    Huge disapointment. Look up reviews on youtube just to see why the story is horrible. It ruins the whole game even though their is really good things about the game. Example: gameplay, graphics, music, immersive. But sadly, in a game like the last of us, story is the most important factor. And naughty dog sadly failed us. I am truely hurt naughty dog. I came into this game wanting to loveHuge disapointment. Look up reviews on youtube just to see why the story is horrible. I was a die-hard fan of this series. Now I don't even want a part 3 cause I honestly can't see how you could fix this series without deleting a lot of what happened. (By the way, I passed this game with 29 hours and 14 mins of gameplay) P.S when I talk about the story I mean the OVERALL story. Not the dramatic moments that people complain about if you know what I mean… Expand

    Inconsistent characters, no respect for the first game. Game makes you play as Abby a forgetable and unrelatable char for 10 hours. Very disapointing , would not recomend to die hard fans or new players. Sold my copy for 5 euros at a gamesstore.

    The gameplay doesnt improve. The AI is stupid af, their route never change, even on higher difficulties which is amazing. Oh and the story doesnt pick it up or elevate it. Its boring, lazy, uninspired, and full of plotholes.

    The game graphic is great but the story itself is very disappointing.
    To be fair, if killing is bad, then their should be an option to choose kill or not to kill.
    The game message is not clear and it gets me a mental disease.
    It's like a person killed my family and the court order to the murderer to be part of my family member and force me to understand why did he/her did it.

    If there was one word to describe this game it would be dissapointing. The first game was essentially a masterpiece and it defined story games, it was amazing. And it is genuinely shocking at just how dissapointing the sequel is. It leaves the player feeling empty, sad, confused, and overall dissapointed by the end.     I am quite disappointed with this game. First of all, it should be noted that the gameplay is almost the same as that of the first game but the graphics and music of this game are excellent. Having said that, I think the story is complete trash, literally spitting and killing everything that the first game managed to build.

    Game sucks. Totally disrespectful to the legacy of the Ellie/Joel dynamic, and the developers made them way out of character. Graphics look good, but it takes more than good graphics to make a good game. All in all, a very unsatisfying, disappointing, and upsetting sequel to one of the best and most loved games on the ps4. Reminds me of the disappointment and frustration of Mass effect 3.

The second game does some good things when it comes to gameplay and survival but the real thing anyone bought this game for was the story(specifically Ellie and Joel). People bought this game because they fell in love with the characters in the first game and wanted to see them get a happy ending. However this game tries to teach players a lesson about there being 2 sides to every story and that humans make mistakes and that the people we love can be bad. But it’s just fking terrible. The way they deliver the death of a beloved character early on is just fking retarded and then they try to get u to like the person that killed that character by getting her to pet a dog. This game is trash. Any fans of the first game would not enjoy this one because it’s basically naughtydog taking a **** on the characters in order to sell this story of 2 sides and introducing a new character nobody wanted. Whatever person that likes these new characters is an absolute scrotum cause these guys have no problem being **** on. And after all the bull**** U would think they’d come up with an ending that left you satisfied and made u fell it was all worth it. But the ending was even more pointless than the game. This game is an absolute waste of everybody’s time. And some people would have you believe that the reason gamers don’t like this game is because all the social justice **** they put in here. Nobody gives a **** that the protagonists are female and nobody gives another **** about Ellie being lesbian. I’m happy for her even!!     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. bit late for this review but i realised i should write something to atleast vent, and so i think the only way to describe this game is depressing and this game did to the last of us series what season 8 of game of thrones did to that series, everything that made the series good was stripped and the charcters that we loved from the first game got treated like trash cause "reasons" like cmon if you wanted a female lead just use ellie dont make us play this new trash charcter WHO JUST MURDERS BLOODY JOEL LIKE AN ANIMAL and yet we are supposed to like her realy, and if thats not even the worst of it ellie another beloved charcter gets treated like crap cause revenge is bad for her, yet for abby nah its all good nice message there, i truly dont give a flying f if they wanted to change protags and have a female lead but use the one people loved ie ellie everyone would have praised that, or hell if you wanted to have this new charcter have us actully grow to like her before you have her murder joel so then youd actully get that "crap whos in the right" if you did that i may have still been excited for a 3rd game

    now moving away from the points already said a million times, the games story is nothing but a damm slog from depressing to depressing with zero levity, and in the end the game leaves you hollow to the point you dont want another game, the charcters are terrible and some are generic, our new "hero" is just bland she does nothing that makes her intresting well other then murdering joel o and having the cringeist sex scene i have ever seen and thats saying alot, i mean this **** as much as defenders claim aint sexual cause it aint p--no style are lieing cause you see full nudity and thrusting sure you dont see the bottom half but you can still see whas happening without that

    ill admit this game did atleast add more when it came to the gameplay so ill give it a point there but to be honest its basiclly adding onto somthing that was already decent so id givve half a point if i could, though should add the ai was weird somtimes it was great, other times it was as dumb as rocks, and i guess well make the other half be if you make your own fun it can be enjoyable i know i had fun hullk smashing with bodybuilder abbys arms

    Complete disappointment, this is a master class on how to ruin your IP, same old gameplay, one dimensional characters and bad story writing, the only good thing about it is the graphics which so many games have achieved that level before so it is not something ground breaking. utter trash!

