loses everything and actively chooses not to take revenge, which just made no sense given what Abby has done to her. I was a huge Naughty Dog fan before this game, but this game has given a lot of room for that to change.

    As a quick side note I even think the story could have been left EXACTLY as it was but instead of using Joel and Ellie just give us a whole new set of characters that we were not 100% invested in already.

All this game does is kill what you loved from the original, and then has you waste 20 hours of life playing with characters who make having a fungal infection take over the brain sound like a better way to spend your time.     I was so looking forward to this, but I have been conned out of £50! First half of the game is excellent, the rest however made me hate it and was a chore to play. You don't even play as Ellie for the majority of the game. Naughty Dog should be done for false advertising, they totally misrepresented the game I was going to be playing. The way the story is written is abominably terrible; ruined a franchise. Terrible beginning which makes you watch a terrible death of Joel, who would've never shared his details with anybody in the prequel - but an even worse ending culminating in the baddie fishing for absolution triumphing over Ellie. I've spent most of my time playing just zooming in and being awe struck by the details. They do what Naughty Dog does best, and makes it feel like more than a video game. You can tell that the amount of work (and money) poured into this game sets it apart from anything else you'll play.

    The game shines in so many places, but it lacks in so many others. The dialogue is unbelievable , sometimes bordering on laughable. Characters we grew to know and love, turned into caricatures of themselves. The "scene" that starts you on your revenge mission didnt make me feel heartbreak, sadness, or anger, it made me feel cheated. It was just an excuse to propel the story forward, a story that at its heart is generic and lacking compared to the first. The dichotomy between Joel and Ellie was the heart of the first game. Seeing their relationship grow as they struggled forward on their mission is what made it one of my favorite video games of all time.

    This game and this world are brutal and unforgiving in many ways. I found it hard to continue playing. In the first game you had a compelling story that made you want to see it to its end. Not to mention you had two interesting characters that were together for most of the game. Hearing Joel and Ellies conversations back and forth broke up the oppressive feeling of the world. In this game I didnt care about the dialogue, nor did i care about the characters. They felt token, they didnt feel like real people with real struggles to relate to. This game definitely suffers from being too long for its own good.

    The gameplay is more of the same, with some minor improvements. I Enjoyed getting back into it , but after a few hours found myself dreading the combat sections again and again. Honestly the best parts of the game were just walking and discovering the environment and environmental story telling.

    The thing i disliked most was the political messaging. I play video games to escape from the insanity of modern day politics and social media. Not only is it front and center here, but its forced down your throat. In the first game, Ellie turning out to be gay felt natural, it felt like it was organic and just a part of who she was. In this game they dont spend more than an hour reminding you of her sexual orientation or of those around her, through cutscenes, dialoge, and your notebook. It consumes her identity now, instead of just being a part of her.

    Im really conflicted about this game, probably because the first was one of my favorites, but I felt let down. I need to give it two separate ratings. As a game, given the detail, the voice acting, animation, and over all polish, i would give it a very solid 8. As a sequel to the original? I give it a 5. You take away the polish and detail that Sony's open pockets give you, and this game is a generic let down masquerading as art.    … Expand

O Jogo é sem dúvidas o mais técnico de toda a geração, mas se perde na narrativa, a vingança de Ellie se torna tão obsessiva que chega a ser pior que a de Daenerys (GoT), aliás, os finais são ruins em mesmo nível (O final de TLU2 é igual ou senão pior que os finais de GoT, Dexter e Lost juntos) e nem falo pela morte de Joel, que foi literalmente fútil! Pior morte de um personagem relevante em uma série de games na história dos games, eu nem consigo pensar em outra que se equipare e nível de futilidade... Mas o pior ainda está por vir, a "Salvação da Humanidade" se torna somente uma qualquer, deixa de ser heroína para ser um personagem randômico, munido apenas de seu ódio e necessidade de vingança, uma vingança tão mesquinha que exceto pela qualidade técnica é tão chato de jogar quanto Death Stranding. Triste, muito triste. A luta entre Ellie e Abby é a única coisa que salva no final do game, mas poderia ser algo que fizesse parte da história e não a principal parte! O que sobra é uma lição de moral com relação a vingança (que é interessante, mas como o resto de toda vingança, poderia fazer apenas parte do game e não ser o principal contexto). O melancólico fim, que dói e sem dúvidas nos faz chorar, mas poderia ser muito mais marcante, a morte de Ellie seria o encaixe perfeito, pois depois de perder todo sentido de sua vida (tomada por Joel), não aconteceu, a vingança, não foi completa, enfim, creio que daqui alguns anos eu possa pensar que foi o melhor final, mas no momento, estou apenas decepcionado.… Expand

Until the leaks came out. I was worried even more, even though Druckmann and the games media kept saying those were "fakes". Well, the leaks were all true, and I found out the hard way.

Graphics are what ps4 can get the best (copy paste from your games uncharted 4/Lost legacy). Gameplay few new things that are cool but nothing new.
