    I can't describe how disappointed and angry I was after seeing this preposterous story. Neil is the most irresponsible and shameless writer I've ever seen. How much I love TLOU, how much I hate TLOU2. Political right won't bring equality or reconciliation, it will only fk up everything and bring confliction.

    Look the graphics are beautiful but this does not make it a good game, very repetitive gameplay the story is not good
    boring and uninteresting, not to mention that they put political idiology into this game, the thing that I really don't care for, this is my opinion sorry people would love to like this game is no longer possible.

Навязанные сексуальные контакты как за Элли так и за Эбби, так мало того что они вам навязаны, так эти персонажи еще и не вызывают никакой симпатий к ним, ты даже отказать им не можешь. Зачем добавлять в игру навязанный секс? Не нужна в играх ебля бесконтрольная игроком.
    Волосатые подмышки Дины? Вы серьёзно? Зато у страшной и уродливой Эбби все норм. Мерзость.
    Слитый Джоэл. ГЕРОЙ ПЕРВОЙ ЧАСТИ ИГРЫ. Чувак который выживал туеву тучу лет сливается так легко ? Не в какой-то перестрелке, а избитый до смерти клюшкой. Вы что серьёзно? Так слить Джоэла?
    Зачем нам дали играть за Эбби? Нахрена черт возьми!? Эта баба убила Джоэла, и вы даете играть за эту мерзость ? Серьёзно? Какая бы у нее не была причина для убийства Джоэла, какая бы она добрая не была в душе, она убила моего любимого героя первой части, я не смогу ее понять никак, после такого я желаю ей только скорейшей смерти, я не хочу играть за нее.

    Gameplay is nothing special, it plays almost the same as the first title. However, the main issues with the game come from the story. The great characters and bonds between them established in the first game are gone, storytelling is awful and new, awful characters are introduced.     What made the first episode amazing, beautiful, touching and poetic was exactly not having to binary decide if Joel decision was good or bad. The part II literally does the opposite and destroys any form of subtility and force the player to admit what he didn't have to in the first place.
    Oh and also Neil, respect the franchise and your own work.     Not much to say here. This game is more or less a DLC to the first one that somehow took them 7 years to make. It heavily reused assets. The enemy and environment design is more or less identical to the previous game. The sound design is identical to the previous game. The menus and user interface are more or less identical to the previous game. The gameplay is nearly identical with a fewNot much to say here.     The AI is so legendarily garbage you can pretty much just walk up to it at times. The story pacing is a mess. We are introduced to characters one after another with no time to develop any kind of feelings for them and they are killed off just as quickly. With such a rapid fire of companion deaths it really challenges the disbelief that OUR character just happens to be the chosen survivor of each encounter. Every attempt to make you 'feel' something or shock you/subvert your expectations is the dictionary definition of hamfisted. It's just all around a terrible experience that feels like it was authored by an 11 year old from fanfiction.net    … Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Sad and disappointed. I loved the first game so much and it feels like the sequel just screwed everything over. After all the leaks I had at least hoped that the relationships between the characters would keep me going - but it didn't.

    Beloved characters acted completely out of character, best example Joel's death early into the game that was caused by him walking into a group of strangers and giving them his name - which seems so weird when you think about the Joel we met in the first game.

    The game was filled with unnecessary, very graphic violence and torture p*rn at some points. I remember someone saying that this game is "rarely any fun" and that's right - the game isn't fun at all, it's depressing. And not in a good way because most of the characters in the game are so uninteresting to the story that you don't particularly mourn them. It's just boring.

    The graphics are of course outstanding and the acting is very good, even though some dialogue seems very forced and unnatural. I liked the flashback scenes with Joel - this is what I would've wanted more. More Joel, more hope. But all I was left with was Ellie, left alone by her friends and her love, missing 2 fingers, letting the one who killed Joel live and going off into the wild.

    I really hope they don't make Part 3, I don't think they can fix this.    … Expand

    The Last of Us 2 is hardcore trauma p0rn where cishet characters and racial minorities die horribly or randomly, often traumatizing the hell out of queer characters who end up surviving. Nobody wanted this. It's all shock value. It's especially insulting how the game came out during Pride Month and also Father's Day weekend in some countries.

    Embarrassingly enough, I spent $100 on this game, and regret it fully. Graphically beautiful, mechanics are alright, gameplay itself is meh, and plot had been butchered. Sad to see another series go down like this :(

    Terrible story arc compared to the first game. Another clear example how identity politics and bad writing are destroying all current series, movies and games. The story is unfulfilling at best, bitter ending and lacks any emotional attachment other than Joel dying for nothing.

