O jogo tinha tudo para um desenrolar magnifico, mas matam o Joel do nada, um cara que era desconfiado de tudo e todos, e do nada o jogo vira uma onda de vingança parecendo o GOW, tirando que eles deixaram o jogo pesado demais com isso não da nem vontade de querer jogar de novo, forçam muito o emocional do jogador, estende de mais o jogo e tipo os gráficos estão lindos mesmo, mas é só isso, vingança você vê em todos os games e é bem comum isso, quem é fan boy vai dizer que o jogo tá ótimo mas não ta a historia é vazia, sem um proposito a mais, só vingança, e com partes que você cansa ate de jogar que é a parte da Abby, se fosse pra ser assim o jogo nem tinham q ter sido feito, cagaram totalmente com a desenvoltura dele, espero que não tenha parte 3 por que ele não teria mais o que conta por que todos os personagens que a gente amava morreram de formas revoltantes.… Expand

    Excelentes gráficos y jugabilidad. Pésima historia, cambiaron completamente el giro de la precuela llevando a los protagonistas al olvido, el final te deja un horrible sabor de boca. NO merece gastar 60 dólares en él.

    This is a disgrace. They spit in your face and leave you with nothing at the end of a nonsensical story. But hey - expectations subverted - that should be a 10/10 amirite folks?
    This game gets a 0 from me. Not because the gameplay or scenary is bad - in fact it is really good - it gets a 0 because they sold this hot garbage on false advertisment and fed into false expectations of a continuation of the first part deliberately. I don't know if such deception counts as fraud, but it should definitely count as false advertisment and I hope a lawsuit will emerge from this.
    (to clarify what i mean - they altered cutscenes in the trailer in a deliberate attempt to mask veeery important plotpoints that might have influenced your choice of buying - and the lead designer deliberately lied about the playable characters - or rather who you have to play as)

    This is GOT Season 8, Star Wars Episode 7-9 or Terminator Dark Fate all over. Deconstruction of what you love, spitting in the face of fans, subverting expectations for the lulz no matter how non-sensical and contrived it has to be for that, no matter how much out of character - even if its a 180 on previous behaviours.

    I repeat, do not get fooled by the professional reviewers - their jobs and future access to games for reviews depend on high ratings - they won't tell you the truth about this game. It's a hot steaming dump right into your lap.    … Expand

    I’ve never felt so empty after playing a game in my life. I really have mixed emotions about this game. It was definitely one of the saddest games of all time, but not in a good way. I felt the parts where you played as Ellie were great. I enjoyed her bond with Dina and Joel, even if we only see him a few times in the entirety of the game. I despised Abby as a character. I don’t think Joel’s death was executed well at all. In the first game he is shown to be smart during the apocalypse, yet in this one he is sloppy and let’s himself get ambushed and killed. He died too early and in a way that just felt offensive. The graphics and atmosphere are incredible, the combat is good and it was satisfying killing the WLF members, but the ending to this game was god awful. It felt so disrespectful to let Abby live and have Ellie be the one suffering loss. The two characters we loved in the first game are treated so disrespectfully in this one, and the ending just made me feel so empty. I really hope that if there’s a next instalment to the series that Naughty Dog learn from this. And I hope to god we don’t play as Abby or let her survive.… Expand

    Scoring: graphics 9/10 sound 9/10 acting 9.5/10 gameplay 5/10 (did not innovate gameplay at all over the course of 7 years) story 2/10 (bland revenge story that has been overused)    I was immensely disappointed by this game.     I got to a 3/10 because for a story driven game where the story is bland none of the technical achievements mean much, when you cant enjoy and buy into a story the ends about half way through, you already know who dies and what happens to side characters there isnt much in the way of surprises for roughly 10 hours because you can use your intuition and know exactly what is going to happen within those 10 hours your playing, Its also weird to see a story teller try to manipulate you into liking a character that is inherently evil and is proven to be this way constantly throughout the game. While they try and convince you the beloved character is the evil one for defending them self and being forced to do certain things that they could've worked around easily or avoided. This game is also not getting bad reviews because everyone who doesn't enjoy it is a homophobe because that would be quite the dilemma for me being a bi male it portrays the LGBT+ characters as ones who lash out when people defend them and not accepted by anyone but 1 person which is a shame because of how progressive this game is. It doesn't serve the community well at all as it paints it as a community that just wants to stand for itself and lash out at people trying to protect them and defend them from bigots, and for the trans character there are only 2 people who accept him which isnt a message (I'm not trans but I have a feeling that they wouldn't want to be shown this message) someone who is trans or is transitioning shouldn't be worried about is people to accept them for who they are. Overall the progressiveness missed the mark by having a negative light on most of the things that are concerned with sexuality and how people feel inside and how other refuse to accept them and when they are accepted they lash out at the people who accept them and defend them it makes us look horrible and its a shame they felt the need to go in this direction with the progressive characters. Finally if you see people saying the game is supposed to realistic and it wont have respectable deaths for every character, I raise one question, and that is how are women who are pregnant able to do things the average human probably couldn't with as much ease as they have doing the specific task to me it seems weird to make an argument about how the game is supposed to be ultra-realistic then have viably pregnant women go to the front lines and perform very demanding tasks.