This is single player story based game, so its strong point must be on the narrative part. And this part is so weak, first because of the way characters are handled, not giving them proper conclusions or completely destroying character traits for just pushing the story! Second, reusing the same combat engine from the first game (after seven years, they couldn’t come up with something new) and third, ruining the games story for pushing, like always seen in other games and movies this stupid politics agenda! Look, they made us care for Joel and Ellie in the first Last of us! So tell me, why couldn’t they just give the proper respect to them and end it in a much meaningful and respectful way?… Expand

    This is the worst game in the history of all games. The story is awful. If you want to play for the combat and liked the combat of the first game and then its a lot of the same thing for 25 hours and you might like it. But if you are playing for the story and want to experience something as amazing as the first game then stay away from this one. You will be seriously disappointed.     This game subverted my expectations: I thought they were going to make a good story, but then Naughty Dog subverted that hope by making a crap story instead. It was preachy, hypocritical, and a depressing waste of time. I played TLOU at least a half dozen times, and I sold TLOU2 the day after I finished it. Don’t pay for crap and reward the abuse to the developers who were forced to work insane hours in a crunch culture. Also the game forces you to kill dogs as “the evil character”. Thanks for that. I’m not a troll and I’m pro LGBTQ rights, but this story was just insulting. I played it months ago now and still can’t get over how bad it was, especially compared to the first.     The game does have nice graphics and a correct gameplay, but the story is plain bad.
    I won't spoil but it basically has a crappy plot (with plotholes too big to ignore) with disgusting characters and an awful ending. Clearly an unworthy sequel.

Ellie deciding not to kill Abby is also ridiculous because she literally killed all of Abby’s friends, even going so far as to bash Nora’s head in with a lead pipe. It’s funny too because Ellie basically saves Abby in the end and let’s her go because she otherwise most likely would have died on the beach. How are we as an audience supposed to care about Abby? She threatens to kill a pregnant woman in front of her girlfriend, shoots Tommy in the face, murders Joel with a golf club, shoots Jessie in the face and we are expected to care about her? Let alone like her? Big deal, her dad saved a Zebra from some barbed wire, who cares? I know I don’t. And why does every game today have to shove a political agenda down everyone’s throat? I enjoyed the first Last of Us despite its flaws, but I’m afraid now I will never buy another Naughty Dog game again. Filmmakers and game directors need to stop directly attacking the people that consume their products. Someone please fire Neil ****… Expand

After an unnecessary forced, looooong, repetitive and no sense story/gameplay I wished many times to end but no, there was always more...

    Graphics are outstanding.

    Music is good, but it is not as highlighted as it was in the first game so, it loses power. Gameplay is repetitive

    Story is so forced, it was a cool idea but not so well developed IMO.

    I don't feel like I was playing a game created by the same team. At the end when the game asked me if I wanted to play again, I was like, I don't think so. (I played the first TLOU like 6 times)    … Expand

TLOU was my absolute favorite game for the PS3 and I have replayed the Remaster on PS4 numerous times. So when my eldest son (he's 22) told me that this was the absolute worst game he has ever played I found it hard to believe. He wasn't as big of a fan of the first one as me. So I borrowed the disk for Part 2 from him when he finally slogged through it (took him months because as he said "there are so many far better games to occupy my time with".

    The world and graphics are great but they are only slightly better than GoT on my 4k TV. However that is not what makes this game the worst game ever made (my son was completely correct). They took everything that was great about the first game and took a giant **** on it. ND was not, until now a developer known for destroying their franchise games. I could not even continue this game after the 2 hour mark (killing Joel Miller has probably put me off future ND games for good). I deleted this game right after that event and will never take a second look. My son didn't even want the game back and told me to donate it to the local game store.

    Recommended to NO ONE who has fond memories of the first game. I never got passed 2 hours but I can tell this game is CRAP!    … Expand

    3 ставлю только из-за мести, которая в сюжете всем слепит глаза. История о девочке, ставшей чудовищем, которая уничтожала все что ей мешало в её цели. МЕСТИ. Ты уже начинаешь переживать не сколько об Элли, сколько о её поступках
    Собственно почему не 10?
    В самом начале нам демонстрируют гибель глав. протагониста первой части , которого все так любили, и его убили как последнюю собаку.
    Многовато в последнее время лгбт-шной тематики и прочей дури.
    Мы хотим историю мира и раскрытие персонажей, их взаимоотношения, а не взгляды на ориентацию.    … Expand

Abby for the whole second half of the game when we don’t care and introduces a little random bald kid who becomes her sidekick. They made Ellie unsure of herself and not committed to her true goal and it was all for nothing, everything we do during the whole game is ultimately for nothing and Ellie is just alone and broken in the end with such a generic message of the overall game that “revenge is bad” blah blah blah.     The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.