    I regret buying this so much, this is the perfect recipe on how to make gay characters hateable, we all played ME3 and DA:I and had gay characters, there was no problem, but you force this, you make a loved character become hateable, make us do regrettable things then berate us for it and dont get me started on the massive disparity between votes, 95 critic score? are you insane?

Es increíble que un juego que te haga sentir incomodidad o te provoqué desazón, por causas no vinculadas a las características del juego, sin embargo, este si que lo logra provocar un sensación de disgusto. No tengo nada en contra de la comunidad LGBT, pero en este videojuego sentí como si me obligaran a ver o participar de algo que no quiero y que realmente no aporta en lo más mínimo a la historia del juego.
    Realmente es una tortura que un maldito videojuego te quiera meter la homosexualidad por la fuerza, vuelvo a mencionarlo, no tengo absolutamente nada en contra de la comunidad LGBT, no siento ningún repudio u odio hacia las parejas homosexuales, pero que te metan escenas lésbicas en un videojuego, realmente solo por "diversidad", me parece una estupides.

    And the main issue,the history.
    -Joel Was killed for no motive on the plot.

Let's talk about THE WITCHER III for example: Kind of clumky gameplay, but overwellmingly good story, so people don't actually mind the gameplay all that much. Unfortunately, this cannot be said about THE LAST OF US 2. And it lasts about 25 hours! 25 !!! And 10 of them you have to endure Abby. You do not worry about her and can’t sympathize this character. It has no emotional connection.

While I understand what Naughty dog was going for by the end of the game, it just wasn't for me, and I can't see myself wanting to playthrough this one again.

I loved the father and daughter bound between Joel and Ellie in the first game just as the bound between Lee and Clementine from the Walking Dead of Telltales. You can't just destroy a hero like that and force the fans to play complete stranger who brutally murdered that father figure in a most gruesome way. I cried when Lee Everett died in Walking Dead but the difference is he didn't just die for nothing, he died in peace feeling proud of Clementine and he had his peace with the death. But Joel got killed horribly right in front of Ellie and the spitting on the body of Joel right after his graphic killing is the most despicable insult one can make to fan base. I am done with Naughty Dog games.… Expand

If you want to pay 60 bucks to get preached to by the PC police then this game is for you! If not, avoid at all costs. I would have even been fine with certain things happening, i knew there was a reckoning coming for some characters, but the way they actually do it, and the entire storyline is just an epic failure.     Despite advances in graphics its completely undone by its story and monotonous gameplay. I found myself struggling to keep playing with a lot of the wash, rinse, repeat gameplay. By the time I got to the Seattle day 2, I found the entire game to just be a chore to get through.

    Firstly, the fact that they killed of Joel is actually fine with me. I get it, create drama, a new story line, seek revenge, etc.
    But the way they did it is absolutely disgusting. It's as if this Joel is a totally different character from the first game. They turned him absolutely moronic, made him do a mistake he'd never do and let him die off in an ambush without giving him any honor.
    Are you seriously trying to tell me that Joel, someone with more than 25+ year of experience in that post apocalyptic world, suddenly starts trusting random strangers who appeared on his patrol and walks straight up into their camp without checking whether it's actually save for him or not?
    Like wtf? That's the total opposite of what he did in the very first game when he was on the way to bring Ellie to the fireflies and had his first encounter with raiders.
    Why would someone who is normally always cautious, someone who has killed and made A LOT of enemies suddenly turn so gullible and stupid? Running into a camp full of uniform wearing people. I **** can't.

    Secondly, why the **** does it seem like as if there are only women in the game?
    First off, I have nothing against women, i think it's actually pretty cool that you find female enemies and Ellie is obviously awesome and dear to everyone's heart who played the first game.
    But aren't you taking it a bit too **** far?
    Disregarding the fact that Naughty Dog killed off their male main protagonist,
    they turned Ellie into a lesbian and made her have a female partner. Sure, it's fine, nothing original.
    It's not like any other goddamn game or movie with a female main protagonist tried to please the LGBT/feminist community by turning everything lesbian or by showing how women dont need men, etc.
    The main antagonist, Abby is also a woman. You know what? It's cool. Rarely seen and i'm fine with it.
    But why the **** are like 80% of the enemy human NPCs women? Aren't you making it too **** obvious who you are trying to please? I wouldn't be **** surprised to zoom in on infected and find a pair of boobs on every goddamn bloater.
    Underrepresenting females is not good, so you chose to overrepresent them? wtf?
    The reason this ****s me off is because the way youdo it is way too different from the first game. What, you are trying to tell me that most men suddenly died and only females are left in this world? It doesn't even make **** sense. But I guess Joel killed of most of the male goons in the first game huh.