    All of the above is the reason I gave this game a 3/10.    … Expand

Joel survived for 40 years and gives his name to people he just met. It’s a revenge story yet the villain gets revenge and a happy ending but Ellie loses everything. They crapped all over Joel’s character, and THEN DOESN’T EVEN LET YOU KILL THE STUPID, overdeveloped surgeon NPC characters kid that did it. Don’t know who wrote this, but they must have a set agenda as it is painstakingly obvious as well the more you play. They make you play as the villain for a stupid amount of time, and (S)he has a sex scene which made me want to vomit. A lot of the interactions are awkward as hell as well. Now that I am past the bad, here’s the good. The gameplay is beautiful,and detailed. The animations are smooth and work well almost all the time. The combat system is good, but a tad wonky sometimes, and Dina is apparently fully invisible to enemies. So yeah, that’s my review.… Expand

    Its a bummer to see Joel die as he was the main character in lou1 and I feel like nowadays games feel the need to make people gay or lesbian and it feels so forced and the gameplay just honestly sucks the need for supplies is low it’s not an overall experience, the ai for the companions always get in the way push you out of cover and get you killed ect

    I am a huge fan of last of us 1. That being said this game is the next level as far as feel goes. I enjoyed the feel of the game. The pacing was decent but this is a short game. No way we waited 7 years for such a short game. Secondly there is no multiplayer. How dare you try to release the multiplayer separately to gouge us? Thirdly, i could’ve done without the romance.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. en ocasiones la gente quiere expresarse sin sentirse atacado por dar tu opinión, pero yo creo, que toda opinión es valida cuando tiene cierto fundamento , the last of us 2 es un juego que tiene muchas emociones encontradas en mi, los gráficos indudablemente son excepcionales , el sonido es muy rico y variado en los entornos generando una ambientación única el los sitios con sus respectivas animaciones que los detonan y deja entrever el talento de los diseñadores del juego. en su apartado audiovisual no deveria de sorprendernos viniendo de naughty dogs. pero a laves tiene algo que de merita al juego enormemente y es su historia, cuando yo juego algo siempre espero ver una armonía en todos sus elementos pero no halle eso en su interior de guion, me sentí defraudado por el desenlace de personajes y de historia, es como comer algo que sabe bien pero también tiene un olor nada grato, si al final de cada bocado no te quitaras de la mente que su olor te desagrada pero a la ves sabe exquisito y no tiene nada que ver con la orientación sexual de los personajes sino el como se les condujo en cada acontecimiento en el trayecto final de la trama. para mi suma incoherencia la poca determinación de la protagonista en su objetivo final es como una traición a a la confianza de sus seres queridos que velaron por ella, en un mundo tan ruin y malvado no cabe el arrepentimiento si tu ya no tienes nada que perder. la personaje principal ellie demostró ser una genocida de sangre fría por necesidad y no por gusto, para proteger a los suyos y a su ves para terminar perdonadle la vida ala villana?… Expand

    The vast difference in user and critic scores goes to show just how out of touch these people are with the real people who play this game. I gave this game a 3 just because it had beautiful visuals. The story of part two **** on everything that was established in the first game. Horribly disrespectful to fans like me who waited 7 years for this game.

I tried not to read any spoilers because I personally beleived that there is no way that they could possibly do anything to this game that would make me not like it. The gameplay is almost exactly as it was in 2013 and has very few improvements. The graphics look good as they should being 2020. The story is what this game is all about. Trust me when I say that without the great story of the first one it would have been a very mediocre game itself. I just dont understand how nobody at the company was able to say "Uhum......this is not going to go over well because the story is SH!T" After the death of Joel i completely uninstalled. It just blows my mind what kind of idiot would actually come up with this crap. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE! DO NOT BUY...........Garbage game… Expand

After having played this game, while the graphics are wonderful and the game definitely keeps you on your toes at times, the story is sadly lacking and forces you to play as a highly unlikable character for half of the game after killing off a key character to the story..     On the technical level the game is quite amazing, super good looking and solid physics.
    On the gameplay level, it can become quite repetitive and predictable at time. The AI is nothing to amazing, basically the same as in the first game.     The AI is nothing to amazing, basically the same as in the first game. Even though there was some effort to upgrade the existing stuff from the first game they are still quite stupid, predictable and exploitable (stabbing all the enemy one by one in the same map corner and stuff like that).

Look im all for respecting what ever the **** the current issue is, which seems to be everything now a days, but they turned this game into a message rather than an amazing story, they forgot their roots and force you to be apart of this bs... they mislead everyone with fake scenes from trailers and just absolutly cram their agenda down your throat. People play games for an escape from reality and when you put real world issues like this into a game about a zombie apocalypse, it makes people question the developers intentions. I really hate to say it but the story is terrible and SPOILER alert if your not aware, you are forced to play as the antagonist for 8 hours, its absurd... i give it a 3 / 10 . Honestly it hurts me to even say that, maybe I'm a "bigot", maybe m not "woke" enough... idk but this story ****ing sucks. What a let down after waiting 7 years... this is what the fans get, this is honestly one of the worst things to happen in 2020.… Expand

    The real problem of this game is that the scenario and narrative are so bad it quickly makes your forget about the nice technical aspects.
    Waited years for a sequel with the 2 main protagonists, and I am forced to play half the game with a new one who has the charisma of a dump rag.

If only I could excuse you for what you did to Joel’s character, along with the original nature of all TLOU characters, this game would be great. But you take the cautious slow-to-trust Joel who will ignore a family on the road and kill and “injured” man with his truck (rightfully so), and make him into a weak, pathetic excuse of an imposter. How could Joel ever trust a random stranger in the woods instantly, let alone a whole freaking suspicious gang of them? And after years of killing, and literally annihilating the Fireflies and preventing a vaccine, you still decide to keep your same name. Pathetic. joel should have died heroically, or at least not by his own stupidity that’s not true to him.

    And for you to make 10 hours of gameplay attempt to make Abby’s actions appear valid, to the point of forcing the player to bash Ellie’s face in nearly?? Anyone with half a heart and brain would be able to reason better that Joel’s crime was far more justified than hers. Her story line is disgusting, horrible filler material.

    And Ellie. Raised on the grit and character of Joel and the feds, she even showed this in the first game very quickly. Yet somehow she now second guesses her vengeance AFTER murdering hundreds of people, which costs her everything? You leave your dedicated fan base with nothing to enjoy, nothing to even feel good about being sad about. Her last moments with Joel shown, the brief bliss of JJ, finding Abby - I would’ve even been happier if she just got in the boat at first, and not blue ball her death just to make a pointless point.

    This game pushes a lot on its fans - many of which are no longer fans - and though you may think you’re “righteous” for teaching everyone a lesson in revenge (which was horribly HORRIBLY contradicting itself every other chapter), all you’ve done is abandon TLOU and kill off everyone who waited for the ACTUAL story to continue. I mean, its the worst story that I have ever seen in a video game! Naughty Dog made Joel a stupid man and killed the main protagonist in the first hour of the game. Ellie is now a total potato who swears revenge, her actions aren't really emotional. Then, you have to play with the killer of the best character of the game, whatta hell I don't wanna play as a character like that! The game is full of nonsense and everything looks superficial. In the end, Ellie, who transformed in a killing machine for revenge, give up on killing the villain, letting Abby alive. Really, the game sucks, man! After playing you feel dumb and realize that The Last of Us Part II the way it is doesn't make any sense. You wait 7 years and receive a garbage like that. Looks like Naughty Dog took the greatness of the first game and threw away, its really a sad thing. The graphics of the game are really good, and only that. However, the storyline was terrible you have to spend over 10 hours playing as Abby who killed joe just a few chapters before. They then delve into the characters backstory which is nice to see there motives but that could have been summerized in a cutscene. I play last of us 1 and loved the characters I expected Joel to die in this game as Ellie’s motivation to attack whoever did it. Just didn’t think I would spend half the game playing as a character I hate to my core.… Expand

    The only bad thing about this game is the terrible story. The Developers are trying hard to make you fell bad but the only thing i feel trough the game is cringe. For a story driven game the PC Agenda destroys the Game, espacilly if you loved the first one. Literally every character from the first one acts out of character.

The story is boring and uninspired, the gameplay is almost identical (which I guess is good if you are happy with the same gameplay over again), the characters are unlikeable and never learn anything, the ending is super unsatisfying and nonsensical, the game is full of weird and bad writing, the entire game is specifically formulated to make you feel miserable (which is NOT a rumour, it was officially confirmed by a lot of people who have worked on the game). If you take the game on it's own, it feels like an semi-Indie game with AAA game graphics. The developers are constantly blaming completely false things for the bad reviews, saying "oh, bots are review-brigading the game, it's not real people", or "they only dislike it because Ellie is g@y". Okay, lemme tell you why both of these claims are false. Technically, yes, there are definitely bots AND people review-brigading the game, but lemme tell you something. There are an equal amount of people review-brigading the game to give it a 10/10. There are an equal amount of review-brigadiers on the 10/10 reviews as there are on the 0/10 reviews. The second statement is so dumb that it makes me laugh. The Last Of Us: Left Behind (the DLC for the first game) was very, VERY heavy on Ellie being g@y, and that was rated incredibly high, so that argument is kaput. People hate TLOU2 because it spits on the first game and it's legacy, it is written badly, it isn't original, it isn't new, and it isn't good unless you're purely looking at graphics. I would say if you love TLOU, don't buy this, if you really, REALLY want it, wait for a sale, see if you can score it for super cheap off someone else, or borrow a copy from a friend. Absolutely shameful, Naughty Dog. You've spit on TLOU, it's characters, and the legacy it created.… Expand