    No opinion on the story yet, since i haven't finished it yet. But it's already getting **** on here by everyone else so there really is no need for me to mention anything about it. But man, what a disappointment.    … Expand

They killed off Joel in the first couple of hours in the game and they make you play as the person who killed him. The game is painfully slow and the gameplay isn’t really a step up from the first game besides being able to dodge attacks, but even that is flawed since you need to press the sprint button in order to dodge which is annoying.… Expand

    However, the story of this game is complete and utter trash. It would have been mediocre if it was simply about getting revenge and actually finishing it. It's so incredibly dumb that they force you to play as Abby for about half the game. When I had finally finished playing through Seattle as Ellie, I was relieved because it felt like a chore the entire time. I was expecting it to end in the theater, and for there to be some half assed ending.
    When I instead realized that I had to play through Seattle from Abby's perspective, I nearly quit playing. I took a break for a few hours and decided that I was just going to play it through since I had already bought and downloaded the game, and there was no way for me to refund it.

    Oh my god. Was that supposed to be entertainment? If playing through Seattle as Ellie felt like a chore, this was like being in a concentration camp. Did they really think we would begin to like Abby? The new character who murdered the best part about The Last of Us part one? They really gave us 10 minutes of backstory and expected us to somehow start sympathizing with her? Holy **** I can't even begin to fathom how this **** played itself out in the writer's room. What Neil Druckmann did here is without a doubt a worse murder of a franchise than what D&D did to Game of Thrones.
    And Yara and Lev? These characters are just worthless. I felt no connection to them whatsoever.

    I've waited for this game for 7 whole years, and I can't even describe how disappointed I am. I feel so god damn bad for the developers who did an outstanding job on this game in every aspect, only to have it be ruined by TERRIBLE writing. Also, the fact that Neil wrote himself into the game only to spit on the body of Joel is a beautiful metaphor of how out of touch Neil is. Everything he touches turns to **** The change in direction he forced on Uncharted 4 made the people who made the last 3 leave. He went so far up his own ass to sniff his own farts that he's currently inside out. It's insane. The absolute gall of that man, to come onto the development of TLOU2, kill everything that was good about it, and then spit on it's corpse. It's beyond belief.

    Everything in this game felt like a forced lecture. No, I don't want to play a video game during a global crisis to learn about how bad revenge is, and how it gets us nowhere. I want to avenge Joel and be done with the **** game.

    My disappointment is immeasurable, and my day is ruined. Good job Neil, you ruined one of my favorite games of all time with your abhorrent writing. I don't even **** care about the LGBTQ+ characters, whatever. If you think it's a good idea to add more of those to broaden the acceptance of that, that's fine by me. I do, however, think you did that community a disservice with your abhorrent, terrible, utter horse**** writing of these characters.

    **** this story. **** everything about it. From start to finish.
    I'm hoping I'll wake up tomorrow and that this has all just been a bad dream.

They do an awful job of introducing new characters, especially Abby. Could've had the audience get to know her more in order empathize with her instead of just forcing her on the audience with immediate hatred. It went from quite masterful writing in TLOU to downright amateur writing (think what happened to The Walking Dead in whatever season they're up to now but slightly worse than that even).

    Gameplay: not much changed besides some new equipment, ability enhancements, prone/crawling. With all this time to develop this game the new enemies and enemy variation is severely lacking, combined with poor enemy A.I. and oftentimes laughably broken friendly A.I. (for better or worse) results in repetitive scenarios and the best part is you can often sprint passed an entire wave of enemies, get to a quicktime event door and somehow are impervious to death and just get pushed into the next checkpoint. Puzzles have been oddly all but wiped out from the previous game and the developers added nothing new to replace the lack of puzzles besides more walking simulator. The camera often gets stuck and obstructed near walls/corners and the animations quickly get repetitive.

    Last but not least all these years to develop a game and no multiplayer included? The first game had a fun multiplayer I personally put many hours into and had my fun with. Makes it even more sad since they butchered the story so much their is no saving grace for this game.

    I work at gamestop and we gave this game away for free because we over ordered but alot of our customer will not take it even thought its free. Now we have to recoup our lost by increasing the price of our other items. I hope the boss wont repeat the same mistake when ps5 come out.