It’s majority a walking simulator with pretty textures put on bad models. Over half the game is you playing as the main antagonist of the game and you don’t even get the satisfaction of kill that person for what they’ve done to you. You story is full of plot holes and dumb twists that don’t make any sense when you stop to think about it SPOILERS AHEAD. Why did Abby leave Ellie and Tommy alive? Sure, she was there to kill Joel but both Tommy and Ellie had seen them and obviously due to Ellie’s reaction and Tommy be his brother Abby would have had to have known they’d come after her. Why did Ellie only realize revenge is bad after she’d already killed literally everyone else who was involved? Why would Joel follow Abby back to her group when he’d always been suspicious of everyone he’d ever met up until that point? And why of all the people they could have chosen was it the doctor’s daughter who came after Joel. Joel has spent 20 years doing awful things before he met Ellie. Of all the people he must have hurt and killed in that time it was the random doctor who was hell bent on killing Ellie for the cure that comes back to haunt Joel. I remember playing that part of the first game, I didn’t feel bad for killing the doctor, I killed him and his entire team because they were going to kill Ellie who I as they player cared about. This game has single handedly ruined my trust in Naughty Dog. I don’t trust that what they tell me about their games is true anymore and I don’t trust that they’ll be capable of writing a competent story from this point forward. This game gets a 1 solely because the game was stable and playable. It was not fun, it was not entertaining, and worst of all it was a disgrace to first half of the story we got 7 years ago. Naughty Dog needs the let the Last of Us die because I know, as a fan of their game up to now, I won’t be playing the next one.… Expand

    Several mistakes were made in this game. The direction of the story is terrible and it leads the player feeling empty because there is nothing gained or learned from this entry and could possibly just be ignored. If you're looking for entertainment and a heartwarming story or enriching experience, this is NOT it.

    It sure would be one of the best games of the year.
    It´s too sad to see the creators break the beautiful bond between part 1 and 2. and that there is not a story that moved us or the immovable relationship between Joel and Elie

I mean, not even my 14 year old cousin that does drama writing at school can come up with something so disappointing. No, I did not want a happy ending but at least some sense into it would’ve been nice. Did Joel need to go out that way? Did we need to use a character that we never heard of? Trailers are totally misleading and fake advertising. Not even R* smashed us this bad with Johnny Klebitz’ death, at least we understood his downfall with drugs and met a bigger match but someone like Joel with so much experience didn’t need to die that way. You lost me at the ending, as well. Not that you all care anyways, you got your money boohoo.… Expand

I hated Abby from the get-go even before she killed Joel. Hated playing as her. She did have some fun skills/abilities but playing as the person that killed Joel for half the game? Are you kidding me? By the time I started playing as Abby again after she raided the theater I was bored of the game. Only reason I kept playing was because I loved the first game and wanted to find out the ending. Never did I think I would have to play as Abby for another 10-20 hours. This game dragged and dragged while you played as Abby . Only reason I’m not giving this game lower rating is because the combat/gameplay and graphics were amazing. But sadly that’s not enough to make a game a “masterpiece” for me. I realize sequels are very rarely as good or better than the original. But red dead redemption 2 was better than rdr1 imo so I know a great gaming company can do it. I hate to give such a low rating as I consider myself to be a glad half full kind of person but I just didn’t not enjoy anything in this game except the combat and graphics. I don’t totally hate the fact that Joel died for the sake of the story. I get it. Gotta move on or the game would be the same as the last. I can’t think of anything else that would have motivated me more to play this game. But by the end I was relieved I was finally done with this game. The ending was trash. You travel to California to kill Abby to finally avenge Joel and Ellie just lets her go when she’s about to kill her. That’s the only reason I kept playing. So I could kill Abby which was THE WHOLE POINT OF THE GAME. Awful. That’s all I gotta say. Play the game but don’t get your hopes up. I did and was thoroughly disappointed.… Expand

I am now currently replaying the first game so I can actually feel something good after all of the joy was sucked out of me. Terrible writing, zero character development, the plot?... cancer. I got zero satisfaction from playing this game. Don’t buy it.
